Gaming Nintendo...the final nails in the coffin?
marking time replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Noosphere
I respect Nintendo and support it for the soul reason that it is the only company that focuses 100% on games. it's console is not a third or fourth most important thing on the list of the company who makes it. while sony focuses on a number of things before its playstation and microsoft being a software giant there consoles do not take priority like the console made by nintendo. Now I am not saying that my system of choice is the game cube just that i respect and will support nintendo as long as gaming is its # 1 priority. also Nintendo is not going anywhere for awhile. DO you know how much money they have stashed away that is 100% dedicated to games. they may not be selling wel,l but nintendo is sure not losing much money. I highly doubt that nintendo will stop making consoles and hope they do not. -
I can now upload anime episode from my pc to my PSP and watch them on the go.
I was wondering about stuff like this. For example, if I want to use my PSP to play music, how much memory does it have on it for that type of media. Is there something in the specs above that explains this? just let me know. Thanks.

While I was at the store looking at anime and manga I came across a new series named above. It looked interesting. All I was able to find out about it was someone who had something to do with berserk did part of it. I looked all over online and found the story line and such, but I was wondering if anyone has seen it. and if you have could you please let me know what you think. I would rather hear it here than base my purchase off a plot line sample aimed at selling a product by the marketing team.
Sorry that I didn't believe Anno was God. I never realized that every choice he made was the right one. Never mind the fact the last two episodes were boring, flat, annoying, and represent everything negative anyone had to say about the series, if Anno said it was the real ending it must be good. You must pity me and my foolish concepts of personal opinion.
Its Just my Opinion too. no hard feelings. I Personally like the last two episodes others may not. It was my bad to go off like that.

I have never had a problem with slow moving storylines. Haibane Renmei for example could be considered an anime with a slow moving story line. I really enjoyed this anime. Though slow moving i still find it well done. and if this is anything like Haibane Renmei, which it is not I mean story movement wise, It will be amazing in the second half.

Anime What anime do you think has the best visuals?
marking time replied to a topic in Otaku Central
This series has very good visuals. I personally enjoy the darker settings and most of the character designs are very good. also the backrounds are very very well done. In the last few episodes the visuals are stunning and i personaly like its visuals the best. If it was not for Texhnolyze's dark setting I believe the best visuals would be from Haibane Renmei. Almost everything in that anime looks beautiful the only drawback I felt was some of the costumes in the series. though they were drawn well they were not particularly good looking. -
I recently joined the otaku boards hoping for a good experience and fun descussion. However, what i found is a message board that is so strictly moderated that one can not just voice a simple opinion and not get a message saying that their post was unacceptable. What ever happend to being able to voice your opinion without having to have a complicated explanation. For example I started a tread about an manga i liked called Lament of the Lamb. I said in the thread that i love the manga and asked if there was anyone out there that liked it as much as me. Now if you ask me that is a good descussion starter. though short, very effective. the first responce asked me about the manga so i responded to the person whith a brief overview of the plot. I do not see why it is inapropreate if it is possible to start a good descusion without a long complicated thread. Sure I can leave the forum but i dont want to leave just yet. i just want to know the reasoning behind such stric moderation. It's sometimes hard to have fun in a forum when about one out of every 5 posts a person makes is critisized.

Anime (ANIME) more for kids or teens
marking time replied to FireDemon_Hoshi's topic in Otaku Central
The Results speak for themselves. There is alot more for teens and adults than there is for kids. -
If It Creates Emotion or Drama I cant get Enough. I Love an Anime where the Protagonist Questions his or her existance. Evangelion, Rahxephon, .Hack//Sign, Haibane Renmei, X, Texhnolize, Boogiepop Phantom, Lain sorta, Of these I hold a strong love for.

**SPOILER** When Asahina Hiroko was Used Bye the Mu for the dolem Vibrato and Ayato Killed the Dolem to protect Asahina not knowing he had Killed her I was Stunned and thrown to the Floor. That was the most Emotional Episode of andy anime or manga i have ever read or watched.
Biggest disappointment: easily the last two episodes of EVA. Other less obvious dissapointments for me included Wolf's Rain, a brilliant plot that had way too much padding and way too little development for me to enjoy it, and Rave Master, which had a decent manga but a downright unwatchable anime.
This was the climax of the series and to call it a disapointment is very very sad. I feel the disapointment came when the fans could not get over the creator's ending the series the way he felt it should and, making him create a movie that leaves more unanswered questions than answers. Yes the movie is good too but its sad that it was done as revenge for all the death threats and complaint letters Anno recieved. Let the genius do his work he knew what he was doing and the movie is nothing but revenge for hate mail. I personally Looked forward to this anime for about 3 months reading previews and storys about how emotional it was going to be. Sadly the emotion was fake emotion that would never exist in the real world. All it was was the Protagonist Screaming and destroying things for the emotional part. Well I guess there was a bit of a relationship development between the main character and the "Secret Weapon" gir but 4 episodes is not long enough to make that relationship effective. I to this day wish I had not spent the $60 i did on that anime.
