I'm terrible. I cry at everything from Oprah Winfrey to Ben Hur. :animecry: :animecry: Urm, but I guess the animes that I particularly remember for inducing tear glands are Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (I cried out of rage. I HATE that boyfriend-stealing blue haired girl. I was so sorry for Haruka!) and... strangely enough, Gravitation. The way Yuki treated Shindou sometimes was so much like an old boyfriend of mine... I was crazy about him but he turned out to be a big jerk. I too remember being distracted the whole day because of the cold way he treated me, and sadly, falling asleep outside his door after pleading with him to let me in! THANKFULLY those days are over. The difference is that of course Yuki treated Shindou so erratically because he had such a troubled past himself that he couldn't deal with it even though he really loves SHindou. In my case, MY ex-boyfriend was just a huge jerk!! :animesigh

Anime Best and worst anime or Manga charatcers to have as roommates
zensho replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
GET OUT 1) That blue haired boyfriend-stealing girl from Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien!! I cannot remember her name coz I HATED her so much. God, can you imagine what she could do to me if she could steal her best friend's boyfriend? Plus, I couldn't trust myself not to THROTTLE her... 2) Usopp from One Piece. Can you imagine waking up and seeing that face in the dark? 3) Any high-pitched, school-uniform wearing girl . My ears couldn't stand it. DOZO PLEASE COME IN! 1) ANY of the Wolf's Rain bishies but first place reserved for KIBA! HE IS MINE!!! He would make such a cool roommate, and I'd have a pet dog to snuggle up whenever needed and he'd protect me too! KIBA IS MINE! :catgirl: 2) Touya Akira from Hikaru no Go. Hasn't anyone on these forums watched that anime? It's really great! Anyway, Touya'd be the perfect room mate. Quiet, neat, polite, doesn't have noisy friends to invite over, and is out all day playing GO in competitions. He's also got great hair so he'd probably be able to share some hair-styling products with me. 3) Rin and Sango from Inuyasha. They're like my two sisters (older and younger) that I wish I had. We could have pyjama parties, eat ice-cream and swap boy stories! :animesmil -
I hope some studio sees this and decides to produce it because my ideal anime would sort of go like this... 1) Time travel/ Split dimensions 2) Post apocalyptic 3) LOTS and LOTS :animesigh of BISHONENS :animesmil wearing LOTS and LOTS of leather and with LOTS and LOTS of beautiful golden/black/purple long hair :animeswea 4) ... one sensible heroine who doesn't have a high pitched squealy voice and never wears a school uniform. Must be able to handle weapons and have psychokinetic powers. 5) ...one absolutely delicious YAOI couple, angsty, hopelessly devoted to each other, saving each other's lives all the time. :animestun 6) Plot? erm...all right, i haven't even got that far yet but i suppose some save the world from evil (but glompable) baddie stuff and falling in love and happy ending (I'm a BIG one on happy endings) :catgirl: Which makes you wonder why i watch so much anime because 9 times out of 10, the endings are all so darn SAD!!! :animecry:
[i]A question of taste: For some reason, I just never get into series dedicated to gay people...like Gravitation. I watched the anime series and like it for a while, but I haven't even touched the manga... CLAMP intends for the two main characters to get together, or it's some fanservice thing.
WWHHHAAA!? I absolutely LOVED :catgirl: Gravitation! :catgirl: I wonder why you don't like series which focus on yaoi relationships... you're certainly not the only one! Maybe you like the 'what if' fantasy/ imagination element. We all like to dream... :animeblus I for one obsessed over the characters in Hikaru no Go (see my sig) :animesmil getting it on although they never did in the anime. But I still think that I would pay good GOOD money to watch an episode with them getting happy together hee hee lord knows i've already spent enough money on doujinshi featuring them...i'll say though that sometimes we just don't want the sexual tension to end because, like falling in love, it's that first three months that makes us all warm and squishy! Having said that, give me my Gravitation and Ai no Kusabi anytime!

I used to like Inuyasha, but after watching the entire anime series at 167 episodes and the manga up to Volume 40 something, I'm just really tired of it. I mean, kill Naraku already, and get over Kikyou, and just stop milking fans for their money RT! *ducks Inuyasha fans* :animeshy: I really think I just grew out of it, I mean, how many different ogre-like monsters can you keep drawing? I really think the series should have ended after the shichinintai bit. Those of you who want to move on, watch... 1) Full Metal Alchemist (steampunk madness!) 2) Wolf's Rain (relatively new, only came out in 2003 but it's the by the studio who did Cowboy Bebop and wow, they outdid themselves). 3) Hikaru no Go (really, it's MORE than just a 2000 yr old board game...) my favourite anime of all time?... Possibly Rurouni Kenshin... :D

Anime If you could have three things from any anime, what would they be?
zensho replied to instantramen14's topic in Otaku Central
If I could have 3 things from any anime.... 1) My personal pet wolf Kiba from Wolf's Rain to guard me and let me scratch his ears and bite any other female that tries to get within ten feet of him...ooh, I'd get him such a cool black leather studded collar... 2) A dirty video tape of Touya and Shindou from Hikaru no Go getting it on, preferably on a goban, preferably in the room of deep contemplation... (I know there must be one somewhere...) ;) 3) The magical anime self-repairing clothes that apparently can withstand rain, snow, water, gunfights, evil magic and even nuclear explosions. THink about it! No more laundry! Hmm, but I guess wearing the same outfit for years in a row could get tiresome... :animesmil
