Sunny along with Dayne was waiting at the eastern entrance, the supplies they were suppose to get in hand. They had barely arrived when a strange cloaked man had appeared his words still echoing through her mind.
You two are members of the Titans are you not? I have information that would interest you. The Phoenix Heart...the sorceress Morgwyn has taken it for herself. The Titan's willingness to retrieve this precious treasure would serve as quite a service to this land as she seeks to replenish her youth and the true strength of her powers. Both of you being hunters of precious treasure would surely see the worth in such a journey.
She had wanted to question the old man further, but he had vanished as mysteriously as he had appeared after his simple statement. ?That was odd,? Sunny speculated, ?I wonder who that was. Do you think they were telling the truth?? Dayne shrugged, ?Who knows. We can always ask the others about it once they are finished with their business.? Sunny expression darkened slightly, ?They should be finished with it by now, perhaps one of us should go looking for them.? ?No, it?s better to stay put. They?ll be here soon enough.? ?True.? Sunny replied as she continued to scan the people moving about, looking for either Adrian or Halbereth as well as their other companion who for reasons of his own had slipped off promising to meet them at the eastern gate as well. Sunny sighed, feeling a bit impatient and worried that Adrian had gotten himself in trouble. Again. ?You know Dayne, if what that old man said is true, recovering the Phoenix Heart from someone like Morgwyn isn?t going to be easy. She may need it to recover her youth and powers, but she?s still pretty damn powerful from what I?ve heard.? ?All the more reason to recover it,? Dayne replied, ?Someone like her would only wreak havoc should she manage to use it to restore her youth and powers to their fullest.? Sunny nodded in agreement, ?I bet its worth a fortune as well, it is Aria?s national treasure after all. We could probably retire off of the reward from recovering it. At least I'm assuming there's a reward for recovering it.? ?In that case, if we do decide to go after it, convincing Adrian to go along will be easy, you know how he loves treasure.? Dayne said with a smile. Sunny laughed, ?True, he does love treasure doesn?t he?? ?Even when getting to it will be a treacherous journey, we?ll have to pass through the forest with blood red leaves as well as many other dangers. Even with her power?s waning Morgwyn is still a force to be reckoned with. And I?m sure that others will be after the prize as well.? ?We?ll just have to beat them then,? Sunny smirked. She turned at the sound of someone calling her name. It was Adrian and Halbereth. ?Speak of the devil,? Sunny said with a groan. ?Here comes Adrian and Halbereth. Now we just need to find our other companion so we can decide what to do.? ?Hey you two!? Adrian said cheerfully and then stopped looking around. ?We seem to be missing someone one.? ?He said he had some business to take care of before meeting us here.? Sunny said with a shrug. ?But forget that, have you heard about the Phoenix Heart being stolen??

No worries, they all made sense to me, even if some of the posting skipped several weeks in the storyline. I assumed based on how your posts were written that the investigation happened during that time. :catgirl:

I actually don't make plans for summer anymore since I tend to do my vacation time when it's off season in either the spring or fall. Visiting parks and other attractions is a lot more enjoyable when the place isn't overrun by tourists. So other than to enjoy the warmer weather and to get out and do some hiking and gardening, etc. I have no plans. Though if I have time I might go and visit some of the closer National Parks since I haven't been there for a few years. What I probably will do is somewhere in either June or July I will finalize the plans for the vacation I intend to take in the fall. Though my family hasn't decided where we are going yet. ^_~

I could tell you what I do when I'm angry, but really the trick is to find what helps you the best. Since often, depending on what I'm mad about, what works differs. Sometimes playing something like Doom in God mode is all it takes, other times loud rock music helps and yet sometimes soft classical works better. I've also used exercise, working on something I enjoy doing like scrap booking. And even talking with someone works since sometimes once I've gotten it out of my system I feel better. The best advice I have is to do something and if it doesn't help try something else. The worse thing you can do is nothing, letting your anger bottle up until you do what you did where you kicked a hole in the wall.

^ Yeah, I heard about that. Sick. >_< This whole thing was sick as well as all the accusations and finger pointing being done in order to find someone to blame. I really don't have much to add that hasn't already been said. Those poor families who lost loved ones. I feel bad for them.

Though I'm betting that SunfallE won't tell me. :animesigh
Correct. ^_~
That's the impression I got as well. That the more advanced stuff was only in the bases.
Both of you are correct. The more advanced medical stuff is only in the bases, or in this case the remaining US base. Anyway, the post regarding William is up and I've sent you your objective Takuya. If anyone has any questions just let me know. And get ready for some real fun once we get through this phase. :catgirl:

It was almost time for the strike in sector seven. Everything was in place. In just a short while they would be finished with moving the slaves to the moon while the charges were set off. William was about to head out when he was interrupted by an incoming priority transmission. Puzzled he answered it. "What is it Daniel? Can it wait? I don't have much time at the moment." "In that case I'll simply send you the report sir. It can wait for now." Daniel replied. "Good," William replied. "I'll review it the moment I am done with other business." He terminated the transmission once the report had finished loading. Then as he was heading out to the bridge he started reading it, stopping dead in his tracks for a moment. What the hell? William shook his head. I'll have to deal with this later. He continued from his quarters to the bridge, just in time to see that the information indicated that the facilities there were almost empty and that in twenty minutes the procedure for regulating the pressure under them would commence. Quickly William sat down in the command chair and brought up a view of the main facility. Copyright dylancole @DeviantArt It still never failed to amaze him how they had managed to take such an active volcanic planet and build a city incorporating the active lava flows for producing parts for ships and other computer equipment. Nor how every so often a science team would carefully transport special explosives below the surface to redirect the flow of lava as needed. It was, in his opinion rather impressive. It was almost a pity that he was going to be destroying it. "Are we ready with the explosives for transport?" He asked his second in command. "Yes sir, I've input all the codes you provided for bypassing the security and every group of explosives is prepped and ready." He turned back to look at William. "I still wish I knew how you got your hands on those explosives." William just smiled. "I'm sure you would. Anyway, once the slaves are done being transported I want each set of explosives transported into place in intervals of thirty seconds." "Understood sir." Then a few minutes later they began. Each security code working just as the woman had told William that they would. He still couldn't get their meeting out of his mind. Of all people, William would have never guessed that she was the leader of the resistance, or rather that she had been. He had thought that he was the only one. I wonder if there are others? Though he doubted it. "Everything is in place sir." William pulled his attention back to the mission. "All right on my mark set them off. 5 4 3 2 1...Mark!" William watched the live feed of the city that they were getting, wincing a bit when the explosives went off. Creating a rupture in the ground underneath the remains. Then to his amazement, the remains of the city began to sink, creating a huge crater. Fascinated he watched as the city slowly sank into the lava at the bottom. "Well," William's said. "It's safe to say that they won't be building anything there for quite some time." A quick look at the other facilities showed the same thing happening there as well. "Wow," his second in command said his eyes wide. "I knew those explosives were the best, but damn! I didn't realize they could do that!" "Broadcast the transmission claiming responsibility as well as our stance about not enslaving the other races since we should be protecting them and then get us the hell out of here." "Where to sir?" "Ah, yes, sorry, sector twelve." He stood up to leave, "Good work everyone." Then he headed back to his quarters. I need to contact Daniel he thought. William already knew what he was going to have him do. His agent at the military facility had told him that Kiva was done with her investigation and either would be leaving sector fourteen to head for sector thirteen or already had. They were down to the final stand since Daniel had used the special supplies he had for them. He smiled at the thought. Knowing that it would have surprised the hell out of Stevens. Then, since the damage had already been done, he wrote up instructions for Daniel in regards to Sandra and Darren. They may not have intended to capture them but there was no reason why they couldn't be used. I'll have Daniel place both of them, once they've recovered in separate safe houses. He was fairly certain that locating them would take priority even over locating the remaining base in the US. Now if he could only find a reason to get the Transcendence sent elsewhere. He didn't dare try to get close enough to transport Daniel, Jason, Celestia and Sara out of there so long as they were around. Since even with the improvements that Jason and Celestia had suggested, his ship was not fast enough to out run the new messenger ship. William sighed as he entered his quarters. As for the research project, it was a pity that they had failed to get the information on the third one. Releasing the last bit of information had created quite a stir. Still what he had done today would cause quite a problem. If only it would be enough to gain even more support from the people. Though he doubted it.

Just a heads up everyone, things are about to change. Both Aaryanna_Mom's post and my most recent one indicate things that are going to happen within a week. (in the story of course) I have sent everyone who needs it their new objectives. The only exception is your's Takuya since the changes are suppose to happen around the same time Kiva is finishing up her investigation, or getting close to finishing. Once certain things happen I will send you yours. If anyone has any questions or has anything else they would like to add, now would be the time. ^_~

Once he had arrived in sector seven William had sent out the recognition signal indicating that he had arrived and was awaiting further instructions. It had been answered immediately with a set of coordinates for him to transport to on one of the outer planets. The instructions had been quite specific, he was to come alone, something that surprised him, as the mysterious person had never asked him to transport to a location to get the information they had for him. What in the world is going on? He thought as he gave the technician the information for opening the transport door. I guess I?ll find out he thought as he stepped through. It took a moment for William?s eyes to adjust since the location had turned out to be an underground facility of some type and the lighting was far more subdued than how it was on the ship. Once they did and he could see who was waiting for him his eyes widened in surprise and instinctively his hand went for his disruptor. How the hell did they find out? ?There?s no need for that William,? the woman said. ?This is not a trap.? William paused, but he did not let go of his disruptor, keeping it aimed at the woman in front of him, not sure what to say. A quick glance at the room they were in seemed to indicate that they were indeed alone. But what of the other rooms since there were several doors leading to other areas? The woman held her arms out to the side a bit, ?As you can see I am unarmed. And if you check the area with the scanner built into your hand held computer you will see that we are alone.? Quickly William pulled it out with his other hand and did as she suggested, and unless there was better equipment maintaining a stealth shield, they were alone and the only thing she had on her was some data chips and her own hand held computer. Cautiously William put his disruptor back in its holster. After all if it was a trap, it was already too late. ?If this isn?t a trap, then what the hell is it?? He finally asked her. ?The answer to something that you?ve been curious about for quite some time. As well as a briefing for a strike against one of the worlds here in sector seven, one that will be my last order as the leader of the resistance.? ?Your last? Why?? William started to ask more but she motioned for silence. ?Please, save your questions until after I have explained.? She tossed him one of the data chips she had on her. ?In there you will find the codes needed to bypass the security to transport explosives directly to the processing facilities for parts on the third world, once you?ve done so you will destroy the facilities there. The explosives are waiting here in another room for you to transport them up once we are done.? ?I can?t do that! What about the slaves? Millions of innocent people would die!? ?William, let me finish please.? She reprimanded him. ?On that chip you will also find the exact time that the slaves you are worried about killing are to be temporarily transported to the moon while a highly sensitive project is completed. The third planet as you know is a highly active volcano. And to avoid losing the facilities altogether, a science team is going to be setting off underground explosives to stabilize things since currently there is an unacceptable amount of volcanic activity underneath the facilities. They hope that by diverting the pressure it will avoid the need to rebuild the facilities elsewhere. I?m sure I don?t have to remind you that it has been done successfully before in the past.? William took a look at the data on the chip, ?I still can?t do this. This could expose you. There?s a good chance that the High Council will realize who gave me this information.? She smiled, ?Not likely, I am not so foolish as to use my position to gain access to information I should not have. An agent who hacked into their systems and retrieved it obtained that.? She tossed him the other data chip that she was holding. ?That has the list of every single contact and agent in the resistance, those you are aware of and those who have worked directly for me all this time. As well as other information that will probably answer most of your questions about the resistance. Once you have committed it to memory I suggest you destroy it.? William looked down at the chip, ?I don?t understand, why give this to me? What about you?? ?It?s simple,? she said with a sad smile, ?My time is limited and I need someone to take over once this mission is completed. I need someone to take my place.? ?I still don?t understand. Why you would leave the resistance?? ?I don?t have a choice William. It has not been announced or made public?but I?m dying.? Startled William looked back up from the chip he was holding to see if she was serious. He looked closer and saw what the poor lighting had hid. He could see the lines of pain around her eyes and her mouth and even in the way she held herself. ?How long do you have?? He finally asked her. ?A year at most.? ?I?m sorry.? William said. Not knowing what else to say. Hell, he had wanted to know who was behind the mysterious voice, but not like this! ?Don?t be,? she replied. ?There?s no cure for getting old you know. Or for some of the diseases that even we cannot cure yet. Now if you?ll come with me I?ll take you to the explosives. My time here is limited as well and even if this is my last order for you, I still have a few other things to take care of.? William just nodded and followed her. There were so many things he wanted to ask! But at the pace she was going, it seemed like there would not be time for any questions. Carefully he pocketed the data chips she had given him. She said that she had included information about the resistance on them as well. So perhaps most of his questions would be answered then. If not, then like Nathan, she too would take her secrets to the grave. And then they arrived at where the explosives were stashed, even he couldn?t help but be awed by what she had done. Damn! He thought. That?s going to interesting when those go off.

The first theme has been announced, so let's start to think of some suitable character creations we can put into the story. We can think of how our characters should know each other, and how to take advantage of the theme's atmosphere.
I was thinking that since Sandy is going to be switching the themes around on us it might be better to create a basic character and then give them attributes that fit the current theme. If that makes sense. For example if I create a female character, for now she would have aspects that fit high fantasy. But when the switch happens, I'll still have the same character but the attributes or special abilities would change to match the new theme.

As much as she hated to admit it Celestia was stuck. Her and Jason had been carefully going over the hyper drive routine that Daniel wanted improved but it was far from simple. For starters the program was incredibly complex and computer simulations of the changes they were trying weren?t good enough to determine if the changes they had in mind would actually work. They needed to actually test it. Also, based on the numbers, the specifics of William?s ship as well as the listing he had given them were way off. She just couldn?t see how the other ship could go as fast as the listing indicated. For one thing, and Jason had been quick to point it out, such an increase would put a terrible strain on the crystals used to power the system. In order for it to work the crystals in question would need to be nearly perfect. And to the best of her knowledge, perfect crystals simply didn?t get big enough. Celestia had done some research on them when they were gathering the materials to make a solution for growing them here on Earth. For a perfect crystal to form at that size was almost unheard of. Because it would take decades if not centuries of allowing a field to simply grow wild to eventually produce one. And even that was no guarantee that one would even get big enough. And since current ships only had to have a purity rate of about fifty percent, according to what she read, it was considered a waste of time to even try. There were cases of the purity in larger crystals reaching as high as seventy percent, but those were usually used for the larger flagships in the fleet but their sheer massive size kept them from being any faster than a smaller battle ship. Frustrated Celestia closed the program with a sigh. Jason and her had been working on it for over three weeks. And though they had been able to suggest changes that would make William?s ship faster, it still would not be as fast as the other listing. ?Ready to call it a day?? Jason asked her. Celestia turned to face Jason, ?I don?t know. I hate to give up but at the same time I just don?t see a solution that doesn?t involve nearly perfect crystals.? ?Me neither, I?ve run the data and even if we managed to get our hands on the better crystals used to power the flag ships, it still falls short of what Williams is looking for. Unless he?s got some perfect crystals stashed somewhere, I don?t see a way to do what he?s asking.? ?I doubt he has some Jason, the request was to match the listed speed with the equipment he already has. If he had perfect crystals I think he would have told us to alter the routine to use them. What I don?t understand is why he even wants the ship to go faster. It?s not like the military can even catch him.? Jason frowned a bit as an unpleasant thought occurred, ?Perhaps that?s going to change. He could have information indicating that the military has figured out how to go that fast. If that?s true it would make sense that he wants us to try and find a way to match it with what we do have.? ?I hope you?re wrong.? Celestia said, ?I really do.? She sighed again. ?Come on Celestia,? Jason said as he got up. ?Lets go talk to Daniel. We may as well work on something else since we?re just wasting our time on this.? ?I agree,? Celestia said as she stood up. ?There are better things we can work on like improving the fragmentation for the grade B sensor equipment or the communication relays. Or even the routine for hacking the update system.? ?Or the shielding,? Jason suggested. ?Even if we couldn?t adjust the sensors to detect what they did in the UK, we can still even out the distortions to work better with the stealth shielding.? Celestia caught herself yawning a bit. ?After we talk to Daniel I say we call it a day.? ?Now I know you?re serious about being stuck.? Jason teased. ?Especially since you never quit before dinner.? Celestia just made a face at Jason before turning to head for Daniel?s office. She stifled yet another yawn as she turned her head to make sure Jason was coming. Finishing early would be nice for a change. Lately it seemed like her and Jason were too exhausted at the end of the day to do much of anything. And if she remembered correctly, Sara and Glen should be free this evening as well. It had been far too long since the four of them sat down and simply caught up on what the other was doing. "I say we go and see how your sister is doing once we're done here." She suggested. Jason smiled. "You mean spy on how things are going between her and Glen?" "Jason!" Jason laughed. "Did you think I hadn't noticed? It's pretty obvious that Glen likes her." Celestia smiled as the door to Daniel's office opened. "I know. What has me curious is whether or not Sara likes him in return." "I think she does, and at the same time I get the feeling that she's not sure what to think of it." Jason replied. "Anyway, lets hurry and talk to Daniel so you can go and poke your nose into their affairs." "Oh you!" Celestia said as she poked Jason. "I'll get you for that." Jason just leaned over and whispered in her right ear. "I'm holding you to that." And then he chuckled when she blushed. Then as the door closed behind them he moved to take a seat across from Daniel. His mind elsewhere as Celestia began to explain the problem with changing the hyper drive for William's ship.

My favorite time of year has always been fall. I just love the autumn colors and I usually spend as much time as possible going out and visiting the mountains to take pictures and do some hiking. I have always loved Halloween and the Thanksgiving holiday as well. Perhaps it has something to do with my birthday being in the month of October as I grew up having fall and Halloween themed birthday parties. Even once all the leaves have fallen and the once green grasses turned brown up in the mountains, fall still seems to hold the charm of an enchanted place waiting for the right moment to come alive again. I also love how the fallen leaves seem to dance across the land in the wind as if they are celebrating being free to roam the earth. Windy days in the fall are my favorite type of days. As well as misty rainy ones, I love curling up in a blanket with some hot chocolate to watch the rain coming down outside. My least favorite season is winter. Primarily because I really hate snow, it?s pretty, but I find it highly annoying. First of all I have arthritis and when I get to cold it?s really quite painful. It?s not just a matter of dressing warmly either. I have a hard time keeping warm; even in the summer I use an electric blanket to get warm when I go to bed. The only difference between summer and winter is in the summer I don?t leave the blanket on all night. My second favorite season is spring, I love watching everything become green again and I love seeing all the flowers start to bloom. As for summer? Well I suppose I would enjoy it more if I didn't sunburn in less than three seconds. ^_~

Actually I?m really quite picky about what socks I will wear. As much as I love the decorative socks and fun looking ones I have problems with both my ankles and feet. So at my doctor?s recommendation I picked up a pair of Thorlo?s socks. They are suppose to be designed to keep your feet warm and other good things like helping to prevent blisters when you go hiking. They are so downright comfy and comfortable on my feet that I?ve yet to find another brand of sock that does as good a job as they do. Now they are the only socks I get. They cost more, but unlike the socks I use to get, they easily last over 5 years before wearing out, so in the long run they aren?t that much more than the regular ankle socks I use to get at Mervyns. Those had to be replaced every 8 months to a year since they wore out so quickly. I usually get a combination of ankle socks and the next kind that go up higher, but wear like ankle socks since I fold the extra back down. And speaking of socks, I need to go and get some. ^_^

William had already left sector fourteen. Once he had realized that the military had issued a lock down there was no point in staying around. He had lost contact with the agent he had on one of the research teams and the agent he had at the military outpost lacked the security clearance to get him any information. And he was not going to ask him to do anything that would risk exposing his position. It had been so hard to even get an agent on the research team in the first place. But now it was looking like they were not going to find out what the third research project was. To make matters even worse the information he had gotten on the Transcendence, the first of the new Messenger Ships for Elite Specialists clearly showed that it would have no trouble catching his ship the Clandestine. He had lost the advantage of being able to outrun those who worked for the High Council. Something that was a bit of a problem with the new shipping protocols being put into place, William had been hiding within the system but now that wouldn?t be possible. He would have to start relying on falsified identification, a tactic he disliked since it had serious risks as well. William didn?t have a choice though, if he didn?t change his tactics he would have been caught. The new shipping expert was nothing like the previous one, that fool had always looked the other way when it came to illegal dealings, though it had worked in the resistance?s favor. Making it easier for them to get illegal goods. But with the new shipping protocols, that was changing and it was, in his opinion, a pity that Darren Anderson worked for the High Council. He had already used his authority to expose the three top shipping companies executives, resulting in them being arrested and charged with high treason. Something that would benefit the people as well as the military and the High Council. At least he seemed to be far more honest than the others, even if that meant trouble for the resistance. He wondered if Darren remembered that they had actual met once. He doubted it though. It had been back when he first took over his father?s company. William had purchased several shipments of the crystals their technology required from him. And since he made a point of never dealing with the same merchant more than a few times if possible, he had never seen him again. The chime of an incoming priority message interrupted William?s train of thought. Startled he quickly switched it to the conference room off the main bridge and then went to receive it. Opening it once the doors and the channel was secure. The transmission one of audio only. ?William,? the non-descript voice said. ?I have an important task for you.? ?What would that be?? William asked. ?I need you to head to sector seven, can you get there within three weeks?? William pulled up their current heading and input the request to calculate arrival time should they change course; a moment later the answer from the computer came back. ?Yes, we can get there in two and a half weeks actually.? ?Good, proceed to sector seven immediately and contact me once you?ve arrived.? The transmission ended. William stood up and went back out to the main bridge, noticing that his crew was waiting for him to speak, to see if the message meant things had changed. And he couldn?t blame them for being a bit curious since he rarely got priority messages and every time they did he had immediately changed what they were currently doing. Which in this case was hauling goods to sector two. William didn?t keep them waiting. ?All right everyone, our plans have changed. Set a course for sector seven, top speed. Switch to full stealth mode.? ?Understood.? His second in command said even as he switched their course and activated the stealth systems. William sat down in the command chair, wondering just what was up in sector seven. He knew from the gossip that he overheard from his crew that they thought the priority messages came from one of his top agents. But what they didn?t know was that they really came from someone even higher up in the resistance than he was. They thought that he was the leader of the resistance when in fact he was more of a second in command himself. And even he did not know the identity of the person on the other side of the transmission. It was done to keep him from even knowing if it was a woman or a man. Daniel?s father Nathan had known who it was, but he had taken that secret to his grave. William smiled a bit, every time the mysterious person contacted him; it had always led to something interesting. I wonder what it is this time? Just as he wondered, as he always did, if he would ever get to find out just who they were.

Well to help with the list: indifference started as a moderator in Anime Lounge and I believe that Sara was in the Otaku Lounge. I'm not sure about Sara though. -
Personally I think that what you did was great. ^_^ The added conversation I thought was a nice touch. It's too bad that we didn't win though. This round has been full of surprises that's for sure. Anyway, I sent my vote. :animesigh

?Just our luck,? Celestia said with a groan as the information from the newest hacking routine finally came back. ?What do you mean?? Jason asked from his spot in the Command Center. ?I was hoping to finally get into the Catalyst?s systems, but according to the information here, it?s been noted that the Elite Specialist has been assigned elsewhere.? Jason looked at the information when it came up on his screen as well. And checking the scanners clearly showed that the ship was no longer in orbit around Earth. ?Isn?t it better that they?ve been sent elsewhere? I mean, didn?t Daniel say that Specialists are the best? If the Specialist is gone it will just make finding this base even harder.? ?True,? Celestia started to say. Jason reached over and tousled her hair, ?Just admit it, you?re disappointed that you can?t see if your program would have worked.? ?Oh you!? Celestia said in mock anger. ?I ought to?? She stopped and sighed, ?You?re right, I was sure it would work!? And then she stuck her tongue out at Jason, pouting a bit before turning back to the data. Jason just smiled. ?Well at least it gives us time to think of ways to improve our defenses and make it harder for the military to find us. And according to the information we got, other than to maintain order in the US they will be focusing on the UK and Europe for the time being.? ?I know. Still there?s no telling how long the Specialist will be gone. We can always work on hacking into deeper levels of security on the Conqueror and the Creator while we wait for them to return.? She said mischievously. ?Celestia!? Jason protested. Celestia just laughed as she turned off her workstation and got up, carrying the data chip with the information in her right hand. ?Come on Jason, let?s give this to Daniel and call it a day. I?m ready to get some rest.? ?You go ahead, I?ll be ready once you get back from giving that to Daniel.? ?All right.? Jason watched as Celestia left and then turned back to his own work, finishing up a tiny bit before finally saving everything and shutting things down. It had been a long time since dinner and though he wasn?t exhausted, he was tired. He smiled when Celestia came back. And then he got up and went to meet her as she was leaving the Command Center. ?Do you think we should stop and say hello to Sara and Glen before calling it a night?? Celestia asked as they walked though the corridors of the base. Jason shook his head. ?She?s not here, I understand she?s out training some of the resistance members from the UK on how to avoid attracting attention when out on a patrol.? ?Ah, I see.? Celestia smiled as they approached their quarters. ?At least she seems to be much happier since Daniel put her and Glen in charge of training some of the newer recruits.? ?Yeah, she loves that kind of stuff, teaching that is.? Jason said as the door to their quarters closed behind them. Without hesitation he immediately went to fetch some pajamas to change into. Celestia also went to the storage drawers next to the computer workstation and pulled out her own nightshirt before responding. ?I?m glad she?s finally doing something else.? She turned to face Jason. ?Even though she apologized for her outburst the other day, it?s just not like her to get angry like that.? ?I know.? Jason smiled. ?She is spunky, but it?s rare for her to pick a fight with people she cares about.? Celestia quickly changed into her nightshirt and then placed her dirty clothing in the pull out drawer meant for laundry. Jason was still changing so she went over to the small bathroom and got into the drawers, pulling out a brush and then she started brushing through her hair. ?You know what?s really a shame?? She asked. ?What?? Jason said from the main room. Celestia finished brushing her hair and put the brush up before walking back out to where Jason was. ?That the attacks and the release of the information about the illegal research being done wasn?t enough.? ?You mean to turn the people against the High Council?" ?Exactly,? Celestia said. ?I would have thought that even though the Council claims that it?s only being done to those they have enslaved, it would have had more of an impact.? ?I thought so as well,? Jason said as he finished changing and placed his dirty clothes in the drawer before turning and walking over to where Celestia was standing just outside the restroom. ?But I?ll tell you what?s really a shame if you want me to.? Celestia raised an eyebrow. ?Oh? What would that be?? Jason reached up and began to unfasten the buttons to her nightshirt smiling when Celestia blushed. Then once her shirt was undone he pulled her close, until their faces were mere inches apart and whispered, ?That we are wasting our time alone discussing work when it could be spent doing better things.?

It took me awhile since I've been busy, but here it is Sandy. ^_~ It's a little different than what you suggested. Though I can change stuff if you really want me to. Anyway... Thanks for the heads up Takuya. Hope you get the problems sorted out soon. Ironically it's good timing since a lot of the high schools around here are in spring break and with the Easter Holiday coming up I'm sure people have plans to spend time with their family. I know do. So just enjoy the holiday weekend everyone, post if you want, or simply wait until next week. ^_~ And though it's cheesy....
As for birth control tripling thats because Bush lets the Catholic church have too much power.
Or just about any church for that matter. Never mind that there might actually be a real medical use for the medicine. :animeangr That's one my pet peeves since it has other uses, but some insurances won't even pay for it. But that's another discussion as it entails them denying medical coverage over a 'perceived attempt to control the morals of their employees' If your company is owned by the LDS church that is. Anyway, I've run into the same problem. Simply doing without except on the required medications since anything else gets real expensive real fast. In addition to prescriptions going up in price, copays and other aspects have risen as well. While salary and actual pay has barely budged. All I can say is it's a good thing that there are charity hospitals, well at least there are where I live, otherwise, people who need medication to even live would end up dead. I've known plenty of people who've relied on that to get insulin for diabetes since they can't afford it. Personally I think the problem in this area is part of why the American people are sick and tired of the Bush Administration. I know I am. I certainly hope one of the issues that gets addressed once Bush's butt is out the door is an attempt to slow down the unrealistic increase in prescription prices, gas prices, etc.

Yes, it is safe to say that Yami Bakura is pretty much evil. The events of the fifth volume of Millennium World pretty much cemented this fact. Also, Vol. 5 = MINDBLOW. ._.[/spoiler']
o_O Well having finally got volume four and five. I have to say... evil doesn't even begin to cover it. Finding out how
the Millennium items were made was quite the revelation. o_O
And the twist where it was also a
gaming world
caught me by surprise as well. Now I have to wait for the next volume when I want to read it now! :animesigh

^ *pokes Kurayami Oji* :p
- People who only vote straight ticket. I have a friend who will tear into anyone who even suggests breaking rank and voting for a republican. She believes that you should stick with the democrats no matter what. Gah.
I've been leaving this thread alone since so many people are already covering what I find annoying. But this? I truly detest people who vote straight ticket just because they are part of a certain political party. :animeangr As if being part of a political party somehow made them smart. Feh!
What grinds my gears? People who hate Canadians just because. I mean, what the crap? :(
Yeah, that's another one on my list, hating someone because they are from a certain country. I really hate that kind of judgmental nonsense.
Also: People who think that Americans are stupid just because some silly TV show finds dumb people on the street and asks them trivia. Couldn't you do that in any country and get the same results? >_>[/FONT']
:catgirl: If I wasn't already a Desbreko fangirl I'd consider making a White fan club just for that. Celestia watched Sara turn and stalk out of the Command Center closely followed by Glen and then she watched Daniel as he turned and went back into the side room. She had known that Sara was frustrated, but she had never expected her to snap at her and Jason like that. She wondered just what had happened to make her so angry? Was it because Kim was probably dead? Daniel had told her that the use of drugs and torture was so effective that it was rare for anyone to hold out longer than two weeks before being broken and the information forced from them. A fact that Celestia knew all to well as the memory of when she had first been captured, tortured and then ruthlessly interrogated still haunted her. She fought the urge to cry. As much as she believed in helping the fight to stop the High Council, Celestia could not feel happy about anyone dying. They weren?t the enemy. At least she didn?t think so. Humans were the same way; both good and bad and she could not see them as her enemy just because they were a Versilan. How could she think otherwise? When it was a Versilan resistance member who had saved not only her and Jason but Kim and her father Daniel as well. There were hundreds if not thousands of Versilans who had risked everything to help people they had been raised to believe were inferior. Some like Daniel had lost everything. His father dead, his mother murdered and that was only the people she knew about. And Kim? She had sacrificed herself to make sure as many people as possible could escape when the base in Australia had been attacked, both human and Versilan. Celestia looked up at Jason when he finally turned to head back to his seat. More than anything she wanted to talk to him but at that moment the harsh sound of the alarm sounded and the main viewer switched to an emergency transmission from the base in the UK. What the hell? ?Commander Daniel! Close the transportation door sequence at your end! The military is invading the base!? It was the officer who ran the base, his expression one of total panic. Jason moved to respond but Daniel was already back out into the main room. Taking his seat as he immediately started pulling up the information. ?If I close the sequence you?ll be trapped.? Daniel finally responded. ?I know sir, but that can?t be helped.? He looked nervously at something before looking back. ?I?ve piggy backed this communication through the transport door to get around the jamming, but if you leave your side open once the assault squad gets to the transport location I won?t be able to stop them from coming directly into the base there.? Daniel swore, ?Is there no way to get to the door before they do?? ?No sir,? he said miserably. ?They came in by blasting through the side of the base from the outside. They?ll be at this location in a matter of minutes. I had to trigger the security doors to keep them out of the transport room long enough for me to contact you. Now please sir! Close the sequence!? Jason just stood there, shocked. Had he really said that they blasted in through the side of the base? How the hell had they managed to do that? The base was built underground to prevent that sort of thing! ?All right,? Daniel finally replied sadly. ?I?ll close down the sequence from this end.? ?Thank you sir.? The officer replied. And then the screen went blank. ?Is there really nothing we can do?? Jason asked Daniel. Daniel turned to face him. ?No, in addition to the communication he sent me the data on what the security system picked up. Once they entered the base they split into three squads. And the point of entry effectively cut off anyone located in the Command Center.? ?How did they manage to get to the base without them noticing it?? Jason asked. Celestia spoke up softly, ?It was the shielding. If they used a good enough stealth system on the equipment doing the actual digging, it would appear to the system as a minor disturbance due to the ground shifting. And with it only being in one area, it wouldn?t register like an earthquake would. It?s not designed to react to things like that, otherwise the alarm would be sounding for every rock or bit of dirt that even moved.? Jason sat down, ?Gods, it?s only a matter of time until they find us too, isn?t it?? He slammed his fist into the console and then folded his arms across his chest, looking down at the floor. Celestia turned to Daniel, ?I can re-write the shielding program to detect disturbances in the surrounding dirt and rocks that are over a certain limit, I can?t guarantee that it will stop them from doing the same thing though.? Daniel stood up, ?Do it, changing the shielding recognition program is to take top priority. Let me know when you have it ready.? Celestia watched him leave and then turned to Jason. ?I know,? he said in response to her unspoken question. ?We have work to do.? He turned to his computer console and pulled up the shielding program.
