Right now, I really hate being a transfer student.

Oh hay I thought of another one: Pokemon Snap. Come oooon, Nintendo! You know a sequel to that would be awesome! Especially with all the new Pokemon that have been made since the first (and only ) game came out.

Skies of Arcadia. Come on, guys. Pleeeeease! I want a sequel! Or a prequel! Anything, just give it to me. D:

James, your country needs to be more American. Be in summer, darnit!

Swearing is definitely one. I'm starting to say cuss words out loud far more often than I used to, although I still try to keep myself from saying "the really bad ones" too often. The other day, I said the word "badass" in front of a kid, and it took me ten seconds to realize that I probably shouldn't have done that. So tack on not-thinking-things-through-before-you-say-them as another bad habit. Also, I mess around with my nose. Not as in actually picking it, but just... rubbing it and stuff. It's hard to describe. But it makes my nose feel weird and stuffy, so I probably shouldn't do it.
However, if anyone wants to play this and you're going to choose the original character, I would get the PS2 version if you can find it.
I have the FES PS2 version, actually, but... I barely got into it before getting discouraged. The boss I encountered last time was so darn hard. ._. Maybe after I've finished a couple other games I'll try picking it up again... Speaking of other games, I finally re-beat .hack//G.U. Reminisce and I have now moved on to the final game in the trilogy, Redemption! Just a few minutes ago I
beat Sakaki, and man is that Avatar battle annoying. One of the hardest in the games, imo.
Still, the game is pretty easy. I can make it difficult for myself if I want, and I know there are some harder moments coming up, but it's not really hard. At all. But it is fun, and that's what counts. I especially enjoy toying around with the desktop settings and making decks in Crimson VS.

I hate when that happens, chibi. :/ One time at a convention, I bought a boxset of Earth Girl Arjuna and once I got to the third disc nothing would work. I had gotten really into the show too. Luckily, I found a used copy of the third DVD on AnimeNation.com, so it ended happily at least. In other news, I have music from Tetris DS eternally stuck in my head. Good gosh.

The picture was actually taken on July 3rd, but -- minus the window tabs at the bottom and the time -- it hasn't changed since then. This almost feels like OB's "Ins and Outs of Dating" thread now...
If you wear glasses, get contacts (or even just some stunna shades ).
I have to disagree. Some girls really like glasses. Like me, I like glasses. Depends a bit on the style of the frames, but still.

Dost mine eyes deceive me? .hack has graced this thread and I haven't descended upon it like so many moths to a flame? Well I must remedy this posthaste! Yes, yes, it's quite obvious that I love .hack. To pieces, I love it. But when I say I love .hack, I'm talking about the entire franchise (minus the .hack//Legend of the Twilight anime), so I don't know if it's appropriate for me to go into it in this thread... Well, there is .hack//Roots. The people who have seen the show tend to hate on it for various reasons. One of the biggest complaints (although I've mostly heard this from a part of the .hack fandom) is that the music is bad, which I don't understand at all. Roots has great music; Ali Project really outdid themselves on the soundtracks. People like to hate 'cause their genius Yuki Kajiura didn't compose it. Whateva. The one complaint I can understand is that Roots isn't a standalone anime, that you have to play the G.U. games to get the full story. There's always the .hack//G.U. Trilogy movie to help supplement that, but... it doesn't quite capture the same feeling.
I want to but it is a little hard NOW to find the games, play the games (which I am pretty sure each one is like a rpg length (80-100 hours) for me anyways since I am a 100% whore.
Finding the games I can sympathize with, 'cause it really is hard to find them nowadays. But actually, the games aren't that long. Even when playing them your first time (which always takes longer) and going for 100%, they're not so bad. I'd average it around 20-40 hours per game, with more or less depending on how much you dick around. (And it's reeeeally easy to get 100% in the G.U. games, oh my gosh is it ever easy.) Also, what's important to note about the .hack series is that the games have always been the centerpiece. Therefore, the anime will never be able to tell the full story, because they aren't meant to be the full story. And I agree, that that's probably why the series will never be omg!popular. It's not unpopular, since the novels and manga keep comin' over here, but... yeah. Still not mainstream.

Anime Series you never thought you'd love but wound up loving anyway.

Gurren Lagann. No really. Well, it's not that the genre itself isn't my thing. I'm not in love with robots and omgwtfaction, but it doesn't turn me off either. However, the reason I didn't think I'd ever like Gurren Lagann was 'cause the first episode I saw was the hot springs one. Yeah, didn't exactly give me a good impression of the series. On top of that, Yoko; just... yeah, her. I thought her fanservice was so annoying that I'd never watch the show. Suffice to say, I was wrong. Horribly, delightfully wrong. Gurren Lagann is epic and I love it. I even like Yoko now. <3 -
will mix live action with CG animation and will follow a now-23-year-old Timmy
That... will be interesting to see them pull off. o_O

Don't worry, Gome, you'll always be our favorite tsundere. <3

Even though I can't say I never took advantage of OneManga's services, I think this is the right move. It's encouraging, at least. I mean, I don't think it will stop the scanlators or those that rely solely on scanlations. Heck no. But it's at least something. I myself have, well, a lot of manga that I'm currently reading. But once I heard the news about the U.S. and Japan gettin' the banhammer ready, I stopped taking on new series. Now all I hope to do is finish off some of these unlicensed manga and then start eventually buying some of my favorites.
why does the combination of chocolate and peanut butter make me overwhelmingly happy?
Because both chocolate and peanut butter are awesome. Therefore, they are awesome together. So tomorrow/today I have this Iaido thing (well, hopefully; it depends on what kind of stall/area we get, but otherwise it's on) and I'll probably be kinda nervous. It's sort of my first time demoing, so I hope I don't screw up.

Give her a break, she just lost her husband.

My gosh, CaNz, that is the cutest avatar and sig I've seen in awhile. Reminds me how much I used to secretly watch Hamtaro, too. Oh man.

I bought nerdities today, yaaaaaaay~ And none of it was .hack either! What a miracle! But seriously, it's days like this I realize that I truly am a nerd and that I really do enjoy being one.

I guess I don't have too many anime characters that I really hate. But man, there's one that popped into my mind that I have to rant about now. [sup]"Hello, I'm Allen Schezar from Escaflowne! You may also feel free to call me Douchey McAnnoyingPants, 'cause that's what I'll be by the end of the series!"[/sup] Yeeeah, Allen... thing is, I didn't start out hating him, oh no. He was fine in the beginning of the anime. I mean, he's voiced by Shinichiro Miki. I love that guy! It seemed destined I'd love Allen too. Ahahahaha--no. See, it's kind of hard for me to express this properly in words but... Allen gets really really annoying. Not in an obvious way, mind, but in an, "I'm still going to act cool even though I really lost all my cool points episodes ago." The drama that surrounds him throughout the show is just annoying, too. He drags down the whole series, in my opinion. And it's not like he had to, either! I think most of it is the crap that happens between him and Hitomi. It starts out innocently stupid enough on Hitomi's end, but it just degrades into even worse stupidity as the show goes on... [I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm a Van x Hitomi shipper.] So yes, Allen, kindly gtfo. I don't like you. I never will. Even if you do have a sexy voice. :I
The neighbors are having an obnoxiously loud party and I'm getting angry. There is no excuse for having music so loud that it shakes my windows.
I feel your pain. I too tend to have noisy neighbors and it drives me bonkers.
Lastly, Mushi-shi is headed into the home-stretch (I've watched up to ep.19). I really want the soundtrack to this series. I even look forward to the endings of each episode just so I hear what song they close out with.
inorite? Mushi-shi rocks my socks off. I'm so glad I own the whole series. I even bought the full version of the opening song the other day. Just, yeah. Major brownie points to you. lol Anywho, some things I've been reading over the past few days: .hack//Link - Got the first English volume of this in the mail the other day! I had such major hate for this manga before when I was following the scanlations, and there are still parts I hate (*coughpantyshotscough*) but it's better than I originally thought. Considering it's another alternate retelling manga -- and trust me, .hack has way too many of these -- the pacing is good, the art is nice, and the comedy is much appreciated. I look forward to volume 2. Watashi ni XX Shinasai ch 15 - All I will say is, "Holy crap, Shigure just keeps getting cuter! *3*" Faster than a Kiss ch 31 - Yay, the flashbacks are finally done! \(*v*)/ Kinda interesting, I guess? I dunno, it was nice to learn more about Ojiro's past sorta, but I'm glad it's over maybe.

Oh man, the MOTHER series. It's definitely on my Top Games I Really Want To Play But Can't list. Back in the SNES days, we never bought Earthbound. And nowadays, of course, it's near impossible to find. I don't think it's on the VC either. Then MOTHER 3 never did get localized, although I know there's a fan translation out there. Anyway! I actually have seen MOTHER 2 and 3 played before (thank you, chuggaaconroy!), so I know the general gist of the games. Pretty sad stuff all around. I mean, I guess Earthbound was more creepy than sad, although it had its moments too. But man, MOTHER 3... chapter 6 got me right in the heart. So sad. ;A;
