I've got spyware problems. But the thing is, I've tried Spyware Removers. AdAware. Spy Bot S&D. They don't work on my computer. All they do is freeze it up and cause it to crash, or they just waste space on my desktop and don't actually do anything. I'm sick to death of the spyware popups and that I can't use Internet Explorer (which I only use for a chatroom I go to, because Mozilla Firefox screws it up and causes lag). I don't know what to do. Spybot, at least, doesn't freeze up my computer. AdAware is basically worthless to me. But SpyBot says it scans, and that my computer is clean and safe, and two minutes later I have more popups when I'm not surfing the web. Ugh! I don't have any money to spend on another spyware remover and I don't want to restore my system again, because I can't get my internet back up on my own (I use a wireless router). This is really grinding on my last computer related nerves. x_x;;

I know I'm paranoid. I can't sleep alone with the light off. It hurts my eyes, even though they're closed, but I can't stand to be in complete darkness. My mind always convinces me that something scary/deadly will happen if the light is off, and I know that's not true because I used to be able to sleep with it off, even if the whole house was dark and asleep late at night. A sudden interest I had in cryptozoology caused me to start leaving the light on. Reading about scary things, such as Spring Heeled Jack, the New Jersey Devil (and a whole lot of other paranormal things in New Jersey, such read from the Weird NJ website), a skunk ape supposedly seen in my own state, and more. I also had an hour or two of looking at pictures of "ghosts" when I was 10 years old, and that gave me a whole month of sleepless nights in my own bedroom. I had to take refuge by my parents' bedside. I also thought the shadow of my TV, VCR, Nintendo, and all the wires behind it were the silhouette of a one armed long haired ghost, and that scared me for a while because I was too stupid to figure out what it actually was. One other time, I was the only one awake and I heard this eerie noise, something like "Oohoohoohoo...ooohooohoo" and I was so scared I started to cry. I yelled out to my mom, who was all the way across the hall, and she said it was just my dad having a bad dream. That was a HUGE RELIEF. I try to convince myself that ghosts and cryptozoophagous creatures don't exist in this world, and they can't get me, but that's no good. My mind still convinces me that there are other presences following me, even though there's not. My dad whines that I'm 14, I should be able to sleep with the light and TV off, but I can't. I can't help that I'm paranoid. Another reason I sleep with my light and TV on is that I'm scared to death that someone might try to break into my bedroom. I've thought about it lots of times, what I'd do if I heard someone jump over the wall leading into my courtyard, landing in the pebbles, breathing silently...frankly, I think I'd be scared out of my mind and I'd run straight to my parents. Maybe lock the door and close it before I left. I really don't think this is going to happen, because a) my house is well protected and hidden behind a big wall, and b) I live in a very good neighborhood, and a cul-de-sac. Now, for things that DO happen that make me anxious: thunderstorms. If there's a hurricane supposed to hit the next day, or thunder booming outside my window, and it's not late enough to run to my parents' room, then I have to camp out in my sisters' room right next door. One time, it was thundering very loudly, so my sister threw pillows and blankets on the floor, then when to her doll bag and threw about forty stuffed animals all over me and my youngest sister. We jumped closer when sudden thunder struck and eventually fell asleep. Of course, if thunder wakes me up in the middle of the night, the only place I can go is my parents' room. I try not to wake them up but I don't want to startle them, me wrapped up in a blanket suddenly bursting into their room. Wow, this was longer than I expected. I guess I'm pretty paranoid.

Anime Underatted and overated animes
Ailes de Velour replied to Roflocopter's topic in Otaku Central
As for the actual topic, being' overated and underated anime's, I think .Hack Sign Is pretty overrated. i did not enjoy this series at all. I asked my friend why everyone was soo depressed in this show, and he said they all feel for Tsukasa, but seriously, How can one persons problems make a dozen people be sad, All the frick'ing time?[/size']
It wasn't all the frick'ing time, and the whole cast weren't depressed half the time. Some, like BT, Silver Knight/Ginkan, and Sora never felt bad for Tsukasa at all. If the other characters were ever upset, it was because of the severity of Tsukasa's problem (he was stuck in a game with no way to return to real life) or their own offline problems that made them that way. You are heartless! I kid, I kid. As for overrated anime, everything I considered overrated has all ready been mentioned. -
This belongs in the Anime forum, I'm pretty sure. I think the TV part of this forum means shows that aren't anime. I just don't have the power to do anything about it. Just letting you know.

Maybe we should post WHAT we did on the prank call instead of who we called. My first and only prank call was to a rock radio station, 97.1 "97 X." Listeners were calling in to vote for a band, either Bowling for Soup "1985" or Alkaline Trio (I think) "Mexican Radio" (or something to that effect). So I called and screamed into the phone in a stupid voice, "Bowling for Soup because Soup is my favorite flavor of sock!" and hung up right after. They didn't air it, though. Sometimes when I know friends are calling me, I'll prank them when I answer. I remember one time, my best friend called and I started singing some made up song for an animal band. "Hey boy or girl, you've reached the Singing Monkeys, leave a message after the banana" and then in my deepest voice: "banana!" And several times I've pretened to be a high voiced boy (which I'm not) named Joe Miller with a brother named Antonio. "Hewoo? This is Joe Miwwer. No, this is not them, you must've dialed the five instead of the nine because five and nine kinda sound alike." And it's not much of a prank, but last night at my party, the phone rang and I answered, but no one was there. So I sat back down to talk with some friends, then the phone rang again. "HELLO!" in an angry, gruff voice. That cracked up my friends.

I miss the Random Member feature. It was so nice to randomly find someone, and now it's gone. Maybe this has been discussed and I'm just tired (even though I read through this whole thread.) Would it be possible to integrate that back into myOtaku? And by the way, this new version has me swooning with excitement. ^_^;;

Writing Lyrical Arrangements [E]

Raising Beans He's the one with the red hazy eyes He sees only anger and sells them as lies His vision clouds over and he lets loose his flame He left a frail angel in a medical frame The majority rules, they all cut him down They happily beat him into a solid glass gown He tried to be welcomed because he had changed He wasn't the only one fully derranged He took up the helm and led them to win For once he could stand tall and endlessly grin Saffron rain and white plumage dropped down He stood there encased in a humiliating gown They framed a friend The bullets took flight One victim will never walk The other followed the light. Is retribution still underpaid? So now who is to blame? So now who will you hate? When you find someone else Will you kick them to the gate? And then, when they're gone Who else will you blame? The cycle continues In a neverending game. You wanted him gone. So he left. He's never coming back. It's your fault. --- I'm a little obsessed with Degrassi. I was so angry at the whole cast because they're just always looking for someone to blame when in reality, it's their fault that Rick died and that Jimmy is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Well, pretty lame of me to write about a TV Show, but this was around two in the morning. I'm a little melodramatic. And I've got nothing else to write about. I'm not completely angsty. xP;; -

^___^!!;; I think I'm smiling wider than a river. Thanks, you guys, I feel really good. I know I'm modest, and here it goes again. This one has very little rhythm and a little rhyme, it was just more like a weird monologue than a poem. It would sound better in an emo song. --- Engine Failure Everyone has warped visions of themselves Heads like balloons or hearts of mice And I've written so many letters And I've cried for you so much And I've let you down like a stone And I want to keep in touch I'm sorry that I'm such a mess to put up with It's a wonder that I've got friends who are true Maybe I can mask my imperfections But then I would disappear, too I see myself for who I am, and who I am is sad I rarely say anything without making someone mad My eyes are blurred by doubt and self esteem That I think I see myself and I'm not who I seem I'm stagnate, changing now and then I feel different every day I feel I've felt so warped on myself Change wouldn't matter, anyway I'm such a waste of space but I'm staying here forever I'm such a waste of space but I'm staying here forever I'm such a waste of space but I'm staying here forever I'm such a waste of space but I'm staying here forever --- *emotears* Ha. a man commits suicide after hearing Harry Potter spoiler Humor columns are supposed to be funny. I didn't think it was. I'm just so darn sick of Harry Potter hype, I guess. Yeah, that article is fake, supposedly amusing, but whatever. I kind of see it similar to my situation with the high school I have to go to. "Since you have to go there, you can have something that you normally wouldn't get in return..." says my dad. I told him I didn't want anything but my friends (because none of them are going to this high school). I don't really see material items as just compensation for loss of friends!! Just the same, it's not really fair. I can kind of see the governments reasoning if a homeowner hasn't finished payments on their house yet, in which case it's not completely theirs. But they signed the papers, and they've been paying for it, so the government shouldn't have control over it. That seems ridiculous that a government would do that. At least to me, though what do I know? My knowledge of politics can be written on the tip of a pin. x_X

I like the ones that are agile, like Mitsurugi, Kilik, and Talim. For a while, I played with Heihachi endlessly. He's powerful and fast, which is more than I can say about other characters. I had to ban Maxi and Cervantes. People don't know how to not buttonmash.
Excuse me?!?!?! What did you think all those "I HATE EVERYBODY!!!"-filled sentences were, shrieks of joy? :p I don't think you're dumb, you're just not paying any attention. (ADD, maybe?) ;)
Nope, I don't have ADD. Nya. It's been a while since I read the book, though, so I don't remember. I DO remember just one page of basically all caps, which was interesting. I probably didn't think anything of it because the Dursleys get on my nerves, terribly. I would've done the same thing. And Snape, and Malfoy, and the whatsherface new headmaster weird lady...o.o;; +ramble+

I remember when OotP came out. My friend dressed up as Moaning Myrtle, COMPLETE with a toilet seat around her neck! Don't ask me where she got it, I don't know, nor do I want to. But people were taking pictures of her with their little kids, who were all wearing generic Gryffindor costumes. She won first place in the costume contest, too. So, back on topic. I'm not too excited about it's release. It's just another book that I might read. I'm not a raving Harry Potter fanatic, and I don't think I've ever been. My interest level for the series is moderately low. I mean, I'm interested in reading it, because I don't think it's too bad, and I desperately need something to read. My mom will probably buy me the book out of nowhere, like she did for OotP. I didn't even notice any angst. I guess I'm just dumb.

Weird Things Seen on the Way Home from...
Ailes de Velour replied to Tatsubei Yagyu's topic in General Discussion
I've had a similar situation as well. I was on a field trip when I was in the 4th grade and we went on a bus. The teacher told us to look out the window and look at the pretty horses, just as we were passing by, we saw one of the horses mounting the other and the teacher got dead quite and some of the kids stood speachless. Some went "ewww" and there was one kid in the back that said "I don't get it".
HAH! That made me laugh. Okay, I wasn't going home, but I was going to camp. Near two retention ponds, there were two muscovie ducks lying in the road. Dead. Squished. My mom thought it was one, torn in half. Eeeew. And at camp, I found out that the boy cast as the Baker in Into the Woods jr. accidentally killed the muscovies. That crazy baker!! I wonder what he was doing, driving...? -
Rap, hip-hop, R&B, and pop all really annoy me. There aren't certain songs that I listen to out of any of those genres, ever. And there is NOTHING more annoying than Kids Bop. Songs are especially irksome when people in cars play them really loud, so the beats travel out everywhere and make your own car vibrate. It's terrible when your at a stop light, and the car next to you is blaring some god-awful tune. Uuugh. Some rock annoys me, too...Korn; "Word Up," Foo Fighters; "Best of You..." and a lot of stuff they play on the radio. I'm not one for popular music.

Writing Favorite books characters
Ailes de Velour replied to Ozymandius Jones's topic in Creative Works
I really like Ender, Valentine, and Bean, from Ender's Game. All three of them were smarter than the adults (which was pretty much the same for every other character, but these are better because I say so), and they seemed to be the most pure out of all the characters. I also like Mina from Dracula, just because. I'm an LXG fanatic, and I don't mean the comic. xÞ -
Charley scared the heck out of me. It was the first time in my whole life that a hurricane was actually going to hit my city. That was when I was scared of cat. 2s, though. I probably wouldn't have minded it being a cat. 2 and hitting here now. Then it became cat. 3, and then cat. 4, and by then I was afraid I was gonna die. They're going to retire the name Dennis, most definitely.

Seeing as how I write 'songs' often, I thought I might share some. I don't call my work songs seriously, though, because I never manage to write melodies for any of them. Therefore: lyrical arrangements. Er-kay, here goes my mediocre stuff. Beyond the Pale Riding through my dreamscape Lucidity consumes us all. You've got her all fired up. She's at your beck and call. Jaded parties, wreaking pain Faded spirits combust Seeking souls is seeking love Though spilling dirt and dust If you smile, the world smiles with you If you cry, you cry alone If home is where your friendships lie Then only dreams are home You're fighting killing colors And losing every time Friends of mine are worth much more Than twice a dozen dime If you smile, the world smiles with you If you cry, you cry alone Cry alone, cry alone --- Of course that was edited, since I write things in the shape of a song with verses and choruses, and it often repeats a lot. And now for something completely nonsensical, half inspired by Golden Sun II or whatever else popped into my head. Batteries Spin the chair a million times Squares and diamonds are the same Sing notes you don't really have Phantoms and musicals are to blame Oh yes, I'll think of you Oh yes, I'll paint it, too Oh no, oh no, oh no There's no more of me Tightrope walker Lash two ends Tightrope walker Twixt bounds and bends Tightrope walker Dash across the wire Tightrope walker Won't easily tire Tightrope walker Tightrope walker Lemonade Lemonade Spin the chair a million times Lemonade lemonade Blue lightning from the foil In our microwave, the toil The foily man is dead Exploded did his head We'll miss our old friend Lemonade lemonade Dead in the microwave --- Let's see. Spinning in my computer chair, trying to sing as high as Christine from Phantom of the Opera, listening to Think of Me (from PoTO) way too often, Felix (GSII) walking across the ropes and me singing "tightrope walker" over and over again, and remembering how aluminum foil reacts to microwaves. Er-kay. Say whatever you can to make me better as a 'lyrical arrangement' writer. --- Aw, man, I really did want some feedback for those. Oh well, here goes the old bad writing again. Negative Exposure Memories are the photographs That decorate my wall I have them there for a small laugh With the care they will not fall How I long to go back Time is a menacing foe And now the moments that I lack Are memories I will never know Visions and pictures I can hold But I cannot go inside I can waste my tears on moments old And for the time that died If only life were a loophole Controlled by my free will The present would be the toll My cheers would foot the bill --- Please? Just a little commenting would be much appreciated. T_T;;

My uncle was opening a hotel in Destin. First came the Destin shark attack, now comes Dennis the "menace." It's only supposed to be a category three when it hits, though, so there's a little little less to worry about.

Dennis is supposed to run right past my city, and we'll probably get some bad weather as it goes. It's SUPPOSED to pass us. I want my dad to put up the plywood over our windows, but he insists that there's no danger. Just remember Charley.

More I forgot: Five Iron Frenzy - The End is Here (Live) Five Iron Frenzy - The End is Near In a requested attempt to liven things up... Just the story behind my super special Into the Woods broadway soundtrack. The day I bought it had all ready been a lot of fun for me. The Music Performance Assessment for my chorus, a carnival for my old elementary school, and I had over 40 dollars saved up (doesn't happen often.) So, that night, my dad took me to Borders. I browsed the manga for a while, took a step over to look at some real books, then headed over to the music. At first, I couldn't think of anything I wanted, but then I found Five Iron Frenzy's last CD. I could afford it of course, and I had plenty money left, so I decided to look for something else, too. Then I thought about an Into the Woods soundtrack. I didn't think they'd have it, since they didn't stock the actual broadway DVD. But I looked in the soundtracks anyway, and it was surprisingly easy to find. I was so excited, I was speechless. I walked stiff legged to the front of the store, bought my items, and sang the soundtrack in the car on the way home. Yummy. Actually, the only CDs that I own that I bought with my own money are AFI - All Hallows EP, Nightwish - Once, um...the two FIF CDs, Into the Woods broadway soundtrack...eh...that's it. Everything else is burned from friends. I don't buy a lot of CDs.
Oh, and props to Ailes de Velour for listening to Nightwish. They are ( by FAAAAAARRR) the best band on your list. Listen to more Nightwish and stuff like instead of AFI and Underoath and crap like that. Okay, well it's may not be crap to everyone, but I hate it.
Aw, come on. Listening to more stuff like Nightwish isn't going to make me any different. I can't stop liking Underoath or AFI or Taking Back Sunday or anything else you disagreed with. What matters is that I like what I like and you like what you like, and we're separate individuals. Here are some stuff I forgot because they weren't in my cases. Into the Woods Jr. Rehearsal CD Esteban - Enter the Heart (it came with my steel string guitar) .hack//LIMINALITY Bonus Disc

This was a popular thread on a completely different board, so I thought I'd start one here. You post the list of albums that you keep in your CD Case (or iPod, seeing as how they're all the rage nowadays) and anytime you get something new, add that to your list. But you don't have to repost the whole list. I have three CD cases, not all of them are full, but those make up my "iPod."
