Hence her fangirl feelings. See, she absolutely ADORES cats. Thus, she absolutely ADORES Allamorph. Well, kinda. Anyway I prefer dogs. Though I do like cats too. @Boo: now Boo, it's not nice to be jealous of the basement cat. =P @Sangome: we already know you don't do furies, you do...
Putting health insurance in the hands of the Federal government seems like it would do wonders towards getting the people what they need. But that's still a lot of power being given to them if it happens, and the sticking point is whether that power is too much.
I know this is just semantics, but they're not just putting it in the hands of the Federal government. This isn't replacing the current insurance system, it will be one of the choices. If this was handing it solely over to the government, then I might be more concerned, but it's not. Our government already has a lot of power, so where do you draw the line on what you won't let them do? Our current system is broken. So clearly reform is needed. Though whether or not this is the right reform, remains to be seen. Anyway, I'd go into more depth, but James has already covered most of what I would touch on.

Guys, I thought my image was clear, you're all starting to take this a bit too seriously. No one has been rude, indifferent perhaps, but that's about it, so I removed the posts since they were derailing the thread. Also, Korey, Ace... No back seat modding please, the two of you should know better.

My reaction to your post had nothing to do with my feelings about twitter. Just the fact that you, and pretty much everyone else, were being exceptionaly rude as a response to a simple thread. Seemed unnecessary for everyone to respond if it was nothing but snide remarks. Just like your nauseatingly sarcastic reply to my post. :animestun But I digress, I forgot this was the internet and such is to be expected. Excuse me while I enter every thread and add nothing to the subject, except a clever pun relating to my dislike for the subject/OP. You're right! Sarcasm is fun stuff.
All joking aside, that's what I think when a net site is down. I just go and find something else to do. I don't use twitter myself and I don't follow anyone who does. Sure it's no fun for people who use it, but at the same time, it's not like there isn't other means of keeping in contact with people.

If I'm sleeping or off doing something else, I turn it off. Tiny pet peeves that annoy the hell out of you... One that comes to mind is people who constantly flip the channel when you're watching TV. Unless I decide to stop watching the show that is on, I don't flip during commercials. But I know people who do and I want to take the remote from them and bash their head in with it. Net result, unless it's a movie, I rarely watch shows with other people who have a habit of flipping to other channels. It's just too damn annoying. To the point that I'd rather miss my show. Good thing I have my own TV and cable box for when I really want to watch something. ^^

Lucia would just chase them off. =P
Would she ever. lol She has way too much data to sort and analyze at the moment to tolerate them being around. I have some idea of where we are going, from AIM chats of course, but it probably wouldn't hurt to get together on stuff.
I was actually thinking the same thing, that we were coming up on needing to discuss how to proceed after this paticular event. Well I think doing that is rather stupid, but I also hope there is more to it than that. I would assume there is since the punishment seems out of proportion for what she did. Now I want to know what the other factors are. -

Searching For Truth Lucia had Ruby chase Terry and Fiero off when they showed up. She was willing to tolerate their presence for Ruby’s sake, but not when she was busy. Lucia had made that mistake before, letting them hang around when she was busy with some experiments one time. Just thinking about the memory was enough to make her groan. They had literally bombarded her with so many questions that she had chased them off within a few minutes. Obviously they didn’t understand the concept of not interrupting her while she was working. Since then, they had learned to ask Ruby if they could hang around. Otherwise, she would have made a point of telling them to never return. “You almost done Lucia?” “Yeah.” She needed to make some changes to the last square of cloth she had treated. Running her spiritual energy through it had produced results, but it needed further testing and tweaking before she could put it into use. Lucia started taking down the cloth squares and then froze when she felt the oddest stirring. “Lucia!” The cloth slipped through Lucia’s fingers and fell to the floor. What…? She turned sharply to look at Ruby whose fur was standing on end. “Lucia!” Ruby exclaimed again. “Someone is using powerful magic!” I’m feeling magic? Lucia hurriedly snatched up her communicator and started scanning. “Which direction Ruby.” She demanded. “To the south, it’s the…” “…same direction the others went.” Lucia finished for her. Her eyebrows furrowed as she narrowed the scan to cover in that direction, her left fingers flying over the controls as she input commands. The moment she had it, whatever the hell it was, she started a secondary scan to hunt for any transmissions in the area, on the off chance she might pick up on something. “What’s going on?” Ruby cried as she landed on Lucia’s shoulder and peered at the screen. “I have no idea!” Lucia shot back, even as she made adjustments to the data she was saving for analysis. If what she was picking up on was magic, it would help her build her program for tracking that later. Short bursts of something started coming over her communicator. Lucia tilted her head to the side. It was hard to make out since it kept breaking up into long bursts of static. The few times she could hear something, it was impossible to make out with all of the interference. The only thing she could sort of make out was something that sounded like "Daah Reese" or "The Dah Reese." She couldn’t be certain though. And then, the readings died off, along with the transmission she was recording. A thought crossed her mind and Lucia sat down at her computer. Would magic strong enough for her to pick it up even at this distance have been noticed by the humans? She imagined that it would and she began to send out queries for new information going up in that area. “Do you know what happened Ruby?” Ruby shook her head. “No, I could feel it, but I’m not close enough to tell what it did.” What in the world is going on? Did Phaidra do it? She started tapping the keys on her board absentmindedly while she waited for some of the searches to come back. No, that can’t be right. She didn't do anything like that when we were fighting that vampire the other week. “What are you going to do?” Ruby asked her when she had been silent for a while. She shook her head. “If I can’t find anything else, I’ll analyze the data and then call the others.” Lucia continued searching for a while and then moved on to other things, her program would let her know if something else came up. A while later, something did, but it was not what she expected. For the longest moment she just stared at the report on the news about an F5 tornado in Nevada. It took seeing the images being relayed by the humans showing the destruction for her to snap out of being surprised. “Holy hell.” Ruby finally managed. Lucia waited for it to repeat so she could record the transmission. Then she sent a message out to everyone. She didn’t know how long it would take them to get back, but she wanted them to come by the moment they returned. And for good measure, she shot off a message telling her ‘keepers’ that she wouldn’t be able to handle any assignments that evening. What the hell is going on?

John, start reading the articles then cause you're cool enough as it is. =P Anyway, I'm not even sure why people are objecting. I don't see the harm in something like this. And since most of what I would have said, has been, I'll leave it at that.
