When the doors to the Conference Room had been blasted open and the troops had entered, one of them, a woman, had instantly taken aim and shot both him and Celestia. Jason had hoped that they wouldn't realize just who they were and kill them, but when he first woke up in what had to be a cell, he knew that they would not have risked killing him. The bounty on his head as well as Celestia's was higher than anyone in the Versilan Empire. And that bounty was for a live capture only. Daniel had told him that those serving in the military were allowed to collect on a bounty so they wouldn't dare risk killing him, not when the money offered for capturing him was so high. It had been a long time since he had been stunned and it took a moment for the rest of the disorientation to fade enough for him to sit up. It took him a moment to realize that Celestia was lying on the floor next to him. "Celestia!" He moved as quickly as he could to check her. Confused that she was even in the same cell with him. Jason no longer had his hand held computer so he couldn't scan her but she seemed to be alright and as he picked her up to move her to the bed she began to stir, opening her eyes as he set her down. "Jason?" Celestia was clearly confused and then understanding hit and tears formed in her eyes as she struggled to sit up. Gently Jason helped her and then sat down next to her holding her protectively when she moved over to be next to him. "I don't understand," She said tearfully. "Why didn't they separate us? I thought Daniel said it was standard procedure." "I don't know." Jason replied unsure of what to say and not wanting to voice the thought that they would be seperated. He could feel tears in his own eyes and he did nothing to stop them. After all that had happened, they were back where they had started nearly a year ago, prisoners of the Versilan Empire. He wondered if Daniel had been caught as well. At least Sara and Glen would have been safe since they had not been at the base when the attack happened. This is all my fault. He thought. If he had not gone back for their hand held computers they might have made it before the third security doors malfunctioned. "I'm sorry." Jason finally said. "What for?" "If I hadn't gone back for our hand held computers we wouldn't have been stopped by the security doors that messed up." Jason replied, miserably. "There's no way of knowing that Jason," Celestia said. "What if it also triggered the fourth doors? Even if you hadn't gone back we wouldn't have made it through them in time." "But..." Jason started to say. "No buts Jason," Celestia said as she hugged him tightly. "I just hope the deletion routine finished before they found our computers." Jason didn't know what to say and neither did Celestia. He continued holding her his thoughts racing. He didn't want to think about what would be next. He remembered all to well being interrogated before and with all that had happened he was sure they would do so again. They would want to know all about the new programs he and Celestia had written since they had joined the resistance. Celestia tightened her grip on Jason as she fought the urge to cry again and lost. It was her worst nightmare come true. They would interrogate her and then once they were done, they would take Jason from her and lock her away for good in some laboratory, forcing her to work for them. Jason just held her as she cried. He didn't need her to tell him what had upset her. He didn't know why they were being kept together, but once they were done interrogating him and her, unless things had changed she would be shipped off to sector one and he would be handed over to Jared. A thought that terrified him and had him in tears just thinking about it.
  2. That works perfectly Rachmaninoff. I was hoping you would be adding Kerstin instead of Mike. She just seems like she'll be a much more fun and interesting character in the long run. ^_~ Anyway, once a few more relevant posts are made I'll get things headed towards the next set of events. 3. Welcome to OtakuBoards vizard, When creating a thread it's important to remember that creating ones that don't spark conversation should generally be avoided. Favorite threads, asking what people's favorite whatever is, are rarely allowed since like your opening post they are often spammy and do little to generate a good discussion. 4.
I want to know what is with people dating online. Kids having girlfriends or boyfriends online is the dumbest and most pathetic thing i have ever heard of. Besides you dont know if that guy is a sex offender who wants your address.
Lets take this a bit further shall we? I want to know, what's with people dating at all? After all whether you meet them online or not they could still be a sex offender. Meeting someone face to face is no guarantee that they won't be say a molester, murderer or rapist. Take rape for example: 84 percent of those raped knew their attacker. Knowing them in real life didn't make it any easier for them to realize that their 'date' was a rapist. Source There's nothing pathetic about meeting someone online, nor is it stupid either. Like any other aspect of dating it simply requires being more cautious since it's easier for someone you have yet to meet to lie to you. You don't have facial and body language to go on like you do when you meet face to face. And even those are unreliable. In the end if someone wants to meet or date someone they met online all they need to do is be aware of the potential dangers like is the person married? Or do they ask for money? You can easily find tips on what to avoid. Tips Or you can simply avoid attempting to meet people online. Remember, if being able to determine if someone is a sex offender was that simple, most of the crimes wouldn't occur since people would avoid those capable of such an act and never date or meet them in the first place.
  5. And now my post in regards to the attack is up. I'm sure it's quite clear at this point as to why I agreed with Rachmaninoff's assessment that the resistance is totally screwed at this point. Things are going to start getting interesting! :catgirl: *pokes indifference* That's your cue to sail in here and cackle evilly since I know your characters will be very happy. lol

Something was bothering Daniel. Celestia was sure of it. She didn't know what, but her instincts were screaming at her that something was upsetting him. But when she had tried to pin him down on it he had shrugged it aside as being concerned about getting everything set up. Though she wondered if it was because he was still annoyed with her for sending the update with the transmissions to Darren on the Creator. Either way he had at least promised her that only a few more days and then he would be back at the base as everything would be ready. It hadn't been easy to reorganize everyone after the attacks they had done. Though they had done some serious damage, quite a few safe houses had been found and quite a few people had died that day. She couldn't imagine just what went into deciding who and where people were placed as well as who to put in charge. Celestia had no command experience at all. Still she would be glad when he was finally finished, she hated to see him working so hard that he looked exhausted. Even when he had come back earlier, other than to briefly check on both her and Jason he had immediately headed over to where some of the equipment that ran the transport doors were located. It was almost dinner time, and she was thinking that it would be a good idea to finish up and head over to drag Daniel away from his work since she knew he was bad about forgetting to stop and eat. Decided, she shut down the terminal she was working at in the conference room just off the Command Center and turned to talk to Jason. But she didn't even get a chance to speak as the harsh glare of the base's alarm system went off, bathing everything in a red light. Without a word, both of them immediately got up and ran into the Command Center to see what had triggered the alarm. There was barely contained chaos in the main room and as Celestia moved to ask what had happened, the officer on duty pulled up the information on the screen showing that the sensors had picked up a power surge. One that was not only close to the base but underground as well. A split second later a communication popped up on the main viewer, down in the corner of the main screen. It was Daniel. "What happened?" He demanded. "I'm checking right now sir, it seems that there was a power surge in the ground outside of the base. I'm locating it right now." Jason and Celestia just stood there watching as he pulled up more information by using the other sensors. Then as the information came back on what had caused the power surge three more spots showed up in red, moving quickly towards the base at the same time the first spot did. "Damn!" The officer swore. "The surge was caused by a drone Commander! There are four of them, heading for the base at full speed!" "How long until impact?" The officer didn't respond immediately as he was already requesting more information. Information that moment later flashed back on the screen as a count down started. "Impact in 90 seconds, they're loaded with explosives sir!" "Sound the evacuation immediately and then get the hell out of there! All of you!" Daniel ordered. A moment later the emergency evacuation alarm began to sound. "Daniel!" Celestia started to say. "Not now Celestia! You and Jason need to get over to the transportation area immediately, those drones are are going to hit before you can get here. So there's no time to talk!" He closed the transmission. Celestia turned to head for the transport area only to look in surprise at Jason who was running towards the side conference room. "What are you doing?" "Grabbing our hand held computers!" He yelled back. "We can't let the military get the information on them." Then after what seemed like an eternity but was in reality only thirty seconds he was back, both computers in hand. Without hesitation both of them began to make a mad dash for the transport area where Daniel was located. They were about half way there when the base shuddered from the impact of the drones which had exploded upon contact. A split second later the third set of security doors slammed into place blocking their path. "What the hell!" Jason pounded on the door. "What are you guys thinking? Open the damn security doors!" Her mind thinking quickly, Celestia realized that no one had triggered the doors. "We have to go back to the Command Center Jason! One of the drones must have destroyed part of the relay system along the south wall when it hit, triggering the doors! If we don't override it manually we won't be able to get to the transport area!" "But!" "No time to argue! If we don't hurry they'll catch us!" Celestia turned and ran for the Command center, only to find when they got there that the officer had also returned and was working on manually releasing the third set of doors. "What are you doing? Get back to the doors! I'll open them from here!" But Celestia was not paying attention as a sight that made her heart catch in her throat was on the screen. When the evacuation notice had been sounded, the screen had split into over a dozen sections each showing what was happening from the vantage point of several security cameras. When they had left other than those who were evacuating there was nothing else, but now, she could clearly see that troops had entered the base and were swiftly moving to cut everyone off, stunning anyone who wasn't fast enough. They moved with a speed and sureness that was frightening. But what had terrified her was one group in particular. One that in the brief time they had taken to head back to the Command Center to manually open the security doors was now between them and the transport area and they were heading straight for their location. She knew it was useless but she reached over and triggered the first set of security doors. The ones meant for securing the Command Center. The officer started to protest until he looked up and saw what was on the screen. "Shit!" He swore even as he started pulling up the screen to enter the command to destroy the computers. "Get into the side conference room, both of you. I'll take care of this." "What about the codes? I thought only Daniel had them." Celestia protested. "No, he gave them to me the other day so that I could take care of things should he not be here. Now quickly! once I destroy the computers those doors won't work anymore." "No!" Celestia cried tears running down her face. "Idiot!" The officer snapped at her. "Both of you need to run the deletion routines for your hand held computers! Those doors aren't worth much but they'll buy you a little extra time!" Celestia didn't resist as Jason grabbed her and took her into the conference room, locking the door behind them. Then once he was inside he did as the officer requested, starting the deletion routine for both of their hand held computers. Then he set them under the main table and out of immediate sight. He grabbed Celestia and moved over to the farthest spot from the doors and sank to the floor holding her tightly as she cried, tears running down his own cheeks as well. They had nothing to take their own lives with and nothing to use to stop those who were coming. A moment later the lights switched to emergency ones as the explosion destroying the base's computers was triggered causing the walls to shudder a bit. Then Jason and Celestia could hear another explosion as someone blasted their way into the Command Center. Terrified they watched the doors to the conference room when moments later they heard people moving outside of it. They were out of time.
  7.
This thread has seriously knocked the wind out of me. I'm going to have to take a week-long break from OB or something, some sort of breather; a chance to reconcile with the fact that so many of you actually prefer other pastry items to pie. Or don't like pie at all. Or haven't ever even had pie. Seriously, guys. Cake?
Hehe, I don't know about the others, but I've definitely had plenty of pie, most of the time I make it myself no less. But hey, on the flip side I can understand what you are saying, after all...Seriously...Pie? :p Though to be fair, pecan pie is definitely every bit as good as cake. Especially when I make it myself. Good stuff!
  8.
I don't know bout that, I rather enjoyed your posts back during Labyrinth. That was really the only example I had of your RPing before since I don't really follow along with Silver One (ducks and hides), :p.
Thanks. ^_^ And seeing that other than to glance at the ones you have done on occasion, there's certainly no need to duck and cover. ^_~ As for Silver One, I owe quite a lot to the talented people who joined it and keep it going. I'm going to be sad once it's finally done since it's been so much fun! ^_^
Teenage angst = Zeke and Cody falling for Anna? Cody covers it up by checking out lots of girls, and Zeke by telling himself he hasn't found 'the one' yet. I'm sure Sandy will give us a twist involving conflict, which is when these feelings can be uncovered? Also, hope that post was okay Beth! I hope that was an okay opening for Anna.
I'm rather curious as to what the twist will actually be. As for the opening, it worked perfectly. ^_^ I hope you two don't mind that I put all of us off somewhere with Cody telling the others about funny mishaps in the school. That's the sort of thing that cheers Anna up. I figure either one of you can simply take it from there.
  9. Anna couldn't help but smile as Ezekiel handed her a dead flower with a flourish. Carefully she took it and held on to it. Even if she preferred live flowers she knew he meant well and it was his power after all, being able to kill a plant with a single touch, and in a way it did have a strange beauty to it. At least when he killed it, other than the black color it looked just like any dried preserved flower would. Though it wasn't exactly dry. It was then that she noticed that though Ezekiel was carrying their bag with their books and such for class, Cody was not. It didn't take much to figure out that he was planning on cutting class. Cody was like that, making up his mind about something and simply doing it. A guess that was shortly confirmed. "Zeke and I are going to grab some snacks and take off," He said grinning. "Care to join us?" Anna thought about it, her grades had been terrible lately, earning her stern lectures from the teachers. But no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't seem to muster up enough enthusiasm to even care. Even this morning, she was doing as she always did, heading for class out of habit. Anna knew that she would spend most of the time thinking about other things instead of listening. "Come on, it'll be fun Anna." Ezekiel said when Anna did not reply immediately. It would earn her detention or extra homework, but that didn't matter. Anna hadn't been doing much of that lately anyway, what was another assignment or two when you weren't going to do them anyway? She made up her mind, smiling slightly. "Okay." She said as she joined them in walking towards the cafeteria. Sort of paying attention to the different topics they were discussing and yet not. In no time they had secured some snacks and were headed towards one of their favorite spots, or at least one of Anna's favorite spots. An older garden shed made of brick with a flat roof that was perfect for chatting since one could simply climb on top and take a seat. Giving one a view of the school grounds and yet being just high enough that those on the ground wouldn't see you. Anna had as always been feeling a bit down, but that soon vanished as Cody started off on telling them about some of the more funny mishaps among the students due to their powers. She couldn't help but giggle at the thought of the prim and proper math teacher being soaked in milk when someone failed to levitate it properly, resulting in the whole thing landing on the teachers head. She sighed contentedly, if only time would stand still, she didn't want to finish school and move on. Until she had been sent here she had never had friends. Quickly she pushed the thought aside. Anna didn't want to spoil a perfectly good morning of goofing off. She smiled as Cody started off on another funny story.
  10. No worries Ezekiel I know you were going from a team spirit point of view. To be honest all of you kind of intimidate me with how good you are at doing RPG's. I enjoy it but English and grammar has never been my strong point and I can clearly see the difference between what you guys write and what I do. >_< I have good reading comprehension skills, it's a pity it doesn't easily move over into my writing ability! Anyway, as for the twist...I haven't been in high school in forever! Still it's something one never forgets. lol Name: Anna Stacy Age: 17 (Senior) Appearance: 5'7, with reddish brown hair and green eyes. She's very athletic and has a trim build but tends to hide it in baggy jeans and a similar baggy plain shirt. Power: Anna has the ability to control sound. Giving her the ability to hear things far away as well as concentrating it into a type of sonic wave capable of punching holes through steel. The only problem, when she's upset she has a hard time keeping it under control. Personality: A tiny bit shy and withdrawn, other than with her friends she has made since coming to the school. Many of the students are afraid of her since when she first came and was targeted by a set of bullies she lost control of her power and nearly killed them. She's extremely protective and fiercely loyal to those she considers her friends. And though she did well enough at first with her grades, they have since dropped as she's been a bit depressed that once her senior year is over she'll be sent elsewhere if further training is needed. Okay, I hope that works. ^_~ I don't have time for a post right now, but I'll be sure to work on one later today.

Both Jason and Celestia had been taking advantage of Daniel's absence to make use of the workstations in the conference room just off the Command Center. The accommodation's were much nicer for work than what was in the Command Center and the additional privacy made working all that more fun since they could sit closely together without getting teased by the others they had come to know since they had been on Earth. Not that Celestia minded being teased, but sometimes it was nice to work sitting right next to Jason since she found his presence soothing. Daniel it seemed was concerned that it was only a matter of time before they found the base and to that effect he had been leaving the base for several days now, organizing the resistance so that it could operate without the base. As well as preparing some of the more remote safe houses for them to simply hide in as well. Or so he had told her and Jason when she has asked him what he was up to. Celestia hoped that he was wrong, but then they had found two of the bases already and when the Elite Specialist had returned, or rather the ship had, she had been startled to realize that the name had changed from the Catalyst to the Transcendence when the information from the hacked update system had come back. Something that had confused her until she realized by checking the sensors more carefully was due to it being a different ship. But other than to determine that it was slightly larger than the previous ship the sensors didn't detect anything else. "Do you think Daniel is still mad that we used the update to send Darren those transmissions between him and his sister?" She asked him when her attention wandered from what they had been working on. "I doubt it, usually Daniel doesn't stay angry over things that can't be changed." "True, it's just that," Celestia grimaced. "I didn't think about it letting them know we managed to get past such a high level of security. As much as I wanted to send him the information. I kind of feel like an idiot for doing so." Jason turned slightly to face her, "Don't let it bother you, even if I had realized that we bypassed such high security, I still would have sent it." Celestia smiled warmly, "I know, that's what I love about you." Jason eyebrow arched upwards, "Is that all you love me for?" He teased. "Oh I'm sure I can think of other things," She said mischievously. Only to giggle when Jason reached over and tickled her until laughing she begged him to stop. With a contented sigh she leaned into him as he put his right arm around her shoulders. "What I really want is for this to be over." She reached under her tunic pulling out the gold chain that had her ring on it. "I want to have a real wedding instead of our simple vows to each other." Jason reached up with his left hand fingering the chain that he wore with his ring on it as well. "I know, me too. It's a shame that Versilans don't do weddings like we do. It seems rather boring to simply agree to having one's status tied to another person. Well other than those of the nobility or the High Council. Still their ceremony is rather drab and dull since the bride doesn't even bother to get dressed up." "Oh, I don't know, some of the uniforms those of the military wear do look nice." She said with a wink. "Not anywhere as nice and beautiful as you will look in a dress. Though truth be known you look beautiful no matter what you wear." Jason chuckled slightly when she blushed from the compliment. "In that case we should get back to work, the sooner we deal with the High Council, the sooner we can have that white wedding. Who knows? If things go well it just might be a double one." Celestia carefully tucked her necklace with the ring back under tunic as she turned her attention back to the screen of the workstation. "Who would be the other couple?" Jason asked confused. Celestia turned back to Jason and poked him in the side, "Your sister and Glen of course!"

And though it's obvious that some of the players have more experience when it comes to RPG's I'm fairly certain other factors such as teamwork and whether or not the players are having fun is going to matter as well.
I agree with Zeke that it seems rather rediculous that we would be doing poorly in this challenge, with all do respect to our opposition as well. 16.
You are muddling your logic. The argument isnt about RANDOM people seeking out more of (insert hobby here). The argument is about people who claim to love anime seeking out more of the genre and branching out past Naruto.
I don't think so since I think Rach was talking about the principle in general regardless if we were discussing anime or not. Also as you can see here:
How annoying they are or whether or not they "have no excuse" to not be curious about things that will educate them has no bearing on this bassline fact.
I'm with both Rachmaninoff and Fasteriskhead on this one. Saying someone has no excuse for not being curious enough to want to know more isn't all that relevant. Or rather even required for one to be a fan of anime or anything else. It just seems like they are not a more hard core or more serious fan. Perhaps later that will change, but if one only loves say one show like Naruto, then that's still a fan, even if only in a small way.
You guys do remember we are on an anime board discussing people who claim to love anime? Not random people seeking out more information or media regarding random subjects.
You do remember that we are on a board that discusses far more than just anime? It only seems logical that the discussions aren't going to limit themselves to the anime side only of a discussion. Even if it's only about what makes one a fan. Especially since I think the definition or guideline of what makes one a fan applies to far more than just anime. I think you missed what Rach was trying to point out, that the reasoning behind expecting one to be more curious, regardless of what it was, whether it was anime or something else, and that thinking they had no excuse not to be more curious is what's illogical. 17. Sunny didn?t know whether to encourage the Mercenaries to take the trinkets and leave or to express how disgusting she found their behavior to be. Until their captain spoke up. "Alex.. this isn't about the reward anymore. Morgwyn is extremely powerful now.. if we don't stop her, we won't be around long enough to spend the money we make from stealing." At that moment, her misgivings about competing with the other adventurers for the Phoenix Heart vanished. This woman who lead the group who called themselves the Mercenaries was correct. If they did not stop Morgwyn none of them would be around for anything. Far more than collecting the reward was at stake. Especially if the girl Bethany was correct about Morgwyn having already recovered her youth. Somehow, deep down she felt the girl was telling the truth. The group continued towards the next set of doors at the end of the hallway, their hands all within easy reach of their weapons. Sunny had her hands on the hilt of her twin daggers, poised to quickly use them if needed. Some of them had their weapons already drawn and ready. They were almost there when Bethany called out again. Using the same bossy tone she had used when she ordered the others out of her way back at the door to break the seal. ?Wait!? Bethany said. ?I sense powerful magic as well as other people besides the sorceress.? She stopped saying nothing else. ?Well?? Adrian finally asked, ?Aren?t you going to explain what you sense?? Surprisingly she turned red in the face, ?Well you see?? Bethany coughed and turned even redder. ?Come on,? Tiana said, clearly annoyed, ?Out with it already!? Sunny watched with amusement, as Bethany turned so red in the face that it had to be painful. Then she finally said softly. ?It?s just that the magic is very sexual in nature.? She finally said. ?I mean, can?t you feel it? It?s enough to?to.? ?Beth!? The mercenary captain said with exasperation. ?I?m sorry captain,? she replied. ?It?s just that it?s very powerful and well, dangerous.? ?Can we protect ourselves from it?? Sunny asked her. Bethany shook her head, ?Not really, though being aware of it makes it easier to fight it.? ?Then lets keep going.? Sunny said. The others nodded cautiously. Soon they would be at the next set of doors. Would Morgwyn be on the other side? It?s time we took care of this Sunny thought.
  18. Well, that time is almost upon us and to that effect, those of you who need your newest objectives have had them sent to you. Since everyone, other than one or two things has pretty much finished what I had given them. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking it will definitely surprise some of you. At least part of it that is. And I will definitely say this in regards to your comment about the resistance being screwed Rachmaninoff:
You are correct. ^_~
Hehe, should be fun! :catgirl:

"Why so sad?" Jason asked Celestia as they finished getting ready for bed in their quarters. She had been depressed ever since she had talked to Daniel about giving Darren the chip with the transmissions between him and his sister. The ones that they had accidentally erased when hacking into his hand held computer. Celestia sat down on the sofa next to Jason, pulling her feet up and leaning into him. "I wanted to give the chip to Darren, but Daniel said no." She shook her head, "I insisted and he finally told me that it wasn't possible. They found the safe house where he was being kept earlier today and rescued. him." "Then why are you so sad?" Jason put his right arm around her. "Weren't you telling me that you wished Daniel would let him go?" "That's not why I'm sad." She searched for the words to express what she was feeling. "It's just that those transmissions were important to him. I feel as if I destroyed something that was precious and irreplaceable." "You really are a softy." Jason teased her. Celestia pulled away a bit, slightly offended. "Jason, I'm serious!" "I know. I know. Did you ask Daniel if we could just send the information to him? It wouldn't be that hard to simply use the update system to create an update just for Darren that had the transmissions in it." Celestia frowned a bit and then with a sigh moved back so that she was leaning into Jason again. "I already suggested that to Daniel and he said no to that too." She said, a hint of real annoyance in her voice. "Then I say we do it anyway." Celestia pulled away again, searching his face to see if he was serious. "You really mean that?" Jason nodded, "If it were my sister I would want someone to make sure stuff like that was given back to her. Or to me for that matter." "Thank you Jason!" Celestia said as she threw herself into his arms and hugged him tightly. A hug that soon changed into something far more intimate. ------------------------------------------------------------------ William was in his quarters going over the information that Daniel had sent him. He had read it a dozen times already and each time he still found it hard to believe. The contents of the third research project were absolutely shocking. He had thought the second one was bad, but this? It was fascinating but it left open some very unpleasant and troubling ethical questions that couldn't be answered. How in the world had they gotten it into their minds to even try to do something like that? It really was a pity that due to the level of classification he would not be able to release it any time soon. It was not worth risking Kiva's position over revealing something that may or may not be enough to turn the people against the High Council. Finally he set it aside, going back to the other report that Celestia and Jason had gotten from Darren's hand held computer. The one where he had tracked down the fragmented reports. William had been lucky to get away with that tactic for so long. He had used it for over thirty years to stay hidden in the system. But just as he had exposed the three major shipping companies, this Darren had exposed what he, as a resistance member, was doing as well. He had mixed feelings about it. It was good for the citizens of the empire that someone like him had been chosen. And at the same time it was a pain for him since he too needed to hide, though for a far different reason than those who did it for profit and to cheat others. It really was a pity more higher ranking officials weren't like Darren. If they were, the resistance wouldn't be needed. But they were not and even he could see that the High Council was merely smart enough to throw in a few people who were more ethical and honest to keep those who were not in check. And from what he had seen of how security was done in regards to this Darren, the High Council had made it clear that he was considered under their protection. Which was a bit surprising, often they let them squabble among themselves a bit. Letting them eliminate each other to weed out those who weren't quite up to the task. He wondered if Darren had realized this. Though he doubted it. Finally William shut down that report as well. Other than to confirm his suspicion that they were on to him, it wasn't all that useful. And soon they would be arriving in sector twelve. Once they did he would have lots of work to do. It would be a long time before anything like the three attacks could be done again. So he would need to get started on seeing just what he could do. Then since he was tired. He started getting ready for bed.
  20.
Anyway, I'm the same way. I like total darkness when I sleep so I tend to get a more basic clock that isn't digital without any form of light. I even have thick heavy curtains for my window to keep the light out. Even if it is a bit silly I hate having any form of light. Since when I am asleep, having a light come on wakes me up. And having a light on even with my eyes closed means it takes me longer to fall asleep in the first place.
Ha! I'm the same way too. I like total darkness when I'm sleeping. When I was still driving a semi truck I would use a towel over my eyes when I ended up sleeping during the day since even with the curtains you can pull shut, light still got into the back area. Another silly thing that upsets me is party balloons being popped. I hate it. I've never figured out why that annoys me, it just does.
  21. That would be telling. Though I won't deny that things are going to get interesting soon. As to how it gets interesting...you'll see. :p
  22. I finally got around to watching the first episode of this. Yukino's personality is just so wacky and zany with her initial agenda to get Arima. It's very compelling with how she's so driven to get attention and yet it seems to me that it's really to cover a
deep loneliness.
Either way I love how the first episode ended with Arima showing up at Yukino's house when she's
not all prettied up.
It definitely foreshadows an interesting relationship developing between those two. I certainly hope the rest of this show is as fun as the first episode was.
  23.
But yeah. I think it might be the reason why us females have crushes on anime characters is because they have qualities (whether physical or personality/mental wise) that no male that we find have. Had to put my two cents in.
Or perhaps qualities of someone they know in real life who is not interested in them?
But then again, a lot of people can confuse crushing and liking.
That's what I've always wondered. Since even though there are anime characters that I do like, in the end they aren't real. lol So it's not quite the same as having a crush on some who acutally is real. I may like them but I certainly don't desire them. ^_~

Celestia had seen the news about the attack in sector seven. Even though William had waited until no one was in the facilities, it still pained her to see the level of destruction that had been done. Compared to the other attacks, it was unbelievable. Being able to cause such devastation was a bit frightening. Even if the Versilan Empire was taking over, it made her realize how easily Earth could have been facing a more hostile force, one bent on their destruction instead of one to enslave them. Just thinking about it was enough to make her shudder. As for the attacks Daniel had organized, she had done her best to simply ignore what was happening. Taking her hand held computer and retiring to her quarters to work. Jason had followed her without a word. It had been horrible, worrying about Sara as well as the other resistance members who had died. She didn't want to think about the number of Versilan's who had died that day. More than anything she wished the High Council would stop enslaving the other races, or would at least admit they were wrong and start changing things so they were not considered property. But she knew that would not happen, at least not without some outside influence. She sighed as her and Jason prepared to hack into the next level of yet another hand held computer. This time Daniel had told them it belonged to Darren Anderson, the newest shipping expert for the High Council. Celestia knew who he was, she had seen the broadcast of the monthly meeting where he had accepted the position. Even she could see that this Darren was concerned about making things better for not only the High Council and Military, but the general population as well. The newest shipping protocols were clearly designed to catch illegal shipping. And the arrest and high profile trial of three of the most powerful shipping companies who were engaged in profiteering indicated that he was not the type to look the other way just because someone was powerful. Daniel had explained to her and Jason what had happened and why they had ended up being taken prisoner. Both Sandra and Darren. Celestia had no interest in seeing either one of them, especially Sandra. She had no desire to see or talk to the one who had initially captured, tortured and interrogated her. And when Daniel had told her that they had been moved to safe houses designed to hold them she had breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't care if she ran into Darren, but Sandra? Celestia shuddered, if she never saw her again, it wouldn't bother her one bit. Celestia finished preparing the next hacking routine and setting up the link to Jason's terminal in the Command Center. So far the first couple of levels of security had been fairly easy to get into. But now they were moving into the same area that had resulted in the information being deleted when they had hacked into Crystal's hand held computer. This time Celestia had prepared a special copying program for snatching the information before it could be deleted. "All right, you ready Jason?" She asked. "All set." "I'm starting the sequence. Now." She watched as it bypassed the security and immediately began copying the information. A few seconds later the security activated and began to delete the remaining information. "Come on, just a little more..." "Got it!" Jason said, seconds before the data was completely erased. "All the files were transfered." Celestia smiled in triumph. "I knew we could beat it! Lets finish compiling the data and then get it to Daniel." "Maybe this time we'll get something useful. The last couple of levels were pretty basic stuff, nothing we didn't already know." "Besides the personal stuff you mean, those messages from his sister Kerstin were pretty interesting. Even if it does make me feel strange watching someone else's personal communications." "Oh I don't know," Jason said. "They seemed kind of sweet to me. Obviously he cares about her or he wouldn't have bothered to save a copy of it on his hand held computer." "And we just triggered the program that erased everything." Celestia said, grimacing. "I wonder if Daniel would let us give Darren a chip with a copy of the transmissions between him and Kerstin." "Softy," Jason teased. Celestia ignored Jason's attempt to tease her and started reading through the remaining files, one of them catching her eye. She opened it, her eyes widening in surprise as she read it. "Oh my, take a look at this!" Jason moved over a bit and took a look. "Damn! I wonder if William knows about this." Celestia copied it onto a data chip. "Daniel will want this immediately." She got up. "I'll be back, you keep working on the other files." "Gotcha," Jason replied. He turned back to his own work station and began to sort though the other files they had gotten.
