Well I finally got to see this movie the other day and boy was I impressed! I had seen the other superman movies but to be honest I wasn?t all that impressed with them and Lois Lane, blech! I absolutely detested her character in the other movies. So when I heard about this movie I was not planning on seeing it. But one of my friends did and she told me that it was really good and that even I would like it and she was right! I loved how it started off after the other movies and yet for the most part previous events were not a factor. Well other than
Lex Luther still being a major villain that is. Before he was just a funny villain and I liked how they made his character a bit more on the darker side this time around.
Even more surprising is I actually liked how they did Lois Lane! I really liked how they kept certain aspects of her character and yet did away with the more annoying selfish, whiney bratty aspect of her personality. It was like they took the essence of what she was suppose to be like and left the other stuff behind. Though I suppose that?s just personal opinion. ^_~ I just found her extremely annoying in the other movies. The other thing I really liked was the special effects. I think they did an excellent job with them. Especially the scene where
a bullet bounces off of his eye.
^_^

Well if we are talking about people then it would have to be my mom. Even though I know I drive her batty, she really tries to understand me and she?s always been there for me. We also have shared interests in that we both love to read, watch movies together and even anime. I can?t imagine my life without her as she?s the best mom in the whole world. ^_~ [/end of shameless suck up-even if it?s true] The other people would be my friends, I?m thinking of both Mariskah and SunfallE. They?ve both known me since I was a baby and in some ways we are so close that it?s more like we are family instead of just friends. ^_^ I can?t imagine my life without them either since I was a surprise baby so by the time I was nearly ten I was the only kid still living at home. So they were always there for me too. I probably spend as much time at their homes as I do at my own. ^_~ In fact people have often mistaken SunfallE as my mom since she has dark blonde hair and blue eyes like me. And last but definitely not least is my dog. [you knew that was coming right?] I absolutely adore her and now that she?s been with me for six years she?s definitely a part of my family. She always sleeps with me and the darkness or thunderstorms are never frightening because I know that she?s with me. She?s very, very affectionate and there?s nothing like coming home to see her jumping up and down because she?s so excited to see you again. ^_^

In general I really don?t understand the need to make a distinction between people who look different due to superficial things like skin, hair and eye color. Because in the end we are all humans whether we are black, white, Asian etc. There are going to be some differences, but most of those are due to the surrounding environment and social influences that people encounter due to where they were born and then raised. I come from a family that on one side they use to be plantation owners and had slaves before the civil war. And to this day many of those relatives still think they are better than other races and I just don?t understand that attitude. I fail to see how they don?t feel ashamed that their ancestors enslaved other human beings for profit and gain. Some of them are part of why my parents moved to Utah. They wanted to leave that kind of nonsense behind and raise me and my siblings in an environment where that type of racism didn?t exist. Though we ended up with the religious one of the major religion thinking they are the only one, but that?s another topic. If you are wondering, I am a blonde blue eyed white girl, but in no way does that make me any smarter or better than anyone else. Nor do I feel the need to be only with others similar to me. Anyway, what I?m trying to say is that though I respect your right to feel and believe the way you do BlueEyedAngel, I do not understand it and in all honesty I hope I never feel like you do. I much prefer the diversity that comes with being a part of all of humanity instead of just one little piece of it.

I also like how you can make your own food once you?ve invented it that is. Especially since some of the items only have a limited number go on sale once they?ve been developed and once you buy them they never sell them again. So it?s nice that you can create them whenever you want, provided you have the money that is.
I?ve been making food for my party since so far it seems to be the area they are the most successful at. I?m assuming it?s because there are some items you get later on that raise your success rate and if I understand the guide correctly I?m not to the point where you can get some of them. Like the hammer that makes your attempts to invent new armor and weapons more successful. I understand that I won?t be able to get that until disk two and I believe I still have a number of quests until I even get to disk two.
Well now that you put it that way?I have to play it! You?re a cruel kid...you know that right? ;)
:D At least you get to use several of the different costumes for battle right? If we are talking about the 4D level then you probably have at least three different outfits for your characters. I don?t know if I want to play that level of difficulty or not, but I definitely want to have the different costumes for battle! ^_^

Well seeing that this has already been discussed before and that my opinion has not changed, I?ll just re-post what I said before.
I actually like both. Unless the translation is horrible I prefer to first watch the dub so I don?t have to read while trying to watch the show at the same time. Then once I know what is going on I like to go back and then watch the sub to pick up on the differences between the two. Often, especially with a show like Fruits Basket, I end up having things I like better in both formats. Though for some of the shows that are edited to death like Sailor Moon, once I?ve seen the uncut sub version I can?t bring myself to watch the dub again. *shudder*
And there you have it. I still feel the same way and for the most part like both. Other than a few like Sailor Moon. I?m sure there are others that have poor translations, but I?ve yet to watch them. Or perhaps I should say I've seen others with bad translations, but not enough for me to totally dislike the sub version.

Stock photography, scans, or pictures are all fair game. So long as the picture has had minimal editing, for instance, someone else's art on the picture, it's usually considered a legit source. Don't underestimate the power of Google Image search to find textures. Search on Pixel2Life for tutorials on how to make custom brushes.
Thanks, I appreciate the info. ^_^ I looked for tutorials online, but I must not be using the right keywords as I didn't find very many useful links. I?ve been thinking of trying to make some abstract art just to see what I could come up with. I?ve yet to make a piece that has nothing but my own brushes and the only thing holding me back is actually figuring out how to make many different brushes. Or rather to have some diversity instead of similar brushes. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, thanks again. ^_^

Sometimes I do, if it seems like a link that would be interesting. But for the most part, especially when it's says something like a link to their myspace account I usually don't. Now people's links that refer to their Deviant art account I'll occasionally click on as I?m curious to see what art they have posted. And the stories, usually I don't just because since I check in those areas of the forum I've usually already been to the thread so there is no need to click on the link. If it's a link to their own webpage or another forum. The forums I don't visit and the webpage. Well occasionally I do if I'm curious to know more about the person, but not very often.

Especially when it came time to invent stuff and customize weapons. But then I already explained most of that to you over MSN the other day. ;)
That?s been the most useful part of the guide so far since at first I thought the inventing and customizing part was stupid. But now that I read the part of the guide that explained how it works I realize that it wasn?t stupid, but rather I was doing it wrong. For example I didn?t realize that to keep the production cost down to what your line is currently working on you have to change any inventors on your list to standby. Once I did that it quit eating up my money and made it more fun. Before I couldn?t figure out why it was costing too much. o_O I?m only sad that I lack the necessary money and inventors to make some of the better and more powerful stuff. There?s some pretty amazing stuff listed that you can create. I also love how the book tells you which inventor you need to create a certain item so you don?t waste your time trying if they aren?t a part of your team yet. I can already tell that the section on inventing and such is going to be one of my most used sections of the guide. ^_^ Anyway, as for where I was, I got back to Aquios with the copper and then boy did things change with the next section! I loved the cut scenes associated with it. ^_^ Since I make a point of never reading too far ahead in the guide or online it made a nice surprise as I didn?t know exactly what was going to happen. Now I?m on the next quest so to speak and I?m working on leveling up
the new character Maria as she?s kind of weak compared to the other characters in my group.
Though now that I?m working on the Shrine of Kaddan, there?s plenty of monsters to take down. And those magician ones are downright annoying! I can kill them, but they sure are a pain in the neck, running around poking your characters and interrupting them when they are attacking or using symbology.
Now you?ve got me thinking of pulling it out and playing it again as it?s been a while. Perhaps I?ll try to get some of the battle trophies I?ve yet to get, or even be a bit brave and try the hardest level as though I unlocked it, I?ve been to chicken to actually play it.
Play it! Play it! Play it! You don?t want to be known as a chicken do you? :p

Well seeing that I?ve only been trying to really learn how to do stuff this summer, I don?t really consider myself an artist. Primarily since I still have so much to learn. I did stuff before, but it was more of a hobby and not something where I was putting a lot of work into it. But after seeing some of the really amazing stuff people have made here I decided to learn more. And that included learning how to make my own brushes. Though I?ve still got a long ways to go. Just out of curiosity, what do you guys do when you make brushes? I?ve tried scanning different textured paper, sections of pictures I?ve taken, but beyond that I haven?t done a lot when it comes to making them. Especially since I don?t have my own scanner and usually end up using one of my friend?s scanner when I?m over at her house. Is there stuff that it?s considered cheating if you use it for a base to make a brush? I guess I?m just curious as to what makes the creation completely your own brush. Seeing that I?ve only been making my own for a few weeks.

What are your views on using pre-made brushes? Do you find that the person is disgraceful for using them, or do you love the brushes yourself? Do you even care?[/color']
I love using pre-made brushes. Especially since I?m new to creating graphics and making my own brushes is something I?m still learning how to do. The idea that using pre-made brushes is disgraceful is kind of like saying you can?t use anything by others in your piece. What about stock images? Should we also be drawing everything or taking only our own photos to use? It just doesn?t make sense.
You probably realize this by now - I use pre-made brushes, and I absolutely love them. I'm the type of person who can make pretty graphics (I hope), but I have a really hard time sitting down and thinking of brushes. When I first found out about pre-made brushes, I was - let's face it - ecstatic. The things up for download were way better than anything Adobe placed at my pre-disposal. I have only two brush/media resource sites that I visit, which are The Magic Box and Hybrid-Genesis. I prefer TMB out of the two, since the webmistress seems to be friendlier...anyways...
I felt the same way as it gave me more stuff to use so that my graphics had more diversity in them. It also helped me to see ways that I too can create brushes. Though admittedly I?m still working on it. I can make them, but I?ve yet to figure out how to create my own section of brushes.
Few people really knew that I used pre-made brushes before now. So what does that mean to you? Do you now look at my works in disgust, or has your perspective not changed at all?[/color']
It changes nothing in how I look at your pieces. Instead it just means your good at using the tools available to you to create pretty graphics. ^_~ I?ve heard others talk in distain for those who use pre-made brushes, but I honestly don?t understand this view. For those of us who are new, it?s a great way to become more familiar with how diverse the brush tool is and if we aren?t major graphic artists it gives us more diversity in our work since others who are graphic artists have taken the time to share their talents with others. I don?t think it takes away from my work since in order to make good brushes I think it?s good to know how to effectively use what you have first. If you can?t even make something look nice with the pre-made brushes, how will the brushes being your own creation change that? You?ll still have trouble getting it to look nice if you couldn?t achieve that with the pre-made ones. As for myself, now that I?m learning more I tend to use a combination of both, pre-made brushes and ones I made myself. Like the current graphic contest I?m in. I put a very light texture type brush on my section that was a brush I made myself. ^_^

I have a myOtaku account, but I?m more active here than I am over there. [remembers that she needs to update as it?s almost been two months] I like it though as I enjoy making wallpapers [you have to have a myOtaku account if you want to submit wallpapers and fanart for others to download] and visiting friends, but most of them are members here so I guess it doesn?t really matter. I started at myOtaku initially, but within a very short time I came over here as I like discussions more than a blog. I suppose the main reason I even bother is one the people are really nice and two, I like having a page devoted to cute pictures of my dog, or at least with a theme surrounding her. ^_~

Manga Trying to start a manga...need a little help
Aaryanna replied to Fox Heart's topic in Otaku Central
If you are having trouble coming up with a story line I would suggest you take a different approach to developing your manga. For example you could create character sheets where in addition to coming up with their names you also write sections on appearances, special skills, background, and other information that makes up who the character is. I?ve done a little bit of story writing myself and I find that the actual storyline and plot tends to be easier to work on once I?ve got a firm idea of the details surrounding my characters. It just makes it easier since once I?ve taken the time to develop them it seems more natural to be able to think of stuff since I know how they would react or behave. I would guess that part of the reason you are having trouble with the storyline is you?ve yet to decide on what your characters are like or what their abilities will be, so it?s only natural that it?s hard to think of a plot line around something that hasn?t been determined yet. Welcome to OtakuBoards jakewise, A quick look at the Rules shows that posting threads just to advertise your own site or any other site is strictly prohibited. So for that reason I am closing this thread. However this is not to discourage you from posting, rather be sure to take the time to read the Rules and FAQ that is located on the left sidebar of the forum before posting again. Also, each section of the forum often has a sticky at the top explaining how things are done in that section and it?s a good idea to become familiar with those as well. For example the one here is titled IMPORTANT: How to post in Anime Lounge. It's a good idea to review them before creating a thread. If you wish to advertise your site, you are welcome to put a link in your signature. That way every time you post people will see it and can come and visit you if they wish. If you have any questions feel free to pm myself or another member of the staff. ~Aaryanna Thread Closed

UchichaBlood you have already been advised to check the Rules and FAQ before posting. Please work on your post quality and put more of a emphasis on discussion since here at OtakuBoards we try to have quality discussion in all of our forums. For example you could have take the time to explain the pros and cons of both shows and then explain why you choose the one you did. So due to the spammy nature of this thread and the responses so far, I am going to close it. If you still are unclear on the rules and such look on the left hand side of the forum and look at the Rules and FAQ. Also please take a look at the IMPORTANT how to post in the Anime lounge sticky at the top of this forum to see more ways on how to post in the anime lounge. Keep in mind that members are held accountable to the Rules whether they have read them or not and members who continue to post without regards to the rules can end up being banned from the site. If you have any questions feel free to pm myself or another member of the staff. ~Aaryanna Thread Closed

Kindergarten : It doesn?t matter if the other kid started it, if you finish it you get in trouble with the teacher and your parents. First Grade : Not only do they expect you to sit still longer, but you still have the same problem of getting into trouble for beating up the school bully who by the way was trying to beat you up. Second Grade : Much better than first grade, but only because the other kids have finally figured out that picking on you results in you clobbering them. Though the teachers think you are a trouble maker at this point. Third Grade : Reading books without any pictures is far more fun than the boring stuff the teacher wants you to learn. Hiding in the library to read is fun! Fourth Grade : I don?t need to know how to spell to understand what the word means! Plus the teacher gets really annoyed when you point out math mistakes in the text book. Fifth Grade : Reading is still far more interesting than class. Learning penmanship is useless since most people just use a computer instead actually writing things down. That?s what a printer is for! Sixth Grade : So how come we haven?t been taught sex ed yet? Oh yeah, Utah?s to stupid to educate their children on this subject and teachers think you?re a perverted little brat for even asking about it. Seventh Grade : History is boring. Why? Because the stupid people who wrote the book like to bore you to death by writing three paragraphs of gibberish just to tell you that so and so is the King of some country. Something they could have easily done with just one sentence! Eighth Grade : College classes are a hundred times more fun that regular school classes! The teachers and students are nicer too. So why do I have to keep going to regular school when it sucks? As for the rest?only time will tell since the education system in Utah is determined to force me to attend High School even though I?ve already proved I can pass college classes. :animesigh

Don?t worry, you will. ;)
sooner than you think, at least the meeting part that is. [/spoiler']
Hehehe! You were right! I just
ran into him since he stopped my party taking the copper back to Aquios. Poor Albel! He was so upset when I didn?t let him kill me!
I know you guys say he?ll be joining my party later, but after what just happened, I?m definitely not one of his favorite people. :animesigh He?s pretty
mean to fight though. o_O
Anyway, I got the game guide in the mail today. (Finally!) And let me tell you! o_O That guide is freaking long and packed with details! I see what you meant indifference when you said finding an online guide for this game would be hard. I can?t even imagine trying to get this much detail into an online guide. It would take forever to get everything mentioned in. In fact I?m surprised by some of the things I missed! Though if I understand it correctly I?m not far enough into the game for it to be a problem. Now I?m just trying to be careful and not read too far ahead and spoil things. ^_^ Guides are nice, but I still like some surprises when playing a game. Too bad I got it after getting the copper. It would have been handy to have to figure out the room where you had to turn off the dragon lights in order to get certain doors to open. I figured it out. But it took a while.

My room is Pink! And it is by choice. ^_~ I?ve always adored the color pink so when my mom redecorated the top rooms of the house I got to choose the colors and such. So I have a nice soft pink for the walls and a pretty unicorn and rainbow wallpaper border along the top. Eventually I want to change the top border to one of pink roses or flowers and maybe even choose a darker pink for the walls. Or I might see if I can get my mom to swing for wallpaper in an older Victorian styled wallpaper with flowers, provided the main color scheme is pink. ^_^ I have a nice queen sized bed since when we got my Bichon I got to upgrade from a twin bed to a full bed and the mattress store had the queen beds on a sale that was better than the full bed price. o_O And yeah we did it just so she could sleep with me. ^_~ That and I wanted a larger bed so I could have lots of pillows and stuffed animals on it. And I suppose the fact that the twin bed was falling apart was part of the reason too. The rest of my room compromises of shelves built onto the walls, a small desk and some dressers that hold all my stuff. Which isn?t a lot actually. I?m also spoiled in that I have my own TV along with my Game Cube and Playstation 2 so I?ll often curl up on my bed among the blankets with my dog and play games. I also have a nice chair for my desk since it was given to me by my grandma. It?s a nice comfy padded chair that I love using. The only drawback is the computer is down in the kitchen area since we only have one and my mom uses it too. So my desk is mainly for doing homework.

Does civility have anything to do with power?
One would think it should, but unfortunately it seems those who are rich or powerful often feel they can do what ever they want. After all they probably are thinking I have the power so I should be the one to make the decision.
If they follow through like it says in the last article, then I?d say the statement by the minister is just that, a statement, and a rather empty one at that. Only time will tell.
Yeah, I?m certainly not going to hold my breath that?s for sure. I still think it?s disgusting and I sincerely hope they take the offer of assistance. They can?t honestly say there was no other option. I guess I?m just glad I don?t live in China. :animesigh

Let's talk about sex (Mature please)
Aaryanna replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Well I certainly didn?t learn about it from school as there is no sex ed classes where I live. Instead when I was about eight I got tired of hearing that babies come from heaven so when my mom took me to the library I got the librarian to help me find a book that explained how babies were made. She gave me an odd look, until I told her it was for a school paper. So I learned about it from the book and from looking up different words I didn?t understand in the dictionary. I figured that if babies really came from heaven then why in the world was the mother going to the hospital for several days just to pick the baby up? And why did they get such big stomachs before the baby showed up? Which I also noticed were smaller when they came back from the hospital with the baby. So it just didn?t add up. Adults can be so clueless sometimes. My mom didn?t even realize that I had found out about sex until a little while later when another person told me they were going to get a baby from heaven. They would turn to me and say, you do know babies come from heaven right? It kind of annoyed me since they were treating me like I was stupid so before I even gave it a thought I popped out the response: You?re having a baby because you and your husband had sex. The silence was deafening and I turned and ran to my room. I didn?t get grounded but boy was my mom surprised when she asked how I knew about sex. Of course I only knew the very basics. And now that I?m older I know even more. It?s amazing what you can find in the library when you want to know something. Or online for that matter. -
Well I finally finished the forest of thieves. I swear when you want a monster to drop something it takes forever! But when you already have what you need, then they drop them left and right! So now I have six regeneration symbols. They are useful though as it makes it easier to keep your characters alive. The whole idea that losing all your mp points
can incapacitate your character really threw me off at first. o_O
So I?m really glad I got the regeneration symbols since even though they only regenerate at a three percent rate, the intervals are pretty short so it works beautifully. ^_^ Anyway, I finished traveling to Aquios (sp?) the main city and now I?ve been sent on a mission to some mines to gather copper. I haven?t quite finished that area yet as I?m trying to make sure I get everything, or rather explore as much as I can since it looks like there are areas I won?t be able to access until later in the game. I still haven?t run into Albel again. I?m impatient to see how he ends up a member of my party. ^_^ Especially since it seems like helping me is the last thing he would ever want to do. I also just found out that there are 300 battle trophies you can earn. o_O That?s a lot! Some of them are a bit weird, like I got one that said I had battled for five hours. I was thinking what the heck? Sure enough I looked at the clock and I had been playing for over five hours. That?s a first for me as I usually just play games for an hour or two and quit. I sincerely hope I?m not the only one to get so sucked into a game that they played for over five hours. I still can?t believe I played that long!

You can imagine my panic, right? Right? Please say you do... So...sorry to Aaryanna, I didn't mean to count you out or anything, but I know you understand because that's the way the internet works. (What? What?!) ...Ugh...I feel like an idiot...I need to go wallow with the comfort of a soda, [strike]even though I've had three today[/strike] even though I don't need one.
I don't mind, I would have done the same. ^_^ I'm just glad it's working again. I've already started on my part so hopefully I'll have it up really early tomorrow. I plan on getting up early to make sure I can get it to everyone as soon as possible. Course if I work really hard I might even have it finished tonight. I'll do my best. ^_^

Yeah, Katana gave me all the details. Well I wasn?t really trying to start a debate over whether or not dogs have a soul. o_O In all honesty I think such a question is really irrelevant in relation to this issue. Unless you are talking about people. I honestly don?t see how we can claim we are the top species on the planet and then turn around and use such barbaric methods to dispose of dogs who may be infected with rabies. Even if they don?t have souls, and as indifference pointed out, we have yet to scientifically prove that a soul even exists, they still feel pain and I can?t imagine that being beaten to death feels good. Unless the dog is lucky and the person manages to kill it with one blow, it?s causing unnecessary suffering. And I can?t even imagine what it?s doing to the person who witnessed it. Lets put it this way, say it was your dog, would you want your children to see a stranger beat their dog to death? I can only imagine the psychological trauma of viewing such an event. Even just the idea of someone doing that to my dog makes me want to cry. >_< We had a dog that my mom got before I was born, before we got the dog we have now. She was over sixteen years old and got so sick that her poor body couldn?t fight off the infection even with medications so we had to have her put down. We did it because the nature of her disease would have meant a slow and lingering death with her whimpering in pain so instead we choose to not have her suffer. It was the hardest thing we?ve ever done and I stayed with her until the very last moment. So though I recognize that it may be necessary to reduce the number of rabies incidents, it doesn?t really solve anything in the long term sense. And by using such harsh methods they are looking like insensitive barbarians instead of a civilized country working to solve a bigger problem. It?s nothing more than a way for the government to fool themselves into thinking the problem is being solved. If they really cared about the people they would try to start educating them and making it possible for people to get their pets fixed so they don?t keep breeding. They would also make it mandatory for pet owners to have their pets get their shots. It?s required here in the US. I would do it anyway, even if it wasn?t required as I don?t want my dog to get sick.

If you take the time to unlock everything you could easily sink over 200 hours into this game. And just because I'm curious, how far are you now Aaryanna?
That?s a lot of hours! o_O Still it just means I have a lot to look forward too right? ^_^ As for where I am, I finished the training center area. Hehe! Sandy was right. Albel really does have quite the yaoi look and interesting attitude. I wonder when I?ll run into him again. Not that I want anyone to tell me as I don?t mind waiting to find out myself. Now I?m in the forest full of thieves. The one were the
fairy helps you spot trees that are really monsters blocking your path.
The best part about that area is the blue slime monsters like to drop a regeneration symbol that replenishes your magic at a certain rate during battle. I?ve been running in and out of that area trying to get at least enough to equip the main three characters fighting with one as now enemies are doing mp damage along with hp damage when they attack. I have one equipped on Fayt and it makes things a whole lot easier. I?ve got two of them and I?m trying to get another one. ^_^ Once I do that there was another save point and so far every time I?ve run into another save point it has meant the boss was next, so once I get another regeneration symbol I intend to finish that area. After all I?m suppose to be looking for the
flower girl Ameena who has supposedly collapsed on the mountain.
It?s always kind of funny how a non-fighting person can end up in an area when you can?t without fighting a ton of monsters! o_O But I guess that?s just how they write games. ^_^
Fayt is my favorite character as well (I just love the name Fayt), though I think Roger is quite possible one of the cutest things alive lol. Anyways to my understanding the outfits you can get for him aren't too different for his normal except the color scemes are different, though I could be mistaken cause I've never actually got them. I had the game but I had a house fire at the beginning of the year and have yet to purchase it again (yes I know it's just $20, I've been distracted though) Lol If anyone has played Radiata Stories
there is a Fayt Costume/Armor on the Human Path. I believe it's in Ridley's room if anyone is curious to know.
Anyways I think I'll be rebuying it soon though, :p .
They do have pictures in the little guide that comes with the game, but they are so small it makes it hard to see all the differences. I still have to earn more battle trophies to unlock it if I understand the instructions correctly. :animesigh I?m impatient as I want to check them out right now! ^_^ That?s too bad that your copy was hurt in a fire, did you lose your memory card too? Though I suppose if it?s been awhile you might want to start from the beginning anyway. Well I?m off to play it some more. Man this game is addicting!

Okay I just had to start a thread about this after Charles mentioned it and I found out what it was really about. For more details take a look here: Article The whole thing just sickens me to hear that instead of trying to educate the people on how important it is to have their pets vaccinated, they are instead randomly killing all dogs in an area where people have died from rabies. The sheer number of people dying from this disease in this country also baffles me as rabies is treatable and here in the US deaths from the disease are rare. Now I know that things are different over there, but it just doesn?t make any sense as I?ve always made sure my dog gets her shot to prevent rabies and in fact she has a little tag that goes on her collar that proves she has been vaccinated. It even has the year on it along with the name of the vet clinic, a phone number and another number so the vet clinic can see which animal it is for. So if for any reason she got lose and actually did bite someone they would know she was safe and could also find me through the information on the tag. Along with the one that has her name and my address on it. I realize that they are trying to save people?s lives by killing the dogs, but honestly it just makes them look more like barbarians who would rather kill than find a long term solution. Especially since there are many wild animals that spread the disease as well. It seems like they are going after the easiest target and ignoring the fact that there are better solutions out there.
