1. For me it?s the smell of food from McDonalds. It?s nauseating. You see a while ago I had gotten some food from McDonalds and later that evening I got horribly sick. It turned out that I had the flu and not food poisoning, but since it was the type of flu that literally puts you in the hospital, I associated eating the food with getting sick. Even though I know it was just a coincidence, I still can?t bring myself to eat food from McDonalds. It?s weird, I can go to other fast food places like Wendy?s or Arbys, but the smell of McDonalds food just has me wanting to hurl.
 2.
Moving on a little, does anyone here watch Anime on Demand--or anime on networks other than CN or YTV (Showtime, G4, Razer, IFC, etc.)? Online, there's now Toonami Jetstream. Plus, you can legally watch the first episodes of Descendants of Darkness, Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight and Shamanic Princess for free at CPM's trailer site[/url'].
I'm not sure if it's what you are referring to, but I use Comcast's on Demand all the time as they usually have episodes from 10 to 30 different series showing. And after taking a quick look they have episodes from over 32 series currently available. Though that changes every week. They don't always start at the beginning, but unless it's too far in I usually give a show a chance. And since we get cable anyway, it's free. It's often how I find a new show as I'll see an episode or so and want to see more. For example I just watched the first two episodes to MoonPhase. Which by the way was actually pretty interesting and I intend to see more of it. Anyway, they usually have a movie or two in there as well. So if you have something like that, or use a service like netflix you can find out in advance if you really want to spend the money on a show. And though other's have already mentioned it, due to the nature of anime show's such as dubbing, licensing, etc. the price really isn't that unreasonable, in fact many show's are being re-released and slimpacks are becoming more popular, so in reality anime is actually becoming more affordable instead of being too expensive.
 3. I know this isn't from the pictures you posted, but the couple I tried didn't turn out right so I went to another picture from xxxHolic that I have so I hope you like it. ^_^ If not I'll understand since it's not the picture you orginally requested. Anyway here they are.
 4.
If its one thing that I give the most advice on is that finding trustworthy friends can be like trying to find a diamond in a giant sandbox. [/FONT']
That?s so true that it?s downright scary. People think that if you are popular that since you have tons of friends that life is easier somehow. But the reality is that often among all those people you know, only a few are trustworthy and close friends. In all the times I?ve had friends, only a few have always been there. It?s amazing how many of them turn out to be fair weather friends when the going gets rough. I?ll take those few special friends over being popular and having lots of friends any day.
 5. Welcome to OtakuBoards haku877, Please be aware that we have a rules page that all members are required to read before posting. These Rules and FAQ can be found on the left navigation menu and the Otaku Lounge Rules are pinned at the top of the forum. You can also use the underlined links I have just provided. I will be closing this thread since a quick look at the rules will show that post quality is very important here at OtakuBoards, especially when it is the very first post that starts the conversation. Something your first post does not do. For example you could have explained why giving the rabbit his Trix would make the world a better place. Simple lists without reasons behind them are considered spam. Once you're re-read the rules this will make more sense. If you have any questions feel free to pm myself or another member of the staff. ~SunfallE Thread Closed
 6.
You make a lot of sense SunfallE and I totally understand where you are coming from, believe me, I know. But I do not want you to say what you said without me letting you know that I never bended any of my 'major no-no's' for my wife.[/font']
Then you understand exactly what I'm talking about. ^_~ It's one thing to have differences, and believe me those are a lot of fun since you often get exposed to things you would otherwise avoid. I just wanted to clarify that point since there is a distinction between having differences and things that aren't going to be acceptable to your partner. Believe me, it was maddening since he just couldn't understand or let go of my not wanting any part of a religion. It wasn't done out of spite either. But he thought he could convert me and change me and well, it tore us apart. Anyway, I think lists are actually quite useful as they can help soon to be couples see potential problems or to more clearly see one another. My great aunt in law actually does weddings, she?s some sort of pastor/priest? I don?t remember the religion. Anyway, one of her requirements for any couple to be is to go to a therapy session and one of the things they do is go over lists of their ideal traits in a spouse. Which I suppose is why I commented on it as I think a person?s list can give an insight into what people want. ^_~
I think that if the couple really do love eachother, they can work around the turn-offs and such. But if one or the other won't do it, it can (like in SunfallE's example) ruin the relationship. It all depends on the person. I'd also like like mention that I am everything SunfallE describes. ;)
There?s my problem! All the greatest guys are online! Figures! :animesigh Edit: I forgot to mention, smoking is a big turn off and definately one of the things I will not tolerate in a boyfriend. Blech!
 7.
You know what's funny OB? We all talk about the perfect person (I posted also.) and all, but do you guys know that you can't control love? Love works it out 'all by itself'. I mean lets get real Otakus, We talk about this perfect person we want and all (And sometimes people's wishes come true. Kudos to you guys. ), but when you fall in love with someone, you fall in love, and [sorry to say] these lists you were creating [for that perfect someone] will seem to get edited or 'thrown out the window' (I know from experience). I created 'The List' too, just like all of you posting on this topic. But when I met my wife (Just another girl back then) my list sorta... 'vanished'. And the weird part is that when I had my list and while I talked to her, she was the exact opposite of my flawless list. Ugh... :animeangr ...But my heart wanted her in my life. To sum it up, Up4Anime says it best in her signiture: Don't settle for the one you can live with, wait for the one you can't live without. *Hope i'm not taking focus away from the topic at hand.* Acheron~
And here?s where couples need to be careful, in the end the list may not matter, but there are going to be things on it that you can?t ignore just because you care for someone. For example, one of the things on my list, which I?ll post in a moment, is no religious conversions. I?m willing to compromise, but I can?t and won?t become a member of something I don?t believe in,(which by the way is organized religion, so that means all of them) so trying to make it work with someone who wants me to be that way, will eventually cause a deep rift. So in that sense the list is a way for me to be honest about who and what I am. It?s not something I can throw out the window just because I love them. This is something I speak about from experience, I?ve tried to make it work with someone I truly cared for and the not becoming a member of their religion in the end doomed our relationship. I know better now, I believed in the fall in love nonsense and the reality is that in the end you can?t be untrue to yourself if you want to be happy and truly in love. You can make compromises, but lying to yourself just leaves you were others ended up, Divorced. Anyway on to the list. Having gone though that explanation the very first thing is I want a guy who is comfortable with the fact that I am not interested in joining a religious group. I?m not so picky about the looks, but being in fairly decent shape helps and hygiene is a must. Sorry guys, but nothing turns off romantic or lustful feelings quicker than nasty body order. Being funny and witty is a must, especially being able to laugh at yourself, and perfection is most certainly not required. A lot of my friends have pets so liking, or at least tolerating cats and dogs is also a good thing.
 8.
Chillax, Acheron. Contrary to what other's say the moderators here aren't Nazis too often.
I guess I should return my uniform yes? ;) Seriously though, it?s true, so it?s not really necessary like both DeathKnight and Blase already said. Anyway...My first goal was to live on the moon and then later travel to different planets. But sadly I grew up and realized that this goal was not possible. So I went to the next thing I enjoyed. Computers. So I learned about computers and worked for different companies like Compaq and Hewlett Packard before I got a job doing tech support for Microsoft. Then the reality of third party vendors outsourcing to India hit and with it my job also disappeared. So I went to my next thing I had wanted to do, which was travel. So I got a job as Semi Truck Driver. It wasn?t the same as going on vacation, but I enjoyed driving along the west coast in and a fair number of other states as well. Another reality check entered at this point and family and legal obligations interfered with my ability to be away from home three weeks at a time. So I came back home, and now I?m looking into a new career once things settle down. I still like computers and one of the companies here is going to be hiring 1300 new people for making chips that are used in cell phones and other electronics. And they have the added bonus of they pay for any schooling you need for the job. About the only dream I haven?t gotten to yet is the one where I travel to Japan and Germany as I want to visit the gardens and shrines in one and the castles in the other. Though if I get the new computer job coming up, it almost pays as well as trucking did, so those dreams won?t be that far off.
 9. Well I?ve been a little of both, popular and unpopular and even a third. Infamous. In grade school I was infamous. I was small and other kids assumed I was an easy target for bullying. Something they learned very quickly was completely wrong. So during those lovely grade school years everyone knew my name, the teachers, other kids, even other parents. It?s not that I was a bully, but if a teacher did something like pull your hair, which one of mine liked to do, my answer was to take one of the kick balls and when they walked out onto the playground to make sure everyone came in from recess. Well I would take that kickball and throw it as hard as I could at her head. I figured if she was going to pull my hair, she needed to know that it hurt and since I couldn?t reach up to pull her hair, well in my second grade child mindset I figured hitting her would do just as good. The same went for other kids, if you hit me I would beat you up for it. Then when I was in Junior High and High School, at least for part of it, my parents got divorced and my mom took us to live in Texas with her relatives. Then I became unpopular as no one wanted to be friends with one of the only ?Mormon? kids in the whole school. There were three of us, me, my brother and another girl. I got a good education, but I had very little in the way of friends. Then for the last part of my High School years my mom moved back to Utah. And at the new school I was popular. I didn?t do anything to get that way so it was kind of a surprise to me. I?m not super popular, but since then I?ve always had lots of friends. I don?t necessarily like a lot of attention, but I do enjoy chatting with others and often I?ve been told that I?m very friendly. I would imagine that the main thing that makes someone popular is they are fun, friendly and nice to be around. Something that doesn?t require being super attractive to achieve. As for the fake popular, those never work as it?s usually obvious that in the end they only care about themselves.
 10. I got hurt on the job last year. So as a result I was stuck at home needing to keep my knee up while I got better. To help with the boredom of watching TV or playing video games all day long, I started browsing online through different anime forums. One of the members at one of the sites, mentioned myOtaku so I checked it out and signed up. I then realized that I misunderstood the person and came over to OB as I had been looking for discussions not a blog. It?s probably a good thing I did since the other places, though the people were friendly, were just a glorified spam fest, and I had become disillusioned with online forums. It just seemed so pointless as the conversations were so lacking. So then when I returned to work, I still kept stopping by and now that my situation is different I visit every day.
 11. Well if we are talking about a dictatorship here, loud music will be the first thing to go. Any idiot caught playing music loud enough to rattle your house or anyone else?s house or even near you will be executed on the spot. Being rich is not allowed. Anyone caught saving enough money over a certain point will have everything taken from them, hung out in a cage to slowly die from starvation and exposure and their money and wealth they were acquiring would become mine. Having too much money leads to power and others using it to fund a rebellion. Anyone who is cruel to animals, especially dogs will be fed to hungry lions. People who plagiarize and steal or any other type of crime like rape, murder, etc. will also be tortured. Want to have children? Not until you?ve passed a socialization test and can prove you?re worthy. If you totally fail this test, you will be stripped of the ability to even reproduce. Children will have to attend mandatory classes on how not to be a brat, that?s right no more vandalizing your neighbor?s yard or breaking into their cars, death awaits those who fail the class on how to not be a pain in the butt. Parents who do nothing to stop their kids from doing this type of thing will also die. And most importantly, no religion allowed. Anyone caught preaching any type of religion or saying that they are part of one dies. There is no God in my dictatorship.
 12. Lets see, when I?m not working (which is right now) I work on various projects around the house, help with cleaning and fixing the meals. Then I spend a certain amount of time on my own projects like some scrap booking I?m currently working on, a database that I?m finishing putting together and then once I?ve done that I spend time with my friends, do a little reading, play video games and often make anime wallpapers as by then my brain is too fried from other things to think clearly enough to do more complex stuff. Like finish some articles I started for theOtaku a while back. Fortunately things are slowing down since I get up and from the moment I am awake, I have stuff I?m working on all day and I?m starting to feel a little burned out. All those projects seemed like a good idea until they started taking up a huge chunk of my free time. So I?ll be glad when I finish up a few things within the next week. Though I?ll probably just replace them with finishing those articles I started and just end up back where I was to begin with, too busy. ^_~ The thing I always look forward to the most is that my family pretty much always goes on vacation every year (well before my father got really sick and nearly died from cancer) But if things keep going the way they are, we will be taking a short vacation near the end of September up in Yellowstone National Park. I may have been there many, many times, but there?s always new things to check out. So that?s my favorite thing to do outside of the Otaku stuff I also enjoy.
 13. What do I think? I think emo is an overused slang word used to describe everything from a choice in music, to a range of fashion styles to someone?s attitude. Much in the same way that I remember hearing people referred to as a punk or as being Goth. The fact that someone wears tight pants, black make-up, or does any of the things commonly associated with ?emo? doesn?t necessarily mean that they are or that there is anything wrong with calling yourself one. I think emo is just something that on some level they can identify with and those who don?t just assume that they are suicidal or don?t have a life. Much in the same way people once thought the same thing about punks or someone who is Goth.
However, "emo's" do have a habit of complaining about stuff and not taking action right away. But "emo's" problem's are generally not related to popularity, more like life in general!
Actually a lot of people do this whether they are emo or not. As it seems that complaining is far easier than actually doing something about the complaint itself. Now as for all the comments about tight pants. I don?t think that wearing tight pants makes you an emo. I wear stretch denim jeans because they are comfortable, not because they look ?tight? Though I avoid black since that color holds in the heat when you are out in the sun.
 14.
The backgrounds are really well made but the stock image doesn't match very well together. But the background images are really impressive. I might start to maybe try to get that program too. lol.
Actually I agree, it was more of a curiosity to try them more than anything, and that one was a request. And I?ve still a few more requests to do as well. But overall I?ve never been a fan of mixing anime with realistic looking pictures, even if they were created by a program and not an actual photo. As for getting the program, it?s actually free if you or anyone wants to use it. It doesn?t even require much space as the actual program is about 10 mb.Terragen There?s also a tutorial that goes over the basics of what you can do with the program. Something I?m still working through. Tutorial The only drawback is you have to save a lot since there isn?t an undo button so if you make a change and don?t like it you?re stuck with it. Once you?ve got things set, there?s a render preview section, the rendering process takes forever. Especially if you up the level of details for a higher quality picture. The background in the third one took about seven minutes to render and that?s with over a gig of ram and 128 mb graphics card. Though for a free program it does a pretty good job.
As for the cropping, instead of using the magic eraser, I just use a regular eraser and zoom into the image at about 300% and slowly manually erase the edges. Although it might take a lot more time and work, I find it alot more accurate.
Thanks! I feel a bit stupid since I have been zooming in a bit, but only to about 200% I just did another request and once I went in further to 300% and in a few areas even more, well it made the cropping much easier. ^_^
 15. Actually it would be interesting to see if there was actually someone out there who had siblings who weren?t annoying/stupid, etc. Anyway, I?ve had a combination of both younger and older siblings who were a total pain in the butt. For the older it was a case of I?m older and if I want to use your stuff, too bad. And then the younger thinking they could get away with it by lying and telling my parents that I said they could. And arguing with my parents never solved anything, especially since my mom was the type to use my things on the basis that she was the adult and didn?t need permission! The good thing is eventually they grow up. Now that won?t guarantee that they won?t keep being a pain in the butt, however, often it means you no longer live together. Like the older brother I have who got married and lives in another state altogether. He?s still a pain in the butt and when he visits he will just start using my stuff and lie and say I said it was okay. So obviously growing up didn?t make him any smarter, I feel sorry for his kids. The younger ones actually went from getting into everything to actually sharing and asking first. So there is hope for some of them. But until that day comes, well I?d password protect your computer if possible. Something I do anyway, since a number of my relatives can and will get into my computer when they visit, and they are too rude to ask if it?s okay.
 16. Zero, I will be closing this since the type of posts we like to see on the OtakuBoards are ones that will generate quality discussions, the ?add words to the story? threads do not meet that criteria. Just take a look at this and you will see why: Three Word Story These types of threads tend to degenerate fairly quickly, which is why they are not allowed. If you have any questions feel free to pm myself or another member of the staff. ~SunfallE Thread Closed
 17. Recently, thanks to another myOtaku member, I acquired the program Terragen for making backgrounds. Now I?m still working through the guide on how the program works and learning what I can do with it, so in the effort to learn I?ve made several wallpapers where the backgrounds were made with Terragen. Wallpaper Number 1 Wallpaper Number 2 Wallpaper Number 3 The last one was a request by another myOtaku member and since they have also sent me several other character pictures asking if I would put them on a similar type of background. (They saw the second one with the mountains and the lake and liked it) I thought I would come here and ask for some feedback on what I?ve done so far. The biggest flaw I?ve noticed is that it?s hard to cleanly separate the character picture from the original background. Right now I?m using Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and though the magic eraser does help, often it takes part of the character away as well. So if anyone has some tips on how to make that easier, or if you see any other glaring mistakes, well any feedback would be greatly appreciated. ^_^
 18. It sounds to me like the guy you encountered is just a jackass and not necessarily an indication that women are being disrespected. Nor do I agree with what others have said about men in general being jackasses. I suppose that part of why I say that is having lived in three different states, traveled a lot due to my past job as a Truck Driver, well it?s been my experience that being a jackass was never about whether the person was a guy or a girl. I?ve run into cases of disrespectful and rude people in both the male and female population. I?ve never noticed a trend of it being gender specific. It?s true that society tends to attempt to force both men and women into certain roles, but even then I?ve still noticed that regardless of the social influence there are both who even though they attempt to be say the tough guy who doesn?t cry or the sensitive woman who does, I still run into cases of one who is a jerk and another who isn?t. On some level I can?t and won?t blame the parents. Yes they do play an important role, but sooner or later both sexes reach the point where they choose to continue being a jerk. So the parents may have started the cycle, but ultimately, especially once you are an adult, the person chooses to continue to be ignorant and as a result a jackass in the process. They have become lazy and unwilling to see if their views about women or in the case of a woman their view about men is even accurate or acceptable.
 19. This needs to stop. First of all MomochiZabuza... Mr. Maul was referring to your statement that was in one of the previous paragraphs and a simple I already mentioned I shouldn?t believe everything I hear, would have been sufficient. Secondly, insulting another member by telling them to shove it or any other type of phrase is unacceptable. Apologizing after the fact doesn?t cut it. If you are having a stressful day, then don?t post until you can leave that stress out of your posts. And Esther, if someone is being insulting, don?t return the favor by implying that they are a hypocrite, just use the report bad post button at the top right corner of the post and let one of us take care of it. And finally? lets keep this civil people. I intend to leave this open for now, but if it continues this thread will be locked.
 20.
The LDS/Mormon Church is infamous for keeping their members as ignorant as possible.

Speaking of which, I remember how in Sunday school, the woman "teaching" us told us how tanning agents are in coffee, and if you drink it, your stomach will turn to leather. Now, I was only six, so I believed her, and didn't drink coffee for the longest time. But then I hit middle school and realized I had been brainwashed for years! Now, I don't believe in any god at all, and I honestly don't see why anyone would. It's weak. But that's just my opinion, so whatever. I just don't think we should place blind faith in a figure no one has ever spoken to. And don't go quoting your messiah and prophet crap to me, because no one knows if they really exist. Honestly, would it be so hard to accept the fact that yes, we evolved from apes?
Actually that?s not what I was referring too. When I said that they are keeping their members ignorant, I was speaking about how they don?t teach members that other religions and groups have a different view of what is historically accurate in regards to the founding of the LDS/Mormon Church. So often when a member runs into others making fun of the LDS/Mormon Church they honestly don?t understand because as far as they are concerned, everything they have been taught about the history of the church is accurate. So there is a lot of mistaken perceptions surrounding the LDS/Mormon Church as often anything that contradicts their view on how things came to be is suppressed. I was not implying that they deliberately go around lying to people or brainwashing them. This thread isn?t about what LDS/Mormons believe, it was more about why were people making fun of the religion.
 21.
Am I in an echo chamber? Am I an internet ghost? I thought people only had ignore buttons in chat rooms, not message boards. Now, I wasn't really expecting anyone to read the whole post - it's a bit difficult and takes awhile - but the response to the agape/"philio" thing was in my first paragraph. I do not understand, unless people now see Kimura up there and immediately know to just skip the whole thing. On the other hand, if you only happened to miss my response the first time around: there it is!! Unfortunately I haven't been able to dig up any better introductory discussions on the eros/philia/agape thing since last time, and I looked around quite a bit. I worry that the article I linked above (here it is again) is somewhat difficult and technical, but if you're just trying to get the gist of the differences it'll probably do. Give it a shot.
I read your response, but I was more interested in finding out what Hanabishi Recca thought it meant. Since she might have had a different idea than what you had explained as to what it actually meant. And that untimately shapes her response as it's based on what she believes they mean. ^_^ I always read your posts Fasteriskhead, even if sometimes I get the end and still don't completely understand what you are getting at. :p
 22. Since this seems to be focusing more on TV commercials it belongs in the Music, Movies & TV section. Now as for the actual topic, I saw a TV commercial for Dairy Queen the other day were a husband & wife pick up one of the shakes there. When the husband takes a bite he starts daydreaming that his pregnant wife gives birth to a son. When she takes a bite she starts to daydream that it?s him who is pregnant and at the hospital while he?s in labor he tells her the standard ?you did this to me!? line. It was totally absurd but oddly funny at the same time. As for one I can?t stand, well the A-1 Steak sauce one where a total stranger is eating someone else?s steak even with the woman sitting there telling him to stop eating. That one is beyond annoying. I mean seriously, if someone sat down at my table and started eating food that was for someone else, I?d punch their lights out.
 23.
Why must love be unfair to those who need it most? Why must love mock us when we hurt so much? Life can be cruel, and yet sometimes life can be wonderful. We live...for what? to accomplish something...or to rise above all? But what is it we accomplish? We spend our whole lives striving...but for what? the meaning of life?
Because in the end love is a want and not a need. To say that one needs love is to say that some force outside ourselves is required for us to live. And though on some level that's true, the reality is that unlike oxygen, which is a need as only a few minutes without would mean death, love ultimately is something people want. Circumstances in life can seem cruel, but many of them are no more than what you make of it. Striving for something comes down to wanting something besides acquiring the things necessary for literal life such as water, food, shelter, etc. For each person that?s going to depend on what they want. Having a set meaning to life is to me not necessary to enjoy my life. Now perhaps you could take the time to answer your own questions?
Also, mods & admins I'm not trying to convert this man. Just leave this post alone. I just thought I would give some words of wisdom and I'm not going to like it if you delete this post like some of my others. I wasn't trying to be mean in those. But whatever is good with you. Just try to have good judgment.
Hanabishi Recca, that?s really not necessary as no one has a problem with you expressing what you think. So lets leave this type of stuff out okay? Anyway, perhaps you could explain the differences between Philio and Agapa? I for one am not quite sure what you are trying to say. In one sentence you say Philio is the selfish type of love and then in another you say Philio is the gods type of love, so it doesn?t make much sense. Unless you are saying that god?s love is selfish. Though that still makes no sense to me.
 24. I usually avoid threads on this topic since I find both sides annoying in that it?s a never-ending they did this so we will do this and so on and so on.
Furthermore, a major factor that contributed to this raid was the fact that on June 20th, about a dozen civilians were killed on the beach by Israeli missiles. One girl lost her entire family.
So how does that justify killing two people and kidnapping another? It makes no sense that they are asking for the release of women and children instead of justice for the civilians who were harmed by the missiles. Seems more like they used it as an excuse to continue the pointless violence in that area.
The massive sonic boom often breaks windows, shakes entire apartment buildings and terrifies the people of Gaza. It can cause misscarriages too.
That statement has no basis in medical fact. Even when a detailed evaluation is performed, when a woman miscarries the cause remains unknown in about half of the cases. I?m not saying that using sonic boom?s is nice, only that making such a claim is off the deep end since it?s not provable.
Anyway, what are your opinions of this matter? Is Israel's response justified, going a little overboard? Were the militants justified in holding the soldier hostange in exchange for innocent women and children held in Israeli jails? Should Israel release these prisoners? I personally think that they should release the prisoners. There's no reason to go to such extremes to save the soldier if the simple solution is agreeing to release innocents.
I think neither side is justified. Nor do I think the prisoners should be released in response to the threat of killing the soldier. I?m not in favor of keeping the women and children in jail, but now they?ve put themselves in the position of if Israel does let them go it will encourage further kidnappings and killings.
Of course the arab countries didn't like it when Israel was founded. Thousands of palestinians lost their homes in 1948 (including my grandparents) who were from Ashkalon. Britain had control of the reigion during the mandate, so they resricted palestinian movement and sold land to jews. The palestinians couldn't stop that from happening. Then in 1948 Israel declares independence and starts kicking palestinians out. The arabs waged war with Israel, and lost, but that's no reason that Israeli has the right to exist. It was created through dishonest ways. I can't believe anyone should be okay with people invading other countries and stealing their land just because they won a war "fair and square". What if let's say, France decided to invade the U.S and make it their new land. Of course Americans would fight to the bitter end, and even if France won, they would continue to fight, just like what the palestinians are doing now. Just because you think the creatiion of Israel was legal and fair, doens't mean the arabs think so. The fact remains that palestinians were kicked out, and they have every right to try to get back their land. My grandparents have the right to the land that was stolen from them. And in 1967, again my grandparents had to flee to Jordan to escape the war, and lost yet another home. My mother was 5 at the time. So tell me, why shouldn't palestinians fight to get their homes back?
And I?m sure that the Indians didn?t like it when America was founded either. That?s not exactly a new thing, one group losing land to another. Everyone has the right to exist and if we were to fall back on the it was dishonest how it was created, well we might as well get rid of quite a few countries since many of them were not completely honest when they were set up. Your grandparents lost their land, so at this point why are they still fighting? Getting it back is unlikely to happen so on some level I don?t understand why people refuse to move on. As you put it they waged a war with Israel and lost. You?re assuming that everyone would continue to fight even if it was hopeless. If America was invaded and it was apparent that I could not kick them out, I would want to end it instead of needlessly killing even more people over a piece of land. Somewhere down the line the cycle of hatred needs to end and if it were me I'd want to be one of the ones who ended it.
 25.
Do you ever feel like that the username you use gives you a set personality?
Not really. It doesn?t change who I am or how I post. I choose my user name since the character it?s from has been one of my favorite characters from a novel for a very long time.
Anyhow, the main reason I change my username is that I felt like I've evolved/matured from that username and need to make a new one that describes me better than before. Why do you change your username? Do you feel that a specific username you've used has been given a certain personality by other users?
Well seeing that I?ve had a variation of the same name as my e-mail for over nine years and that the plates on my car also say Sunfall, I don?t see myself changing my username any time soon. For the most part it never occurred to me. If it gives me a perceived personality among other members, well, not much I can say about that. I know that for the most part I don?t assume someone is a certain way because of their username. Though the one?s with weird symbols and spellings, do make it difficult for me to guess what they might be like. But usually I wait to see how they post before I decide what their personality is like.
