Brivli, Son of Gloin, Heir to the Erebor It was a long trek ahead. The search for the lost Buril Company to arrive from Ered Mithrin was long delayed, as the company should have arrived a week earlier. "What could have become of them?" spoke Brivli in a confused voice. "Perhaps they were ambushed by the Goblins." said Thuri. "Goblins? Ambush Dwarves?" Brivli spoke in an irritated voice. "There have been of old times when even heavily armed Dwarves have fallen to the hands of Goblins in ambush." said Thuri. "We might as well consider that for the time that be." Brivli spoke. Brivli and his company stopped at the edge of the gorge. They had reached the Iron Hills. "What? This is not Ered Mithrin. Bring me a map." they examined the map to find they had stumbled in the wrong direction to the Iron Hills. "The Iron Hills?" spoke Altharl "We were headed for the Withered Heath opposite Ered Mithrin." The company looked down the gorge. They stared. They saw what appered to be a speared body. Brivli sent Thuri to look. "It's Etenin!" he called. Ethenin, Son of Bruonin, was the Advisor to the Lord of the Ered Mithrin. "Search the cavern. The Goblins might have killed the others there." A moment later, Thuri called that he'd found the others. "Then we ride to Dosrethedwelf." Dosrethedwelf is the mighty Dwarven city underneath the Erebor. "We must tell the Lord." Along the ride, the company halted at the sound of a scream. "What?" called Althri. "Goblins." Brivli yelled. Brivli quickly drew his fine silver Erebor Walking Axe and walked to the small hill. Below he saw a Goblin. "Duradrem Plaithur!" He called as he flew down the hill. The sound of metal slicing the air rang inthe silence. The bump of the Goblin's head falling to the ground echoed throught the plain. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are! -

Request Fullmetal Alchemist banner and avatar request
Tyler Koregaten posted a topic in Creative Works
Hello, I am looking for a Fullmetal Alchemist banner with Edward Elric off to the left side, bright, sunset-like colors, and the text "Dir angaard Fleuen biest trelt hvor" in a cursive-like font in italics in the top right-hand corner and in the bottom right corner in a medieval font like kingsfont or something the words "Tyler Koregaten: Dog of the Military". For the avatar, just Edward's face like in the banner with the sunset-like colors. If someone could please do this, I'd be very appreciative. As for sizes, just make both the banner and avatar as larg as they're aloud to be. ~ Tyler -
The prettiest song you've ever heard?
Tyler Koregaten replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Noosphere
I didn't think there were many people the boards that liked classical. My hat is off to you. And if you like Beethoven, you should listen to Pachelbel's Cannon In D Major. Amazing song.
I LOVE classical music. It's pretty musch the only musical genre I listen (ot know well, I was bron on a Danish island in the Baltic :animeswea ) I LOVE Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D Major: I perform that with the North German String Quintet all the time. But, I am quite fond of the Flower Duet from Lakme by Massenet, I believe. I also like the Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn and Liebestraume by Liszt and the Pathetique Piano Sonata by Beethoven and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart. About Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninthe Symphony in D Minor, Here's my review: It's absolutely phenomenal! The most emotional part to me is the Fourth Movement. It starts in a lower, more aggressive scale with timpani tremolos and trumpet blasts and then the double-basses playing a very low part followed by more timpani tremolos and trumpet blasts. Then it eventually makes it way to the cello solo playing the Ode to Joy theme we all know and love. After the cello finishes the them, the double-basses, violas, violins, oboes, bassoons, and clarinets join. After the theme is completed that time, the instruments step up 2 and a half steps to G major. After that theme is completed, there comes the full orchestra part. After the theme is completed, it goes back to the opening theme. Then a baritone sings a solo. "O Freunde! Nicht diese Töne! Laßt uns anghemerene, anstimmen" The baritone then sings the theme, accompanied by pizzicato strings and woodwinds. After he finishes the first verse of the theme, the full chorus joins and finishes. Afterward, a quartet of singers sings the first verse in harmony with different text. The chorus finishes the verse. Then, the same quartet sings a new theme with new text. After singing the first verse, the chorus finishes with many repeats. Then the opening theme is heard. There is a slight period of silence until the bassoons play a staccato theme finallt accompanied by flutes, a piccolo, a triange, cymbals, and the brass. After the theme's finished a tenor sings a solo. The men of the chorus then also join. After the theme is finished, We hear about 2 minutes of strings, brass, and woodwind playing an anxious-like melody that concludes with long, arpeggio skips. Afterward, the French horns play a fanfare with woodwinds. At the climax of the fanfare, the strings join in. When that theme finishes we hear the mighty, all known Ode to Joy theme, sang by full chorus along with the full orchestra. After that, the men of the chorus sing a new verse, often being echoed by the women. This takes place for about nine minutes until we hear soloists singing the original text with new music. After a note is held for 6 measures, The strings play a tremolo passage that is molto accelerando (becoming faster and faster) and then full orchestra and chorus. At the end, the chorus slows. After the chorus's last note, the orchestra plays the theme over and over. The finale is a loud timpani roll. The song then ends. I hope you liked my wonderful review. ~ Tyler -
How do you pronounce your username?
Tyler Koregaten replied to DBZgirl88's topic in General Discussion
Tyler is pronounced as it looks, But Koregaten (which happens to be my real last name) is pronounced "coor-uh-gyah-ten", not the popular pronounciation "core-gate-n". Why is that my last name you might ask? Because I am in fact from Denmark and Koregaten is the 4th most common last name there. HOWEVER if I were to go to Denmark (and I do often, have a house there), and I had to sign my name for some reason, I would not write "Tyler Koregaten" that's just the English simplified version. I would write "Teiler Køregåten" which is grammatically correct in Danish. -
Wha-- How did you find out about that!?bThat's Internationally classified information!!!! I know the authorization ID's. You better have one or your subject to International Law, pal. If your authorized, prove it. I'm a Brigadier General in the Danish Military, and I've never seen such a scandal! It's a breach of International Security!!!! You've got a lot of explaining to do!!!!

All I had to do was type my name. My name is special to me because my last name means "of the highest honor" in old Danish. This name has brought me great respect amongst my people, and I resepct it back. ~ Tyler

Anime hey, any yaoi fans in the house?
Tyler Koregaten replied to punk alchemist's topic in Otaku Central
I'm not exactly a yaoi fan. I find it, how should I put this, disturbing, in a way(and It's illegal in Denmark :animeswea ) But that's your opinion and I respect that. Don't take me wrong. Anyhow, I'm not saying I hate yaoi fans, I'm just saying that's not my type of anime. Efanksi jår Dønnegen! ~ Tyler -
Hey I've got a question for all of you. Do any of you know specifically what this symbol means, and please don't say "It's an alchemist symbol."
You have a question and I have an answer. The Delis Serpitum or Serpent's Cross symbolizes the balance of power. The serpent represents the holder of power. The cross represents the source of power. They are shown intertwined to represent the balance between the two. The symbol was crafted in 300 B.C. by Leptius Sorcrae, the founder of alchemy and author of the Magnus Opus and the Serum Escliae. Your question's been answered. ~ Tyler

Ah... Hélène Grimaud, one of the world's most accomplished concert pianists. She has great skill and boasts some of Europe's best musical training. She's attended Le Conservatoire du France in Paris, Die Konservator aus Deutschland in Berlin, Juilliard in New York, and Le Academie de lá Európeançais en Paris in Paris. She's released 14 albums and is working on the fifteenth, Réfléxións (Reflections) I want to see where this thread goes. If you adore the music of Hélène Grimaud, this is for you. ~ Tyler

Yes, I agree. As some of you already know, I went to see the movie in Japan this summer. It was exactly like that. It was very good, but it left me wanting more. The thing that hurt was your your wants wouldn't be fulfilled because bam, the series is over. I do recommend it. To understand it, you would have had to see the entire series, and that rules out a lot of people. Thanks.

I believe that the English voice actor for Wrath is Michael Derrson, or something. According to this German FMA site, he's also supposed to do the Fuhrer's son, too. ................"Jannen brench was die hier än läßt er Michael Derrssonn, ünd der Englisch verssionen aus Über-Mettällen Alchemistene"...... Yes, said it there. Well, hope that helps. Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten

Very true. I completely agree with you. Yes, I do believe Sensui's Sacred Armor was a sort of tribute to Saint Seiya. As far as Chapter Black goes, it was very well planned out. The storyline was perfect, characters perfect, and the plot was stupendous. Chapter Black was about 99.9% perfect. It did need more backgroung on Itsuki and Sensui. I love your opinions, Dagger. Your thoughts have really made me think. Thank you. Most sincerely, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten

Does anyone here study true alchemy?
Tyler Koregaten replied to kenshi112's topic in General Discussion
Crazy? And HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME ABOUT MY BROTHERS PASSING!!!! I just realized something........ I try to be friendly and share with others my life, my struggle. Yet you put me down like a lunatic! I have something to tell you both, YOU'LL BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!! Most unsincerely, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten P.S. I don't even no why I bother with this thread..... I have work to do. I don't care what YOU say. I know what's true in my life, and that's good enough for me. It's not your damned right to judge me. -
Does anyone here study true alchemy?
Tyler Koregaten replied to kenshi112's topic in General Discussion
As for the thread title: nope, I haven't come across anyone who studies "true alchemy" yet (it's probably because they're all hush-hush about it, as Tyler Koregaten said) but give me a book on alchemy and I'll read it. Wouldn't hurt to study about these things, yeah?[/SIZE']
It is true that most alchemists, myself included, don't wish to reveal that fact to others, eother because their teacher forbade it or for personal reasons. I myself don't mind sharing it with others. Every time I speak of alchemy, I see my instructor, Shaman Quusad. I hear his voice telling me what the transmutation requires and that nature must be respected to achieve anything. Then I see him perform that transmutation, the first I saw. It appeared impossible to me. But now, it's simple, a simple reconstruction. Taking ash and transmuting it to a small bowl. The circle was a mere circle with a square inside of it. Anyways, I believe many alchemists feel we're a minority group, and we are. There are only about 10,000 alchemists worldwide today. Others cannot speak of their practices, for those of us who do belong to a military have no records. We do not exist. It is so, because those who threaten them, or us, cannot find us. Can you imagine what it's like to have no true identity? To die and not have a grave? It sounds horrible, but it's our job. Yet, we are alive. You can't even be sure I'm really who say I am. For all you know, the name "Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten" could very well be a name given to me as a temporary identity. But, there's hope. I could very well be who I said. That's where trust comes in. You can choose to trust me, a military alchemist with no traceable background, or you can't trust me. Either way, I belong here, in a way. You know, if you read the Hurricane Katrina thread, my brother died during the hurricane. But, they couldn't count him as a fatality because he was related to me. They couldn't add him to the list. It's sad. Yet, we've chosen this lifestyle, just like you've all chose yours. And we have to live with our choices. More sincerely than ever, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten -
Yes, I know. I've been working on finding a working link, and also a better URL. I didn't pay attention to it. Thank you for being observative. Sincerely, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten

It is a good "chapter" isn't it. Yes, the part with Gourmet made everyone shudder when they saw it. It was rather, um... unexpected... Anyways, You're in for a treat as far for the following episodes. I'm in the "Three Kings" saga right now. It's definately one of the best Yu-Yu Hakusho sagas. My favorite part of it would have to be the "King Urameshi" DVD I mentioned earlier. Do you have the "Three Saint Beasts" DVD set yet? It has special never- before -seen footage. Not mention it comes with a seperated DVD which has all of the episodes re-done with new scenes, new lines, new characters, and some new....um......content........ I'll just say the seperate DVD is rated TV-MA. This is what it said it was rated TV-MA for: "strong language, violence, adult content, sexual themes, strong sexual content, gore, and brutal torture." Yikes, huh? To get the seperate DVD with it, you had to pay $45.00 extra and be over 18. It also says another anime studio helped with its production. Hope that information helps. I've been thinking about posting this thread for some time. I don't know if it's going to go anywhere, though. The rules of this game are simple. In your post, give a link to a music file. Then, someone has to name that song. NOTE: Be careful that the URL of the song file doesn't give it away. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, here's the twist, the songs can only be classical, rock, metal(as described by Jake of Bodom) or Japanese(anime). Got harder, didn't it? After 30 or so posts, I'll tally scores and the winner will be given a special drawing in their honor, done by myself. I'll start it off: CLICK HERE Enjoy Sincerely, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten

I know how you feel..... I feel the same way I receive new anime DVD's or mangas. Most recently, receiving my Yu-Yu Hakusho: King Urameshi DVD. I haven't ordered the Chapter Black set yet, but I'm definately planning on it. Chapter Black is one of my favorite Yu-Yu Hakusho seasons. I have ordered the Dark Tournament box set, though. I watched it 3 times straight, from 12:00 P.M. to 11:30 the next day. Yeah. Thank you, Teiler Johannes Niels Jääfren Köregäten
