Methinks I need a new signature... Also, being able to slap your uncle on the arm over and over is pretty fun. And don't feel bad for him, he was slapping mine right back.

So I just got roped into playing Splinter Cell co-op play with older brother #1 for the past four hours (even putting off certain homework for this). Now mind, I've never played any of the games in that series, ever. Yet we were apparently playing on hard mode, and I actually managed to hold my own. I was even playing as a guy codenamed Kestrel, which I find hilarious as a .hack fan. But anyway, what should I get at the very end, after all that, but
the death of Kestrel! Killed by his own partner even!
WTFFFFFFF--*explodes*

I didn't realize that handhelds counted as consoles... Well, anywho, my family and I have been buyin' various consoles and handhelds since the SNES and Game Boy days. With that in mind, here's what we own right now: Consoles: SNES (doesn't work anymore :/) N64 Playstation PS2 GCN Xbox Wii Xbox 360 Handhelds: Game Boy (my brother owns it, not I; but it still counts) GBC GBA GBA SP (there is a difference, so I'm making it count) DS So uhh... yeah. :V Right now I'm using my DS and GCN the most, the former for obvious reasons (yay portability!) and the latter since I actually have it conveniently in my room. Not so much luck with the 360 and Wii, which are downstairs and which tend to get used by older brother #1 most of the time. I would be making use of the PS2 if my brother wasn't hiding it from me. I swear that's what he's doing, the little jerk. -_-

Dammit, Alla. I'm at school, I'm not allowed to laugh boisterously right now.
1. "Can You feel the love the tonight" Lion King version because its awesome that way.
Hahaaaa. I love you. :) Well, the only romantic song I can think of off the top of my head (that hasn't been listed already) is "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. Specifically, I'm thinking of the 2004 film, since that's the only version of Phantom that I've actually seen. Anywho, I can't help but think it's romantic and sweet. Helps that you get this whole emotional buildup from the movie itself. I've said before that I'd have that song play at my wedding, and I'd still say that now.

Boo, that's like taking YouTube comment ratings seriously. As in, you shouldn't. Ever.

That's what I was thinking too. lol I mean, it'll be cool but it'll probably take some getting used to at first. Plus, it's kinda funny seeing the sprites floating off the ground a bit. :animesmil

Funnily enough, my family watched Avatar tonight as well. 'Cept I didn't, since I was writing that thing about tsunamis for Geology class. I'll see Avatar someday. Maybe. Probably. When it's super convenient for me. Yeah.

Some friends and I discovered today in Japanese class that our sensei's father looks like Stephen Colbert. An older, tanner, more Asian Colbert, that is. But that's still damn funny.
Torterra was an awesome ankylosaurus with a continent on its back. doesn't get much cooler than that.
Oh yeah, Torterra is awesome. Easily my favorite out of the DPPt starters. I mean, gosh, using Wood Hammer with that powerhouse is amazing. And ffffff yes to the grass snake Tsutaaja. Makes me wonder what it's English name will end up being.
the Water Starter as Edokun.
lolol I wonder why? ;) Anyway, yaaaay we get to see the actual starters and not just the silhouettes! And big surprise, they're Grass, Fire, and Water types. I'm echoing earlier statements in that I'd like to see their evolution line next. I mean, based off their first forms, I'd probably go with the Grass (besides the fact that I always choose the Grass starter). I am loooovin' the trainer designs too. I mean, the girl's short shorts are... well, short. Oh well, she has boss hair, so I don't mind. And I liked Chimchar. Its final evolution, Infernape, is a freakin' awesome Pokemon.

Anime Poll: Anime/Manga That Could Use The North American Film Treatment
Nony replied to stararnold's topic in Otaku Central
I'm going with Lupin III for pretty much the same reasons Ace already mentioned. It'd be fairly easy to translate that kind of anime into a live-action movie and I think they could pull it off too. Also, I dare Hollywood to take on .hack//SIGN. I triple dog dare them. -
If you want, you can scan this for all the purty diagrams and such. But yeah, Washington is actually right by the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which basically means there's a higher chance for us to have a tsunami around here. Plus, there's a fault line right under Seattle. So if an earthquake were to happen anywhere at those two places, then there would only be a matter of minutes (or seconds) to prepare for the oncoming tsunami. Not to mention the various other places (further away) where a tsunami-causing earthquake (or landslide) could happen... Luckily I live further inland so I wouldn't be hit. But way up north where my aunt and grandma lives is apparently susceptible. :animedepr

Apparently I live under a rock, for I only recently found out about this news. In case you are also a rock dweller like me, here's a news link: Oil Spill Swells to 4 Million Gallons
At least 4 million gallons were believed to have leaked since an April 20 drilling rig blast killed 11. If the gusher continues unabated, it would surpass the Exxon Valdez disaster as the nation's worst spill by Father's Day.

The blowout aboard the rig, which was being leased by BP, was triggered by a bubble of methane gas that escaped from the well and shot up the drill column, expanding quickly as it burst through several seals and barriers before exploding, according to interviews with rig workers conducted during BP's initial, internal probe. The exact cause remains under investigation.

Oil - be it a surface sheen, globules or balls of tar - has washed up west of the Mississippi River and as far east as Dauphin Island, three miles off the Alabama mainland at the mouth of Mobile Bay.
Yeah, scary stuff. I heard there's, like, 200,000 gallons of oil leaking out per day. And the most permanent solution to the problem would take up to 90 days to complete, whereas this oil spill incident has already been happening for a couple to a few weeks now. This link has some interesting pictures showing off how far the damage has spread as well as a satellite picture of the spill. It's amazing how much damage this is doing. I can only hope they'll be able to get a band-aid on this booboo ASAP.

Researching tsunami risks in my area (for school, durp) is scaring the everloving crap outta me. I mean, dang, I did not even realize. :animedepr

I gotta say, I love my Maromi (Paranoia Agent) bag. It's great for school and it looks awesome. I bought it back in '07 for the sole purpose of carrying around college textbooks (as I was to be a freshman soon and needed such a bag). For some reason I stopped using it, but this quarter I had to dig it up again and man I forgot how much I love it. Here's a picture of it so you may realize its full awesomeness: [link] There's also the Maromi wristband/sports thing/whatever that I got at a Hot Topic a long time ago. Can't really show off a picture of that, but you can just imagine having Maromi on your wrist, staring at you and any one else in the vicinity, all day long. :)
10 Clean up Your Room Day
Like hell I'm cleaning my room tomorrow. Anyway, yeah, Mother's Day! We did some stuff for that already. Went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch and bought this big nice mousse cake. Plus, I bought Mom some Dove chocolates and the Best of SNL Will Ferrell vol. 2 DVD. :) Uhhh, I have no idea if we'll do anything else later. Dinner's canceled since Mom doesn't want to cook and we ate such a huge lunch... so yeah. The only other thing planned is the devouring of that yummbly mousse cake. P:

Silhouettes are such a tease. I wanna see the whole thing. Especially 'cause I can't help thinking how weird they look right now.

I'll be honest and say I've never had a boyfriend before (and I'm 21 now). Never been on a date, never been kissed, never held hands; none of that jazz. Do I feel left out? Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't (just a little bit), but at the same time I'm in no rush to get into a relationship. Basically, I'm with Alla on this one.

Hey, stuff happens. Lack of sleep don't help none. Which supports my argument that we need nap rooms in school. We used to get naps in kindergarten, so what the hell people.

ITT: really really ridiculously good looking people.

Take a look at this stud right here. Colin Mochrie. Heck yes. Hey, I can't help it, he's funny. Being a WLIIA fangirl all these years hasn't helped any. And then there's this guy: I have great taste in men, rite? lolol But yeah, Michael Caine is awesome. But seriously now, one more... I don't know why, but I find Brandon Flowers' beard look extremely handsome. I think it helps that I've been listening to a lot of The Killers' music lately. He's also way too cute in that Read My Mind music video. -
It's at times like this that I wish colleges had a nap room or something. 'Cause daaaamn. Also, I need to find more excuses to use some of these smileys, like this one:
