I don't think it's a question of God being the only viewpoint, it's simply that partly because of this, people immediately condemn any symbol that is contrary. In some cases, the use of such symbolism is designed to be a particular commentary...so it's not always just there as a hollow symbol. However, I do think that most of the time, it's probably used in a rebellious context. And in western society, which is primarily Christian, Satan represents rebellion against the status quo.
Maybe my veiws are a bit jaded. I suppose they are and I would apologize for it however it's something I just can't help. I don't believe that other ideas are necessarily "censored" for lack of a better word, but shunned. Ideas contradictory to that of what we like to call "normal" are often placed aside, and those in support of something different are ridiculed for being just that, different. Whether it's religion, music, whatever you may be interested in, it's all relative. Theres so many things preventing us from expressing ourselves and ultimately being who we are already, do we really need our art, thoughts, even intimate feelings to be censored merely because someone deems them unfit for the eyes of those they long to control? Labels clutter everyone and everything making it hard to even develop a sense of individuality without feeling like an outcast, and now the only outlet we've been left with is shrinking and the freedom people die fighting for is losing it's value with each passing day. It's hard not to be adamant about and it's hard to understand really.

I actually feel bad for not noticing this sooner. I'm not much of an artist concerning photoshop and things of that nature, however the more traditional art I truly love and am passionate about. However, I don't see much of that here, hence my lack of posting in this forum, in this particular area. However, after rambling as such I must say I will be more attentive in this forum. Your artwork is truly amazing and as those above me have said you have a great deal of talent. I don't believe you need any praise from me, however, since you've already gotten it from Retri, Boo, etc, some of the best around here, in my opinion. Anyhow the last two you posted were my favorite of the bunch. I enjoy your character very much, and his placement in the assortment of pieces you've shown make the meaning that much more blatant for those who observe your artwork. I havn't really read anything you've written since I like to see the work and percieve what it means for myself, even if it turns out to be wrong or off the general topic you were going for. Anyhow, congrats on your popularity here and kudos to you for all the fantastic artwork you've shown. Thanks

I was waiting for you to post James, and I'm glad you have. You always seem to offer a different perspective on these things and it's definitely needed concerning important points such as this. The relation to this forum is one I probably should've thought of before. As you said, some words are censored and rightly so, but the content and real art of the forum is left open to be veiwed by any who choose to do so. This is how I wish for our society to be. As I mentioned before, censorship is warranted in some areas, but even after posting warnings and showing age appropriate logos music and movies are still censored. As far as religion, God is our only veiwpoint as of now, in my opinion. Yes there are several different religions, but the majority of them all go back to God and although they won't admit, a lot of them are incredibly similar. No, I don't worship Satan, but I don't believe in God either, and I've learned not to tell people this lol. I have before, friends, or those who've asked, and they treat me differently knowing that have different beliefs. Which is discrimination just the same, whether race or creed or whatever the subject may be, it's all discrimination. I believe that it's my choice and although I live my life without regret, I can't help but wonder if I'm wrong and they're right. But I do know I shouldn't have to question myself because they're uncomfortable with who I am.

My god I love this game...sorry lol. DW has a pretty good amount of playable characters so it's hard to choose just one. The Shu Dynasty is by far my favorite of the three original ones. Ma Chao is probably my favorite since his musou pretty much owns everyone in the immediate area. He also has his own horse and in the later games of the series his horse attacks are really useful. My second choice would be Zhou Tai since he's just amazingly cool and his mosou owns generals.
That's all awesome guys, but please please PLEASE do me a HUGE favor and never, never, EVER, under ANY circumstances, associate Underoath with metal. Nothing against them (well, I hate them, but whatever), but they are in NO WAY metal. Not at all. No. In fact, they're not even hardcore. They're post-hardcore poppy stuff, whatever you want to call it. I love their message and all, but their music isn't metal. And I really want to thank you guys for knowing that Hardcore isn't metal. Not enough people understand that. And Justin, I think the best band you listed is As I Lay Dying. Their new disc is phenominal, and best of all, they've converted nearly entirely to pure melodic death metal! YES! Praise the lord!
Concerning Norma Jean (which isn't mentioned in the above post, but one before it), if you're going to listen to them, listen to "Bless the Martyr Kiss the Child." This CD is absolutely amazing and contains their best song, which everyone seems to love, "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste." My god, the breakdowns in this song will shatter your heart as you listen, trust me. O' God the Aftermath really isn't Norma Jean as far as I'm concerned. It's not near as good as their previous album and I was kind of disappointed. Concerning Underoath, I assume you're referring to "They're Only Chasing Safety," their latest CD. I say this because "The Changing of Times," their original CD contains almost no singing or "poppish" beats at all. Aside from tracks 1 and 5 I believe each song has rather good guitar and amazing high-pitched screaming. Really I don't know a band that contains as much high-pitched screams as Underoath. Maybe it's not your thing, and thats totally cool, but you can't classify all their music by the songs you've heard. They've changed and although I don't hate the new stuff, it's very different from the first album. Neither album is metal, however, and whoever said so just hasn't heard Underoath lol. The first album I would classify as Hardcore, and the second I would classify as Screamo, maybe Hardcore in certain areas. Something tells me the song you've heard most by Underoath is "Reinventing Your Exit," am I right? As I Lay Dying is fantastic, by the way, and I'm wearing their shirt right now lol. I highly recommend Symphony In Peril to you Jake, if you havn't heard them as of yet, something tells me you'll like it. Your tastes are much more metal then my own, although we like a lot of the same bands. I assume you're not a big fan of From Autumn to Ashes, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein? You don't seem to like Screamo much lol.

Thanks for the comments. This subforum doesn't really get much activity, especially compared to the other one's in the Arena, it's really a shame. I appreciate everything you've both said though. I like leaving poems unexplained so that you can look at them from any POV you want to. It can mean something completely different to you but at least it means something. I'll leave "No Four Leaf Clover" as a bit of a mystery to you guys, since it sort of has that way with people already lol. However, just as the title implies, think about luck while you're reading it. What is luck? And is it really in your favor? Something that seems like a lucky break now can finish quite messy later, so is luck really a good thing? Depends I suppose, something to think about. "Better With Words" is pretty self-explanitory, and although it doesn't have the poem "flow," it's a solid writing, or so I believe. It has just as much feeling as a regular poem, maybe even more since it's almost coming from my mouth rather then the page you're reading it from. I could have easily livened up with complex words or rhymed a bit, but it just wouldn't be the same. The "letter" quality gives it an interpersonal feel. I don't see how you could miss my true feelings in the poem (referring to RiflesAtRecess). The contemplation and confusion is obvious and the feeling is there. But what relationship have you had that isn't complex or confusing? I thought it was pretty easy to relate to =/

Kugo sighed, becoming as calm as he could before changing his stance to a defensive one. He had to keep his cool and attempt to feel his opponents rather then see them physically. This darkness was to the demon's advantage, however, he wasn't completely helpless, he did use to be a demon after all. He gripped the sword's handle tightly with his right hand and held the girth of the blade with his left. His eyes remained closed, his ears perking up slightly making sure to catch any sound to be heard within the row of prison cells. He found it strange that all the moans and taunts from the prisoners had stopped and the room was completely silent as he did his best to concentrate. A drop of sweat ran along the peak of his nose and dripped off slowly, splashing upon the ground. In that very instant he heard a shift in the weight of the room and felt the edge of a blade run along the bare skin of his shoulder and disappear instantly. He winced a bit and felt his eyes tighten as the cut began to seep blood slowly. However, he stood steady, his stance just as strong as before. He refused to move and even a sword as heavy as his own never wavered in the slightest. Again he felt the shift and the precise tip of a blade running down the small of his back. He gritted his teeth, tensing his muscles as the blood poured from the wound and caressed the surrounding skin. "Won't you even fight back?" laughed Leviathan from a dark corner of the room. "Lucifer overestimates you. To believe you were once a demon, utter nonsense," he spoke again, a strong tone of confidence in his voice. Kugo remained quiet, continually steady. Yet again he felt the shift, however this time from a different position, and the blade stroking the bridge of his nose past his eye and down the whole of his cheek. A strike to his face left him feeling the agony of cold steel as he allowed a small moan to part his lips and exhale the sour air he'd once held dear. He could feel the crimson fluid flow over his lips and down his chin, dripping to the floor and joining the sweat from earlier. The bodily fluids forming a small puddle of tainted scarlet upon the rough cobblestone. Kugo had had enough, he finally knew how to combat his opponents and would no longer be burdened by the blood he knew all to well. Again the shift, and his eyes remained closed. He could picture the room and he felt the air against his dampened face as the figure drew closer. He quickly sidestepped, spinning sharply and catching a large target with the brim of his sword. He heard a scream and although he couldn't distinguish the voice, he knew he'd struck a solid blow to one of his opponents, and the satisfaction was overwhelming. He could detect the feelings of his demon past returning to him and his senses sharpening within the pitch black cellar. He smiled a bit to himself, his eyes deepening, forming dark red pits into his very soul. OOC: I'm not sure what Sapphire hopes to accomplish here. I tried to make it as interesting as possible without killing anyone lol. I'll give the searching posts a day or so and then I'll post Gabriel's position and such so we can go save him.

lol, I love Baron. To tell you the truth I really don't have a problem with the character limit. 500 is plenty really. As you can see there is an image, 4 formatted links, a quote, and a thanks to Revue. This is more then enough and although it's not all needed, I found the limit to be perfectly fine for anything you might have in mind. Now if your link is extensively long with a high amount of characters you don't really need then I can see where you're having problems, but is that really OB's fault? or OB's problem for that matter? I'm sure James is busy enough without having to waste his time formatting the site's signature spacing for a couple extra characters.

Our Ship, the Dauntless The Dauntless is the most impressive ship the Meran army has aquired as of yet. Not only does it boast the most speed of the entire 1st fleet, it was extremely heavily guarded making it almost impossible for even Red to steal. However as he sailed from the Meran captial, the Dauntless' sturdy wood below him and Longhorn's tattered map in hand he was overtaken by an unbelievable burst of confidence. Now that he's obtained a ship he needs to find a crew, and once he does, they'll need to know all the in's and out's of the ship, and thats what I'm for. The Upper Deck, Lower Deck, and Armory The Upper Deck The upper deck is the very top of the ship. Cluttered with masts and extra rope to man the sails it boasts the greatest amount of space on the whole ship. There are two doors on each side of the boat leading to the lower levels as well as one leading to the bridge where the steering and controls of the boat are kept. Each piece of wood is of the best variety and tarnished to perfection giving the boat an extremely professional look and heavily lustered outer appearance. The Lower Deck and Armory The lower deck is just below that of the upper deck and houses the several cannons aboard the ship as well as the armory. With as much as 10 cannons running up each side of the boat it is able to shoot from both left and right positions as well as from the back if needed. Wooden flaps cover the openings of the cannons concealing their position and offering optimum protection from outside forces. The armory is found in the center of the lower deck and contains hundreds of cannonballs and other ammunition concerning large projectile fire. The Living Quarters, Bathing Area, and Conference Room The Living Quarters and Bathing Area Below the lower deck you will find the living quarters area containing a large corridor with rooms across from one another down almost the entire length of the boat. The first two rooms you'll come to are Red's and Hugo's and house the largest amount of space out of all the rooms. The cabins adjacent to their own are the rooms of Juri and Ginger, considerably smaller yet still of great size. The rest of the rooms down the long hallway are free for the taking. Each one offers the same amount of space and is furnished identically, however they may be customized and changed as you see fit. Each room contains a large bed, end-table, desk, window on the far wall, and adequate space for other pieces or furniture you may require. Past the corrider containing the bedrooms is the bathing area containing several stalls equipped with the latest in aquatic cleaning technology. Fire is used to warm the water to prime temperature and pre-developed waterheads seperate the water into streams offering mild pressure and as much shower time as needed. However, women weren't naturally found aboard Meran ships and there is no seperation concerning gender. Even so, each stall offers adequate privacy and reveals no part of the body from the ankle up and the neck down. The Conference Room At the very beginning of the living quarters you will find the conference room adjacent to the stairs. This room is lavished and heavily decorated containing a large square table down the middle and map upon the wall at the very end. This room is used for meetings among the group and any announcements or important information that must be shared among the passengers. When a meeting takes place Red will send someone to obtain the others and inform them of the occurance of a meeting. It is important that everyone attend each and every meeting held on the journey for Longhorn's treasure. The Training Area, Forge, Firing Range, Sub-Armory, and Various Space The Training Area and Forge This level is dedicated to weaponry and the training of soldiers and recruits aboard the Dauntless. The Training Area is a large, open room equipped with expertly weaved mats across the whole of the floor. Weapons scatter the walls and the several stands surrounding the outer area of the room. Small amounts of medical supplies are kept nearby to assure the prevention of any injury substained while training. On the very ends of the room are statues and posts used for hand to combat and wooden sword training. Just across from the training area is the Forge used for smithery and the creation/temperment of melee weapons. There is no designated smith aboard the ship as of yet but Red has been trained in the arts and can temper your weapon to a certain extent. He may also be found simply hammering around the Forge, it relaxes him and allows him an outlet to the anger he builds up inside. The Firing Range and Sub-Armory Adjacent to the Training Area is the Firing Range where new guns are tested and old ones are used for practice. The wooden beams of this room have been specifically tempered and steel has been inserted into each piece insuring that the boat will not be penetrated by any stray bullets or guns containing to much powder. Targets have been set up throughout the edges of the room for practice and precise gunplay. Across from the Firing Range is the Sub-Armory, which is called so because it contains even more ammunition yet it is much smaller then the Armory atop the lower deck. It contains mostly bullets and ammunition of the smaller variety rather then the cannon balls and explosives kept at the Lower Deck Armory. Various Space This is space towards the end of this level containing several counters and space fit for the opening of shops or trading posts aboard the ship. No shops have been opened as of yet but later in our journey or even now items can be aquired and sold in this area of the ship. The Infirmary, Meditation Room, and Garden The Infirmary This is the hospital wing of the ship and contains several beds smaller then that of the living quarters designed for a single person and increased comfort for optimum recovery after serious injury. This is where the majority of medicine and health enhancers are kept and although the ship has yet to find a doctor there is directions posted all throughout the room on how to tend to different types of illnesses or physical defects after a rough fight. Meditation Room This level is usually kept quiet to accomodate the patients of the Infirmary so it was the best place for a room designed for meditation and spiritual thinking. It lacks windows yet the room is cluttered with candles leaving several combinations of light to accomodate the occupant of the room. There is several tapestries and spiritual statues scattered throught the edges of the room and a large mat in the center for any activities planned to take place. The Garden The garden is towards the end of this level and is the largest room within the current section. The ship wasn't previously equipped with a garden but Ginger thought it necessary for deep thought and a place to put something pretty among the other war clutter throughout the boat. There is several windows on each wall offering a great deal of light for the plants to grow and prosper within the ship. A path has been formed throughout the plethora plants used to walk through and take notice to the beautiful shrubbery throughout the garden area. Benches have been placed throughout the walkway to oblige anyone interested. The Prison and Cell Area The Prison The first area of the final level of the boat is the prison area. It contains larger and more accomodating cells then that of the next area. Prisoners kept here are those yet to be found guilty or people who pose no threat to the lives of the passngers aboard the ship. Thieves or those of the younger variety are often kept here to seclude them from the rough criminals and dangerous captives of the next area. The Cell Area The cell area is the dank lower level of the Dauntless created for only the worst and most dangerous of criminals. Steel bars prevent them from escaping and are fixed firmly to the floor and ceiling. Each cell is equipped with a mere bench and makeshift toilet for the prisoners. Food is brought here once a day and nothing more then a few scraps left behind in the kitchen. Not the best place to be. Final Thoughts This is the full description of the large ship we'll be staying on during our adventure to find Longhorn's treasure. If theres any questions please post them or PM me personally. I'd also like to ask for opinions on ways to make it better or even ways to make the RP better. I was thinking of giving everyone a theme based job to do aboard the ship to add to post content but I didn't want anyone to have a job they completely disliked or didn't want. Any thoughts on this are welcome as well. The thread at the Inn is still open for sign-up's and will be for the rest of the weekend. Some of those who previously sign-up are going to be away this weekend so I decided to delay the start of the RP to accomodate everyone involved. When the RP begins you'll find a list of participants here, at the Square, and as a final post at the inn displaying the usernames and character names of those involved. Thanks

I'm not blessed with the virtues of digital cable, so channels like "Fuse" are pretty much impossible for me to see. I'm left with VH1 and the stereotypical MTV which plays music about 1 out of the 24 hours in a day. And that one hour is full of music, that ironically, I don't like lol.

Heres two poems I've decided to post that are open to critiques or any opinions you might have concerning the two. Any questions feel free to ask. No Four Leaf Clover I'll hide my thoughts inside these walls and I'll lose the world while I fall I didn't fight hard enough to win but we both know I tried my best oh, I knew this would happen before long but I still don't know where I went wrong and the clock rolls to eight past ten so now I'll lay me down to rest I can't forget the times it went without defect and I can't believe this raw effect of realizing that this is all over all over before it ever started so I'll think tonight of you and I'll wish that you thought of me today I'll find no four leaf clover for luck and I have long since parted Notes: I would describe this poem but I'd like the rest of you to say what you think of it first. It has mild rhyming in it which I don't believe I did purposely but it doesn't sound to bad. It's pretty jumbled but it's a poem not a song so it offers more leverage. Better With Words I wish that I was better with words so I could tell you exactly how I feel then all these sad attempts at happiness wouldn't have to happen at all a poem you'll never read a thought you'll never know and this leads me to a question what's the good in living life if I never take a chance? perhaps I should try and tell you but odds are that I won't and odds are that you probably aren't what I?ve been searching for these days so now I?ll watch as hope fades to disappointment and once again I?ll say... I should have seen this coming all along Notes: This poem is very literal and I find it actually just sounds like me talking rather then the usual poem flow lol. However it has solid meaning and I'd like any critique you have for it, as well as the poem before it.

Suikoden 2 Flik - He's the only character I'm going to mention here since 1) He was my favorite character in the game and he ruled in battle and 2) I havn't played this game in so long I doubt I could remember an adequate amount of characters. Suikoden 3 Group 1 Geddoe - He is the leader of the team and it's a well-deserved position of the bearer of a True Rune. His True Lightning rune makes him unbeatable in battle and even without magic he is a powerful melee attacker and adequate healer as well. Hallec (interchangeable) - He is an incredibly powerful melee attacker that I use a lot throughout the game. However, I've labeled him interchangeable since he isn't necessary and can be replaced by a better character later in the game. Group 2 Fred - He is another powerhouse I use mostly for defense and protection of Viki. Equipping him with the Firefly rune causes the enemy to always attack him instead of everyone else, and since he takes such little damage he does a great job protecting the rest of the team. Viki - She is my spellcaster of the group and equipped with her Pale Gate and Blinking rune she's amazing in battle. I use her to heal as well on the off-chance that another person is unable to. Group 3 Ayame - She is an amazing character in battle and boasts the impressive Shrike Rune. She also has a good amount of rune slots as well to help with magic attacks as well as physical ones. Landis - He is a physical powerhouse and combined with Ayame they have an amazing combo. Landis falls asleep after the combo, but obtaining the "Yellow Scarf" accessory banishes this side-affect and leaves him unharmed with an amazing combo. Support Gordo - He is the master of baths and having him as your support returns HP and heals all status ailments after each battle. Suikoden IV Hero - He isn't able to be taken out of the main line-up, however, I'd probably keep him there anyhow lol. He does good physical damage and when equipped with a Fury or Double-Strike rune he can do even more damage. Also, the Rune of Punishment comes in handy a lot throughout the game. Snowe - He is a playable character in the beginning of the game but certain events cause him to be just another NPC until the very end. He has an amazing combo with Hero that does the most damage in the game, from what I can see. Mizuki - The holder of the famed Shrike rune she is a fantastic characer to have aboard your team. She is great with magic and boasts 3 rune slots after some leveling up. Kika or Ted - First, Kika is a fantastic character. Her Falcon rune offers the best alternative to equipping a Fury or Double-Strike rune to increase damage. She also has a combo with Hero that damages all enemies, which comes in handy early on. Ted is my second choice since he boasts the power of an amazing true rune. I think it's better then Hero's, personally, but thats just my opinion. Support Yu - He is a doctor that becomes increasingly useful throughout the game. He returns HP after each battle and a good amount at that.

Ashem walked silently through the ravished streets of Tashbaan. He'd never been to a city such as this and it provided a less stressful environment then that of the busy port Zalindreh. However, the streets were still cluttered with people, dressed in much more decorative clothing then himself. His eyes widened with every turn and he couldn't believe he'd missed out on a city such as this. The things he could steal, the people he could swindle, this place has real potential he thought to himself. He hadn't eaten in quite awhile and as he passed a bakery his mouth flooded with saliva, his taste buds nearly bursting from the warm wheat smell. He wanted some, he needed some, but as his hands made their way to his small wool pockets, he found them empty and barren to anything of true value. We'll fix that he laughed to himself. Turning from the store and continuing his nonchalant walk down the crowded road. Just a minute later he found himself upon the ground, "Watch where your walking kid!" shouted a large disgruntled man. "Hah, sorry, guess I just wasn't paying attention," Ashem spoke nervously, returning to his feet and wiping himself off. "Well don't let it happen again, not everyone around here's as nice as me you know," the man spoke again, continuing his stroll. "Yeah, sorry," Ashem spoke, waving to him from behind. Easier then I imagined he smiled, pulling a bag of gold from his pocket and tossing it in the air. As he exited the bakery his mouth flooded with the taste of just made bread. This is amazing he thought, scarfing it down almost instantly and licking his fingers to savor the taste. However, his train of thought was interrupted by the sight of a beautiful women walking on the opposite side of the large road. Whoa, who's that?? he asked himself, his eyes brightening up at the sight of such a beautiful women. He ran as fast as he could across the street, bumping into sveral people along the way, unintentional this time. He entered a nearby building and ran up several flights of stairs reaching the roof as quickly as possible. He looked down among the crowded streets of Tashbaan and ran his eyes over each and every head below. Hah, there she is! he exclaimed, as she turned from the main road on to a much smaller one. Ashem hopped from roof to roof, trying his best to keep up with her. He soon learned she was easy to spot, her hair cluttered with several metal pins to keep it in it's extravagant shape. He had to meet her and as he contemplated just what to say he stumbled, his feet sliding along the roof edge and failing to cling as he fell to the ground. He ripped through a cloth overhang and hit the dirt floor with a loud thud, dust erupting from his tattered figure. "Ow..." he mumbled, slowly rising to his feet and attemping to clean himself off. His mouth dropped at the sight of the beautiful women from before standing just in front of him. He struck a hero's pose, "Whew, I must've lost my balance trying to save that kid on the roof. Luckily my bones are tough and nearly unbreakable or I might've been hurt," he spoke with great confidence. However, when his eyes reverted back to the women he found that she had already continued walking in the opposite direction. "Hey wait!" Ashem shouted running towards her. She'd been lost in the crowd and Ashem panted franticly as he ducked in and out of stores and homes searching for her. He caught a glimpse of her from afar and watched as she entered a building of some sort. He ran as fast as he could and swung open the door, his eyes roaming the room for the ravishing figure he'd seen before. He spotted her behind the counter, attending to a customer and accepting a large amount of gold in exchange for a long sword. Ashem's jaw dropped once again. The sword was almost as beautiful as she was. The blade gleamed bright, even in the shadows of the store it shined with incredible luster. As the man sheathed it he caught a glimpse of the edge, incredibly sharp and forged to a precise angle. He approached the counter, stopping abruptly before her. "How may I help you?" she asked, her looks only enhanced from the closer veiw. "U-Um, a-ahh, see there was, u-uhh," he stumbled and turned a darker shade of red as his tongue tripped over it's words. "Do you need a sword tempered?" she asked, motioning to the sheaths hooked to his belt. He was quiet for a moment and then, "Yes!" he shouted, unhooking the blades and slamming them upon the counter. She looked a bit uneasy, and laughed nervously as she took them into her possession. However, Ashem continued to stand there, leaning against the counter and wiping the sweat from his head after such a great chase. "Do you need anything else?" she asked inquisitively, returning to the counter. "Well, could I ask your name?" Ashem spoke nervously. He was usually so confident when it came to women, however, this one was different. "My name is Eilania, however I prefer Wynnelle." OOC: Hope this is alright Aracdia and Pumpkin. Kugo walked quietly down a long, quiet hallway, his hands in his pockets and his eyes nearly closed. I hate this place he thought to himself, bringing a hand to his mouth and yawning. Finally, he reached the end of the hallway and found a sturdy wooden door. Nearing entry he lifted his leg and thrust it forward, making contact and causing the door to swing open with great force and slam the opposite side of the wall. He continued his walk into the room and found that it was empty. A short sigh of relief left his lips, he'd had enough action for one day. On the opposite side of the room was another door, and he opened this one more quietly, finding a stairwell leading down. Hmm, might as well he thought as he began his ascention further into the base. The stairwell spun in a quick circular motion and Kugo got almost dizzy making his way down. When he neared the bottom he heard muffled moans and faint words he couldn't manage to understand. He would've drawn his sword but there wasn't nearly enough room in the narrow stairwell. As soon as he reached the bottom he did so and contined his walk down a long corridor. He'd found the prison area, seeing cells on both sides as he made his way down the very middle. Men shouted and strung cups along the bars as he walked, beckoning him to set them free. He asked several of them if they knew anything about Gabriel, however he couldn't get a straight answer and became frustrated with the drunken demons and disgruntled angels found within the basement. He continued his walk all the way to the end, finding an empty cell opposite from a cell containing the only quiet person within the entire room. "Hey you," Kugo spoke loudly over the noise, motioning the man to come closer. The man said nothing, yet walked to the edge of his cell, his rough hands gripping the steel tightly. "Have you seen a man named Gabriel? He was quite the catch, they must've made a big deal about him around here?" Kugo inquired. The man sighed "Aye, I saw him here," the man spoke, his voice scratchy and difficult to understand. "Really?" Kugo asked surprised. "Aye, he sat in that very cell you see before you," the man said, pointing to the cell opposite his own. "He was given all the attention...I hated him," he spoke again. Kugo looked at him confused. "Lucifer is my God, I pray to him to let me go and allow me to join him, yet he scourns me so. And that Gabriel comes here, and he's "special" or so they say," the man grumbled. "Do you know where they took him?" Kugo asked, increasingly interested. "Aye, but if I tell you, would you kill him for me?"

Jake is very passionate about music, so sometimes his strong feelings can be mistaken for flaming. He's really just adamant about music and the points he makes concerning it. I'm just as passionate really, but I try to be nice best I can lol. Truth is, devils and signs of the sort are a big stereotype concerning metal. I recently got called a "devil worshipper" because I was wearing a Slayer shirt, not because I ran around screaming how much I loved Satan, merely because my shirt was black and I suppose I fit the stereotypical mold of "Slave to Satan," whatever that may be. This angers me to no end. Bands that have nothing to do with Satan (I.E. most of them) are discriminated against merely because stupid people lack interest in what the band actually stands for. No, I don't worship Satan, but even if I did, that is my choice. I don't get angry at Christians who gather at concerts or shows to listen to Christian music, and this most definitely promotes the Christian faith, by the way. And if I believed all the stereotypes I'd heard, then Christian gatherings would seem to be nothing more then large orgys containing blind, bible thumping hippies. However, I don't think this way, and neither should you. Also, as someone mentioned before, there is several Christian bands of metal orientation. In fact, some of my favorite bands are Christian bands, they have talent and although I'm not of the same religious background, I enjoy the music. Norma Jean, The Chariot, Underoath, Grey Lines of Perfections, Blessed Is He, all fantastic Christian bands. However, narrow-minded people close themselves off to a type of music contradictory to their own, or simply something different then the average tune they're use to. Well, this my friends, is a travesty. My advice, is to pull your head out of your *** and take a look at the world around you. Not the fake, fabricated world that you've developed over the years to make life seem more joyful and overwhelmingly happy. Back to censorship. It's been made even more clear to me throughout the posts in this thread that censorship has indeed gone to far. None of us can form explanations to some of the words mentioned that've been censored. Some things just lack the thought of a normal human being and it's brought me to the conclusion the censorship is completely one-sided. And it's becoming more so each and every day. These people who endorse the covering up or changing of lyrics and curses win everytime. And those of us who enjoy the music the way it is are left with very few alternatives to enjoy the music and movies we've come to love. I agree censorship is needed to a certain extent, but the line has been crossed ladies and gentlemen. Our freedoms have been jeopardized, and I suggest you all take notice of it.

The room was cluttered with the noise of grunts and words of triumph from one teammate or the other. However, Kugo had yet to begin the fight with his demon counterpart, they both stood still, their eyes meeting in an ominous stare. Soon the pair struck simultaneously, Kugo's large sword clashing with the edge of the man's steel katana. They both jumped back, the demon laughing loudly as his feet met the ground. "What's so funny?!" shouted Kugo, gritting his teeth in anger. "Lucifer has told me all about you, I know your every move and I'll counter it before it's even made," he spoke loudly, continuing his irratic laugh. Kugo screamed in anger, he refused to be mocked by that of a slave demon. He swung his large sword in a sideways motion, finding only air as the demon leapt quickly and regained his stance at the tip of Kugo's sword. "I told you, fool," he chuckled again. Kugo reared back, throwing his sword with all his strength. The man leapt from the tip and sliced down. Kugo was left defenseless and Katrina screamed as she ran towards him, outstretching her hand with a feeling of helplessness. However, metal clashed once again as small blades shot from Kugo's wristbands blocking the strike and sending the demon flying backward. "Lucifer said nothing of wrist blades!" he shouted in anger. "Guess he simply forgot to mention them. Oh and by the way...your dead," Kugo spoke with a smile. He laughed a bit to himself at the demon's surprised face. In that very instant Kugo's sword sliced through the man's torso from behind, returning to him and splattering blood across the ground as it scraped across his shoulder. Kugo heard a faint beep in the distance. "Hmm, whats that?" he whispered. "It's a bomb you idiot!" Katrina shouted, shoving him angrily. "Well it's not my fault, you're supposed to know the way around here, wheres the door?!" he shouted back. "I said I kno...hey wait, if you can throw that oversized sword, could you throw me?" she asked curiously. "Guess so," said Kugo, a confused look across his face. "Then do it! Throw me up into the rafters and we'll be safe from the explosion!" she shouted with glee. "My pleasure..." Kugo mumbled as he grabbed her torso, casting her towards the ceiling with all his might. He screamed to the others and one by one he tossed them into the rafters, each person grabbing the highest one they could. When the last person was up he looked around and saw that the timer on the bomb was almost up. Well what the hell am I supposed to do he thought to himself. There was nothing, all he could do was run as far away from the bomb as possible. He heard three coexisting beeps and dove as the bomb exploded. He tucked as tight as he could and to his surprise he flew through the wall, rolling several times down a large hallway. When the fire subsided the team jumped down, running to his aid. "Looks like you found the door," Katrina laughed as she helped him up. "Wish I knew it was here before," Kugo mumbled to himself. OOC: Each of us will use one post to search the base and then I'll post revealing the location of Gabriel and the site of the trade. He's spent years wandering from place to place in search of his past. His mind is cluttered with images and his dreams are haunted by people he's yet to meet. Her dark hair flowing in the crisp wind. "You're nothing more then a pawn for those of true power, you'll never obtain it yourself," she spoke again, her white face almost glowing in the silhouette of darkness around her. Bach had long since fallen to his knees and could do nothing but listen to the women mock all he was and ever would be. His eyes closed as he attempted to block the women's voice from his train of thought. However, he was unsuccessful and her high melodic tone penetrated his mind, echoing from wall to wall within his skull. "How does it feel? A man without a past and no future to brighten his eyes. You're hardly living, and you'll die alone," she said. Her eyes not wavering from his position upon the floor. "No..." he mumbled, lifting his foot and attempting to stand before the women. "No..." he spoke again, a little more loudly. His cape began to flow in the wind to accompany that of her hair revealing the sword at his side. "No!" he shouted, drawing his sword and gripping the handle tightly as he held it steady in front of him. "Your sword can't save you," she smiled, her crimson lips forming an evil curved shape. He screamed as he ran towards her, swinging his sword downwards slicing swiftly through the air. However, air is all he found and she had disappeared leaving nothing more then a wilting rose where she had once stood. Again, he fell to his knees, his sword the only support holding him from the ground. An indentation formed in his palm as he attempted to rise, stumbling forward and losing his balance. As he hit the floor he awoke from his dream, covered in sweat he rose from his bed and grabbed his face. He rubbed his eyes, but no matter how hard he worked the skin, it would never relinquish the vision of the women. It had been burned to his brain to forever burden him with thoughts of inadequacy and helplessness. OOC: Hope this is alright DC. If theres anything I need to change just ask.

The night, once quiet, was cluttered with the sounds of swinging pickaxes and shovels plummeting towards the ground and rupturing the rock below. Light was a rare commodity and candles were the only aid to men brave enough to treasure hunt in the dead of night. Several holes were scattered across the beach, each one abandoned for lack of wealth and success within them. The group had gathered close and it was believed that this, was the place they'd been searching for. Each man burrowed rapidly, except one, who watched silently over the group. He stood tall, his hands at his waist and a feathered silk hat upon his head. "We don't have all night gentlemen, if you intend to sleep I suggest you dig faster," he spoke, his voice full of arrogance and conceit. No doubt he was a captain assigned to this project by the government, and reluctant he was to accept it. However, the men continued to dig, expanding the hole's width and length to the best of their ability. Suddenly the silence was broken by a man's loud scream. "I've found something!" he shouted from across the large crevice. Everyone threw their tools to the ground and ran over to the spot, lit much brighter by the light of the approaching candles. The captain reached the location much later and shoved his way through the crowd, cursing and shouting something about ruffians. When he finally reached the center he gasped loudly, his eyes running over the rough, waterlogged wood of an old chest. "Don't just stand there, open it!" he shouted, startling the men standing solemn in the circle. The one who'd found the chest took an axe and swung it heavily towards the lock, shattering it instantly. The captain approached, shoving him from his path and flinging the box lid open. However, it did not contain the riches he'd hoped, merely, a guide to them... Shortly After I can remember that day, so clearly in my mind. The first day we all met, the day we'd begin our journey to find Longhorn's treasure. How young I was, so full of hopes and aspirations. I desired to be the best, more then anything. The best pirate there ever was, ever will be. I was to be hated by some, loved by some, but remembered by all. Longhorn, as eccentric as he may have been, was no fool. I had no idea of the perils we would endure, the troubles he had in store for us. "The food sucks on this boat," spoke Red through his teeth, cluttered with the meat of an old chicken leg. "We're pirates, how are we supposed to pilfer and plunder with slop like this in our stomachs," he spat again, throwing the barren bone to the floor. "Ahh stop yer complainin, this is the best I've eaten in years," spoke Hugo, gulping down another mug of beer. Red surveyed the rest of his passengers who seemed disgusted with the food as well. He turned to their cook, Juri, "Is this the best you can do? I knew I shouldn't have saved you from the dogs..." he mumbled. "We don't have any supplies. How do you expect me to cook good food without even the simplest of spices?" he snarled, admirably defending the food he'd made. "Fine fine, we're coming up on the Middleton port. We'll dock there and get some supplies," spoke Red, standing from his stool and stretching as he began to walk from the room. "Don' forget, I need me a crew to be sailin' these high waters!" shouted Hugo from across the room. "I know, I know," Red mumbled, closing the door with a thud behind him. "The Captains got a lot on his mind, it's probably better if you ease up on him," spoke Ginger from her table near the bar. "Yeah yeah..." Hugo crumbled, continuing to feast. The air was cold as Red walked along the very edge of the deck, gazing out among the water. He leaned against the railing, closing his eyes as the wind swept over him, blowing the hair from his face. He knew they needed a crew, but who would join them? A ragtag team of misfits searching for Longhorn's treasure. It was dangerous, since the map had been found the whole world was searching for the esteemed riches Captain Longhorn had left behind. Other pirates like himself sailed the seas constantly searching for any sign concerning the treasure, and the government searched diligantly as well, although they deny it even exists. His train of thought was interrupted by a sudden jerk of the boat. He turned to see Hugo directing the ship to a nearby port. "We're nearin' port Cap'n, bes' be ready to land soon!" he shouted from atop the ledge where the steering was controlled. Red sighed as he placed his hands in his pockets and reentered the ship. The boat shook violently as it rocked back and forth between the docks of Middleton. Hugo soon joined the other three within the boat, "So, we ready to go then?" he asked. Red laughed as he turned to the loud, short man "Hugo, you'll be staying here," he spoke. "Wha'?" he asked with astonishment. "We're trying to attract people, not scare them away," Red spoke with a laugh. The rest of them laughed as well, leaving Hugo to pout at the bar, serving himself to a plethora of alcohol. "You guys stay too, keep an eye on him and I'll be back soon," said Red as he turned and walked from the boat. The port was one of the busiest he'd ever seen and he had to be on his toes as to not run into anyone. He walked down the large cobblestone street with his hands in his pocket's as he observed the different types of stores. He removed his hands from his pockets and found them empty. Guess I'm a little low on money he thought to himself. Guess we'll have to go about this the old fashion way... The Sign-Up Red is the Captain of a large ship he's stolen from the Meran government and claimed as his own. This, however, was not his only bounty. He also found Longhorn's map and stole it to use as his own to aid him in the search for Longhorn's treasure. Since the map was found people have searched far and wide to be the first to find the treasure, but Red has found himself an edge and intends to assemble himself the best crew possible to accompany him on his search for Longhorn's treasure. He's already found an expert pirate by the name of Hugo to accompany him on the journey. He's supposedly the best around when it coems to reading the winds, predicting the weather, and plundering even the greatest of treasures. However, he's reached his peak and Red fears he won't prove as much help as originally intended. Also accompanying them will be Ginger the tailor and Juri the cook. Both have pledged allegiance to Red and owe him their lives. Both had almost met their end by the hands of the Meran government, yet he saved them and asked them to help him along on his journey. You are to create a character to accompany these four to find Longhorn's treasure. They don't have to be pirates necessarily, anyone can join the crew. A theif, a stealth ninja, even a samurai who's fallen on hard times. I expect a lot of variety when it comes to this. A crew full of different characters makes the story more fun and adds to the awkward character interactment. A well-known smith stumbled upon him lying on the ground in a dark alleyway. He grew up under the smith's care and developed a strong love for weapons and their use. He loved the man who'd found him and referred to him as father for the rest of his days. The two formed a strong bond and Red became a model citizen at home as well as in school. However, when his father died he had no one to care for him and ran away from the town he'd come to love. He joined a band of theives and learned much from them about stealing and plundering to make a living. He soon became one of the best out there and as he grew older began to branch out from the group. He fell on hard times and had lost almost all morale until he heard Longhorn's map had been found. How else could he prove himself and his worth then to find the treasure? But how... Personality: Red is two sides to the same coin. He loves to joke around and often speaks his mind on most occasions. He is outgoing and usually wears his heart on his sleeve. There will be plenty of fighting on the high seas as well as land. Cannon battles and all out hand-to-hand war. However, there will be plenty of character development and comic relief as well. I expect people to interact or even form small teams or groups within the actual crew. Theres no limit to the number of members to join but I expect there won't be to many, depending on the posts following this one. The Angel of Death lunged forward, his flaming sword leaving a trail of red in the misty air. His target was Asariel, and he swung rapidly as he approached the fallen. However, Asariel was still blessed with the gift of flight, and immediately leapt from the ground, avoiding the oncoming attack. He almost instantly burst back towards the ground, lodging his sword in Azrael's shoulder. Blood squirt in every direction as Asariel flipped backwards, ripping his sword from the enemies appendage. K just watched, amazed by the fight he was seeing between two such immense forces. Azrael shouted wildly, in pain and fury. He clenched his fists tight and grunted wildly, regaining the use of his arm after the attack. Asariel struck again, however, this time unsuccessfully. The Angel of Death stepped aside and swept his large fist through the air, striking Asariel in the stomach and relaying him to a new position upon the floor across the room. He laughed loudly, stomping his feet as he made his way to the fallen. However, he stopped abruptly just in time to avoid the flying blade of K's large axe. It returned to him instantaneously and he crouched as the rough wood returned to his shoulder. "You'll be fighting me now!" K shouted from across the barren the floor. Azrael turned to him, laughing once again "You're no match for me Zodiac, you will die!" he bellowed as he leapt from the ground, sword drawn. He ran towards K at full speed and they met with a loud clash metal. The sparks shot wildly as metal scraped against metal. Azrael drew back swinging his sword savagely several times. K swung as well, metal cracking like thunder as both weapons met again and again. K sweat like mad, the fire of Angel's sword almost engulfing his hands with each strike of his weapon. He sidestepped once more, avoiding a large blow to the ground. He spun wildly and sliced down through the Angel's arm, jumping to the side as it hit the floor. Azrael screamed once again in pain, dropping his sword to tend to the wound where his arm once sat. He turned abruptly to K, a look of pure fury in his eyes "I'm not finished yet," he spoke, bending down and returning the sword to his hand. "You will die..."

Kugo sighed quietly, tying a red headband just below his hair. He turned to the rest of the team and placed his hands on his hips, waiting for the rest of them to get ready. Kugo was always a simple fighter, and laughed a bit to himself as he watched a few of the others arranging their guns and ammunition for the battle. A bit longer and everyone was ready. Kugo turned to Katrina for further information. "So, where to?" he asked, continuing his nonchalant stare. "Where else would demons live...but under us," she inquired. Leaving Kugo to scratch his head "So, how do we manage that?" he asked, a confused look on his face. "We take to the sewers of course," she said with a laugh. However, the sewers were nothing to laugh about, and they soon found themselves walking slowly, crouched over in a dank, wet, tunnel. "You better be right Katrina," Kugo spat from behind, murky green water up to his knees, engulfing his feet. "Just trust me," she said, her hands placed on the wall, dragging and tapping slightly as they moved. It was dark and Kugo could barely see the bodies in front of him. He winced at the defiled sewer smell, bringing a hand to his face in an attempt to thwart the foul stench. He heard a stumble and a small splash and turned to check on Sakura, "You alright?" he asked, lacking the sight to gauge the situation for himself. "Yeah, I tripped on something is all," she spoke quietly. Katrina silenced them with a loud "Shhhh" and before Kugo could comment she spoke again "We're here." She tapped the wall repeatedly in different places and dragged her finger across the mossy barrier, making some sort of design. She finished with a large circle around her emblem, touching the tip of each point. As soon as the final lines met her design lit up a bright red, revealing a large pentagram. She pushed the door with all her might and everyone stood silent as the slab of earth moved aside revealing a large room of red. They split up, sliding along the wall from each side and inspecting the room before actually entering it. When they pressumed it safe they continued into the facility. It was quiet and the only noise to be heard was the tapping of feet along the newly tailored floor. Kugo's eyes scanned along the walls and noticed the room lacked another door with which to exit the room. "Hey Katrina, how are we supposed to keep going?" he asked, with a look of skepticism on his face. Before she could answer the passage they came in slammed loudly, shards of dirt and rubble flying from the door. "I smell a trap," said Sakura, drawing her pistols and crouching low to an attack stance. The silence was broken by a muffled laugh that echoed throughout the large room. Everyone's head cocked wildly, searching the room for the source of the laughter. It only got louder as time went on and it almost seemed to penetrate one's mind with loud clatter. Kugo stepped forward, "Show yourself, coward!" he shouted loudly, his voice now accompanying the echo. No voice returned, however, several demons dropped from the ceiling, their weapons drawn and ready for battle. "It was just as Lucifer said," spoke their leader, a large scythe upon his shoulder. "I thought Gabriel's friends would prove much smarter, however, I suppose I was wrong...and now, you die." OOC: We'll be fighting the guards and demons here before we make our way farther into the fortress. Have fun

Kugo gave a quick grunt as he surveyed the broken down shelter. "I hate this place," he spoke as the others just stared. "Nevermind..." he stood, and began to walk around, pacing in circles. "What are you doing?" Alchemy asked, watching on curiously. "My leg was injured in the explosion. I'm walking it off." he spat, frustrated as he limped a bit. "I-It's my fault, isn't it?" said Sakura, staring towards the ground. "No, I told you, it was the explosion. It's fine anyway, I'm fine," he said, more calm then before. "So what's the plan?" Sariel asked inqusitively. Everyone sighed slightly, pondering the situation. "I don't think we're in any condition to just burst through the front door," Sakura spoke up. They continued to contemplate until Kugo broke the silence, "Katrina knows where we need to go. We just need to know what to do when we get there. First, I suppose we gauge our injuries. I'm fine, and the only one who seems to be exuding major injury is Sakura. How bad is it?" he spoke in her direction. She stood up, stumbled a bit, but regained her balance. "I'll be alright, I just need some rest. And maybe to walk it off a bit," she winked at him. Kugo just smiled "Alright, I propose we attack tonight. It'll be dark and provide us with the cover we need, we'll also have the element of surprise and although demons are strong, they aren't the smartest people you'll ever meet. We can take advantage of that and go stealth until the occasion calls for it. When we find Gabriel we can go all out and take down anyone who gets in our way. When the group is reunited, theres nothing we can't do, right?!" he shouted in an attempt to raise the morale a bit. Everyone looked at each other and then smiled and nodded in his direction. "Then it's settled, we'll attack tonight..."
