Hello ^_^ Some of you may, or may not, remember me. I was once very active on the boards, but due to other issues became very inactive.. The Art Studio can never really die. I'm in 100% agreement with Boo, although I stopped coming and posting mainly because I couldn't find Retri's work. :/ But for the important information. I will be coming back to the boards periodically to check up on things and giving my two cents on others work. I'll make an attempt to check in everyday. But I guess this is my rebirth into the forums and the art studio.

Art [OBWT] Round 2: Boo & Sara VS sakurasuka & jigglyness
Ima replied to Ellerby's topic in Creative Works
Boo gets my vote Sara: Simply amazing piece.. In-fact for a while you had me hooked. The thing that changed my mind was the "freedom" of Boos Butterfly. Your image is very, but it blends a bit too well with the background and does not show freedom rather it being the same as everything else. I will agree with Retri that you by far had the best looking butterfly and overall feel, but it did not capture the whole "freedom" feel. jigglyness: I'm going to disagree with Retri on the middle brushing and say that is the best part. What took away from the piece was the top. It did not blend at all and just seems to cut off and go right into it. Your butterfly had no complexity and the piece does not really show freedom at all. Very nice overall, but not what i'm looking for. sakurasuka: Unlike alot of people I like this piece. The Simplicity of it does not take away from everything else and it all blends.. But it also removes from the piece and does not add any overall feel that you seemed to be going for. Good but not great, not your best but good overall. Last but not least Boo: This piece has that overall feel of "freedom." The white spot adds a ton in showing that the butterfly is seperate from its surroundings, this is the reason you got my vote. I really like the back of your butterfly and enjoy the filters used. -
En Mi Opinion :P It is nice.. You once told me not to use text to fill space.. And you did just that. Your main text is taking up space and takes away from the overall work. I'll agree with white on the box. Not your best work but the Background is nice and the colors don't hurt the eye. Pretty good. Sorry for not posting, I took a long trip to Maine.

Hello :P Long time no see. Very nice as always and I guess i'm the first to comment Clouds01: This piece makes me very happy when I see it. It is not overdone, but not underdone at the same time. It does not hurt the eye and is very catchy, it is very soft. The Addition of Hypnotic Carefree fits quite well :P Unusual Rain: This is like the first one in the way I feel, but has a very interesting twist with the arrows. Very nice. ForgiveMe: The colors used in this are very nice and blend with eachother very well. The text is placed pretty good and is right for this image. It has a certain flow to it that makes it look very good. The, what looks like an eye, in the top corner is very nice and add to the overall effect and feel that you seemed to be going for. The one problem I do have is with what I just commented on, it seems like at the bottom right of the "eye" it is blocky and a bit out of place. It could just be me :P Overall this is very very nice and would get a 9.2/10, 10/10 if I could see right :P I Love Him: Interesting, but at the same time very nice. The stock is very nice. The "I" and bottom of the "L" should've been moved over a bit more, you can see the white around them and it looks out of place. But other than that very simple and very nice. I like the pattern on the guy and girl. Very nice as usual, I hope to see more *Thumbs up* :animesigh

This new signature, banner, image, whatever you want to call it actually came out horrible. I tweaked it quite a bit and tired to make it work. And on for me making my return. I was once a very active member here, as some of you know, but I haven't been working on or with photoshop in about 10 months. My Birthday is August 17th so my brother decided to buy me CS2(I had CS1) So I decided what the hell and made a new image. I'll be making a slow return to the boards and attempting to get back to the skill at which I once was. So I guess this is the ReHello :p As for the image it did not come out right but i've been in a slump and really couldn't think of what I wanted to do, so I tried something different for a change. Enjoy.. Or Not. EDIT: After I looked at it for the 17th time I can see what really makes it horrible. I will redo it in a different manner and repost. The Clash of colors is a bit overboard and "Ima" Sticks out a bit too much. EDIT 2: I Redid the image and the second one didn't turn out great, I guess I didn't have the right colors but it was an improvement for sure.

This is quite possibly the funniest story I have ever got to adventure into in my entire life! Many, Many, Many random parts that add to the overall feel of the story :P Very interesting indeed In my mind this story starts very fast, then slows at certain points and gets back up to speed once again.

Quite possibly the most interesting things i've seen in quite some time :P The H. Banner captures the feel that you seemed to be going for, bright colors, clutter, and confusion. And that first piece of work.. let me just say this, IT IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN THE ENTIRE TIME ON EARTH! No lies that thing makes me "hot" if you know what I mean :P

I'm sorry I could not post a bit sooner but i've had some things going on. Simply amazing, as always you add in the small details that really catch the eye and add so much overall. All of your pieces are very crisp and clean. The best part is that you never try and over do it, you just go with the flow. The colors blend quite well and the text fits. Although I dislike the fade on the left end, it almost fades into a blue and makes the flow cut off in a very abrupt way. Overall it is very nice, but does have its "iffy" spots. Great Work As Always :P

It has been quite some time since I have been to the boards, 01-21-2006, at 01:09 AM, to be exact I'd like to congratulate you on your promotion Retri. I'll check up on the boards every week or so and post on your latest work, that is of course if you feel like making them. Bottles: This is very nice. I love the water effect that you have made on the "glass" and how it looks like the bottles are actually full of some type of liquid, of course you could've just taken the bottles from an actual image and made a few adjustments. The grunge on the bottles or the displacement of them is very interesting. And the addition of a different colored bottle seems to add to the overall effect of, to me, individualism. Although it has been quite some time since anyone has posted and I am re-opening a "dead" thread I believe it is appropriate.

Well as usual Retri it's quite nice. The image really does speak for itself. Very nice like always. I love the simplicity of the image and how it flows, and the colors are perfect. I really love it when you get away from very complex images. You seem to capture the simple things quite well. The Cuves add a nice overall feel to the image. As always nice :P I might have a theme for you from one of my most favorite songs :P If you don't feel like doing anything it's fine just to get somthing going ^_^ The Clash - Police on my back -- is the song

Well it's been quite a long time since I've been here. I come and check on this thread and that's about all. Failure [1, 2, 3, 4]: This is for all of them The text is is placed quite nicely, I love how it sticks out. Failure: The images seem to be just a deeper/darker-brighter/lighter feel. All the images, above his hair, have a crispy looking outline. Also, the left arm(Right if you look at the image) seems to jut out and be misplaced. EDIT: Some of his hard seems to be a little boxy also. The first being my favorite being as it shows the most detail to the character and the background. I would like to know if you actually did the whole image or just added text and did some coloration. Other than that the image is as usual amazing and a real piece of art.

Well I must agree with Dagger on the "Bad" Portions of the image. 1: I for one think it's decent. This doesn't seem to be a normal Retri image, it seems to be rushed. The BG is nice and the text seems to be well placed, however, I dislike its blandness. 2: The color effects added seem to be weird and out of place. The overall feel is nice but there are some rough spots. 3: Out of all of them this is my favorite. I, for some reason, am attached to this one. It just gives me a weird feeling. Colors are nice and neutral and I cannot seem to find any real discolorations. Overall they seemed to be rushed and a little sloppy for you.

Well this one is pretty hard to judge since both capture the theme well and both capture my eye... But here it goes. Retri: Well as usual the image is great and I love the overall feeling. However, I would have liked to see a comparison between Today and Yesterday(If you catch my drift) The Theme could not have been captured any better and it fits the overall feel of "BROADWAY." I love the three broadway terms. The Roman Numerals might signify the start of a show? 1 2 3!!!! Who knows? Great work as always. Baron: I enjoy the feeling of this piece. It gives you that feeling of broadway, depressing and yet bright. The quality of the image could've been better. I can see a contrast of Then and Now and that is what I was looking for. The image is simple but complex in a weird way. My Vote goes to BARON Retri you had it sealed with just a tad bit of color... That is all it would have took since I like you image better on a overall feeling standpoint. I want to see how this turns out, the images are far to close in overall quality and I think it will be nice to see where this goes. Just to let both of you know I changed my vote 5 Times.... That is how much respect I have for these images and both of you.

Deleted my first post on accident haha Warmaster although you have a right to your comment.. Saying a lack of effort for this piece is incorrect. If you look indepth at the piece you will figure out that it was not a lack of effort what so ever. Retri: Quite nice as always the design is simple yet effective and gets the point across the line clear. The colors do not fit "Great Literature" In opinion.. When I think of literature I think of indepth dark thoughts, so stick with the darker colors and not so bright and lively ones. The text and borders and amazing and quite nice as always. Delta: Hehe I love the piece as a whole but it does not fit in as a "Great Literature" Piece.. Colors are way off but I do love them don't get me wrong. It fits the whole science feel but not so much in the "Great Literature" section. The image overall has a better feel than Retris but not in the way I was looking for :P The image has a tech feel and not so much the rustic feel. "Great" Literature was made as you had stated in a time before you or me.. I really cannot say that we have any more Aristotles or Confucious's. But if you look at ancient or newer texts the paper seems to be older and darker. You captured the "Time" And "Space" Theme perfectly and I wish that this was the case but it's not :P My vote goes to Retri.

Hehe well your about the only reason I come on OB... I check your thread and thats about all. I've been quite busy so you know. Systematically Losing the Knack: I love the simplicity of the image once again. As I Leonardo Da Vinci said simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. But this seems to be a little cluttered? Its very nice but it does not have the feel of the rest of your pieces. Ill get right on the other later.. Im heading to bed
