I am torn between 3 sigs this week, and I have to say they all have qualities that relate to the topic and make everyone's sig vote-worthy, but the three I can't draw my eyes from are by jigglyness, Lrb and SaiyanPrincessX. jigglyness - I have to say that your banner catches my attention for all the reasons already listed. Excellent work; LrB - what a quote. Its so true and really makes you think. No imagery is necessary. Somewhat opposite of what jigglyness has done. Good job; SaiyanPrincessX - overall a good piece of design work. You might see something like this as a banner for a website. The colours are catching, and I like the text. The silhouette behind the text was a great idea; There are lots of other things about those 3 sigs that make me want to vote for all three, but that's cheating :P For simple personal aesthetic reasons, SaiyanPrincessX gets my vote. Again excellent work by everyone.

Everything was done from scratch [aside from font, cheated there]. I figured I'd try to get the ghosts right by eye, so they're a little off. Also, traditionally the ghosts don't have the black outlines. Font was Arcadepix

Only just got my hands on it so I'm absolutely thrashing their music...yes I'm cruel to music. Currently Thrashing: Marina Gasolina - Bonde Do Role They're a Brazilian band, real happy sound. Good to just have fun and party to, cannot get enough of it. If you're Australian you might recall a certain Bonds ad on TV in which this song featured, while a whole lot of girls danced around in their knickers. I'm sure it's on youtube. ...you're sick. You just looked it up didn't you?

Lol WHAT have you done to our entries Boo? Do I have to put it up again so people can see what it really looks like? April Fool's Day was MONTHS ago man.
but the fact is, the bright light that shone on her face caused her eyes to look like that, so because of the lighting it will remain as is.
First off I'll ask if you did the vector portraits in Illustrator; if you do there is one way i know of that you can edit colours of individual blocks of colour. That is to go to Object>Flatten Transparency, and slide the Raster/Vector Balance in the top right corner to 'vectors', or type in 100 in the number box. This should separate all the colour blocks for individual editing. Alternatively if you have Photoshop you can play with the brightness/contrast after selecting her eye, but I'm sure you'd thought of that and decided it didn't look as good that way. All that aside, you have some amazing work right here. My fave is probably the first tshirt design, with the 'Eve' representation. I really cannot wait to see more of your work.

Discuss Idea: Ridiculously Over-powered and Mature Kiddies RPG Anyone?

Discuss Idea: Ridiculously Over-powered and Mature Kiddies RPG Anyone?

By all means if you guys want to take the idea a step further and flesh it out, be my guests. I'm stepping down like I mentioned a post ago. I have a lot of learning to do if I'm to get anything across properly so I'll busy myself doing that before I make any attempts at starting an RP. -
Discuss Idea: Ridiculously Over-powered and Mature Kiddies RPG Anyone?

Ouch Raiha that all cut deep. Real deep. And it hasn't even been 24 hours and I already have 12 posts to read an reply to. Personal best, go me :P [insignificant unknown poster scores!] This wasn't really aimed as a complaint, rather a silly idea for an RP. I just wanted to gauge the reaction to an idea of a blunt exaggeration of some of the games I've read over the past year. Sorry if I offended I really didn't mean to ^^; And I think Allamorph kinda hit the nail on the head. Oh, and this thread was my attempt at making my own RPG, Shy... And...I actually haven't applied for ANY RP's for over an age, and if I have I've forgotten... Anyway yeah it's not really a complaint but just a fun idea I was throwing out there. I think it's fun anyway. Anyway I'll go back into hiding now. This caused too much trouble than it was worth. Sorry for wasting your time :animestun EDIT: Wow I just read my opening post in a context that maybe some of you were looking at it in, and yeah I sound like a prig. Forget I ever mentioned any of this. And I always spell magick as magick...unless someone starting a game spells it a different way. I just go with what's being lead as my current example. [Current example is FFXII...so sorry for sounding 'self-righteous'] Over-reaction much? -

Please don't think that all Christians are this way.
Not all, but as usual there are a few that are. This was released about an hour after the official statement of dear Heath's death. Kudos to my buddy for keeping up to date on the whole evangelists situation: http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/19627377.html Yeah. They did. And we will all hate them for eternity for doing it. Not all religious people, just the nutcases that released the statement. *sighs* H.L will be dearly missed. He was one of the Aussie greats, and he did many good things in the time he was with us. Thank you Heath. May you rest in Peace, and may those dear to you rest well knowing you do so. -Sat

So I was reading through a few of the current and past RP's, and well while some of them are top quality reads [in between playing Harvest Moon - I'm that hardcore - and working two jobs, the only RP time I get here is the reading time], others are becoming more and more lacklustre, and some of the more common roleplayers surface with each large-scale RPG that is run. Not to point the finger or make out that there's a problem here, but it's almost like I've seen the same group of players in all the big ones every time a big one hits :animedepr [Yes, you put the effort in. Kudos to you] Anyway moving on more to the point. So while I was reading some of the 'not so successful' RPs I noticed a common element; the characters were ridiculously underage, with overly mature ideas and situations being played out. The characters being suggested or put forward have mature personalities and outlooks. Not that there's a problem with this, but I've noticed that when you play a role of a 17 year old with a 29 year old personality, the age gap within the character clashes, and you can't really get into it. Feel free to correct my wrongness here if you can do so without flamage :) So here's my basic off the cuff idea: Let's do a play on failure, let's aim to tackle world politics with 10 year olds pulling the strings; let's take over the planet with toddlers; let's play the role of religious leader with a pre-schooler. Not only will we be ridiculously young, but we will have the brains and thought processes of 30 year olds, and the financial capacities of world leaders. We will be trained in all schools of magick and weaponry far better than anyone who has unlocked all licences in the 'Weapons' category on the license board in Final Fantasy XII. Thoughts and questions? Post them here. Problems? If you can keep the blame flame and name [calling] to a minimum post away, otherwise complaints go straight to me so no one know's you're being silly :P Thanks guys -Sat

Yeah, I thought it was funny that after all the US Army could pull out of their rear end,
they couldn't kill it.

Well now that a few people have seen the film, I hope that you all paid attention to the final scene of Coney Island on the handycam.
It links Rob and Beth's day together to what happens a month later, as you see *something* fall into the ocean in the distance over their shoulders.
One thing I personally didn't quite understand after the credits was the static. There were some words uttered, and until I went and looked it up on Wikipedia I was completely lost. What's said makes the US military seem like they're a waste of time and money if you ask me...haha.

Haha, sorry Dagger, but my mate was telling me that Australian Film Law requires that all movies be released on Thursdays. I don't know if he was just pulling my leg when he said this next part but you never know, I'm pretty gullible. Since the producers/directors of Cloverfield wanted a worldwide release [and we have our rules, other countries have theirs], Australia got it 36 hours or something along those lines before a whole lot of other places... Also, there was a MySpace Black Curtain pre-screening of it on Wednesday. I'm surprised more Aussies haven't posted their thoughts here? Go see it already! :D
