Yozen Hihei Name: Yozen Hihei Gender: Male Rank: 7th Squad Captain Appearance: Hihei Personality: Hihei is a confident soldier often found with a smug look or arrogant smile upon his face. He and Aka Doragon have formed an unbeatable team and the spirit of the Red Dragon resides not only within the sword, but within Hihei himself. He enjoys solving puzzles and besting those who attempt to challenge him. He is loyal, yet not to an extreme. His most noticeable feature is his intelligence. His conversation is cluttered with witty comments and suggestive themes. He has a good sense of humor and gets along well with others. Red Dragon Appearance: Hihei's original Zanpakutoh is of stereotypical size, however the edge is incredibly solid and sharp. The whole of the blade is a tinted crimson, the handle of a lavished and decorative variety, mostly for show yet it provides sturdy handling, light and easy to use (shown in above picture). Name: Aka Doragon (Red Dragon) Shikai Call-Out: Akeharau Enkou! (Open Flame!) Shikai Appearance: Aka Doragon grows much larger, forming a steep curve on one side of the blade and creating a broad sword of considerable power. The sword's weight increases yet is still crisp and easy to use having been previously trained in the art. Shikai Power: Aka Doragon is a fire based sword, housing the power of the great Red Dragon. The blade is capable of manipulating any form of fire, as well as increase it's temperature to unfathomable peaks of heat. Bankai: Aka Doragon simply becomes two rather then one. The blade's energy shifts and divides into to seperate weapons, identical to the first. The Twin Dragon technique is a rare one, seldom taught even by the greatest of swordsmen. Character Snippit There I sat, my attention focused on nothing more then the best of Japanese whiskey before me. As I sipped I could feel someone watching me. It's hard to explain, knowing someone is staring aimlessly in your direction. However I was in no mood to play games of any kind with the fools of this below par establishment. Yet his stares persisted, and eventually he approached me, taking a seat on the stool adjacent to my own. "Nice sword you got there," he said, his husky voice burdening my inner ear. "Thanks," I mumbled, not even mildly interested in what he had to say. "I'll play you for it," he suggested, smiling as he took a sip of weak wine. "And what if I win?" I asked, merely considering a little excitement on a meek night such as this. The man stood from his seat, unhooked a blade from his belt and placed it upon the bar. The sheath was lackluster but the sword inside was pure gold, a diamond encrested hilt toward the very bottom. "I must warn you though, I'm undefeated," the man chuckled. "So how 'bout it?" I wasn't really interested in the sword, but a challenge from a man claiming to be undefeated simply couldn't be passed up. The game was of no concern to me, I've found that every game has some sort of loophole, a way to win nearly every time. And as I joined him at a table towards the corner of the bar I couldn't help but smile inside, seeing a modified form of dominos on the table. As we played it was easy to gauge his moves, hah, undefeated, I'd been lied to yet again. However as the game pushed on he took the lead. I began to pay closer attention and it seemed as though he'd hidden pieces within his coat sleeve. He was a mediocre player, but his cheating skills were much more impressive. It was almost impossible to notice his nonchalant slight of hand. Luckily I was on to his scheme and the game ended in my favor. He was dumbstruck as I rose from the table, my face still expressionless. I would've been more excited if he was actually good, but oh well. "B-But I've never lost before!" he spoke in awe, gripping the sword tightly. "Don't worry, keep the sword. Just don't cheat next time alright?" I said as I turned from the table and made my way towards the bar. I could hear the gasps of fellow bar occupants. Apparently I wasn't the only one who'd played this man. However, I was the first to win, and as numerous men began pushing and shoving him, I couldn't help but smile. Karma is quite the *****. OOC: Hope this is alright ULX. If I need to change anything just ask.

Every story must have an ending... K's eyes were closed, he could feel the heat from the nearby glaive of Asariel, small cinders floating through the air and hinting at his nose. However, the pleasant scent of heavenly fire would soon be tarnished by the foul stench of demon blood. His back was pressed to that of his partner and he could sense demons in every direction. They'd encircled the pair and planned to strike from all angles in an unavoidable attack. And as the group ran forward the two jumped, claws and metal from the demonic weapons clashing below. K's feet met those of Asariel and they were both propelled in opposite directions, reaching the edge of the crowd on both sides. And so they began, each man fighting his way towards the middle. K could feel the presence of Kraven, giving him strength, guiding his axe as it cut through even the toughest of demon hide. He spun his axe overhead, lowering it to his right side yet continuing the spin, gaining momentum as he softly released it. And so it flew, leaving trails of fallen monsters in it's path, causing a rampage of it's very own. And as it did K fought hand to hand with the demons. They were nothing to powerful, Kraven had done away with all the enemies actually worthy of fighting the duo. And as they continually ran forward he effortlessly ripped his gloved hands through their bodies. Grabbing a head here and there and crushing the skull in his bare hands. As he jumped from the crowd his axe returned to his soiled grip, demon blood soaking the handle and dripping down to the very tip. And as he plummeted towards the ground he swung the axe overhead, slicing through a large demon, and smiling as the body split into two even pieces. The fallen and zodiac would be the only two leaving here alive, K would make sure of that. This is my story. It'll go the way I want, or I'll end it here... OOC: I left the story open so Lucid could do some fighting if he wants. We'll be done here pretty soon and able to return to Reoan.

No worries both of you. I'll try to downplay your characters a bit for the time being. Lots of other people went away temporarily as well so you won't be to far behind.

Red retreated to his quarters and sat quietly at his desk, he wasn't sure how things would pan out but he was excited to see how everyone would get along. He became bored and decided to make his way to the forge. It always seemed to relax him. However simple it may be, swinging a hammer helped him think and sometimes he just needed a break. As he pounded a piece of hot metal he heard the footsteps of someone approaching. It was Silver, "Hey Red," he spoke, turning the corner and entering the forge. "I heard some banging and figured it might be you," he laughed, taking a seat near the fire. "What are you doing down here?" Red asked, ceasing to work on the metal throwing the hammer aside. "I was checking out the training area and shooting range, it's truly amazing, I've never seen anything like this ship," he laughed, speaking in awe. "Hah, you didn't think I'd steal just another dinky boat did you?" laughed Red, removing his gloves and tossing them aside as well. "No, but I didn't expect this," spoke Silver, hopping to his feet. He noticed the gun at Red's side and pointed to it, "You any good with that thing?" he asked, drawing his pistols and twirling them through his fingers. "I'm alright, and you?" asked Red with a smile. "Ahh, I have my moments," laughed Silver. "How bout we go to the range and have a little fun," he asked, turning from the room and walking slowly. "Sure, lets do it," said Red, aching for some real fun. So there they stood, side by side, Red's pistol drawn and both of Silver's guns in hand. "Theres ten targets across the wall, 5 for you, and 5 for me. We'll each shoot 5 bullets and see who comes closest to the bulls-eye on each target," sugeested read, loading his gun and tapping it on his shoulder as he waited for a reply. "Alright then," spoke Silver readying each pistol. Although the targets were rather large, it was nearly impossible to hit the very center. The bulls-eye was just barely visible from a distance and only expert gunman had been able to hit it, no one of the Meran army had even come close, how pitiful. "GO!" shouted Red. I remember that, my first real friend aboard the Dauntless, Silver. He was an amazing gunman that guy, truly inspirational. However, it wasn't his expert skills that drew me close to him, it was his personality. I could tell we'd get along great and I believe I'd finally found a partner for the journey ahead. OOC: Just having some fun like you guys lol. Over 5 people participating in the RP went away at the same time so it slowed down a bit but they'll all be back soon I assure you. If you havn't posted yet then do so and have some fun!

Bach bandaged his hand tightly and clenched his fist after just finishing, making sure he would be able to use it if need be. He felt the pain yet he knew it would pass with time and he would return to normal. As he sat silently in his room he decided it best that he not spy on Drake. Although he was heavily interested in the beast fight and matters at hand, Drake had been kind to him and he thought it wrong to return the kindness with deceit. Instead, he had an offer for Drake, and as he left the room he made his way to the Overlord's chambers. As he entered he saw Drake sitting in his chair looking over something on his desk. No doubt he'd just returned, his face seemingly fluttered and his mind burdened with thought. "Oh, hello Bach, do you need something?" he asked politely, smiling. "Yes, I'd like to discuss something with you," Bach implied, approaching the desk. "Then have a seat, would you like something to drink?" asked Drake motioning for a servant. "No, I'm fine," he spoke quietly. "I overheard your conversation with Dima," he said, his eyes watching Drake closely as he became a bit flustered, then angry that his privacy had been invaded. "I don't appreciate being watched and my matters are really none of your business Bach," Drake returned, much less polite then before. "Of course, my lord. It was my mistake, however, I'm glad I heard what I did. You see, Dima is dangerous, and his influence is nothing to take lightly. Surely your beast will prevail, but what of the situation after the fight? My proposition is this, allow me to be your body guard. We've known each other for quite some time and although our friendship has somewhat faded you know of my loyalty and my skills. They might prove quite useful under your command." Drake pondered a bit. The two had known each other for a long while, but Bach had become a mercenary and they lost touch for a long period of time. However, Drake trusted this old friend and accepted his offer. "I accept. I will share everything that's been going on with you, but you must keep it between only us. You will take my orders and only my orders, is that clear?" he asked sternly. "Yes sir, of course," returned Bach, glad he hadn't been turned down by the Lord. "Very well then." OOC: Hope this is alright Omino, I wanted to involve my character in some of the main story line. He's a mysterious guy but he's a strong fighter and you can use him however you see fit. Their past is a mystery for now but their stories interwine I assure you.

RPG Hunters of the Apocalypse: A Predetermined Fate [M-LSV]

Vincent didn't want to believe her, but the events of his life, things that had happened, there was just no other explanation for it. But how could he be part angel? That was a great responsibility he wasn't so sure he could bare. And the child of Gabriel? The Moon Brand? It was all so overwhelming. But he had to do it, he had to fulfill his destiny. And as his hand raised to meet the brand he fell to the floor. He panted heavily, trying hard to control himself as he felt every muscle in his body tense and distort for a short time. He could feel the blood in his veins changing, he could feel it become even thicker then before, flowing through every inch of his body and causing pain as the heavenly spirit traveled through each and every crevice. He could feel the pain center and stop towards his upper back and he cried out in agony as his skin parted. Wings of a light ivory color sprouted from the wounds upon his back and burst into the air. Feathers floated to the ground around him, a bloody circle of the most beautiful white plumes. He put his fist to the ground and pushed himself upwards, stumbling as he rose to his feet. Jace had felt this very same pain but it seemed much worse for Vincent. Perhaps those of holier decent are more in touch with their heavenly counterparts? Who knows, however she did notice that his wings were different. Although tainted with his own blood, they were white. Even the faded crimson was overshadowed by the divine glow of the ivory sails floating upon his back. Vincent clenched his fists as he stretched the wings, splattering blood upon the walls as they shot into a great white span. As they returned to their original position the very tips glided towards his face, wiping the tears from just under his eyes and smearing a bit of blood across his cheek. "T-This power, I've never felt it before," he spoke quietly. Jace was in awe, even after experiencing this ordeal first hand she was amazed at the first transformation she'd actually scene with her very own eyes. She reached out her hands, running her fingers along the soft feathers that cluttered his wings. "They're beautiful," she sighed, a slight smile upon her face. Vincent had never heard her talk like this, she was usually so outspoken and seldom lost her cool in even the most heated situations. However, her eyes were glazed over and glimmered as that of a child as she stroked his divine appendage. There was truly something different about her, and even himself in this form. His aura had always been powerful, but never like this. It was truly amazing, he felt as though he could do no wrong, his own power controlled him to protect those who could not protect themselves. "Who else? Who else is like this?" he asked Jace who had ceased in stroking his wings. "All of us, the hunters, we all possess this power," she spoke, glancing towards the ground. "I'm not sure how they'll take it," she mumbled. "They have to listen, this is their destiny, we were given this gift and we must take full advantage of it," he spoke. Jace sighed, "I'm not so sure it's a gift, Vincent. You see, my wings...they're different," she said, wiping a drop of Vincents blood from her cheek. "Very different..." OOC: Hope this is alright Reiku. -
K's boots fell hard upon the ground below, he ran, Asariel at his side. He hadn't had time to comprehend what had just happened, and as he stopped abruptly, so did Asariel. "What are you doing? We have to get out of here!" he shouted. But K stood shook his head, bringing his palm to wipe the sweat from his forehead. "No, we have to go back! It's not right!" he yelled. "Quiet Zodiac, it was his time to go, he has fulfilled his destiny and now it's time for us to do the same," Asariel spoke calmly, disregarding his own feelings for Kraven. "No, thats not fair. His destiny was to die? I refuse to accept that, we control our destiny!" K shouted in passion, a solemn tear streaming down his cheek. "What's wrong with you?! You didn't even like Kraven, you didn't know him!" shouted Asariel in return. "You wouldn't understand. We had a spiritual bond, I could feel him, and I feared him. He's the first I've ever feared! Doesn't that mean anything?!" he cried. The fallen reared back and his fist plummeted towards K's face, knocking him to the ground. He spit blood from his mouth and looked up towards his comrade. "You know nothing! You know nothing of Kraven! Do you think he'd want you to whine over his demise like this?! It's time to grow up, and move on. Would you have his sacrifice be in vain? His death for nothing?" Asariel shouted, turning from the fallen zodiac. "I'm sorry," K mumbled as he rose from the ground. "I'll fulfill my destiny, I swear it," he spoke again. "Good," motioned Asariel, "it's time go." As the two ran down a quiet alleyway K could smell the scent of approaching demons. Their stench was unbearable and the smell of death was closing in on their location. "We have to kill the remaining few before they find us and divuldge our position," spoke Asariel. Before K could return a comment they were surrounded. Lower level demons on each side the men drew their weapons. "We have to finish this quickly and get to Reoan," said K, spinning his axe to an attack position. "You're right, let's do this for Kraven," he spoke in return. "You and I will burn his memory into the skull of every demon we meet, we are the final two, guardians of Reoan, brothers and bringers of death," spoke Asariel. The time had finally come for the two to set aside their differences and realize their full potential. Both the fallen and the zodiac, an unlikely pair, but a team uncomparable to any other. OOC: I was sad to see Fallen go, but I thought it best for his death to truly inspire K and Asariel and make them an unbeatable team. In some ways he was a martyr, but our characters will make sure he lives on, and the trio has now become a duo of immense power. Hope this is alright with you Lucid.

Name: Nobunaga Ifu Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Ifu Weapon: Ifu uses a simple dagger and long sword shown in the above picture. His powers are to simply manipulate metal. He can form it any time he chooses or simply alter any metal in his possession. Alliance: Human Title: None Personality: Ifu is shy around people he doesn't know, and even people he does know if they have an intimidating personality. He's not one to speak up unless the occasion desperately calls for it. After discovering his powers and certain abilities he became a bit more confident, yet they developed into just another difference between him and other people. He longs to be liked by everyone, he has a good heart but his jaded personality overshadows it sometimes. In battle he can be clumsy, but he truly is an amazing fighter. When a friend or someone in need is in peril his power intensifies greatly. With a little more confidence he could suceed even the most powerful of Hollow, but for now he's just another misfit warrior. Biography/Character Snippet: "Stop with this nonsense!" shouted Ifu's mother at the whimpering child in the corner of the room. "B-But they're here, really, I-I saw them," spoke the young Ifu, wiping the tears from his eyes. "Theres nothing here, stop being so foolish!" she shouted again, swiping at the child and missing by a great distance. "It's the truth! M-Monsters, I see them!" the child mustered the courage to shout back. "Hmph, well if you see them here then maybe its time you'd left..." Years Later Ifu bowed before the Great Priest. "You have become a quite talented fighter, young one, and surpassed even my own expectations," the Priest spoke, bowing in return. "You have learned to control your power and use it for that of good, rather then evil. I am very proud of you," he spoke again. "However, it is time you face the final task. Your spirit senses allow you to see the Hollow beasts, you've been given this gift, and this curse. You are to fight the Hollow, protect your fellow man and the warriors of good," he spoke with great confidence. "But Sensei, I'm not ready yet, the Hollow are great beasts and-" "Silence. I believe in you, now you must believe in yourself," said the Priest, disappearing from the room and leaving Ifu to sit in silence. And so he sat, his legs crossed and his eyes closed in deep meditation. The room was silent and as his concentration grew stronger he became more aware of his surroundings. But suddenly he heard footsteps, the sound of someone approaching him. His eyes opened as he jumped to his feet and quickly turned to see who it was. However, he saw nothing. Just my imagination he thought to himself, overcome with relief. As he turned to resume meditation he saw his mother. "M-Mother? What are you doing here?" he asked, surprised to see her after so long. "I'm here to take you home," she spoke calmly walking towards him and embracing her son in a passionate hug. "Won't you come home with me?" she asked desperately. Ifu looked at her, confused, the very women who had sent him away many years ago was now pleading for his return. But what was he to do? "I can't just leave the temple. They need me here," he said taking a step back from his mother. "You must come home," she spoke again, becoming agitated. "I just can't," said Ifu once again. "You will come home!" she screamed her aura changing and her body forming to match that of the infamous Hollow. "You!" he shouted at the lost spirit standing before him. "If you won't come home, I'll take you there by force!" the spirit shouted. No longer resembling a human of any kind. It's hand formed claws of red and it's aura of a dark purple variety. Ifu drew his sword, gripping the handle tightly with both hands. He ran towards the spirit, jumping and striking downwards, but missing. The enemy was quick and as his feet returned to the ground he felt the tips of the spirit's claws running along his back. He winced in pain as the blood seeped through the wounds and tainted the back of his shirt. Focus, young one, set the soul of your mother free he heard the voice of the Priest echo in his head. His eyes closed and he felt the dark presence move closer. He spun swiftly, his sword clashing with the claws of the spirit. It seemed to me a stalemate until the sword suddenly grew longer, the tip rupturing the spirit's skull. He quickly drew his dagger and beheaded the beast. It's lifeless body fell to the floor and melted, his mother's soul floating off in the distance. Well done OOC: Hope this is alright Imi. If theres anything you'd like me to change just ask.

Chapter 1 Beginnings It was amazing, I was even luckier then I thought. Not only had I found a great crew, but they all seemed to be getting along well too. Guess the bandana wasn't the best idea to keep myself hidden. Anyhow, it was finally time. Time for us to begin our journey to find Longhorn's treasure. He was a wily old pirate and I knew it'd be tough, but I was up for any challenge he had in store for me. Our first destination was the Kilik Isle, a small archipelago just off the Meran shores. The map had every destination I'd need to get to the island that housed the treasure, but at each stop off I'd have to search for a clue as to the exact location of the riches Longhorn had stored away. A little game he'd thought up to make finding the treasure that much harder, but I was determined. Everyone sat silently at the large table in the conference room. They'd been called there to recieve important information before beginning their quest to find Longhorn's treasure. The table had been filled entirely, lacking one seat, so Hugo stood in the far corner of the room, leaning up the against wall, almost asleep or so it seemed. The large double doors of the room swung open and Red walked in, making his way past the table and to the front of the room. "Welcome everyone," he said with a nod, acknowledging each of his fellow crew members. "You all know why you're here, to accompany me on a journey to find Longhorn's treasure. Longhorn, being the famous pirate captain known for his ruthless fighting skills and well, eccentric ideals. I'm sure most of you have heard of the discovery of his map just weeks ago on a secluded island far from anywhere important. And if you've heard this then you know that the Meran army had discovered it, yet claimed it be nothing more then a rumor. Well, I'm here to assure you that this is no rumor," he spoke, laughing a bit as he pulled a rolled up piece of parchment from his pocket and tossed it onto the table. "This, ladies and gentlemen, is that very map. The guide to the mounds of riches Longhorn had stored away during his many years," he said. The rest of the crew stared silently at the map, their jaws dropping. Hugo was the only other person that knew of the map until just now, and the crew had finally been informed of Red's secret. "However, this is not simply a "guide," as it may seem to be. This is a puzzle. We won't be able to sail directly to the island and find the treasure. We'll have to make certain stops along the way and obtain clues to the treasure's specific location on the final island. I've read threw them several times and I assure you this will not be easy. Also, numerous other factions are searching for the treasure as well. I'm not sure how much information they have on it's location, but I assume they won't be happy with us searching for it. Even the Meran army has set aside it's most talented members to search for us as well as the treasure. It will be dangerous and some of us may not come out alive. However, I faith in all of you and truly do believe that we'll come out of this journey a lot richer then when we came in." he said with a laugh. The rest of the crew smiled, some laughing as well. The confidence was overwhelming, and the sudden rise in morale would make it that much easier for the crew to work together and find the treasure before anyone else could. "Our first destination is Kilik Isle, just off the shores of the Meran settlement. We'll have to be cautious and sail safely to the isle as not to be noticed by the Meran patrol ships. You'll refer to me now as Captain, or Red, the name I've been given as a pirate. I'll need each and every one of you to complete this task. Remember, I'm counting on you." And with that he turned and walked from the room, leaving the crew just as they'd sat before, except a great deal happier. Explanation Finally, the story begins! Nows the time to meet and learn about the rest of your crew as well as the inner workings of the Dauntless. Interact with others, decorate your rooms, practice fighting or simply enjoy the veiw as we begin our journey. However, the life of a pirate is far from glamorous. And although we have an amazing ship, it'll take each and every one of you to keep things running smoothly. In my next post you'll all be recieving your jobs, certain duties you'll be responsible for while aboard the Dauntless. Whether you like them or dislike them, it's important that you do your very best to complete your job each and every day. But for now, you have free time to do whatever you please. Keep it up everyone!

Back awoke suddenly, panting and squinting, searching the room for the women he'd seen just minutes ago. He sighed slightly, just another dream, he thought to himself, but it was so real. He placed his face in his palms, wincing with pain as the sweat covered his hands. He lifted his head again and noticed the source, his hand was badly wounded, the his right palm covered in numerous cuts. He was taken aback by the sight he'd just endured in a dream, in reality. He rose from the bed, removing his shirt and throwing it to the floor. He entered the bathroom, washing off his face and looking at himself in the mirror. His eyes returning to their normal state.
That song makes you angry? It gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside! :D It's actually a really positive song, as far as lyrics go.
It has a positive message, but it just sounds so angry lol. His voice is so scratchy and there's so much feeling within the song, you can feel his pain and his new found pride with each and every word. It definitely gets me going, I can't help but scream the words or jump around franticly lol.

RPG Hunters of the Apocalypse: A Predetermined Fate [M-LSV]
Kamuro replied to Redemption's topic in Theater
The team split up and each person went their seperate ways. Vincent decided to return to the mansion. Thoughts of the day's events cluttered his mind. He would give his life for the well-being of his people, but the battle that had ensued was nothing to celebrate. He was also tired, fighting demons and monsters of the sort wore him out, especially when he was forced to use extensive aura attacks. He sighed quietly as he entered the mansion, cherishing the first silence the day had blessed him with. He walked quietly to his room and upon entering tossed his chain to the bed. He'd forgotten it was still tainted with demon blood and gave a frustrated look, knowing he'd have to use his power once again. He stared at his weapon and as the metal links rose so did his arms. Each piece glowed a faint blue and as Vincent clenched his fist the blood burst from the metal, evaporating almost instantly. He rested for a bit and left his room to find Jace who had also come to the mansion after the mission. Her room was empty and common halls were barren as well. As he approached Master Zindell's chambers he heard a loud conversation and Jace becoming increasingly hostile. He pondered whether or not to listen in but he was interrupted by the click of the opening door. -
Bach walked silently down the hallway returning to his room and closing the door behind him with a loud clicking noise. He unhooked the sword from his belt and tossed it once again upon the cotton sheets of his bed. He sat back down to his small table and took a swig of the remaining wine. He shook the glass a bit and watched what was left of the ivory liquid circle the bottom. It seemed as though he was out of alcohol and although he thought ill of leaving his room again so soon, he decided to make his way back to the previous room and aquire more liquor. The hall was much less crowded as he made his way down the corridor towards the room he'd entered before. As he made his way past numerous tables towards the bar he noticed Ryu and Loranna dancing across the room. Ryu stumbled a bit attempting to keep up as Loranna danced increasingly fast. He laughed a bit to himself as he sat down to a stool and motioned for the bartender. "The usual?" he asked, approaching Bach and leaning against the wooden counter. "The strongest drink you've got," Bach spoke, looking up and smiling in the man's direction. "Right, the usual," he said, laughing as he left for a moment and brought back a large bottle of an ominous white liquid. "I don't know how you can drink this stuff, let alone walk straight afterwards," he said, handing the bottle over. "Only a drink such as this provides the relief I seek," he spoke silently rising from the bar and walking from the room. As he approached the door to his personal chambers he heard a muffled shout towards the opposite end of the hallway. He continued past his door and walked to the room the noise had come from. He placed his ear to the solid wood and haulted his breathing. He could hear Drake's voice, and the elf from before. Apparently something of a showdown was going to occur, a lucky find he thought to himself as he turned from the door. It would be interesting observing the "pets" in a fight to the death, and with all the commotion he wouldn't be noticed, watching intently from the shadows. No sooner then he entered his room the bottle of alcohol was gone. He rose from his seat and stumbled a bit as he made his way to the bed across the room. He lost balance and fell to the wall, sliding down it and extending his legs. He just barely sat up, hunched over, a tear rolling down his cheek. His pupils glazed over and the original red of his inner-eye turned a darker crimson. He clenched his fists and winced at the noise of the bottle craking within his palm, shards of glass cutting along the intimate lines of his hand. As his head rose from the glare towards the floor he saw the women from before. She stood over him, the tips of her dress fluttering slightly. "You see, this blood is only the beginning," she spoke silently, taking his hand in her's and lightly licking the tip of his finger, softly cleansing it's summit. "You will pay..."
The new Bloc Party single. It's annoying as hell. Make it die. And you know, Fall, diss hip-hop all you want, but Korn bases all their music on hip-hop influences. Yes, even on their first album. The rhythms and lines are all based heavily on hip-hop music. Not criticizing you, just saying you should look out.
One of the main reasons I dislike Korn. They have my respect, but their music is under my tolerable section, rather then that of the music I actually like. Jesse McCartney is good? *picks himself off the floor and attempts to stop laughing* whew, sorry. I think it's hilarious he be considered a singer or musician. He is by far not a musician, and his singing talent is mild, it's far from being anything amazing. In half his songs he doesn't actually sing, he simply talks and seperates his words to accomodate the melody. A long note held here and there doesn't make him a singer, and most definitely doesn't make him good. I dislike almost all mainstream rap for lack of meaning or the composition of anything containing worthwhile content. I dislike anything containing Jermain Dupree, simply because he's there to say "Uh, yeah, this the remix" and get paid millions of dollars for doing so. I dislike anything containing Gwen Stefani outside of No Doubt because lets face it, her talent has already peaked and shes just going downhill. I dislike acoustic rap...wtf? An example of this is on the new Coca Cola commercial where the retard is on a roof singing about chilling with the world *sigh*. I dislike the song "Girlfight" simply because, it doesn't make sense. I dislike "The Speed of Sound" by Coldplay because it is intensely overplayed and overappreciated. I dislike anything from the Disney channel because for some reason anyone who gets a show thinks they have singing talent as well. I could mention so much more but I'll leave it at that.

Bach sat in an overly lavished room Drake had set aside for him to stay in for a short time. Free, of course, yet Bach took the room reluctantly. He preferred much simpler surroundings and the bright, decorative room nearly hurt his eyes as they scanned his temporary abode. He brought a glass of wine to his lips and took a sip, closing his eyes and savoring the sweet taste. Although he despised the lavished lifestyle, he greatly enjoyed their alcohol. As he continued to drink he heard a muffled scream from within a room close to his own. As he stood from his seat he looked to the sword laying solemn just above his bedsheets. Drake had requested he not carry the weapon openly around the establishment and Bach had decided he had no choice but to obide by the rules previously in place. However, he slid the sheath of the sword into it's place on his belt and left the room. He walked down the crowded hallway, people walking franticly and discussing the matter going on in the room towards the end of the corridor. It became increasingly difficult to reach the room as he neared the entrance. He shoved people from the path, his overwhelming stature resulting in a large opening within the throng of people. As he reached the front he saw Drake and the others standing cautiously and Valeria growling wildly in the center of the room. "Not her again..." he mumbled quietly.

K sighed hearing the words of the triumphant Asariel. His eyes returned to Azrael who crawled slowly across the floor, a futile attempt to reach his blade still several feet away from the cowering body. He walked silently to Azrael, stopping next to him and looking down upon the fallen angel. "You should've known better," he spoke in a solemn, much more serious voice then usual. "My pity for you has long since parted," he spoke again, raising the large axe above his head. His eyes closed as the heavy metal edge of the axe dropped towards the ground and found Azrael's neck. His head was severed and convulsed slightly as K placed the axe upon his shoulder, letting out a sigh as he turned to Asariel. "It had to be done," he spoke, sheathing his sword and shaking off K's emotionless look. "Mercy is for the weak, you'll soon learn," he spoke again, turing and walking in the direction Reoan had went. OOC: Sorry it's so short, but I figured I'd leave it up to the experts to take it from here.

Maxi, although not the coolest in my opinion, is the character I'm best with. He's so quick I've beaten everyone I've faced at least twice without getting hit at all, and seldom do I lose, not that I can remember anyhow lol. Characters like Kilik have long range but it's easy to get around them and attack a weak area. While using Maxi it's easy for him to shift an attack from one direction to another and deflect or counterattack the enemy. On characters like Nightmare he's almost unbeatable, since they're so incredibly slow, you can do 3 attacks in the time it takes him to swing his sword once lol. I've seen people defend Nightmare and I assure you I can use him just fine, he's just not my style. He's the stereotypical "strong yet slow" character and although his attacks are powerful, there are remedies to every one offering numerous ways to dodge even his best attacks. My second choice would be Mitsurugi. He's obviously popular here and for good reason. His attacks are powerful and quick, some of the best in my opinion. He also has numerous stances that are able to increase his own attack power or throw the enemy off-guard. However, he has a lackluster defense and a lot of his attacks leave you open to a blow from the opponent. Ivy would be my third choice. Her sword is deadly and you can win the fight without even moving from the starting position lol. It actually shakes people up a bit since her attack length is so long and even when you think you're safe you have to be on your guard. She is incredibly useful and most people are oblivious on how to avoid some of her better attacks leaving her with unbelievable physical potential.

It boasts the greatest speed of the entire 1st fleet and is by far the largest. Outfitted with the latest cannons and firearm technology, the Dauntless is incredibly dangerous and feared throughout the sea as the Meran Army's "Wooden Dragon." It's large white sails trimmed with the signature red lining of the Meran, it can be seen from great distances without the use of a telescope. The inside is luxurious and has an incredible amount of space to carry even the largest of Meran troops and their equipment over any stretch of sea. Now in the hands of the pirate Captain Red, the ship sways softly in the docks of the Middleton harbor awaiting the return of it's infamous pilot. (for a more detailed explanation of the Dauntless, click here) The Prologue I couldn't believe how the news had spread of my theft of the great Meran ship. There were posters everywhere offering outrageous rewards for any information concerning the ship or the whereabouts of a tall red-haired man. Luckily I'd aquired a bandana and my hair had yet to be seen by any residents of Middleton. However, it wouldn't be long before the ship was reported, and I had to be gone by then. Red walked from a crowded a grocery stand, numerous spices and food materials cluttered the bags he carried in each hand. He found the people of Middleton to be easy prey to thieving and aquired more then enough money to cover his expenses. The problem would be the aquisition of a crew. Sure, Middleton was full of talented fishermen, thieves, gunman, people of all sorts, but who would be rebellious enough to join his crew on the Dauntless? He returned to the ship with all the supplies and dropped them off quickly to Juri and left once again in search of adequate members to join up. Explanation This post is simply meant to begin the RP and get this thing going. The Prologue is merely a chance to introduce your character and tell how you joined the crew. Tell what you were doing before joining the crew, how you joined the crew, and anything after you board the ship for the first time. This includes the decoration of your room, touring the ship, meeting the NPC's, anything you'd like. As more and more people join the crew and board the ship you'll have more people to interact with so the later posts will have more people to use in their posts, however the first couple will be the very first to join the crew and probably the closest to Red since he found them first. Keep in mind the order of the posts and how you want your character to develop throughout the story while posting. Your Journal This is purely optional. As you've seen in both my posts so for there is italic font placed before the actual story begins. This can be either a writing before the events of the day, anticipating what might happen or your initial feelings towards another character, or it can be after the events of the day looking back on things you've done and whats happened. Mine is placed after the journey and your's can be the same as well, it's merely a way to elaborate on your writing and create anticipation for the reader before actually posting your part of the story. As I said before, it's optional and you can do it every now and then, before every post, or not at all, it's your choice. Final Thoughts I've accepted everyone who posted a sign-up because they were all really good. I trust each and every one of you to make this RP as great as I know it can be. Well Jake, I'm not quite sure what happened to Underoath lol. They changed singers between the two albums so I'm assuming that had something to do with the change, but I can't really speak for the band. Some of the new stuff is great, but the older songs have a lot more feeling in them and the lyrics are much better (I think). Breakdowns are also absent more or less in "They're Only Chasing Safety," I was disappointed with a lot of the songs. However, I think the band meshes really well together, and although the type of music they make is not to your liking, they are good at what they do, so I give them respect best I can. High-pitched screaming isn't rare to metal and genres of the sort, but good high-pitched screaming is hard to find lol. A lot of bands have 1 or 2 fantastic members that are overshadowed by the mediocrity of the rest of the band. I've heard some truly great screamers that just don't get the credit they deserve because the music just isn't good. I'm sure you'd agree that a band has to mesh well to produce music to the best of their ability. The members can't just go out on stage and do their own thing hoping for the best. A lot of high-pitched screamers join bands with old school guitar rifts and music thats all over the place that just degrades their voice to no end. Thanks for the recommendation of the Arcacia Strain, they really do have good breakdowns. However, I'm old-fashioned and don't think I'll ever get over Norma Jean lol. They have a 15 minute song on the first album thats just amazing if you listen to the whole thing. I forget the name but after listening to the whole CD just after buying it I couldn't put it down. You know it's hard to change your mind after falling in love with a band lol. Same goes for Atreyu, they'll always have my recommendation. And Symphony In Peril, although new to my CD case, offers a lot to the metal listeners, I encourage all of you to buy it if you havn't already.

Hatebreed usually gets me going if need be. Songs like "I Will Be Heard" just make you angry lol.

My favorite is "Confined" for simply the same reasons as you. This is a change I really enjoyed. A lot of people jumped on me for disliking the change in Slipknot, but they could really learn something from As I Lay Dying on how to do these things.

I liked "Frail Words Collapse" a lot and my expectations for this album were pretty high. Luckily they were met, just in a different way lol. As you said, it's a bit different then the previous albums and although I was a bit skeptical at first, I've learned to love the change they've made, however slight or blatant it may be from song to song. I think they've evolved a lot from their earlier works and this is just proof of how far they've come along since they started. As you said, the melodies are much more solid and they've learned to branch out from the original metal they've made since the band started. Kudos to them
