Well, if you're going for blood/violence...I'd definitely have to say watch Hellsing. It's about a vampire who works for an organization that kills vampires...yeah. Very Bloody, very tough language. I think its the best vampire anime...I personally like it a lot more than Blood+ and Trinity Blood.

Well, Excel Saga is kind of...wacky is the best word I can describe it with. Of course, its more or less a spoof of a lot of other anime genres. I'd suggest looking it up on wikipedia, since I have trouble describing it. Also, I have to agree with Japan_86 that GTO is a really good series. I only read the mangas, but I hear the anime is good too.

Well, I listen to The Otaku podcast whenever it comes out. Although I can see how it could annoy some people, the way they interact with each other is the exact same as me and my friends. So if this annoyed me, i would get as annoyed at my friends and I don't do that. I also tried to get into the WOW podcast, and anime-pulse, but pretty much fell off of them...I don't like very long podcasts.

Just a heads up, about mid September, A Dethklok CD will be coming out.

Alright, I've watched this movie a few times. The movie is funny, even alone, if you're in a theater with a good number of people in it. When it comes out on dvd, it'll be one to buy for sure, but you'll want friends or family to watch it with. Of course, i feel that way about all movies.

Hmm, so my main question is, which con was this?

I don't know about any of those that you mentioned, but when in doubt, Excel Saga is always a good choice.

Yeah, I'm really excited about the new movies...I don't know if i can wait for them. It's been my favorite Mech anime since i saw it...especially since i never liked any of the Gundams.

Anime Not Quite Your Favorite, But Still Great!
joshdude89 replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
1) Inuyasha: It used to be my favorite, but has been pushed back a lot lately by newer animes. 2)Initial D: One of my favorite series, but still only in the 3rd or so spot. 3)Excel Saga: Probably 2nd favorite, but definitely up there. -
Well, I saw "My Neighbor Totoro" when I was around 4 or 5 i guess. At the time I didn't realize it was any different from any other cartoon though. But I didn't really get into it until the television networks started showing pokemon and dragonball z, and stuff like that.

There are a couple I think are weird:Bo-Bobobo-bobo, FLCL(only weird the first time you see the episode), and I think One Piece is kind of weird.

On the thing about starting back at Ganon's tower after you beat the game or starting as a kid or something. I have beat the game a few times and I will sit through the "The End" scene for about 10 minutes and nothing will happen. Does it work on the N64 version

Even though I am a fan of Nintendo I am worried how the new controller will work with new Zelda Games and other games I think it will work a little strange. It makes me wonder if Nintendo will come out with a second controller that works more like normal controllers for certain games

I have all the systems and I have SCII for gamecube. I wish this new one was on all the systems again because my PS2 is broken and I am gonna wait to get a PS3 for my next new console

The problem is that the few people who actually talk about and show it off are mostly extremely nerdy and or annoying. Only a few who talk about it with non-fans don't come off as stupid or dorkish. And on that note "my bad"

really, even though I love the show They need to get the new episodes soon and put it back on Saturdays or I will have to quit watching it for awhile
-
my first manga was Inuyasha because I watched the show every day. But after I got started on those I started with Naruto, then my friend got me playing the Initial D game in the arcade and then he got me watching the T.V. show and now I am buying the manga for that

I don't think so. Because in regular Anime the art style is still different and most of the time the story is more complicated and makes you want to watch it more. Take Inuyasha for example, the first time my friends saw it they didn't think it was too good. But, after the second or third time, they were trying to watch every episode. So, I think the answer is no

No offense to anyone but I think that some adult Christians and Catholics are crazy. Even though I am Christian and most of my friends and neighbors are we all like anime, video games, and yes, Harry Potter. They also say the same things about video games. The Problem is that they didn't grow up with this stuff so they don't understand it. I say we have a march on Washington about how Anime, video games, and others are fine and they need to just live with the fact that we WILL READ, WATCH, and PLAY IT!!! :animeangr

The First system I will buy will be the PS3 because my PS2 is broke

I liike almost all of the shows on G4\ My favorites are: X-Play Attack of the Show Cinematech Cheat Filter Players Arena And I liked Video Game Vixens when it was on and I think there are a few more I like.

My favorite villains are: Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha, because of the way he fights and pretends he has no feelings even though he obviously does as you can see by the way he protects Rin. Naraku from Inuyasha, because of just how evil he is, he manipulates both demons and mortalsa and when he no longer has a use for them he kills them. Scar from Fullmetal Alchemist, even though you dont know a great deal about him, you know that hes doing all of the damage out of revenge.
