Saw 2 will come out in Octobre.. And they're currently shooting it now ^-^ Amanda will make a comeback, and of course Jigsaw, and we'll find out more about his past. One of my favourite saw moments is when The Doctor just shot Adam, and a while after it, has a little love scene with him, going: 'It's going to be allright..' (He just SHOT the guy!)

Hmm.. Never watched Jacob's ladder and Session 9, but the rest rings a bell ^^ I found May to be 'different' .. I wouldn't consider it horror, but as you said, it couldn't be put in another genre.. great movie though! The Shining was not as scary as I thought it'd be.. but still quite good. Se7en was also not really horror.. more psychological thriller indeed.. but it's also a great film (BTW, Eight, the sequal is coming up.. Too badI suspect it's gonna be crap) Someone mentioned Saw in this topic? Saw is my favourite movie of all times! I just love how it's all set up.. and the traps and all.. the plot is also really great. Anyone saw Dead End? Very funny, yet scary horror movie about a family in a car who make a wrong turn.. and end up being murdered one by one ^-^

You're so right! The puppet (he's named Billy btw ^^) was soo freaky!
That scene on the bike was really freaky!!
The story is just so creepy.. It could happen.. that's what makes it so scary.

I agree with you on the acting part.. I wasn't super great.. But despite the acting, the movie had me clinging to my seet the whole ride, and I'm not that easily tensed.

Saw. I've just seen this movie recently and I must say; Saw is one of the BEST horror, thriller movie's I've ever seen. Although it's a low budget movie, it's extremely well done, and the plot has to be one of the most interesting in horror history. The police are looking for some killer, named 'Jigsaw' Well.. Killer.. He let's his victims kill eachother or themself. His trademark are these 'games' where the victim's must do a really sick thing to keep living, or die in the process. His victim's are mostly people who are ungratefull to be alive.. Example
This one guy cuts his wrist.. for attention. Jigsaw doesn't like that, so he sets up this little trap. He places the man (naked) in a room with barbed wire, setting a timer attached to a door. The man must reach the door before the dimer stops and the door will close, leaving him in the dark room, trapped.. How much blood will you shed to stay alive?
Then, two men wake up chained in a filthy bathroom, with a death body in their middle. They're going to play a game... Anyone seen it? It's such an awesome movie!!

Yeah, It's kinda weird.. I thought it was something like this: You CAN download music for your own private use, but you CAN'T burn it and give/sell it to people, which basicly is that you can't spread the music, but you can upload songs and let other people download them? :animestun Anyway.. I think there's nothing wrong with downloading, if you still continue to buy regular CD's, and don't sell your burned CD's. Sharing/Downloading is my best way of getting into new music, if I like some songs I downloaded, I'll buy the album, that way it helps the industry too ^^ -Sanada

I just recentl y got into School Rumble. I found it to be quite amusing, but sometimes the jokes aren't my kind of humor.. Another good thing about this serie is that the voice acting is very good (IMHO) I just LOVE the seiyuu for Yakumo and Akira! Harima's seiyuu does a pretty good job too, and so does Tenma's, although I needed to 'warm up' to her voice at first. Anyway, Anyone knows how much episodes the show is scheduled for? I hope it's gonna be a 26 episode series, or shorter, definately not longer.. That'll kill the humor.

Really good! The subject is also very cool, and you described it in such a awesome way, I'm impressed!!

Cliché coming up: Society is becoming harder. But it's true.. I think people are also becoming more agressive, solving problems with their fists and not words. Arguments you have with friends can easily turn into a fight, when one says the wrong thing, or hears the wrong thing. Kids these days are packing weapons, just to feel 'safe' School isn't a safe place anymore, It's a place where you've got to blend in, go with the flow, just to advoid being hurt. In my country now (The Netherlands) there's currently an uproar about extreme muslims. I don't know if you've heard this, but a famous man in Holland, Theo Van Gogh, has been murdered. After that accident, more and more 'hate crimes' have been comitted. Burning Mosque's, beating up small children just because they are the kids from an muslim organisation (

Sagara Sousuke from Full Metal Panic would drive a Arm Slave ^^ But he wouldn't dare to violate the traffic rules XD Edit: I hit the reply button of the above post, therefore posting a quote. Was not meant that way.
ah..I wouldn't worry about the whole split up thing too much, they'll probably join back together when they realize they're not making enough money or something
Yeah, I think so too.. If their seperate project should fail, they're bound to get together again for the publicity. A few (not so great) groups have already done this. (i.e. Spice Girls, even if it was just one song ^^') -Sanada

Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament: Qualifiers *56K warning*
Sanada replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
Lucy/Nyu from Elfen Lied. Nyu is the cute, innocent , naive sweet girl, but Lucy on the other hand is the cold killer. (who turns out to be not quite that cold) Great character. Kagura from Azumanga Daioh, because she's always so energetic and happy, and because she resembles me a little. Puchiko AKA Petit Charat from DiGi Charat, because she doesn't say much, but when she opens her mouth, you'd not want to be the one she speaks about! Maybe not three of the hottest or cutest, but certainly three of the 'best' -
Which one would you get? Sony's PSP, or Nintendo DS? I'm not sure.. Nintendo DS sounds fun, but so does the PSP, which is more then an ordinary gaming device. I don't exactly know the features of both handhelds so I can't give much info about them ^^' I just want to know which you would choose.. -Sanada
I dont have much anime but the ones i've seen that was alot of gore to me was probly Ninja Scroll and Akira. But one question, Elfen Lied, is that a anime series or a movie? :animesmil
A bit offtopic, but Elfen Lied is a anime series of 13 Episodes ;)
-
Yeah ^^' You're right, I didn'tquite said it right. . Elfen Lied isn't about violence, there are dark, deep themes in the anime that no media dares to expose, but Elfen Lied does. Ofcourse that happens with voilence, but that's only to show how cruel some things can be. It what you said Dagger, even people who dislike blood & gore Anime, should consider this Anime, it's that good.
-
Guess my choice is Elfen Lied. There's really a high amount of gore and flying bodyparts. Although I don't quite like violent Anime, Elfen Lied was great.
it's not that anime is dying....it's just that either A)we get the short end of the stick, new anime comes out every week and Japan, the moment another series ends.Go to japan, you'll see several dozen anime in one day that you never knew exisisted till you saw it yourself B)American dubbers destroy perfectly good anime and make it child friendly, which then completly destroys the anime, because scenes are cut out,the script is edited, and the editing job they do is horrible in some areas(covering a naked character with a poorly drawn bathing suit or a bush?come on now) C)Voice actors in Japan show more feeling in the work they do,american dubber'd don't....
I don't quite agree with you on point C. American dubbers can put just as much feeling in their work, if not more in some cases, then Japanese dubbers. Also, There are Anime with crappy original vioce acting and a better American dub. -Sanada

Anime isn't dying... Last year (2004) was a great year for Anime, with superb titels as Elfen Lied and Midori No Hibi. Upcoming year is also very promising, with serie's like Basilisk, Koga Ninpo Cho and the Sanada Juyushi Special. On the other hand, dubbed, TV versions of Anime are awfull.. In some cases dubs are good, but in many cases there is censhorship and crappy voice acting... But that doesn't mean Anime is dying, is it?

This is a poem I wrote for my girlfriend, because were together for one year now: Fire Red Flame Your eyes, The touch of your skin, Your smile, The fire still burns. My heart, Full of love and, Burning desire, The fire still burns. Our kiss, The moments we shared, Holding hands, The fire still burns. This flame, Survived the rain, Time passed, But our fire still burns. I hope she'll like it :animeswea

Writing Druik the Deviant & The Demonic Sandwich [PG]
Sanada replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
I'd imagined them.. different.. but this is awesome too ^^ Anyway, Why isn't the next chapter posted? You're not gonna leave us in tension are you? :animedepr -
Summer Of '69 - Brain Adams/Bowling For Soup, A punk cover, faster then the original, alot faster.. Die, Die My Darling - The Misfits/Metallica, Usually, I prefer the Misfits over Metallica, but in this case, the cover is better then the original. Wannabe - Spice Girls/Zebrahead - Punk cover, plain fun ^^ Those are the ones I can think of right now.

There's no doubt about they being good, but they're not that awesome as everyone finds them, IMHO. I found Hybrid Theory the best album, from that point on, it's all downhill.
-
That may be true, but that means that your wrong the other half of the time. I mean, many people can be judges by appearance, but there are also people who are entirely different than how you judged them. I try my best not to place people in groups, but look at them as 'stand alone' persons, though it doesn't work all the time, cause I too judge many books by it's cover, I try to do my best. -Sanada

Why do you love it so much? Is it that interesting of a story? I've heard of it, but I'd never had the feeling I should get that manga. What's it all about?
