1. I keep forgetting that my password on here is all old and not something I use anywhere else anymore...

2. Okay, since this point seems to be getting argued, I'll clear it up: I'm the one who started calling Shin "Taco-chan". I was trying to get his attention and I guess the rest of the Skype chat found it funny, so... yeah. Everyone then helped foster it into what it has become. Now you know. :V My favorite commercial, genuinely anyway, is the one they had for Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. You don't see fun video game commercials like that too often nowadays. Chibi, your story made me laugh. You so funny. lolol Also, I finally heard your song Gome. I hope you're happy. *pie'd*
3. Just a spoonful of futer helps the medicine go down!
4. For anyone who's curious enough, there's some links to various .hack//Quantum screencaps around. Luckily, I'm obsessed enough to have saved pretty much all of them, and for convenience's sake I have put them all into my own Photobucket album. BEHOLD! And enjoy. I know I've made a plethora of avatars ever since finding that cache of goodness. Other image related neato stuff is easy enough to find on the main website, like this: Characters | Storyboard Art (probably) | Set Design | Aomori | はての".hack" Oh, one other thing I should mention is the .hack//Quantum+ manga they'll be making as well. It'll start serializing on the 26th, around the same time the first episode of the anime premiers. I've put up a few images of what I've seen of the manga so far in my Photobucket album (the one I linked earlier). And finally, hot damn they have so much merchandise going on for this already. Just look at the stuff they're selling at the screening event: [link] Not to mention there's also a pending iPhone app that lets you download character designs or some crap like that onto your phone when you attend the events; there's still a few things you can do outside of those ventures, but yeah. Jeezum crowe, so much going on here with Quantum. @_@
5. lolz I didn't realize those questions were gonna be answered by Korey and Boo. I'll keep that in mind next time. Lovin' the new avatars, btw. Of course, the female does all the work and the men take all the credit. So typical! *shot* Oh, and the futer. The futer! I am totally naming a Pokemon that sometime. Technical commentaries: - Korey sounds great now; thanks James! - Shin my man, I liked the review but it felt you were either talking too fast or too low (which if so, it's hard to help, I know). Just some helpful advice for next time. Random comment: I think if I tried to participate something to the podcast, like a special segment, the only thing I could do is "Today in The World!" [Get it? It's a .hack thing... yeah.] EDIT: Come to think of it, that kind of segment wouldn't last long anyway. :V Questions: - I'm sure it was mentioned on the boards and I'm just being lazy, but why is Korey in Germany anyway? - What anime/game/other nerdity are you guys looking forward to these days? What's exciting you?
6. I got nothin'. Sorry.

7. Well I'll just be over here then, pronouncing things correctly. If you don't mind. EDIT:
You just ain't doin' it right.
I SEE THAT!
8. Nony

Yay for Elmo as your profile picture. :V

9. I love logging on to a forum so I can do some quick mod checking, only to find some very lewd photos have been posted by some Russian spam bot. :|
10. No, the series isn't going to continue. CC2 (the developers of the .hack games) have pretty much been saying, "It's ending. Period." As much as other .hack fans would love to stir up rumors that it's still going on, it's not. XP But I'm just happy 'cause at least it looks like we'll be getting an AWESOME anime to send off with. (There's plans for a CG movie, but we don't know too much about that right now.) With most .hack anime I have to say, "Yeeeeah, it's not really for everyone." However, my hope with Quantum is that I can point at it and go, "You will like this. Now watch it!"
11.
'Cheebee'? 'CHEEBEE'??? Augh! Is there some weird disease afflicting everyone where we pronounce everything in the weirdest fracking way possible? Good gosh. I don't know anyone who uses the Japanese pronunciation of anime ('ah-nee-may'; we say 'É?-nÉ?h-may' because we're lazy), but we can't get a bloody short-I off our tongues. Pleh.
But... isn't that how it's supposed to be pronounced? o_O I mean, the way Japanese pronunciation is, any i's are pronounced like an "ee" sound. Unless I'm not understanding what your rant is ranting about at all... I think the advertisements for the OB podcast should all say, "We have a Dutch guy!" :V
12. This is the anime I am most excited about these days: .hack//Quantum! (Me? Excited about a .hack anime? NO!) So rather than try and come up with my own original description, I'll just steal this one from dothackers.net:
"The World" once again flourishes, with over 10 million players playing "The World R:X", set in 2022. In a special Christmas event, three players set out to conquer an "unbeatable" quest: "The One Sin." .hack//Quantum tells the story of a party of adventurers: Tobias, Mary, and Sakuya, with familiar looking Avatars of past players. The OAV will be split up into three episodes.
Before I go on, here's a helpful video or two to give you an idea of what the heck this looks like. Finished watching them? Yes? No? GREAT! Let's move on! So characters! We have Sakuya (the girl with the long twin tails and orange outfit), Mary (long pink hair, little bikini top), Tobias (silver haired bishounen one), Hermit (the cutest little cat thing EVER), Shamrock (blue haired goth loli) and Smith (big golden armored man). These are just as far as we know right now, anyway. Also, the previously posted link has some info on the main trio's offline selves as well, which you see a bit of in the second video. As previously mentioned, Quantum is going to be a three-part OVA series; apparently each episode is about 35 minutes. The first episode will be premiering in Japan later this month on the 27th; the first BD/DVD release is set for late January. Other cool information can be found here, assuming you can navigate around Japanese: http://www.hack.channel.or.jp/quantum/ I'm so so so sooo excited for this. *v* It just looks like something that can really appeal to a larger audience, not just the .hack fanatics. Quantum can still prove me wrong on that, of course, but either way it's something I'm highly anticipating. And hopefully I've interested some of y'all now! 8D

You know, the biggest issue I take with that video... is the little four or five year old kid that they used. When the gimmick behind your whole thing is "**** hate", don't use a little kid! Don't encourage that kind of behavior! Good gosh, people; proper parenting plz kthnx.
14. Okay so I'll just drop these off here then. .hack//G.U. Trilogy scene Bad Romance Heck Yeah Gurren Lagann I'm fairly certain the last two have been done before by someone, but meh whatever. Enjoy.
15. I love that I just had to spend close to $180 on eight textbooks, most of which were used. I should be thankful though that at least none of them were $120 algebra textbooks or some nonsense like that. Oh, but I still have at least two more books to buy, on top of eventually paying for tuition. Woohoo!
16.
I just started watching Twelve Kingdoms which had a nice 1st episode.
Ahh yes, I like that show. lol The main girl is kind of annoying at first, but like you said you gotta understand her circumstances. I don't want to spoil anything, just... trust me, it's worth it to stick with the show. :3 So recently I roped Shinmaru into watching Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro with me. Dear lord, this is the goofiest detective show I've ever seen. So we have a demon (Nougami Neuro) who's already fed on all the mysteries in hell, therefore he comes to the human world to feed on juicy mysteries there. Then we have a girl named Yako who Neuro is making into this famous school girl detective so he can get a chance at better mysteries. Next we have a yakuza type named Godai. AND THEN later on they acquire a braid of hair named Akane, who is completely sentient of course. Although the goofiest thing of all are the villains. They transform (for some reason) into various animals or whatnot whenever their murderous mystery gets found out. It... is the most bizarre thing and it comes out of nowhere. But even with all the goofiness it's still fairly enjoyable. The only problem is that most of the mysteries are rather predictable or the audience is completely left out until they've already pretty much solved the darn thing. So ehh.
17. I really really like the bike races in .hack//G.U. It had some decent difficulty to it but was still fun to do and not super tedious and boring like most of the sidequests/mini-games in the series. It was also super neat to get bike parts from winning each mission which you could then make use of on the normal fields. Invisibility is the best. Oh yeah, another one from the same game: Crimson VS, a fun little card game. You put together a deck then "register" it, so while you're off doing things in The World, you have Crimson VS fighting other opponents with the deck you registered. It can take some actual strategy to win, although it's not too difficult either. Makes me wish I could have some real versions of those cards; in fact, they did sell some of them... in Japan. So of course I'll never get my hands on a copy of 'em.
18. After finally finishing Blood+, I've found another character to hate! Woohoo! Kai Miyagusuku "Sure I don't fully understand the dangers of this situation, but whiny whine whine anyway!" I can't say I completely understand why this guy gets under my skin. However, I do have a few reasons. For one, holy crap is he ever whiny. Good lord! You could argue he has some good reason to whine about what he does, but... no. Just no. It gets annoying, oh so annoying. I understand that
his father got killed suddenly by chiropterans and junk and so he wants to get back at them or whatever crap and he also wants to protect Saya and Riku and he really wants his father's damn gun and blah blah blah
but I stop caring after awhile. This complaint is really only applicable to the first season or two, but he never seems to fully understand just how dangerous this crap is! He doesn't get what's going on at all yet he wants to help somehow, and boy is he pushy about that. Gah. And then there's the last half of the show. I guess you could say he gets "better"... almost too much so. Good gosh, it was already kind of bad beforehand, but now EVERYONE just loves this kid! He can do no wrong. He is the fountain of wisdom and goodness and gosh he's changed and oh so mature. But I call bull. This reeks of Gary Stu-ism. I mean, seriously, in the last episode
he convinces Saya not to kill herself in the end, even though she had apparently made this resolution YEARS and YEARS ago! Not to mention before that he told Haji "I know you, man." No you do not. In the last frickin' episode Haji pretty much related this same sentiment to you, and yet NOW suddenly Haji listens to Kai! Kai should be an ambassador or some crap 'cause holy hell can he talk down a person easily.
Sorry. No. I am not convinced. Kai just stuck his nose into everyone's business, the pushy jerk, and then everyone loves him by the end of the show. Great, just what I needed. So sure, maybe he's not the hugest jerk, but the kid gets under my skin like very few characters can. Good gosh. And no, anime. I did not appreciate whatever fanservice you were trying to give me with certain Kai scenes. So stop it. :/
19. Des as Cure Sparkle will never stop being funny. Oh my gosh, that brought another fit of giggles. Good job again, chibi. XD It'd be great if you did end up coloring it, and if you did you would HAVE to share, ya hear? :/
20. Chibi, you did an amazing job, and Des in particular is hilarious oh my gosh. Nice job on the coloring too. :3
21. Lately I've been listening to "Shark in the Water" by V V Brown a lot lately; in fact, I'm listening to it right now! It's an extremely catchy song, darnit.
22. For some reason I've always considered "Atatakai Kizuna" from Scrapped Princess to be a fairly fitting theme song for me. Or, you know, if I wanted to be more obvious, I could say "Obsession" by See-Saw.
23. I have another one to mention, a more recent anime this time: Heartcatch Precure. Although I'm not completely averse to the magical girl genre, HP isn't something I would've normally looked at and gone, "Yeah, I definitely want to see that." If anything, I would've probably dismissed it as some stupid modern moe show or something. But then I got linked to the second ED and went, "Well crap, I love this. And that one girl there has a pretty cool character design..." So finally, I swallowed my pride and gave it a try. And boy am I glad I did. It's been a great ride so far.
24. Well this thread has been (mostly) disgusting so far. Let's try to remedy that now, shall we? Life Lesson: Always keep track of your dates, especially assignment, work or payment due dates. Write it down if you must. 'Cause you never know when you'll go into English class and find that the portfolio worth 50% of your grade is due NOW, not on Wednesday like you thought.
