Erica, from the vantage point of being out on the balcony of her estate on Reflection, watched as the two flagships the Creator and the Conqueror passed by. Both ships so massive that even on the ground she knew what the two shapes were as they headed towards the home world. Though she knew when they were due to arrive so it was no surprise to her, nor did she need to use a portable type of scanner and screen meant for deep space viewing, much in the same way those on Earth would use what they called a telescope. Now that they had returned, she was going to be even more busy. Erica had already approved the release of the program Silver One and had it sent to Kiva on the Transcendence. Once she finished her vacation she would have found it waiting for her. As much as Erica hated giving it to her, she like Kiva understood the necessity of not standing out. So since it would be useful, Erica had made a point of getting it done. They couldn't rely on Jason or Celestia's programming expertise at the moment anyway and the moment Erica had learned of their capture she had immediately issued the orders to modify or outright quit using things that Jason and Celestia had written. Erica got up from where she had been sitting on the lounging chair and went back inside her bedroom. It was almost time to take the medicine that enabled her to sleep. Without it the pain would keep her awake. It was a pity that the one medicine that could keep her from hurting also put her to sleep. Still, if she was going to finish preparing everything for Kiva to find, she was going to need to be rested. Most of it she had already taken care of, but there was still a few things to be done. Erica sighed as she took the medicine, if only the pain medications for the day could be so effective. ----------------------------------------- Even though she had recovered from what had made her sick, Celestia still found herself tiring easily. But as Jason had said when she first got sick, Dakar did not care if she was tired. The moment the doctor had cleared her, Dakar had immediately started their interrogations again. Taking them, as he always did, down the hallway to the lift and then down to where the rooms with the equipment was. And even though they had been cooperating by answering the questions, Dakar still had them secured into the chairs each and every time. Today had been no exception, and even though Dakar had not used the disruptor's on either one of them, Celestia was still afraid of accidentally saying something that he wouldn't believe. Something that would result in him torturing either her or Jason. But what made it worse was part of her just wanted to tell Dakar and the god damn High Council to get lost. If Jason wasn't here she probably would have. And when they dropped them off in the quarters they had been assigned to and the door locked behind them Celestia turned around and stomped her feet. "God Damn cowards!" She yelled, not caring if they could hear her through the door. "Celestia!" Jason reached out and gently grabbed her shoulders, turning her so she was facing him. "Please, don't do that. They'll hear you!" "I don't care!" Celestia said, still furious. "It's not like they aren't watching everything we do and say anyway." "Correct." A cold voice said from the doorway. With a startled shriek Celestia whirled around to see that the door had opened and that Elite Commander Dakar was standing there, with his arms folded across his chest, looking far from amused. Celestia couldn't help it, she stepped backwards, fearfully. Running into Jason who moved in front of her, positioning himself so he was between Celestia and Dakar. She fought the urge to cry. Torn between the desire to tell Dakar just what she thought of him and yet too frightened of what would happen if she did. "I'm sorry," Jason stammered. "Please, Celestia's still tired from being so sick." "So long as it's here in the quarters we have provided for you two, I don't care what either one of you says. It's not like we expect members of a lesser race to be civilized." Dakar said disdainfully as he took a few steps into the room, and the door closed behind him. "Make no mistake though, any disrespect outside of this area will be dealt with. You are in the Council Center after all and it is expected of all citizens as well as anyone else to behave." "I understand sir." Jason said. "Well I don't." Celestia said sarcastically. "We didn't ask to be here in your precious Council Center." "Celestia!" Jason said under his breath, trying to get her to stop. But Celestia, even though she was frightened was still angry. "I won't be quiet! Just as we can't stop them from listening to us we can't stop them from doing what ever they want. Why should I be quiet? They have no right to make our decisions for us!" Celestia move around Jason so that she was in front of him. "I know perfectly well that you intend to separate us. You talk of respect and yet you took our rings, the symbol of our status being tied. You took our world from us as well as forcing us to come here. So why should I respect any of you when you don't give a damn about us!" Dakar just raised an eyebrow at Celestia's outburst. "Lesser races do not have rights. Being allowed to be a part of the Empire is a privilege. Also, I am not here to argue with you over what you think you are entitled to. If you are to get any respect, you must earn it." Dakar reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch and tossed it to Celestia who caught it. Puzzled she opened it to find their rings inside. What the? Why is he giving these to us? "I came here to give you those now that they have passed security. If it were up to me you would not be getting them, just as I would not be keeping the two of you together." Dakar said coldly. "Then why?" Celestia asked. "I do not question the High Council's orders, I follow them. If you wish to know why you will have to ask them." Dakar turned to leave but turned back. "One other thing, I will be starting you in the labs tomorrow. You will be allowed to use the computers under close supervision, but remember, any stupidity will be severely punished." He waited until both Celestia and Jason nodded before leaving, shutting the door and locking it again. Puzzled Celestia handed Jason his ring before putting her own on. The High Council was the one ordering that they be kept together? Just what was going on? She could have sworn that it was them who had ordered their separation when they had been on board the Crimson before the resistance rescued them. What had changed their minds?
  2. Group One Mary Winters was shocked! She had been doing her duties as any good Palace maid does. Changing bedding and cleaning the castle. But one moment she had been making the bed and then the next she was here. And the people, they were startling, frightening and utterly foreign. She had tried to be brave and failed, falling to her knees when they had left the room. But one of them, a woman with astonishing blue hair, had immediately helped her, soothing her fears until she had quit crying and finally stood up. Introducing herself as Lucia. A name that surely was noble as Mary had never seen anyone wearing such finely woven garments before. Lucia's dress was a bit revealing as it was far to form fitting and the top didn't cover her shoulders at all. If not for the lack of petticoats and the shortness of the dress that only went past Lucia's knees...Still if she had been snatched and brought her like Mary had then perhaps she had been resting in her private sitting room? Mary didn't know what noblewomen wore in private. But what shocked her the most was when the fine looking gentleman grabbed Lucia's left wrist, hurting her. How could a gentleman hurt a lady? Mary nearly fainted from fear until one of the others interfered and made him let go. Instantly Mary ran to Lucia's side asking her if she was alright since she was favoring her wrist. Holding it up against her chest. Lucia smiled at her, "It's alright Mary, I'll be fine." Though her glance towards the one who had hurt her didn't say so. She looked afraid. Mary looked over at the man, she did not like the look in his eyes. Cold, calculating and uncaring. She had seen that look before, from one of her masters before she had been given to the royal family to pay a debt. Her previous master had been cruel, nothing like the stern yet kind master at the palace. What a horrible man! She thought. And here I thought he was a gentleman! "You'd best stay away from him miss. That kind is trouble, just like my previous no good master was." Mary looked up into her eyes, making sure that Lucia was paying attention. "Don't worry, Mary," Lucia said with an uneasy smile. "I will." But Lucia shivered just the same. Surprised that she was feeling so cold. Mary just stood next to Lucia while the others talked among themselves, not really understanding most of what they said. Deciding to stick close to Lucia as the others still frightened her. Then suddenly Lucia spoke up. "It's getting really cold in here, I can see my own breath." Lucia shivered violently, looking at the others but carefully avoiding Katar's gaze. Lucia had seen that look before in another mans eyes, and it only confirmed her initial impression of this place. Who ever had brought them here had surely put them together to see what would happen. They hadn't even been here five minutes and he had already attacked someone. If Marius hadn't stopped him...Lucia shivered again. Wondering who else in the group would be a problem. "She's right," Marius observed, "it is getting colder, we'd better get moving." "I don't recall anyone putting you in charge." Claire said. Dropping her nearly finished cigarette on the floor and stomping on it. "I don't need your permission to point out the obvious fact that it's getting colder and colder in here." Marius said coldly. "Stay here and freeze if you wish." "Fine by me" Katar said taking the initiative and heading towards the doors. "The air isn't the only thing in here that's cold." He shot a mocking glance at Marius before heading towards the doors. A moment later the rest of them did as well, though Katar noticed that the woman with the blue hair and the one she had helped were keeping their distance. A moment later they were at the doors. Impatient, Claire pushed past Katar and opened them, heading through the now open doors. Katar shrugged and followed, the others close behind.
  3. I agree, it will be interesting to see... Also...

We are being no such thing, we are being meticulous in our decision. Not to mention it only seems like we're slower relatively, seeing as how The Sunflowers did everything quick and without much deliberation. [/spoiler']
I just have to do this team:
*pokes BKstyles* You forgot about pms when it comes to deliberations. =P It's not like we were going to openly post and tell you every little step of the process. *pokes BKstyles again for good measure*
:p Aanndd.... Now that that's out of the way. I'm eager to see what the other team has done. If only so Sandy can make his decision and the next part will commence. Though I have to admit, making the banner and avatar was fun, even if it did take far longer than I expected it too. Now as for the actual duel, I too am curious to see what it will be. I've got all sorts of ideas going through my mind so I really want to find out if I'm right! :catgirl:

  5. Alright, first post is up. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's now thinking, oh I bet this character belongs to this person and so on. But what I'm really looking forward to is when someone accidentally does something on 'the list' and gets clobbered by CCC! Hehe, I liked your example with Deoky, since I followed along with the Maze and he was one sick and evil bastard. lol If anyone deserves punishment it would have been him. ^_~
And I loved how Sandy killed him too.
Anyway, I hope you post what that list is once the game is done and over with, like Rach did where he posted about everything for each round and how he made his decisions and such. That was fun to read too.
  6. Group Three Until just a few minutes ago Eliana had just finished getting ready to go out to dinner with a date. Or rather an evening with one of many clients from the club she danced for. With her long form fitting dress with slits running all the way up both sides, the sleeveless dark blue silk dress was hardly the right sort of outfit for running around. About the only good thing was that since she had only just finished with her hair and make up, she was still wearing the more practical and comfortable flat sandals since she always waited until she was done to put on her high heels. At least she was wearing the dress with slits nearly up to her waist on each side instead of the other one she had been considering that had none. Especially since both of them went nearly to the floor. As a result, even though the catlike Dafine was helping people up once she had a grip on the edge she easily pulled herself up and into the next area without further help. Eliana had never seen someone like Dafine before, but then so many aliens visited her world she had lost track of how many there were. And in the end she didn't really care either. She had clients from all sorts of different races. A few minutes later all of them were out. "So what now?" The one who had called himself Alcuin asked. To Eliana he seemed a bit out of it, kind of like some of those she dealt with at the club, as if he was hungover. She certainly hoped not. After what the video had said, the last thing they needed was someone who had just been drinking. And she was quite positive that he had seemed annoyed that Dafine helped the children and women first. What a mess. "I would imagine that we are expected to do as the Central Command Center stated in the video. It did say our goal was to escape and that there would be obstacles approaching. I would imagine that means that if we don't get moving something unpleasant will occur. You saw what happened to the room we were just in, if we had not left as instructed, we all would have died." "I know that." Alcuin said a bit annoyed. "What I meant is do we want to decide on a plan of action first." "What type of plan? For the moment there's only one other door out of this room." Eliana said, indicating the double set of doors on the other side of the empty square room they were in. "Unless you're talking about who should be in charge." "Obviously we are not likely to agree on a single leader," the one called Etamet spoke up. "But it is logical that those with skills should probably lead while the rest follow. I do not know what approaches but I am a hunter." "Well my name is Serena," the girl with pink hair finally spoke up. "And if you want to do things by who has some sort of skills for defending themselves, that leaves me out. I'm good at computer programming and hacking, but that's about it." A few minutes later after discussing among themselves who could do what, the group semi split up and then Eliana spoke. "I guess it's settled then. For the moment we'll stick to those who know something of defense being in the lead. I'll stick with the others right behind you since even though I'm a dancer, I have at least been trained in basic street fighting techniques." She smiled apologetically, "It was kind of unavoidable since some guys don't understand the word no."
  7.
When a character is imprisoned, they will go into a sort of solitary confinement. There will be a set, real-time amount of time in which they will remain imprisoned. During that time, they will be subject to various psychological or physical correctional activities. When a character is imprisoned, they cannot be moved from their confinement until their sentence is over. It is possible for them to be killed while in confinement.
Well it's too late for me to be awake enough for a post, but definitely for a question. When you talk about psychological or physical correctional activities, is that something you will define when a character is imprisoned or will it be something that we will be allowed to make up? Anyway, I'll be back with a post after I've gotten some sleep. ^_~ And then the fun of keeping track of thirty characters will set in. Good thing we'll have those death cards to start thinning the numbers down with! Once everyone posts first that is.
  8.
Tenacious D are GODS among men! Emo is a festering shithole dug using the shovel-like hairflips of the squealy-voiced crotch-crushed face-painters. I'd sooner die than admit to liking an emo band. ... And AFI isn't emo, so :p XD
And I'm sure you could have told us you don't like emo without sounding like an *** in the process DB. There's no need to be so abrasive since 'Best Music Artists' is subjective and an opinion only. And another thing, don't run words together to get around the swear filter. And following that line of thought, subjective opinion, mine that is...Though not new in the world of music, one of the best in my experience is Enya, having just become familiar with the album Watermark. With my favorite song in it being Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) I like the new age and Celtic themes and instrumentation. I also like how it has a ballad sound with the piano and vocal harmonies and symphonic synthesizer movements. I'm definitely going to go and get some more albums by this artist.
  9. Well I was in the first Labyrinth, but since my character made it to the exit I decided to pass on the Maze, though I did follow along, especially since I helped Rachmaninoff with the graphics. ^_~ But I'll jump in for another one even though I don't have any characters ready since it's late for me. I just figured I'd post to let you know of my intent.
Anyone I find unnacceptable I can use in unique ways as cannon fodder. This way everyone gets a chance, and those who fail become my little toys
Hmmm... So what's your idea of unacceptable? Not that I'm worried about myself mind you, but I do kind of wonder with that statement of yours about those who fail becoming your little toys. LOL! :p Anyway, once I've gotten some rest I'll get those characters to you later.

It had only been a week since they had been brought to sector one, but to Jason it felt like an eternity. He sat up in the bed, careful to not wake Celestia who was still sleeping since according to the display in the room, Commander Dakar would not be arriving for at least another hour so there was no reason to wake her when she could sleep a little longer first. Celestia was not taking things very well and it worried Jason since it was obvious to him that she was horribly stressed. Jason laughed softly at the absurdity of the situation, how could she not be stressed? It was taking everything he had to keep from breaking down himself. Every single moment he worried about when they would finally separate them. After all he had been registered as being Jared's property. It was only a matter of time until he was sent to him. Jason lifted his arms and looked at the disruptor restraints. They looked like harmless gaudy jewelry since they appeared to be thick metal bands instead of powerful disruptor's. He knew better though, he still remembered what happened the last time when he had been on the Crimson, when the guards had mistakenly left him in a room that wasn't cleared and they had activated, nearly killing him since he had not been genetically modified yet. With a sigh he lowered his arms and leaned back against the wall. If not for their advance medical technology he would have been crippled for life, but Crystal had repaired the damage to his nerves. As well as eventually modifying both him and Celestia. Jason looked at the display again and carefully got out of bed to change into the plain blue clothing that they were required to wear. Then he sat back down and reached over and gently shook Celestia to wake her up. "Go away," Celestia mumbled before turning away from Jason. He moved further onto the bed and reached out to shake her left shoulder. "It's time to get ready Celestia." "I don't care," she replied, a hint of irritation creeping into her voice. "Besides, I'm too tired." "Please Celestia, Dakar won't care that your tired." Celestia let out a half sob of irritation before trying to get up only to fall to the floor in the process. "Celestia!" Jason quickly climbed over and reached out to help her back into a sitting position on the bed. "See?" She said as he helped her. "I'm so tired that I'm dizzy." "Hell! You're more than tired! You're burning up!" Jason helped her lie back down and covered her with the blanket. "Stay put while I go and contact Dakar." Celestia just mumbled and closed her eyes. Not caring what was going on while Jason left for a few minutes and then came back to sit next her on the bed. All she cared was that she was tired and wanted to sleep. Part of her wanted to feel upset or alarmed but she couldn't think clearly. And a moment later it didn't matter as she was asleep again. Jason waited for Dakar to show up since he had sounded less than thrilled when he had contacted him. And when the door to their quarters opened and Dakar along with a couple of guards entered the bedroom the first thing he did was order Jason away from the bed while he took a moment to scan her with his hand held computer. Then he put it away and ordered one of his men to carry Celestia. "Is she going to be alright?" Jason asked. Dakar turned to answer Jason, "You can ask the doctor that." He turned and addressed his men. "Alright, lets go." Jason simply followed along as they left the quarters and headed for the lift that was at the end of the hallway. Only this time instead of going down they went up. He couldn't tell how far since his view of the panel indicating which floor they were going to was blocked but when the doors opened to another corridor, one that actually had windows. He couldn't help but gawk as they walked down the corridor. Jason had seen where they were before! It took him a moment to realize where but then it hit. Celestia had shown him a picture of where the High Council was located. They were in the actual Council building! He could see part of the rest of the structure from where he was at, as well as the rest of the underground city. The picture hadn't done it justice as the underground cavern was unbelievably huge as well as the building they were in. And the surrounding city stretched as far as he could see. Dakar had told him where they were and he had guessed it by what had happened, but it was still a bit shocking to actually see it. Before he could think on it they came to a turn in the corridor and then he could see nothing other than a set of doors at the end of the next corridor. Doors that once they were through led to a huge medical facility. With out hesitation Dakar took them to a room further back where Celestia was placed on one of the two beds. Then after leaving two of the guards with them, Dakar left without a word. Jason didn't get a chance to wonder what was going to happen since only moments later a doctor entered the room and immediately began to scan Celestia with a hand held scanner. Then he turned to Jason. "You must be Jason and this is Celestia, correct?" He continued when Jason nodded. "I am Dr. Jacobs. Now it's really quite simple, and nothing to worry about. Celestia has a very common childhood disease, something that will pass in a few days, though I'll give her something to make her more comfortable as well as speed up the recovery process. I assume that you have similar things on your world?" "Yes Doctor. We do." Jason replied. Relieved that she would be fine. "I thought as much," he said even as he also scanned Jason. "Well, it appears that you are fine, but then you are completely human so that's no surprise. But in Celestia's case, well no matter. Once she recovers she'll never get it again. If she had been raised on one of the main worlds she would have already been exposed, which is why it's a childhood disease, most children get it at a young age and then never again. Anyway, since standing orders are that you two are to stay together, you can use the other bed since I'll be keeping her here overnight to make sure she recovers just fine. With her mixed heritage it would be better to keep an eye on her. Do you have any questions for me before I go?" "Uh, no doctor. Thank you." Jason stammered. Distracted by what he had just said. Standing orders that we be kept together? What is that about? "Alright then, my assistant will be in shortly to treat her. If you have any concerns you can use the panel by either bed to contact the staff." He turned to leave and stopped to address the guards. "There's no exit from this room other than this one so you two can stand guard outside. She's not going to rest very well with you two around." To Jason's surprise the guards merely nodded and left with the doctor. Once the door had shut Jason moved the chair between the beds closer to Celestia and sat down by her bed. Still wondering just what the doctor had meant when he said standing orders were that they were to be kept together.
  11.
Besides, they're not cutting smoking from movies. They're just going to rate them differently. Which makes me curious; do any of you naysayers think that we should abolish the ratings system entirely because movies don't influence people? That's what the entire thing is for; to keep things like sex and violence from influencing kids.
I'm of two minds about this. The first I can see how it would be considered an influence on teenagers or minors since often they want to look cool, they want to fit in, and if their friends and favorite stars are smoking, it just might influence them to do so too. On the other side, if we are educating these kids and they know the dangers, then there's really no need to rate smoking in movies. Since in the end they'll make their own choice as to whether or not they decide to smoke. I know when I was a teenager I could have cared less if someone smoked. In fact since I was still living at home and required to attend church, anyone who smoked was looked down on by me and my friends. It was considered way uncool to smoke. Though now I don't really care if someone does, so long as it's not in my house. Now as for your statement about removing ratings...ratings, at least for me, are a way to know what to expect when I get a movie or decide what to go and see. So even if we decide that violence, sex and smoking doesn't really influence people, ratings are still useful. Though I doubt you'll be able to convince a fair amount of parents that they don't influence minors. And on some level I think it does influence minors, after all, just as I was raised to think smoking was awful, my parents as well as my friends parents couldn't be bothered to teach us the basics about sex. So obviously, even though movies aren't real, seeing such stuff would have influenced us from the standpoint of it would have been the only thing we would have seen or heard about sex. But in my opinion that would have been our parents fault not the creator of the movie.
  12. Well I sent off the changes you requested last night Kathy, so just let me know what all of you think. If we do go with the last one I made I'll probably host it myself instead of using image shack since lately they've been a pain in the butt. That way we won't have to worry about it working like it should since I have a pro PhotoBucket account. ^_~ Though if we go with a different one I'll host it too if you guys want me to. I've got plenty of room to put up pictures. Also if we do go with the last flag I sent, I vote for this color: Gold - Code #FFD700 because it's so bright, like Sunflowers. And because the yellow for OB doesn't show up very well where this color does. And if Sandy ends up requiring us to use our team colors it will look much better than this would: OB Yellow That's just a little to bright in my opinion. Though if I use colors when I post to go along with having the flag in my signature I'll probably go with this color: Golden Rod - Code #DAA520 Because it will look good with the gold and is a little easier to read. ^_~ So there you have it, unless all of you want me to make more changes, and I can since I saved it in the right format for editing, then I'm done and yes I'm biased towards the last one I made. Even though I love the others too. ^_~

Erica continued with what she always did, getting the treatments she needed and then doing as much as possible before needing to quit for the day. When she had met William in sector seven she had been able to do more, but just as her personal doctor had warned her, with each month that went by she found that her ability to do things decreased. At this rate in another six to eight months she wouldn't be able to do anything at all. But then the doctor had said she had about a year and it had already been nearly four months since she found out about her illness. With a sigh she carefully went out onto the upper balcony on her estate on Reflection where she could sit down and at least pretend she was comfortable. And at least the view was calming and rather beautiful to look at as the sun set. In just a day or two, Kiva would be returning to duty and heading for sector seven. It was right next to sector one which was a good thing. If she had needed to travel further, it would waste time that Erica didn't have anymore. And though she had told her what she needed to get started, Erica had still left things out. Kiva would find out soon enough what she had not told her. Giving her too much information could have backfired. The investigation had to be as complete as possible. What Erica had given her was merely the key to unlock the rest. Something that she was sure Kiva would do. Erica pulled out her hand held computer and opened it up. She had a lot to do since originally she had planned on taking her secret to the grave. But after both Jason and Celestia had been captured she had decided on bringing everything to the open. It would accomplish quite a bit. Not only would it shock those of the High Council, but the people as well since she would make sure it was made public. It would also have the dual effect of drawing attention away from William. They wouldn't forget him and they would still wonder, but right now the High Council was convinced he was the leader of the resistance so to learn just how mistaken they were would make them question if their other information was correct. And finally, it would make Kiva's position more secure since once she was gone, she would be one of the highest placed resistance members in the Versilan Empire. There were others of course, but none as high as Erica was. They weren't Elite Specialists, but they were high enough. Erica finished making some notes and then closed her hand held down. In an odd way she was looking forward to seeing her fellow Council members shocked faces when they realized that it was she who had led the resistance all this time. --------------------------------------------------------- Elite Commander Dakar had warned both Celestia and Jason about behaving while in the presence of the High Council. But in the end, the warning had not been necessary. Celestia as well as Jason had in the end been far to intimidated by them. Celestia in particular, clinging to Jason and trembling a bit as they faced so many cold and unfriendly faces. Later Jason commented offhandedly that it had felt like being in a zoo where everyone came to point at the exhibit, trapped behind the glass. And Celestia had agreed with him. It had been horrible since within a very short time it was obvious that they had no intention of really talking to them, it was more of a curiosity to see the members of an inferior race who had written so many programs, programs that their own scientists had struggled to finish. Many of them from when they had been on the Crimson, they didn't even know what they were for. Then they had assigned Elite Commander Dakar to oversee both their interrogations as well as the security for when they would be transfered to some research lab. One that once they were done and Elite Commander Dakar had taken them elsewhere, he had told them was the High Council's personal facility and that failure to cooperate would not be tolerated. As well as foolish attempts to get around the security since they would be working on the computers in the lab. He had been quite clear when he had put both of them in what appeared to be quarters for the scientists who worked in sector one that he expected total obedience. Though their quarters had been modified so that like the cells they were locked in and the workstations had been disconnected. Though the quarters that Celestia and Jason were in were far more comfy that she would have expected. Celestia had been expecting a cell as well as being finally separated from Jason. But so far they were still keeping them together. Even for the interrogations since Dakar had been going over everything that had happened since the resistance had rescued them in the first place. Celestia sighed as she unconsciously toyed with the disruptor restraints. Since other than their quarters and when they were with Elite Commander Dakar, no where else was authorized, even if she managed to somehow open the door to their quarters, until they got the damn restraints off they were trapped. She looked around at the quarters from the vantage point of sitting on the sofa in the main room. Even if it was comfortable it was still a prison. She looked up as Jason came over to join her. Leaning into him as he sat down and put his right arm across her shoulders. If only the security doors hadn't been triggered when the base had been attacked. Then both of them wouldn't be in this mess.
  14. I like the one you did Rachmaninoff. ^_~ And I hope you guys like what I made since I have now sent it to all of you. And I can't wait to see what the other flags look like. I think Kathy is right, it's going to be a hard choice to make! :catgirl:
  15.
Sorry about this, Mods. And here's the link to Opposing Viewpoints
Sorry for what? Though you might want to give them a better link since the one you provided requires a person to log in. So if they can't get to the information, it won't do them much good. As for the topic, I agree with Aaryanna_Mom, on some level it's better if you get the information yourself. You have three points already, google is your friend in this type of situation and I'd be surprised if you couldn't find some good information to back those points. ^_~
  16.
Well, I'm not quite sure how much longer it took the Tempest to arrive, but I'd guess that Kiva and Daego still have a couple days of vacation left.
Works for me.
And that doesn't include what I'll be throwing into the mix, what with my objective and all. Which is going to be lots of fun. And other than this comment that's all the hint you're going to get. *evil laughter*
*pokes indifference* I've been waiting for you to cackle evilly. Took you long enough! Still you're right. And since I gave you several choices I know I'm curious to see which one you finally decided on. ^_~
  17.
Sohpia's a... [strike]freak. I don't normally see girls walking around with their pants unbuttoned and unzipped :) (Trying to seduce Fayt)[/strike] I don't really have much of an opinion about her just yet. ;) Peppita. More than likely I'll end up hating her more than any character in this game. That's about it for now. Edit: I just made it pass the caverns, (Kirsla, I believe that's the name) but I think I missed out on quite a few items while riding those Maulers. (Mainly the Earth thingy) Is that item a necessity or can I get by without it? If it is necessary, is there another place to get it, and will I need it for any upcoming battles? Bah, I need to get my hands on that guide >_>
Personally I find Sophia extremely annoying, but later on it's worth leveling her up since she does have some nice attacks and recovery symbology. I never keep her in my main party though. Peppita, ironically turned out to be less annoying than Sophia and though she's not a main character for me, I have had her in my party and used her character. She's surprisingly useful with her frozen daggers and instanto blast attack. Anyway, as for the caverns, at this point in the game there's a bunch of stuff that you can't get to yet. Some of it you have to run the caverns using an aggressive hauler since they are strong enough to smash through some of the walls blocking some of the tracks. It's a pain since you can't control the hauler, but after a few tries you usually end up finally breaking those barriers. Once they are gone unlike the gates they don't return so you can then go back with a steady one to pick up the stuff. You can't get the ripe berries, Fresh Sage or the 5000 fol otherwise. There's also a charm of insight, blackberries, falchion, Aquaberries and an Earth Pixie, though the Earth pixie is a pain to get since you need the Whimsical hauler to get it. And later you can invent one anyway, so it's not necessary to get it. Later once you've gotten the
ring of disintegration
, you'll want to return since then you'll be able to access the Trading Card EX4, 2 ripe berries, perfect berries, magical berries, Antique Jewelry, Water pixie, synthesis materials and 3000 fol. Once you start customizing, the synthesis material will be a must and the Antique Jewelry will be required in order to get the inventor Balbados to work for you.
He will be the inventor wandering around in the Mosel Dunes, he's good at crafting so when the time comes he'll be good to have on your team for crafting things.
So the synthesis material as well as the Antique jewelry, both of which you can't get yet, are the only things you really need from this area. And yeah, the guide is pretty damn useful. Not only does it have maps showing where everything is it has great tips on all that you need to do to get everything. In fact it's where I'm getting my information from. ^_~ The one by BradyGames is 268 pages thick. I've used mine a lot since I'm about half way through on the Universe level. I've only got a few more battle trophies to earn in order to unlock the hardest level. The 4D level. Though I'm wondering how in the world I'll manage to survive the first fight. I died the first time I tried to get past it on the harder Universe level. o_O
  18. Thanks again for the warm welcome everyone. ^_~ Now as for the discussion so far... I'm in agreement with both Anomaly and Aaryanna in that the Roses are more common and I much prefer the Sunflowers. I also like the idea of Teal and The Conquistadors. Since four of us know how to do graphics we could always make flags for both and then decide which one we like. Personally I'd like to take a whack at the Sunflowers one since that one appeals to me the most, where you could do one for The Conquistadors Anomaly. At least that's what I'm thinking. ^_~ And both Aaryanna and Rachmaninoff could pick which one they like the best and give it a try. What do you think Kathy?
  19.
First of all, welcome to the team SunfallE. ;)
Thank you very much, I must admit it feels a little strange though. Since I was sure you guys were going to snag one of the players who are good at graphics. ^_~ Still I'll do my best to contribute to a team that has clearly shown they've got what it takes, and I'm thinking we'll have lots of fun together. I'm already familiar with Aaryanna_Mom and Aaryanna by virtue of knowing them in real life and I'm familiar with Rachmaninoff since he's been a part of my Silver One RPG and I helped him with the graphics for his RPG the Maze. So the only person here I'm not that familiar with is Anomaly. Though I've seen you around due to the survivor RPG we've all been a part of. ^_~ So for Anomaly I'll go ahead and repost a little about myself... My real name is Elizabeth, though I usually go by the nickname Beth since I?ve never liked the nickname Liz. I?m 36 years old and I?m currently living in Provo, Utah, though I?ve also lived in Texas and California. And pretty much the entire west coast if you include the time when I was a truck driver. And I do mean one of those huge eighteen wheelers by the way. I actually was pretty indifferent to anime until I discovered the wonder of subtitles, though I did collect art books. I usually spend my spare time either playing video games, reading science fiction or fantasy (I?m a big Dr. Who fan) or scrap booking as my family has made visiting Yellowstone National park a tradition and I?ve been there seventeen times and have a ton of photos. Anyway when I got hurt on the job two years ago and couldn?t drive for a while I started browsing forums online which eventually lead to here. And there you have it. Me in a nutshell. Now I'm inclined to agree with Rachmaninoff and stick with the same team Captain you've had since Aaryanna_Mom is in my opinion a great choice. She's definitely in my opinion a great Captain. As for a team name and color, I'm coming up blank, but then I'm also up late since it's nearly four am and I'm a bit tired at the moment. Though I do have to admit that I find name the Sunflowers catchy and the colors you picked are definitely bright and cheery Rachmaninoff. ^_~ I love all colors, though I was pretty fond of shades of gold and yellow when I was growing up. I'm about to head off to snatch some sleep so I'll be back to see what the rest of you think as well as to post an idea for a name and color should I think of one. And like Rachmaninoff, I may not have a snazzy CS2 or one of the more expensive programs, but I still know how to do basic graphics and such. So I too can help out in that department. Anyway, I'm looking forward to working with all of you. ^_^
  20.
Actually, Beth, I think it's pretty obvious it would be you they selected for their team. ^_~
Okay it's official I am clueless! :bawl: Seriously though, it was a surprise since I figured they would snatch either you or Keyblade Wielder since both of you are good at graphics. Honestly, that's what I was expecting. Anyway, it's still going to be interesting and as I said before, best of luck to everyone. It's going to be fun in my opinion. ^_~
  21.
Heh, on the contrary I thought the outcome was rather predictable :p. It does suck that we'll be broken up, but the fact of the matter is we're still in the game together (minus Mary though :(). So good luck to everyone once the new teams are officially formed.
*pokes BKstyles* I meant that they put me on their team. That's what surprised me. I wasn't surprised by who they evicted. Though I'm going to miss Sakura. Honestly though I feel like I'm being kidnapped or something! XD And I agree, good luck to everyone. ^_~
P.S. Are you telling me that you guessed that they would split the teams the way they did? o_O Cause now I feel like I'm clueless here. LOL!

  22.
The merger should be rather interesting, but unfortunatley our team may have seen the last of it's alliance. It was great playing with all of you, and no matter what happens yous all cool in my book :p. If i make it to the final two teams, I'll keep going since I was kind of hoping we could turn out a win even with 3 active members, but we shall see what happens.
Well the results are up. I wasn't sure what to expect but what they did was not it! XD Seems like we will be on opposite teams from now on. It was fun working with all of you. ^_~ And I wanted to sneak that in here before Sandy comes along and sees their post and sets up the new threads. This is definitely going to get interesting!
  23. I always get my mom something, even though the two of us do not get along and I rarely talk to her. She liked what I got her and that's what matters I suppose. And then having tolerated her for a while I got the heck out of there and ran back home. Believe me, it's better to end it before we end up fighting over something like we usually do. Still there are lots of cool mom's out there and all in all it's a great day since many of them really deserve having something nice done for them. ^_~
  24.
Well, what can you do. The Mercs deserved to win. I suppose, though, we can just hope that our performance gets us a place in the final teams. Well done everyone, and fingers crossed.
I have to agree. They did do a good job. At least this time I don't have to vote someone off the team. And yeah, I hope I'm on one of the final teams too.
Excuse me, but the third theme was up for over a week. The challenge simply took too much time, and I assumed from the slow posting rate that people were starting to run out of ideas. The challenge was never meant to be a full-fledged RPG, anyways. But rest assured, there are plenty of exciting challenges ahead... if you make it there, that is. ;D
I would imagine the slow posting was due to people having finals since I know a lot of the schools here had finals the first two weeks of this month. As well as running out of ideas. ^_~ Either way, I'm excited to see how it turns out. *crosses fingers*

    Silver One

Celestia and Jason weren?t kept waiting for very long. They had only just settled down on the bed in the new cell when the door opened to admit what could only be a security team. All five of them dressed in uniforms of silver and grey. It was easy to tell which one was in charge since his outfit was far fancier than the other four. Without hesitation they entered the cell, two of them immediately taking up a position to guard them, their weapons drawn, a sight, that on some level had Celestia wanting to laugh hysterically since her and Jason were essentially helpless. The one leading them stayed back while the other two came forward and tossed two bundles they were carrying to both Jason and Celestia before stepping back and joining the others who were keeping watch. Bundles that by their feel were most likely clothing of some sort. ?Get changed immediately,? the one leading them stated. ?Everything that came with you stays here.? Celestia started to protest and changed her mind, instead she opened the bundle and pulled out the plain non descript blue clothing and slip on shoes and simply did as she was told, changing as quickly as possible. But when it came to the necklace she was wearing with her ring she hesitated. The other man had said nothing about it. But when she let go without removing it the expression of the one facing them changed. ?I said everything,? He reminded her. ?Why? It?s not a weapon.? Celestia protested. Reluctant to part with the ring Jason had given her. With a small sigh he stepped forward, reached up and simply grabbed the necklace and yanked, breaking the chain before letting go and dropping it on the floor. He grabbed Celestia when she reached to pick it up. Stopping her. ?I?ve been ordered to exercise a certain amount of leniency with you two, but if you continue to disregard my orders I?ll be anything but kind.? He said coldly before releasing Celestia and stepping back. He motioned to the two who had been carrying the bundle. ?Now, I?ve been told that the two of you are familiar with what these are,? He said as the other two fastened disruptor restraints on them. Celestia and Jason just nodded. They remembered them all to well from when they were on board the Crimson, they didn?t restrict movement, but they limited where you could go since unauthorized areas would result in them being activated, and though they weren?t as powerful as the disruptors use for interrogations, they were still effective. She did her best to hold back the tears as they fastened one around her neck and then one on each wrist and ankle. ?Good, now for the moment, these are designed to activate if you are more than ten of your Earth meters from where I am. Though make no mistake, should either of you misbehave I?ll activate them immediately, is that clear?? Once they both nodded again he pulled out a tiny communicator and contacted someone, issuing a set of lengthy codes a moment later a transport door opened and he immediately entered, followed by Jason and Celestia who were followed by the other four security guards. Copyright Dylan Cole @Dylan Cole Studio The area they stepped into was absolutely massive. Built out of elaborate stone with ceilings so high one almost couldn't see them. There was a huge waterfall flowing down behind what was obviously a permanent location for a transport door to be opened. A door that as soon as all of them were through closed. Leaving the view of the water flowing on the other side in place of where the door had been. Another man was there waiting for them, obviously impatient. "It's about time Elite Commander Dakar, the High Council does not like to be kept waiting." He turned and began to walk briskly down the huge hallway. Passing many branches that went off in other directions. "Then next time tell the High Council to give me more warning, instead of expecting things done yesterday." Dakar shot back. "You can take that up with the Council Elite Commander Dakar," the fussy man said as the approached a set of massive doors that started to open. "Now if you'll excuse me I have other duties to attend to." And with a bow he turned and went back the way they had just come. "I will." Dakar said as the other man left. Then he turned to Celestia and Jason. "Being allowed to actually meet the High Council is a privilege that inferior races are usually not permitted. So I expect both of you to behave. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what will happen if you don't." He said as he held up the device that would activate the disruptor restraints. "Good." He said when they both nodded. Then he turned and entered with them right behind him. Celestia instinctively moved closer to Jason, reaching out and taking his left hand in her right one. She had been curious to visit sector one some day. But not like this. She did her best to hold back the tears as she followed the Commander into the huge room where the others were waiting.
