*evil laughter* I'll be the first to get things going. I even made a special card to match. :p Name: Plater Killer Card Effect: This card is actually to be played in the Panopticon Underground thread. the poster must choose one other player and the CCC will select one of their characters and kill them without costing the poster a death card. My card has been played. *bows*

Celestia wished that she and Jason had been placed with Nat from the beginning. He was a far cry from working with Jethra. If it wasn't for the situation of being a prisoner she would have enjoyed working with him. In many ways he reminded her of Nathan, Daniel's father. Kind, patient and easy to get along with. About the only difference was that he was much younger. Still in the end, in spite of all that she still didn't understand how so many Versilans had no trouble at all with enslaving other races. Even here, regardless of being with Jason, regardless of being in quarters instead of a cell. They were still being forced to work as well as enduring being interrogated. Since Dakar was not finished getting every detail that he could about their time spent with the Resistance. Celestia only hoped that what little she knew would be useless. Celestia sighed as she often did, curling up on the sofa in their quarters, staring off into space. They weren't allowed access to anything in their room, not even basic news updates. I wonder what Daniel and Sara are up to? "What's on your mind?" Jason said as he sat down next to Celestia. Without a word she sat up and then leaned into him getting comfortable as he placed his right arm across her shoulders. She placed her head on his shoulder and then after another sigh she spoke. "I was wondering how Daniel and Sara are. I'm sure that by now they've left Earth." Celestia turned her head just enough to look up at Jason. "Don't you worry that we'll never see them again?" Jason looked away uncomfortably. "I worry more about them being caught than whether or not I'll see them again. I don't want what happened to Kim to happen to Daniel as well." Celestia could help it, she just cried silently, tears running down her face. "I know." She said brokenly, "It's just that the thought of being stuck here for the rest of my life and never seeing them or knowing what happens to them hurts. Just as knowing that since we were modified by Crystal when we were first caught we'll be stuck here for over two hundred years." Jason had no answer for that. Gently he brushed her tears away and kissed her on the forehead before pulling her close and holding her tightly. "A lot can happen in two hundred years." He finally said. "And I'm sure that Daniel, William and Sara would never give up on us so lets not give up on them okay?" Celestia took a deep breath and sighed again. "I know. It still hurts though." Again Jason had no answer, but then he had the same fear as she did as well as the one of them being separated. He did not trust the High Council at all. Even if they were responsible for keeping them together, they were also the ones responsible for taking over Earth as well as forcing them to come here. In the end they would do what ever they wanted regardless of what it did to him or anyone else. Jason did the only thing he could. He continued to hold Celestia tightly. ------------------------------------- Things were going just as she had planned. Erica had little time left though it would be enough. She suppressed a wave of coughing, determined to finish one last little detail. It wasn't that hard, the orders had already been issued. They were only waiting on the go ahead from her. She logged into her personal network and sent the command out. Then once she was done she logged back out. Bending over as she failed to suppress the coughing this time. Covering her mouth with her hands. Erica was not surprised to see blood when she finally finished and pulled her hands away to look at them. "My lady!" A voice said from behind her. Erica turned to see her assistant who had entered her bedroom. "It's nothing." She said even as she got up and went to clean up in the bathroom, ignoring her assistant who fussed over her. "You need to rest and stop pushing yourself." He said sternly. Erica laughed. "I'll be resting soon enough." She pushed past him and back into the main room, heading for the balcony. "However, since I am done for today, if you'd fix me something soothing for my throat I'd like it if you brought it out to me on the balcony." "At once," he said with a bow before leaving. Erica went out and gazed at the view for a bit before situating herself in one of the lounging chairs. Smiling a bit to herself. She had gotten more done than she had expected. There was always more, but William would see to that. Of that she had no doubt.

My apologies if my concern was taken the wrong way, I just wanted to make sure that we do not become reliant on these reviews as primary source since it would cut down on the options for the OB writers to write.
No worries there, I understood what you were getting at. And I would prefer if we have reviews written by members. At least for the review part. But for the beyond OB section, theO is a good source since Panda does write great reviews. ^_~ Oh and yes, it is the same person. I say we whack indifference for not being more clear. Or Rachmaninoff for getting the wrong idea. :p

*Bows* I see that my great strategy has paid off. I knew that killing a kid would get under some people's skin... Hahaha, I love it!
What will be fun is when we see just who the character belonged to. It's been fun doing things to see if others take the bait. ^_~ I know I've set up kills and you all have followed through brilliantly. Only time will tell just who was the sneakiest at this game. Or luckiest. lol Oh and did I mention that any character that DB likes needs to die? Mwahahahaha! EDIT: I fixed the list since I'm not lazy! *thibbit*

Does anyone know how to make their profiles look like the ones on Inuyasha311 or Demon Dragon's profile? It bugs me to no end! :flush:
Has it ever occurred to you to simply ask them directly? Also, when asking for help, it is usually a good idea to provide links since it just makes it easier for people, whether they are a member of myOtaku or not, since a quick glance will tell them if they even know how to do what you want. After all it's not that hard to look at the page's source code since membership isn't required for that. lol Anyway, since that seems to be something you are unwilling to do I'll help you out here: http://www.myotaku.com/users/inuyasha311 http://www.myotaku.com/users/demon_dragon That took all of two seconds to get you know. ^_~ Also, indifference is right, I could easily write up the code for how she's done her page. Whether I was a member of myOtaku or not. Anyway, best of luck since I've never done a set up like the two pages you mentioned. I've never cared for them since they tend to have issues once you get off your main page. Resulting in your archives being a total mess. Or keeping others from even being able to access them. It didn't take long for Julian to catch the other two who had gone in a different direction. Nor did he have to warn them of the danger as he saw the two remaining girls dodge one of the lethal blades. "Run!" He screamed at them, not knowing where they should even run to in the huge seemingly endless field. "Where's the other girl?" Mary cried as Julian reached her and Nadia. "She's dead, now come on! We have to get out of here!" Julian said urgently, grabbing Mary's hand and running since Nadia had already taken off. How did I get here? Delita wondered even as she ran awkwardly, still not accustomed to the strange body she had found herself in. She paid little attention to the others she had found herself with. More concerned by being in a body that did not respond in a manner she was use to. Concentrate! She told herself. Figuring out what happened won't do me any good if I'm dead! A thought that was reinforced by a surface cut to her left arm when she failed to completely dodge another one of the spinning lethal blades. "Nadia!" Mary screamed from her vantage point of being just behind her. "I'm fine!" Delita yelled back. "Don't stop! There has to be a way out!" But even as she said it, she could see nothing but more of the endless field they had found themselves in. Onward the group ran, Delita in Nadia's body a bit ahead of Julian who still had Mary's hand in his. But in spite of managing to dodge the blades, they still had not found a way out. Then Mary let out a startled shriek when her foot caught on a rock, sending her and Julian into a tumble of arms and legs. Coming to a rest with Julian partially on top of Mary. It was a move that saved both their lives as another one of the blades sliced horizontally though the air where they had just been standing. Delita was not so lucky, the blade that had missed both Julian and Mary sliced her in half from behind, the two halves of her body instantly falling apart as blood sprayed everywhere. The pieces falling to the ground with a sickening thud. Julian tried to drag Mary up who was screaming in fear only to give out a cry of his own when the ground opened up underneath them and they then fell into darkness. A moment later he landed in some water, the impact stunning him momentarily as he started sinking below the surface. With a jerk he snapped out of it and desperately he swam back to the surface, dragging Mary with him as part of her clothing had become tangled with his. Julian could see that Mary was semi-conscious but breathing. Taking care to keep her head out of the water he swam to the shore of the underground cave they had landed in. Fearfully he looked around for the blades, but where ever they had fallen too seemed to be free of them. With a sigh of relief he untangled the part of Mary's petticoat that had gotten stuck to part of the gun he had tucked into his makeshift belt. Then he carefully moved her so she was completely free of the water. With another sigh of relief he laid down next to her on his back exhasted, taking deep breaths to calm himself while he waited for Mary to recover.
>_< [strike]you guys suck[/strike']. Anywho, I'm gunna go free Al now, so please don't post in the meantime. I'd hate for that confusion again, heh...
*bows* You're most welcome oh fearless game creator! Besides, I'm not kidding, I hate characters that kill kids. It's like a pet peeve of mine when I'm reading. Any character or villain like that needs to die. So in a way you can see it as Darren's fault since he's the one who posted indicating she killed a child. :p EDIT: In that case DB you should be glad that Rachmaninoff wrote her death, what I had in mind wasn't anywhere near as 'peaceful' as what he did. I intended to make her suffer before she finally died.

Too bad. :p I think I made it clear that I disliked Meredith, just as you and Darren disliked Katar. She may not have been a pervert or a rapist like Katar, but she was still a killer. I've wanted her dead ever since that post where Darren had her remembering the time when she killed a kid. Trust me, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Mwahahahaha! I love it! :catgirl: Out of all the people you could kill you picked the one I was going to kill off. XD Now I'm going to have to decide which other character I like the least. Hehe, it's going to be hard since Meredith was on the top of my list and the others I'm more iffy since I wasn't really planning on killing them this round. Rest assured, I can and will though. Provided Allamorph or BKstyles don't beat me to them like Rachmaninoff did. Hehe.

Otakupedia Entries/Suggestions/Discussion thread
SunfallE replied to Charles's topic in General Discussion
Just to add on to The Dog entry since it would be incomplete without this tidbit: Aaryanna's owner Bethany has also used, and still does, her name and pictures of her for her myOtaku account as well as for entering contests hosted by www.theOtaku.com. Aaryanna even won an honorable mention in the Samurai 7 Contest, A shameless "take a picture of yourself browsing theOtaku" contest. Samurai 7 Contest Where as you can see, Aaryanna is looking at her very own myOtaku page. -

1. How are you feeling right now? 2. What's going on in your life right now? what's 'driving you' I might say.
A little tired, I'm recovering from a sinus infection. Not much actually. Just work and the normal day to day stuff. Right now there isn't a lot going on in my life. At least nothing that has me feeling stressed or like I'm in a hurry to finish things. I'm just looking forward to doing all sorts of things with my friends during the summer. And I might sign up for some craft classes since I love doing that kind of stuff. Oh and by the way indifference, if you need help with the keying of a certain car. I can always come and help you out with that, literally.

Well that worked out surprisingly well. I was worried that to remove both Soliel and Hells would involve removing a lot of characters, but since each one of them only had one left it's no different than if they used their death cards. It's too bad you had to do it though, it would have been more fun the other way. Not that I mind since I want this to get going again. If only to see what wacky ideas you have up your sleeves DB. Anyway, I'll be back later or tomorrow with my post where I kill someone off.

I am still waiting for the go-ahead on posting. I don't want to over load the second round, but where in God's name is Soliel and Hells??? Didn't DB say something about them having until Friday to post??? I don't even care what the final card is; I just want to get this thing moving again... Can't we just get rid of them? (I know that sounds harsh, but seriously, we've been waiting a week and they haven't even used their special cards yet, let alone posted at all) Errrggghhh! *Walks away while screaming and cursing savagely*
I was thinking the same thing, wondering where they are since Soliel hasn't been online since the 23rd and Hells since the 29th. And both of them have yet to even post in this round. It's part of why I've been hesitating about using my death card since I wanted to see what the other card was first. But now I'm ready to move on since this has been too much fun to stop now. It's not like Allamorph who lurks. *pokes* Besides it's not like he can post since his is the last one so he's stuck waiting on the rest of us to get going. So I know he was planning on posting yesterday morning, but he can't. :animesigh And speaking of you Allamorph, I like how you had the part in your last post that was like some program was running. It reminded me of my programming classes I took. lol One other thing...*pokes BKstyles* You ever going to free poor Alcuin? LOL! ;P

Oh where to begin...Since I was a complete and total tomboy as a kid, even getting into my first fight before my first birthday. Or so my mom tells me. lol Still considering all the trouble I got into as a kid, I believe her. Anyway...I'll skip the first fight since I don't remember it, after all I wasn't even one years old yet, but the thing that did embarrass me was when I clobbered my second grade teacher. She was not a nice teacher and since this was before all the silly nonsense of calling cops and arresting kids and teachers for touching someone, she was known for taking your toys you brought to play with during recess as well as pulling your hair to discipline you. I could handle the toys bit but the hair pulling? I'm tender headed or whatever it is you call it and pulling my hair, even just to brush it hurts. It still does. So after a couple of times I decided to get revenge on my teacher for it. Since the adults didn't believe that a troublemaker like myself was telling the truth. So the first thing I did was wait just outside the door leading outside during recess and when she came out I chucked a kickball at her as hard as I could and nailed her right in the head. I'm sure you can imagine just how much trouble I got into over that. But even that wasn't enough to get her to stop pulling my hair, so the next time it happened, I decided that a kickball wasn't enough. I had a bunch of marbles and I would wait during lunch with them on the floor just outside the classroom door in the hallway so I could make her trip on them. And one day it worked. She came out, stepped on the marbles and her feet went out from under her and bam! She knocked herself out when she fell flat on her back. I just calmly walked over, picked up my marbles and left her lying there. It never occurred to me that she could have been seriously hurt. o_O And when the school called an ambulance for her I freaked and never told anyone. Luckily even though she was gone for two weeks after that, the injury she got wasn't serious. And even better, she never knew it was me who did it. To this day she thinks it was just an accident. That's right BKstyles...Rub it in! :p I find it slightly amusing that your party is all girls where mine is all guys. lol My party was Fayt, Albel and Cliff. Who by the way do a good job too. I know what you mean about too many games though since I'm also throwing in some time playing Tales of the Abyss. I haven't even looked at other games since I want to beat Tales before I snag another one.
does anybody know if their still selling the greatest hits copy of the game? the original was discontinued, then I saw the game for greatest hits. My Heart puonded at that moment. The same when I saw that KH2 is on the greatest hits list. Star Ocean's voice cast wasn't the greatest though.
Amazon for the win: Star Ocean It's reasonably priced at just under twenty bucks. As for the voice cast, other than a few voices I didn't mind them too much. That and I loved Crispin Freeman as Albel Nox. I love stuff that he does. :catgirl:

Meh, my party was at about level 95 when I took out
Gabriel Celesta
I can't even imagine doing it in the seventies or close to being in the eighties. I got clobbered royally and a couple of times I thought I was going to die. It was sheer luck a few times that my main character survived and could revive the others. >_< Anyway...I finally got to the level where I got the
Etheral Blast
for Fayt. I positively love that attack, though I'm not looking forward to facing it at the end of the caves area. And since it's so easy to get a bonus battle gauge going I've been leveling my party up a bit. As soon as I get closer to level 160 I'm going to go for the final level in the caves. After I refine and add some more of those
boots of prowess
to my main characters that is. As well as making more recovery items to replace what I used to defeat Angel boy.

Most of the things I would suggest have already been mentioned but I'd thought I'd at least make it known that I too would like to help out with this. Everyone has such good ideas to make it more of a complete newspaper and doing it monthly seems like it would work really well. And now that I've started I have a suggestion, one to add on to BKstyles of picking writers. If you do go with specific writers I would go more for getting a team than just one or two people for a spot. Since having more than one person means that if someone doesn't have the time one month, someone else would. And it would add a nice amount of diversity to what is put out. I'd stil have guest writers too like BKstyles mentioned. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes. ^_~

Good work Kathy. :catgirl: I was wondering who Sandy would pick. Since Shy's thread created more of a stir and your's seemed to be more specific and to the point. I honestly wasn't sure just which person he would choose. And the next challenge? Goodness! This has certainly been an unexpected part of this game as each duel has been surprising. Even though the one for you and Shy fit both of you I still didn't expect it. Anyway, with the score now tied that just makes it even more fierce! Best of luck Aaryanna. Even though I am in the position to actually be able to help you, I don't think it would be fair. Though I'll be cheering for you just the same. ^_~

EDIT: And by the way are we going to ever free Alcuin nó Prideux? Erica had finally finished, the final touches of what she had prepared for Kiva to find was done. Originally it had been intended for William since the moment she had found out about her illness she had started working on it. And it would still be sent to him since it was likely that the High Council would attempt to suppress the knowledge, to make sure that no one ever found out. With a sigh she terminated the connection to her personal information vault, one that all members of the High Council had, a place where they could store information that no one else could get into. Not even another councilor. Like everyone else Erica had used it, but until she got sick, she had never recorded anything that had to do with the resistance, choosing to keep that knowledge committed to memory. But when things had changed she had starting writing a time line from when she first started leading the Resistance. Including it since once someone died, the information was accessed by who ever had seniority among her own faction. She had never included it before since even though protocol demanded that only she access it, Erica was not so naive as to believe that the head of her faction would follow protocol. Though so far the security indicated that such a serious breach had never occurred. But now that didn't matter, and since she had started it, so far no one had looked. But then she had never done anything to give others a reason to try and pry into her affairs. Erica had never gotten involved in some of the more questionable activities that a few councilors had. And even though the information had all the details and files associated with things that she had found out, Erica had been careful to leave out names or situations where it would be easy to determine who could have been involved. So it wasn't as complete as she would have liked, but it was more than enough. ------------------------------------------- Celestia was depressed, after what had happened the other day where Dakar had punished them, she had been feeling guilty. Even though she knew it was their fault for what they had done to her people and for keeping both her and Jason here against their will. Logically she knew they were wrong but emotionally, it hurt. She already missed both Daniel and Sara terribly. As well as Kim. Even with how hard things had been, when she had been with them at least she had felt hopeful. But now? It seemed beyond hopeless and part of her couldn't seem to shake how horrible it felt inside. Without Jason she honestly felt like she would be going crazy. She was so caught up in how she felt that Celestia paid little attention to where she was being taken, not even realizing that it was a different lab this time or that there was a different person there. She just took the seat indicated, waiting dully for her instructions since they had completed the one for the transport doors. Celestia was not expecting someone who was more cheerful, who extended his hand to shake hers with a smile. Leaving her and Jason feeling dumbfounded until he explained further after pulling up a chair and sitting across from them. "I guess I should introduce myself right? I did look up your Earth customs, but I don't remember if I'm suppose to say who I am before shaking your hand or not." He smiled apologetically, "Anyway, my name is Nat, Nat Scorer. I'm the assistant director of this part of the Council Center and I'll be working with the two of you from now on. But before we start, do either of you have any questions for me?" Celestia just shook her head, too confused by his manner to think of anything to ask. Jason shook his head as well. Still confused by Nat's more friendly behavior. "Alright, how about I start with how I do things?" He waited for a nod from them and then continued. "Now I heard all about what happened with the director and I want you to know that I do not work like that. If you have a problem with something I am doing, tell me. I've already checked into how your technology is based and even if some of it is completely illogical it does work. So obviously you're going to need to work with me on this since I can't always tell by looking at your calculations or programs. But then your race didn't use Crystals correct?" "Correct." Celestia replied. "Well then, now that we've settled that how about you answer some of my questions about the modifications you made that enabled the transport door to move? Once we've covered that we'll start on the next assignment." "Okay," Celestia said hesitantly. He smiled at both of them again. "Oh and one other thing, I'm sorry that you were disciplined for what happened, but I assure you the rest of us were pleased to see Jethra finally get dressed down for being such an arrogant ass."

All right team, the thread is up. Sandy did not say that we were restricted to only one idea so I presented three that I have been thinking about. I hope all of you like the suggestions and definitely be sure to provide your own feedback on what you think of the ideas. ;)
Excellent work Kathy, each and every one of your ideas were great. ^_~ I especially like the one about making an OtakuBoards newspaper that is more prominent like Otakupedia. I know I for one really hope that one takes off. I'll be offering my help on that one as well as reading it once you start posting it. I guess now we just sit back and see what Sandy thinks of the whole thing.

1) On the requirement for new members: I understand that this is meant to prevent spammers from creating it, but let's think about this. If it were just a small amount of posts, what's to keep the spammers from posting 3 to 5 simple posts and then go onto create the thread? Sure, they'll get warnings from the mods, the second they find that the posts aren't up to par, but if they work quick enough, they can have the requirement taken care of and have the thread up in under 20 minutes. Also, if you limit them on thread-making, what's to stop them from just spamming a previously-created thread. Of course, the post would get delted and more than likely, they would get banned, but if their intentions were to simply spam and then move on, then why would they care? Also, considering new users, I do believe that it would be good for some. However, it would turn out to be a double-edged sword no matter how small or large the posting requirement was for new members. Some new members would benefit from it, but there are those that aren't new to forums and would actually be offended if they were required to make a minimum amount of posts. Many would either be hasty to post a thread, which could result in less than acceptable posts, or they would simply delete their account and move along to the next forum they come across. I am also unfamiliar with how the boards work and that it would be complicated to add what you are trying to say, but even if it did happen, it would ultimately cut down on newer members joining, the mods would have to be working overtime on crappy post warnings, and in the end we would still get spam. It may sound like a benefit to the boards, but I just can't see how it would actually help the community as a whole.
Aaryanna_Mom isn't talking about new members, she's talking about combating automated software. Spambots are automated programs designed to register on forums, post spam, and then leave. It's not the same as a person who who would take the time to post a measly three posts in order to be able to do more. I think that's why she was suggesting such a low restriction, since it's not designed to catch live spammers. Merely to help deflect the automated ones that flood the internet. It's an excellent suggestion since programs like that are designed to post threads not just a post in an existing thread. Someone would have to rewrite the program for it to post elsewhere first. It's true that this won't affect other people who spam in the same nature, but automated ones? You can argue that it would discourage people from joining, but I don't agree. Even though the current system of being required to do an e-mail verification is not working, most people expect to have to go through a few things before they can be more active on a forum. It's pretty standard. 2 - I rather like this one, but then I like getting little cards on special days. It's fun and if someone doesn't mind doing it or if there's a program besides the one that's broken that can do it, why not? And even if it's the same card for everyone, that's no biggie either since before the e-mail system went kaput, everyone got the same text message other than it had your user name to personalize it a bit. 3 - I definitely like this one the most, if only because I love reading what goes into Otakupedia. Having a regular newspaper that looked back on interesting threads and happenings each month is something I know I would enjoy reading. And making it a monthly deal would be far more feasible in my opinion, since activity varies quite a bit. Plus that would be less demanding than something that was done more often, it would give you more time to collect information for the actual post in question. All in all, I think all of these suggestions are excellent.

Removed post, because in the end it was pointless and a true deletion would have left a messy DP for AM. So now it's just spam for our team thread. :p

Quite a few of us here are guilty of perversion, SunfallE, DB, myself, and Indifference included. Equal ratio to males and females there too. Pfft, and they say men are hornier than women ;). Hehe.
*protests* But, but!!! You finished it! *pouts* Hehe. ^_~ But more importantly, good grief! Someone broke a rule! And Hell! Since Rachmaninoff and I were the ones posting about group four it means it was either him or me. >_< Can't say I care for that punishment. I positively hate cold water, even to drink. Brrr! Dammit! Someone else needs to break a rule for a change! Even though I'm fairly sure it was Rach. *pokes him* At least I think I'm sure... :bawl: Oh and *pokes Allamorph* No reason, just felt like it. :p

I just couldn't resist since I never see you in the list of who's online, your posts just magically appear! ^_~ And so I'm not completely off my rocker...Here's an update on the list.
