1.
The fight between Edward's Dad and Spike in Cowboy Bebop.
Wow!! When'd that happen!? (speeds away to grab the DVDs and filler-ep.s) Anyway, BTTTAH: ~the ending to Bebop. ~The ending to Trigun. ~The death of "X", wherein it wasn't absolutely blatant. (In previous equation, replace "X" with nifty character from any number of excellent Anime.. I.E. Bebop, Trigun, Samurai-X/Kenshin, etc.)
 2.
The thoughts that come often to my head are my nightmares. I can never sleep or even day dream because they are after me
Yep, I'm with ya on this one. Mine're out to get me, too. If I'm thinkin' about something, anything, really... My mind constantly free-associates. Kinda gets me P.O.'ed, since I can't turn it off. If I'm really bored (I.E. At work), I tend to daydream, which really isn't good. I daydream some pretty horrible things. No details, but let's just say I've been known to gasp, and throw myself outta the way of something that's not there. I hate my imagination...it's evil. :animesigh
 3. '95, forest-green Buick LeSabre. It had previously been broken into/stolen, and once the lady fixed the door, and replaced the *utterly destroyed* steering column/casing/wheel, She sold it to me for 1100 bucks. Pretty fly if you ask me. It's only got 98,000 miles on it (yeah, "only"... ^_^;; ), and she NEVER listened to the radio. I had the tape-player replaced, since my constant use fried it, and a CD/MD player wouldn't be compatible. I've got a sony in there now. Sounds're crystal, and with the "speaker-savers" tweaked, the bass is pumpin', and that rumble/crunch sound that's so common with stock-speakers is completely gone. Once the speakers go, i'm puttin in some X-plod, assuming i can fork the cash in a few years. Being an 18-yo, white male, with "good grades", living in Jersey means that since i got pulled over, I've got a 1400$ federal-tripe-fine to pay the state, a 103$ ticket, and about 500$ lawyer fees. :animeangr Addition!: Quincy Archer reminded me... I have no Gas Gague... Something's messed up within the console, and it's more of a very accurate RPM gague. I've worked it out to getting almost exactly 317 miles to-the-tank in the spring/summer, and only 248 in the fall/winter.
 4. I've got a few ringtones. About 20 built in (they kinda suck) and two that I downloaded. My normal ringer is the refrain from Shinedown's "45". Hearing a quick drums blast and then "And I'm starin' down the barrel of a forty-five!" is just fitting when stuck in an 8-hour Boscov's shift... And as an inside joke between me and a friend, the ringtone i have set for when she calls is the theme from Tales of Symphonia. Her cell however, allows her to record her own ringtones. Her default ringtone is Scampi from Weebls-stuff. The ringtone she has set for me is a recording of Dam Dariram from DDR, and my subsequent cursing in the background when i cut my foot on a screw in the stand. Easily the most annoying ringtone i've heard, though, would have to be that "nokia-sound" ringtone. I'm amazed at the ever-present quest for uniqueness, some just don't bother to change the default.
 5. another question. I've had this problem before. Works the same across PS2 PS1 Dreamcast and Gen1 Gamecubes: If you save often, (several times in an hour, etc.), the card's memory gets 'hot' and tends to corrupt more frequently. I've this problem most-prominently on the PS2 and Dreamcast. My gen1 Gamecube also had this problem, though not as frequently. Sometimes, it has to do with the position of the optical-drive, and the port address of the memory card. If they're close, occasionally, they tend to overlap through error, and therefore they corrupt. Obviously, your level of risk increases when you save very often. I'm not positive as to the other factors with this, but some games make fairly unstable saves. One major problem was PSO on the dreamcast & G1 GCN, and Seaman for the DC. Those both save constantly, and don't necesarily allow the memory card to cool off and hard-code the info. Imagine your gamesave being molten lead, and the card being a mold. If you let it cool, you get a perfect shape out of the metal. If you keep dumping it in, and flipping it over to make room for another new batch, the molds will/may come out misshapen, and corrupted.
 6.
I feel like I am my most creative during those times. I think it's because it is so quite, no cars driving by, kids playing outside, phone ringing...it's just so peaceful.
I gotta agree entirely on this one. I write short stories, remix stuff, and do other such cognitive things at night. Even though mom's home then, and one of our dogs is beyond hyper at night, I'm most actually relaxed, and can think clearly. There are some friends of mine that are only ever really online at night, too. I guess it's got to do with classes all day followed by work at night. I hardly ever sleep, but I'm getting used to it. :twitch: :drunk: :twitch: Best part about nighttime? No glare from the sun on yer screens.
 7. '95 Buick LeSabre which, at one time, had a decimated cooling system that went through gas, coolant, AND water every week. It's fixed now, and i only gas up when the light's been on for 21.5 miles (yeah, i'm obsessive). I'm in NJ, and the price has already hit $2.05/99 for regular unleaded. It's getting to be so bad, I'm actually considering driving the extra hour for "Mike's Auto Shop" gas....which is still under 2 bucks. It'll mostly be water or something, but it's better than shelling out a solid 15% of a paycheck each time.
 8.
and before I'm done typing the post, the computer crashes and I lose what I was going to write. Or, when I do post a long post, the computer has a problem sending the information, which I never get back. When that happens, it's very frustrating, and I have to remember what I posted and take it from there. (And then it usually doesn't sound as good if it was a part of a story...) And I'm sure this has happened to other people as well...
I hate that. I'd have a multi-paragraph post, and upon clicking "submit", it'll lock up. Then, the token XP error will pop up saying "we're sorry, but InternetExplorer has experienced an unkown error, and will now need to close. Please save any data, and restart the program". I also love how it's a pointless DLL that crashes the script. It's usually a mostly-empty library that only deals with automatically downloading offline web-pages.
 9. I'm putting up this poll for a presentation in my Computer class for college. My topic is Piracay and moral issues (if any) Please feel free to help me out, and help me gather data. If you don't want to post, that's fine. Voting's good too. However, if you are going to post, follow OB rules of nice, full supported opinions simply because it'll help back up whatever we/you are saying. If quoted, I will give credit where credit's due. Thanks, and happy voting. Nuts, didn't realize "preview poll" would just post it real quick... It's stuck on Public as far as I can tell...whomever knows how to fix this, or if a mod can, help. lol. thanks
 10. Tada! now scream. :animesmil
 11. I gotta agree completely with your post in its entirety, Doc. I actually had the luxury of getting TechTV a few months before the Extended Play / X-play shift. I was hooked on G4TV for about a half-hour, until i realized that their review shows seem more like hype/ads for the games rather than "We really hated this game because... and the gameplay was..." etc. I had TechTV programmed as a favorite on my old GeroldG.I. cable box. Even after the X-Play shift, it seemed more like a sitcom that still reviewed games. I remember they actually had a speed-episode where they swore to tear through a month's worth of releases/previews/reviews over the summer. It was amazing. They had 22 mintues (commercial breaks, remember?) and still managed to back-up their reviews and opinions for over 30 games. I stuck to their reviews like glue. To me, their scores and articles were spot-on. Besides, who can forget the Intern-wars? Screensavers, Call for Help, Robot Wars, F.F.Machines, and all the other TechTV-pure shows were my favorite of all time. the G4-Tech """merge""" really gets me steamed. I was skeptical at first, but saw at they were keeping the Screensavers, etc. I thought that it couldn't be too bad, but watched as the G4 crept over the Tech- and all hell broke loose. I still try to catch X-play when possible. It's still fairly decent, and in some of their viewer-mail segments they actually flamed G4. It was a beautiful thing. But like all beautiful things, the end must come... everything that has a beginning has an end (the only good line from an otherwise sub-par movie.)
 12. for Soul Calibur 2, My faves are Cervantes, Maxi, and Nightmare, though I'm fairly proficient with everyone but Ivy, and anyone w/ a shield. Cervantes because he's a pirate...i mean, c'mon. If you play him right, the fact that
he's the only truly evil character
in the game comes out. Maxi because even though he's got no range, he's still fast, and good for when you play against someone who blocks a lot. Just combo away their life 1% at a time. Nightmare because his special weapon is a Boat Oar. Simply marvelous. That, and the fact that he uses his weight visibly when swinging his weapon, helps throw off attackers, because they want to close in when he leans back. I like Ein, and anyone but Bayman and Tengu in DOA2:Hardcore. Ein simply because you can juggle and combo like crazy with the right attacks, then quickly pull off a wind-up punch of some sort, or his ridiculous One-Inch-Punch ripoff.
Punch

 13. I'm gonna have to follow Xanadu on this one. I can't relate to just a provided element alone. I'd have to say "storm" as my main element. I've always loved ligthning storms, and have been indirectly hit / electrocuted many, many times in my life so far. I'm obsessed with electronics, and I never wear a jacket. Especially when it rains. A favorite song of mine is "walk in the rain" by Yoko Kanno. It's just the idea of the raindrops' constant prattling being suddenly punctuated by lightning and the crack of thunder. The fury of a storm, the wind whipping the rain, and the ever-escalating electromagnetic buzz crackling through the clouds, working to a magnificent crescendo is just bliss to me. I've honestly sat out on the hood of my Buick just to be outside in a storm. Also, I relate a lot to dark...or rather, Darkness. I like driving at night (though nothing's more inconvenient that a bored cop at 10PM...). I like doing things at night. It's more fun. Also, I like the concealing factor of the dark. It provides a mysterious and infinite void in our visual spectrum. We don't know what's there, and what we can't see, we can't confirm. If we can't see anything, anything can be there. It's an amazing conundrum. Also, something to think about: Is it not darkness in which light truly shines? The contrast is most prominent in pure darkness.
 14. Soul Calibur 2...solid fighting game when you've only got about 12 seconds to play a quick round. DOA2, easily my fave. If you can figure out which character fits your style exactly, you're unstoppable...even against a button-masher. Ein is a piece of cake to play with, but keep an air-juggle going with Helena. Another fun game is Fighting Vipers. Absolutely the most amazing game ever created. what other game can let you play as an axe-guitar wielding ruffain who's special move is called "dangerous noise"? Oh, and let's not forget the "booty bop!"
 15.
i cant play them alone :animeshy:
But how will you ever enjoy a scary game if you can't play it at 3AM on 2 days no-sleep, lights out, no one home, and headphones / speakers&subs? That's the prime time to scar yourself psychologically! :animeswea
 16. Contestant#2's expression changed from excitement to disappointment when he realized that "lightning-speed-super-bonus-round" meant his nether-regions would be attached to a winch on a thresher.
 17. aww, yeah! i forgot about Silent Hill 1! Those things were nasty! I remember playing it the first day it came out, got it at blockbuster...totally scarred by that entire opening sequence from the FMV to the time he's in the Cafe and gets the radio. It's engraved into my mind. I still have occasional SH-themed nightmares...namely being trapped in a "Darkside" version of my own hometown.
 18. Creepiest would hafta be Silent Hill 2. Several Scenes... Pyramid Head for bunches, and
the hallway at the end
was definitely unnerving. Most gore? Depends on what you're counting... If you want camera-splatter, Phantasmagoria 1&2, Stagefright Collection. Nothin' like watchin'
our main character's head get splashed by a massive swinging blade
in the
"wrong" ending #1
. Scariest overall? Definitely 4RE. Regenerators, Iron Maidens, and the
Flamin' Chainsaw guy
were some of the scariest moments i've had in a game. Even on my 8th playthrough, I still jump when I blow away a
Mantis, and another goes re-visible between the camera and Leon.
Good stuff
 19. gotta plug my generally favorite anime (series or movie): Cowboy Bebop. Action, hotpants, gunfights, karate (drunken boxing as well as several others), and space-ships...c'mon. On the same note, Outlaw Star. Excellent, too. Oh, and anything else listed above. another site to check out is DiscountAnimeDVD.com
 20. Kazuya tests out his new Shoulder-mounted Asuka launcher
 21. Although it was all in fun, Mario snapped the towel just a bit too hard this time...
 22.
I mean at 3:00 A.M.. when I have to turn in the Rough Draft of a 7-page paper kinda last minute.
i do the same exact thing... 'long as i can do a page / minute, i'm good... :animeswea
 23. 1) Soda: Coke or Pepsi, depending on if Ice is available, and/or what kinda mood I'm in, though USUALLY coke. 2)Change. I'm addicted to changing my stuff around. I've got a setup with Style-XP that changes my Bakcground every day/every time i login to my laptop. I change the color scheme of RPGs and other vid-games i play constantly. I usually try to make a background, or mess around with something in photoshop, trying to make a new Sig/Background/Avatar. 3)Driving. I love driving. 'Nuff said. It's my portable Boombox made by Buick. 4)Music. I'm totally addicted to music. I've a 20-gig Archos which is completely full with MP3s (exact count is 5,073). I have a "freakin' Everything!" playlist which plays all 10 days+14:13:26 of music. At one time, I had a playlist that played only my favorite songs (roughly only 2,000 of them.) Unfortunately, a new MP3-management program renamed many, and de-tagged more than half of them all. In high school, I was in several choruses, county, state, country orchestra, both school orchestras, and helped out with band and musicals. I listen to music every night, just trying to get to sleep, and have different playlists for driving, gaming, ambience, moods, etc. Well, that's it for me. To me, alcoholic drinks taste wicked-bitter (doesn't matter what it is, from beer to margarita), and anything i smoke will trigger an accute asthma attack which'd kill me regardless of how soon i get medical attention. I think the few addictions i've got are fairly benign...lol
 24.
Many people do not have that luxury.
agreed, but the number's increasing...The TV is no longer the sole electric-babysitter. I know many people personally (friends, neighbors, close/distant relatives) that basically have raised their kids on video games. Like me, a cousin of mine started with an NES, moved up to a genesis a month or so after getting proficient with Mario Bros., and is currently tanking his way through Need for Speed: Underground2, even tuning the cars. He's just turned 6, and can hardly read text beyond "start, D-pad, Control Stick, Save/Load/Delete/Yes/No". It's rather creepy to see a kid 1/3 my age copy my playing style in several games. Same with a friend's sister and Sonic games. This next generation of kids will outdo even the most hardcore of gamers, since they didn't necesarily start with the 8-bit pixel-pictures. P.S.- Especially if i start a post with "I win" or something stupid, where there's blatantly no debate, don't take me too seriously. That's basically my short way of saying "hey, look! it's that irrational exception to the rule that really shouldn't exist!"
 25.
Some times beurocracy goes to far.
Agreed... In my freshman year of high school, they instated a Zero-tolerance policy with eveyrhting on a tuesday. They posted it in the school paper, and everyone joked about it in homeroom, since everybody knew exactly which kids were prone to fighting, and knew that just about everyone else would be labeled as 'dangerous' sooner or later. That same day, a complete *** sitting behind me in math was popping the little suction-cup feet of the pencil sharpener while i was trying to take a test i'd missed. :animeangr I got fed up, and demanded that he stopped. He said "what're you gonna do? Kill me?" and with blatant sarcasm, i said "yeah, right...I'll kill you." The next week (the administrators there are idiots, and take forever to do stuff.), I was on Call-Down. (considered one of the worst thing to happen to someone in our school besides being escorted out by police.) I wasn't just on call-down once. I was on calldown the entire week, having stupid little police-moderated meetings with each and every administrator/"advisor" to find out why I would threaten the life of another student with pre-meditated and malicious intent. It was ridiculous, and even though it was 'stricken from my record' for being a stupid remark and not a threat, it still almost screwed me out of participating in several clubs, and even jeopardized my graduation.
