I'm assuming that he meant that all the switch cards have to be used. Either way I'll wait to find out since I just used mine. *evil grin* Now I'm going to go and hide since I just know my mom's eyes are going to pop when she realizes what I just wrote! XD Though the idea's weren't mine, I was just going off of what indifference had Deoky looking forward to doing to them if given a chance. :p *pokes indifference*

Deoky just smiled as the two fools headed towards him. Then just when they would have arrived at his location he surprised them by pulling back, carefully maneuvering and avoiding the traps to separate Clavis and the other fool Andrew from the three who had remained behind. Making sure that Lara never had a chance to fire at him, never giving her a clear shot and then smiling inwardly as he heard her cursing when she could no longer see him. He used a tiny bit of his power to listen to what the three were saying, even as he focused on drawing Clavis and Andrew further and further away in the enormous chamber. "I'm so useless," Davis was saying, a statement that Deoky agreed with as he listened to their conversation. "No you're not!" Both Lara and Eflair chimed in. "Even if you can't fight we would have never made it past some of the traps if you hadn't told us how to disarm them." So Davis knows how to disarm the traps does he? Deoky smiled, a plan already forming in his mind. He continued to listen. "Damn!" Lara was saying. "I've lost sight of Andrew, Clavis and Deoky!" "Wait!" Eflair cried, "We can't afford to be separated. So long as we stay together we stand a better chance." "You're right," Lara said. "Lets use that area over there, with three walls there's no way Deoky can come up on us from behind. He shows his face here and I'll blow his head off!" Deoky pulled his mind back from listening to their conversation, for now they could wait. Once he dealt with Andrew and more importantly Clavis he would take care of those three. Deoky continued the deadly game of cat and mouse until they were so far away from the others that even he could no longer sense them, or see Alden who had been calmly standing on his platform and doing nothing. He peeked around the corner he had been hiding behind to see both Andrew and Clavis approaching. "Took you two long enough to catch me," He taunted them as he took a step out and faced them. "Your evil ends here Deoky!" Clavis stated even as he began to prepare to blast him with his power that he possessed as a guardian. Deoky narrowed his eyes when he realized that Andrew's mind was closed. How is this possible? Uncertain he took a couple of steps back as Andrew approached with his blade drawn. "That's right Deoky, so long as Andrew is by my side your sick powers of persuasion will not work." And then Clavis launched his attack as tiny spears of darkness appeared and flew towards Deoky. Deoky managed to deflect most of them but a few connected, leaving tiny trails of blood running down his right arm. Furious he started to launch his own attack only to have to abort it to avoid being skewered by Andrew, who's speed was surprising. I need to separate them. Deoky thought even as he withdrew, barely missing a trap in his haste to escape the two of them. He had not expected Clavis to be able to protect Andrew's mind. I wonder just how far his power extends? Deoky thought. It was going to be much harder if all of the others were under Clavis's protection. I need to find out. As if in answer to that unspoken question Deoky found himself caught in the same blue beam that had brought him to this chamber, seconds later he found himself looking at both Davis and Lara who were staring at him in horror. ---------------------------------------------- Clavis and Andrew hesitated when a blue column of light enveloped Deoky and took him away, seconds later Eflair appeared. "What happened?" She asked, clearly confused. "I was with Lara and Davis!" "Damn!" Clavis swore as he realized that he could no longer sense either Davis or Lara. "We have to get back to the others before it's too late!" "Too late?" Andrew asked as they began to hurry back to where the others were. "Don't you see?" Clavis cried. "If Eflair is here then Deoky is with the others!" Horrified both Andrew and Eflair began to run as fast as they could. Hoping that they would get there in time. ---------------------------------------- Deoky didn't know what had happened but he was quick to act as he swiftly rushed them, knocking the weapon from Lara's hands and backhanding her into the wall, leaving her stunned as she fell to the floor. Then as Davis screamed in rage and charged him in an attempt to throttle him he backhanded him as well sending him flying into one of the walls as well. Eflair was no where to be seen. Deoky quickly checked the area, but no one was near their location. He could sense that the rest of them were still there. But not close enough for him to determine who they were. Deoky smiled. I'm going to get to have some fun after all! He thought. Slowly he walked towards Davis who was struggling to get back up. Deoky didn't give him a chance, pinning him against the wall. Enjoying the look of terror when Davis's eyes met his and realized that he was trapped and about to die. At this distance, Clavis's protection was easy to break and seconds later he was in Davis's mind. Brutally he stripped his knowledge from him, taking it for himself, heedless of the damage he was doing to Davis's mind in the process. Then he let go and watched as Davis fell helplessly to the floor, as the shock of his mind being raped overcame him. Deoky prepared to kill him and then stopped, smiling at the thought of what it would do to Clavis to come back and find Davis like that. He turned to Lara instead, who was just starting to overcome being stunned. The others, Clavis and Andrew were almost there, but Deoky could sense some traps in their way, traps that would keep them away just long enough for him to do what he had in mind. Before Lara could realize that he was there he knocked her back down to the ground, and then ignoring her struggles he took her right then and there, enjoying her screams of pain as he raped her. Then when he was done, he wrapped his hands around her neck and started to strangle her. Only to halt when his power warned him that the others were almost there. Regretfully he let go opting to quickly leave. As he left he saw Clavis, Andrew and Eflair who must have been somehow switched with him earlier as they hurriedly rushed to where the other two were. Deoky bowed mockingly in their direction before taking off. Oh how he would have loved to see their expressions when they realized just what he had done! He couldn't wait until he finished them all off and left. Deoky was really going to enjoy having his own Maze.
Well, part of the idea was that Lara would have woken up at some point (prolly not too long) and been freaking out or something, but i figured if I got too graphic I'd scare the kiddies (or, in this case, the mommies). I tried a minimalist approach, lol.
I don't know about it freaking me out, but then the only reason I've steered away from putting such stuff in is due to a certain 'mommie' LOL I think I'm going to end up having fun just the same since I have a positively wicked and evil idea for a post that would shake things up. And it's just to wonderfully evil to leave unused! Mwahahahaha! *runs off to work on her post*

Otakupedia Entries/Suggestions/Discussion thread
Aaryanna replied to Charles's topic in General Discussion
Okay, it could probably use more but here's an entry for my mom. :catgirl: Aaryanna_Mom first took an interest in OtakuBoards when her daughter became a moderator on 03-07-06. Initially she only read the posts and kept an eye on the boards out of a parental concern for her daughter?s online activities. Just over three months later Aaryanna persuaded her to join on 06-15-2006 as she was sure she would like it. And so she did, participating in many of the discussions. She also showed an interest in the welfare of the boards when she started the thread: Community Events Suggestion in the suggestion and feed back part of the boards clearly showing a genuine interest in the community as a whole. She quickly became well liked since as Desbreko put it in the Nifty Fifty event: As cool as it is just to have a member's mother join OtakuBoards and become an active poster, Aaryanna_Mom also adds new insight or a new point of view to many threads she posts in. It's apparent that she can see more than one side of an issue, and though she speaks her mind and stands behind her beliefs, she always argues in a non-abrasive way. Even if you don't agree with her, it's hard not to like her. Aaryanna_Mom is mostly seen around the boards in the Arena area participating in the various RPG?s as well as participating in some of the more general discussions in the Otaku Lounge. Darren's choice surprised me too. I was figuring that either Davis, Deoky or Clavis was going to die. Especially once I started reading the post. As for starting tomorrow vs Sunday. Makes no difference to me, either one is fine. I know I'll be looking forward to the final round. At least I assume the next one is the final round. :catgirl:

Awww!!! No fair! I wanna dual death card! I wanna! I wanna! :bawl: And since I've already used my death card this round you all know that I didn't get one. *pouts* As for that last post indifference. o_O Oh dear, Deoky is definitely one mean little ****! First twisting the two to his will, and then taking Rebecca before sitting there and watching them die slowly. *shudder* I definitely wouldn't want to meet someone like him! XD If I still had a death card I'd kill him! lol And now that it's looking like there will only be five characters left, four if Darren has a dual death card as well. Even if each person had once character left there's no way all of us would still be in the game. So now I wonder how many of us has no characters under their belt as DB put it.

Ouch! Yes, it's alright for you to post! I guess I should've left out the domination-part out of the rules since everybody's misunderstanding it. It doesn't mean you have to post exactly the same amount as everybody else, and I'll surely give you a heads up if I see you posting excessively. Also, domination of the story requires more than just posting frequently.
Oh I don't know if you should have left it out. After all it's not often that I have a reason to poke you. :D But now that you've cleared that up I'll probably work on a post when I get home from school since I've got some fun ideas. :catgirl:

I don?t know about you guys, but even though we have a new twist with the Principal of the school missing and the Titans have been doing an excellent job of working with our characters, I?m worried that posting again, especially since the LOL?s have only posted once since the new twist and the Argo?s haven?t posted at all, would make it appear that we are dominating the field. Something that Sandy clearly told us not to do. So even though I?ve got some good ideas, unless you guys think I should post. I?m going to hold off for now.
I was thinking the same thing, since I'm eager to post again. But if no post goes up from team Argo in the next couple of days or Sandy puts up a new twist, then as far as I'm concerned it's probably fair game for posting again. Though I suppose we could always poke Sandy with a spork to be sure. :p

Personal harem XD I love it!
Hehe! I'm glad you liked it. :catgirl: Villains are so much fun! I wouldn't want to meet someone like Doeky in real life though. XD
I wholly agree. Rach has managed to take Labyrinth into a whole new level, which was only expected. ;D
Oh, my that's so true and so is what indifference said, about how Rachmaninoff had a good idea to build from. Good lord! This is fun!
Personally, I think it's really coincidental that Clavis and Deoky were created at the same time. They're perfect opposites and they make the other characters turn against each other... I think if they stay alive, the story could get pretty interesting. But that's just my opinion. :D
I think what's most interesting about those two is that they were most likely created by two different players who had no clue what the other person was creating. It's like somehow they created characters who would really make the game interesting without realizing that they were doing so. Hehe! And seeing that you talk about how the two of them staying alive would make things interesting, that has me wondering if your sights are set on either Deoky or Clavis as your intended target. I know I'm curious to see who you finally kill. As well as who indifference takes out. Since for all we know both of you or one of you just might have a dual death card! XD Which by the way....*pokes Rachmaninoff* I still want one of those! :bawl: And now that I'm done putting Clavis, Davis and Eflair in a sticky situation, I'm off for school.

Eflair knew that Clavis spoke the truth. Even though he was not a true telepath like her, just one touch on his mind, even if she could not read his thoughts was enough to assure her that his soul, unlike Deoky's was pure. And though it saddened her that both Jennifer and Ambellina had died, she had not really liked them. They both were kind in their own way and yet both of them had a selfish streak in them that she had found distressing as well as their strong willed personalities that had no problems with overriding others to fulfill their needs first. But Clavis was different. And when he explained, when asked, that he was a guardian where he came from it made sense. His power was designed to protect and help others from people like Deoky. Eflair sighed to herself, despairing that they would ever get free. Even more so since shortly after Clavis had arrived Lara had also been taken by the blue light. She hoped that it had not sent her to Deoky. One such as he would have no qualms about crushing her mind to suit his own needs. It was what she had been worried about when Deoky had been with them. And she could only imagine that the reason he helped her before was because her ability to heal was useful. "Hey!" Davis said suddenly, "Cheer up a bit Eflair! You don't know that Lara was sent to Deoky and the others. She could have easily been sent back home." "You don't believe that and you know it." Eflair stated. "Even if he does not," Clavis chimed in as they continued through a set of joining rooms. "Dwelling on such negative and unhappy thoughts are not healthy. Also, even if she has, just as you can heal wounds of the body, I can heal wounds of the spirit. Especially those created by darkness." "Wounds of the spirit?" Davis asked, clearly intrigued. "Just as wounds of the body hurt and damage, leaving scars, so does messing with the mind and soul of said body. If left untreated, like the acid that claimed the life of Liam, it eventually eats away at what is left until there is nothing left. Usually those such as Deoky will strip a person's mind until only what they want is left." Clavis ignored his two companion's gasps of horror. "That's...That's just sick! How could anyone do something like that to another person!?" Davis cried. "I wish I knew Davis. Still as a guardian, I posses the ability to restore what was destroyed since each part of a person's body and spirit holds the memory of who and what they are. So long as they live I can heal them." "Such terrible damage is part of why most telepath do not reveal who and what they are," Eflair chimed in. "It's too easy to accidentally damage those who are untrained or posses no gift at all. My people have been working on learning how to do what you can Clavis, though very few of my people can heal wounds of the spirit and even then we lack the ability to restore one so completely." Clavis shook his head, "Not many of mine can either. Only guardians can and sadly, there are very few of us since many have died protecting others from harm." "So how does one become a guardian?" Davis asked as they went through yet another set of doors. "I'm afraid that will have to wait." Clavis said grimly as he saw what was in the next room and the doors behind them vanished. What appeared before them was a room with stairs leading all over the place, even up the walls, twisting and turning in a manner so confusing that they could not tell which one to take to get to yet another set of doors that were in the ceiling no less. And right on cue from a grate in the middle of the floor, water began to enter the room, making it clear that if they failed to find the correct path in time, they would all drown.

When Crystal finally got the update indicating that the final resistance base had been destroyed as well as the news that both Jason and Celestia had been captured she finally understood just what had Stevens so distracted. The mission to take the final base had probably been underway when she was there for her meeting with him. She was glad that the final base had been dealt with as was most of her crew as many of them were still quite angry from when they had taken her prisoner. But she couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for both Jason and Celestia. Even if they were members of a lesser race both of them were in her opinion kind people. She closed the update and instead went back to the information she had gone over with when she talked to Stevens earlier. Crystal was fairly positive that they would approve her recommendations for better equipment and to that effect she had already drafted up a plan to implement the rest of the set up. She was sitting on the bridge when the chime of an incoming transmission sounded. Crystal paused and looked up as her second in command spoke. "Commander, there's an incoming priority one transmission for you." He paused as his voice took on a tone of surprise, "It's the High Council." "Send it to the conference room, I'll take it there." "At once Commander." Crystal got up and immediately headed for the conference room curious as to why they were contacting her instead if simply sending a message. She sat down at the table and activated the holographic screen in the middle, opening the communication. "How may I assist you?" She asked. "Commander Crystal, we have reviewed the report on the genetic remains from the disaster in sector seven. In order to make sure that there is no mistake you are to head to sector one immediately to do a more though investigation of the remains. We will have them waiting for you when you arrive." "What about finishing the medical facilities here in sector thirteen?" Crystal asked. "We figured you would ask this and have assigned the task of finishing setting things up to the crew of the Crimson who will be remaining at Earth. Please send any and all information to the doctor of that ship as your request for move advanced facilities that you presented to Stevens has been approved." They paused for a moment and then continued. "We expect you to be in route for sector one within one day Commander. Any other questions will be answered upon your arrival." Crystal knew a dismissal when she heard one. "Very well then, as soon as I send the information to the Crimson and retrieve those of my crew who are currently on Earth we will leave immediately." A moment later the High Council terminated the transmission. What in the world is going on? She wondered. Do they have other remains for me to look at? Because unless they had withheld information, there wasn't anything to check for mistakes. She sighed as she pulled up the information for the medical facilities and prepared a report and sent it to the doctor over on the Crimson, waiting only long enough to get a confirmation that they had received it and would take care of it. Then she went back on the bridge and issued the order for all personal to return to the Tempest immediately before finally contacting Stevens who answered her promptly. "Ah Crystal, I thought you might contact me. I already know that you have been reassigned to sector one. Finish recovering your crew and then get going. I will see that replacements for those you recalled are taken care of." "I see, I take it that you will also make sure that the medical facilities are taken care of as well?" She asked him. "I have already authorized everything, by the time you arrive in sector one, construction will have already began." "Very well, Crystal out." Then she turned to address her crew. "All right you've gotten the order for everyone to be recalled. As soon as it's verified that all personal are on board you are to set a course for sector one immediately." Then a few hours later, the Tempest broke orbit and began to head away from Earth, once it was far enough away, the ship shimmered and seemed to vanish as it made the jump to hyperspace. Mwahahahaha! Now that I've had my fun with Deoky I am content. I was worried that someone will kill him off before I got to do what I had in mind, since I just had to put poor Rebecca in his clutches! :catgirl: Hehe. I just love all the little tangents going on in this, it's far more fun than simply killing off the characters and hoping to survive the current round. And now that I've had my fun the groups go like this: Group One: Eflair Davis Lara Clavis Group Two: Deoky Vanya Rebecca Group Three: Alden Hehe, poor Alden, he may have gotten laid but now he's all by his lonesome. XD
-
Alden and Rebecca continued their trek through the Maze, both of them giving each other occasional glances. It was unavoidable since both of them were still thinking about what had happened. Though Rebecca still was unaware that they had been drugged and that Alden had saved her from being crushed. All she knew was that once they were free from this horrible place she intended to stick with Alden for a while. It wasn't often that she found someone who was as good at pleasing others as she was. She was use to men who though they wanted her and were willing to shower lavish gifts on her, they were far from experienced at showing her a good time. Just thinking about what Alden had done to her was still giving her delightful shivers. Rebecca smiled at him when he glanced her way, she was most definitely going to stick with him for a while. But then a column of blue light enveloped her and other than to see Alden's startled look she didn't have time to react as she found herself in a new location all together. Two people staring at her with surprise. "Vanya?" She said hesitantly and then with a shriek of joy she launched herself at Vanya and hugged her. "I'm so glad to see that you are all right! I was worried that the collapsing walls had gotten you!" Vanya pulled free of her, "How can this be? I saw you die!" "It must be the horrible creators of this place!" An unknown voice spoke in Rebecca's mind. Startled she turned to face the man who was with Vanya, he was so beautiful that at first she had thought he was a woman. And how had he spoken to her in her mind? "I don't understand." Rebecca finally said. "It's simple child, when I first came here I was with others too. When I was taken by the blue light as you were, I saw those I was with dying before my eyes. And since I have seen from Vanya's mind how you died and from Lara's mind how Alden died it is clear that dark sorcery is at work here!" "Alden's dead?" Rebecca said tears coming to her eyes. "I do not know, what I saw in Lara's mind where he died was before Alden was with you. But one thing is clear." Deoky said his mind racing as he took the appearance of the lovely Rebecca into account. "Someone is toying with us and I think that Clavis is responsible." He smiled inwardly at Vanya gasp of surprise. "But didn't Clavis try to save Liam?" Vanya said. "I was waiting for the right moment to tell you, but when the section of the floor Liam was standing on fell and he reached for Clavis's hand, he pushed him away, letting that poor boy fall to his death." Deoky carefully used his power on their minds, inserting the image of Clavis shoving Liam into Vanya's memories, making her believe that what he said was true. A moment later he had her as she believed what he had just told her. That the fake memory he had planted was real. "My God!" Vanya exclaimed. "It happened so fast that I didn't realize what I had seen. How could he?!" Confused Rebecca looked at the new person wondering just who he was when his voice soothed her mind speaking only to her. "Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner, I am Deoky, and I promise to do my best to protect both you and Vanya from that horrible Clavis." Vanya was angry. "I should have known that Clavis was lying. I'll make sure he regrets killing Liam and the others." "Don't worry," Deoky said. "I'll help you, we'll make sure he doesn't get away with what he has done. There's no telling how many innocent people he has brought here, killing them to satisfy his own dark desires." Once again he exerted a bit of his power, this time bending Rebecca to his will inserting the feeling that he was trustworthy and truly cared about them, smiling to himself when he felt it take place and her expression changed to one of trust. This was perfect! Far better than those he had been with before. Having Clavis taken away only to be replaced by someone far more suitable was ideal. First he had made sure that the freak Liam had been taken care of. Never mind that it had been he who shoved him away and not Clavis who had tried to save him. But even more irritating had been the fact that Clavis was immune to his influence. Deoky had been unable to affect his mind or to even read his surface thoughts either. Clavis had been a real threat as he was better trained than Jennifer and Eflair. But now, Deoky smiled at the two women who were with him. Vanya would make a good shield should the need arise and if it didn't he would make sure she did not leave this place alive. Even if she could be molded to his will she was obviously a warrior of some type as her hands and body were calloused and use to hard work, making her totally unsuitable for his needs, but Rebecca. She was far more suitable with soft skin, generous curves and graceful movements, as well as being quite beautiful. Provided he didn't need someone else to sacrifice to the maze, he just might take her with him when he left. He could always use a new addition to his personal harem. -------------------------------------

It seems that no one has been playing with Alden and Rebecca, so I just did, even if that rather nasty trap failed to kill them. And having Alden the type to use drugs to have his way with women just seemed like a nice twist for someone who is a criminal. Also, you might want to fix your post Sandy since you forgot that Liam was also with Clavis and Vanya. And I see that everyone seems to enjoy playing with Deoky. But then who doesn't like to play with a villain right? Provided he's still alive I know I will be sure to do so later today. lol
Play with them? I think my mom's eyes are gonna pop when she reads your post! XD I know mine did, I was expecting you to whip out a dual death card and kill both of them while they were *cough* preoccupied so to speak. What with the drug you mentioned that was in the air.. And isn't Alden just the nicest guy? [/sarcasm] Slipping drugs into his dates drinks and all just to take advantage of them! Eww! Hehe, Deoky is fun isn't he? Which brings me to another point...Curse you Sandy! :p I had some fun ideas to write up where Deoky was tormenting both Lara and Davis and you wreaked it by moving him. Now I'll have to think of some new ones and hope he's still alive when I get home from school. XD

I'm envious! I want a dual death card! *pouts* Still a guardian and an evil warlord? *giggles* I just had to play with the evil warlord. You all know that right? Mwahahaha! And now Jennifer is dead. *still wants a dual death card*

Deoky Shilos, Warlord of the Belagosi Cosmos was already calculating and plotting just how to get rid of both Jennifer and Eflair. Both of them had powerful magic much like he did and were strong willed, totally unsuitable in his opinion. But even more grating on his nerves was the aura of kindness that they possessed. They would never willing obey one such as he, Doeky had not become a Warlord by being kind. Ideally getting rid of Jennifer first would work best since Eflair, though powerful was timid and easily frightened. Something that was obvious in the way she moved cautiously forever glancing at Jennifer for approval as well as for her to tell her what to do. Pathetic! He thought. Even if Jennifer was not around, even if Eflair too could be bent to his will, he would rather stick to the other two who due to their inability to keep him out of their minds would serve him far better. And in the end he did not care for Eflair, unlike Lara who was at least pretty in an innocent way. He was already imagining how much better she would look properly attired. He continued, boldly taking the lead, trusting in his power to warn him of traps when the group came to another underground cavern, one that had two possible routes they could take. Deoky was positive that one had to be a trap, but even with his power, other than to sense it, he could not tell which direction was safe. He came to a standstill. "One of the paths before us leads to death," he said. "Perhaps we should go back and look for another route." But even as he thought it the path they had just come from collapsed with a rumble of dirt and rocks. "It seems that what ever brought us here intends for us to go forward." Davis moved forward but not quite into either passage way. "Well as far as I can tell, this one looks a lot like a route leading into an Egyptian tomb. I can clearly see the symbols on the walls." He said indicating the path to the right. "The other path I haven't a clue since though it is of a much more advanced material with the metal walls, I do not recognize the technology behind the panels in the ceiling. I don't know what to recommend since even though I know that an Egyptian tomb is loaded with lethal traps to prevent thieves from entering. The other path could easily be a trap as well." "What do you think Jennifer, Eflair?" Deoky asked slyly. Jennifer glanced at Deoky as if looking for what he was up to while Eflair almost hid behind her. "I think that since Davis is at least familiar with the Egyptian path, since he is familiar with the type of traps it would have it would be best to take a route where we have at least some knowledge instead of blindly going down another route." "And you Eflair?" Doeky asked. "Surely you don't need Jennifer to make your choices for you?" He grinned at Jennifer's angry expression. Eflair backed away a bit before answering. "My power works better when it is surrounded by nature. The walls of the Egyptian passage though foreign are at least still in tune to the nature of the ground they were made from." She straightened up a bit taking on a bit more confidence. "I can sense nothing from the other path, but this one, I can and at least initially there is no traps." "Very well then, shall we get going?" Deoky started down the path of the stone walls the others closely following him. Both Jennifer and Eflair were cautiously watching him but the others, especially Davis kept asking him questions. Until they came to a huge inner chamber with tiles up above swirling sand, tiles just big enough for a single person to stand on. There were dozens of the tiles all across the swirling sand and on the other side was a ledge with the door leading to the next area. And when the corridor behind them was closed by a door that swiftly shut it was obvious that they were expected to jump from tile to tile until they got to a platform on the other side. Lara just groaned. "Lovely, now we have to get to the other side. And I'm sure that falling into the sand is not a good idea." A thought that was confirmed when movement was seen on the other side as something was moving in the sand. At that moment the section they were standing on began to sink. "Damn!" Davis cursed as he quickly jumped to the first tile. Turning briefly to see that the others had done the same. As quickly as they could they all began moving from tile to tile, heading for the other side. Eflair was struggling and nearly fell into the sand when Deoky who was right next to her reached out gave her just enough support to keep her from falling. Eflair looked at Deoky with surprise, of all people she would have never expected him to help her. But then she had no time to think as movement caught her eye. One of the creatures in the sand was heading towards her. As quickly as she could she continued. Jumping to the ledge on the other side at the same time Deoky did, barely escaping the tentacle that reached from the sand to pull her down. Then they turned to watch the other three, Davis and Lara were almost there as well and then they too jumped from the tiles to the platform, Jennifer right behind them. But just as Jennifer jumped to make it to the safety of the ledge to the horror of the others, except for Deoky who smiled cruelly, the tentacle that had nearly gotten Eflair shot out of the sand wrapping itself around Jennifer and swiftly pulled her under the sand before she could even scream. "No!" Davis screamed even as he desperately moved to try and grab her. But Deoky quickly caught him pulling him back. "You can't help her!" Deoky snapped. Then before anything else could happen, horrible muffled screams from under the sand could be heard and then a terrible tearing sound. Seconds later blood began to creep up staining the sand with a dark crimson red color, and then the monster that had torn Jennifer to shreds reared it's head. It was some type of giant worm with a huge mouth surrounded by tentacles, ones that still held parts of the now dead Jennifer. "Damn you!" Lara yelled as she pulled out the gun she had and fired. The blast knocked her off her feet at the same time that it tore the the sand worm apart, showering all of them with both parts from the body of the worm as well as Jennifer. "Quickly! Into the other room before the other one attacks!" Deoky urged them. He pulled Lara to her feet and shoved her in the direction of the door before turning to grab Davis as well. Eflair was already running for the door and beat the others through it. Then shortly after Lara went through, Doeky followed with Davis. The door slamming shut just as another set of tentacles reached for them. Deoky waited patiently while the others recovered from the shock of Jennifer's death. Giving them a moment to compose themselves. Even Eflair kept looking at him with confusion since he could tell she did not understand why he had saved her. But then the easiest way to fell an opponent was to make them think you were trustworthy or at the very least that you intended them no harm. And until he found the right moment to deal with her, she would be useful with her healing ability. Unlike Jennifer who would never have dropped her guard around him. He smiled inwardly yet again. Things were going even better than he could have hoped for. When the teacher announced that the Principal, Alexander Moebius was missing, Bethany could no more concentrate on her lessons than anyone else. Much to the chagrin of the teacher. Every possible second that the teacher's attention was elsewhere resulted in low whispers and manifestation of people's powers, since some were easily excited resulting in a loss of control. Rumors via telepathy and other means quickly spread and possible scenarios as to why the Principal would be missing were discussed. The one that stuck in Bethany's mind the most was one that principal had last been seen arguing with a student. It was maddening since no one seemed to know who and names were being thrown out left and right. Until finally the teacher got angry snapping at the students. "That's enough!" He bellowed. Startling everyone as the room became completely quiet. "If you can't be bothered to pay attention I'll give each one of you extra assignments for later." Bethany just snickered a bit. After all what did the idiot expect? If he wanted them to pay attention, the teachers should have waited until after classes were over to tell them. She resisted the urge to alter the temperature of the wood of his chair and set it on fire. This teacher, Mr. Davis had always annoyed her with his ever so prim and proper approach to teaching them math. Math was boring enough without him making it even more so. It wasn't easy, but she damped her power down since Mr. Davis had been in a bad mood since a student levitated milk over his head and dropped it on him. The other students wouldn't thank her for putting him in an even more foul mood. She sighed and shifted her attention back to the teacher, or rather just looked at him. Then finally after what seemed like forever they were finished with both Math and the remaining classes. The moment they were out the door Bethany grabbed Alexandra's and Kathy's sleeves. "We need to find Shy." "What for?" Kathy asked. "He can read minds right? If we can find out who was arguing with the Principal he would be able to tell if they did anything or not right?" "What makes you think someone did something to him?" Sergei asked her. "Someone has to have done something!" Alexandra reasoned. "Even if he's an annoying dork, he'd never leave the school. He practically lives here. And if he just left, why would the teachers say he's missing?" "Right!" Bethany agreed. "Lets go find Shy or some of the others, we should find Anna too since she could probably listen in on the teachers when they think we aren't around." She started to head off and then stopped. "Uh, if that's okay with you guys that is." She said, smiling a bit sheepishly when she realized that she had just bossed all of them around. "Oh I don't know," Alexandra said, hiding a grin. "Seems to me that you just want to check out Shy, as well as Ezekiel and Cody since they tend to hang out with Anna. Still I can't blame you, they are kind of cute after all." Bethany started to protest and then glared at Alexandra who giggled at her. "I'm just kidding! Lets go and find them." "Yeah," Sergei agreed. "Not that we really need their help." Bethany just smiled. "Of course not." ----------------------------- OOC: Just thought I'd leave it open for the other teams to run into ours and work together a little bit. Or not. :p

Yeah, I was just talking about the kids. Since oscarX used the word 'kids' and not 'adults'. You're arguing over something that was never presented.
Not exactly since online dating was originally meant for 'kids' ^_~ My argument is that it has become far more than just for kids. And my statement that even if it is kids it's not pathetic, still stands.

Crystal was suppose to be going over the plans for the rest of the medical facilities to be built in the US with Stevens. Even with the attacks that had been carried out those that were already built had been left alone and both Australia and the UK were finished. But the US was a lot bigger and had a much higher population. So long as they kept most of the citizens there, it would require nearly three times as many facilities. The rest of the world did not matter since everyone who would not be staying would be shipped off within the next three months. If not for the delay caused by the attacks in sector four, six and seven, it would have been close to being finished already. But when Crystal arrived at the Conqueror and entered the observation room, it was to find Stevens preoccupied, watching Earth as they slowly orbited around the planet. In fact he didn't even seem to notice her until she spoke, startling him a bit. "Ah, Crystal," Stevens said as he turned to face her. "Sorry about that, I was thinking about something." He gave her his full attention. "So what did you need?" What do I need? Crystal thought with surprise. Surely he hasn't forgotten our meeting? Has he? "I'm here to discuss the supplies needed to finish building the medical facilities in the US remember?" She reminded him. Stevens chagrined expression was all that she needed to know that he had forgotten about it. "Of course," he nodded and indicated the conference table in the room even as he went over to take a seat. Waiting for her to take one first. "Now, what exactly are you going to need?" Crystal pulled out her hand held computer and tied it into the terminal located in the table, pulling up a holographic display with all the information. Then she carefully explained just what was needed since Stevens had told her that he wanted a more detailed report to explain a bit as to why the facilities on Earth required more advanced and expensive equipment than other occupied worlds did. It was something that didn't really require her to actually explain in person, but Stevens still insisted that she explain it in person as well as write up a report. And she did so, going into detail about how the people on Earth had severely damaged their own genetics by poor management and lots of harmful chemicals used for all sorts of things. As a result treating them so that they would be healthy enough to actually serve the empire required far more extensive and expensive procedures than it did for worlds that had not distorted and destroyed their genetics. It didn't take her long but when she was finished she realized that on some level Stevens was tuning her out. "Stevens! Pay attention!" Crystal said sharply. Annoyed that he was allowing something to divert his attention from the information that he had requested. He looked back at her and then with an impish grin recited everything she had just gone over. "My attention may have wandered, but I did listen enough to get everything you just told me." "It's still considered rude to stare off into space when someone is explaining something to you, especially when the person requested the information." Crystal said still annoyed. "You are quite correct Crystal," Stevens said as he downloaded a copy of the report. "My behavior was quite boorish and I only hope that you can forgive me for it." He gave her yet another one of his mischievous grins. Crystal closed the report and shut down her hand held computer before folding her arms and giving Stevens a stern glance. "Perhaps you could explain to me just what has you so preoccupied?" "I'd love to Crystal," Stevens said as he stood up, "But until I get further information that isn't possible." Crystal stood up as well, "I hope you get it soon then since it is not like you to actually forget a meeting with someone." "So do I Crystal," Stevens said as the chime indicating there was a message sounded. "Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do." She nodded and left, if there was one thing Crystal knew, Stevens would tell her nothing until he was ready to do so and even then if it was something that she did not need to know, he simply would not tell her. But she had to admit, something that had Stevens distracted enough to actually forget a meeting had to be something big. He was not the type to leave anything undone let alone a simple meeting. And even though she was not keen on following developments with in the military that did not directly affect her. Crystal knew she would make a point of asking him about it later. She wanted to know just what in the world could distract Stevens like that.

OKAY ILL MAKE ANOTHER EDIT OF WHAT I MEAN
It's not necessary to edit the original post you know, you can simply explain what you mean by adding another post. Also, please do not use all caps since that's the same as shouting online. ^_~
-

OKAY i made the edit im not talking like eharmony or perfect match
So you made the edit, so what? It's still the same, unless the kids, and you didn't specify what age you meant here, are we talking about teenagers or preteen? Anyway so long as they are old enough to date why should it matter how they decide to meet people? Again there is nothing pathetic about using any and all resources to meet people with similar interests since the dangers of meeting someone who would take advantage of you is the same. Or rather meeting them in the real world instead of online is no guarantee that they wouldn't be a sex offender or something worse.

Actually, I'm going to agree with oscarX because of the keyword 'kids'. As in, a couple of 13-year-olds who think they have a special special something because they both like the same anime. Nothing against online dating, it's just that a lot of it is a pathetic case of teens who want a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Actually I'm going to disagree. Online dating may have started as a thing for the young, but it's since become far more that. It's moved way past being a thing for 'pathetic teens' looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend. A quick look here: Article Shows that sites like PerfectMatch.com (63 percent are 35 to 60) is not just teens. And this site: PrimeSingles.net, is a 50-plus site whose membership grew 39 percent in 2005. That's quite a few people who are not 'teens' The whole thing is a fast growing industry especially when according to JupiterResearch, 15 percent of Internet users between the ages of 45 and 54 browsed dating sites in 2005. It might be a bit sad that a teenager feels that to get a date they need an online dating service. But to claim all online dating services are pathetic or online dating in general without really understanding just who uses a service or tries to date someone online is an over generalization at best. Personally I have no interest in them, but I'm not about to make a broad uninformed statement that those who do use an online dating service or that the service itself is pathetic. And I don't think someone who considers online dating pathetic either. Perhaps in the case of the 'kids' too young, but hardly pathetic. ^_~

Actually I find the idea of anime crushes rather interesting since I've yet to have a crush on a real boy let alone an anime one. ^_~ However I do have characters that I adore, but it's more like what others have said, an admiration of the creation of a character that can make you laugh, look cute and even remind you of people you know. And thinking some of them are hot are in my opinion no different than admiring other forms of art. If it's beautifully done, you like it. But in no way do I want or feel any desire to attempt to know them (since they aren't real) or even the creator for that matter. So I like them but have no feelings beyond that. Personally I think people can get so caught up in how reading a good manga or watching a show with a character that they feel connected to means you must like them on a level that isn't possible. What it really does in my opinion is it touches your feelings and emotions but that's really more of an indication that the person behind the story or animation is skilled at what they do.
yeah it starts really getting creepy when they crush on the character so much they start looking at yaoi and yuri etc.
Actually I think that's a faulty assumption. I've peeked at both yaoi and yuri material and that was before I even got into anime. Where I live that sort of stuff is considered very, very bad so it was only natural that I was curious about it. Mind you I'm talking about the more soft material and not hard core, though I can't think of the name for it right now. But in the end, I'm sure lots of people are into both and have never had a crush on an anime character.

When Crystal starting going over the scans of the genetic material found from the blast in sector seven, it surprised her to find out that the material was from some form of plant and not from a Versilan or one of the lesser races. The remains were nearly distorted beyond recognition due to the nature of how powerful the explosives were, but there was no mistaking a couple of the markers. The genetics were definitely from plants. Something that the person who had left brief notes on it indicated. This confused Crystal since it made no sense why Stevens wanted her to even take a look. Until she pulled up the information on the planet in sector seven. The harsh volcanic environment was fairly barren and those who had originally decided to build the facilities there for building parts for ships and other computer equipment had installed huge air processing plants that put out a thin layer of oxygen, just enough that exposure to the outside would not be lethal. Since there was no vegetation on the world in question. It was rather fascinating but in the end there shouldn't have been any plants in the facilities that were blown up. Those who were required to work there lived in dorms built on the moon, they were transported down at need and then back again. Though those dorms were now empty as the slaves had been moved elsewhere since the facility was not designed to hold all of them at the same time. Still the point was that if there were any plants to be found they would have been in the living quarters on the moon not in the facilities where they worked. It was quite puzzling and she continued to isolate the few remaining markers as well as putting together those that were a likely match. Again she hit a wall since though the other person had noted that the genetics were from a plant, they had not bothered to try and identify the plant. And a moment later she understood why. Based on the most likely combinations the plant in question was artificially created. It was used for all sorts of materials, including the very explosive that had destroyed the facility. As well as all sorts of medical treatments. It was widely used and knowing about it didn't help narrow down the search. Crystal was preparing to write up a report and send it to Stevens when she decided to look a little further to identify the markers for the plant. But she couldn't find all of them, in the end she could only say that she was about eighty percent certain that it was indeed the plant in question. Until a thought crossed her mind and she pulled up some information and then went back to what she had. What she found surprised her. The markers did not exist since the remains was from the plant, not from an artificially created one. Distorted or not there could be no mistake and that plant was only grown on one world, or rather use to be before making it artificially became possible. Even with their technology some things just did not grow elsewhere and this plant was one of them. There was only one world in sector seven where it could be grown. Crystal wrote up her report for Stevens, detailing her findings. It had taken her several days to put everything together, but she was fairly certain that without examining the remains directly there wasn't much left for her to do. Who ever had looked at the material before had assumed the lack of markers was due to being distorted by the blast. Instead of an indication that it was the real deal. If she was correct, it would make tracking things down easier since the grown plant material was far more valuable than it's artificially created counterpart. The records for what it was used for would be a lot simpler to sort though. And it probably wouldn't hurt for them to check out the planet where they were grown either.

Good grief Crystia! Are you trying to give me nightmares? *shudder* That was awful! Poor Alden! *shudders again* Anyway...I have killed off Gustaff Maldrachen. Hehe, not as graphic or gory but he's still quite dead. Now all I need to do is survive for the next round. Mwahahahahaha!
