Discuss Shinigami Dance: Playground of Deities
SunfallE replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Theater
All right, I slept far more than I thought I would yesterday. XP So even though it's late I got that started. The theory being that the presence of the Shinigami triggered the trap since naturally the Count wouldn't leave getting to his personal chambers so open and easy. Or so my reasoning goes. If it had just been the little vampire girl she would have gone straight there, but since it wasn't... you all now get to have fun fighting the horde of monsters in that room. Once that's done we can move to the grand fight with the Count. -
Nathan moved from his position of leaning slightly against the wall, his hands neatly tucked into his pockets, his face wearing his usual grin of amusement. Within two steps towards the group his hands were back out at his sides and his expression though more serious still one of being amused at something only he knew of. "So we have a vampire here, interesting." Nathan's tone of voice seemed more amused than anything else and the slight glance he sent in Adrian's direction was ignored. Lucia chose to ignore it. "That's correct, it seems that she knows how to get into the Count's personal chambers." "Really? Well then lets get going." Nathan's stance became just a bit more serious. Neviril just looked at all the Shinigami surrounding her, intimidated by their presence. Was it really all right for her to let them in? It was her job to protect the count wasn't it? Why would he have granted her eternal life if it was wrong? "Neviril," Astera said as she flew over and sat on her shoulder. "It's okay, the Count doesn't understand why you must move on, don't you want to see your parents again? Don't you want him to be reunited with his own family too?" "I..." "Just open it or I'll do it for you." Adrian finally snapped at her. Ignoring Astera's reproachful look. She didn't respond but instead turned and while clenching her eyes tightly shut she reached up and touched the far wall. Red lettering spread from where her hand made contact and spread out until a doorway was revealed and then vanished, leaving a corridor leading further into the mansion. Without hesitation the Shinigami entered the corridor but before they had taken more than a few steps the path behind them vanished and they found themselves in a huge circular room, easily hundreds of feet in diameter. "Alex!" Nall cried out. "I know Nall. Just like before with the undead dragon." He called forth his scythe and took up a guarded stance. "I don't understand!" Neviril turned to try and leave but this time touching the wall had no result. "How did we end up here?" "What do you mean by here?" Nathan asked her calmly, ignoring Adrian's look of fury and Aeru's attempts to stand between everyone else and the little vampire. She looked down at the floor, "This is the Count's personal?" She choked and couldn't continue, but then she looked back up, ignoring the Shinigami. "Please Master! I didn't mean to! Please don't punish me!" Neviril collapsed and started to cry. Lucia was wondering what in the world was going on when she felt a stirring of power, all of them did, causing them to turn and watch as the same monsters they had faced in the mansion appeared. Curious, Lucia pulled out her Crystal Communicator and checked something, then grimly she snapped it shut and put it away. "This is no illusion this time. I would surmise that this is a combination punishment zone for vampires who displease the Count as well as a means to deal with any humans who would attempt to stop him as well." Lucia summoned her scythe. "We will not be able to leave this place until they are dealt with. Also, they feed upon each other, if we do not manage to purify all of them within a certain time frame they will continue to rise again and again." Adrian just chuckled, calling forth his twin scythes. "Fine by me." All of them, except for Nathan who was calmly watching what was before him, readied themselves to deal with the monsters that were gathering in the center of the room. He was too busy watching them as well as observing the room they were in. "I suggest you protect the vampire for the moment Aeru," Lucia commanded. "It is possible we will need her to progress once we've taken care of this." "Okay." Aeru said even as she moved to stand between Neviril and the monsters that had appeared, an undead dragon, easily over a dozen wraiths and a few other creatures as well. Adrian scowled but Lucia ignored it, keeping her attention on the monsters who were looking in their direction. Then after glancing briefly at Alex and nodding to him, she moved off to the left on her own to approach the monsters at a different location, while Alex moved to the right. There was no need to speak to Ruby, she would know what to do when the time came. Though she wondered what Nathan was doing since a brief glance showed him to still be deep in thought.

Anyway, I have no state of mind any more. I got rid of it a while back because it was cumbersome and interfered with my abject logic. I just basically decide who I am as I go, which is much more convenient. Mostly I'm Difficult. It's amusing, and makes people roll their eyes when they see my (user)name attached to anything.
Hahahaha! In other words you are a mystery to yourself and therefore can't see your own state of mind. :p
Oh and once again... I'm just poking you Allamorph! ^_~

Jesus Christ this thread is a quagmire of some people with crap just flowing out of their mouth. I swear to god if this is the pending electorate in America I hope they start conscription so that you all end up Iraq with lead rearranging your dim personalities and giving you a hint of interesting traits. God this thread gives me a headache.
I think it's their job to give everyone a headache. o_O At least I hope so!
Reading this thread makes me feel utterly normal actually.
Hehe, I think it has the same effect on me as well. XP But then DB has always seemed weird to me.
I'm just poking you by the way DB
Anyway, I'm pretty normal I guess. No anger issues, or rather I know how to deal with my anger instead of kicking a wall or other things. I like to think that I'm laid back and fun to be around and since many of my friends tell me that I'll assume that it's true. Oh and you could say I'm direct. No sitting on the sidelines when someone is messing things up. If something needs to be fixed it frustrates me when people just let it slide. Or they try to leave you responsible and mooch off of you in the process. I had one roommate who refused to pay for her share of the message service with our phone service, even though it was a mere two dollars a month. She had no problem with getting messages though since it was universal and not done by person, just by the phone number. When I moved in everyone else had been letting her get away with that kind of stuff all along and I basically told her that if she was too cheap to pay the two bucks then I would be deleting any and all messages for her. I remember how much it horrified the other girls, but she finally quit refusing to pay for the little expenses. Sure it was only two dollars, but that sort of thing really annoys me. It was just so petty on her part in my opinion. lol

I love Thanksgiving for the family get together of course. :catgirl: We always make lots of yummy food and then spend hours and hours just chatting, playing games or watching movies while we recover from eating so much good food. This year though I'll be doing other things as well, I'm looking forward to it since I'll be visiting someone else's family as well as attending a concert the next day. It's going to be a very busy and yet fun Thanksgiving this year. I'll probably only have food at one place though. I can't imagine having two dinners in the same day. XP In the past I've also gone to some of the sales with my sister, but that's more of a for fun deal than any really shopping. It's just relaxing to be out and not be in a hurry and watch everyone scurry like mad. Usually by now I have most of my shopping for the holiday's already done and this year is no exception. Other than a few things I'm already done.

Well I think we should poke Beth and make her post, that way she can get us going. Plus, she hasn't posted since we got started on this again. :p
Well if you don't mind waiting until this evening, that works. I kind of picked up a 24hr bug or something like that since I was sick yesterday. I'm better today, but I'm also quite tired so I plan on sleeping some more. Once I get that rest in I'll start working on a post. -

Oh...maybe you could booze it up. =D
I don't remember the exact name of what A_M's disability is but booze it up? That would be a sure way for her to kill herself. XP Anyway, when I'm sick enough that I can't go to work or do other things... I just get lazy and curl up in a blanket and either watch movies or play games. When I'm even more horribly sick, I just stay in bed and sleep. I'm kind of sick right now, but the worst of it is finally over, which is why I'm here, yesterday... All I did was sleep since I felt awful. And in a little bit, I'll probably go back to bed and sleep even more.

My understanding is that this group was charged for emotional damages for the pain they caused the family who was simply burying their son. The jury awarded $2.9 million in compensatory damages, $6 million in punitive damages for invasion of privacy and $2 million for emotional distress. They were not charged for violating any standing ban about how they could protest at the funeral. However the fight is now over whether or not having a law to restrict the manner in which protests are done is unconstitutional or not. Also, since when did a family's funeral become a public event? I've always understood that like one's home, funeral services for a family was considered a private matter. The law in Utah that Aaryanna was talking about ended up enacted due to issues with members from different gangs showing up at funerals to heckle people just for the fun of it. They didn't even know the person or family who had died, so the requirement to keep their distance was considered a reasonable limit as far as being at a funeral goes. We have similar laws about picketing the government, abortion clinics, the homes of those who work in such places. In each of those, so long as a reasonable distance is kept the protests are allowed, so I really do not see how having similar space for the families having a funeral would be unconstitutional.

Just a quick update: First of all the season for the US/UK has been decided. Also, inwardscream you're welcome to post at any time since your group was sent along with the transports to the former capital of the US. Blayze will post when they can since they are experiencing computer issues at the moment and BKstyles has also been gone for similar reasons. And that's on top of being locked out when the site was down. XP Anyway, hopefully everyone will be back on track this upcoming week. If there are any questions just let me know okay? I'll tweak any objectives if needed to get things going again. ^_~

You're all hopeless. lol Especially you Allamorph, hiding in the shadows of the pm system. Well attempting to but I don't accept that which is why I'm mentioning you here. :p You guys seem to have worked it out already so I guess that's all that matters. Personally I rather like that spat among the gods myself, the bit that Crystia did in her post when she neatly tied everything together. :catgirl: Also, considering your title Sandy, you should be loving this! The more drama the better! After all it wouldn't be a death card rpg if there wasn't some form of drama going on. lol

Unfortunately, i don't think there is a realistic solution to changing these peoples' minds or stopping them from protesting, unless of course this court case bankrupts them and leave's 'em so dirt poor they can't even afford the cardboard and markers to picket. And i don't wish that upon anybody, even these guys.
Sure there's a solution, it's called a straight jacket and a padded room. XP At least I wish their behavior was due to some form of insanity. It's so sick and sad that it's pathetic. Also, I'll echo the sentiment that it's about time they got clobbered for the nonsense they've been putting out. There's just no excuse for that kind of behavior in my opinion.

Alright... Now first off this is a repeat of this thread here: [thread=45377]Moderation[/thread] It's been a while since that though and it was before I became a member of the site so that makes it fair game in my mind. ^_^
Hehe, reading that thread just makes me laugh. It was started just before I joined and my one post in it cracks me up to no end. But then I was still driving at the time and sneaking online at truck stops when I had the time. Heh Still it's amazing how much is in there that at the time I had no clue what people were talking about, but now makes perfect sense. XP Anyway...
To Moderators and the rest of the staff: If you could drop your current post and have someone just as good as you take over, would you?
Well I really have no interest in dropping things at the moment. Like others have said, it wouldn't bother me if I was asked to give it up. But to be honest, I like doing it. Here at OB and over at theOtaku as well. :catgirl: I still find it ironic since it never occurred to me that I would be asked so that pm from Des was a total surprise. Though I understand that's the standard reaction. Personally, I think Des gets a kick out of essentially sneaking up behind an unsuspecting member and going POW! It's as if you wake up later only to realize that you've been turned into one of his personal slaves! :p Anyway, right now it's too much fun to quit, even with some of the more annoying things I deal with over at myOtaku. But then for every member who's a pain to deal with I have far more who are not. And I've made quite a few friends here, including some that I've finally gotten to meet in real life. In all honesty, it's hard to imagine not coming here since I enjoy it so much.

Halloween has always been a favorite if not my most favorite holiday of the year. My birthday is on the first so I grew up having Halloween themed birthday parties. So I always got a double and triple dose of the holiday since the month would start off with the birthday party and then there would be a school event where we'd have a haunted house and all sorts of activities. And then the third would be the actual day when my dad would take me and my siblings around trick or treating. We always had so much fun. It's always been a tradition to decorate and dress up though I don't always do that every year, though if it's possible I do. I love going to costume parties now that I'm older, or the scary movie deal since I love those too. This year I think is going to be extra fun since I'll be doing the movie deal with new friends I've made this year. I never worry over superstitions since I just don't believe in stuff like that. I have too much fun picking apart so-called scary movies. It's supremely fun to predict who will die first in horror films. lol

The best way to stop a meteor is to kill a pretty girl you know and hope that she carried the Holy Materia. Also, those options suck. Having sex with someone from the office?! What office? It's not like every person in the world works in an office. ;P
Oh I say we just sacrifice you Sandy, to the Gods or something. Sure it wouldn't work but hey, it's the last moments, people aren't going to be rational here. :p I have to agree about the sex option though. From the office? That would have been simpler if it just said, have sex and left out the condition of them being from the office. lol Anyway, I would just watch it fall, after all, it would be pretty cool looking. Until it killed me that is. XP

Well I'm sure all of you have noticed that the way this area works has changed. XP Probably most noticeably with the lack of ratings on the threads now. Its simple really, that system has been done away with since it was often confusing and the mature rating was tossed on things that didn't really need it. Now I'm sorry to sound redundant here, but even with the absence of those ratings... the content of this rpg will stay the same as what everyone signed up for. Which was the PG and not mature as far as violence, severe swearing or sexual content goes. If there is any confusion over this, just let me know. ^_^ But seriously, just carry on as if those ratings did not vanish. Because in a sense, they did not. It's just not tagged visibly anymore.

I think I'm going to start a new thread to talk about which series people would like to do this with
Sounds like a good idea to me, but then even though I was only there for part of it, I did enjoy it. And if I hadn't already made other plans for the day... I probably would have stuck around for more. ^_^ If anything it inspired me to finally finish watching Lucky Star. Oh did that Lucky Channel get completely and totally insane at the end! Hahahaha! I just laughed and laughed at how that turned out. I also like how they ended it since I was wondering just how they would. Personally, I think it suited the series perfectly with how they went about it. ^_^

Dumbest Insults & Names People Have Said to You
SunfallE replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion

This **** will make DB LOL into a coma. He's a fricken Kingdom Hearts DORK, and his signature. Christ he's hilarious. Look at his post in the Adventure square, timeless. No offense but god, hilarious!
This thread is suppose to be about dumbest insults and names people have said to you, not bashing other members. Prem, I expect the KH bashing or any other bashing to end as well. Lets get back to what this thread is suppose to be about here, which is NOT how you insult others. Especially when it's other members of the boards and especially when what games they like to play or custom titles they like to use is irrelevant. -

WHAT IS THIS MONSTER I HAVE CREATED?!
Haha! You haven't created one at all since I don't intend to follow up on it. :catgirl: Rach got the general gist of it down well enough. XP I suppose I will touch on this bit though, not singling anyone out but rather explaining why I don't consider being a virgin important, at least not for me. Now keep in mind I'm not picking on you per se but rather the view that one should hold out for marriage. ^_~
3. Are any conditions you consider that must be met for you to loose your virginity? Marriage. I don't believe in giving up your virginity until you're married. If you don't, then you don't. [I'm friends with virgins and non-virgins alike, so it's not like I'm gonna force that onto anyone]. But I personally find no point in it unless your love is proved to be concrete, and to me, that's proven by marriage. [Of course there's always divorce and arranged marriages...but those are entirely different matters]. I dunno, people talking about sex as if it's just pure recreation bugs me. I hold sex in high regard as the ultimate symbol of love. Maybe that's just me.
Now normally I'd probably agree with this, since I do not sleep with someone unless I care about them. But at the same time there's the issue of losing your virginity though no fault of your own. I'm sure you can guess what I'm referring to but I'll spell it out just the same. Rape. Now given what Rach just mentioned, as a Mormon girl, getting raped, even though I wasn't even quite eight years old, was still viewed as if I did something wrong somehow. And the sheer hell of being tormented over something that was not my fault since the adults refused to believe what happened... well it just makes the point of being a virgin useless to me. I can't wait for marriage, I can't wait for love. That first time was taken from me. So instead I grew up and decided that sex would be special because it would be with someone I cared about, not because of some of the more standard views going around. [primarily those Mormon ones] Including the, marriage aspect. It's the person that makes it special for me. And I'll leave it at that since I have other views as far as marriage goes and that would just open up the can of worms even further. :p Which is pointless really, everyone sees things differently and there's nothing wrong with that. ^_^

Ugh, every thread I create reminds me of the severe amount of regular people on Otakuboards :animesigh I should probably go check out 4chan...
Aww... You know we love you, right DB? :catgirl: Can't help being a regular person though. However, I guess that depends on what you consider regular. Like Aaryanna said, I get interesting looks when people find out I moderate for a place like this and theOtaku. So in their eyes I'm the one who isn't 'regular'
In an attempt to make this thread feel less...I guess you can say, menial, here's a burning question I'll pose that I believe is relevant: Why is it that, if a male [teen] loses his virginity, he's applauded and high fived by all his buddies, but if a female [teen] loses her virginity, more often than not, she's looked down upon and called "whorish" and "sluttish"? Maybe this exists only in media, but I've had friends the latter has happened to before.
Cause people are stupid? Seriously, I see it in the media and among the people I know. Women where I live are looked down on where the guys are not. I'm sure there's lots of reasons, though I'm not going to go into it. That will just get me started on aspects of Christianity that I do not agree with and derail the thread. XP

No worries. XP I think it's a given that we ended up delayed. Still hopefully this means that the worst is behind us: Worst Week EVER! But we're back! Seriously, if you're a member of theOtaku... Go and give Adam a pat on the back. :catgirl: Anyway, time for some fun now that OB is back. ^_~

Currently I'm playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS. I'm enjoying it since I really like the cel-shaded look from The Wind Waker so it's nice to have a game in that format again. I'm still getting use to only using the stylus instead of buttons to get around but it works pretty good and a lot of the puzzles and dungeons are geared to take advantage of the DS's capabilities, making it a fun game. The only thing I don't care for is how the sailing is done. But the rest of the game is turning out to be a lot of fun.
-

And the map imprint also took me a couple minutes to figure out but then when I did it made me smile and go, "duh!" The game really makes you pay attention to the DS's features.
That took me more than a few minutes. And when I finally did figure it out I was doing more than duh! lol But then it was so different than what I'm use to as far as games go. XP It certainly makes the game interesting though because it's changing how you do things or rather think in terms of solving a puzzle in order to move to the next phase. I still hate the sailing though. I liked it in The Wind Waker so it still feels like a cheat to me. Hopefully once I can get treasure that will change, but for now? :animesigh

*Is wondering if the twist is people getting death cards. :p* Not that I'm complaining, there are way to may souls left at the moment. Anyway... sorry that too so long. Also... Just delete my extra post. OB is being a royal pain in the butt with not updating to indicate that there's actually a new post in the thread, so I deleted it and reposted it so it would show up. :animesigh

"So slow." Bellanna pouted ever so slightly. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for the game to start going somewhere." "Then perhaps you should do something about it." Paraxis murmured, giving her a knowing look. "You're right, I should, since it seems that the others are waiting to see what the rest of us do first." She smiled a bit. "Too afraid to show their hand for fear that it would expose their strategy." Bellanna mock sighed. "Very well then, I'll get this going." She turned to the pool displaying the remaining souls. Cho Hee kept smiling her fake smile as she walked out to meet the two children in the center of the walkways of the room above the massive room below. Cho would rather not be near either one of the children but her upbringing of always being polite would not be denied. She came to a halt just short of the center of the upper room when to her surprise Kirima threw herself at her, hugging her tightly. "Cho! I'm so glad you're alright!" She looked up at her tears in her eyes. "I was so worried when you didn't come back. I thought that the bad man had gotten you." Confused at what she was saying as well as by the bruise marks on Kirima's neck, Cho looked over to Patrick for an explanation. What in the world is she talking about? "Later that night some stranger entered the home and attacked Kirima, nearly choking her to death. Ian managed to drive him away." Patrick explained. Cho felt tears well up in her eyes, even if she didn't like children, it didn't mean she was heartless. She looked back and Kirima who had let go and got down and kneeled in front of her. Feeling a bit guilty for her negative attitude towards children in general. I left her, what if the others hadn't been there to stop the man who attacked her? "I'm sorry Kirima, I should have let you know I was alright." Cho smiled at her. "Can you forgive me?" Kirima answered by virtue of hugging her ecstatically again before letting go and then taking Cho's hand in her own when she stood back up. "Patrick and I were looking for more writings like we saw in a temple on the mountain. I think we must be in one of the lands of the Gods, but I don't know which one." She looked up at Cho as they started to head towards a door that none of them had been through yet. Just then a loud and shrill sound started running though the place and the words on the walls changed, though none of them could read what it said, but it was obvious what it had to be as the lights started flashing as well. Somehow they had triggered an alarm. "We must have triggered the security." Cho surmised. "Security?" Patrick asked, confused as to what she meant. "What is a security?" Kirima just clung to Cho, "Does that mean there are bad people here too?" She burst into tears. "Why would bad people be allowed in a sacred place like this?" As if in answer to that question, panels along the walls opened up and small floating metal objects came out of the walls to head towards their position. Damn! Cho thought. There's no way we can fight something like that! "Get behind me," She ordered as she started to slowly back away towards the door they had been heading towards. But the caution was unnecessary as the round metal objects only fired at the platform where they were standing if they tried to go in a specific direction. So it's trying to herd us out of here. Cho thought. She didn't like it, but at the same time she wasn't going to object to it. If they were lucky it would force them back to a platform that was working so they could leave. "Just keep moving slowly towards the door, no sudden moves." She told the children. They were almost to the door when Kirima stumbled and fell, triggering a reaction as one of the floating security devices fired at her, hitting her in the right arm. Patrick moved to help Kirima when she cried out in pain from the electrical jolt only to be hit himself as one fired at his sudden movement, causing him to stumble and fall. "Stop it!" Cho cried out. "Can't you see that we're leaving?" But either the person controlling them did not understand her, or their programming did not recognize what she had just said. Cho slowly tried to move towards Kirima only to halt when one of them fired right in front of her, blocking her path towards Kirima who was slowly getting up. "Kirima! Whatever you do, move slowly!" But Kirima was too frightened, looking first at Cho then Patrick and then at the devices that were hovering not to far from her. "Kirima, look at me," Cho said firmly. "Move towards me slowly." Kirima started to move only to jump in fear when one of them made a mechanical sound and then fired at her again when her jump resulted in her taking a step away from Cho. This time the beam grazed her other arm and Kirima stumbled sideways only to be hit again. "No!" Cho screamed when Kirima misstepped and started to fall over the side of the walkway. She ignored the security as she desperately tried to reach her in time, enduring the painful jolts of electricity when they fired on her, but it was too late. With a scream Kirima fell to the floor in the room below them. "Oh my God." Cho looked away. She was just a child! Cho did nothing to stop the tears when she looked over to see Patrick's horrified expression. She continued to ignore the security as she got up and walked over to where Patrick was. But for the moment, they seemed to be more concerned with investigating Kirima's body which was lying on the floor down below. Cho reached down and offered her had to Patrick, pulling him up when he tentatively took it. "We have to go Patrick, before those things come back." "What about Kirima?" He asked tearfully. "I'm sorry Patrick, there's no way she could have lived through that kind of fall." Then instead of waiting for him to respond she pulled him towards the door and then through to the other room when they opened.
