I'll wager an outbreak of the Second Faction within West France, leading to a xenophobic expulsion of us? In any event, I'm sad that you let the United States of America fall. Could you at least let Great Britain stay afloat? I rather like them... I can't wait to post my sign-up for this. And about how many people are you thinking of letting in?
Or the realization that we are really weapons of war created by the government? That our very own memories are implanted? Hehe, the possibilities of what James has in mind are endless! ^_^ If it wasn't for the fact that I'm busy with my final assignments before my exams I'd be impatient for this to start! ^_~

Voting will close 16 April 2006 (Sunday) at midnight Eastern Standard Time.[/B'] I hope that we get more participation as well -- it'd be a shame to recieve only three total votes. I urge everyone to take the time to vote for one of us.
Is it okay if I still vote? I know it?s past the deadline, but it looks like the votes tie at the moment anyway. ^_^ So perhaps you might want to open it up for another week to allow more voting? Well I?ll put my choices in and you two can decide if you want to count it. ^_^ Retribution: Your entry is dark and I like the choice of colors. I also like the effects you used on the person as it makes it look more abstract. The one thing I think doesn?t fit is the font. It?s too clean and simple and kind of distracts from the overall effect. White: Your entry is nice and sharp and clean. I like how the face and blades clearly stand out. And the glowing V fits really well. What I don?t care for is that the red in the background is a bit on the bright side. Maybe if it were toned down a bit? Anyway, I like both pictures, but since I can only choose one I pick White. It was hard to pick since I think both pictures had aspects that out did the other.

As for dogs who are pre-disposed to being aggressive. Cocker Spaniels for many years was listed as the number 1 pure breed biter. Yet Cockers aren't on the danger list. Many of the dogs on the list you will notice made the list due to the "mean dog" image that many people are attracted to. People get dogs without considering their temperments. They just want the cool macho dog. What breed class is that dog a part of? Is it a working dog? Was that dog intended to heard bulls and cattle? Was that dog intended to guard a flock of sheep? When you don't take this into consideration problems arise.
That?s exactly what the problem is. It?s not an issue of they are inherently aggressive but rather people are turning them into something they aren?t. Several breeds are predisposed to having a task, like herding and guarding. Take Dobermans and German Shepard?s. They make excellent police and guard dogs. When you take a dog like that and try to turn it into a pampered pet it?s only natural that the dog is going to have issues since that?s not what it was bred for. Banning them won?t stop them from being bred and sold in secret. It?s important to make an informed choice when getting a pet. Take my Mom for instance. Our first dog was an American Eskimo. She got it because it was cute. And though it was a good pet, the poor thing shed horribly. It made things difficult since a number of my friends and relatives are allergic to dogs. So when we had to have her put down due to an illness. (she didn?t respond to treatment) My Mom decided to carefully research what type of dog we got the next time. We made a list of what we wanted and didn?t want. For example, little to no shedding and one that wouldn?t be hyper. In the end we settled on getting a Bichon since the breed fit what we were looking for. We didn?t get one of the other breeds since their temperament and nature did not fit our lifestyle.
Edit: I should also mention that once you ban all the large breeds the new dangerous breeds will be the smaller dogs. After all, they can bite and disfigure a child too. Jack Russell Terriers, Lhasas, Shitzu...your time's up once the big dogs are all banned. Cat bites cause terrible infections and I do know a woman who was bitten by her cat and ended up almost dying. Cats should be banned too. I guess while we are at banning we should just ban all animals since they all have the potential to kill. You can never be too careful right.
Panda is right; banning is simply a means to sweep the real issue under the carpet so you don?t have to deal with it. The answer is to educate people on how important picking and caring for a pet really is. Try learning about a breed before you decide it needs to be banned. On some levels the whole thing disturbs me since people are willing to kill off a breed of dogs just because they are unwilling to be responsible.
-
Actually the real problem isn?t that some breeds are more aggressive than others. The real problem is the owner of the dog. Too many people get a dog because it?s cute and then don?t bother to learn how to train or properly take care of their dog. Just as human children have different stages of development, so do dogs. By ignoring this and doing nothing to understand their dog or even socialize their pet the owner is encouraging the aggressive behavior instead of controlling it. It?s hardly fair to ban an entire breed of dog because people are too lazy to be bothered to learn how to train their dog to prevent it from biting. What we need is to educate people on taking their responsibility as a pet owner more seriously. Working with your pet takes time and dedication. It?s not like a human child who after a while understands that you don?t hit or do mean things. A pet needs constant and regular reinforcement of the rules. Take my own dog; any time she growls at people I immediately discipline her. In my case I firmly tell her no and if she continues I use a water bottle filled with water and 1/5th vinegar solution and spray it in her eyes. (A trick my vet told me about) What people don?t understand is that any dog can be aggressive. Bichon?s usually aren?t but I do not want her to ever think that growling is okay since often that does lead to biting others. Since I do this she has never tried to bite anyone. Not even the vet when she is being treated. And Panda is right, extinction is forever. If a town wants to control breeds that can be more aggressive then it would be a better solution to require owners to take a class before they can get the dog instead of keeping them from ever owning the dog.
Has anyone read whats goin on in iran and america. This is a serious topic and it could fire up another war. What r ur opinions on this thing. Explain by telling me if u like a side and why. Tell me if u like Americans/Iranians/Isrealis and tell me why u do choose their sides. And please people absolutly no discrimination or racism.
So what exactly are you wishing to discuss? Your opening post is rather vague; as you did not state what you think or what side you are on. Nor did you explain what event between Iran and America that you are referring to. Sorry but I lack the ability to read others thoughts. Are you perhaps referring to how back in the 1950?s the politics in that area started to change due to oil? Or perhaps you wish to discuss the ramifications of how relations between Iran and America deteriorated even further when the Iranians revolted in 1979 and Ayatollah Khomeni became Iran?s new leader and declared that the United States was the ?Great Satan? and a ?nation of infidels.? I am assuming that you mean something more recent, but the constant bickering and fighting between these countries has been going on for quite some time. So without further clarification I haven?t a clue, which one of the events you wish to discuss. Perhaps if you were to explain what you wish to discuss I would be able to answer. Also, could you please use proper English? It?s kind of annoying to have to figure out what you mean with the abbreviations. For members who?s first language is not English, well it?s probably even harder for them to understand what you are trying to say. It?s not that hard to type are instead or r or you instead of u or your instead of ur. I?d recommend using spell check as well.

Hehe, that has conspiracy and government secrets written all over it. ^_~ I?m wondering if the people in the coma really did come before the war with the hybrids, or if instead it?s a much darker and more sinister secret. Hehe, nothing like having good plot twists to make a story or rpg more interesting. I?ll be keeping an eye out for the sign up! ^_~

I definitely like the changes you have made. ^_^ I especially like how you have the little dots positioned to look like they are coming out of the mountain. I also like how you repositioned the larger text and then added in the smaller text into the background. Even if I can?t read it, the text really blends well and it reminds me of Japanese art prints that I have seen at the store. ^_^ Out of curiosity, what does it say? Also, now that I have the two to compare, I like how you changed the text at the bottom. By changing it from bold to regular text the words blend in more instead of standing out. I definitely like the simple text better than the bold that was in the first one. I don?t suppose I could use it on my computer as a wallpaper? Hehe, I adore pink and I love the mystical air that this picture has. ^_^

Congratulations you got the ability to control other people?s minds and actions. Unfortunately since you have never done any form of mind control before you can?t pick what part of your mind is controlling everyone. As a result the sheer power of your worst nightmares are being projected onto other people and they are now re-enacting those horrible dreams. Now you are running for your life as hoards of knife and gun welding murders are pursuing you. And just like your worst nightmare, there is no escape. No one hears your screams when you die. EDIT: Congratulations you are now Godzilla, unfortunately for you it?s 500 years in the future and with current technology you are immediately vaporized. Too bad. I wish I could talk to animals.

I actually like both. Unless the translation is horrible I prefer to first watch the dub so I don?t have to read while trying to watch the show at the same time. Then once I know what is going on I like to go back and then watch the sub to pick up on the differences between the two. Often, especially with a show like Fruits Basket, I end up having things I like better in both formats. Though for some of the shows that are edited to death like Sailor Moon, once I?ve seen the uncut sub version I can?t bring myself to watch the dub again. *shudder*

They are an awful lot alike. ^_^
It?s reached the point that I?m sure there will be some plot twists coming up. It will be interesting to see if I have guessed correctly.
I agree, if it really is a rip off of Sailor Moon then it has to have the plot twists! lol! I?ll be finding out soon enough though since I?ll be getting the season two box set in just a little bit.^_^

Wedding Peach is a fifty one-episode series along with a four-episode OVA that was originally produced in Japan back in 1995. Although at first glance it appears to be a rip-off of Sailor Moon with all the transformations and special attacks, closer examination shows that in many ways it stands on it?s own merits. For starters one of the things I like about Wedding Peach is that often the transformation sequences are abbreviated keeping them from being an unnecessary distraction from the overall show. I also like how on some levels it doesn?t take itself very seriously. It?s so ridiculous at times that you can?t help but laugh at it. Basically it?s the story of a war between the wicked Lady Raindevila who conspires to rid the world of romance and love and the goddess Aphrodite who is determined to stop her. In the effort to stop Lady Raindevila four high school girls become love angels who defend the angel?s realm from the devils who serve Lady Raindevila. What surprised me the most is that it was given a 13+ recommendation. I?ve only seen the first twenty-seven episodes but so far it seems like it is a show that would appeal to ages eight and up. For a light and basically fluffy show I?ve found it quite enjoyable. So who else has seen this show? And what do you think of it? ^_^

For those of you who live where Daylight Saving?s Time is honored, tonight or tomorrow sometime is when we change our clocks so that the time is one hour ahead of what it is now. A process that can be quite time consuming if you have a lot of clocks that need to be manually switched. Originally daylight savings time was started to save energy. Supposedly by having more daylight hour?s people would use less electricity for lights and it would reduce energy consumption. Which in turn would reduce consumption of oil, natural gas and coal. Though in reality it?s only a trick since you can?t increase the amount of daylight time. It just changes when you go to school so that you have more time after both school and work to do things when nature is providing the light for you. Every year there is a big debate as to whether or not we should either do away with daylight savings time or make it permanent. And the other debate is that next year Congress had approved extending daylight savings time by two months so that it will run from the first Sunday in March to the last weekend in November. So what do all of you think? Personally I think constantly changing the clocks is kind of unnecessary. It doesn?t change the amount of daylight only our perception of when we are awake for those hours of daylight. So I think we should either get rid of it altogether or make Daylight Savings Time permanent. Personally I like the idea of it being permanent since I like long sunny days, even if part of that day is an illusion to make me think it?s longer. That and I hate it when we change back in the fall since it makes it seem like the darkness started taking over. ^_~
I'm with you on the fact that we should allow more people in than we currently do so that people aren't driven to immigrate illegally. I was saying that the trickle-through pace at which we allow immigrants to come into the USA just won't cut it. My comment about impatience wasn't directly aimed at you, although you seemed to think "Send 'em all home." It also bothers me that you think that America is somehow not obligated to help a less fortunate country solely because they messed themselves up. Perhaps a modern day analogy would suit things best. You cross a homeless man on the street who lost all his money on gambling. You just finished a meal, and are walking home with the leftovers in a box. He asks if he can have some of your food, but you say no. You're not obligated to help a starving man solely because he wasted all his money on gambling and messed himself up. My whole point is that America is so decadent that we can certainly share a bit of the wealth to a struggling neighbor. To say "Hey, I wasn't part of the problem," doesn't excuse you from not being part of the solution. Anyway, it's not like the Mexican government is on a permanent holiday, however, it's not like they're going to make any drastic change any time soon either. For the reasons I stated in my last post, it's also [basically] impossible for them to start up a revolution. So either everyone immigrates to the USA or we help them. Problems don't spontaneously fix themselves with legislative band-aids and commands of "Why don't you fix up your own country!" It's honestly pretty cool that your mother and you do that, and like I said, my dismissive statement wasn't really aimed at you, but at what I see from most Americans.
I should have been more clear on the send them home part. By no means do I think all of them should be sent home. I actually think a system where those who are here illegally should have a chance to prove that they do need to be here would be a better idea. They could even require illegal immigrants to do what others do when they break the law, do some community service or charity work. So then they could not only get the right to stay in America but by doing community service they are essentially paying for breaking the law. Perhaps that?s a bit farfetched, but it seems like having to do a few hours a week of charity work is far better than being sent back home. It?s just an idea that I have. As for my comment about being obligated, I get frustrated when the local government tears down a building that provided shelter and food for the homeless and then turns around and makes a big deal about sending aid to another country. Something that happened in the town I live last year, they casually threw the homeless people out on the streets and then used money that could have built a new shelter here on other more high profile projects like helping starving children in third world countries. What really made me angry is they then had the gall to say that the younger generation didn?t care about saving the current building or providing a new one for the homeless. We weren?t even given a choice, we found out by waking up to see the building being demolished. So I?m sorry if that sounded like we shouldn?t help. I just get tired of seeing new ?help other countries projects? while those meant to help people here are being taken away. It?s a political tactic that disgusts me. So I sounded harsher than I intended. Sorry about that. I do agree that many people just ignore the problem and it certainly wouldn?t hurt to help since like you pointed out it?s pretty obvious that a revolution is out of the question. And those who are rich certainly aren?t doing much to fix it. Or so it seems. Anyway, I think I took your statement a little to personally, sorry about that. ^_^

Hehehehe! I doubt anyone will notice that Congress is gone after all just take a look at this! Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics: 29 have been accused of spousal abuse 7 have been arrested for fraud 19 have been accused of writing bad checks 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses 3 have done time for assault 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges 8 have been arrested for shoplifting 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year... Can you guess which organization this is? It is the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line. So if we become a part of the UK will we get to see Dr. Who episodes as they are created instead of waiting forever for them to finally come here? If so, I?m all for it! LOL! I?ll still set off fireworks on the 4th though! ^_~
Just as there are those who do not have the time to wait several years in line to become a legal immigrant. America only allows in a very small number of immigrants per year, and the impoverished worker in Mexico struggling to feed his family really doesn't have the time to wait in line. Yes, he probably could wait a few years and watch his family starve, maybe lose a child, and then come here legally. It bothers me when people dismiss immigrants as those who were too impatient to wait and let the American immigration process assume them legally. Honestly, there must be a problem when people are willing to walk through a desert with only a canteen of water for a better life.
It still doesn?t change the fact that they entered the country illegally. It?s true that immigrating to the US takes time and that only so many are allowed in each year, but to turn around and then assume that people here in America are dismissing them as just being impatient isn?t accurate either. There is also a huge problem here in Utah with illegal immigrants who also came just to sell illegal drugs. As a result those few who are doing negative things make the rest who are just looking for a better life, look like a threat not only to the working force but to the community as well. What bothers me is that people assume that we are suppose to take care of people who are starving in another country since their own government has failed them. What happened to attempting to solve our own problems of unemployment and poverty? Overall I believe that the current system needs to be improved, so that more people aren?t driven to entering the country illegally. I?m not saying that it?s all right for people to starve. >_< Don?t assume that I?m dismissing them. The religion my Mom belongs to does all sorts of welfare work in other countries to help people with food and clothing, including Mexico. I help my Mom when she makes simple tie quilts to be donated for this purpose. Just as others she knows provides clothing and money for food. And it?s not just a one-time deal either. It?s something that the members do all year long. Every year.

While I don?t think we should close the border, I do agree with cracking down on illegal immigration. Sometimes I think people tend to overlook the fact that many of the people they are referring to enter the country illegally. There are plenty of people who take the time to migrate into the country legally. They are not the problem. I also think part of the problem is that companies will hire them knowing that they are in the country illegally and yet they hire them because they can pay them far less since they won?t say anything to avoid being sent back to their own country. Here in Utah most fast food places are pretty much staffed by people from other countries whether they are legal or not. (at least the ones near my house are, I don't know about the rest of the state) As a result working for a place like Wendy?s has changed from paying 6.50 an hour back in 1994 to paying 5.15 an hour. They?ve taken advantage of the fact that they will work for less to pay everyone less. And you hear in the news on a regular basis how other illegal immigrants are working at different jobs and getting paid even less. The advantage of being legal and allowed to work in the USA is that it helps to protect you from an employer taking advantage of you to pay less and deny you medical benefits. Truthfully I get tired of people acting like we don?t care about illegal immigrants as if we owe them somehow. If they were legal I would not care, but since when was breaking the law suppose to be overlooked? Or rewarded? Say I?m looking for a job, am I suppose to just accept that someone who isn?t even legally allowed to work got it? If they took the time to immigrate legally into the country then they have as much right to the job as I do. Otherwise, send them home.

More and more i'm starting to see that science is NOT the only way to look at things. in fact, it may actually be doing some damage by trying to dominate all the other views.
How about a little clarification here. If science is not the only way to look at things, what other ways to see things are you referring to? And what views is science supposedly dominating? Your statement is extremely vague and doesn?t give a starting point for discussion.
For another thing, science claims that it has proven that certain things do not exist (magic, dragons, monsters, etc.) but, there is still evidence to the contrary. O.o NOTHING can be actually disproven, unless it's opposite is proven (and even that is hard to do!).
Again clarification is needed. Where have you read that science has made these claims? And where is the evidence that you refer to that says magic, dragons and monsters exist? I can?t go off a simple statement of you telling me. Was it a show or article that you read?
I'm not saying science is a threat, I'm saying science should ease up and let other views be in the spotlight. O.o also, there is SOME proof of dragons, and monsters, and I practice a form of magic that seems to work for me. ^_^ Sciecne is no threat. The damage I was talking about is that by dominating the views, science makes followers of other views look crazy, and tends to make people shy away from the views. O.o basically the goal of this thread is to A) see what everyone's views on issues of science, religion, philosophy, etc are (not just religion), and B) open people up to new ideas. :)
Okay that clarifies it a little bit, but saying you practice magic is not enough to be considered proof. And I still want to know where this proof that dragons and monsters exist can be found. And the idea that science makes others look crazy is a bit farfetched. After all people once thought that the Earth was flat. If someone is unaware of things, like the world being round, I wouldn?t say that they are crazy. I would only say that if after being presented with facts they still insist on believing in their past views. Like the world being flat. It?s a bit extreme but the principle is the same. Personally I see no need for science to let up. After all the fuss of the government here in Utah trying to make Intelligent Design the only way to teach in classes, I believe that the one?s who need to let up and quite trying to eliminate different views is the religious groups. Science like both kingN and Ikillion have said is responsible for amazing things. Like medicine and technology. Without it you wouldn?t even be able to post here about it. More importantly, trying to make science back off so to speak will not change how the world works. It won?t change the fact that the world is not flat. Nor will it magically make dragons or monsters appear.

Child Labor that exploits a child is terrible. As much as I want to help by not buying stuff that uses children to make it, it?s hard since I don?t know which items to avoid. >_< I try but it?s not that simple. Part of the problem is this: The International Labor Organization (ILO) has estimated that 250 million children between the ages of five and fourteen work in developing countries-at least 120 million on a full time basis. Sixty-one percent of these are in Asia, 32 percent in Africa, and 7 percent in Latin America. Most working children in rural areas are found in agriculture; many children work as domestics; urban children work in trade and services, with fewer in manufacturing and construction. If you want to know more visit this site: Human Rights Watch There are a lot of children being used so it?s not that easy to fix. And a lot of powerful businessmen in other countries do not care if they are being used since it makes them rich. There?s also the problem that large cooperation?s are greedy and unwilling to quit buying products from companies that they know uses child labor. They claim it?s because people won?t buy things if they cost more, but if it didn?t mean more profit, they wouldn?t do it. Sadly on some level they are correct though. A lot of people do want something for nothing. For some, they have no choice, they get paid so little that they can?t afford to pay more. I know my Mom shops at Wal-Mart since she can?t afford to buy things at other places. >_< And it doesn?t help that the wages here in Utah aren?t the best. If we know for sure that something comes from child labor that?s taking advantage of the children then my Mom does try to find somewhere else to buy things. It?s really frustrating since wages rarely go up here. Take the minimum wage here in Utah. It hasn?t gone up in almost 10 years! The government here in Utah keeps finding excuses for why they refuse to raise the minimum wage. My Mom worked in fast food ten years ago and employees today get paid less than she did ten years ago! >_< I?m sure it helps that people do avoid things that come from child labor, but we need major changes that keep big companies like Wal-Mart from being allowed to purchase it in the first place. Though I?m sure that something that drastic would take time as it would have serious economic repercussions.

Anime Who would win Evangelion vs Fullmetal panic
Aaryanna replied to animeloyalist91's topic in Otaku Central
Welcome to OtakuBoards animeloyalist91, I?m closing your thread for the following reasons: 1 ? At OtakuBoards we emphasize conversation. Deciding which show would win doesn't leave much room for an intelligent discussion. 2 ? Which brings me to the second reason. Since conversation is important we usually do not allow this type of thread as it usually ends up with people just listing which show they think would win. Especially when other than to list the names of the shows, not much else was discussed. 3 ? The first post in a thread is very important. It needs to set a good example and encourage further conversation. Something that your first post does not do. Please take a moment to review this sticky on How to Post in Anime Lounge . First of all I just have to say it. Wow! O_O That?s amazing. The way you combined the pictures and the overall color scheme is brilliant! I really don?t see that it?s missing anything. It?s so beautifully put together. I don?t have any pointers since it?s obvious that you know how to do far more than I do, but I do have a suggestion. If you feel something is missing, perhaps you could put the mountain that is in the background of the wave picture back in? Unless you?ve already tried that. Other than that I don?t have a clue as to what is missing. I think it looks great. ^_^

Welcome to OtakuBoards Kaise, I?m closing your thread for the following reasons: 1 ? At OtakuBoards we emphasize conversation. I can understand that you want to find out who the person in the picture is; but other than to ask about the picture there is no room for a discussion. 2 ? Which brings me to the second reason. Since conversation is important just posting a picture does not encourage much in the way of a conversation other than yes I know who it is or sorry I don?t. 3 ? The first post in a thread is very important. It needs to set a good example and encourage further conversation. Something that your first post does not do. If you really want to know who the person is in the picture you could provide a link to the picture in your signature with the question: If you know who this guy on the left of the banner is please pm me. That way anyone can take a look at the picture and then pm you if they know who it is. 1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age (if applicable) and gender is it? (avatars without characters are neutral or asexual) K-9 - five and a half years old - female 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? Definately feminine. ^_~ 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? Probably doesn't apply since she's a dog. Though by dog standards she's considered grown up. 4. What gender and race are you? White female 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white? (Answering yes is not racist - this is much more common than you think) Actually I do, but then where I live I don't see a lot of different races. 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference (if applicable). I've joined some RPG's if that's what you mean and usually I pick a white female as that's what I'm most familiar with. 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? No 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times (if applicable)? Yes, just a few times 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? Mine is really simple, it's the name of my Dog in the avatar and signature. ^_^ 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? Yes, since Aaryanna is usually thought of as a female name. People often don't guess my age though since I've been told that I sound much older than what I really am. 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? It's never come up so I don't know. 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? No since its who I am whether or not other people know about it. ^_^

Having finally seen it I really enjoyed Howl?s Moving Castle. I really liked how it was drawn as the way it was presented made it hard to pinpoint what era it was suppose to be from. At first I found Howl to be disappointing as it seemed like
his character lacked personality.
But then when you got to the end and see that he
lost his heart when he was still a child
it makes sense. It wasn?t a matter of
lacking personality but rather that once he lost his heart his body grew up but his heart (emotions) did not.
The thing that really surprised me was the scarecrow Sophie called Turnip Head. I was completely surprised when she
kissed the scarecrow and it turned into a prince!
I plan on watching it again to see if there were hints or clues that I missed regarding that the first time around. For everyday socks I really don?t care what I wear. I just wear the white ankle socks that my Mom gets for me. But in the evening when I take my shoes off I like to get fun socks that are fuzzy inside and have rubber patterns on the bottom so you don?t slide when you are walking on the floor. I call them slipper socks though I don?t know if that?s what they really are. Hehe, I just like wearing them. ^_^ The one?s I have now are brown with a bunny face on the top and have blue paw prints on the bottom for keeping you from sliding when you walk.
