Okami

Hey people. Just wondering if anybody here has ever heard of the game and what were your thoughts on the game. For those of you who don't know, Okami is an action adventure Japan-only release for the PS2. It's based on Japanese mythology and you play as the wolf form of the deity, Amaterasu. As Amaterasu, you have to restore color to the land. The player can accomplish this by performing various deeds and requests for townfolk in order to increase their faith in you. So far, from the trailer as well as a few screenshots, the game seems awe inspiring. I just hope that some day, the game will be able to grace the United States. I know chances are slim but hey, a guy can dream!
3. Usually, this girl that I fancy surfaces my mind. My lack of ability to interact with people in a social environment is a runner up.
4. Two words people- Outlaw Star. Here's a few edits for starters... * Poker is now Go-Fish. * Reloading of the caster gun? Gone. * Melfina with drawn in clothes. * Some sex scene?
5. Yeah, episode 2 of Champloo reminds me of the half-demon that was being terrorized in Inuyasha. Even though the episode contained the common monster looking with a kind heart character, the ending was kind of nice. You know, the scene where the guy told Fuu that he protected her because "she wasn't afraid" of him. Plus, the whole scene where the poisoned Mugen was getting knocked around by the so-called monster was kind of priceless. xD
6. Wetting my pants over the rope bridge in this camp (had to go to the bathroom real bad but the cabin wasn't close enough). :animestun
7. I'm not a hardcore rap fan but I recalled watching Tupac Resurrection on the TV. Pac's portrayal of the hungry waiting for food was simply clever and witty. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here it is... Kindly waiting for some food... "We're hungry, please let us in... we're hungry, please let us in..." A looong time later... "I come up through the door blasting!" Anyways, just felt like mentioning that. :D
8. I stick to the treadmill and work certain areas I want to build up (chest, abdominals, arms) at my local gym. I don't recommend it too much because it's easy to lose motivation fast. Lunox's method sounds more productive because it's fun which you always need if you want to stay motivated and driven to reach your goals. Hehe, I'm thinking about taking up DDR myself. :D
9. I'm all for different animes. We can't capture the variety of situations and stories Japanese animation has to offer if we stick to the safe animation that American channels allow us to see.
10. I'm so anxious, I already have the first 3 volumes ready to rent out through Netflix.
11. Hehe, the integration of Hip Hop music was all too classic. When Jin cursed out the governor and they substituted the curse word with a DJ cut, I was laughing so hard... :D
12. Hmm... so many good Japanese songs I've heard through Japanese animes or recommendation. It's really hard to narrow it down to one song. I guess I'd have to go with Gackt's "Tsuki No Uta".
13. I guess my biggest "Holy ____" moment in anime would have to be when
Spike died by the end of Cowboy Bebop. Me being a bit of a romantic, I was hoping for that happy ending where the bad guy would be killed and the main character would look to the future and live on.
I was obviously wrong.
14. Let me rephrase what I said earlier. I meant there was no solid answer for the people as a whole due to the different levels of tolerance and taste (as you just mentioned). I never meant that there was no solid answer for each individual. My apologies. :animeswea
15. In terms of personality, I do agree Spike and Mugen act similar in certain respects but I think Mugen is more brash and ill-tempered compared to Spike. Spike tends to maintain his cool unless it comes to Vicious. The voice acting is another element that I think Mugen and Spike share. It's funny because the English voice actors are two different people but somehow, these two different characters sound vaguely similar. :animestun
