What;s the most funnist thing you have ever seen?
Ailes de Velour replied to WhiteAoiFox's topic in General Discussion
Eh, everything that I find very funny, it always ends up as one of those, "You had to have been there" types of things. But anyway! Once, I prank called a radio station. This spurred a lot of random radio station pranks from me and my sisters, none of which we actually did. All of the sudden, my sister put pantyhose over her head and shouted, "Omigosh, DEBRA." I thought it was so funny that I wet my pants. X_X! Yesterday at reheasals, the stage was wet. I was supposed to pretend to cut off someone's toe (I'm Cinderella's stepmother in Into the Woods), and I decided to act grossed out by it. So I picked up the fake toe, and slipped backwards. The first time, I caught myself, and it was a little intentionally. But then I stood up and fell over completely, landing on my butt with my legs up. That was hysterical, at least to me and my friends who were watching. Finally, today, the air conditioner was broken on the stage. So everyone was burning hot. About thirty minutes into rehearsal, we realized that it was raining and we opened one of the doors. About eight people crowded around the breeze, and I just couldn't stop laughing. It was a pretty memorable moment, just because of the refreshing air and my weird laughing spell. Sorry for my lack of hilarity. x_x -
Me loves Fire Emblem, a whole lot. The one also called Rekka No Ken in Japan, which I believe is the seventh in the series. It's for Game Boy Advance, so there's not much to say about the graphics (which aren't bad at all), but the storylines and characters are just so amazing that I get sucked in for hours and hours. It's not easy, either. I get so attached to characters that when they get killed (and when they die, they don't come back, EVER) I restart the whole chapter. I'm not much of a tactician, though the game characters seem to think I am, but I really love this game and I DO recommend it.

I can't contain it to one country. I say Scandinavia puts out the best bands, or at least the most awesome looking. The only exception of the coolness-thingy-factor would be Rasputina, from America, who are the coolest band in the whole world. From AMERICA.

My favorite show is probably Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I don't watch a lot of TV but I will always watch Sabrina. I also like Degrassi: The Next Generation, O'Grady, Girls Vs. Boys, and Endurance. Come back, Monroe, COME BACK!

And, oh, yes, my most recently acquired phobia which I named myself. Dalimuggophobia. I cannot STAND Salvador Dali's face, the one with the "flamboyant" moustache. I'm actually driven to tears because of it.

Ugh, I am so glad you decided to disallow Sesshomaru. He'd be in almost every single vote. Thank you, so very much. 5. Freeza-Dragonball Z-Arh, I have to give him SOME credit. I mean, other than being rather irritating, he was still unbelievably evil and powerful. In my mind, he was the last saga before DBZ started to take a turn for boredom. 4. Jean Gadot-Geneshaft-He was quirky and ambitious, and he
cunningly destroyed the main ship so he'd be named as captain.
Too bad he was only there for one episode, so I don't know if he really counts. 3. Haku-Naruto-He was so faithful to Zabuza, and he was really talented as a ninja. He did whatever it would take to please Zabuza. 2. Seta Sojirou-Rurouni Kenshin-So terribly polite and charming, regardless of the fact that he has absolutely no emotions at all. As far as bishounens go, he's one of the best. But for villainy, he's almost maniacle in a calm sort of way. 1. Morganna-.hack//SIGN-She has got to be the best villain in any anime. You never see her, you only hear her sweet-sounding voice. She's a very mysterious entity, and the whole World is in her hand. If she wanted a volcanic area to become an ocean, she could do it. Just knowing that she could delete every single main character if she wanted to is terrifying.

There might not have even been a Cookie Monster. The producers of Sesame Street were afraid that he would terrify children. But apparently, they were wrong, if kids have cookies coming 'out the wazoo. I saw one episode, recently, where he said he was giving up cookies and he put one on a rocket ship and shot it off into space. Now, what does THAT tell little kids? Build rockets out of cardboard and see if they fly when you light them up? Pssh, I think whoever is in charge of the Cookie Monster Resolution is being over-precautious.

Rock is basically all I can stand. Not even all genres of rock, either. I love symphonic metal, gothic, industrial, and very recently, all forms of emo. For each genre, I'd have to say my favorite bands are...Nightwish, Rasputina, KMFDM, and Taking Back Sunday (if you consider them emo). I also like Poison the Well, but I'm not sure what genre they belong.

When I was a child-child, I wanted to be a firefighter, a ballerina, and a baby Native-American princess (which is impossible, because I'm not Native American and I can't be a baby again o_O). My sisters wanted to be the same things. Then I started to gain common sense, and I started wanting to be an artist. I'm still a kid, though, so I'm still dreaming, but my dreams are actually molding into something that could actually be. I think my main supporter in the future will be writing, I'll do some anime and manga under an alias, and I'm in two bands right now (Pandora in a Box is symphonic metal/gothic, Letters of Marque is...emo, supposedly). I have many aspirations, but I'm hardly ambitious in the least. I've been writing one story for over three months now, and it has at least 105 handwritten pages (the first fifty-eight are on wide ruled and the rest are college). Geez, whenever I'm a little rowdy in history, my teacher asks me, "How many pages?"

I used to die a lot in dreams, especially those that were not my own. I remember one very memorable dream that I enjoyed a lot, in which my best friend (BelaLugosi'sDead) and I were hanging out near the dumpsters at my school. I jumped off a curb, not even a half a foot off the ground, and somehow died. Then I was a ghost, hooray! And somehow, Bela turned into a ghost right behind me o_O. So then, we and another of my friends, "Syune" (who wasn't a ghost), went running down the street. One of a set of twins dashed towards Bela, who screamed and leapt away, "Don't do that!" But I wondered how the twin could've seen her, since she was dead and all. Then I wondered how Syune could see us, and he said something about sunlight. Then, Bela and I were at my grandma's house, still ghosts, and we were driving her crazy. For some reason, the Christmas tree was up, and we took ornaments off and threw them around the room. My grandma shook her head and paced back and forth, then I made myself known as a ghost, and then I woke up. Then I made a ghost character to use in a story or RP or something xÞ. I've never been tested for these, but I think I might have acute segments. Thunder and lightning- Astraphobia Tornadoes and hurricanes- Lilapsophobia Insects- Acarophobia Heights-Acrophobia I was sitting in a tree the other day, not a very tall tree, five feet off the ground, maybe...and I looked down and I just got really nervous. It's VERY acute, though. And the fear of storms, I have no idea wear it came from, but one day in fourth grade I just felt scared to death of purple clouds outside x_x. And insects are just creepy. Spiders and worms, too.

Gaming The hardest game task you've accomplished
Ailes de Velour replied to Sir Auron's topic in Noosphere
I still haven't beaten Ansem in Kingdom Hearts. It is WAY too hard. I guess the hardest task, or tasks, would have been beating Skeith and the other phases and Cubia in the .hack. Ugh, I'mma frakkin' pansy? -
I like the opening and ending themes of Geneshaft, "Shaft Drive" and "Broken Camera" by Akira Takasaki. And even though I am way over InuYasha, I still like "Fukai Mori" by Do As Infinity and "Dearest," but I'm not sure about the artist of that one. From DDR Max 2, I like "I Feel" by Akira Yamaoka, "Still in my Heart" (not sure) and "Tsugaru" (don't remember....xÞ).

I'm not a big metal fan. I do like the Deftones, though, especially Changing in the House of Flies. I'm partial to SlipKnoT, Vermillion and Vermillion part two. I know Nightwish is symphonic metal, but it's still metal. Er...I don't know much about heavy metal. Like I said, I'm not a big fan.

I don't remember waking up and not being able to move, but I do have dreams where I'm trying to get someplace and all I can do is lie on the ground, or I'm trying to call out to someone but my voice won't work. Like, a dream in which someone broke into my house, and I was trying to yell for my parents but I had no voice at all.

Dance Dance Revolution. It's healthy, tiring, and fun. Whenever I close my eyes, I see fluorescent arrows flying into outlines. I was addicted to Pokemon Sapphire, recently, too.

I definitely agree. Mimiru of .hack//SIGN is my favorite character, but she barely wears ANYTHING (not to mention, she's pretty flatchested, so there's really no point to the skankiness of her attire.) I mean, I went through the whole series thinking she wasn't wearing pants. It was just a bra, some armor, and a loincloth. Then I noticed that her legs were a different color than the rest of her skin. But anyway. It's not just anime, it's also video games. Soul Calibur II is one I know of, with Ivy and Taki, it's ridiculous. For one, I don't see how Ivy can fight huge men-creatures in a tiny bra and a thong. And Taki, her red outfit, she must be VERY COLD. It's so blatant in the opening sequence! I mean, sheesh.

Eep. I'm glad I've never had an Old Hag dream, though now I'm probably going to "wake up" with a mini-witch on my stomach. Blaaah. Some of my weirdest dreams involve a bunch of my friends (both online and offline, the former is the oddest because I don't know what any of my online friends look like). Once, I dreamt that my group and I were at the open house of a high school and it featured all sorts of fun electives. Video gaming. Guitar lessons. RPG stuff. And then, I turned into one of my roleplay characters, Kougn, and her RP fiancee (or however it's spelled) was there, and I don't much remember what happened next. I often have dreams that I've been through my school day, and it makes me angry to wake up and have to go to school, because that's like doing two days in a row with no break in between. And I had one the other night that I finally remembered, and I know every reason I had it, too. I dreamt that my parents transferred me to a different middle school. I had no friends there (and the manholes transported you to the Spanish room which looked EXACTLY like the chorus room at my current school). The reason for this nightmare is that next year, I'm going to a different high school than most of my friends. I don't want to leave them. This feeling of dread probably powered this dream. I'm not even going to go into my dreams Christmas Eve.

Ah, that's just the start. I've described several dreams in myOtaku archives. I didn't even remember them until I went through my archives again. Oy.

Anime Which do you prefer: Manga or Anime?
Ailes de Velour replied to Okita's topic in Otaku Central
I'm partial to manga. Many of the series I enjoy that have been made into anime (Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin) don't come on TV often enough. Even when Kenshin does air, I rarely get to see it because I'm very absentminded. I like the dubbed versions better than the subbed, but the voice actors in a lot are so idiotic, I can't stand watching one for too long (.hack//LOTB, Shaman King). And some manga I like haven't been made into an anime yet (Naruto). Then there's the name change factor. Why would Monkey D. Luffy be Ruffy? That seems pretty dumb. I can't watch anime in school, as I can read manga while I'm done with (or apathetic towards) my schoolwork. Most manga is cheaper than anime, too, so it suits my jobless teenager budget perfectly. However, some of my favorite anime don't have manga (at least available to me), like .hack//SIGN, Geneshaft, and Read or Die. In this case, I can just purchase DVDs. Er, right. Blah. -
Ack, Missa, that's plain bizarre. Last night, I did have a strange dream that I remembered well before now, but I forgot everything. I just remember spilling chutney on my arm or something. I have a LOT of strange dreams. There was one when the actress Margierite Moreau, my friend and I were at my elementary school for some sort of carnival. My friend and I were pestering the heck out of Marguerite, and she burst into flames. Like in Firestarter 2!! Er, whatever.

I always have weird, unexplainable dreams. I figure a lot of other people do, too. Soooo, I'm curious. Explain a weird dream you've had recently or ever. I'll start with last night's oddity. The first part...I was playing DDR in someplace. Not surprising. I mean, I went to bed thinking nothing but DDR. The second part was really weird. There was a Disciple Now at my church, and the band that was playing there was...Rasputina? Odd. So, They were in the kitchen, having a food fight...or something. Melora came out and I went to her, and I asked, "Are you Mekare?" and she seemed rather...annoyed...then I called her Melora and she was rather clingy. "You know my other name?!" And it was very weird. She was definetly not a dwarfstar. Maybe eight feet tall. Which I doubt. Right, so, what of your weird dreams?

I came to myO almost a year ago, because my best friend (LaceratedWings on myO, BelaLugosiIsDead on the OB, and formerly KiraraDOWN) pestered me so much that I couldn't stand it. I saw her myO, and I thought that it seemed pretty cool, so I decided to sign up. So, the months past, and my site changed constantly, as well as my interests, personality, and beliefs. I enjoy looking through my archives and seeing how different I was compared to now. For me, myO is a logging of memories that I'd never be able to keep otherwise. Like, I was reading an old entry about strange dreams I'd had, and I completely forgot about them! It's a place where I can befriend people with the same interests as mine, and keep in touch with friends I all ready had. I love the formatting of it, because it's easy and convenient, and there's so much customization for absolutely no expense. I recently got a LiveJournal, and I don't like it as much as I like myO. Even when my liking of anime faltered, I kept myO going pretty steady (because I want on that bloody member list!) because I didn't want to leave everybody on my buddy list in the shadows. Besides, I think it would be really awesome to be one of the oldest members at myO, maybe in four or five years? That would be really something.
