For starters it's not meant to be an OtakuBoards fan fiction. It will look like one of course since on some level it is... However, it comes completely from an insane and wacky dream I had the other day. A dream that was so silly that I decided to do more with it. XP So I hope you keep that in mind when you read it. And for those of you who are part of Survivor I hope you at least get a kick out of it since I know when I woke up and realized what I had dreamed about I just laughed and laughed over it. Anyway, with that in mind I give you the first chapter. I hope you like it. Also, there will be more of course. This is only the beginning of the dream after all. Though it won't be too terribly long, about five to six chapters at the most I'm thinking. Anyway... Time to read yes? ^_~ [SIZE="6"][CENTER]Chapter One: Evicted! [/CENTER][/SIZE] The remaining Survivors were gathered in the Adventure Square, having been called together by Sandy. The Aces clearly cocky over their recent win against the Sunflowers, who though nervous were just as flamboyant in their intent to exact payback in the next challenge. But before that could happen Sandy would be announcing who was being evicted out of the game and back into the rest of OtakuBoards. ?[B]It doesn?t matter which one of us leaves,[/B]? Aaryanna was declaring. ?[B]The rest of the Sunflowers are gonna kick your butts![/B]? ?[B]Sweetie, don?t do that.[/B]? Aaryanna_Mom said with a slightly pained expression. But not before Aaryanna stuck her tongue out at BKstyles, the current Captain of the Aces, who merely winked back at her. ?[B]All right everyone, thank you for coming.[/B]? All eyes turned to face Sandy who along with indifference had entered the main Survivor thread. ?[B]I?ve come to a decision in regards to the current tie among the Sunflowers for evicting one of their players as well as the delay of the Aces in making the final choice.[/B]? He stopped and started tapping his foot impatiently. ?[B]In light of this problem as well as the constant violation of the rules about not harassing the judge I have decided to declare the last challenge void.[/B]? Immediately there was a cry of protest among the Aces that with a wave of her modrod, indifference silenced. ?[B]It?s simple,[/B]? Sandy said once order had been restored. ?[B]It?s clear to me that all of you need a swift kick in the butt, so with that in mind I?m evicting all of you back into the real world.[/B]? ?[B]You?ve got to be kidding![/B]? SunfallE protested. ?[B]Nothing that has happened here warrants a ban![/B]? She turned to indifference, ?[B]What the hell are you doing? How can you possibly agree with this?[/B]? ?[B]Shut up![/B]? Sandy snapped. ?[B]Let me finish explaining.[/B]? He waited for the others to calm back down as well. ?[B]You?re not being banned but evicted. That eviction is temporary and will only last until you are caught.[/B]? ?[B]You?d better have a good explanation Sandy,[/B]? BKstyles interrupted. ?[B]Just what the hell do you mean by caught?[/B]? ?[B]It?s simple, I?ve put a bounty on your heads.[/B]? Sandy smiled at the startled gasps among the players. ?[B]The goal of this challenge will be to be the last one caught. As of this moment, those of the real world believe that all of you are wanted criminals.[/B]? Sandy held up a hand to stay the next wave of protests from the players. ?[B]I?ve made sure that it?s for a live capture only and indifference will give you protection from being killed. But once she boots you into the real world it will be up to each of you to use your skills to evade capture.[/B]? ?[B]But?[/B]? Aaryanna_Mom started to protest. ?[B]Kathy,[/B]? Sandy said kindly, ?[B]Try to understand, I?ve been patient and pretty damn reasonable in spite of all the protests thrown my way. It?s time for everyone here to learn a lesson.[/B]? ?[B]Lesson? What are you talking about Sandy![/B]? White protested, ?[B]Some of us have duties here you know.[/B]? He turned to leave only to halt like the rest of them when indifference did something that froze all of them in place. Leaving all of them unable to move. ?[B]I?m aware of that White, and believe me, I?ve already made sure that other moderators will tend to your duties as well as the rest of you while you are gone.[/B]? Sandy sighed semi dramatically. ?[B]No more arguments! You?re been given a challenge and I expect you to do it! Whoever wins will have the privilege of selecting a member, regardless of which team they are on and evicting them from the game.[/B]? He turned to indifference who with a nod tossed everyone back into the real world. Ignoring their cries of protest. The nine Survivors, BKstyles, Ezekiel, Tiana, Shy, White, Aaryanna, Aaryanna_Mom, Rach and SunfallE found themselves in a huge mall staring at a screen displaying the information for their capture. Time stood still as they realized that hundreds of people were staring at them. Recognition slowly dawning on the faces of the people from the real world as they stared at the wanted criminals who had appeared before them. Whispers began to start?[I] Oh my God! It?s them! Someone call the police! How the hell did they get there? [/I] ?[B]Hell![/B]? SunfallE swore. A sentiment that was echoed among the rest of the Survivors as they stared at those who were around them.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[COLOR="goldenrod"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Kendra couldn't help but feel a tiny bit of fear over their assignment. She stared at the gate on the screen of her CCB, it looked so[I] innocent[/I]. If not for the strange language inscribed on it one would think it was nothing more than part of some building just waiting to be put into place, not a separate gate altogether. [I]What kind of civilization could have built this?[/I] But more importantly why had she heard nothing about it? If people were vanishing and yet no cry or news was known, that meant that the Creids government wasn't the ones using it but rather their military. [I]What were they up to?[/I] She was sure that the same thought was going through Marcus's mind. Kendra turned her attention back to the information for the checkpoints they would be required to stop at on their way to Telvaris. Most of it was pretty straight forward, not much to consider really. The last bit was unexplored and uninhabited, but seeing that the Creids were expanding that was to be expected. [I]Well at least it means there won't be a checkpoint in that area.[/I] Kendra fully intended to head immediately for the bridge to work with Bishop on plotting the course and then launching the [B]Argo Navis[/B] but she did not expect to get side tracked by Teresa. [I]Good grief! Doesn't she ever calm down?[/I] Not that she minded to much but as Teresa helped her gather her things from where she had set them down earlier and take them to the quarters they would be sharing, Kendra couldn't help but think that after a while others would find her annoying. [I]How in the world did she ever manage to get promoted to Captain?[/I] "[B]Uh Teresa, I really need to get to the bridge.[/B]" Teresa just laughed at her, something that within a moment or two, Kendra felt herself turn just a tiny bit red. [I]Dammit![/I] "[B]What's so funny [I]Captain[/I].[/B]" She finally asked, feeling anything but amused. "[B]Kendra, I'm going to be forward since that seems to work better than anything else.[/B]" Teresa smiled a bit and then continued. [B]"I've been watching the time, we still have more than enough for you and Bishop to do the calculations as well as launch the [B]Argo Navis[/B]. I promise. I of all people know better than to really interfere with operations.[/B]" "[B]Then why?[/B]" Kendra stopped. [I]I can't really ask her why she behaves so...[/I] "[B]Why was I promoted? Is that what you were going to ask?[/B]" Kendra felt herself turn a tiny bit red again, embarrassed. Since that was exactly what she had been thinking. Wondering how someone who was seemed so frivolous got promoted to Captain. [I]Great, now I've probably insulted her.[/I] Teresa laughed at her expression before handing her the CCB that Kendra had set on her bed. She took her left arm like she had before, steering her out of the tiny quarters as if they had known each other for years instead of only having just met. "[B]Kendra,[/B]" Teresa said, going so serious that Kendra gave her an odd look. "[B]I know perfectly well that my promotion was a more of a coincidence than earning it through hard work, just as I know that we are suppose to be downplaying the military side of this assignment.[/B]" She let go of her arm. "[B]When the time comes, I assure you I can and will do my duty. Now I don't know about you but I'm excited to get going.[/B]" Kendra just gave her a thoughtful look before continuing to the bridge with her. If anything, it was becoming obvious that there was more to her than what she had thought initially. [I]Now if only the same would be true with Dr. Nakeisha Rhodes. [/I] She thought. Dealing with a know it all mechanic who didn't appreciate equipment just because it wasn't the latest thing... [I]Pfft! Living in the stone age? I think not![/I][/FONT][/COLOR]

People are not going to agree with you and no amount of saying otherwise is going to change it. Just as I've talked to you about not continuing the same argument over and over. It is not necessary to keep rehashing why others are wrong nor is it necessary for anyone else to keep coming back and pointing out why you could be wrong. In other words... Enough with the subtle insults going on here and derailing the thread by continuing the argument over generalizations. So please start respecting that others don't see it the same, it's not that hard really. On some level Prem believes people who use drugs are losers and you TherapySessions don't agree. Accept it and move on. It is not necessary for either one of you to keep coming back and saying... your wrong and I'm right. It's silly and pointless at this point. [COLOR="goldenrod"]Now that the executions had been carried out Stevens, Dakar, Zach and James were going over what to do next. Gathered together on the Conqueror in the main observation room just off the bridge instead of using standard communications. Each one sitting down facing one another as they reviewed the information on the investigation so far. As well as going over what had happened on the team working on hacking into the Council systems. "[B]Let me get this straight,[/B]" Dakar was saying. "[B]Jason attacked one of the other researchers and you intend to do nothing about it?[/B]" James just snorted, "[B]Come on Dakar, even if he attacked them those fools have been beyond disrespectful since I put those two on the team. Frankly I'm surprised that nothing happened sooner. After all, he's suppose to be from the[I] inferior[/I] race after all.[/B]" James laughed contemptuously. "[B]It's rather ironic in my opinion, that other than Matt, the other researchers were far less civilized than those two were and there was no excuse for what he said to Jason.[/B]" "[B]Gentlemen,[/B]" Stevens interrupted. "[B]This isn't why we are here. Besides with the upcoming changes in regards to the lesser races and families, such outbursts towards the lesser races will no longer be tolerated.[/B]" Dakar started to object but Stevens cut him off again. "[B]I mean it Dakar,[/B]" He said with irritation. "[B]Commander Crystal was right, our own stupidity in how we've allowed them to be treated all these years is part of what caused the shortage in the first place. And no matter how you look at it Celestia is extremely smart, so claiming they are inferior is pointless. If the rest of you can't see that given time they would match us in intelligence and power... You're idiots.[/B]" "[B]I hardly think that was necessary Stevens.[/B]" Dakar said coldly. "[B]However, you are correct, we need to finish investigating the rest of the High Council. We've maintained control for now, but once news of what happened in sector fourteen spreads that could change.[/B]" Stevens just smiled as they continued with the meeting. Once he was done he had something else to take care of. And though he did pay attention as they worked out the details of finishing up he couldn't help but think about what he was going to say to Erica. Once they were done he was planning on talking to her. [I]I just bet she knows why Elite Specialist Kuro Talmresec would have done what he did in sector fourteen. [/I] And when the meeting came to a close, he excused himself to head for her cell immediately. [CENTER]------------------------------[/CENTER] Celestia was just waiting for the axe to fall. If Dakar had tortured both of them over her simple argument from before, there was no telling what would happen as a result of Jason actually attacking one of the researchers. The fact that other than Matt the others had ganged up on Jason and would have beat him senseless if James had not interfered wouldn't matter. [I] It's not fair![/I] She thought, trying to not cry as she attempted to focus on their work. James had seperated them once again and she along with Jason and Matt were working in a lab by themselves.[I] Gods it's not fair![/I] She looked over at Jason who was also grim. He knew just as well what was going to happen. And Celestia figured it was only a matter of time. Before Dakar disciplined them yet again. Finally she couldn't stand it and Celestia started sobbing silently and then some more when Jason stopped what he was doing to hold her. "[B]I'm sorry Jason.[/B]" "[B]I'm not.[/B]" Jason said firmly. "[B]I don't care how superior they think they are, they had no right to say such things.[/B]" "[B]I don't understand,[/B]" Matt asked, clearly uncomfortable as they turned to face him. "[B]Why are you upset? You have nothing to be sorry for.[/B]" All three turned to face the door when it opened to admit James.[I] Hell! [/I]Jason thought,[I] I'm the one who started the fight![/I] He let go of Celestia and stood between her and James. "[B]Please sir,[/B]" Jason said. "[B]Celestia had nothing to do with that fight. It was my fault and my fault alone.[/B]" James just looked slightly surprised. "[B]You misunderstand Jason, if anyone is going to be disciplined it's that fool who's been insulting both of you as well as enticing the others to fight. I have no intention of discipling either one of you. However, in the future I expect you to report such comments to me instead of taking matters into your own hands.[/B]" "[B]Yes sir.[/B]" Jason replied. Too surprised to say much of anything. "[B]Anyway, that's not why I'm here, I have a new assignment for you."[/B] James motioned to them to take a seat and once they had he started explaining how he wanted them to work on rewriting the deletion program used to protect the data. To turn it into a type of virus that could be launched to specifically take out the program when they used the other one to access the remaining data vaults.[/COLOR]

[COLOR="goldenrod"]Bad days, I've certainly had plenty of them and I still do. Naturally there are some that stick out more than others, getting raped obviously was one, just as the day I found out my brother had died was as well. And all the other stuff I dealt with when I was a kid/teenager/young adult. Up until I attempted to kill myself. I lost count of the bad and rotten days that I had in that time frame. But to be fair, in spite of the negative slant put on people who want to die, that moved me into having more normal bad days instead of catastrophic ones that were beyond painful. I'm still here and I've no desire to ever try doing myself in again. It's just not going to happen since I like living. ^_~ And by no means does that make someone else's bad day seem like nothing. Far from it. Depending on where you are and what's happened in your life, those bad days are every bit as annoying and frustrating as ones that seem more dramatic and painful. Even if they are. I know breaking up from a relationship would suck, getting attacked by a dog, beaten up as well as all the other things mentioned here would really annoy me. But out of everything, probably the one that would get me the most out of sheer annoyance factor would be falling into icy water. Brrr! I hate being cold! lol [/COLOR]

And so on. lol I think its safe to say that making assumptions doesn't get one anywhere, and yet at the same time, remember, plenty of people have destroyed their lives, have done drugs because their lives were a mess. So there is some truth to that generalization whether people want to see it or not. If there wasn't any problems and people didn't do all those things there wouldn't be any push to keep them off the streets or to help people get over that addiction. And no offense, but I'm not likely to take your word for it that people who use drugs are mostly normal, since that too is an assumption. Something drives them to do it, whether it's peer pressure, stress or other stuff. Something that isn't necessarily normal. [/COLOR][/FONT]

[B]Eccentricities[/B]: When she is not required to work, she likes to travel around the world visiting sites to see how they have changed. Her only emotion that will show up from time to time is irritation over careless destruction of the world. Destruction that is done in the name of profit. She finds visiting such places somehow soothing and it annoys her to find things that have changed since her last visit. Other than natural change, that she is fine with. [B]Familiar[/B]: Ruby, female, dragon. Ruby is also a dragon like Nall. When she's not in her smaller catlike form that is. If not for her pink appearance people would think she was just a flying cat. Unlike Nall who takes himself too seriously, Ruby is frivolous and outrageous. She's the exact opposite of her mistress Lucia. Her favorite pastime is twitting Nall over his given nickname, especially since like Nall her appearance is used in the sequel of the Lunar game he was used in. And unlike Nall she finds it flattering that a stupid human acutally remembered what she was like well enough to model a character after her. So much that she adopted the name Ruby from the game and insists on being called by that name instead of her true name. [FONT="Comic Sans MS"][COLOR="goldenrod"]You know, putting aside the fact that a lot of illegal drugs are bad for you, which is worse I wonder. Making a mistake and admitting it and moving on? Or never making one and assuming you're better than someone because of it? No one is perfect and honestly to go around labeling others as 'losers' for being human is beyond lame. I won't argue that for some it has destroyed their live as well as negatively hurt others around them, but there is a lot of substance use out there that even if I would never do it, has little to no effect on anyone else. I have friends who do pot, drink and other stuff. And out of all of them only a few have let it ruin their lives. The rest never became addicted to it. Aside from occasionally getting drunk on the weekends. And even then they are responsible enough to take turns being a designated driver. Though usually that ends up being me since I don't drink. lol Seriously though, avoiding drugs, in my opinion, should be more about caring about your own health, not a measuring device for comparing yourself to someone else. So yeah, they can be bad, but making stupid assumptions about others is worse.[/COLOR][/FONT]

About the only difference Rach is unlike you I can sing. :p I've always loved it, choir and taking voice lessons was one of my pastimes when I was in college. XP And my dad [[SIZE="1"]they're divorced by the way[/SIZE]] could care less. Those two would argue over what we watched as kids. And unless it was explicit my dad was never phased by innuendo. So we learned real quick to ask dad if we could watch something and not mom. lol But what makes me laugh is this is back in the seventies early eighties, when most of the anime being shown was butchered to death and my mom still disapproved! And today... you'd think it's the end of morals in the US that such things are sold in the stores. But my dad... he could care less about series but he can and does pick up the DVD of different movies like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. As for myself, obviously since I'm an adult I have no problems watching whatever I want, though I don't really care for the stuff that really is explicit. I don't even care for fan service all that much, because most of the time it's overdone and I find that a tiny bit annoying. Like when I started watching Zero no Tsukaima, I was glad that the show started going somewhere instead of relying on it. Oh and by the way... [COLOR="goldenrod"]Well I have to admit that I'm surprised I actually like this. Usually romantic comedies do not appeal to me at all. But now that I've watched the first four episodes I'm really enjoying it. Especially now that Haruka has shown up. The arguments between him and Otani are just too funny. This whole series is just cute and whimsical, and fun to watch. I love all of Risa's expressions depending how how she's feeling, especially since they tend to drag them out a lot in the show, making them so comical. And that last bit in the fourth episode where Otani [spoiler]got kissed by the new student [/spoiler] was perfect for setting the mood of Risa to finally starting to admit that she does [spoiler] care for Otani. [/spoiler] I certainly hope it continues to be fun to watch. I've outright laughed at some of the silly stuff in this show. :catgirl:[/COLOR]

I understand that the purpose of your poll is to see if people think it's okay to change how they look, but at the same time on some level, if they wish too, why is it a problem? There's nothing fake about doing things to change how you look. We do it every single day. ^_~ Now admittedly cosmetic surgery is more extreme, but the principal is the same. And if anything, I'd be more annoyed with social factors that make people feel like they have to change to fit in. Not over the actual procedure. Also, would I do it? I already have. I had moles on my face, several of them along the hair line. I positively hated them. One because of how they looked and two because any time I was in a hurry and simply ran a comb through my hair real quick, I would forget about them and they'd catch painfully on the silly comb. So I finally had them removed. They didn't really change how I look since their positioning didn't exactly make them very visible, but I sure as heck like being able to comb my hair without having to worry over them. I don't miss them one little bit. I even paid for it since my insurance would not cover what it considered to be 'cosmetic surgery' Would I do it again? Probably, I like many other females, am full figured. And I don't care what guys think. It gets old having my chest stared at. So if I did, I'd have that reduced a little, it would certainly be more comfortable as well. Something that any other woman in my position would understand. Being full figured is overrated by a long shot. [/COLOR]
