For instance, if you held an event where you had to tally votes, you might need to invest more time than usual.[/B] I?m usually able to be online every day. ^_^ I don?t really see extra time as an issue since I already invest a certain amount of time in extra activities here. It would simply be a matter of prioritizing what I?m currently doing so I think having extra work for an Event wouldn?t be a problem. [B]Are you happy to work with members to bring their event ideas to life?[/B] Actually I think that having member input is essential to the Event Master position. Not only does it improve the overall creativity and ideas, but it really makes it more community driven if people can submit ideas and have them worked out and run as an event. ^_^ I think having members involved will make the events even more fun and diverse. [B]List two of your own event ideas here. You will need to be able to bring your own events to OB, as member-driven events will not always be available.[/B] One idea I have would be a type of word scramble where I would take titles of say members, or threads and mix the letters up. Members would then have the chance to unscramble the letters and post what they think the answer is. For each round that someone answers correctly they would earn a point. It would be a mix of simple words and more complex ones that are harder since it?s more than one word. Another idea I?ve already been thinking about is a picture contest, but not for the best quality, but rather for the most amusing and creative content. For example one round members would be asked to submit say a diorama of something meant to represent OtakuBoards or say a part of the boards like the Theater. They would then take a picture of the diorama they made using a camera or a cell phone camera and post their entry. It would then be open to members to vote for the one they enjoyed the most. And though it?s not my idea, I think it?s important to follow up on the current events if possible and to continue with the Nifty Fifty since that?s such a great event in my opinion. I can?t imagine the boards without a great event like that since I look forward to it each year. [B]Are you going to be committed to the job? [/B] Yes. I?ve been looking forward to a suggestion thread ever since I did the Bermuda Triangle Mystery with indifference. It was a lot of fun making the banners and thinking of ways to make the clues different and interesting to search for. In fact the two ideas I presented are something I?ve been working on so they?d be ready to present once the thread for member suggestions went up. [B]Why should we make you Event Master?[/B] I can?t give a concrete reason other than I would do my best to come up with fun ideas and to work with members on their ideas too. [/FONT][/COLOR]

"[B]Well true, but I don't know what to do miss Naomi.[/B]" "[B]Oh that's easy.[/B]" Naomi said as she got up and started down the path again. "[B]We just get the hell out of this crazy place.[/B]" Charles just shrugged and followed along, wondering just how massive the gardens were as they continued on their way. He couldn't help but look back and wonder if it would have been better to stick to the buildings. At least there they would have had shelter and if it was like the previous city then they would have found food as well. It was at that moment that they heard a strange chirping sound, puzzled they looked at one another and then cautiously moved forward to see just what the sound was. It didn't take long to come to a brief overview of a small lake a little further down, but what they found was a serious problem. Naomi started to say something but Charles quickly covered her mouth, shaking his head. Then slowly they backed away until they were a good distance from the strange creatures they had seen. "[B]Just what were those things?[/B]" Naomi said in a tiny whisper. "[B]I've never seen anything like that before.[/B]" "[B]I don't know miss, but we'd best get back to the buildings to take shelter.[/B]" Naomi just nodded and moved back the way they had come as quickly and quietly as she could. They were almost there, literally passing by the statue that Naomi had shattered earlier when a scream was heard coming from the building. Both of them froze and then whirled around in surprise when the chirping noise they had heard before sounded again. To their horror the creatures they had seen before had taken to the air and were flying towards the building to see what the sound was. "[B]Quickly! To the building![/B]" Charles cried as the winged creatures flew towards the commotion. But the strangely bat like creatures were impossibly quick and zoomed in on his voice. Before either one of them had traveled more than a short distance, the creatures were upon them. With a scream Naomi instinctively changed the water in the small pond into spears of ice that flew towards the creatures, skewering them. But there were too many for her to stop them before she was knocked head over heels. Then with a horrible cry they attacked Charles, tearing him to pieces before she could react. With yet another scream of rage something inside Naomi snapped and the small lake itself rose into the air, off in the distance. The creatures hesitated, uncertain as to what was happening, and then it was too late as the water hardened into sections of ice and then flew with frightening speed to slam into the remaining creatures. Smashing them and crushing the few that remained. Naomi staggered to her feet to get a better view of what had happened to Charles. Even as she kept on top of what was going on, issuing orders to make sure that escape pods were picked up and debris from ships carefully searched for survivors, a part of her cringed every time a ship was destroyed or defenses that were manned were taken out. [I]If only we could have settled this without fighting. [/I]She thought sadly as yet another Battle Ship exploded, causing a tremor to run through the deck of the bridge. "[B]Commander, we're picking up several distress signals from escape pods that have landed on the surface of the planet. Should we retrieve the escape pods or leave them to the forces led by Sub-Commander Drace?[/b]" Crystal turned her attention back to the screens in front of her, reaching up briefly to touch the small communicator attached to her right ear. Keeping her connected with the others who were also overseeing the deployment of the medical forces. Then she tapped her chin with her right forefinger, deep in thought. [I]If I leave it up to that barbaric fool, they'll just kill whoever is in those pods.[/I] Decided she spoke into the small mic attached to the communicator she was wearing as it came down so it was partly along the side of her face. "[B]No pick them up immediately. Send teams four and five, I want the people in those escape pods retrieved before the troop transports land.[/B]" "[B]But what about the escape pods that we picked up heading out into deep space?[/B]" The chief doctor on the Conqueror asked her. "[B]I'm going to send the reserve teams out to retrieve them. I want those people picked up before the troops land on the planet![/B]" Crystal ordered firmly. "[B]Yes sir. I'm sending them there now.[/B]" Crystal watched in satisfaction as the teams deviated from their flight path that was taking them away from the battle and then back into the fray, neatly flying between the mess and avoiding the chaos that was going on. Most of the time ships broadcasting a medical signal were left alone, but it wasn't a guarantee. They had already lost one team early on when it had been caught in the explosion of a Battle Ship being destroyed. She sighed just a little bit, wondering just how many death reports she would be required to do once everything was said and done. And though she could see the logic behind why Sub-Commander Vallon Drace had been chosen, she did not agree with it. After her first encounter with him she had checked further into his service records. To say that he was violent would be an understatement. Drace did not take prisoners, Drace merely slaughtered the fools who stood in his way. It certainly explained why she had overheard others placing bets as to just how many he would personally kill in the upcoming battle. As a doctor, such a stance went against everything she had been trained to do, it was her job to save lives not destroy them. Crystal brought her attention back to the present, though she had kept track of everything just the same, multi tasking like that was a simple matter for her. The teams were returning from the surface with the escape pods, and not a moment too soon as it seemed that the first of the troop transports were landing on the planet. "[B]Start preparing the secondary teams, everyone.[/B]" Crystal announced, "[B]Once the troops on the main world have gotten in so far, we'll move in and start retrieving the wounded.[/B]" "[B]Understood, most of them are already standing by Commander.[/B]" "[B]Good.[/B]" Crystal replied. "[B]Also, start double checking the field for any stray pods we may have missed.[/B]" Crystal turned briefly from her station to look over to where Sandra was overseeing the battle and then she turned back to her own station. [I]If only this hadn't been necessary. [/I]She thought sadly. The moment they had arrived, she knew it was hopeless when she saw that the defenses there were outmatched. And it had pained her that they had refused to surrender, other than a few of the Battle Ships that is. [I]What could they possibly hope to gain by refusing? [/I]She sighed again as she started going through the incoming reports of the wounded and the dead.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Just cause you might not care doesn't mean that those artists who are rich don't. :p If they want their music to be free, once they are no longer under contract they can simply provided it themselves to the public. That's their decision to make not yours, not mine or anyone else's. The fact that they are rich is meaningless really, since they didn't start out rich, they got that way from working hard and those sales that people are now saying they can do without since they are rich. Seriously, if you're getting the music illegally then obviously you are stealing. I try to avoid downloading music since I know it's wrong. It is harder when it's something that you can't find or is overseas and way beyond the budget of a teenager like myself. But still, I do try to steer clear of doing any downloading. I'll use youtube to check things out to see if I would like it, but I don't look for sites that host the songs so I can download it. Though it helps that I'm not really into music a lot so it's easier for me to afford what I want since it isn't a lot. [/FONT][/COLOR]

"[B]Miss Naomi, No one is saying you hurt the kids that were with those two.[/B]" "[B]Honestly Charles, I just don't understand you.[/B]" Naomi stopped once she was outside the doors, limping over to a bench to sit down and rest her ankle. "[B]You heard that crazy woman, demanding to know what we did with the children. If they belonged to her, at that moment I would have hurt them, just to shut her up.[/B]" Charles did not get a chance to respond as Naomi continued, a combination of anger and fear on her face. "[B]You saw what happened. All I wished was that I could shove that woman into the fountain for being so arrogant and instead...[/B]" She bent over and covered her face with her hands. "[B]Something happened to me Charles... I don't understand what, but never have I felt such a powerful desire to simply smash whatever was in my way.[/B]" Charles sat down next to Naomi, but she got up and started heading down the path, brushing aside his attempts to comfort her. Pushing him away. "[B]Don't you understand Charles?[/B]" Naomi said as she halted briefly to look right at him. "[B]At that moment if it had been my ex-boyfriend standing in front of me, I would not have simply pushed him aside... I would have drowned him![/B]" "[B]You don't know that Miss Naomi![/B]" Charles tried to protest as he moved to catch up with her. "[B]Is that what you really think?[/B]" Naomi stopped and started at him in sheer disbelief. "[B]You're a slave Charles! People have been doing horrible things to your people for a very long time! How can you possibly say that?[/B]" "[B]It's just that...[/B]" Charles started again, but Naomi cut him off with a wave of her right hand. "[B]I'm quite serious Charles, if I still have this power when I see him again.[/B]" She looked around at the lush gardens they had walked out into, until finally she saw what she was looking for. A small pond in and some sculptures that were close to where they were standing. A moment later, though she still didn't know how it had happened, she focused on the water, sheets of it rose up before hardening into ice and then flying towards a sculpture. With a sickening crack it broke into several pieces. She turned back to look at Charles's face, "[B]That's what I'll do to that sick bastard as well as the other ones who beat on me and took what they wanted when I said no.[/B]" Naomi turned away and started limping along the path yet again. Feeling strangely tired. And yet strangely liberated at the same time. [I]Just you wait,[/I] she thought. [I]Once I get back Nathan... you are so dead![/I][/FONT][/COLOR]

And even though I have a queen sized bed and there is plenty of room, she always moves so that she's laying next to me. Most of the time it's no big deal, but every so often, like last night, she keeps moving and kicking me. She must have woken me up five times last night. >_< Sometimes our neighbors play loud music, but most of the time I can't hear it. Five posts and only two earned me any points. If it continues like this, no offense Sandy, it's no fun at all. Sorry, but that's how I feel about it. :animesigh Especially since I've become brain dead on how to even progress with this game. I'm wondering if the point system was a good idea or not at this point. Maybe it would have been better to make the point system a reward instead of a requirement.
