Oh it's very true alright. The Lizardmen race are said to excel in arts of fighting and hand to hand combat. Makes sense seeing as they look quite large in size.
This is quite major so continue on your own risk. I hear that at the beginning, in order to recover St. Ivalice, you join up with one of the main Lizard Men and he leads you into tournaments apparentley. I know it runs alomng the same tracks of that but I summarised to avoid too much detail being said.

I've been thinking about the days of the N64, and a mystical guru told me in a dream that I should gather people's opinions, so I did. Well we should all remember the Nintendo. That new polygonal featuresque console that was faster than NASA's computer, apparentley o_0. Well a few games have stuck in my head, but Im finding it hard to bother to play them again, I suppose I have to find out if I sold them or not. ^_~ Basically I want games that in your opinions on the N64 that will always be remembered. Here's a few of mine: - Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon - I absolutely adored this game. The way the depth mixtured with the simply exploration always attracted my attention when I was younger. And also those Japanese songsd always sounded insane to me, hence, mental hyper... ness. A nice step away from those Turn Based RPGs me thinks. Diddy Kong Racing - I mustn't be on my own on this one. This was a classic title with its own unique exploration while the races blended in perfectly. Lovely stuff. Banjo Kazooie - I never played the second one but I loved the first. It was huge for a game at the time, and there were so many secrets included making up for excellent replay time. I have more games but I'll wait for some responses first.

I love Mythology, I have around a few hundred books portraying stories of Mythology in my household. Their mystical tales make as thing if they did exist, yet my imagination just runs wild on the subject. I have many Myths that I favor. These are in no order but what I find interesting. First of all, Talos. The almighty crafted giant that acts as a sentinel to the tresures nearby with its only weakness being at its ankle where it would leak a chemical such as Mercury when even though perishing, it would burn the surrounding enemies to death. Lovely stuff there. ^_~ Then there's Kraken. The sea 'guardian' as a huge octopus like creature that held a huge grudge against human life fighting alongside other sea myths with the ability to pick up a man and throw him for miles inevitably killing him. While Kraken gained a huge advantage against ships but crushing them with all its strength. Now the one that I fear the most is the Minotaur. I dont know who would enjoy being chased by a half man half bull that feasted upon human flesh and would not halt as it knew the catacombs off by hard where humans would be condemned too. Seeing as I am a Dragon in the Chinese calendar thing I'd say I adore the Chinese dragon yet the Phoenix stands equal due to its mystery.

I heard the release date for it was sometime in October, not long now. However, it is due for delay. but I am going to the US in October and I may find a copy of whatever the US gets. I am very excited about this title, just how the modern settings and mystical ages merge together, yet I wont talk too much about it. The only aspect of it I am not looking forward to is the way old 'breeds' of creatures have been completely rejuvenated. For example, a moogle now reminds me of a goblin. There is an advantage to this as I do know,
that your troops will compile of different races each with unique advantages and disadvantages. Such as Moogles excelling in White Magic.
Also there is another new system which I shall add in a spoiler anyway, its not bad, just I dont want to ruin anything for anyone.
The new system is the referee use in which if you trespass beyond rules in tournaments for example, the single troop of yours or an entire platoon can be thrown in jail in which you will have to bail them out if you care. Apparentley it works for enemies too but I've heard cases of nobody encountering this in the Japanese title.
Only time can tell what we will have, I know I will be getting it though. I adored FFT.

Gaming Backwards-compatibility: Playing import PS1 games on PS2?
Zidargh replied to tattoi nobori's topic in Noosphere
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel There aren't any true swap discs for PS2 as of yet, unless something happened recently I didn't know about. Generally these swap discs also require a mod chip... they just make the process of getting the games to work a bit easier.
My only experience with swap discs was for the PSX in which you did not have to have a mod chip at all, I guess I got lucky. But you are right with the little actions, for this specific swap disc (I will find an image of the box soon), you were given a spring for PSX use, or a little piece of card for the PS1 as the lid was meant to stay open for some reason, while depressing the button that cause the disc to be read and spun, then once done, you'd have to swap for the import game and press start. It gets tiresome, yet it is worth it for UK players as we never recieved Final Fantasy Tactics etc. All I have witnessed of the PS2 mod chips is ones that can duplicate and manually create codes, but in my honest opinion, I feel 'modding' is too expensive and risky as I know people who have had faulty Mod Chips and have never been able to use the console again. Please update me on discs that are swap discs for the PS2, I must know. ^_~ -
The eternal Question " How the hell do women think?!"
Zidargh replied to a topic in General Discussion
The whole idea that people in general can be classified and generalised into a category that allows people to find similarities in their behaviour is beyond me, and in my opinion, its a load of crap. Yes I said it but look at society these days, even music has began to revolve around the fact that women are used as tools. (Gangster Rap especially) Like Semjaza has stated that it goes beyond the limits of human integrity, or something like that, I completely agree, and I fully support that anyone can be who they want to be. Obviously people feel they need to 'follow' things like a sheep but that is a pathetic act and I feel that the whole idea of 'cool things' is going too far. So the government go and blame it on other non-realistic existences for this, for example, the reason a murder was commited. Well that is beside the point anyway. I feel this whole term of ''How people think'' is something that will never be explained of people in the world keep to who they are. This is just my opinion however, so please do not slap me with a cold fish. It'd hurt for one thing. Taylor I'm not going to seek down to the level of 'acting as a moderator' or anything like that, and this goes to anyone who has been following his ways at going off topic to begin to flame. I feel that your respect for this thread is very good, but lets be real, it has gone too far. I think all Semjaza was trying to do was do his job, I think many of us are aware that you've just been racking up posts. 'Peach head'? What does that have to do with the thread? Just a minor and random insult. Well anyway, I feel the whole generalisation thing is what debates are focusing more and more on everyday. I'll respect anyone who thinks otherwise. -
OOC: Well guys, to envelope a further diversion in the story, I may occasionally write a sub-story which will involve the Kelost Empire's perspective in the world, this will give us vision on what is occuring on the other side of the world. Do not worry, I will not leave my main character, just I feel it needs to be done. ----------- Kelost Empire Palace ¦¦ 09:00 hours An egg, or so it seemed, an incredibly large egg. Encasing all that was placed in it, but was never to be removed, like a small hand-crafted ship placed into what appears to be an impossible fit of a bottle. Of course, leaving this 'egg' would have to be because of the surroundings being destroyed by somewhat unnatural cause but more of a deliberate act. And so this theory was enforced by walls manned by gunners and archers cosntantly on the look out for any form of a threat. An invincible Kingdom it seemed, yet the elegant surroundings hid a darker cloud that contrasted with with the brightly lit halls. There he sat, a man of a handsome face and tall stature, covered in garments and robes that overwhelmed his body. Always looking out in thought, or occasionally in pleasure as he satisfied himself by the use of reluctant tools, Emperor Kelost's tools appeared to be beautiful women that he seduced and made a physical grip upon. Emperor Kelost was of an incredibly attractive man but he lacked the warmth in his heart, hence he found it upon himself to use feat to manipulate those under him. Emperor Kelost opened his eyes to find himself sitting in an incredibly crafted seating arrangement that also sat on a red carpet with gold edges that spanned outwards towards the end of the halls. This huge carpet was sandwiched between High Knights of the Dark order. The sun had just finally peered through the dark cloud of mist, shedding light onto the marble flooring that followed upwards elegantly towards the ceiling. After all the concealed silence, a man of age who appeared to be Kelost's head servant and commander in rank walked proudfully to somewhat inform Kelost on the situation. ''M'Lord. The plan is going with great caution. It is said that the rebels will be met within a span of half an hour to an hour.'' Kelost looked up and nodded in satisfaction. ''Excellent. They'll get their surprise, our spies have definitely done their work. Yet our men will most likely find them dead as the rebels appear to be quite perceptive. Bankai is not a village to be tampered with. I presume you sent trained troops this time?'' ''Yes, the best of the best M'Lord. I am just concer--'' The chancellor seemed to be interrupted by a huge conclusion full of rage. ''What!? Concerned!? I ask you with confidence!? You betray me with your foolish thoughts! Unless you are wanting to leave without your head on you shoulders Chancellor.'' Kelost screamed while jumping up, this was until he sat down and cleared his throat, veins throbbing at his head. ''N-no M'Lord. I apologise for my insolent behaviour. I bid you adieu.'' The chancellor stuttered quietly as he walked out of the halls in a hurry. Kelost fumed at the thought as he followed him with eyeshot, glaring at the walls in shock. ------- Civil Grounds ¦¦ 09:11 hours Leo noticed the sun rising which caused the mist to fade away within a matter of seconds. As the sun constantly rised, more light was shed providing colour in the world once again. It was a comforting omen for Leo, however it had its consequences as a chain reaction of the entire field of rebels yawned at the sight of the sun. it was an amusing sight as he chuckled. After about two minutes, it was noticed that the offensive began to move to a large hill where a foundation of rocks sat isolated. This was where they stopped for a water break. Even though it would only last for a short while, all the breaks were worth it. It stood out and made any man or woman appreciate that they were still alive. Following one after the other, Leo's platoon headed over to sit down at the base of the hill. Each soldier was told to make use of this time and prepare for whatever was ahead, perhaps more of a water break. Finding himself in a larger growth of grass, Leo placed himself down to find that Rydia was behind him gulping down the water our of her carton. It seemed like she was dehydrated in the desert. They had only walked for at least three hours. ''Shouldnt you keep some of that?'' Leo giggled at the sight of Rydia aggresively nourished. ''Eh? Ah I needed this.'' Rydia turned with a blush in her cheeks as she grinned. ''Well okay, just dont come crying to me if you need more, that means I'll have to share. Anyway, you noticed something moving in the horizon? Only a small mound constantly nearing but they seem like they're about 10 miles away.'' Leo asked with a concerned tone in his voice. Rydia immediately stood up and used her hand to shade her eyes from the incredibly bright sun. She then sat down. ''Nope, I cant see anything, you're becoming more paranoid Lieutenant.'' The duo couldn't help but laugh at the thought of the title, still Leo found himself looking at Arik's attempts of flirting, while Clavat kept attempting to slice the same blade of grass. Everyone was busy, restlessness must have been inherited.

After about half an hour, it had seemed that the HQ had been completely emptied out of its troops, the Defensive Platoons had already left to reach their destinations, some were still near to the HQ, others were smothered in mist providing less visible conditions for people to look over them. There was no sun, or there was, yet the mist had overcome the entire surroundings causing a mixture of an eerie and yet a calm atmosphere. All was to be expected. Leo turned back to look at his platoon, however this resulted in him being awe struck at the lines of troops that eagerly awaited Leo's command. Nerves had overcome him at this point causing him to stutter a little in comparision to the other Commanding Officer's giving their speeches with confidence. Finding that his three friends were also standing statically at ease staring at Leo, provided a form of confidence. Coughing and clearing his throat, Leo began to speak. ''Men and women... I... uhhh... well today's the big day! Haha.'' After laughing at his own pathetic excuse for a joke, their was silence travelling down the ranks as they failed to see the hilarity in Leo's comment. Continuing, Leo became more serious. ''Today we begin our journey to Bankai as you know, I sure as hell hope you packed all the stuff you needed because its too late now. You are all probably wondering if there is going to be any resistance, well I'll be honest, I really do not know. I suppose we could classify it as a 'Light Risk' yet I'm sure the Empire want to keep their hands on this little village. You'll see what I mean when we get there I guess. So staying in the ranks that you are, follow the platoon before us, then I'll try and get us to merge together.'' The entire platoon turned ninety degrees to face the backs of the platoon in front and after 10 metres had reached between them, they all started walking in a more casual way, Leo hated the military standards so he tried to keep to normal as he could. None of them looked back, only forwards to see the path that was ahead, it was nearly invisible the path and Leo began to wander out of line, however he jumped back in front and carried on. The mist was more like a form of smog, the dirt paths were giving off brown shades of dust while the sun's feeble attempt to penetrate the surface illuminated their surroundings. There were no leaves or trees to be heard as the dew was settling, all that could be heard was the exhausted mutters between the ranks and the heavy boots clashing with the path. The mist was due to dissappear within a few hours so Leo thought just to persevere until he was questioned by a female chemist who was juggling with a couple of potion bottles. ''Erm, Leo, sir.'' Asked the chemist with high respect. ''Yeah, what's up?'' Leo replied with a smile. ''How long is it going to be until we reach Bankai?'' The chemist stopped juggling with a concerned and tired look on her face. ''I'd say a day, we'll probably reach there by nightfall. Just dont forget about the threat okay?'' Leo somewhat shouted in anxiety. With this the chemist nodded and waited until her line caught up with her. Leo turned back around as he waited for one of his friends to approach, after all he was very restless. ---- OOC: Sorry its not a great starter to the journey. ¬_¬

Leo finished up his meal in no time whatsoever as he found it his role to give his closer friends a prep talk before they go into battle. it was a first time for Rydia and Leo had already glanced at her sullen tone these hours as it seemed like something was on her mind. Constantly glaring back at the temporarily muted girls, Leo noticed that for the first time, the girl who sat herself next to him began to stare daggers at him. Leo was in no way too sure of himself yet he felt a little insulted by the attitude this girl had taken. ''Rydia, Clavat and Arik, meet me by the stockpile up on the surface, I need to talk to all three of you.'' Leo stated this in his first severe tone as he had no suffered the blow from shock of what was about to come, simultaneously all three nodded. Leo picked up his ceramic plate and then pushed his bench back as he stood up and headed over to the cleansing area. Little Ted was off duty now as for some reason he tended to sleep early on the contrary to his size. As Leo walked through the tunnels he headed up to his dormitory. The candles had already blown out and the Chief Commander was already resting, it was obvious as the main Brifing Room was locked, and possibly it would not be unlocked for a while. After creakily opening the oak door, Leo stood in awe as he found that all his clothes and gear had already been packed for him. There they were left, lying on the bed with the oak posts and headboard besides a steel locker that stood adjacent to a mirror surrounded desk. Running over to the bag, Leo opened it aggressively, it seemed that the servants had already taken the liberty of packing for him, after all, Leo did have a reputation for being lothargic. There was nothing else in Leo's room, he only spent a few hours sleeping anyway and this made up the only reason for why he would be in his room, he was a little restless. No portraits of Ramza Beoulve, no letters hung on a board with a pair of faded lips staring him in the eye, so with this, Leo slammed his door shut and ran outside the isolated door. Being set on a hill, the headquarters alqays witnessed a crimson sky stretching out through the world, however, carriages with Chocobos sleeping blocked out most of the sun's rays. Sitting on the stockpile box, Leo overheard soldiers inspecting the supplies, however, after a slam of doors opening, Leo overheard three pairs of footsteps simultaneously walking out. It appeared that Clavat, Arik and Rydia actually took notice of what Leo had to say. Feeling more sociable, Leo patted on the incredibly large wooden box to signal the trio to sit down. After smiling, they all did and the speech began. ''So what is it you have to say Leo?'' Clavat asked while staring out to the forest. ''Well all I really had to say is that I appreciate the fact that I met you all. I may only of spoken to two of you this morning, but I do feel a bond being created, let's work hard to lengthen it eh?'' Leo looked at Arik and Rydia who grinned towards him, hence allowing Leo to continue. ''Dusk is a very good chance for us to prove ourselves you know? Personally I dont want to go, but its been boring here, Bankai sounds like it is in peril so lets do our best and look out for each other. I know I told you it was hard to say if there would be resistance Clavat, but if there is let us all look out for each other. Arik you better have my back.'' Leo then giggled while Arik looked sternly back towards him. ''That is all, dismissed.'' And that was it, the four of them all walked off laughing at Leo's attempt to be a sneior and they then all left the outside to turn towards slumber. Leo left the trio to their biddings while he then opened and closed his door behind him. Throwing the bag of clothes off of his bed, Leo pulled back the covers and stared at his dual katanas that were placed below him. These were his only form of defense, with a very small dosage of Ice, Leo put out the candles and shut his eyes to drift off to sleep... All of a sudden, a massive bang on the door was placed on Leo's door causing him to wake up in shock. After gathering himself, Leo heard that these several bangings were being placed all along the hallway. ''It was morning already?'' Leo asked himself with a sleepy voice. Looking up on the ceiling to see an open window, it appeared that a morning vapour of dew had signalled that it was Dusk. Having jumped out of bed, Leo picked up his weapons and placed the two katanas in their own seperate sheaths, this was after flinging his bag of gear over his shoulder. Then charging out of his door, Leo met a huge line that was seperated into two. It seemed that the carriages were transporting everyone to their positions. However, in the offensive line, it was made clear that the carriages would only act as transports for a short while, the rest would have to be walked as the carriages would need to be escorted. This huge line trailed upstairs and downstairs as everyone proceeded to the outaside of the headquarters. Being pushed by a senior officer, Leo was informed that he had to load his gear first and then wait for his squadron to arrive in front of him. Leo had never actually done this before but after hesitatingly agreeing Leo, stood watching at the ranks that formed before him and other officers beside him.

Before the trio set off past the stockpile and into the protruding door, Leo noticed Rydia staring at the ground very quietly in which this was obviously not like her at all. For however long they had known eachother, maybe four hours, Rydia was making her emotions more and more obvious after every second that had past. Arik looked up at Leo and gave a wryly smile that indicated that the awkward silence had to be broken. ''Oh. Are you okay Rydia?'' Leo asked gently as a tone of reassurance, but there was no reply. Rydia continued to stare at a single blade of grass due to the clashing of confusion and curiosity. However she immediately forgot these negative feelings as an object with a point poked her on a pressure point underneath the shoulder blade. However it was only a finger, but Rydia from shock thought otherwise. ''Ow! What was that for!?'' Rydia jumped up in the air in shock which had changed to anger as she landed when she immediately stared at the tall duo. ''Erm you've been standing there for the past two minutes. The meetings about to begin you know?'' Arik firmly stated sarcastically which appeared to be a necessity for Rydia to understand. ''Oh... OH! I'm sorry!'' Rydia screamed and smiled to try and forget what had just occurred. ''Let us get going!'' As the trio headed over to the rustic wooden door that seemed isolated from any wildlife whatsoever, Leo heard something stampeding through the woods. As Arik held the door open for Rydia to pass through, Leo had halted to find what was causing the hectic riot within the forest. However, Arik immediately found it was his place to head over to the Briefing Room and had already slammed the door behind him. After the distant rustling of shrubs had ended, Leo caught sight of a yellow bird charging towards him. This bird was carrying something, it looked like baggage of some sort. As the bird neared and the leaves showered the grass, Leo noticed that the yellow animal was a Chocobo and a well known friend of his was riding with a face of anxiety. It was Clavat Bunel, Sergeant in the Ramza Batallion. However, their friendship ignored the need for ranks. As Clavat neared Leo, the Chocobo halted, throwing Clavat off and onto Leo's feet. Immediately Leo picked Clavat off and allowed him to brush himself down. ''Sergeant Clavat Bunel, you're late!'' Leo stared down at Clavat in a stern of authority. This continued on for a few more seconds until the two broke into laughter, Leo in a bold laughter while from the exercise, Clavat have off a simultaneous huskey laugh. ''Oh hello Leo. I don't think it's appropriate for us to talk now, let's head to the meeting.'' Clavat signalled towards the door in which the two opened at a fast rate and ran through the dark tunnels of the headquarters. As the duo neared the central room, they noticed that there was a large discussion already taking place, however it was only casual. The Briefing Room was of a similar appearance tp the cafeteria, however it was much larger. Lit, hanging candles gave off light that gave a sense of warmth and security, while large banners that were embroidered in red and gold notified anyone who entered that this room was of great importance. Rows upon rows of chairs had already been laid out and taken as the men of the Ramza Batallion sat and conversed. At the very back of the Briefing Room was a raised platform with a fixated pedestal for where the highest of ranks would bried the men. However there were more chairs in fewer numbers that seemed throne like for the higher of ranks to sit. Two armed dragoons adjascent to either end of the large, open doorway stared outwards awaiting for Leo and Clavat to enter. There were only two seats left and one empty space behind the pedestal had not yet been filled. It seemed that everyone was awaiting the duo. Leo ran onto the raised platform and sat himself between to men of a much older age. This was while Clavat seated himself in front of the raised platform. Each seat was reserved for every rank, in which a plaque in all of the chairs was fitted to indicate who would sit. This room was more like a hall than anything else as seats of over 800 sky rocketed outwards from the platform, everyone taken. As the duo seated themselves, the Dragoon guards closed the double doors and everything went quiet. Ever man and woman stared towards the pedestal, awaiting for the highest ranking officer to enter. Leo felt out of place as he was the youngest Lieutenant within the battalion. To his right was Bagalt Naval, a very respective officer who had been with the Ramza Battalion ever since he founding of it. And to his left was Sagen Twan, the most battle ready female officer that had ever existed in the batallion. Each were wearing respective robes which led to more of an outcast feel for Leo as he only wore his foundation of his battle gear. After the examination, a hidden rustic door to the right of the platform quickly opened, shedding light from within the window infested room. The outline of light gaveway to a man who appeared to be in his late forties, with a mop of long blue hair that was tied into a pony tail with large platts, this was tied with a red ribbon. Each platt had been carefully made. Also on this man's figure was a large crimson robe that dragged along the floor as he walked engrossed into a small pile of papers that he was carrying. This man was the highest ranking officer, and the heir to Ramza's position, Talramto Konjani. The entire room was quiet as if a Mute spell had been cast upon the entire foundations. Leo being careless as he is stared out to pinpoint anyone he knew, he found Clavat still breathing heavily from the journey, Arik frowning in authority as he awaited the briefing while Rydia had already caught sight of his stare and smiled, Leo replied with a large smile until both of them turned as Talramto coughed to prepare for the speech. Looking out to the hallway focusing on every person in the hall moving along the rows over and over again, Talramto opened his mouth to begin to speak. ''I thankyou all for attending today's meeting, it maybe one in a long time for those assigned so listen carefully and appreciate what I have to say. Everyone atteneded punctually apart from a couple of exceptions.'' Talramto spoke loudly in a bold voice as Leo and Clavat stared at eachother and gulped. ''Today is the day that we begin our new campaign, Operation Fate. As I hope we are all aware of, we are at war with the Kelost Empire. We have suffered enough from the exile and treachory of it's proceedings, therefore we take on the role of the offensive. Today you will all be assigned to your roles, this base will only act as a mere form of communications and a sanctuary for casualties, if there be any, of course we hope there arent, yet they are bound to occur. Operation Fate will consist of its first stages which today you will only know about as we have yet to plan the future as it all depends on the progress. You are to split up into two sections by our counselling's decisions. This two segments are simply what we could technically name the Offensive and Defensive. The Defensive consist of positioning yourselves right in the area of the headquarters in case of the incident of infiltration and some will be placed on the borders to decrease the threat of the Empire. The Offensive however is not split up into roles. Whomever is assigned on the Offensive will take on the role of journeying to the Civil Grounds as it appears that many a village has been suffering looting and pillaging if they refuse to join with the Empire, it is your role to protect these roles temporarily and then help the villagers and townspeople to seek refuge in this area. It seems like a bold idea but it is our only hope to keep the purpose of our role in our hearts. Remember, these our only temporary roles, however it is the time to act. This war may last longer than the previous one, let us not shorten it by our defeat. The time of the beginning of this campaign will take place at Dusk tomorrow, not immediately today as some rumors have occurred. I apologise for the short notice however it must be done. Gather whatever is needed for this beginning as our resource depot will not be sent for sometime. We already have renaissance and the first village to be visited is the village named Bankai, very near Wutai. The following officers will contain the lists with their roles and whom they will be taking with them. This should work efficient. These officers that will hold the lists are the ones seated on this platform behind me. I wish you all good luck and I will see you very soon. Good day.'' Talramto turned silent, suffled his papers and bashed them against the pedestal to create a tidiness in the pile and then hastily set off into the room he appeared out of. A woman with the role of a Calculator gave out a sheet of paper to each officer including Leo in which discussions were abrupt and immediately occurred as some also immediately headed towards a trio of Calculators who acted as Data Handlers for assigning. Leo looked into his paper hardly picking out the names only of whom he named, he'd find out who else he'd take lead of tomorrow at morning break. The paper was hand written in a very neat font as the names, rank, class and squadron for whom the officer was to take lead of. There were three names that once read, Leo gained a surge of adrenalin and relief as he found out whom he would be journeying with. Leo Tantosen ¦ Lieutenant ¦ Knight ¦ Lead of all squadrons Clavat Bunel... Rydia Salayes... Arik Farrel It was made obvious that Leo coul not be bothered to trail off and read the other details so immediately he stood up and glanced at the huge queues of whom the Calculators doubted they could assign. ----------------- OOC: Important post for whom is the Ramza Batallion at present. ^_~

Leo always had a sense of warmth in his heart whenever a successful conversation had occurred, in which this was often followed by a tingling sensation that often reminded him of another purpose for why he was here, it was still obvious that Leo longed for closure on Ramza's teachings. Looking up from the fireplace to see a bold portrait of Ramza Beoulve, Leo picked up his bowl and spoon simultaneously to carry them over to the dirty ceramics and cutlery. Immediately Leo looked down towards Arik and Rydia who seemed to be conversing quietly in which they followed his gaze at both of them. ''Well Rydia, Arik. I guess I'm going to go outside for a bit, I have to make use of free time these days, not like it comes round every often.'' Leo giggled after stating a subtle joke. Obviously the others did not understand it. ''If you need me I'll be in the woods, but I wont venture too far, I dont want to be caught in the wrath of the Moogles. Oh and dont forget, in half an hour there's a military briefing, I presume I'll see you all there.'' Leo then walked off laughing as Arik and Rydia smiled wryly from the disbelief of Leo's humor. After placing the ceramics and cutlery into a bowl full of dirty slops, he then jogged out of the warm cafeteria into the nearest door which adjoined to the surrounding field. The sun was glistening incredibly brightly this morning, or so Leo thought. And it was with this he took a deep breath to fulfill his desire for some fresh air with the scent of morning dew. The sun kissed fields swayed with the gentle breeze which allowed further vision of distant locations because of the sillhouetted contrast. Looking towards the grasslands through the narrow gaps between the trees, Leo began to sign. ''Hmm, I guess we'll be out there today.'' With this Leo turned into a little alcove that was shaded from the overgrown canopy. Pine cones could always be smelt in weather such as this and nearby squirrels and other wildlife were not afraid to make contact with the larger creatures. This was unusual considering deer were to head for the nearest water supply which normally made the ground tremble and scare off the smaller wildlife. After picking up some neatly cut logs, Leo headed over to an open, wooden box which acted as the foundation for the firewood stock pile. As uncomfortable as the wood became, Leo immediately threw the wood in the box and shut it harshly. Tapping on the box, Leo turned to find Rydia had made a seat within a longer patch of grass while Arik was heading towards him. Within speaking distance, the two began to converse. ''Looking forward to it Lieutenant?'' Arik placed his hand on his head to scratch off an annoying itch. ''Looking forward to what?'' Leo questioned in great curiosity, had it been something he missed? ''Well obviously we're going to be leaving here sometime today. I believe the campaign is bound to begin. '' Arik having fended off the itch, leant against the large box containg the wood stockpile. ''Oh, yeah. I was thinking the same thing. I suppose we dont have a choice, but its an adventure I suppose. That Rydia looks like she could become a great asset dont you think Captain?'' Leo turned towards Rydia was humming a gentle harmony while trying to catch a colourful butterfly. ''We'll just have to find out I suppose.'' Arik grumbled as the itch had returned. Looking up, Leo squinted at the sight of the sun.

I've been thinking lately about my goals and dreams in life that I will pursue no matter what. Hoever, I'm naturally beginning to question them as I grow older, however, it doesn't hinder my persistence. For me, my main goal in life is to go to University after I go to College, this will open alot of doors for me in life. However, after that I do not plan on settling down immediately, I am going to travel to the Far East and escape from my home to a completly new culture. I think this will teach me alot of lessons in life. Then after I decide to settle down I feel I want to get involved in either the Writing, Acting or Design Industry. By Design I mean something alone the lines of Graphics or Computer Game Design. Still, these all sound a bit farfetched. It's just something that has stuck in my mind. So the big question; Do you have any Aims or Goals you have created in life? If so, what are they?

Well here it finally is, the beginning to the (Hopefully anticipated) Lion War Revolution RPG. If any more members are interested and are willing to participate, the Recruitment thread is still open so I await any more participants. Just make sure that when I have noticed your application, you create a logical entrance. I'd also like to thank all members who have signed-up to be a apart of this RPG, I found them all logical and were appropriate to the storyline. Let us begin ^_~. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ''...and here we are. The rebels. Or so we're named. Exiled for serving our Kingdoms. No respect. Nobody listens. We only have one goal. To live the triumph of what we overcome, To reunite the belief as 'The Ramza Batallion'.'' It was a beautiful day at present. The entire world had not suffered from any dismal weather that may hinder attitudes of the populous, it was a new start to the Spring. Over the past years, the world had suffered enough rains that could cleanse the entire blood drenched fields as a consequence of The Lion War. It was definitely a good omen as a sign of a successful harvest for the Civil Grounds. Trade was almost guaranteed to thrive at date, there could be no scholar to question the beliefs of th world today. So it was with this, the world awakened to face another day under the rule of the Kelost Empire. However, there were exceptions... Within the surroundings of forests and other habitats to known animals, there sat the mediocre sized building that housed the allegiance of the Ramza Battalion. Underneath this appearance of an 'isolated house' would exist the underground network of the Ramza Batallion Headquarters, the center of operations for the rebel group. However, the bustle of importance had not yet awakened, it was only breakfast time, the most important meal of the day. Of course the morale of the rebels had to be kept. The cafeteria was full to the brim of every single rank that was on standby within the Ramza Battalion. The cosy alcove that held the cafeteria was bestowed with a rustic decor to it. Large portraits that hung containing images of heroes who served their role in the Lion War were placed all over the walls of the cafeteria, just to act as a reminder for why the rebels were here. Of course, the most valuable of all paintings was hung above the large fireplace. Underneath the Brass frame would be a small wooden plaque that took the role as a caption of the painting... Ramza Beoulve. Aged thirty eight. ''You will always be remembered in our hearts and souls.'' It wasn't much but it was a powerful sign of respect for the founder of the battalion. Bold voices shook the halls of the cafeteria while they were put into a contrast as screeching laughter from the females pierced all th sound barriers within earshot. For having just awoken, the battalion was definitely lively. The kitchen housed the routine Chemists of the battalion, using their encountered Herbs, the Chemists could certainly create a wholesome dish. So within the dimly-lit cafeteria, it was certainly a succesful beginning to the day. Leo stood in line patientley with his newly acquired, wooden tray. If there was anything that Leo could not live without, it would be seconds of every meal. Smiling at the portrait of the Ramza, Leo found he was halting the queue for breakfast. After many attained groans from men and women, Leo was pushed in front of a large man who seemed to have a combined structure of fat and muscle, definitely a person you would not like to meet at night in the Dockyards. From his strong exterior housed a kind hearted and soft minded soul, his name was not 'Mighty Bruce', nor 'Mad Max', but he was in fact known as 'Little Ted'. Ted was the Head Chef of the Ramza Battalion, noone knew why he didn't join arms with his comrades on the battlefield, but if you ever questioned this wonder you'd always get the same cliche, ''Meals are the only source of morale in these days!'' This was normally followed by a husky hysterical laugh of which Ted generally fell over in the process. ''Morning Leo! What'd it be!?'' Called Ted even though there was only a meter long bar that seperated him and Leo. He was well reknown for his rational behaviour. ''Bah!'' Leo jumped aback at the sound of Ted's voice. ''Well what's this morning's special?'' ''Well I was in the mood for burning things. So you've got what I call Moogle's Delight!'' Ted grinned as he poured some grotesque looking slops into a ceramic bowl for Leo. Looking at the produce in front of him, Leo stared dazed at what he was given. ''Um, thanks... I think.'' Leo said softly, still mesmerised as he walked out of the queue. ''You've gotta have ya vitamins kiddo!'' Ted screamed in laughter as he fell backward onto the floor, disturbing all the ceramics as they fell to the bar. Leo searched for about five minutes to see if he could scrape away a surface to sit on for breakfast, however, it felt as if it was more of a struggle to be seated than polish a weapon. After sitting next to what seemed like a couple of Ninjas conversing across the table, Leo grabbed a spoon and began to play with his food. This was while he amused himself listening to recent battle tales and acquirements of what the ninjas stole from the Kosalt Empire. These old exaggerated stories were always followed by adoration from squires that longed to train for a certain class. Leo began to feel superior as he expanded his chest to try and cause his Lieutenant medal to catch attention, but this was in vein. After finally building up the bravery to try the slops, Leo threw the spoon to the ground, lifted the bowl, and poured the 'Moogles' Delight' down his throat. ''Not bad.'' He thought himself as he began to enjoy the fruity substance. After finishing off the breakfast, Leo sat at the bench fully nourished as he looked around to find anyone he knew specifically. Leo's social life always came first. ------------- OOC: So it begins. ^_~

When I first picked this copy up, I ahd to await to have an import disc to boot up the US copy, so therefore I completely forgot about it and it then began to collect dust up on my shelf. Well when I remembered it's existence and began to play it I was to say the least... surprised. I wasn't expecting a Real Time RPG which shocked me a tad. I enjoyed the battle system very much though. The only main dissapointment was the lack of customisation. I mean you choose a weapon and it's then fixed, I hate static parts in games, the ratings hit the floor then, however the ratings in my mind did begin to climb again. In conclusion I'd say it's not my favourite Square game, however it is a classic and is worth purchasing to add to your library.

After more people show their interest I will judge upon sign-ups who shall enter, so far it seems there is nothing wrong with the sgn-ups so far, but it doesn't hurt to check. So without further ado, here is he list so far:- Zidargh: Leo Tantosen James: Clavant Bunel (Recieved samples) Terra: Rydia Salayes (Recieved samples) Mei: Amai Zokushi (Recieved Samples) Ajeh: Gael Splitstaff (Recieved Samples) Raiha: Vastus Megelani (Recieved Samples Desbreko: Arik Farrel (Recieved Samples) The Harlequin: Kattarin Quisanth (Recieved Samples) So now lets wait for this list to become extended. ^_~ I appreciate all of your interest.

The eternal Question " How the hell do women think?!"
Zidargh replied to a topic in General Discussion
Well I believe the question is, how do us men think? I think both sexes share a somewhat influence on eachother as they can share many things in common, it's all a matter of moods in my opinion. As stated, everyone is unique, therefore we cant generalise the way women think, I guess it's just an unwritten fact that us men will never know. ^_~ But I'm sure women feel the same about men. -
After much further ado, I created the World Map. Yes I stole the backing of the map, but this is only a primary guide as to what the world is as we know it. The locations placed on there you will notice are the primary locations I first posted, do not fear of customisation. This is only a document of what was used in The Lion War.

Sem and I made a good point, we cannot judge this game in full detail yet anyway as that is just pre-rendered video animation. I can say that I am anticipating the sequel, yet, Mickey portrayed as a ronin-like figure? Well that's interesting. Square has definitely focused on it's more depressing themes though, I adore Disney, yet it went to the extreme a tad in my opinion.

I know I stated that I'd wait for members to sign up before I put up my sign up, however I felt there was no point. May as well get it over with. ^_~ Name: Leo Tantosen Age: 23 Origin: The Wutai Village Rank: Lieutenant Job Class: Knight (Knights are renowned for their statuses generating around high HP levels and higher physical strengths in comparison to other classes. Once completed their studying of magic, Knights can learn low-level White Magic and mid-Level Black magic, hence knights are thought of as a good 'all around' class.) Weapon/s: Dual Short Swords Biography:Leo was born within the walls of the secluded village of Wutai. Having begun learning the way of the squire while his father was serving his role in the Lion War under Ramza, Leo felt he automatically was given the role of protecting his mother. After time and fighting went on, Leo neared the age of 14 when he was adept in the skills of the knight and was about to begin to learn the teachings of Bushido. However, the end of the Lion War was nigh. After Leo's father returned with many medals and scars, it was heard that a sanctuary for Ramza was being created, and Leo's father was requested with serving Ramza again as corruption of the monarchy was about to begin. Within a few days, Leo packed his belongings and went onto the Ramza Batallion Headquarters, and at the age of 15, Leo carried on his training as a Knight. As the Dragoon's Consequences' War began, Leo's father was sent to the front line in a guerilla attack at a line of Lord Kelost's army. However, he did not return. Within a couple of weeks, the only lasting messenger returned with the report that the attack was a failure and that none of the men and women were spared except for the messenger who made a quick escape. Undertaking Ramza as his father, Leo began to form an unbreakable bond with the leader, and continued his training in the event that Leo was called to duty. As time went on, ranks began to form, and the Ramza Batallion's title was spreading throughout the lands, it was unfortunate that at the age of 23, Leo had to let his hero leave him aswell. Still keeping a positive attitude, Leo began to take on his role as Lieutenant more importantly, and took more notice of the new recruits entering the Batallion. It was only to await the real war to begin. Appearance:

''...and here we are. The rebels. Or so we're named. Exiled for serving our Kingdoms. No respect. Nobody listens. We only have one goal. To live the triumph of what we overcome, To reunite the belief as 'The Ramza Batallion'.'' Batallion Log Book: Year 128 It finally occurred. Our leader and founder, Ramza Beoulve, passed away. He constantly told us all to live proud and never forget what he taught us, yet, ever since the attempted assassination of him, the poison that was induced slowly caused our leader to die away. We never fully understood what he wanted us to live for, yet some of us supported him in the Lion War and they're fortunately still with us today, maybe we can be rewarded with closure of why we were exiled. There are still so few of us, only little of our ranks seek to avenge what the new monarchy had taken from us. However, there is hope, everyday a couple of recruits with the purpose that is equal of ours seek to join the Ramza Battalion, and we welcome them with open arms. Soon, we will strike back at the monarchy's newly introduced army. Of course we only have the strength to launch small guerrila attacks, but one day, after our resources become useful or an event triggers our hearts to turn berserk, we will overthrow this empire and put the righteous heir to the throne. If only Lord Overalt was not in prison, this would never have occurred. I do not feel proud to be given the rank of Lieutenant, Master Ramza. Why? Entry- Leo Tantosen Historical Context of the Ramza Batallion After the final end of the 50 year long Lion War, Ramza Beoulve declared his followers warriors and constructed a rebel group in case an outbreak of the corrupt monarchy occurred. Following the death of Ramza Beoulve, the monarchy was able to reconstruct itself under the treachory of the Prince Kelost. Under the monarchy, the kingdoms of the world were forced under the Kelost Monarchy's control, thus exiling those who opposed the previous monarchy. There was no opposition as the mempire of Kelost had grown too large to be overthrown, hence, the Ramza Batallion gained ranks unlike any others. Several attacks onto the empire whether they be to redirect resources toward the rebel groups in the world or guerilla operations, caused he Ramza Batallion to increase its publicity and yet further the need for its extermination. Under Lord Kelost's order, an army was formed, aimed with the blind goal to remove the rebels, and thus began the beginning of a second war. This war was then named ''The Dragoon Consequences' War''. As time passed, the rebel groups grew to a considerable size, and then operations were to be launched. Hence the world came to be as we know it. ----- Locations The Ramza Batallion Headquarters: The headquarters of the rebel group of the Ramza Batallion. Based primarily in woodland, this small landmark shares a borderline with the native Kupo Village. The headquarters is hidden in trees that surround the perimeter, hence it is given a natural habitat and cover from any invasions. The headquarters itself is made up of a newly-found material named 'Steel', this was chosen in order to prevent any explosive weaponry or bullets from piercing the walls. The Kelost Empire: A kingdom made primarily of machines. This highly industrial area is home to many classes of wealth. These being the dirty slums, or escalating to the central palace of its huge size. Hence, this makes an adequate area for Lord Kelost to stay in security. The Empire's continent is foritfied by its borderline walls made of solid stone. This stone was given by the excess use of the summon, Titan. There has never been an incident of any spy or person seeking refuge in this continent. This mainly being because of the number of enemies Lord Kelost has made. The Kupo Village: This mystical village is hidden between a maze of hedges and habitatal growth, thus preventing any human from viewing what the village holds. Rumor hold that in this village, there exists the friendly and magical race of ''Moogles''. It has been said that they can be called upon by summoners for their use of healing. The Machine Dockyards: This ocean based location is world-renowned for it's extensive use of importing and exporting. In this area, the invention of rifles and magical cannons were found. Now that the Dragoons Consequences' War has began, this dockyard has been supplying weaponry all over the world for each continent's defenses. However, this area is without wealthy, slums and thieves are always found in the outskirts of these docks. The Delita Grandway: Here, legend speaks of one hero whom left his friend Ramza Beoulve to become a Dark Knight, walked these very tracks in order to overcome any enemy that stood before. The blood spilt on thse tracks are supposed to glow a mystical beam of life, which guide any traveller around the world. This Grandway runs straight around the center of the world, connecting to any road leading to any location. The Missionary Fields: Here is said to have portrayed the end of the Lion Wars, each army was said to send a missionary declaring peace throughout the world. However, the Kelost Empire ignored this historical landmark and placed towers all around the surrounding border to claim the land as Kelost' territory. The Gunners' Canyon: Here is said to be the greatest of all places for the use of a Gunner. It's highlands that contrast with low lands provide excellent quality and range for any marksman to use. However, an underground connection of natural tunnels from erosion provide an escape for any victim. The Mages' Sanctum: Here the worlds' largest cathedral stands. It's huge structure provides many floors and rooms for any squire to learn the ways of the Mage. Soldiers were said to seek refuge here if injured, while the priests showing, no allegiance, would help any whom seeked aid. The Magick system still exists today. Wutai Village: This far eastern city is said to study its very own culture varying from ceremonial tea making, to the arts of the sword. The powerful and spiritual class of the Samurai is said to originate here, while they must pass the seven tests within the Bushido Pagoda. Wutai's people are said to be very secluded within their city and only unleash their abilities when they have the inevitable need to. The Civil Grounds: This huge area of life that spans the world is segregated within it's own countries. Villages and cities exist here to date, however, the Kelost Empire is said to be exiling men and women who refuse to join forces with them. This hugely populated area is a highly adequate location fro trade. These locations are only primary locations that stand out and give a historical context and deeper context to the world in this RPG. I am looking for some customisation if you are not happy with the locations. Just request and i will examine your ideas. I will also be designing a map. As you can see, this is a somewhat sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics, I tried my hardest to overcome the open ended storyline to make this RPG more intriguing. I shall now state the sign-up sheet required for an entry to join. Sign-up Sheet Name: (Please try to make this appropriate to the storyline) Age: (This can vary between to a young adult or older war hero. Either way, this adds to the intrigue). Origin:(I shall allow customisation here, you could create a village's name etc. However, if you choose to be under the Empire's rule who opposes the Batallion, make sure you state the origin as 'Empire Kelost'). Allegiance:(The Ramza Batallion, The Kelost Army or neither) Rank:(Leave this blank. I shall decide upon each sign-up. It is not chosen on sign-up quality). Job Class:(Final Fantasy experience in classes please. For example; Class: Dragoon. A large thankyou to James for the link that should help you out with this section. Job Class aid ) Weapon:(Medieval firearms can be included such as a rifle) Bio: Appearance: ------- That is all there is to it. All I require is an example of your writing that is no less than three paragraphs. Just simply PM me a short sample of your writing from another RPG so I can decide on whom to include. The main specification is that you have Final Fantasy knowledge. This is mainly linked to the classes. Another point. You can also be characters from other Final Fantasy games, but make sure they have nothing to do with high technology. So Ginnylyn, yes you can be Auron. Any questions, just ask. Thankyou for reading, and I'll post my sign-up after some recognitionfrom other members has been made.

I've heard of a few titles, bearing in mind that the release dates are bound to be delayed. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King- The sequel to the eagerly awaited for The Two Towers. Still boasting it's hack and slash features that bore quite quickly, the Return of the King is a complete rejuvenation as the length has been increased greatly and interaction with other characters has improved. -------- I'll bring more announcements of games later. That's the only game that stuck in my head.

I in fact used to have this game until I traded it. I remember it being one of my first PS2 games, however, I lost interest into it. Personally I found this game lacking in many areas, especially gameplay and gamelength (10 hours at the most ¬_¬). The graphics and cutscenes as you stated were intriguing and very special as anime always adds that little touch to a game, so on and so forth. The battle system made me lose interest especially, as it was just mainly static. If you are bored and want something to do, then I'd recommend this game, however, do not build your hopes up to be overly impressed, it is not great in my opinion. But, one to their own I suppose.

I am awestruck. The background piano ensemble is absolutely terrific. I could've sworn I saw Mickey Mouse somersault towards the end. I'm definitely about to restart Kingdom Hearts, I never got past the the last boss in that The Little Mermaid area. I really am looking forward to the game to be released. Considering there's Japanese at the bottom of the text, I'm presuming Japan still has a long wait to get it. Any release date confirmations guys?

I myself have not experienced this, however, I have heard of reports of incidents that have occurred similar to this. When the menu screen becomes glitchy, it's all well and good to exit, but I think the main objective here is to divert this situation eh? Well, have you checked the disc? As the technology didn't include a 'corrupt game file' message this is most likely what has occurred. You are not miles into the game yet, so it maybe best to clean and start a completely new game. However, as this glitch occurs at the same pace, there must be a jolt on the game data that is recorded onto the disc. The Wind Temple gave me a constant error that kept stating the same dialogue over and over again. I hope I could've been of some help.

OOC: Ignores Raiha's drunken post, meh. -------------- Zidane began to tremble, he was not used to new surroundings, let alone unexplained surroundings. Falling to his knees, Zidane cupped his hands and placed them onto his eyes and cheeks, this was his only form of dependance, to let it all out. No matter what the atmosphere was like, he was scared, scared like he had never been before. ''Argh! Why!?'' Zidane screamed as if asking a rhetorical question. This was shouted as he formed a crawling position looking downwards. Vivi found Zidane's response unlike him and stumbled over in which he placed his gloved hands onto Zidane's back. ''You've got me Zidane.'' Zidane whispered softly as he patted him on the back. ''...I know.'' Zidane looked up at the sunshine and supported himself to stand up as he smiled at Zidane in a sign of recognition and gratitude for Vivi's kindness. It fell quiet as the duo pondered in their own mental monologue for a split second. All of a second, the silence had broken. ???:''...Sano.'' Spoke a mysterious voice that had faded off into the distance. Someone was there, possibly behind the rock crevasse. In excitement, Zidane ran to the large rock formation that stood beside the forest onto the beach. Running into the water as his pace began to become much slower, Zidane grasped the rock and peered round to see a sillhouette of a trio. The other shadows were not far away but the sun made a huge contrast as the wooden decking reflected the sun's rays. ''Hey Vivi! Come over here!'' Zidane ordered in a more cheerful sense. In return, Vivi successfully charged towards the rock formation to also peer around in order to examine what Zidane had become so cheerful about. ''What do ya' think of it?'' Zidane peered down at Vivi to witness the glowing eyes narrowed. ''I... I dont know. Shall we find out?'' Vivi said with a tremble in his voice as he realised he was not the most adequate of swimmers. ''Of course!'' Zidane shouted as he began to paddle into the ocean. This was without looking back at Vivi as he knew, no doubt about it, he would follow either way. So it was with this, the duo began to head towards the mysterious trio that seemed to be on another beachside. However, that beach seemed more inhabited than this one. ----- OOC: Also in Kilika. ^_~
