1. True alchemy? Oh, you must mean... chemistry. That's what true alchemy is, bucko. The combining of elements to create something new. Sorry, kid, but "alchemy" is just science.
2. hehehe... I've been reading VGC for a long time now. I love webcomics. one of my personal favorites is Penny Arcade. (www.penny-arcade.com) I'm also a pretty avid reader of a comic called Misfile. (www.misfile.com) I'd highly reccomend them both.
3. See, I've never encountered any problems with people looking down upon me for being a new user. As a matter of fact, this is the first I have heard of anyone having a problem. As far as I can tell, it's not something you can generalize. It could be that some people don't like new users, but it's not fair to say that nobody does. Just my two cents.
4. The action figure created after me would be something like... Brian the Band Geek. Brian the Band Geek comes complete with marching uniform, sousaphone, and band camp tan lines. Social life? Who needs it! This toy puts the band first, second, and third! Football field play set sold seperately.
5. There's few anime girls I wouldn't date. First and foremost we have Sango, from Inuyasha. She's an attractive enough girl, and I admire the demon slayer thing, but she's far too trusting. Her brother rose from the dead, and she didn't question it? Big mistake. From there, we can move on to Winry, from Full Metal Alchemist. Again, she's attractive and skilled, but she cares far too much about her little toys, and tends to focus far too much on the mechanical aspects of something. I guess the third would have to Cheza (sorry if I spelled that wrong) from Wolf's Rain. She's way too out of it, and the whole "flower maiden" thing is a bit creepy, to be fully honest.
6. Pity is an emotion caused by the feeling that another is helpless. You feel sorry for them. It is rather demeaning, and yet we all instinctively seek it. Just one more of the peculiarities that make psychology so darn interesting.
7. Why is it that people who insist that they hate cliques and classifications are always talking about them? And why do all the individuals (i'm thinking of goths as an example, since they're usually the most outspoken) often the easiest people to pick out in a crowd?
8. My signature is, in a nutshell, the situation I am currently in. My avatar, I like, because it could be one of two things: a sunrise, or a sunset. That's what this period of my life is: it's either an end or a beginning. Plus I just like sunrise/sunset.
9. It's definitely possible. I admire Bill Clinton. He was a great president. A bad person, maybe, but a great president. I don't really like him, on a personal level, but I admire his political prowess and his ability to talk his way out of trouble.
10. I'm a bit of an enigma, when it comes to cliques. I listen to punk music, but I also listen to stuff like Elton John, so punk isn't right. I'm smart, but I don't carry the typical nerd persona. I'm a bit lazy and spaced out most of the time, but I don't do drugs, so stoner is out. I may sometimes seem really depressed, but I'm actually happy most of the time, so goth/emo kid is out. I couldn't be a loner, because I'm friends to some degree with pretty much everyone in the school. I guess I'm the Jack of All Trades... or, Jack of All Cliques, as the case may be.
11. My favorite dream is, ironically, my most painful dream. In that dream, I'm able to be with the woman I love. It's a simple dream, but it's so incredibly wonderful. And then comes the painful part: waking up. That dream, no matter how great it is, isn't real. And it can't be real. It's my fault, but there it is.
12. I wouldn't die for something I don't believe in, no. There's only one thing I'd risk everything for, and that's my closest friend. I would give my life for her because, against my better judgement sometimes, I love her. And I know that she would give her life for me, and that she, against her better judgement, loves me too. The people that you love are the only reason I'd advise risking it all for.
13. I seem to have been misunderstood when I said conforminst. I was reffering to the people who make rash generalizations about me, simply because I'm not attending the prom. I mean the people who assume that anyone who doesn't go to prom is some kind of loser, or else a depressed little punk. By conformist, I mean the people who pressure and pressure and pressure until you're ready to crack, just because you're not going to a dance. Does that clear it up at all?
14. Tomorrow is my school's prom, and I can't help but feel bad for not going. I know that I shouldn't let the conformists get to me, but every day I'm surrounded by prom posters and friends discussing their plans for prom. I would have gone, but the girl I want to go with has a boyfriend. She and I are really close friends, though, and she told me that if her boyfriend couldn't get leave (he's in the army), then she'd go with me. Does that make me, like, the "back-up" date? Anyways, I digress. The reason for this topic is to gather opinions on the prom. What's yours?
15. I was at a filming of the Today show on April 4, I believe, which happened to be the day Jimmy Fallon was there to plug Fever Pitch. I got to shake his hand. It was so cool. I actually had people come up to me to shake the hand that shook Jimmy Fallon's hand. :animesmil
