2. I imagine people would remember me as that girl who was obsessed with her dog... XD And since I do love that little fur ball. I'm fine with that. :catgirl: Other than that, I don't really have something I want people to remember me for. If they do, great, if they don't, so what? It's not like I'll be around to know they don't so it won't matter.

 6.
My understanding is that some of the show was done different from the manga. It was altered to removed the men in black from episodes. Which in my opinion is a shame since I agree that having so little about them in the show was annoying.
That's correct. I've read the some of the manga and there are episodes where instead of staying true to the manga, they changed the villains to someone else. I agree though Sabrina... I wish they hadn't done that since it makes the show feel like you're never getting anywhere. I do love watching it though. :catgirl:

 9. Jonathan had finished taking a shower and getting cleaned up, he still didn?t have an appetite though. The lingering stench was still making his stomach turn. So instead he turned his attention to the Hunter-Net while his hair dried and his nerves settled back down. It was all pretty routine or rather there was nothing new to look at other than one odd e-mail that he didn?t know who the sender was. He read it once, raised an eyebrow in disbelief and then read it again. What kind of stupid prank is this? The whole thing was to be blunt? cheesier than hell. It was like some stupid plot from a really bad horror flick. He ran the main points of it through his mind as he re-read it for a third time. ?Expecting company of a higher order - Things must be planned out perfectly - I know your identities - Don?t tell anyone other than who I choose to show up or you all die? What moron wrote this drivel? Jonathan scowled at the address given that was located in New Orleans. Riiight. I?m just supposed to blindly make arrangements to fly or drive there so some lame ass experienced hunter can have fun hazing one of the newer guys on the Hunter-Net. He moved to delete the message and then paused, his hand hovering over the mouse. Even if it was a prank, what if they really had sent it to others? He wasn?t getting anything from it like he did with other messages. But that didn?t mean anything, if the place was too far away or the events too far into the future, he often didn?t get anything with his sight. The only way to be sure would be to actually go there. If it was a prank he could do something about it. His ability to see into the past would let him know who had done it if someone actually had set up a stupid prank. Jonathan sighed and moved to print a copy of the address instead of deleting the message. I am so going to beat the hell out of the idiot who thought of this. We don?t have time for this kind of bullshit. The realization that whoever had sent it was wasting people?s time decided him. That and the trip would give him a tiny break from having to deal with the horrors that were just waiting out there. Sometimes, he got so tired of that, dealing with the damn visions and the creatures that spawned them. I don't know how the others keep doing this for years at a time. He hadn't even been doing it a year and already he wanted to quit. If mankind really was going to evolve into something like that, he just wished it would just go ahead and get it over with. Though why he even wondered if that was the case, he didn?t fully understand. He just couldn?t get that thought out of his mind at times. Wondering if he was doing the right thing or not. The printer finished, shoving the paper out into the tray and Jonathan logged out before turning everything off. First he needed to call a friend to get some more supplies and then once he had packed, he would head off. Sure he could have flown out there, but that would have left him without a vehicle and weapons since no commercial airline was going to allow him to cart his arsenal with him. He stood up and went into the bedroom to start packing.
 10. o_O You are weird Indi! =P Anyway, my last dream that was unsettling was one where I dreamed my mom and I went to the movies. It wasn't that bad until we got home and discovered that someone had broken into the house and stolen everything! I was glad to wake up and realize that it was only a dream.
 11.
I love Fruits Basket!
That's great but doesn't really add much to the topic you started. Why don't you tell us what kind of anime you would create if it were to be the next hit? I have no interest in making one myself but if I did... I'd go for slice of life with humor in it, much like Lucky Star. If not that then a romantic comedy like Lovely Complex. I love stuff that's down to earth and makes you laugh and cry at the same time. :catgirl:

 13. My mom has had one in the past and though she hated the procedure, like Beth just said, it was a real relief for her since the pain, even with the root canal being done was a whole lot better pretty much immediately. Then of course there was the relief of it being gone completely once she had healed from having it done. So... hang in there, you'll be glad you got it taken care of. :catgirl:
 14. I'm with Allamorph, there's nothing wrong with being curious but you do have to know when to not speak up or when not to pry. That's something I've learned the hard way in the past. It's so easy to let your curiosity get you in trouble, seriously. Like Drizzt Do'urden said with the following the mouse into the road... Splat! XP I've gotten curious about things and then felt like I got run over when I pried and found out more. So stay curious, but at the same time, just be careful that you don't over do it and that you don't think poorly of others who have different interests. Because then, you're just being a stuck up jerk and no one likes one of those. =P
 15. I don't have a problem with them serving, but I don't see that policy changing anytime soon. Raiha's snarky comment about calling us homo haters hits a little to close to home when you consider that states are scrambling to deny gays the right to get married. It's kind of sad to watch really. People being such cowards and intolerant. The thing about laws protecting minorities is they still had a majority of the politicians behind passing the laws to do so. In this case, sadly the majority of politicians are narrow minded idiots who are threatened by the idea that someone who is gay is actually normal. Look at the idiocy I get to have fun dealing with when I'm finally old enough to vote! XP
 16. I really don't see the fuss. So long as they did everything necessary to ensure that the baby was healthy then my response is best of luck with the new addition to their family.

 18. I still don't buy it. But then my character is educated and very logical, even with the insanity of the imbuing and knowing about demons. He hasn't been doing it for decades like some of the others, it hasn't even been a year yet for him. So he probably thinks one of them is poking fun at him since he's new and a bit naive with his lack of knowledge. I believe that's called Hazing and therefore a stupid prank in his mind. :p I'll think of some reason to get him to go there though, I'm just saying that right now, he sees it as nothing more than a stupid prank. About the only reason I see that would work is him using it as an excuse to take a short break from the hunter business since he hates the damn visions that he gets since he can't fully control them yet.
 19. So mean to Shy, even though the original thread said this:
Be sure to submit an entry, no matter what your skill-level may be.
I object! You're discriminating against Shy's copy and paste skills! :D [/smartassmode] I suppose the real course of action would have been to pm Sara and suggest she enter her banner into the contest. I know I would have done that if I had thought of it. Heh.
 20.
I voted for Endrance because it appealed to me the most for the following reasons: I like the curved corners, the color choices, the text, the lighting, and the background. Everything flows together well, and the character render stands out perfectly from the background, but still blends in enough. Endrance gmv.
I vote for this one for the same reasons. Plus the choice of colors is both soothing and very appealing. So I give my vote to Endrance. :catgirl:
 21. And I quit being lazy and posted. >_> All that warm sunshine and shade along with books from the library keep luring me into spending way too much time outside.
 22. Doctor Matheson told herself that she wasn?t going to allow any emotions show when the time came. Now that the moment had finally arrived, she couldn?t help but feel wretched and helpless inside. Finding out that Erica Kendrick had been the leader of the Resistance didn?t change the fact that she had spent most of her career working within the system to improve conditions for the slaves. Crystal had lost count of the times she had kept her own pushes for improvements from falling though. To see such a resolute and influential woman dying only made her curse her inability to do anything to stop it. Yet another part of her was glad she could do nothing. Saving her would have only meant interrogation and torture and the hands of the other Council members in order to obtain the secrets she held. Crystal sighed as she watched Erica struggle to breath. There was little else she could do for her. Erica had already lived longer than most. However, even her will to live couldn?t halt the disease that ravaged her body. She had refused Crystal?s offer to give her more medicine. It wouldn?t do anything, other than to let her pass on in peace. The soft sounds of the equipment in the room were unnaturally loud to Crystal and part of her wanted to turn them off. It felt like they were intruding where they did not belong. Why? She thought. Why did it have to be you of all people? She had no answers of course. ?So no one else will be coming.? Erica?s voice was so soft that Crystal could barely make it out. ?Did you really expect them too?? ?No child, I did not.? Erica smiled faintly. ?You?re the only one I?d want here anyway.? Crystal looked away. Uncomfortable with the situation she had been placed in. She would have rather not been there, but Erica was her charge and she would be required to confirm her death for the rest of the High Council. ?I know you?d rather not child,? Erica paused as she struggled for a moment to catch her breath. ?I am sorry for the burdens I have placed on you, it was unfair of me.? Crystal still had nothing to say. It would be pointless to argue with someone who was dying. It would serve no purpose and change nothing. She still could not bring herself to say any comforting lies to her. She wanted to, but she found that she simply could not do it. The realization that she had become so harsh towards others had her feeling at odds with herself and she wished more than anything to be elsewhere at that moment. ?The past is just that Erica,? She finally managed, the silence unbearable. ?The past and not worth mentioning at a time like this, nor will I lie to you or argue or agree with you.? Erica smiled slightly, ?That honesty of yours is more comforting than any lie could ever be.? She took another deep breath and let it out. ?Keep following that and you?ll do fine.? She looked away and closed her eyes. Another slow shuddering breath and then she was gone. Crystal sat still for a while before she finally got up and acquired the necessary scans and then sent off the orders to properly deal with the body. As soon as it was stored on the shuttle heading back to sector one, she would be going along since she had been ordered to also escort the two earthling slaves back to sector one. Yet another duty she?d rather not do. She turned her back on Erica and left the room to go and get ready for the trip.
 23.
Why?
Probably on account of Indi's post. It was just really funny that he wanted a donut. lol
Shhhhhhhh! There is no reason, just plot devices.[/COLOR']
But it's easier to be creative if you have some clue what's going on. I don't like something happening just for the plot's sake if you know what I mean. Obviously you can't avoid it to some extent, but there needs to be something that tells him he needs to actually pay attention to the message. This is the era of e-mail spam! I get tons of messages that I don't even bother to open so I just don't see it working at the moment. ^^
 24.
Cue motive for everyone to begin flocking in the same general direction.....now.
My question about the e-mail is why would people take that seriously instead of seeing it as a possible prank? Perhaps I'm missing something but I'm not seeing a reason why my character would do anything with it other than to delete it.
Yes I know I'm being dense, but it's just not clicking. So... explanation please? XP
Oh and before I forget, I find it rather amusing that Nicholas likes donuts of all things. :D
 25. Jonathan cursed his bad luck that put him in a graveyard in the early morning hours. He moved as silently as possible and yet he was still making more noise than he would have liked in his haste to find the damn kids. Careful fool, you won?t do any good if you get yourself killed. He tightened his grip on the solitary pistol he was holding up, pointed towards the sky. The hint of a false dawn was starting to show as he kept weaving in and out of the various headstones. He was halfway through the place when nervous laughter echoed across the burial grounds. Oh good, he was going to make it? Screams replaced the laughter and with a curse he took off towards the sound at a dead run. ?God. Damn. Stupid. Kids!? He muttered to himself as he stumbled over the uneven ground in the darkness. There were five of them, lumbering things that despite their appearance were surprisingly quick. The teenagers, three of them, were attempting to find a way through the monstrosities that had surrounded them. One was clutching their left arm tightly where blood was flowing from a gash. The sounds of flesh being ripped apart in the past intruded into Jonathan?s mind and with a savage jerk he stuffed the semi-vision down and took aim. Before the creatures could even realize he was there, one by one he took them down, the shots knocking them over. ?Get out of here.? He snarled at the terror-stricken teens who were staring at him once the clamor had died down. ?Now!? He barked when they hesitated. ?But?? one of the girls started to stammer. ?Shut up.? He growled, moving over until he was less than a foot from the kids who cowered. ?Get the hell out of here. I?m not going to explain what happened and you?re going to behave and not do something so stupid again.? ?Hey! How the hell were we supposed to?? The boy trailed off when Jonathan fixed him with a glare. ?I won?t be around the next time you do something so stupid so get lost before?? A scuffling noise came from behind him and with yet another snarl he shoved them out of the way and whirled quickly in place, his gun coming up as one of the creatures lunged at him. ?Results please,? he whispered to himself. The thing?s chest had a gaping hole where he had hit it earlier so it shouldn?t have been able to get back up and yet there it was, moving anyway. For a brief second he got the impression of something behind its left eye and without hesitation he fired. With a sickening jerk it came to a halt, shuddered and then fell silently to the ground. He ignored the stupid teenagers in favor of checking the rest of the Rots to make sure they were all down for good. The sound of footsteps as the group ran away reached his ears and he caught a flash of movement as the kids finally overcame their fear enough to run. With a sigh he stood up after checking the last one. It was time to go and get the clean up gear. Gasoline and a lighter would do the trick, at least there were no houses close enough for people to complain about the stench. ******************** Hunter-Net: New Post Thread: Rumor of Rots in Cemetery by Stokes Development. User: Searcher430 The hunt is finished so here?s a quick update on the rumor of Rots in the cemetery near the new housing development. Five hostiles dealt with and remains disposed of. One had an unusual strength which required blowing a hole through its left eye in order to take out since the usual shot to the heart did not do the trick. I hope this doesn?t mean the damn things are getting stronger. Indications in regards to kids going missing are true, confirmed via the sight. ******************** Jonathan finished his short post and then logged out of the Hunter-Net. He?d check the new stuff after he got cleaned up and rested a bit first. He got up and took a moment to grab a clean set of clothes and a fresh towel before heading into the bathroom. Maybe getting rid of the stench might restore his appetite too.
