I love fall and winter for two reasons. 1) The cooler weather is very nice, and 2) my fashion sense is most applicable in those months. I'm kinda boned when it comes to having nice clothes for hot weather. >>

I finally freed the PS2 from my brother's closet! So now I've been taking a break from the hair-pulling [b]FFIV DS[/b] and I've been going through my replay of [b].hack//G.U. Reminisce[/b] again. It's been fun, I actually haven't played this game since it first came out three years ago. It's still way too easy, of course, but eh. I also started [b]Okami[/b], but I haven't left Kamiki village yet, so I still have a lot to go. But it's quite fun; the controls are very easy to use and quite fun at that. I'm looking forward to playing more... eventually. 8D;; And then next week my family is going camping. I think I'll bring my DS [i]just[/i] in case, so maybe [b]Glory of Heracles[/b] and [b]FFIV[/b] will get some play time again soon enough.

I am currently enrolled as a student at University of Washington, Seattle campus. I just recently graduated from Cascadia Community College, and then I got accepted into UW. Happy days! I don't know what the campus is like yet since I haven't done my Advising & Orientation session yet; have to send in a measles immunization form first. I'm working on that! Gotta get my records first though, which is proving to be a pain. I'm majoring in Japanese Language & Lit; at least I think that was the official name of it. Basically I want to be a translator. I figure I'm fairly good with the language and I enjoy doing it, so I'm going down that path right now. It's kind of scary at the same time though; a lot of the time I feel my language skills are insufficient. I mean, I'm supposed to make this a career someday, but then there's all these other people who are so much better than me. Sure, I get good grades, but that doesn't mean I'll be good enough to apply my knowledge in the field. My sister tells me I have to stop comparing myself to other people since I'm still learning, but it's hard not to have these thoughts at times. And heck no I'm not gonna live on campus. The school fees at UW will be fairly cheap considering it's a state school and I'm a resident. But, if you add housing costs to that, the price doubles. There's no effing way I'm doing that. I'll commute, even if it's an annoying commute. Because to be honest, it's not my money that'll be paying for the school fees, it's my parents'. I'm not going to burden them with more than I already have, especially since I live close enough to Seattle to commute anyway.

So I kinda got bored with [b]Glory of Heracles[/b] and instead have been playing [b]Final Fantasy IV[/b] for the DS. It sure is more fun, but... honestly, I was not expecting it to be this hard. o_O I mean seriously, this may be my first time playing the game for myself, but I've seen a playthrough of the original version before. I certainly don't remember it being this hard. I have been informed that the DS version is supposed to be harder (at least more so than its Advance counterpart). Even so... I mean, at least it makes pretty much every dungeon and boss memorable, but holy jeez.

Being able to make your own choices that actually effect the plot would be great. I think more games need to do that. I hope that's not just a rumor. ;~;

Feels really weird that I'll never be going back to my old college for classes. Like, ever again. It's kinda sad. ;~; I'm gonna miss my short little utili-kilt wearing English teacher.
