I read that first post and was like "Ehhhh? Why do we get the wackos and not the other teams?" In any case, glad to see your pulsebeat grace the team thread again, White :).
Oh I don't know, seems to me that since it turned out to be White after all... we do have the wackos on our team! XD I kid! And I do agree with BKstyles, It's good to see you're actually alive White! ^_~

Lmao, I'm an idiot. My brother is downloading something so he made me use his account and so when I posted I accidentally posted under his OB account instead of mine. That post was meant to be made by myself. :animeshy: I'll repost it and delete the old one. >_

Are we only allowed to call one? Since there are two I want to try. If one I want: 48) Eggs Meh, never mind the question. I'll just go with Eggs since I have a wacky idea in mind. It should be great fun to do too! :catgirl:

All right, since nearly everyone will be operating in sector one in a bit I wanted to clarify something. Even though the High Council started with ten members, one from each faction. Since then over the centuries it has expanded. Right now there are a total of fifty members, five from each faction. And just like Erica who has her own estate on Reflection, many of them also have property there and spend their time off attending functions on Reflection. So things ought to get interesting when everyone arrives. Unlike Earth, the possibility of people running into each other will be far more likely. Hehe, should be fun. ^_~

Erica was pleased that Kiva had answered her request for a meeting so quickly, but then vacation or not Kiva always took care of her duties, it was part of what made her such an excellent Imperial agent as well as a highly successful Resistance agent. And Erica intended to keep it that way since once she was gone, having Kiva in her position was going to be essential to the Resistance's continued survival if what she had in mind did not work out. "I'll get straight to the point, I called you here to discuss your next mission. Once you are done with your vacation here on Reflection you will be assigned to track down just how the Resistance got a hold of the explosives that were used in the attack in sector seven. You're not suppose to know of this yet so there's no need for me to explain the details since you will be briefed before you head to sector seven. What you do need to know is that though William carried out the attack, it was I who obtained the clearance codes allowing him to transport the explosives to the facility as well as obtaining the explosives that were used. Or rather I made sure another agent had the necessary information in order to get those codes. I turned the explosives and the codes over to William so that I would not be in sector seven at the time of the attack." Erica paused for a moment and then continued, she didn't expect a response from Kiva just yet and Kiva was waiting patiently since it was obvious Erica was not finished. "I have made sure that all traces that could have lead to me were erased, but now during your investigation I want you to correct that. I want you to put those traces back. I am sure that for you it will be possible, since I know that your skills are more than up to the task. And it's even possible that you would have found the traces anyway, since you are also good at finding stuff that was supposedly removed. Something that you might have fixed to protect my identity, since arranging the attack required risks that I normally do not take. " Erica then to Kiva's surprise gave her some information, telling her to commit it to memory, something that Kiva quickly did, reciting it back to her word for word. "Now I realize what giving you that information will do, and the inherent dangers to the Resistance should that be known. But at the same time it is necessary. Losing both Jason and Celestia is going be a serious set back and we need something more shocking to counter it. Exposing who I am is irrelevant since I am sure you have realized that my illness will protect the knowledge I posses. When the time comes, torture or drugs will not be an option. The only information the High Council will get is what I chose to reveal." Erica finished, waiting patiently for Kiva to respond. "Are you sure about this." Kiva finally asked her. "I am, I have already informed William of my intent. Now before we move on to discussing Jason and Celestia, do you have any questions or concerns? It may not be possible for me to contact you again as I do not want to risk jeopardizing your position." Erica leaned back a bit and waiting patiently for Kiva to respond, after all it wasn't every day one was asked to do what she had just asked. It was one thing to expose Erica, but the other information she had given Kiva would be equally if not more shocking as well. Creating a ripple that would be, if she was lucky, even more disturbing than when the research in sector fourteen had been exposed. She continued to wait patiently, for Kiva to respond.
By the way, does anyone know where to get Mackwell? Or any other good alchemist? I want to make myself an Orichalum so I can equip it to my characters so I can hopefully beat the final boss..
Forget Mackwell or Orichalum, at this point you want the Boots of Prowess. I've already included information on what to do to refine them as well as were to go to get the inventor that you need, just read this post here: Post Those will be far better than the Orichalum due to the addition of both attack and defense. Though if you really want Mackwell
he's in Castle Aquaria in the library in the Sacred City of Aquios, but you'll need the Book of Prophecies 1 to get him to work for you. If you don't have it already it's in the Shrine of Kaddan. In the corridor right before the save point before you battled the main crystal boss the first time you were there. There is a wall with cracks, once you destroy the wall via disintegration ring, the room revealed has the book there in a treasure chest.

Finally, does anyone have any suggestions on what attacks to use. I don't know if there's a way to level up my stats, because as of now, I can only have a maximum of 15 attack slots filled. So that's like 2 moves and No Guard on. That makes it kind of tricky. The two moves I've been using are Blade of Fury and Dimension Door. I used to use BoF, Ariel slash (something like that) and side kick. Those worked well, but I couldn't have No Guard on. After reading what some people suggested, I figured it might be best to turn No Guard on. So I did.[/FONT']
15 slots is all you get, as for what attack to use, if you beef things up with the boots of prowess, the additional defense will make things easier so the attacks you use won't matter since the no guards keeps you from getting clobbered or rather from needing time to recover between blows. So you'll still get in quite a few hits. Though if you want you could get the Tri-Emblum's Aaryanna mentioned since that will reduce the damage you get quite a bit as well as protect you from instant kill attacks. Those help the battle to go easier as well.

All right, to get past the area where you use a Hauler:
First choose the "Steady" Hauler type. From the start of the Mines, set your speed to about 20 km/h and pass by the first stop. Turn left and then right though the gate. And by turn I am referring to when the arrows indicating a "Switch" appear at the top of the screen. You can stop here to recuperate stress or continue onward. It's a good idea to recuperate stress, so stop and then get back into the Hauler. Then when the option to turn comes up again turn left and then left again at the next choice, for a total of two left turns. Be careful around the falling rocks, by slowing down to 5 km/h you can completely avoid the first set and most of the second set of rocks. Then bump your speed to about 23-25 km/h to bulldoze through the next four gates. As soon as the "Switch" sign appears, turn left and then slow your Hauler down to about 20 km/h as you make the final left turn into the exit.
It might take a try or two since those last four gates can be tricky, but what ever you do, do not slow down for them since they catch on the Hauler and drag along side resulting in the Hauler collapsing. I haven't done that area in a while but somewhere between 23-25 km/h gets you through it quick enough so that your Hauler doesn't collapse from stress. I just don't remember the exact speed, but it was in that range.

Cecile wondered just how they would defend their world from the three races that had come, intent on conquering their home. Not that she didn't think they couldn't do it, no it was more that realistically, even she could see that it would be a fierce battle. And unlike the invaders, for them losing would mean that their home would be taken. Something that at all costs, had to be stopped. Cecile walked up to the door to the main conference room where the others were already preparing to respond to the threat. She pressed the button to alert the Commander that she was there and when the door opened she entered. Joining him as well as the others who were going over their defenses and strategy. "Well?" The Commander asked her when she entered the room. Cecile shook her head. "I'm sorry sir, they did not heed the order to leave this region of space." She did not bother to tell them that the Commander of the Merceri's had merely laughed at her. "I would have been surprised if they did. They do have a reputation of simply taking over habitable planets, regardless if they are inhabited or not." "Yes sir." Cecile replied. "Well no matter," he waved her over to where they were working on the defense plans. "We won't let them take our home. Besides we have the advantage." "How do you figure that sir?" Cecile asked. "It's simple, the greedy Lolloths, the bloodthirsty Argrs and the proud Merceri, as they are often called are divided. Each one intent on not only taking our world but on preventing the other from doing so. Not only must they attempt to overcome our defenses but guard against the other two forces as well. The fact that they are attempting to take over Earth without dealing with their enemies first will be their undoing. Not only that they underestimate how well trained our army is. We will not fall so easily." Cecile did not respond. But instead looked at the information displayed on the computer console in the middle of the table. They did have excellent defenses and as she noticed how things were being set up, she noticed a number of things that would surely surprise their enemies. She wished she did not have to fight. But since they failed to heed the warning, so be it. "Now," the Commander said causing everyone to look at him. "This is what we are going to do." Cecile listened and then even she smiled a bit. Oh this would be good. It was a pity she would not be able to see the expression of the arrogant Commander of the Merceri's once she realized what was happening.

I went back to playing today and I went to Peternia, but I didn't find Albel there.
Oh, was that you? Oh ****, I'm so sorry, I'd just been having some surgery done and couldn't get my fix and umm... well, yeah sorry. Next time, it'd be a good idea if you didn't wear white. That was totally the start of your troubles that day. You'll be happy to know I was discharged the next day though, and I've successfully avoided withdrawals ever since. :)
lol *pokes* Still it was rather sad. Probably the worse one I saw was when they had to strap one poor kid down since the moment their backs were turned he'd yank everything out. >_< I need to get my family and friends to stop getting sick and needing surgery! Though to be fair, most of the time I don't run into that, but the few times you do, it's kind of hard to forget. And in the end I've never understood it since I've never done illegal drugs or any form of drinking either. It's just not my thing.

Ummm...yeah, that was definitely interesting to read, if only to show just why taking illegal drugs is stupid. As for people on drugs being funny? I suppose it may look that way, and for all the more light usage and parties it just might be funny. But for all those lovely moments where I've been at someone's side while they were recovering from say surgery or something in a hospital. And ended up with some stupid junkie in the very next bed... Being stuck around someone who is out of their mind recovering from a bad episode or OD is hardly what I would consider funny. Sad and pathetic, but not funny. EDIT: Oh and before I forget, the one thing I learned real quick was to never wear a mostly white shirt while visiting said friend in the hospital, since their lovely roomie, in their state, couldn't tell that you weren't a nurse. And having some stupid junkie screaming at you to let them go home already was rather interesting to say the least. Or the ones that seemed to think tossing things at someone they mistook for a nurse would make things better somehow. Yeah, ever so funny. [/sarcasm]

We could go with our superhero alter-egos, minus the special powers bit. Not that we wouldn't have kick butt skills mind you. :p And even though Aaryanna_Mom is the only one to have posted so far, she's set it up for us to have an epic space battle if we choose. And she's even indicated that one of us contacted them and told them to shove off if you will. And her character made it clear they aren't going anywhere. We could go from there, have an epic battle in space or make it a dramatic invasion where we battle on the ground. Either one sounds like it will be fun if you ask me. Clobbering those damn aliens who think they can take over! :p I don't have time right now but I'll be back online later tonight. Since I say we get this show on the road! EDIT: Okay it's a bit delayed but here's my profile and since people seem to be dragging their feet I'm going to take the initiative and post. :p My Profile: Name: Cecile Ann Age: 30 (human years) Species/Job: Human (female) /officer in the Titanic Army Appearence: 5'6, reddish blond hair with blue eyes. Weapons: Heavy duty disruptor rifle. Personality: A bit indifferent and withdrawn. Dislikes displays of emotion as she feels they are a weakness for the enemy to exploit. Which is why she pretends that she does not care for those she works closely with. Alright I know it's short, but it should be enough. And since I don't have names for the rest of you I'll just leave that a tiny bit vague.

Jason had been relieved that the man interrogating both him and Celestia had believed him, but it had surprised him when he had insisted on knowing all about the program Silver One. Sandra and Jared, other than to insist it was a military program had never asked for the details of the game. But then at the time, they had already hacked into Celestia's systems and gotten a copy. So they already knew what was in it. And it was their refusal to accept that it was but a game that had resulted in their interrogations being so unpleasant when they had first been captured. But now they were somewhere else, Jason had his suspicions, but he couldn't be sure. Even though their interrogator had lots of questions for them, he hadn't told them anything. Even when they were transfered elsewhere via transport door, other than to be there to order them to go through, he never once offered any information as to who he was or what ship they were on. Though Jason was sure that he and Celestia had been on the Transcendence. His guess was that the new cell they had been transfered to was in sector one and if that were true, the only ship fast enough to have gotten here as quickly as it did would have to be a messenger ship. Other military vessels would have taken longer. In the end it didn't matter. Knowing wouldn't change the fact that they both were prisoners. He leaned back against the wall from his position of sitting on the bed in the cell, resisting the urge to bang his head on the wall behind him. ------------------------------------------------ Even though she had handed leadership of the resistance over to William, there were still far to many things that needed to be done. She was confident that William would do a good job but at the same time she was sad. It was looking like she would not live long enough to see any real changes. Though all that had happened in the past two years had resulted in a quite a bit of support for the resistance. She carefully shifted in the specially padded chair in her living quarters on sector one that had been made just for her, with easy access to her computer terminal and hand held computer since sitting at a regular desk was just to damn painful. She may have little time left but it didn't mean she couldn't take care of some things, especially after both Jason and Celestia had been captured and brought to sector one. Losing both of them was really going to hurt and now that they were here she knew just what to do to make their loss less terrible. She had originally planned on simply allowing William to slowly release the information she had given him, but now, especially since she was dying, she was going to take a different route. But to do that, she needed to speak to Kiva Salqarian. She could have just sent her an encrypted message, but that was not her style and could be easily intercepted. She already knew what Kiva's next assignment would be once her time off was over. And once she left she would lose the chance to speak with her. And realistically, using her position to speak to the one responsible for catching the two most wanted criminals would be expected since even with her disease she was still keeping up with things and even on occasion handling them as well. There was also the issue that bringing Kiva to her would mean she could use one of the locations for meetings that was free of any surveillance or recording devices, making it even more ideal since there would be no record of what was said and again, use of such things especially in regards to Jason and Celestia was expected. Once things were exposed, talking to Kiva would look like a move on her part to gather information for the resistance, and she was doing other things to make that a fact. Because in the end it was why she was doing it since she had another idea in mind that hopefully would work out. They would have no reason to think that she had met with her for another reason as well. And even then once the others knew who she was, they would learn nothing from her. It was rather ironic that the disease she was dying from would also protect those of the resistance. In her condition. Torture or drugs will kill her. They would not be able to force information from her like they had done to so many others. She finished what she was reading and then called her aid to her side. "What is it my lady?" He asked her. "I require a meeting with Kiva Salqarian. She will only be here in sector one for a week before heading out so arranging a meeting with her is to take priority over any other arrangements." "Did you wish to meet with her crew as well?" "No. Also since this will be classified, make sure that a secure room is cleared for the meeting as well." "I'll see to it at once my lady," He said before bowing and leaving. She waited until he was gone to lean back into her chair again. In the past she would have simply done all of that herself, but lately, she just didn't have the energy for all that needed to be done. A soft chime from her workstation reminded her that it was time for yet another treatment. With a grimace she got up. As much as she hated the treatments, she couldn't afford to die just yet.

Everyone else has already given some good advice, but another thing to keep in mind and this is from when I got my degree in college...But if you are going full time and you are finding that even with being dedicated and doing your homework you can't keep up. Sometimes it can be a good idea to drop a class. I've done this myself since some subjects are harder for me than others. Take English. It's much harder for me than other subjects and always seemed to require more time to do the homework. So anytime I was required to take it I always made sure to cut back a bit on the amount of classes since I knew I would need more time to complete the homework for it. So if you need to, don't feel like you have to finish a class just because you started it. It's not like you can't take it the next semester. ^_~ And another one, and this was a biggie for me. Starting a class only to realize that the teacher is a jackass. It's hard enough doing all your homework and studying, but to have an annoying teacher on top of that is no fun. After suffering through one history class with a teacher I positively hated. The next time I got someone like that I looked for the same class in a different time slot and switched. You can't always do that of course, but it's something to keep in mind.

2007DigitalBoy is right Rachmaninoff. You're too hard on yourself. I'm not into poetry and yet I found your's easy to read. It had me thinking about how for some silence is intolerable, that they feel lost and groundless unless they are around others. Anyway, seeing all the poetry here reminded me that I did write a poem over a year ago. So I'll put it up. Broken Love [PG] You say that He loves me But I know you don?t care I?m just another number One you can find anywhere You say His hand is reaching for mine But your face is turned away You?re hand is stretched out But only to take away You say that He is forgiving But you always hold a grudge From the time I was born It only takes a nudge You say He is all knowing And yet he is unknown There is no set path to follow And I find that I am all alone You say that He exists But your eyes do not see Everything depends On what you tell me So you say that He loves me But I no longer care I refuse to be a number And follow you everywhere So you say His hand is reaching for mine I will pull mine away My hand is mine And I chose to pull away So you say that He is forgiving I refuse to hold a grudge It?s true that I was born And I refuse to budge So you say He is all knowing I don?t know if He can be known I will find my own way For each of us is alone So you say that He exists I will use my own eyes I will no longer depend On your hatred and lies So is He even there? I do not know But one thing is certain I want you to go This is something I wrote in response to one of my usual fights in regards to religion that my mom and I had, though this was in response to a fight over a year and a half ago. My Mom and I have always had opposing views regarding religion, she believed in it and I had lots of questions. And then eventually I no longer believed in it or rather I wanted to find my own path but she couldn?t accept that.

There's also the unfortunate reminder that this region has been at war internally for an unbelievably long time. Fighting is almost a way of life there, and in fights like these, people die. You can't plan ahead for every car- or suicide-bomb or convoy ambush, and because you can't, more people will die. It's unavoidable. And I am inclined to agree that walking away is not advisable. Nevermind that it might possibly sound like admitting defeat; I could care less. You win some, you lose some. But keep in mind that to the Islamic nation we are still viewed as a Christian power ? as infidels ? and we will eventually be attacked again.
The problem is as you put it in the first part, they've been at this for a very long time. It's not like we can somehow bring peace to a region that hasn't had peace for an unbelievably long time. I know people say that the majority of Americans wanted us to go there, but for those of us who were not among the Americans who wanted it, we feel it's time we look at how we can pull out of a fight that isn't ours to begin with. About the only difference now is we can be more vocal without worrying about other Americans getting angry over our perceived lack of support. Just as some can't comprehend how we want to withdraw, on the flip side some of us don't understand why others were so for it to begin with.

All right, just a quick notice. We are going to be moving ahead or rather not waiting for a relevant post from Mariskah. I've talked to her and recently she got commissioned to design some logos and pictures for t-shirts. So until she gets those designs drawn and finished she just doesn't have the time to really devote to being a part of the story. So for now she is officially written out of the story, Aaryanna_Mom will be doing this in either her next post or the one after that. Both Sara and Glen are going to be left behind at Earth instead of going to sector one with everyone else. Mariskah may rejoin the story later but won't know for a while if it's going to work out or not. Regardless, it won't really affect the story all that much since leaving her characters behind won't affect any of the objectives I have for the rest of you. And speaking of objectives, once we get past the part of everyone traveling to sector one I'll be handing those out. With the exception of Takuya since your characters will arrive in sector one before everyone else. So I'll be sending you objectives in a day or two since you'll need your's sooner than everyone else.

Jason couldn't help but cringe when the cell door opened to reveal the man who had been with the woman who had stunned him and Celestia when they had been captured at the base. They certainly weren't wasting any time as he refused to answer Jason's only question as to who he was and then proceeded to bluntly explain how refusal to cooperate would not be tolerated, resulting in things being unpleasant for both of them. And when he had said: In a way, I hope you do try something. I'd particularly enjoy an excuse to spend some time with you, Celestia. And Jason felt Celestia shudder he knew just why they were still together and he cursed himself for being so stupid as to not realize it. Why else would they even bother to do as he was, taking both of them together to an interrogation room, one that even though the equipment seemed to be far more advanced than what had been on the Crimson was still something that haunted him and gave him nightmares. No, it was all to clear as he secured them in the chairs, it was simple. They were going to use the threat of harming the other one to force them to cooperate. Jason wondered, as he saw Celestia's frightened expression, if this man realized that he had already won? He had already seen Celestia tortured before when they had first been captured by Commander Sandra and Jared. He didn't want to see it again. And what would be the point? Since he already knew that he lacked the ability to resist the drugs they would use. But when he went on to explain how the bounty on their heads was the largest ever offered and that he wanted to know why as well as informing them that he had already gotten information from their hand held computers Jason was a bit speechless. Unsure as what to say. Didn't he already know? But then as he thought about it he realized that he probably didn't. After all William had once told him that news of them being responsible for writing the program that had disabled the Tempest and the Crimson as well as the other programs they had written was mostly spread by the resistance. He had told him that for the most part the High Council suppressed the knowledge that so-called inferior races were actually smart. But when the man told them to get started, the last thing Jason expected was for Celestia to burst into tears. "What's wrong with you? Why can't you just leave my people alone? What you're doing is wrong!" She cried. Jason felt tears forming in his own eyes as he saw her breaking down and the look in the man's eyes was all it took for him to speak. Regardless of what Celestia said, he would do what was needed to get the answers he wanted. And if he didn't say something he would start with Celestia. "It's probably because of Silver One," Jason said. "Or at least that started it, when they discovered that program." He said miserably. "Explain." The man ordered him. "I'm sure I don't need to explain how your people spend anywhere from ten to fifty years checking out a world before you take it over right?" Jason asked. "Correct." He said. "About a year and half ago when the Crimson was making final checks before ordering the invasion of Earth they detected Celestia's Silver One program, a program," Jason said bitterly, "That was just a holographic video game to test her newest development in making holographic programs feel solid and real. But Commander Sandra thought it was a military program designed to prepare Earth against an invasion since it was about the player stopping aliens with silver colored eyes taking over." Jason paused a moment and then continued. "She thought this since all the details of the game involving your people, the uniforms, the ships...all of it was accurate, even the energy signature for disabling your nervous system. It wasn't until later after capturing and interrogating both of us, that they realized the resistance had set up groups on Earth over thirty years ago. Running children through the enhanced learning programs you have in an attempt to advance Earth's technology enough so they could resist being invaded. But the resistance thought it didn't work and quit, erasing the memories of those they had run through the learning program, including Celestia. But her father is a Versilan and removing her memories didn't work completely. She didn't know where her ideas for the game came from at the time though." "Continue," the man ordered when Jason paused for a bit. Jason looked briefly at Celestia who was still crying before looking back. "They decided to test both of us, to see what we could do, ordering us to write programs for them, ordering us to take ones that had never been finished and to finish them. Together, both of us did as they asked. Making the programs work. After several months they decided to ship Celestia to sector one to work in one of their labs where I," Jason choked a bit. "Was registered as being Jared's property and was due to be handed over to him." He paused for a moment to gain control, shoving thoughts of Jared out of his mind as best as he could. "What we didn't know was that the computer specialist on the Crimson, Nathan, was a member of the resistance who had been sending all the programs we had completed to their leaders. When the time came for Celestia to be sent to sector one, the resistance hijacked the task force sent to pick us up and then under the guise of sending updates to both the Crimson and the Tempest, instead sent the program we had written, erasing the computer banks of both battleships. Disabling them completely, enabling them to open transport doors and rescue Celestia, Daniel and myself. They also took Kim who given the choice joined the resistance as well. I can only imagine that the reason the bounty is so high is that the High Council intends to continue with their original plan of forcing Celestia and I to work for them as well as to hand over the improvements we have made on existing programs since we joined the resistance, such as the transport doors." Jason finished. He waited to see what the man's reaction would be, wondering if he would even believe him. Jason looked to Celestia who seemed to have finally quit crying. I told him the truth. I hope he believes me. Jason thought.

Wow, I love how people can just stray off into random conversations here lol. Very entertaining to read
True they can, however, when you start getting too far off topic then it's best to take it to pm's at that point. So if you and The Heart wish to discuss signatures then please do take it to pm's, thanks. ^_~ As for the actual topic: 1. Any fads here? Worshiping Desbreko is always in style as well as following along with Otakupedia as it's great fun to read up on all that's happened to this site over the years. 2. Who are the most famous members? There's really far to many to list here, since there are a lot of members that stand out. And who's famous really depends on who you ask. Or who you know for that matter. 3. How long have you been here/Myotaku? I joined myOtaku and OtakuBoards on the same day: 02/28/05 So I've been here for just a little over two years. Though honestly it seems like I've been here far longer.

Well the story you wrote is definitely quite grim and the ending... *shudder* It was certainly interesting in that it held my attention the whole time I was reading it. The whole thing had a weird surreal feeling to it as if it was hell instead of just a dream. As for the poem. poetry really isn't my thing so I don't know what to say about it. Now in keeping with the thread, here's a short story of mine: The Hit [PG] He had always been good at his job and today was no exception. When the order was given to rig and blow the corporation he called in his partner and in no time they were at their destination. With his teammate covering his back he slipped out of the car and into the building with the small computer he had brought just for the job. A few minutes to place the explosives, eliminate any resistance and he was back out in the car. Nothing could have been simpler. ?That didn?t take long,? his partner said as he climbed into the car. ?You?re getting sloppy, if the charges don?t work don?t come crying to me.? He poked his partner in the shoulder; ?You sound like my mother, just take me over there,? he indicated the outbuilding, ?And cover me while I trigger the charges.? A moment later he climbed out of the car and entered the building going immediately to the windows facing the one rigged to blow. There was already equipment there carelessly scattered in front of the window, indicating some other agent was up to something. He ignored it, as that would have to wait until after the target was dealt with. With his other small computer in hand he swiftly entered the code, smiling when it was answered by the building going up in smoke. He closed it and then moved towards the door. ?Hey idiot, you?d better hurry or I?ll leave you behind, there?s trouble out here.? His partner said on the small two-way communicator he had in his pocket. He pulled it out. ?You leave me behind and no pay for you my friend.? He bantered right back at him. But at the sound of a woman screaming a declaration of vengeance and he knew things were going to get ugly. ?What do you want me to do? The brute out here and his lackeys are going to be a problem and you?ll have to go through them to get to me.? His partner stated. He looked out the window by the exit at the woman who stood behind hired help. But within seconds they were swiftly cut down. He sighed, as he hated amateurs. And the brute of a man that they had faced was far beyond their skills. As well as those who were standing to the side of him. He checked his own ammo in the two guns he had. He only had a few shots left. Hell. ?Seems like I don?t have a choice,? he winced, knowing it would appear as if he was helping the unknown woman, but unless he intended to shoot her himself she was already running for the door where he was.. ?Back me up and leave ugly to me.? He finally told his partner. ?Roger.? And like the trained professional he was his partner didn?t take long to draw the others away, leaving the woman who had run into the building where he was in an attempt to escape once her help had been killed and the brute who was too smart to be fooled by such an obvious distraction. She hadn?t even noticed that he was there as she was facing the door sobbing in terror as the man entered the room. ?Amateurs such as yourself have no place here lady,? he snarled as he shoved her out of the way and took aim and fired. Accurate as always his bullets hit home but the brute only staggered and continued towards him, firing a single shot. One that with his ability to see the bullets did not connect as he was out of the way before it got to him. Damn he thought. The brute was wearing body armor and he was out of shots now but he aimed his guns at the man anyway, knowing he would see through the bluff. ?Interesting,? the brute rumbled with his dark raspy voice. ?You are correct, amateurs such as her have no place here, you on the other hand do belong.? The brute raised his gun and pointed it my head. ?Humor me.? He commanded. ?I am only under contract to kill one of you, which one should it be?? He grimaced at the question. Knowing that the answer was the woman. Knowing that unless his partner showed up soon the brute could do as he pleased and kill both of them. ?Failure to reply will result in two deaths.? The brute warned. ?It does not guarantee that only one will occur,? he shot back. The brute laughed. ?True, but unlike her I am a man of my word and if I say only one will die, then only one will. So I ask you again, which one should it be?? He looked into his eyes but they revealed nothing. He sighed and sank to his knees, tossing his guns on the floor in the brute?s direction. ?She is not my target and my partner interfered with yours. It seems that my time to die has come.? He closed his eyes and waited for the shot. But it did not come instead he heard the sound of slow deliberate footsteps approaching and then he felt a strong hand grab the hair on the left side of his face. Then that same hand forced his head to the side and against the wall pinning him in place. He did not resist nor did he stifle the sob of regret that escaped his lips. He continued to keep his eyes closed and did not reach up to grab at the hand that held him in place. He did not jump when the hard edge of the muzzle of a gun was pressed into the top of his head, cold and unforgiving. His ability to see bullets would not help him at this range. ?I will do this with one shot.? He heard the brute say. ?You have earned that much.? Another sob escaped his lips but he did not care. He was human and no one wanted to die. The sound of the woman crying and sobbing was out of place and it grated on his nerves. It was a shame that he was going to die and she was going to live. But then life was not fair. A shot rang out and darkness followed? ----------------------------- I'm not really sure where that story came from, its just one of those things that I just sat down and wrote. And for something that came out of no where I suppose it's alright. Though maybe one of these days I'll expand on it. Or at the very least improve it since it doesn't really have much of a back story to it at all. ^_~

I just picked up this game about a week ago, and I'm already completely addicted to it. Its great fun since it's very similar to Tales of Symphonia and yet it's got elements about it that I like a whole lot better. For starters, the battle system though similar with how it's in real time and you have special moves that are accessible via shortcuts, is a bit more complex than Tales of Sympohnia since it has a whole range of special button combinations that your character eventually learns to protect against certain types of attacks. Though it also has a semi-auto mode which is great since I never seem to remember what combination protects against what, but still if you really want you can spend a fair amount of time getting all of the moves down pat. I also love how you learn what's known as a free movement deal giving your character the ability to move freely instead of only charging the enemy so you can literally run behind them to attack. And being able to trigger when your character goes into OverDrive is great fun since if you are surround by enemies the resulting release of energy sends them all flying. Well other than bosses that is. It doesn't have the best voice acting, but it's not the worst either and a number of the characters are rather funny. I particularly like Jade and Guy and even Luke is a bit lovable now that I'm further into the plot. And Mieu is simply adorable. lol It's also got music that I enjoy which is always a plus. The story so far has been interesting enough that I haven't been able to completely predict what's going to happen and the very nature of how the world is set up was not only surprising but is a concept that I find very fascinating as well. Anyway, anyone else currently playing this? And if so what's your take on it? ^_^

I don't have problems with people saying my name wrong, what I do have a problem with is people instantly changing it to a nickname. It's like it's too hard to say Elizabeth, they have to call me Liz. :animesigh So my answer to that was to start going by Beth, which I did when I was twelve. And so far no one has managed to mess up Beth. I've gone by Beth for 24 years now so in many ways I don't even consider Elizabeth my name anymore, other than on legal papers and such. I've often thought of legally changing it to Beth since that's how I think of myself. My last name doesn't get mangled either, but as for spelling it. No one every gets it right. lol

You are correct that was one of the relevant posts, however as you mentioned, such a thing is easily done in a flashback so there's no reason why the story can't continue. I was already planning on doing so in the next day or two since other than the post with Sara and Glen and their reaction over finding out the base was found as well as Jason and Celestia being captured, and a few other small things this part is pretty much finished. As for Mariskah not being around, I know she's been following along even if she hasn't signed in, but I'll be sure to mention it to her since it does give the wrong impression to everyone else. And your right it is pointless to wait when it seems that a member is not participating. I'll be sure to take care of it. ^_~

"This is useless!" Anna said with disgust as she shut the laptop down. "There's nothing here, no personal files, just homework and video games." The others looked over at her each of them thinking the same thing. They had hoped to find something on Drake?s laptop but so far they had seen nothing out of the ordinary. "If there?s nothing on the laptop then perhaps we should search his locker?" Alexandra wondered. "Maybe he has some disks there that we could look at." Anna smirked a little, "That?s a good idea, I know, these two," She indicated both Zeke and Cody with a wave of her hand. "Hide all their naughty stuff on disks instead of keeping it on their laptops hard drive." A statement that was met with protests until they saw Anna winking at them. "Not me," Cody said innocently. "But if Drake had something to do with Moebius disappearing you can bet he wouldn?t leave it on his laptop for just anyone to find. So lets go check his locker." The others nodded in agreement; Anna slipped the laptop into her backpack as they headed towards the school. She put the backpack on and then Anna reached out and grabbed Cody's right arm. "I'm going to see if I can overhear the teachers so don't let me stumble all right?" Cody reached over and took her hand in his left one. "Of course." He said gallantly. Anna ignored the looks from Kathy, Bethany, Alexandra and Sergei. Zeke of course just ignored it since he knew that Anna couldn't focus on walking somewhere while listening at the same time. At least not yet. They were almost to the school when Anna called out for them to stop. The group crowed around her curious as to what she had overheard. "The teachers are in the main conference room near the Principals office. They think something bad has happened to Moebius, they're concerned that he may be dead! That's why they told all the students!" "You've got to be kidding!" Sergei stated his eyes wide. "I mean who'd want to kill Moebius? Sure he's annoying and all, but he's still a pretty decent guy." "I don't know," Anna said with a shake of her head. "And the teachers just left so no one's discussing it anymore." She bit her lower lip. "I must have missed the part where they were talking about why they think he's dead. All I caught was a part where they were arguing over the decision to tell everyone. One of them at the end said, it's pointless, Moebius is probably already dead." "Damn, if someone really killed Moebis we've got to do something." Zeke shook his head in disgust. "I mean, if people start showing up dead they'll shut this place down. It's hard enough having powers without the rest of the world thinking we're all freaks that need to be put down." Anna let go of Cody's arm, "All right, lets hurry then." Quickly she took off. It was bad enough that this was her senior year and that once she was done she would be sent elsewhere, but there was no way in hell she was going to let something like this force them to leave sooner. She was so focused on heading for the locker that it wasn't until the others called after her to slow down that she realized that she was leaving them behind. Anna paused and waited for them to catch her. "Sorry about that." She apologized. Then a few minutes later they had found Drake's locker. It was easy to know which one was his since all lockers due to the students having unique needs had their name on it. It only took them a few minutes to find it. Anna started to reach forward to cut the lock when Cody beat her to it. "Allow me," He said with a smile.

Gaiaonline.com I have seen in there forums gaia marriges you cant say that is not pathetic there getting fake marrige IS the most pathetic thing I have ever seen online next to cyber sex.
*points to her signature* Thank you for failing to understand something that is merely done for fun and for calling me pathetic as well. :animesigh Honestly do you even get the point of these fake marriages? As others have said, they're just for fun and nothing more. What's pathetic is your failure to understand a joke between friends and taking things out of context since most people who have fake online marriages aren't serious about it at all, myself included. The same is true of online dating. It's mostly just for fun. So try to lighten up a little here.
i agree just kids wanting to have an online girl or boyfriend thats what im talking about
So what? What's wrong with it, again most of the time it's just for fun so who cares? I fail to understand why it even bothers you in the first place.
Would you back your friend up if he or she was saying I got a special someone .youll ask who it is theyll say i dont know. seriously having nothing but strict online relationships is not good if you fially get a real one your confidence will go down. I really dont see how I would back anyone up for dating omeone online and never meeting them. I wouldnt want to date anyone who might be a guy im a straight guy and a guy acting like a blond girl just creeps me out.
I can and I would. I've been around long enough that I know people who met online and eventually met in real life and got married. And to this day are still married. Happily I might add. Dating strictly online isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. And contrary to what you think they can and do develop into real relationships. And worrying about someone turning out to be a guy is pointless. After all there are guys in real life who dress up as women and date other guys without telling them. That sort of thing is not limited to the internet you know.
