1. I?ve been trying to learn how to do stuff lately so even though I?m a newbie I?d like to at least try. ^_^
 2. Well what I like best is how you?ve combined colors that would normally clash when put together. I also like how it fades from the outside and then grows stronger in the middle of the piece. About the only thing I don?t like is part of the word pickitup. As the final letter p seems to vanish into the white line and splotches. Other than that, it looks great. ^_^ So what?s it for? If you don?t mind telling.
 3. And here I thought you were kidding Charles. Dogs That?s just sick what they did to those dogs. >_< As for the topic. I hear about how people commit such horrendous crimes and yet in spite of it they get little to no jail time. That mother is beyond sick that she would allow him to do that to her own daughter. I can?t even begin to understand why she even allowed it in the first place.
 4. Since I?ve never heard of this game before does that mean I won for fourteen years? ^_^ Though now I lose, but since Des started it I?ll have to forgive him. ^_~ Now that I?ve lost I say we do away with this thread! I visit the Lounge every day and if it?s still here I?ll lose every single day!
 5. Weight for me isn?t really a big deal. I?m very much on the tiny and scrawny side but I eat plenty so I?m not anorexic. I don?t even reach five feet and I?m only about eighty pounds. Hopefully I?ll at least get a little taller during my teenage years as it kind of sucks not being able to reach things on higher shelves. I don?t eat much in the way of junk food so perhaps that?s part of why I?m so scrawny. That and I take my dog on an hour walk almost every single day. ^_^
 6. The perfect one for me? Truthfully I?m not really interested in dating or guys at the moment, but when I finally do become interested the biggest thing would be that they have to at least like animals. ^_^ Other aspects like honesty, caring and being friendly are important as well. But so long as they are trying their best they don?t have to be perfect. They just have to love my dog like I do and we?ll be set! ^_^
 7. Well my real name probably fits me the least since I?m not into anything religious:
Bethany Gender: Feminine Usage: English, Biblical Other Scripts: (Hebrew) Pronounced: BETH-a-nee Means "house of figs" in Hebrew, from a biblical place name. In the New Testament Bethany was the town where Lazarus lived.
And my user name doesn?t really fit me either, I just think it?s pretty. That and it?s my dogs name. ^_^
Aaryanna Combination of Aaron and Anna. Given the meaning holy beauty by the parents who created it
So they don?t really fit my personality at all. Though if you were to go by my mom?s personality when considering my name, well she is religious so perhaps it?s more of a reflection of her seeing that she and my dad chose it. ^_^
My full name is Alexander Joseph Ivey.
Hehe, we named our cat Alexander. ^_~ Since I thought Aaryanna and Alexander sounded nice together. But since he turned out to be the type of cat that chews on everything, including power cords we nicknamed him Lucifer as well as he?s quite the devilish cat! ^_~
 8. Wow, such contrasting opinions on the same game. o_O Well since I?m still enjoying it I?m going to stick with the I love it stance. ^_~ But then I?m only to the part where Cliff and Fayt are at the training center to
rescue the two women who were captured and to help the one who went on her own to try and rescue them. Though I?ve yet to run into her as I only just got there.

Because to be blunt, most online guides suck. They do give you the basics but they are often poorly written and miss out on a lot of details. I?ve yet to see any online guide that really gives you what you need for this game. ;)
Well with what little gaming experience I?ve had, I agree. Though occasionally I?ve noticed that guides often miss stuff that online guides catch. Like in Tales of Symphonia, I found some side quests that weren?t in the guide but an online guide mentioned them. As for getting a guide, after doing a little research into the game I?ve decided to get one. I usually do if it?s a game I like and the company has a good reputation for making guides. That and I?m a sucker for all the details that the good ones provide.
So far the game has both intrigued me with it's many plot-twists and locations, and bored me with it's countless amount of pointless cutscenes and stereotypical characters.
As for them being stereotypical characters, I?ll have to take your word for it since I just don?t see it. But then to be honest until the past few years I was never into games so compared to others I?ve played very few games. In fact I only just got a Playstation 2 for the very first time this summer for my birthday so until now I hadn?t really played very many games since I didn?t have the system.
The pacing of the game also sucks. You'll find yourself doing numerous indifferent quests fetching stuff you'll soon find needless and fighting out-of-the-blue bosses with absolutely zero background or foreshadowing. As said, I haven't made it to the end yet so I can't say anything about the conclusion, but my hopes certainly aren't very high up. :/
Hehe I love doing lots of different quests. ^_^ That?s part of what I loved about The Wind Waker. I loved how you had to sail the seas and conquer different stuff just to finish the game and the other side stuff that you could do as well was tons of fun. Like the collecting all of the treasure chests in the sea. The ones where you had a map that is. ^_~ So if that?s true I?ll probably like it even more as I hate games that are completely linear in their plot line.
I'm sorry, but as much as I'd want[/I'] to like this game (afterall I'm a huge fan of J-RPGs), it's just given me too many frustrating hours that even the gorgeousness of Albel can't make me forgive. :/
Well since we are mentioning that a certain character is gorgeous, I?ll admit that so far my favorite it Fayt. I just think he?s adorable. ^_^ I love his outfit, blue hair, and the way his sword is strapped on. I read online that if you get certain battle trophies in this game you can get other outfits and I?d really like to see what other ones they have for Fayt. As for Albel, I wondered about him as he was rather unique compared to all the other characters in the cut scene. And his whole attitude of just kill them told me that later I?d have to deal with him. Though based on what you two have said it sounds like I?ll end up with him in my party. Hehe, I can?t wait to see what his sayings for leveling up and for the basic battle scenes are. ^_~
 9. I wouldn?t have ended the series, but a number of the Sailor Moon seasons are just loaded with tons of filler episodes that aren?t in the manga. Probably at least thirty percent of the show is nothing but filler that not only goes no where, but makes the scouts looks completely stupid and unable to figure anything out on their own. It?s like they practically have to have something bite them on the rear before they realize, oh that?s the enemy. Or how Usagi always needs to be reminded to deal the final blow. It got really old. So though I wouldn?t end it, I would have loved to trim out the excess fat that was turning a perfectly good anime into a joke.
 10. I just got this game a few days ago and I?m absolutely loving it. So far I haven?t really noticed too many flaws and for the most part I haven?t had any trouble with the other characters not acting in battle. Occasionally they seem to hesitate when it first starts but that doesn?t seem to last as they then quickly go into battle. I really like how you can do a combination of special attacks or the Symbology attacks instead. The only thing I really dislike so far is that although you can change the direction you are looking you have little control over looking up when traveling so you are still limited to a narrow view sometimes. So far my favorite character is Cliff. I get the biggest kick out of how he had funny little sayings when he levels up or keeps referring to Fayt as kid instead of calling him by name. I love the funny things he says in battle too. ^_^ I?m too the point where I am on Elicoor II, well a bit further than that as several events have happened since then. Though I?m still on that world and it?s looking like I will be there for a while. Anyway, anyone else currently playing this game?
 11. I?ve read the first four books. I agree, the artwork is absolutely gorgeous. I too liked Yuki/Ruki. It?s so funny how she seems like a ditzy little girl and then turns serious and smacks them for not being more serious about their duty to protect Bishu. What I also loved is the art book for this series. I don?t have it but SunfallE does. (seeing that she?s the one who let me read her books as I don?t have any of the novels to this series) Anyway, it?s absolutely gorgeous. I just love the style and art of this series. My only question is that from the information I?ve read there is ten books in Japanese, but the list for release I?ve seen only shows six scheduled to be released. Though I suppose since the sixth book isn?t due till December, maybe by then they will have the dates for the other four out. Unless they combined ten books into six for the English release.
 12. I?m kind of afraid of bugs. Mostly spiders. *shudder* I just hate creepy crawlers. Though to be fair I do like butterflies and dragonflies. I?m not so scared that I run away though. Especially when a spider is inside. I get a shoe or a paper towel and I kill it as I don?t want to wake up in bed later only to find that the spider is in my bed. Yuck! The one I hate the worse is mosquitoes. Not just because they bite, but because they carry such lethal diseases like the Nile Virus. Our next door neighbor had a bird die in his yard this summer and because it behaved so strange they tested it and it died from the Nile Virus. So I worry that one will bite and infect my dog. We have a bug zapper in our back yard, which does work rather well, but I worry when I walk her that one will get her.
 13. My moment was earlier this summer when I forgot about the screen door having a glass panel in it. You see I was going to a movie with both SunfallE and Mariskah and I was pretty excited and wound up. So when they arrived to pick me up, my mom opened the door and I just ran and put both hands out in front of me to just push the screen door out of the way. I was going fast enough that instead of the door opening like it usually does, my hands went right through the glass pane altogether. I felt really stupid and then disappointed since I figured I would be grounded for breaking the door, but my mom was just relieved that in spite of breaking the glass I didn?t get a scratch on my hands or arms. So I still got to go and see the movie. I don?t know what I was thinking though. I?ve never pushed the door open while running before. I definately was not thinking when I did that. :animesigh
 14. All of your lists are probably correct. Knight Hunters aka Weiss Kruez has been translated into both English and German. Every time a show gets translated the country or rather the language it is translated into is a bit different. And often they change the title to reflect the language it is translated into. There?s also probably a third list which is English, but instead of the names used on the English disk, they are probably a translation of what the original Japanese titles of the episodes are. As for the show itself. I?ve only seen a few episodes and I did enjoy how they work as a team to deliver justice on criminals that would normally be outside the reach of the law. I really liked Aya so I kind of want to see more of this show. But until I?m a little less broke or our cable has it in the on demand section. I?m out of luck.
 15. No matter how I look at it, those people sound like stuck up jerks who are mad that you caught them trying to get extra work for nothing. :animesigh Besides, I absolutely love my dog and if I was asking someone to spend extra time to care for them, I'd make sure to let them know how much I appreciate them giving up their extra time to accommodate me. The last thing I would want is someone taking care of her who is upset because I was too much of a cheapskate to pay for an extra night of care. Besides it's wrong to cheat others and they know it. Personally I think you don't owe them anything. However, if you do give some money back. I say you print a copy of this thread and give it to them along with the money. And if they need you to explain to them how even we total strangers can see what cheap underhanded ninnies they are, well there's just no hope for some people. :animesigh
 16.
I only have one question. Since you used a different picture for a banner this time I take it that the boy and owl is suppose to be Mersis and Drasis? I?m assuming that like Aries who chooses to look like a Bichon, Drasis has chosen to look like an owl.
Correct. ^_^ It?s suppose to be Mersis and Drasis as they often will choose a form based on their personality and the area they are responsible for patrolling. Thanks for commenting. ^_^ Aries was worried about Briana, ever since the Elders had dismissed her concerns as a careless human who lacked the ability to wield their magic properly, she had become withdrawn. At first Aries thought she was angry over not being taken seriously, but she had never stayed angry for very long. It had been several days since the Elder?s had dismissed her report and Briana was still quiet and withdrawn. Aries sighed a little as she finished changing into a Bichon for the patrol. Briana was sitting on her bed staring blankly at the walls of her dwelling, like Aries she too was already changed and prepared for their daily patrol. With a mischievous wag of her tail Aries leaped onto her bed and like the dog shape she had assumed she began to frivolously wade through the blankets, growling and kicking and shoving them around the bed. ?Aries! What are you doing?? Briana exclaimed as she caught a blanket before it fell to the floor. Aries didn?t answer but instead leaped from her spot on the bed onto Briana catching her by surprise and knocking both her and the blanket to the floor. Aries walked over from where she landed and licked Briana on the nose before sitting down. ?You?ve been moping around long enough. It?s not good to keep your thoughts to yourself.? Aries said. ?I miss Mersis and Drasis too!? Briana got up and put the blankets back on the bed before responding. ?That?s not why I?m upset.? ?I saw you and Mersis exchange tokens Briana. Though why you keep yours hidden instead of wearing it openly in your hair like Mersis did I don?t understand.? Aries said. Briana blushed hotly. ?It?s not what you think! I don?t wear mine because we have not exchanged vows!? She looked away before continuing. ?The tokens serve another purpose.? ?Then why did Mersis wear his?? Aries asked. ?You know Mersis, he was always poking fun at stuff. I told him people would get the wrong idea if they knew I gave it to him, but he just laughed and wore it anyway.? ?What was it for if not for exchanging a vow?? Aries asked. Briana hesitated. If she told Aries now, she might interfere with what she had in mind. Even if the two were strongly bound together due to their oath as guardians, Aries could not approve of what she was about to do. ?How about I tell you while we work on our patrol?? She finally said. Aries could tell that Briana was still holding back. I wonder what she is thinking. She thought before replying reluctantly. ?All right.? Alan waited until his parents and only brother had left the home for work before gathering some things and leaving for the forest. Today was the last day that he would have enough free time to search for the mysterious girl who had healed him. When he had gotten home that night after being lectured for foolishly traveling through the forest instead of along the road his parents had called in the town healer who had checked his wound to make sure he had been properly attended to. Later when his parents had thought he was asleep he had over hear them talking. Not only did they not know who the girl was, but none of the hunters were even trapping in that area. The next day Alan could tell that unlike other healers, she had done more and a quick look at his wound had startled him. It was not only much better, but actually gone! It had healed so completely that it was if he hadn?t even been hurt! For reasons he himself didn?t completely understand, Alan told no one, not even his parents about how quickly he had healed. He stayed in his room as ordered by the town healer for the next couple of days, but he couldn?t quit thinking about the girl who had healed him. It was last night that he decided to go and hunt for her. After what had happened his parents were moving him to the small guild building where he worked. Once that happened he would have no reason to travel through the woods as the building was next to the road that went straight to Lord Dirk?s castle. And Alan was sure that his master had already been instructed by his parents to keep a close eye on him. No, once that happened there would be no more excursions into the woods for him. At least not until he finished his apprenticeship, and that was several years away as most were not granted master status until they were at least eighteen years of age. Alan quickly slipped from the back door of the small cottage and into the trees. Good thing we live next to the forest he thought. It made slipping away that much easier. If I?m lucky, no one will even know I was gone today. Mom and dad and his brother Tom wouldn?t even realize that the pillows carefully placed under the blankets weren?t him so long as they didn?t try to talk to him. They would most likely assume that when he didn?t reply that he was resting as he was supposed to. Alan hesitated a moment, turned and looked back at the small village, for a moment he almost gave up and went back. But then taking a deep breath he strengthened his resolve and turned and continued into the forest.
 17.
Isn't this equivalent to necromancy? It was a fun thread while it lasted, but if there's nothing new to bring to the table, what's the point?
Mwahahaha! Some things will never die! ^_~ Though I suppose like DeathKnight already said, the newer people can add themselves to the list. ^_^
Frappr: Turning my fangirls into stalkers since 2006.
Hey! I resemble that comment! *shifty eyes* Once I?m old enough to drive that is. ^_~
 18. I?d like to say I don?t really care for fan service, but it would be more accurate to say I don?t care for the series with women who?s breasts are so big that given a chance they would fall over. It?s just so distracting, since most women aren?t anywhere that big, that I find it a bit annoying and usually don?t even bother to finish the show. Now on the other hand, a show with the occasional guy kissing another guy, well to be honest it does get my interest. Otherwise I?d probably not even bother to watch a show like Gravitation as the story line, and the dub voices are really annoying. So for the most part I don?t really care for it, but some fan service I don?t mind. So long as it?s nothing but fan service.
 19.
On another note, the way Briana keeps thinking about both Mersis and Drasis has me wondering if those two are going to pop up again in the story instead of being dead. I find that I am imagining that those two are prisoners of the Dark Lord she keeps referring too. So I am curious to know their fate.
Interesting that you should mention them. Well just read and you will see. Thanks again for your comments. ^_^ Mersis was having trouble keeping track of how long it had been since he woke up to find himself a prisoner. He knew it was at least two weeks, but only because he could not get the memory of being tortured out of his mind. Every time he woke up it was the same. Within a short time of waking up they would come for him. At first he had tried to resist, but the silver manacles fastening his wrists together and his ankles together were not just metal. They had been carefully forged with magic and he was not strong enough to break them. Even his magic was not strong enough. And even if he did, the room he was in was carefully shielded with layer upon layer of magical shields that reflected anything he did back at him. It made no sense to him as each time they dragged him to the other room and fastened him down to a table made of the same silver of his restraints, not once did anyone ask him any questions. They would simply channel their magic through a strange device, which in turn produced a strange type of light, which flowed through the table he was bound to and in turn through him. It was unbearably painful and the humans seemed oblivious to his screams of agony. Even if he blacked out from the pain they would simply wait for him to wake up before continuing. Then after a while they would take him back to his cell and simply leave him there on the crude pallet of straw with a few blankets and meager pillows. The room itself was completely empty other than the crude sleeping accommodations and a small plate that was always kept filled with fresh bread and cheese along with a container filled with water and a glass for drinking it. Though other than to drink the water Mersis was usually to nauseated from being tortured to eat the food they provided. It often took all the energy he had just to make use of the hole in one corner, which served as a means to relieve oneself and then to crawl back to the pallet and pull a blanket over himself. What hurt more than even the torture was not knowing what had happened to Drasis. Other than a vague memory of alarm and then pain followed by blackness Mersis didn?t know what had happened. He and Drasis had been investigating some traps in the forest laced with a type of Dark Magic that seemed to be designed to infect whatever was caught in the trap. He had isolated one of the traps and was preparing to take it back to show the elders when something struck him. The next thing he knew he was here in this cell. All of his possessions were gone. He had been dressed in a simple shirt and pants and whatever had hit him had broken the magic that kept him in human form. But so far who ever had captured him had not come forward or said anything. Mersis?s questions as to what had happened to Drasis or as to why they refused to release him were ignored. And the fact that even though Forest Guardians looked similar to humans his slender build and slightly pointed ears along with his green eyes and hair were not commented on. He had expected some form of demand but so far there had been nothing. He didn?t even know why they were torturing him. It made no sense whatsoever. But then the humans often did things that baffled those of the guardian world. The sound of the door opening brought tears to his eyes as they had come for him yet again. As they dragged him away he was overcome with grief. He had tried to remain hopeful, but as the days dragged by, the more he became certain that Drasis was probably dead. And the fact that Briana or Aries or any of the other guardians had yet to find him lent creditability to the idea that they probably thought he was dead as well. It was a thought that had haunted him for the past few days when no one had come to free him. I wish I was dead. He thought with despair as they once again began to fasten him to the table. Dirk opened the curtains to the balcony overlooking the inner court of his castle. Wrapped in the finest velvet and silk pajamas and holding a glass of the finest wine in one hand he walked out and leaned against the balcony and looked down. In spite of it being after midnight the area was well lit by oil lanterns and Dirk?s servants were hard at work preparing the traps while his apprentices were putting the necessary final touches on them. The traps themselves would only cause minor and relatively harmless physical wounds. Dirk smiled. Before long everything would be in place. It would only be a matter of time before enough people were affected by the dark magic. It had taken his previous master decades to develop the spell. Once someone was infected it would hide waiting for the right moment to spread to another person. Before long it would spread through out the entire kingdom. And when it did, Dirk smiled again. ?Master Dirk.? A voice called out from within his room. Dirk turned and went back into his bedroom. He ignored the servant patiently waiting at attention and stopped for a minute to admire himself in the giant mirror that ran along one of the bedroom walls. Dirk had already been handsome with his finely chiseled looks. With dark black hair, striking blue eyes and a body that was finely muscled he had easily attracted the attention of the ladies as a child. As he grew in power he had used some of his magic to enhance his looks and body, giving him a more refined and polished look. With the slight aura of sexual attraction he excluded with his magic, no one had been able to resist him. He turned back to the servant. ?Speak,? he commanded. ?My lord, the forest spirit has begun to despair as you predicted.? The servant said. Dirk smiled. ?Good, continue with the entertainment for a few more days. What of the other one?? ?It too has fallen into a state of despair.? ?Excellent. You may go.? Dirk dismissed the servant and turned back to the balcony. With a wave of his hand he closed the curtains with his magic. Once the human world was his, he would take over the world belonging to the forest spirits. And once he had control of the magic he would finally be able to make his vision of the world a reality. 20. I have two things that I?m best known for. The first one is my obsession with my dog. Everyone knows how much I love animals and that I want to eventually be a vet or a tech in a clinic, or run my own dog shop. Etc. So long as it?s about pets, I?m all for it. The other thing is my love of reading. I get my mom to take me to the library all the time and even the Liberian knows me by name as I always walk out with tons of books to read. Authors like Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Mercedys Lackey, and Timothy Zahn just have me wanting to find even more good books to read. I finish up the batch I bring home and then turn around, head back to the library and start the cycle all over again. I guess a third thing would be that some of the adults my mom knows think I?m allowed too much freedom by my mom. I don?t go to church and I?m terrible at socializing with them since if someone is dumb enough to try and tell me that babies come from heaven I?ll remind them that they are having a baby because they had sex with their husband. That sort of baby talk just annoys me to know end as I?ve been old enough to know better for a very long time. So they think I?m an out of control little brat who needs to be punished. :animesigh
 21. Well other than a typo here:
When if finally stopped
where I think you meant to write it instead of if. I think it?s coming along nicely. This chapter is definitely easier to understand with the conversation broken up. I feel like a broken record but it?s just so true. The whole story is just that much better for being easier to read. As for the plot itself. As much as I dislike people who hurt others, it does seem to fit that they were impatient enough to use torture and drugs to get the information they wanted. Especially if they had been monitoring them for months. It had probably reached the point where the Commander was irritated over not being able to figure out where Celestia had gotten such accurate information for her game. I know if I was going to invade a planet and I came across someone doing what she was, I?d want to know how in the world they knew about me. :p I would hope I wouldn't be cruel enough to torture them though.
 22. So long as it?s not by itself Cottage Cheese is great. ^_^ It?s good with veggies and even raw sliced mushrooms. (Raw sliced mushrooms are yummy!) And it makes a great snack with all types of crackers. Probably my favorite way to have cottage cheese is mixed with dill pickles and eaten with Fritos corn chips. It?s a bit weird but ever so tasty. ^_^
 23.
Uhh.... I never noticed anything about GF's not liking each other. (And I've made it all the way to disc 4 back when I 1st had it, but started over because I was missing items) But yeah, I wouldn't really say that GF's don't like each other. It could be, but I don't know. But my question to you is how many times have you used Shiva with Squall and vice versa with Ifrit? I could be wrong about this, but I think if you neglect to use a GF, you would lose compatiblity with that GF. (If you think about it that way, it makes sense.)
That's what I thought at first too, but I tried having them both with Squall at the same time and every time I used
Ifrit, my compatibility with Shiva would go down.
To put it in perspective, I have other GF's with Sqall and other than a few points they are all at 1000 which usually means the time for summoning them is fairly quick. But for what ever reason both
Shiva and Ifrit will not have a high compatibility with the same person.
Also other GF's that Squall hasn't used because I've primarily had them with other characters haven't dropped to zero, they have stayed someone where in the middle like they were when I first got them. Which is why I was thinking those two
GF?s didn?t like each other.

To anyone that knows how to beat them things. Any tips? lol
I have yet to encounter one since I?m not far enough into the game. But SunfallE was telling me that you have one of your characters
junctioned to protect against confusion or which every status it is that makes you lose control of your character. Then she said to make sure that the same character you have protected has Siren as a GF as it has the ability ?Treatment? that you can use as a command to cure a character of all ailments. With that you first treat yourself and then the others in your group so that you gain enough control to attack with GF?s and other magic and though it takes a while as the monster keeps attacking you with it?s bad breath, you can defeat them.
^_^
 24.
I'm somewhere in disc 3 now.
You guys are fast! I?m still on disk two shortly after you
save the Garden from being destroyed by missiles.
So far I?ve been making a point to check every boss so I have around
nine GF?s. Including one I got by solving a puzzle at the King?s Tomb before you attempt to assassinate the sorceress at the end of disk one.
My most recent acquisition was
Leviathan though I?ve yet to actually see what he does when summoned.
I assume it?s normal that some of the GF?s seem to
dislike each other? I?ve noticed that since Squall has had Shiva the whole time that his compatibility with Ifrit has dropped to zero. Are there any other GF?s who don?t get along like that?
Anyway, I suppose the most irritating aspect is trying to find the materials to upgrade your weapons. I don?t really use them a lot but I?d like to eventually have everyone upgraded. I guess I need to look online for help on that issue. Oh and about the victory dances you mentioned earlier Dagger? You are so right, dorky doesn?t even begin to cover it.
 25. Thank you both for the suggestion. ^_^ I went back and modified it and reworded it a little so the description would be first. I really appreciate the input since I think both of you are right in how describing it first makes it far more interesting. It didn?t occur to me that people would imagine a normal forest instead of her home. I suppose that's the drawback of being the author, I already know what it's supposed to look like so I didn't think to put the descriptions first. Anyway, thank you so much! ^_^
