Sara was still feeling a bit guilty for hurting Darren and for being cold and mean to him when he had been here in the sickbay. She had wanted to kill him. That is until she saw him again. When she had gone to sickbay to get treated for a minor wound she had gotten during the attacks Daniel had them doing...
Sara walked into sickbay. She stopped when she saw Darren laying on one of the beds. This is just great. What is he doing here? She thought. She turned and noticed the doctor was treating another unconscious Versilan in a military uniform. She resisted the urge to leave. She looked back at Darren; I don?t want to deal with him. Obviously he was still afraid of her since the idiot backed away from her only to fall off the bed. Sara walked over to see who the doctor was treating; she was surprised to see that it was Sandra. What the hell is she doing here? We don?t take prisoners. ?Why don?t I save you the trouble of treating her by snapping her neck for you.? Sara said. Ignoring the doctor?s annoyed look. ?If you need assistance Sara,? the doctor said, annoyed, ?my assistant is in the next room over.? ?I still say we just kill her and toss her through a transport door. Why are we wasting our resources treating her?? ?Sara, please leave.? Instead Sara turned and walked over to where Darren was. Aw, so he?s still afraid of me?Good. She thought. ?I thought I made it clear that if I was going to kill you?you?d already be dead.? As usual Darren said nothing. She would have been surprised if she had gotten a response. ?Got nothing to say? How about that promotion? How?s it going for you?? She moved closer. ?I understand that your promotion comes with a lot of privileges or so I?m told. Seems to me that being forced into this mess ended up working to your advantage.? Sara paused noticing that the longer she was there the more nervous he became. ?Darren you really need to relax, I?m not in charge so you?re fine.? She smiled coldly. ?Because if it was up to me?? ?Sara!? The doctor said, ?I told you to leave!? Sara rolled her eyes, ?Fine, see you later Darren. We should chat like this more often.?
Sara was glad that they had been moved from the base. Perhaps I should talk to Daniel about it. She had thought that the feelings of guilt would have been gone by now. I should have just left the sickbay and said nothing. Now she felt even worse about it. Even if she didn't understand why it bothered her so much.

Sara looked out the window of Glen?s room overlooking part of the city. They had walked there from the fight. Glen walked over and closed the curtains. ?What are you doing?? He asked. ?You?re making yourself a target.? He grabbed her arm, pulling Sara away from the window. ?If someone sees you and turns you in?? ?You?re worrying to much Glen.? Sara replied flippantly. ?I can?t worry about that anymore. If it happens, then it happens. I?m not exactly defenseless or easy prey to catch. Not anymore.? ?What do you mean?? Glen asked. Her attitude surprised and puzzled him. He stared into her eyes briefly before looking away. There was a harsh coldness to her now. He felt like he was talking with a different person and he didn?t like it. ?Where have you been all this time?? ?Hiding and fighting the Versilans.? She answered. ?Well, mostly hiding.? Sara managed a weak smile. ?What exactly did you do to end up with that bounty on you? And how did you manage to do anything to these aliens? I?ve seen people trying to fight them. They?re so much stronger and just brush the attacks aside.? Sara walked over to the small couch in the room and sat down, placing her hands in her lap. ?It?s a long story.? She said. ?I didn?t really do anything to them. They?re after me because of Jason.? ?That?s another thing. Why is there a bounty for Jason and Celestia? I thought they were dead.? Glen asked before sitting down next to her. He reached for her hands, holding them in his own. They were far more callused then the last time he had seen her. ?No, they?re not. The Versilans kidnapped both of them. They mainly want to capture me to use as leverage against Jason and Celestia since they no longer have them. And because I?.? Sara paused. She wasn?t ready to talk about Jared with Glen especially since she wasn?t certain he would even go with her. ?That aside, I have been looking for you because I want you to consider being part of a group that?s fighting them.? ?How the hell could I even possibly fight them?? ?There are,? she paused. ?Ways you can fight them. Come with me and you?ll learn how you can fight them. There is someone I want you to meet who will explain everything. Please Glen, come and at least listen, for me.? Glen let go of her hands, stood up and walked to the window. He took a brief look out. One of the new facilities that house ground troops was in clear view. Fine. He thought. I?m tired of doing nothing. He turned back towards Sara. ?Fine. Lets go.? He started walking towards the door. ?Glen, we won?t be going that way.? She sent a signal for a transport door to be opened. She smiled at Glens surprise when it opened. ?After you.? -------------- OCC: Okay Aaryanna_Mom it's all yours. :catgirl:

?Simple, once the safe houses are destroyed you are to finish securing Australia, I also want you to post these pictures of Sara, Jason and Celestia on every network on Earth. I want every available member looking for them.? He pulled up wanted pictures of each individual. ?I?m sure that they are safely hiding in one of the remaining bases and that no human would turn them in, but I intend to up the stakes. For starters, if one of Earth?s governments hands one of them over to us I will give them the right to request any citizen of their country who was taken to one of the other worlds to be returned. Families that were separated in the confusion will be reunited with their loved ones. And I will follow through on that promise. I?ve already had the troops deliberately separating families at random so I can reward individuals who come forward with accurate information.? He smiled. ?Its time we started playing on their own fears to flush out those who would oppose us.?
o_O It?s a good thing you?re not controlling all the villains in the story Crystia or we would be so screwed. :p Good grief, your characters are such psychotic bastards. I?m beginning to wonder if anyone in the resistance will survive the Empire?s psycho agents. I think the resistance needs to assassinate a few people. We could start with Fleet Admiral Stevens.... Then work our way up to other, cough, cough, psycho characters that need to eventually die.

The OtaKuties- Critiques/Betting Thread [E]
Mariskah replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in General Discussion

I bet 100 OtakuBucks that DeathKnight [/B']will take first. :p
I agree with Aaryanna. You?re a traitor. We just might have to kick you out of the Desbreko Fan Club for this. :p I?ll bet 50 on Desbreko for 1st. (DUH) And 50 on DeathKnight for 2nd. *pokes Charles* You should be in the competition, not a judge! -

Mariskah will be handling the meeting between her character and mine
And done! Sorry I took so long, I couldn't make up my mind on how mad Sara was going to be at Jason. :)
Once someone else has posted that is since I don't want to double post. ;)
Start posting! *pokes Rachmaninoff* I've really been enjoying how you and Crystia have been handling your characters. Especially that description of Jared by Mike. :catgirl:

Name: Sara Sanders Age: 29 Gender: Female Race: Human. Loyalty: Resistance Description: Sara Weapons: Learning to use the Katana Special Skills: Ninjitsu champion, Assistant Ninjitsu instructor. Although she has handled guns she prefers not to use them, relying more on her Ninjitsu skills. Personality: She appears very mild mannered and sweet unless you get on her bad side. She?s very loyal, making her a good friend. Short Bio: Sara placed the flowers on her brother?s grave. It had been nearly a year since he died in the accident at work. She sighed, looking over at her parent?s headstone. She was alone now; all of her family was gone. Her bothers death seemed unreal to her at times. She would return home from work expecting a message on her answering machine or an email from him awaiting her. But every day it was the same she would never get another message from him again. Sara stood up and began walking towards her car. She was going to be late for work now. She?d spent too much time at the cemetery again. At least her boss wouldn?t fire her since she?d bought the building with the money her brother left her, thus making her his landlord. Still it annoyed him if she was to late. Besides she wanted to finish the classes on time since she was going out with the girls tonight. Sara hoped Kim would come. She was a lot of fun to hang out with. Especially since Kim enjoyed martial arts as much as she did. Sara often wondered who would win in a competition since it was obvious Kim had been well trained. She wasn?t sure she could win. Sara drove off, her thoughts going back to her family. As they often did.

The funniest song I?ve ever heard is 12 Pains Of Christmas by Bob Rivers from Bob Rivers? Twisted Christmas CD. It?s loosely based on The Twelve Days of Christmas song. I first heard the song as a child. I enjoy the emotions in the different characters voices. My favorite character in it is the Husband putting up the Christmas lights. He starts out slightly annoyed. As the song progresses he becomes more agitated until finally he?s fed up with it. It?s great. The annoyance and frustration expressed by most of the characters as the song progresses is funny. I chuckle every time I hear the song. One of my favorite lines in the song is ?One light goes out, they ALL go out!!!? since I remember when that was more of a problem with Christmas lights. I also love ?Get a flashlight!! I blew a fuse!!!? because this has been a issue at my Dads house until he had some repairs done. Chorus ( ): The first thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me Is finding a Christmas tree. The second thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Husband (2): Rigging up the lights, C: And finding a Christmas tree. The third thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Inebriated man (3): Hangovers, 2: Rigging up the lights, C: And finding a Christmas tree. The fourth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Frustrated man (4): Sending Christmas cards, 3: Hangovers, 2: Rigging up the lights, C: And finding a Christmas tree. The fifth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Five months of bills, 4: Sending Christmas cards, 3: Hangovers, 2: Rigging up the lights, C: And finding a Christmas tree. The sixth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Frustrated wife (6): Facing my in-laws, C: Five months of bills, 4: Oh, I hate those Christmas cards, 3: Hangovers, 2: Rigging up these lights, C: And finding a Christmas tree. The seventh thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Angry man (7): The Salvation Army, 6: Facing my in-laws, C: Five months of bills, 4: Sending Christmas cards, 3: Oh, Jeez! 2: I'm trying to rig up these lights! C: And finding a Christmas tree. The eighth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: Loud kid (8): I WANNA TRANSFORMER FOR CHRISTMAS! 7: Charities And what do you mean, "your in-laws"?!? C: And finding a Christmas tree. The tenth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me: other (10): "Batteries not included", 9: No parking spaces, 8: BUY ME SOMETHIN'!!!! 7: Get a job, ya bum!!! 6: (sobbing) Oh, facing my in-laws, C: Five months of bills, 4: Yo, ho! Sending Christmas cards, 3: Oh, Jeez, look at this! 2: One light goes out, they ALL go out!!! C: And finding a Christmas tree. I love to window shop. Especially Barbie dolls since I collect them. Though I?ll go to any shop with pretty much any type of doll. I absolutely adore Barbie?s website and I?m always checking it to see if there are any new dolls coming out. I even look at the stuff that?s coming out but not to the US so I can hunt for it on Ebay if I do decide to get it. I?ve enjoyed looking at dolls since I was a little girl. It?s kind of funny since I tend to drive my family and friends a little nuts as I can easily spend hours checking out gift shops and such when they are in and out in a few minutes. What can I say? I like looking at all the pretty things! ^_~

I?ve heard about using beer to get the bugs, but I worry that when Aaryanna brings her dog with her to visit that she might get into it. The poison I use is safe for pets so I don't have to worry if she accidentally gets some. It costs more but it's worth it as I would just cry if I hurt her dog. As for the beer... I think she would be pretty annoyed if I got her dog drunk or sick. o_O Though I suppose if I installed a short fence around the garden to keep her out it would work. That would have the nice side benefit of keeping that little fur ball from eating the ripe tomatoes or strawberries as she will snatch those right off of the plant if your not watching. ^_~ So on that note I should be grateful for the person who came up with the idea of fences. Oh and I agree with Panda, central air and heat is wonderful. I remember growing up with a swamp cooler and there?s just no comparison as central air is so much nicer on those hot days. Another thing I?m grateful for is cd?s as they have a much better sound quality than tapes or records and they last a whole lot longer. Since I listen to music every single day it?s definitely an invention I?m grateful for. I would feel completely and utterly lost without music!

In the end, suppose it's got to be the remote, on account of my utter laziness when it comes to watching TV.
You forgot to mention the most important feature of the remote control. The MUTE button. Without it I would not even bother to watch TV since the commercials are always louder and almost always obnoxious. And the way they insult one?s intelligence is a bit annoying as well. The psychological manipulation of buy this and girls will attack you because you smell so good or wear this and guys will think you are sexy! Or how about the one where freaking five year olds are strutting in front of the mirror because their underwear makes them so sexy! :animesigh So in my opinion the mute feature of any remote, though mostly the TV one is the one invention I thank God for each and every day. :p Oh and poison is great too because those stupid snails think my garden is just for them!

What I want to know is where you find the pictures you post. Even if they are a bit much they are funny. Oh and if I had bought a vowel, how much would it have cost? I?m rather fond of the letter u. :p That old banner is great. First the Administrator teleport effect was nice, the doom shot of the character getting blown up was awesome. I like the second banner better. ^_^ The Charles messages convey a deep meaning was hilarious and the cheesy pimp look with the flashy jewels was hilarious. So I guess his list of those who like your brand of humor includes me as well. ^_~
And, I'm really getting spoiled by these "God of the Internet" picture compliments, indifference. I'm undeserving. I'll just settle for being the God of pictures here.
It?s something that you deserve. ^_~ I?ve never seen anyone post pictures that are as funny as yours. Sure they post them, but they don?t seem to have the knack of choosing the perfect moment like you do. So therefore Charles is The God of Internet Pictures! All bow down to the great God Charles!
You don't want to be the new person in the first banner do you? The one who gets both barrels? Bow!

Aaryanna! Don?t you dare let her steal your disk. Don?t you know? Friends always claim they just want to borrow it and then you never see it again! Once she starts playing the game that is! :p

Hehe! If that happened I?d just sick my dog on her! Though she?d probably just lick her instead of biting her. ^_~ Anyway, I?m actually not to disk two just yet so she?s out of luck. I?ve also been playing Dragon Quest VIII a lot lately as well so it might be a while until I get to disk two. Though I suppose since we live so close together she can borrow it when I'm playing my other game as I can just drop in and borrow it back. ^_~
You two are cruel! :animecry: Besides as you put it Aaryanna it?s not like you couldn?t borrow it back anytime you want. ^_~ And I would never borrow it without asking! On another note even though I?ve yet to play it I think the characters are cute. And if you?re wondering why I haven?t just gone out and bought it. My birthday is this month and I?m hoping to get it as a gift. :p

I think it's a shame he died. He was so into his work which I found quite admirable. I wasn?t surprised by how he died but I was surprised that he died so young. Considering that he really loved his work it?s a good way to go if you have to right? The thing I remember him the most for is the wacky movie he did. It was just a spoof, but it was downright funny. Anyway, rest in peace.

At least I?m not the only one to score zero in the Empathy department. If no one will associate with us I say we stick together. And since Aaryanna?s score was a 4 and Mariskah?s a 12 they can hang out with us as well. After all understanding (and experiencing) the emotions and thoughts of others is overrated anyway. :p
We can form our own little group. ^_~ And since I got the highest score I get to be the leader! :p
As for you people who scored low on empathy... well, since I'm so gosh darned generous, I will offer you my friendship in the hopes that your interaction with me will someday heighten your appreciation for and understanding of the thoughts and feelings of the inhabitants of this great world.
I feel loved already. ^_~ Wait I was suppose to understand others feelings right? Damn!

Man listening to all of you talk about this game is driving me nuts! :p So I have the guide but my game hasn?t arrived yet. I suppose it would help if I actually order it, but I keep forgetting. :animesigh I?ve watched both Aaryanna and SunfallE play it and it does look like great fun and with all the detail indifference has given me via MSN Messenger about the battle system, well it just makes me want to play it even more. Now I just need to sign off, wander over to amazon and order it, or go to the store tomorrow and actually buy it. Or... Since Aaryanna is on disk two I can see if she?ll lend me disk one and I can get started! Oh the joys of memory cards. ^_^
