Normally we don't mind a little grave digging when it comes to reviving a thread mamimi, But the original post and most of the people who responded haven't even been online in three years so there's no point here. It's a good idea to check thread dates for ones seeking advice before you respond to them. So with that in mind I'm going to close this. If the original poster or the person you responded too decides to sign in, they can just start a new thread at that point. ~Aaryanna Thread Closed

Hahahaha! I love this one! :catgirl:

Katelyn felt out of place with the others now that Viktor and Natalia were gone. Misha seemed friendly enough, but the graceful Ilona and the news reporters Adam and James just made her nervous. She was positive that James had given her an odd look back on the space station but he hadn’t said anything since then. She followed along as Misha took the group back to the homes that the first class passengers stayed in. The huge synthetic mountain that looked like it had facilities built into it was a bit startling to see. Along with the large homes that apparently each passenger had one of, the whole thing looked like some posh resort instead of a deck on a spaceship. Seeing pictures of it in a brochure just didn’t do it justice at all. Nor had viewing it from an observation window when she had taking the tour when she first got on board. If anything, it just made her feel even more self conscious in her school uniform. The inside of the home Viktor was staying in didn’t help either. Everything was made of the finest materials. Plush carpets and lavish furniture with what had to be expensive leather and silks for the chairs and sofas in the room. The others seemed to be unfazed and took Misha’s instructions to heart, helping themselves to what looked like a large bar up against the far wall in the main room before finding comfortable chairs to sit in and engage in small talk. I wonder if they have soda. She wasn’t old enough to have alcoholic drinks and she wasn’t sure she even wanted to. Katelyn hovered between considering leaving when Misha came over to where she was still standing next to the door to the home. “There’s no need to be so nervous Miss Brennan,” Misha told her with a kind smile. “It’s that obvious huh?” “It is.” Misha smiled again. “It’s nothing to worry about. If you like once Viktor gets back I can take you on a tour of this deck if you’d like.” Katelyn’s eyes widened a bit. “Is that allowed?” “Of course it is.” She fussed with her tunic for a moment, smoothing out a crease. “Well it’s just that when I took the tour that included the bridge, other than to look in we weren’t allowed to actually explore the first class deck.” “You would be coming along as my guest,” A voice from behind her said. She turned to see Viktor in the doorway. “Ah, I see.” She couldn’t think of what to say to that. Viktor just smiled and leaned over a bit when he got close enough, his voice only loud enough for her and Misha. “So you know, I told them that I was touring the Von Braun upon my return. I let them think I was alone.” Katelyn nodded. “Now what would you like to have to drink?” “Soda please,” Katelyn replied. “If you have it that is.” “Of course we do miss.” Misha said. “If you’ll come with me I’ll show you what the choices are.”

I love Bichons, especially my own dog that is in my avatar/banner set. So, I used her name when creating a user name. There was no grueling process about it. I didn't really consider anything else other than perhaps my own name, Bethany. But I like Aaryanna better so that's what I went with.

I kind of lucked out in that respect though. o_O Aaryanna is a curious kid and used the library and the Internet to figure all that out when she was eleven. I had planned on having that talk with her when she turned twelve.
I can't help it... I got sick of people telling me "Babies come from heaven!" a;dfasjfdalksdf!!! >_> Not you of course but still. I like to get a real answer when I ask someone something. XP
I also think the Catholic Church's refusal to distribute condoms in regions plagued by HIV/AIDS is even more foolish. Instead, they advocate "natural family planning" and abstinence rather than approach the situation realistically, geared for success.
If they did that, they wouldn't be a religion now would they? And in their view, teaching abstinence is gearing their kids up for success based on their beliefs. The day religions start handing out condoms is the day I'll wonder if hell suddenly froze over or something equally as dramatic. o_O Anyway, I'm in favor of a more complete education while at the same time, I think parents shouldn't be expecting schools to teach their kids. Though said parents need to actually do so themselves. >_> Provided the kid hasn't already searched and gotten the answers. =P

In spite of it being two months I'd like to continue as well. >_> Ironically, I'm recovering from a sinus infection right now. So I haven't been feeling very good this week. But the meds are working so I could probably get something up either tomorrow or Saturday.

What makes this one funny, is one of our relatives had a poor cat like this. It got so fat it couldn't get out the cat door. Okay, and I finally posted. >_> I got my character to the safe house, but obviously I have no idea where to go next. XP I'll just wait for others to post since I'm not sure what to do. Still, sorry for the delay. Getting back into the habit of being in school again kind of got me side tracked for a bit there. It was short, but having a few days of nothing but driving to the new location had been peaceful. No visions, no freaks, and no fellow hunters to think you were a freak for wanting to be sure they weren?t a problem before you dealt with one of the horrors. Jonathan knew that the only ones who understood him were those who always tried to save them first. He didn?t really want to save them; he just didn?t think it was right to destroy them if it was a natural process. Jonathan sighed and then he laughed at where his thoughts were going as he continued down the freeway into New Orleans. He reached over with is right hand to crank up the volume of the song currently playing on the radio. A Promise In The Clouds. One of these days he needed to remember to pick up the album to add to his small collection. The exit he wanted came up and he took it without hesitation. He had checked the hunter net at the last motel he had stayed at so he knew just where to go. Someone had set up a safe house in the city and though he was still not convinced that it wasn?t a prank, safe houses were still a good means to gather information from other hunters. It would probably be best to go there before he went to the specified location. How well the safe house was set up would be a good way to help determine if it was a prank or not. Or so he thought, but if he found nothing there, then it would be obvious. For some reason he couldn?t think clearly now that he was actually in New Orleans. He wondered if it was just the exhaustion of the trip speaking. However by going to a safe house, he wouldn?t have to bother with checking the area. Someone else would have already scouted the area. There would be no need to make sure the motel in question didn?t have any nasty surprises for him. All of that would already be taken care of for the safe house's location. He followed the directions to the safe house that he had memorized earlier in the day before he left. It was early afternoon and the traffic was on the light side. The song he was listening to was just coming to an end as he pulled up in front of the building in question. He killed the engine and got out, tucking his keys in his pocket before locking and shutting the door. Jonathan wanted to talk to someone before he bothered to bring his stuff in. Though he had his weapons, leaving those behind was something that he never did unless he had no choice at all. He?d almost gotten himself killed once by doing that. Never again, it was better to risk getting arrested for having them on his person. He took a deep breath and started towards the main door to the building. It was a pity that the short break was over with. Though if he was lucky and it was just a prank, then he?d get the break of the drive back to the other town or at the very least one of settling into this area.

1. What level of education are you at? Highschool, college? I'm still in High School. 2. What's your favorite subject, or if you're in college, what's your major? Anything BUT English. >_> Though I like reading a lot, I just hate grammar/spelling, etc. My plan is to become a vet later on, though that won't happen for a while. 3. Why is it your favorite subject or field of choice? Uh, reading is fun and not really a subject, I just like doing it. Now as for what I want to do, I love animals, especially dogs so I'll be working with what I love. 4. What's your ideal job along the field you are studying? Already answered this one. Either you're a vet or your not. I want to work in a city though since I like dealing with the smaller animals like dogs and cats, I'm not planning on working with farm animals. 5. Talk about whatever it is that interests you! Why is it so damn interesting? Because reading is fun, you can always find something good to read at the library. I love animals so learning more about them is fun.

I survivied my first week of high school. :D
Aaryanna replied to Lady Aura's topic in General Discussion
Glad to hear it's working out for you and like Drizzt Do'urden just said, ignore the doomsday talk about college. I may still be in High School, but I got to take two classes at college a few years ago. It was actually more fun that High School. I'm looking forward to when I'll be going in a few years. :catgirl: -

Judging from your motives, I'm truly surprised Retribution didn't make an appearance. Probably because around here, people take it way too seriously and get way too worked up over it. Silly religious people... and yes I can say that, I use to be one of them... key phrase, used to.
You're probably right, but such is life. I do admit that the country challenge is one of the more difficult ones, but I know for a fact that there are active members who live in more than ten different nations.
Well yeah, but you practically live here at OtakuBoards oh ancient one. =P Unlike newer members like Sabrina. I actually keep checking to see if you've changed things... but usually you haven't. >_> One of these days I'll get that bingo. Anyway, obviously I'm in the US since that's where my mom is. She certainly didn't live in a different country when I was born. Other Utahan's have said it. We're a great place to visit if you like the outdoors. With five national parks, you could easily spend the entire summer visiting places and going on hikes. :catgirl:

They're okay I guess. I don't mind hearing them, but I don't like them enough to bother and actually get one of their albums. Their sound is a bit too old school styled for my tastes. It reminds me of older stuff I've heard my mom play. >_>
