How did you come up with your internet/screen name ?
SunfallE replied to corpseman's topic in General Discussion

Seeing that this is the first and only online place I?ve ever joined (besides e-mail) I was clueless as to how one goes about choosing a name. So since my daughter is a member I finally settled on her user name followed up with the _Mom part as I?m her mother. I?ve been called mom for so long that the idea of having a different name just seems strange. And even if I did try to change it, I wouldn?t even know what to change it too. :animesigh

In all honesty, I think that almost all the teenagers (and some others) on OtakuBoards think of you as the OB Mom. I know that whenever I see you've posted in a thread I'll be posting in, I clean up my post a little bit just because it feels right. You should definitely just change your name to Mom.[/FONT']
Hehe, I?m not a teenager anymore and I think of you as Mom, but then you?ve known me since I was a baby, you probably even remember the day I was born. So if you change it, Mom is definitely the way to go. ^_~ Now since I have answered this before here is how I came up with my Internet/User name.
My user name is based off of a Star Trek book I read a long time ago. The character is someone whose songs later save an entire race from dying. I loved the name so I made it my e-mail address a while back. Then when I started doing more stuff online I started using the name when I signed up for various things. I prefer to use just Sunfall but if it?s taken then I use other combinations of the character?s name, like the SunfallE as the E is the first letter of the character?s last name. So far I?ve always been able to get some form of the character's name as my user name. I?d use my nickname Beth or Bethany, but usually it?s already taken.
I just realized that next year I?ll have had my e-mail with that name sunfallennien for ten years. o_O I guess I really am attached to the name Sunfall. :p -
In general I don?t consider myself an angry person. I do get angry easily but I also get over it easily. It takes something far more annoying or upsetting to really get me angry. So if I go by that, I just about never get angry as the other issues are more of a feeling of annoyance than real anger. Maybe it?s because I like to play games like Diablo II Lord of Destruction or Doom in God mode when I?m feeling frustrated as I enjoy killing all the monsters. By the time I?m done, I?ve had a good time playing and I don?t feel frustrated anymore. Though I?ll play them other times too as I enjoy the games too much. I?m not the type to snap since the idea of going nuts doesn?t appeal to me. I just can?t see hurting others even when they are part of why I am mad. Though if someone was trying to hurt me, that?s another story. I?ve been assaulted before and I have no trouble getting mad and fighting back. It?s one of the things that really annoys me. It just makes me mad that the person even thought of assaulting me, and by assault I mean they intend to either rape or do other bodily harm to you. That sort of thing just makes my blood boil. Other than that for the most part I?m a pretty calm person and it?s actually difficult to get me really, really mad.

I was wondering what you all thought about censorship I,personally, think it is utter bullcrap, telling us what we can & cannot hear, say or see. your thoughts, please.
Personally I think censorship is wonderful. In a sense it gives you quite a bit of freedom in that you can choose to see hear or say what you want. In private. You can choose to avoid the movies or songs or other media that has more mature content or you can get it and take it home and enjoy it. So though it may seem annoying since you are limited in public as to what you can do, on the whole I think the positive side outweighs it. Think about this, is there something that you yourself would not want to see at say school or at the park? Censorship on some level means you can go somewhere and not have to worry about it. On the flip side there are cases where censorship is taken too far. Like when an area tries to prevent a book from being published or a magazine from being sold because they don?t like the story, not because the content is too mature. In those cases the person should have the choice of deciding if they want the book or the magazine.
I just say have a warning on these things other than censoring. for one thing, they are censoring things that needn't be censored(they edited the word 'choking'!), two, they're changing thier rules(you used to be able to say *** in a censored song, now they won't let it through), & three, they have double standards(on 1 CD,they censor 'sodomy',on the other it's okay). so I hate censorship. damn that was a mouthful. :animesigh & I just got censored.
Without telling us who ?they? is I have no idea if your complaint is even valid. So at this point since your rant is on the general side I would have to say that there isn?t a problem.

Like indifference I?m not into guns either so I wouldn?t have known what you just stated unless I took the time to look it up. I was assuming it was a more heavy type gun as well. Which considering what you just said makes sense. He probably would have killed a lot more people if he had one of the more powerful guns. And I agree that there are those who if they can?t get the lighter guns then they go for the more illegal stuff which cause a lot more damage. I just wish there was a way to keep them from getting them in the first place, but that?s pretty much impossible as you don?t know if someone is going to use the gun they buy in that manner.

I think the whole thing is just sad. I don?t understand why anyone would want to go in and kill other people. I?ve had my rough days and such, but I?ve never felt the urge to take it out on others, even if they are part of why I?m having a rough day. I feel bad for students these days as the getting shot at by someone while at school was something I never had to worry about. So it must be hard wondering if your school is going to be the next place it happens.
If given the authority, what actions would you take to 'stop it'? Question can be answered by anyone interested in doing so, my curiosity was just piqued.
The only thing I can think of that might help, though it?s certainly no guarantee, is to have some sort of class on the psychological impact of harassing other students and how depression and constant harassment can really hurt someone. I often wonder if other students even think about how much it can hurt someone?s feelings when they are mean to them. Or if they understand that their feelings are a result of depression which is treatable. The only problem with this idea is that I?ve no idea if it would really address the issue at all. It might only help reduce the harassment of other students or be completely useless. But I think it?s something that should be considered, especially since there are other areas it might help as well, like for students who feel so helpless that they commit suicide. For some just learning a little about depression and that there is treatment might be the step they need to get over it. Or to at least seek some help for how they feel. I feel like I?m grasping at straws though. But we have to start somewhere right? Any other ideas on how to stop it?

What's in your car, purse or wallet
SunfallE replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I think a better question for me would be what?s not in my car. It?s almost been a year since I quit working as a Truck Driver and it still seems like I?m driving around unprepared. I got so use to having the lovely cabinets and little fridge in the back cab. And being able to lift up the top of my bed to get to the storage underneath. And that didn?t include the other areas for storing stuff that you could access from the outside. I pretty much had a little of nearly everything with me seeing that I lived in that truck. Now all I have is a few cd?s a blanket or two in the trunk and some tools that would be useful should I ever break down. I also have my trucker?s road atlas and exit book as even in a car they are quite useful when I venture far away from home. I have some dream catchers hanging from my rearview mirror and the rest of my car, other than some dust as I need to clean it again is empty. Though occasionally when I take Aaryanna along with her cute poochie on a ride somewhere, my back seat will then have her dog?s riding seat that attaches to the seatbelt and thus to her little harness she wears when we are traveling. ^_~ -

Yeah I really need to finish writing up the character backgrounds and send them to you. But I assume that since you are going on vacation in just a bit that you plan on waiting until after that at least so I still have time.
You assume correctly. Especially since I don?t have all the details ready. And even if I did rush to get them ready it would be kind of stupid to start something and then disappear for an entire week and leave everyone hanging. Chapter Eleven: Celestia woke up to the sound of the cell door opening. It was the alien with shoulder length silver blonde hair and striking features that she remembered seeing during her interrogation. She moved to get up but the alien came over and sat down on the side of the bed facing her. ?Don?t bother to get up Celestia,? he said. ?I want to ask you a few questions.? Celestia pulled her legs up until she was sitting with her legs crossed facing the alien. She was struck by how beautiful, yet cold his eyes were. She felt like a tiny mouse facing a cat. The alien waited until she finished positioning herself before speaking again. ?The Commander and our computer specialist both feel that you posses skills that would be useful to us. Your assistant Jason is currently being tested to see if he posses any useful skills as well,? he paused and somehow Celestia knew he was watching to see her reaction to what he said about Jason. Celestia felt cold; somehow she knew that if she made an issue of Jason?s safety it would be a mistake with this person. She remained silent. The alien smiled and continued, ?What I need you to do is clarify your relationship with your assistant for me. Your notes in your files indicate that he functioned as a full assistant and even assisted in creating some of your programs and information, like the energy signature to disrupt our nervous systems.? Celestia answered, ?That?s correct. I hired him because he did have the skills necessary to actually assist in the calculations. I also hired him as he had extensive programming knowledge and the necessary office skills to properly prepare reports on everything we were working on. I?m not very good at writing reports.? The alien watched her for a moment and then continued. ?How do you feel about your assistant Jason?? He said. Celestia hesitated; she wasn?t sure how to respond. She did find Jason attractive, but they didn?t have a relationship beyond work. She looked down at her hands and replied, ?There is no relationship beyond our working together.? Celestia didn?t even have a chance to react as the alien backhanded her with such force that her head slammed painfully into the wall. Before she could even register what had just happened he had reached over and grabbed her hair behind her head and pulled her towards him until their faces were inches apart. ?Don?t lie to me Celestia,? he said, ?Your eyes tell me a different story.? The alien held up a small device for Celestia to see. ?Do you know what this is?? He asked her. Celestia whispered, ?no.? The alien smiled cruelly. ?It?s a disruptor, don?t be fooled by its small size. It?s almost as effective as the one the commander used on you the other day.? Celestia shuddered involuntarily as she remembered all too well how painful the interrogation had been the other day. The alien smiled and said, ?Now tell me how you really feel about Jason unless you think I should be asking him instead.? The look in his eyes when he mentioned Jason sent a shiver of fear running through her, Celestia didn?t hesitate this time, ?I find Jason attractive and I?m pretty sure he is attracted to me as well. Though we haven?t acted on it or actually discussed it with each other.? She said. He released her and Celestia fought the urge to move away. The alien leaned back and said, ?next time you lie to me I won?t be as forgiving.? He got up and walked over to the cell door. He stopped, turned around and said, ?My name is Jared. I?m second in command on this ship and as of now you answer to me.? Before Celestia could respond Jared continued, ?Several of my men will be taking you to Nathan who will test you to see what you are capable of.? He paused for a moment and continued, ?I suggest you cooperate, though there are other more entertaining methods of obtaining the information we want should you choose to be difficult. I?ll let you decide.? Jared smiled and left. Once the cell door closed Celestia leaned back against the wall. She fought the urge to cry as intense feelings of despair and hopelessness filled her. No matter how she looked at it, she couldn?t see a way out of this predicament that she had gotten Jason and herself into. Celestia had wanted to ask about Jason, but she had been too frightened of Jared to ask. Just what did Jared mean by being tested? She hoped that Jason was okay. Well as okay as anyone could be in a situation like this. Celestia pulled her legs up and rested her chin on her knees. Ironically if her dreams were accurate she already knew the layout of the ship and just what to do to destroy it. So far every detail from her dream had been accurate regarding the aliens. Or should she be calling them Versilians since in her dreams they referred to themselves as being from the planet Versilan. Celestia had changed the name to Silver One because in the dreams all of them had silver colored eyes. The only thing she had encountered that hadn?t been in her dreams was the mysterious door of light. She had a guess as to how it worked, but she hadn?t seen one in any of her dreams. Did that mean it was a more recent development? Celestia leaned back, resting her head against the wall. When the dreams had first started twelve years ago they were so vivid and detailed that she finally built a proto type of the holographic program. She had been surprised when it had actually worked. She had been even more surprised when no one had been able to duplicate a program written by a mere fifteen-year-old girl. She became wealthy literally overnight. Encouraged by that success she had began to work on the next level by making the images solid. It took ten years, as she had to write the specifics for the hardware to support it, as nothing existed that could produce the solid images. Again she was surprised when her idea worked. She had invested quite a bit of money into making the new technology. It never occurred to her that the information on how to actually create such stuff could have come from another world altogether! She had assumed that dreams was simply a way for her mind to tell her how to do things. Celestia had read that geniuses often heard whispers in their mind telling them the answers to complex problems. So she assumed that for her the method of how her mind worked was dreams. Even to this day she still had vivid dreams about the Versilans and about other technological ideas here on Earth. Though truthfully around seventy percent of the dreams were about the Versilans. Celestia had written down notes about every idea she had for a new technology or device. She could reproduce it from memory if needed, but she had taken to putting her ideas down when they occurred as she had so many of them. She had built a special computer just to hold the files and she kept it securely locked up in a safe built into her bank?s home office location. She had her own personal office there that she used whenever she wanted to work on her computer; even the program to access the safe had been built by her. Celestia?s train of thoughts was interrupted as two guards entered the cell. One of them was holding a set of restraints. Celestia got up off the bed and turned her back to them. She held her hands behind her back as she was certain they were there to take her somewhere. When she felt one of the guards placing the restraints on her wrists she knew her assumption had been correct. She turned around and waited for the guard to tell her what to do. He turned to leave so she meekly followed him. As they were taking her through the ship she recognized where they were going. If her dreams were correct they were heading to the main workroom for the ship?s computer specialist. The entered a large room that looked surprisingly like the control room in her building where she had built Silver One. There were obvious differences, but she could clearly see the similarities. An older man with silver gray hair was already there. The guards removed the restraints and took up positions by the door. ?Please come here Celestia and take a seat,? the man said. He had a kind expression on his face and for some reason Celestia felt as if she knew him from somewhere. He looked a lot like one of the Versilans from her dream but that alien had been much younger, or at least looked much younger. She walked forward and sat down at the console as he requested. ?My name is Nathan, and I?m the computer specialist. I want you to take some tests to help me determine what you understand,? he said. Celestia watched as Nathan did something to change the information on the monitor to English. Nathan continued, ?Please answer to the best of your ability and be sure to explain what parts of the questions you don?t understand, okay?? Celestia just nodded her head and turned her attention to the first question. Now that she saw the alien up closer she decided it was highly unlikely he was the same one from her dream. He did look a lot like the one in her dream, but he had been called Daniel, not Nathan. And she found it hard to believe someone who was only twenty in her dream could age so much in just twelve years. After twelve years of dreams she decided it was no surprise that she had run into someone who resembled one of the aliens from her dreams.

Superficial to me means so many different things. To appearances to thoughts and emotions. So based on that I would say that I am not superficial. I?ve certainly run into people who are and honestly I tend to find them annoying as often it?s like they have nothing between their ears but hot air. There?s no depth or originality to their discussions or to any type of activity you do with them. If we are going from the aspect Aaryanna was thinking. Then yeah I do care some about superficial stuff as I like things to be clean and I prefer a boyfriend who knows what the word deodorant means. Honestly there is nothing that turns off lust quicker than getting close to your boyfriend only to realize that he stinks. But beyond that it?s not something I really think about.

Well first of all that older banner is just totally hilarious. I loved the double barrel shotgun Doom look when the character gets blown into little pieces. The second one is also totally funny. I loved the cheesy way the guy flashes the jewelry he?s wearing. It?s too bad others didn?t care for your avatar. Sure it toed the line a bit, but I still found it funny, especially the would you like to buy a vowel part.
And, I'm really getting spoiled by these "God of the Internet" picture compliments, indifference. I'm undeserving. I'll just settle for being the God of pictures here.
I wouldn?t say you're undeserving. I too enjoy the pictures you post. You do put up the funniest ones. Like the one of a dancing cat you did a while ago. Though I don?t remember what thread it was. I just remember cracking up when I first saw it. ^_~

Well I?ve just gotten past one of the biggest cut scenes, or rather informative spoilers about this game. It was pretty obvious that Fayt was different in some way as you got hints of it before the fight with Norton. But since I tend to avoid reading more than I need to about a game I was a bit surprised that he turned out to be
able to destroy a space ship. o_O
I actually remember reading about a game with that type of plot in it but for some reason I was thinking it was something else and not Star Ocean. So now I?m off to the Shrine of Kadan and I?ve picked up a new member of the team. I?m working on leveling her up but so far I?m not too impressed with the attacks and options she has. Though I need to figure out the underground passageway as I?ve yet to even make it to Shrine of Kadan. I know the games are designed to have a certain flow, but it always makes me laugh a little at the idea that you could hypothetically spend days leveling up and yet still manage to get there in time to thwart the enemies. ^_~ Anyway, the best part is I?ve got enough team members that I?m starting to have better success rates with the Customizing/Inventing aspect of the game and it?s definitely coming in handy for making all sorts of nifty stuff for the game. ^_^

That?s kind of sad. I always enjoyed watching his show as he had such a wacky and fun personality. He always made the shows fun to watch as he had such passion for his work. I don?t know what to say other than he will be missed.

Anyway, keep up the good work. Oh and if you don?t mind, I?ll be asking you a little more as to what you mean by RPG. I?m assuming it?s the section where people get together to do stories, but I?ve never done that sort of thing so I?m not entirely clear on it.
Thank you. ^_~ As for your assumption about the RPG, you are correct. It is the area where people get together to do stories where they all take part in it. Seeing how much you yourself love to read you might actually enjoy being in one. I?ve got plenty of characters in mind so you?re welcome to be a part of it when I start mine. Though truthfully it?s going to be a while as I still haven?t finished working out some of the details with indifference yet. Chapter Ten: Nathan finished his report and forwarded it to the Commander. He also prepared a second report to forward to the resistance leaders when the opportunity presented itself. What he had found out was quite startling. When he had been stationed on Earth sixteen years ago he had organized a resistance cell with the intention of advancing Earth?s technology. They had taken over an orphanage and every child under five years of age had been put through the advanced learning simulations. After a year they had given up, as it appeared that the people from Earth lacked the ability to understand their technology. He thought that they had carefully erased the memories of the children who had undergone the enhanced learning program, but now his research indicated otherwise. He had hacked into the huge data bases on Earth looking for clues that other?s like Celestia had retained their memories of the information and to his surprise over seventy five percent of the big technological advances made on Earth were done by children who had undergone the learning program. Fortunately other than Celestia less than one percent of their improvements resembled the technology of his world. If he understood the data correctly ninety percent of the children who had undergone the training had retained some of the knowledge. And in every single one of them approximately ten years after receiving the training they suddenly began to develop new technology. If they had realized that it took time for the Earthlings to grasp the concept he would have never closed the resistance cell there. If he had realized that it took time he would have left them there to continue educating the children. In sixteen years that would have produced thousands of people on Earth capable of furthering their technology. He had to get this critical information to the resistance. They needed to know that other races adapted differently to the enhanced learning. If they could organize cells to start education programs and to continue them on other worlds that hadn?t been conquered yet, it could mean the difference between failure and success. So far they hadn?t been able to save a single world from being taken over. Sometimes Nathan wondered why he even bothered trying to save less developed worlds. At their current rate of taking over, even if a world became advanced enough to resist, his people?s Empire would be to strong for it to make a difference. Unless something happened soon to tip the balance of power, everything he and the other?s had done would have been a useless gesture. Nathan turned off his computer as he had finished with the report. He sent a request to the Commander to have Celestia brought to him for questioning. He wanted to present her with a technological problem to see how well she understood it. If he understood her programs correctly, he was positive she would be able to fix the problem. He was fairly certain the Commander would allow it as he had explained in his report how her knowledge could be quite useful. Jason didn?t even realize that he had dozed off until someone shaking his shoulder woke him up. He opened his eyes to find Jared leaning over him. Jason pulled away so quickly he banged his head painfully on the wall next to the bed. Jared laughed and motioned to two aliens standing by the door. Quickly they came over and pulled Jason up off the bed. Once again they bound his hands behind him as Jared walked over to the door. They then forced him to follow Jared through the ship. After a while they entered a room that to Jason looked like some type of computer lab. There was an older alien with gray hair waiting for them. ?Nathan,? Jared said, ?Crystal has ordered that Celestia needs more time to recover from the interrogation. Our good doctor said that from the biological data she obtained that although humans are quite sturdy, they heal more slowly and need more time to recover than you or I would. So the Commander wants you to determine if this one has knowledge we can use. Celestia will be sent to you later after the doctor feels she is ready.? Nathan bowed slightly to Jared. ?Understood Sub-Commander. I?ll get to work on this one immediately.? Jared smiled and said, ?I?ll be leaving these two here to make sure he doesn?t give you any trouble.? Jared walked over until he was mere inches from Jason. He reached up with his right hand and gently ran his fingers through Jason?s hair until his hand was behind his head. He firmly grabbed Jason?s hair and leaned forward. Instinctively Jason tried to pull away but Jared?s grip was too strong. Jared leaned forward until his lips were almost touching Jason?s left ear and whispered, ?Keep in mind what I said about cooperating.? Jared stepped back and let go of Jason?s hair. He walked behind Jason and removed the bonds. Then he handed the restraints to one of the guards and left. Uncertain, Jason just stood there, not knowing what to do. ?Come over here and have a seat,? Nathan said indicating a chair in front of a computer console. Jason walked over and sat down. He watched as Nathan did something that changed the input screen to look like a regular keyboard, it also switched the language displayed on the monitor to English. Nathan turned to face Jason and said, ?I want you to take some tests. Input your answer for every question that comes up. Simply hit the next button at the bottom of the screen when you have finished answering the question. I?ve seen your programming work so I also want you to be specific in explaining what doesn?t make any sense to you as it will better help me to asses you level of understanding.? Jason hesitated, as he was not sure what to expect from Nathan. He seemed to be kinder than Jared but he was still feeling uneasy and he had yet to see Celestia since the whole mess started. He didn?t want to even think about the possibility of Jared bothering her. Nathan sighed inwardly at Jason?s hesitation. He was pretty sure from watching him that Jared frightened him. Nathan sighed again, he would never understand anyone like that, personally he was glad he himself wasn?t Jared?s type as he was not the type to take no for an answer. It didn?t help that other than the Commander no one else outranked him. And the Commander seemed to find Jared amusing so she never stopped him from doing what he wanted. If it wasn?t for the fact that Jared was one hundred percent dedicated to his duties, even to the point that he never let his personal desires come first, Nathan was certain he would have been kicked out of the military permanently. He knew that other Commanders would have loved to find an excuse to be rid of Jared, but he was too good at what he did. Sandra had recognized his talents and requested him to serve as her second in command. Nathan hated to admit it but he had since then proved his talent and skills at commanding many times over. No one ever tried to have him dismissed any more. And those who had thought Sandra was foolish for giving him such power wisely kept quiet. Nathan decided to take a more direct approach; he just hoped Jason would trust him. ?I?m sorry, I forgot to introduce myself,? Nathan said. ?You could say that I?m the ships scientist as I write and maintain the ships computer programs. I am not a formal member of the military even though I serve aboard this ship. Please believe me when I say I have your best interests in mind.? Nathan paused for a moment and then continued, ?There is nothing I can do that will protect you from Jared, but I can tell you that your friend Celestia is safe,? Nathan paused as he searched for the right way to phrase it before continuing, ?Let?s just say that he has no interest in women, so it?s highly unlikely he will do anything to her. Other than the usual interrogation techniques if she were to refuse to cooperate.? Once again Nathan paused as he watched Jason to gauge his reaction to what he was telling him. It was obvious he was struggling to keep his expression neutral. Nathan continued, ?Believe me when I tell you that it?s in your best interests to fully cooperate. If I can prove that you are useful to the commander, it will at least protect you a little from Jared. Trust me, you don?t want to know how he likes to entertain himself.? Nathan grimaced a little. ?I hope you believe me when I say this but I?m truly sorry that you have caught his interest. Take my advice, no matter what happens, don?t make him angry. No matter what he has done, if you anger him, you will wish you were dead.? Jason felt cold all over from what Nathan had told him. He wasn?t sure why, but he felt that Nathan was telling him the truth. Part of him was relived that Jared wasn?t interested in Celestia and the other part was terrified of what Jared had in mind for him. ?I understand,? Jason replied. ?Thank you for telling me.? Jason turned to the computer console to start the test but Nathan spoke again saying, ?One other thing to keep in mind.? Jason turned to face Nathan again. ?Do not try to make Celestia?s safety a condition for your cooperation, and if you get the chance, make sure she doesn?t try to make your safety a condition for her to cooperate either. Trust me on this; you don?t want Jared using your concern for each other to his advantage. He will use it anyway, but if you force the issue in any way, you will both wish you were dead.? Jason simply nodded and then turned to start the test.

I mean my scores are kind of funny in that many of them really do fit me. ^_~ Lets see? Very High: Confidence (98) Openness (98) Extroversion (98) Agency (100) & Masculinity (96) o_O That one?s a bit weird though as I?m definitely a girl. ^_~ Slightly High/Average: Spontaneity (62) & Earthy/Imaginative (76) Low/None-Existent: Trust in others (38) Femininity (24) [Must be why I hate to wear dresses ^_~] Attention to style (14) Authoritarianism (28) Aesthetic/Functional (2) [wow, that?s so true, I always go for all the nifty features instead of how pretty something is] & Empathy (0) o_O Damn! Now Sara won?t associate with me either! :animecry:

The one thing I do know is that often what your carrier offers depends upon where you live. So in all honesty anything any of us tell you isn?t going to be all that accurate. As the basic channels for Satellite differ from city to city and such. So if you really want to know what channels you are going to get, the easiest way to find out is to call the company and ask them for a list of what channels they offer for the basic satellite. That way there will be no question as to what you get. Most people want to know what comes with the package they are getting so pretty much any service always has a list or will tell you what channels you get right over the phone. With that being said I really don?t see any further need to keep this open. So I?m going to close this thread. If you have any questions about this feel free to pm me or another member of the staff. ~SunfallE Thread Closed

Now I?m finally on my way to Airyglyph to pick up Albel for the next mission! Yay! I?m finally going to have Albel in my party! ^_^
Based on what the two of you have said I still have a long ways to go before that happens. :animesigh It?s a pity as I bet he?s a fun character even if he?s ruthless and pathetic in his ambition like Sandy mentioned. Anyway, I?ve made it to Aquaria and now I?m off on a mission to get some copper. At least I have my game guide now so I won?t have to worry about getting stuck trying to do the puzzle with the lights Aaryanna mentioned. ^_^ As for the game play, I?m still enjoying it. It?s kind of fun to set one of your characters abilities to critical hit and then once you?re strong enough in comparison to the monster, if you tap the button your character runs to the monster and does a
wicked up cut that sends the monster flying in the air. And then if you instantly hit the button again while the monsters is still in the air Fayt does a back flip and kicks the monster again during the flip!
Hehe, I just love that move. ^_^

: Before you had Jared indicating that it hadn?t occurred to him that Celestia had been used by the resistance and it just seemed that if he really was second in command that he would have considered such a possibility regardless of whether or not he thought it was possible. So I like that as it flows a little better than the previous version where he didn?t think of it. Anyway, keep up the good work. ;)
Thanks. ^_~ I was reading that part and the thought occurred to me that he wouldn't be much of a commander if such a possibility was a surprise to him, so I changed it. I'm glad you like it better.
I?m going to nominate indifference for the role of playing Jared. Not that I think she?s sadistic or a mean little shit, but I have seen her post as a villain before and let me tell you. I was ready to run the other way. Made me glad her character wasn?t real. ^_~ I?d like to be part of it too if you do an RPG, but I don?t know who I would be. o_O Anyway, keep posting! I?m enjoying the improved format. ^_^
Haha! Seems that Jared is going to end up being the character you play indifference. ^_~ As for you Mariskah, I?ve been chatting with indifference and depending on where we start the RPG there are characters that I have yet to actually write into the story and at least one of them I think would fit you perfectly. ^_~ I?ll explain it when I see you either later tonight or tomorrow. ^_^ And now on to the next chapter! And thanks for all the great comments everyone. I appreciate it. Chapter Nine: Celestia knew something was off, her bed felt wrong and her head hurt horribly. She couldn?t remember what had happened. She had been testing her new game Silver One and after that it was a blur. She tried to open her eyes but they were too sensitive to the light. Celestia reached over to get a drink from the glass of water she always kept by her bed. Suddenly it hit her! Everything that had happened came back to her in a rush. She sat up quickly but regretted it as it sent waves of pain through her head. Celestia had to lie back down as the pain sent waves of nausea through her as well. As much as she wanted to move she couldn?t. Instead she slowly opened her eyes giving them time to adjust to the light. Once they finally adjusted she took a look at her surroundings. She was still in the cell that the aliens had brought her to after they tortured her. The door to her cell opened and another alien entered. Unlike the other aliens she had a kind expression and was wearing a medical uniform. At least it looked like a medical uniform based on the sketches she had drawn for her game. ?Ah, you?re finally awake, good.? The woman said. ?My name is Crystal. I?m the ship?s doctor.? She sat down on the edge of the bed and pulled out a small device. ?Don?t be alarmed, as this is only a scanner for me to get your biological information.? She said. Celestia watched as the doctor looked at the small screen on the device she was holding. Her patient and kind expression reminded her of her own mother who had died when she was very young. The doctor finished with the device and put it back into her pocket. ?Now I?m betting you have a terrible headache, right?? she asked. Celestia nodded her head. ?I thought so,? the doctor said. ?Your genetic structure doesn?t break down the serum in the same manner as we do. I?d like to give you a little something for that if you don?t mind. I?m also going to have some food sent to you as your blood sugar is low and I believe it?s contributing to the problem. I?ll leave it up to you whether or not you take the medicine; I think you?ve already had enough forced on you for one day. I hope you?ll forgive me my dear, but I may be required to assist the Commander in further interrogations. Personally I don?t agree with the military?s methods, but I?ll still follow orders.? The doctor got up and walked towards the cell door. She stopped at the door and turned around and said, ?Oh I almost forgot, your friend Jason is here as well, I?m truly sorry child. He?s fine for the moment. Take my advice and cooperate with the Commander. You?ll make things much easier on you and him if you do.? With that final bit of advice the doctor left closing the cell door behind her. Celestia closed her eyes. She was glad that Jason was all right, but sad that he had been caught up in her problem. If she had never written that game about aliens invading, none of this would have happened! And just how exactly had she managed to be so accurate about their invasion plans? She found it hard to believe that she had gotten so many things right. It had to be more than just a lucky guess. She had actually gotten the idea from the vivid dreams she had about the aliens invading. Every little detail she had included came from her own dreams. The door to the cell opened and an alien carrying a tray entered the room. He gave her some pills, explaining that they were from the doctor. He set the tray of food and water on a small table next to the bed, turned and left. Celestia looked at the pills and decided to trust the doctor and take them. After all if they really wanted to hurt her, there was really nothing she could do to stop them. And though she wasn?t really hungry she ate just enough of the food to make sure the medicine didn?t upset her stomach. Now what was really puzzling her was how she knew so much of their plans. Were the dreams somehow being sent to her by one of the aliens? A few of Celestia?s dreams had included a resistance group dedicated to preventing their leaders from taking over other worlds. The resistance disagreed with them taking other species and turning them into slaves to serve them. She had been considering making a sequel to the game based on you being a member of the resistance working to stop your own people. She had planned on doing that if the first game was a success. Celestia figured that they must have found her by scanning the Earth looking for the most advanced forms of energy currently being used on Earth. It?s how she would do it if she were to develop such a device. Once they realized what her program Silver One was about, it was not surprising they decided to capture her. If she really had been working with the military, it could mean their invasion plans were seriously compromised. Knowing what she did Celestia doubted that they would ever let her go. Not once they realized how she got her information. If someone was actually sending her the information through dreams, they couldn?t risk releasing her. Celestia sighed. She had never imagined that something like this would happen to her as a result of creating the game. If Jason was really here, then it was unlikely they would let him go either. Somehow she knew she would have to make sure they realized that she would need him if they expected her to work for them. Celestia knew she was smart enough that they would try to use her knowledge. She would make sure Jason?s safety would be part of the deal. At that point she realized that although the medicine had gotten rid of the headache it was making her really sleepy. She set the tray back on the table and curled up under the blanket. She didn?t want to sleep but she found she couldn?t keep her eyes open any longer.

Super Otaku Force, go![/B'] :catgirl:
Well I?m all for that too. Sounds like fun. ^_~ As for the topic, no need for me to go into depth on it. Plenty of others have already pointed out how lame it was to steal the phone in the first place and then try and justify keeping it. I?d say that what happened is poetic justice and leave it at that. What can I say, not only are you entertaining John, but today you?re my hero as well. ^_~ Pity someone like you wasn't around when my Playstation2 was stolen last year. And before anyone talks about losers deserving to have it stolen, the person in question broke the front door lock to my home and did the deed while I was at work. Not the same situation, but still if I find something that's not mine, I'd turn it in as I know how much it sucks to have something stolen.

Papa Smurf and Fasteriskhead, although your discussion is interesting in how you are arguing over the semantics of posting habits and the usage of the word noise vs. sound, at this point both of you are way off topic and are instead focusing on arguing with each other and bashing the other person?s posting style. At this point both of you need to drop it and get back on topic. And since both of you disagree then I suggest you just agree to disagree and leave it at that. I?d hate to have to close the thread but if this continues that?s exactly what will happen. As for the topic, one would think that it?s rather obvious that unless the tree was in some sort of vacuum of course there is a noise associated with it?s falling. All you would have to do is place some type of recording device in a forest and later view it to see that pretty much any event like a tree falling has some sort of noise associated with it. The idea that something has to be around to hear it to make it real is pointless as such things have been happening long before there was anything around to hear it. It may not be real to us since we didn?t personally view or hear it, but it still happened just the same and arguing over it won?t change that. The noise exists whether or not anything was around to hear it.

Anyway, it?s a pity this game is single player only. Sometimes I wish games like this were multiplayer. Just think of the fun you, Aaryanna and I would have playing it together. ;)
I know what you mean. Most of the multiplayer games out there are ones I don?t really care for. And the few that I do like that are multiplayer like Crystal Chronicles or the older games like The Secret Of Mana are only multiplayer if you are together and not online. :animesigh Anyway, as for playing this game, I?ve now reached the point where I am suppose to go after Nel to help her
rescue the two women in her party that were captured by the Black Brigade.
I may not be that far along, but I can definitely see why the two of you like this game. But then I?ve always loved RPG games and ones that have a fighting system that I enjoy are even more fun. I love how easy the moves are and using the symbology spells is fun as well. I find it interesting that once they start to level up the way the spell looks changes a bit to match. Like the Firebolt spell, once you get up a few levels the number of fireballs you cast increase.
