I'm still in the phase of learning how to drive so I can get my permit next week. o_O Since I'll finally be sixteen this upcoming Sunday. [I'm so old.] Anyway, I won't be buying a car since I'm using my mom's car, an older white Chevy Impala, which unfortunately is way to expensive to fill up with gas. XP I want to get a job so I can start saving for my own though. I already know that if it's still running when I turn eighteen I'll probably get the Impala, but I'd rather get my own vehicle. Something smaller that doesn't go through gas like there's no tomorrow. >_>

Not quite the same as saying you don't read. Obviously you do or you wouldn't even be here responding on a message board where of all things... you read! Gaming What video game creature do you think a fellow member is like?

What you're looking for is Nall from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. I however do not believe in it and I find movies that portray it as if real irritating. Mainly because even though I know it's not real, I'm squeamish so I get grossed out easily. >_< It's annoying! Just to liven this up, just what type of love are we talking about anyway? I'd be curious to know. Now to answer the question (in general) I would say love is where you care about someone or something else enough that your actions reflect that. You are willing to sacrifice time you would normally spend on yourself for them instead. Because that level of action usually isn't something you would do for someone you don't care for on that level.

It's summer, our brains aren't working, and we're trying to entertain ourselves by discussing food. Sue us.:p
lolwut?!? Speak for yourself! I spend my summers reading as many books as I can get my hands on for entertainment. I never get tired of doing that. Anyway, I like pizza from time to time. I never get take out or delivery since it's too expensive. I do like having the stuff along with pita bread to whip together and heat like Sabrina mentioned. That's really tasty, with my favorite being pineapple and ham with sauce and cheese.

I am tempted to start making guesses as to how long Jared lasts since I imagine that it won't be anywhere as long as he's thinking he would. So I claim dibs on saying he cracks in four days! =P
Hey! That's what I would have guessed! *grumbles* Though considering who's in charge of the interrogation, perhaps I should claim dibs on saying he cracks in three days. :p So there! I say three days so therefore you are wrong Darren. *pokes* It would be creepy if I was right though.^^ Very, very creepy! o_O

I usually read the regular newspaper that we get. I also check out some online sites as well. I don't have a particular site I visit though, or rather that I faithfully check. Like Rach I love wrapping things up by reading weird news reports and comics. Some of those odd stories are the most fun to read. People do the dumbest things! lol

I stay fit by taking my dog on regular walks. I also keep fit by taking her on hikes during the summer. Sometimes I'll go swimming, but I love going on walks the best. There are some nice pretty trails along the river that are perfect for getting exercise for myself and my dog. It almost goes without saying; she loves the walks.

?You?re wasting my time.? Valencia yawned and then deliberately pushed her chair back a bit in order to put her feet up on the table between her and the two officers questioning her. ?I?ve already told you that the only person I?ll talk to is William. Surely you don?t need me to repeat that for the hundredth time.? She smiled inwardly at the flash of irritation in their eyes. Both of them, Stephen and Thomas were officers but it had taken very little on her part to learn their names and then refuse to address them by rank or honorifics. She was not a member of the New Alliance nor did she consider herself a member of the Versilan Empire. Valencia was a pirate and answered to no one. ?I?ve told you before Ms. Sabina,? the one called Stephen started to object, ?It?s?? ?Stephen.? She cut him off with a sardonic smile, dragging the name out slowly as if he was too stupid to remember his own name. ?I?ve told you before; I don?t answer to the New Alliance or anyone for that matter.? She folded her arms across her chest and shifted a bit to get more comfortable. ?Now since you seem to have a hard time paying attention and retaining information,? she elaborated ignoring how it brought a look of genuine irritation to his face before he could hide it. ?I will only talk to William got it?? Valencia pulled her feet off the table, unfolded her arms in one smooth move and leaned forward to address the pair. ?I grow weary of your stupidity. The longer you delay the more likely it is that Cassandra will self destruct before she?ll allow one of your idiotic technicians or engineers into her systems. Holding me here and attempting to get me to answer your questions is a waste of my time and yours. Unless you intend to resort to other methods to obtain the information you want, we?ll be here for years.? She leaned back and folded her arms again. ?Unlike children such as you, I have been working as a pirate for over a hundred years. I won?t be changing my mind and agreeing to talk to you, ever.? ?Now,? She put her feet back up on the table. ?Get out, go and inform your precious William that if he allows this pointless charade to continue the information he seeks will be forfeit.? Valencia closed her eyes and tuned out the attempts by the pair to talk to her further. She had allowed the pointless game to continue for a week, it was time to end it. Either William would get off of his butt and take care of matters himself or he would end up losing out on the information and Cassandra?s and her services as well. She had tried to patiently explain that they had better not attempt to get into Cassandra?s systems and that she needed to talk to William. But each day it had been the same, the two had kept having her brought to the room for questioning. They kept asking her the same questions again and again regardless of her refusal to answer them. It took a while for them to understand that she would no longer talk to them and she hid the smile when they finally gave up and gave the order for her to be taken back to her cell. She had given them more than enough time, if William didn?t show up and soon, she would play her hand. She hadn?t survived this long without having some form of back up.

?So, which area did you wish to see first?? Katelyn felt herself starting to flush again and fought it as she worked out a reply while wondering why he had even asked her. There were so many others there who were far prettier than she was? Katelyn shook her head a bit wondering why she was even thinking about something like that. It had been embarrassing enough that Miss Wells had assumed she was with him when she had only been entering the shuttle at the same time. She had tried to protest only to be startled by him remembering her name. The next thing she knew she had ended up sitting across from Miss Wells and discussing her plans for the future with her. Katelyn had not expected her to actually know the details about how she was on the Von Braun or about her parents. Katelyn shook her head slightly and answered the question, paying slight attention to what looked like a group of passengers from the Von Braun heading down the corridor in front of them. ?Perhaps the labs would be the best place to go to first?? She smiled nervously at Mr Ivanov who was waiting patiently for her to answer, ?At the school we never did care for people coming to check the place out, visiting the dorms without notice. So it might be better if we ask one of the crew here to show us.? ?That?s an excellent suggestion Miss Brennan.? He indicated the center passageway with a slight motion of his hand and the two started heading that direction. ?Katelyn, if you don?t mind.? ?I don?t mind at all, so long as you don?t mind Viktor.? He had a slightly amused look on his face. ?Isn?t that considered too forward?? Katelyn asked. ?It?s perfectly acceptable for one like?? She stopped as she realized that she was bordering on being rude. ?Not among friends it is not.? They continued to follow the passageway, the footsteps of others echoing back to where they were. ?You were called Miss Brennan by your teachers and most of your peers weren?t you?? Katelyn nodded, wondering how he knew just how formal the school she had been attending was. Was it the same for the schools where he was from? ?I don?t know about you Katelyn, but it is tiring to always be called Mr Ivanov or Sir. Don?t you think so?? ?Well yes but?? She didn?t know how to put it in words. Unlike him she was pretty much considered a nobody. She knew perfectly well the social status he held was way beyond someone like her. ?Consider it this way then, we are both passengers on the Von Braun and in that light it makes us equal. You earned your right to be here with your own skill instead of paying for the ticket like so many others.? He held up his right hand to pause the objection she was starting to voice. ?Katelyn you have more than earned the right to be here and I would be honored if you would call me by my first name.? ?Of course.? Katelyn stammered, she hadn?t thought of it in that light before. The only thing she had been seeing was how so many of the passengers were so obviously wealthy and privileged in comparison to her. The trip had still been fascinating and very enjoyable thus far, but that obvious difference had resulted in her wearing her school uniform for most of the trip. She had felt far more comfortable in it since it drew less attention to her than her plain clothing had. Further discussion was briefly halted as they finally came to an overview of what had to be the greenhouses for supporting the station. Both of them paused on the massive walkway that ran along the outer walls of where they had just come from. It was a very impressive sight and both of them stood there for a moment taking it in until it finally hit that the movement they were seeing was automated machines tending the fields. To the left was what looked like a garden for recreation further down, just as the growing fields were to the right. ?Where are all the people?? Katelyn was puzzled. She could see the garden with pathways and little benches and even further over what looked like a gathering area for having something to eat. But it was all empty. ?Perhaps they are at work.? That still didn?t explain why there was absolutely no one there. At the school she attended the cafeteria was closed at night, but at an outpost like this, she had expected them to work in shifts, just like the plant her parents had been at. She could understand people being at work, but shouldn?t those who prepare the food be there? It looked completely deserted. ?Maybe we could ask someone,? Katelyn pointed to where the food would have been served; there was something odd looking about it that from their vantage point she couldn?t make out. ?Good idea.? Viktor agreed as the pair made their way for the set of wide double stairs leading down. It took them very little time to make their way to the lower floor and through the tables to head over to where food was prepared. But when they got there, even though it looked like someone had been in the process of getting something ready, the place was deserted.

I had ramen before knowing it's relation to anime as well. It's okay as a snack, I don't really care for it as a meal unless it's more fancy with chicken or vegetables mixed in. I imagine the reason my mom gets it for us is because it's a really cheap and easy snack to fix. It certainly never gets used as a meal. I like homemade chicken noodle soup much better.

And it's because of a misunderstanding (of coarse) that I'm lossing another friendship.
Allamorph already covered it really well, but avoiding people who turn things int a drama fest has been the easiest way for me to avoid all the drama I see other friends going through. It has meant that I have less friends since others assume I'm being arrogant and snobbish when I refuse to join the bandwagon of ranting over silly things. I've been laughed at for refusing to take illegal drugs or join in the so-called fun of spreading secrets. But in the end those people weren't really true friends anyway and I'll take a handful of genuine smart friends who don't dramatize things over a whole class room of idiots any day.

Anime Anime Out of Context (image heavy)

Congratulations Allamorph! What I find the most amusing is how you ended up writing another poem even after the contest was officially over! :o Hehehe! But yes, you definitely deserve it, your poems were very well done.
