gah, that sounds familiar, does it have somthign to do with dark horse? i remember reading somthing bout that there.... looking it up..... Digital Manga Publishers only thing i can find on it...
-
yeah... i need help with drawing hair accessories.
-
whoa, yeah, a hairdressing site, that's actually really smart. YOU SHOULD REALLY DO THAT TO LEARN HOW TO DRAW HAIR!

Manga What do you think of Lady K's rules?
kitsunekami replied to cyborg715's topic in Otaku Central
yeah, that's actually good point. i think she'll see this.... good idea. -
sorry, i'm an artist too, can't find a writer with a good plot, so i sggest: do fan doujin and go solo.

Manga When did you first start drawing manga?
kitsunekami replied to cyborg715's topic in Otaku Central
i know.... i was all like "HOLY SHOT THIS IS THE BEST EVER!" and now a days i don't even know where it was.... well, prolly under my bed..... that was like 3 motnhs ago, so hell knows..... my first comic is either burned or with my first pic. -
no, i havn't. but i havn't really tried, really drawn an actual long comic. i only do short ones. sorry...
-
um, ok, i am totally confused by your question..... your artwork looks bad when you do it yourself but when you copy it, it looks fine...... um, i think you should really practice... i totally agree with ozmos, i too use pictures for reference, but i think they mess up my head also... weird... i also agree wtih lindus, i used to just copy pictures. but then i started putting them in an original pose and such. yep.
-
ok, first questions first: how good does your artist need to be and how experianced? why are you doing this? i mean what are you plans with the final work? how experianced are the rest of the writers? wat is the rating on this?
-
yeah, duoikari, is so dam good. your plots and everything else. art specially. how long have you been drawing???
-
personally, i have never EVER used those bloody books. all of em, useless in my book. ya can draw perfectly fine with out em. just look at examples.
-
um, dun worry it'll come to ya? well, let's see here... pretty good for a basic plot. you need to come up with some other minor characters. like, the girl's freinds n stuff and the evil guy's alleys and motives. you also need a setting n such. if you want to write bout somthing else, just come up with a genre you want to write bout and then branch it from there.

hmmm, ok, i think this post may be against the rules, but uh, what type of hair are you trying to draw?
-
um, ok. is that it? i mean, what are you trying to tell us? do you have a pictureof her? doyou need help?
-
paneling is all about being original. pff, not really. but, everyone seems to do it in a different way. so just look at a bunch of different examples. you'll eventually get the idea. i think i saw an exampl on how to somewhere. but remember, this also has somthign to do with how the people are positioned.

DON'T BLOODY TRACE! look at it and then draw what you see. if you trace it, you will learn very little. the how to draw manga books do jack(and besides, their style isn't even really manga. it's like sick american stled manga that makes you wanna die). i taght myself how to draw, and i've only been drawing for a little while, and i've never had a lesson in my life, i have based everything i have done on my how much want it. and it works. and sounds really cliche. lmao.

Manga how do other dojinshi writers get ideas
kitsunekami replied to ichibanotakubak's topic in Otaku Central
well, go to japan and do non ecchi? that's possible, non H? maybe not. but you didn't say that so i must assume. anyways, how do you get ideas? you look around you, a picture, a book, scribbles, anything at all. i dun understand your question that well. but from wat i have heard, fan comics are a very good start. simply cause you can choose somthing that you have passion for so it comes easier. -
What i do is just get list of baby names and print em out and choose the ones i like. it works. you can get em in any language you want too.
-
yes, guys are totally hard fer me to draw too. but i've worked hard on getting over that. i need how to draw manga couples too. another one of those hard things. i also think the "how to draw manga & game characters" is probably the only good reference out there. it's the one my sister got. and online tutorials will help you loads. i have alot of trouble hair and it has done wonders for me.
-
yeah, that one free online fancomic, for hellsing, uh, i forget name, but bllodnight or somthing. yeah, it has the same style. nice. you must have an amazing artist on ur hands. i can say i'm jealous. it's got a very american tone to it.
-
actually, it matters where you are in drawing. my sister who can't draw jack got the first volume of the how to draw manga series. that wouldn't help me at all, cause i know all the basics. i would get a later volume. but i mostly really dun like books.
-
you know, i actually have the EXACT same problem. so what i do is just think about it until i like it and it forms a plot, and if it doesn't... then i give up. i have about twenty series and i've given up on all of them but the one i have planned on working on. i just keep them all filed in case i can pick it up one day and it'll look good or i can fix it.

i'm not the world's best person. but i'm not full of myself. what do you want help with?
-
o..k... tight powers. could you elaborate? please?
