Oh! I remember this thread! I was actually posting a reply in it when it vanished! I had typed up my reply and when I clicked on submit it said invalid thread! Anyway, I actually remember what my random question was so here I go! If you could be any animal, which one would you be? I?ve heard this before and I can never choose! I always think, oh! I want to be this animal because they can do this! And then I think, but I also want to be this one because they can do that! LOL! For example wouldn?t it be cool to be a Cheetah? I mean they can run so fast! Or what about being a Rat? Wouldn?t it be fun to be able to get into all sorts of small places to explore? Or how about being a dog? Hehehehe! I love Bichon?s and I think it would be fun to be a cute little fluff ball. ^_^

Looks: Any hair color will do, medium build. Though I do like guys with long curly hair. I think it just looks so cool. Personality: Outgoing and loves to discuss a wide variety of topics. I love discussing everything from anime, to politics to weather so I want someone who has lots of interests. Likes: Anime and videogames. I really love anime and video games so I want to be able to share that love with the person I am with. Don?ts: Dragging me to sports games left and right. Maybe it?s a guy thing, but football is boring. It's fun sometimes, but just not all the time. I actually love going to movies and classical concerts, I love listenting to Rachmanoff and Mozart. Doesn?t think he?s smarter just because he?s a guy. This is a real biggie for me cause I'm only 13 but I'm already taking some college classes. So I want someone who is okay with the fact that I'm smart. Overall: Basically someone that when it comes down to it, they are my best friend. Good relationships start off by being friends and stay that way if you still are friends after the relationship becomes more serious. I haven't had many relationships but my friends who are older always seem to get along the best when they were best friends and stayed that way.

Hehehe! Thanks for the info Panda. ^_^ I?ve kind of wondered about that. Especially since I?ve seen members who have only a few submissions with the title and others who have lots of submissions but don?t have the title. So does that mean that the requirements are stricter than they use to be? For example maybe in the past you only had to follow the rule for say 50 submissions. And now you have to follow the rules for say 100+ submissions? Or is it because the ones with lots of submissions also have a high rate of submissions that weren?t acceptable? I know for myself I think at least 3 of the 70 submissions I did were turned down. I didn?t actually keep an exact count so I don?t remember for sure. Also if one of your submissions was turned down does that make you ineligible for the title? Like you said, often things are turned down over a spelling error and I?m sure there are people who it?s an accident and they don?t realize that they made the error. It doesn?t really matter, but I am curious. Hehehehehe! I didn?t know that you were a fairy Panda! ^_~ And I didn?t know about theOtaku.com Senior Artist Fairy either! Hehehehehe! That?s pretty cool! ^_~

Oh my! I just read the link you provided Retribution. >_< I thought it was a joke, but they were serious! I think SunfallE is right! EWWWWWW!!! Talk about a true horror! That?s total propaganda! What SunfallE said is right! Not only is what they saying a myth, but for many religions it?s a day to remember the dead. :animesigh That?s kind of sad. It?s funny but really sad. I feel like indifference, I need to wash my brain to get rid of those brainwashing images. >_< It certainly won?t change my opinion; if nothing else I like Halloween even more. Especially since I know it?s a good holiday. :animesmil I think I?ll run off to watch a good Halloween movie too. ^_^

High School clubs.. Should they be strictly regulated?
Aaryanna replied to Horendithas's topic in General Discussion
I do not think there should be a council for regulating the clubs. For one thing it would be a violation of The Federal Equal Access Act. This law was promoted by Christian groups to allow students to organize religious clubs in public secondary schools. However the Act requires most schools to permit clubs of all religions, and those that are not religious. The school district can opt out of the Act by not allowing any non-curriculum clubs. It applies primarily to schools that receive Federal financial assistance. So the only schools that can legally say no are the ones that are privately funded. If you want more details then here is a link with the specifics of this Act. The Federal Equal Access Act The only way a club can be denied is if later the people who belong to the club are being disruptive. Not based on people?s perception that it will be disruptive. Or on the miss conduct of those who are not students or a member of the club. Otherwise it would be child?s play to cause problems and sabotage a students club to have it banned. This Act was passed in the Senate on August 11, 1984, so it?s not a new thing. I think it would be a big mistake for the School district of Provo Utah to attempt to bypass this law. It?s there for a reason. It not only protects the rights of those who want a Gay-Straight Alliance club, but all the other religious and non-religious clubs as well. By removing or attempting to get around this law you would have endless fights and arguments over who should be allowed to have a club, as people will object to more than just a club for Gay-Straight Alliance. As indifference pointed out, this club already exists in the colleges around here and they have not been disruptive. What has been disruptive are the people who are ignorant, intolerant and prejudiced against anyone who is different. It?s the very reason why the law is so important as it protects people?s right to think differently and worship differently. Being gay is not illegal nor should it be. And indifference is correct about the fact that quite a few clubs have been formed in the schools here and they didn?t make the news. So it's really dishonest for them to claim it's not because it's a club for gay people. I?m sorry to say it as I am a Utahan, but there are quite a few homophobic people here and they are even willing to break the law to discriminate against people who are gay. I actually think the whole thing is kind of sad, as it really shouldn?t be an issue in the first place. -
I?m sorry YohsAnna but I don?t think you drew these pictures either. First of all what indifference and Unborn Lord Xion are saying about checking where the pictures are hosted is true. Each picture is from a different blogging site. And what Brasil says about them being in different languages is true as well. And it?s also true that the styles are very different. Secondly, if you check the source code for the site where the first picture is from, many of the links and images lead to an anime henti porn site. So basically you are claiming that not only are you the artist but that you created the blog site with all the henti and porn links in it. *sigh* Seriously were you even aware that the first site has links to anime porn? Basically it all stacks up against you. And miyukii I agree with SunfallE, poorly written accusations aren?t going to change my mind either. There are plenty of members here like myself who really can?t draw, and to tell the truth, don?t care if others are better than they are. It?s not something I really like to do anyway.
Not quite. It's Sheik that you meet there, who says this after you get smacked around by the evil spirit thingy and then wake up: He
*cough*she*cough*
says Impa will be in danger without your help, and to go save her. It implies that she could die if you don't defeat the spirit (aka Bongo Bongo), but obviously you do in order to advance in the game. So, then, this quote would imply that you have indeed saved her from dying by defeating Bongo Bongo. Yes, I realize I'm beating a dead horse here. I just enjoy digging into all the little nuances of the storyline. :animesmil Oh, and agreed; that's also one of my favorite cutscenes in the game. That, along with the one right after you beat the Fire Temple where the big ring of fire above Death Mountain disappears, rank at the top for me.
I really like that cut scene too. ^_^ I love that about this game. The cut scenes are awesome. I especially loved the one right after the Forest temple with the Deku tree. And the one where Link sees Gannon?s evil castle for the first time as an adult. I also like some of the cut scenes during the battles with the bosses. Like in the spirit temple when the two witches
join together to fight Link
They just add so much to the game.

Forget the war on Terror- It's a War on Porn
Aaryanna replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
They actually base it off of comming typing mistakes. It's based off of say you were trying to type the letter Y but accidently hit one of the surround letters on the keyboard like U T or H. So instead of typing Disney you accidently typed Disneu or Disneh or Disnet. I don't think you are being a jackarse for asking. ;) When I worked in computer tech support I got asked that question a lot by the customers when I was helping them get porn material off their computer.
Oh! I know exactly what you mean! I?ve had that happen when I?m browsing online. Makes me so mad that they do that! Taking advantage of a typing mistake to get people to their site. And you can?t go back so I have to close the browser and start over! Grrr!! :animeangr I still think that Bush is a dork for trying to get rid of porn, but I think it would be a good idea if they had to use some sort of thing in their address that identifies it as a porn site. I?ve heard something about making porn sites use an xxx in their address. Kind of like how addresses end in .com or .org though I don?t know the details. But that way even if you mistype the name you wouldn?t end up in the wrong place. Though I don?t know how feasible such a thing would be. You would still have the problem of not all countries would follow such a rule, as things are different depending on where you live. It?s a nice idea though. -
Thanks for the good suggestions indifference, Lady Asphyxia & SunfallE. It never occurred to me to just add more to a simple concerned e-card. >_< As for writing my own pm message, well I?ve never lost anyone close to me so like you said SunfallE I really didn?t know what to say. >_< Which is why I looked through the e-cards as I felt pretty stupid that I didn?t know what to say. I?ll keep all of your suggestions in mind, though I hope I never need them. Thanks again. ^_^
-
I have a suggestion for a new category for e-cards. I wanted to send an e-card to one of my friends here since her best friend died. But when I looked I didn?t see a category for Loss, sympathy or for grieving. I know we have the category of concerned, but it didn?t seem to fall under the idea of saying you are sorry to hear that they have lost a loved one. It seemed to be more for if someone was having a hard time or a bad day. And losing someone you love seems to me to be more than just a bad day. I know it would be nicer if I sent them a real card, but most of my friends here I?ve never met in real life and I don?t have their address so I can?t do that. And it seems pretty tactless to send a pm asking for their address so you can send them a real card. I already went to hallmark and sent one of their e-cards for losing a loved one, but I thought it would be nice if we had a category that was just for if you lost someone you loved. It?s a pretty big change in someone?s life when that happens and having a specific category would make it easier for you to let them know you care. At least that?s what I think.
Which in conclusion. I seem to find the idea of them dieing. I'm not talking about them returning to life or not. But them dieing while link is an adult very sad. Its much more dramatic. And I can't find any other reason of why the sages would be prompted to say things like "Link, remmeber we always be friends."
I thought that the line was because now she would be a sage and the duties of being a sage came first. Unlike regular people most of her life would now be spent in the temple where she is a sage. The game doesn?t clearly state everything that they do, but it seemed pretty obvious that living in a village or being married or having kids wasn?t something that they had time to do. Hence the phrase we will always be friends. Also the sage of water says something along the lines how she wanted to declare her love but now as a sage she couldn?t do that anymore, so I figure that it?s the same for her. She will be a sage now and won?t have time for a normal life.
About the lineage of the sages, I've come to the conclusion that it's not really based on ancestry. In OOT, when you go and awaken the sages, they don't seem to have any connection with any predecessors. And you'd think there would have been other sages before them since Rauru, the sage of light, was obviously around before the new sages were awakened. Also in TWW, Medli and Makar don't seem to have any relation to the sages before them, yet they awaken as the new sages of earth and wind. So my current theory is that certain people just posses the qualities necessary for being a sage, and if the right circumstances arise, they can be awakened as such.
Interesting, cause that?s what I thought too, when the new sages in The Wind Waker seemed to have no connection to the previous one I figured that if it was more likely that a sage was chosen based on having the necessary qualities to be a sage. I figured that whether or not they were related didn?t matter.
I'm not quite sure what's abstract about the idea of the sages being alive after Ganondorf is sealed, though, when you clearly see them in the ending. Yeah, that scene can be interpreted in different ways, but the literal interpretation -- which fits all the evidence, as I've shown -- is that they're alive. To me, the theory that they die seems a lot more abstract. Either way, though, you're right about it making a great topic for discussion. Oh, and that's one of Saria's lines that you mentioned, isn't it? I always figured she said that because she'd be living life as a sage, dealing with everything that entails, while Link would go back to live an at least semi-normal life. (Or at least try -- the events of MM kind of screwed it up, but that's another story.) So they wouldn't really be seeing each other nearly as much or maybe even at all after that. The thought of the sages dying had never even crossed my mind until you brought it up.
I would have to agree that theory that the sages are dead is what seems abstract. Since they worked together to create the seal and since they are all sages, it only seemed natural to me that they would be seen together at the end. They had finally succeeded in restoring peace to Hyrule. So they were quietly watching the people from a distance since their duties as a sage meant they would no longer be a part of normal life. It never occurred to me that they were dead either until I read this thread.
-
The first bit here is right, but then it starts to fall apart: The seal on the Sacred Realm was made to seal in Ganondorf, who is indeed evil, but the seal affects everything. There's conclusive evidence for this in A Link to the Past, where perfectly good people were trapped in the Dark World with no way out. (Remember the various talking trees and the storytellers scattered about? Not to mention the maidens, who were descended from the sages.) So, presuming the sages had actually sealed themselves into the Sacred Realm, they wouldn't have had any way to escape short of breaking the seal. I've missed talking about Zelda storylines and theories. There hasn't been a good discussion like this on OB for far too long. :)
Oh! I didn?t know that. But then I haven?t played A Link to the Past yet. Or the oracle games either. The Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I?ve actually played and I?ve since then borrowed The Ocarina of Time and Majora?s Mask. I didn?t know that the seal would affect absolutely everything. >_< Okay if you follow the logic that the seal affects everything then later in the series there is possible proof that they had to be alive at the end of the game. The proof is in The Wind Waker. I say that cause in order to stop Ganondorf the sages had to be awakened in order to create the seal. In the Wind Waker in order to
restore the power to the master sword, Link had to awaken the next sage of that temple since Ganondorf killed them to get rid of the power in the sword. If you follow that logic then they had to be alive for the seal to exist. After all how else would their still have been sages in the temples unless they had found a successor to take their place as a sage? Not only did they need to pray to maintain the power of the master sword but probably to maintain the seal as well.
It?s definitely a possibility. ^_^ Hehehe! Now I think I?ll run off and find someone to lend me A Link to the Past.

Okay here?s the question. Just what do all of you do for Halloween? Does your family have any traditions that you follow? I?ve been thinking about this as I chose to do my English assignment on the history and traditions of Halloween. Truthfully I don?t know a lot about it other than it?s suppose to be the day that the dead can come back to life, or least that?s what I thought it meant. What I?ve been finding is quite different than what I originally thought the holiday was. For example since the ninth century, Christians have celebrated All Hallows Day on November 1 in honor of deceased holy persons or saints. I also found that the Christian Halloween adopted traditions from an older Celtic holiday. One where the Druids had a festival called Samhain, during which the god of the dead was believed to come back to earth accompanied by ghosts and goblins. I also ran into information that the belief that Samhain is a god of death is inaccurate. But rather that they believed that their God dies, later to be reborn and that its actually a day in observance of the death of a God. Here?s another really weird one about Halloween. Why do people say ?God bless you? when you sneeze? The Welsh believed that a sneeze blew the soul right out of the body. If someone sneezed on Halloween, people would bless one another to keep the devil from capturing the soul. It really is interesting to read. Here?s the site about Halloween History & Traditions. Halloween And here?s one with info why ?Samhain? the Celtic God of the Dead is a myth. Myth As for what my family does, well we usually go to a dress up party either at church with lots of games and food or trick-or-treating or both. It?s really a lot of fun cause my mom totally decorates the house for the month and on Halloween night she dresses up like a witch and plays creepy music at the house. So it?s lots of fun when all the people come around trick-or-treating. ^_^ We also go to some place in the valley that either has a hay ride or cornfield maze to explore. And my favorite is going to a haunted house. I could go almost every day all month! Anyway, what traditions do all of you follow? Or what's your favorite things to do on Halloween?
-
Well I?m confused as to how you thought the sages were dead in the first place. They were alive when the seal was made, and it was made to trap evil. The sages are not evil so therefore the seal would not trap them so to speak. I don?t think it?s similar to Return of the Jedi as those characters were already dead. At least that?s my take on it. Now as to what I read earlier about favorite dungeons, well I love the spirit temple the best. It?s just a lot of fun going there as both a kid and an adult. The one I really hate is the temple of darkness. I liked the actual temple itself, but beating the boss is really annoying! All it has to do is catch you once and you?re dead! Unless you have a fairy with you. :animesigh

Mandatory Curfews: Good idea or bad idea
Aaryanna replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I decided to do a little bit of research before responding and this is what I found at Curfew.org Curfew History A Brief History of Curfews curfew 'k&r-(")fyu n. Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French covrefeu, signal given to bank the hearth fire, curfew, from covrir to cover + feu fire, from Latin focus hearth. 14th century. 1: the sounding of a bell at evening (the Curfew tolls the knell of parting day -- Thomas Gray) 2a: a regulation enjoining the withdrawal of usually specified persons (as juveniles or military personnel) from the streets or the closing of business establishments or places of assembly at a stated hour b: a signal to announce the beginning of a curfew c: the hour at which a curfew becomes effective d: the period during which a curfew is in effect Curfews have been around for hundreds of years. They're traditionally created by the upper class members of society to limit the movements of the lower class. The theory behind this is that crime originates from those lower classes, and this preemptive strike will limit the amount of crimes that they can commit. Essentially, it is assuming an entire group of people to be guilty. This is my number one reason why I think a curfew is wrong. It is basically assuming that if you are a teenager then that by being out at this hour you are up to no good. It?s basically a guilty until proven innocent stance and that?s not how our justice system is suppose to work, It?s supposed to be the other way around. Although the definition of the word may only go back to the 1300s, the concept of a curfew has been around far longer. For centuries, curfews were to be expected in cities that had been invaded. Of course, curfews for blacks were common throughout the south in the United States during slavery and afterwards, in some places through the 1960s. This is another reason why curfews aren?t a good thing. It is a form of discrimination to say that just cause you are black (which they don?t do anymore, unless you happen to be a minor) or a teenager that you need a curfew. People who break the law and do bad stuff aren?t going to obey a curfew. It?s against the law to steal but it doesn?t stop people from doing it. They became popular for youths in the early 1900s. The curfew bell could be heard throughout America in former part of the century, the sign to teenagers and children that it was time to head home. Curfews decreased in popularity over the years to come. Not many were actually repealed, they simply weren't enforced. But come the late 80s, they started being enforced again. Over the next few years, this trend increased. By 1995 curfews were being enacted at a maddening rate, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) had begun to get involved, suing on behalf of affected children. President Bill Clinton, in May of 1996, announced that he was supporting a new teen curfew policy. His policy recommended weekday curfews at 9:00pm for teenagers, with punishments of fines and court summons for parents of offenders. Though this was widely seen as a half-hearted election-year tactic, it gained a great deal of attention from both the press and lawmaking bodies around the country. New curfews were added in greater numbers than ever. Many of the police chiefs and city councilors that got these laws passed a few years back are no longer holding their positions. They simply passed these laws because it was the trend. So it leaves organisations like the ACLU & fed-up parents to fight to have these casually-passed laws repealed. It is, unfortunately, generally far easier to pass a law then to remove one. That's right! I forgot! If it's the current trend it must be okay! *being sarcastic here* :animesigh Some of these curfews have been tested in courts. Some failed the test, others were upheld. One case, Schleifer vs. Charlottesville, appealed their case all the way to the Supreme Court. On March 22nd, 1999, the Supreme Court denied their request. So curfews will remain a much-debated crime-reduction tactic until the issue of constitutionality is settled by the court system. Until then, a variety of tactics must be employed to make curfews impotent or remove them altogether from our lawbooks. Overall I?m not convinced that curfews really get rid of crime. I think it?s just a way for adults to somehow feel that since there is a law in place that it makes their city safer. If they really want to have a curfew law they need to rethink how it is worded as right now its making the assumption that you don?t have a good reason to be up late. And isn?t it the job of parents to set a time when their kids need to be indoors? So long as the teenagers have their parent?s permission to be out late and they are obeying the law I see no reason why they need a curfew. Being in at night isn?t a guarantee that you won?t be shot or stabbed or be a victim of crime. Crimes happen during the day too. I think the cops time would be better spent dealing with crime and real problems instead of how late someone is up, unless they are comitting a crime that is. -
My birthday is in October as well. I know that yours is today October 1 so Happy Birthday.
I'll second that ^_~ Happy Birthday SunfallE! My favorite season is Spring and Fall. ^_^ I just love spring with all the flowers and how everything is turning green again. It?s just so pretty. I like fall cause of all the gorgeous leaves. And Halloween is lots of fun too. I love how the leaves dance too! It?s so much fun to watch the wind blowing them everywhere! It?s lots of fun to collect them to decorate your room with too. I like winter but I get tired of being cold and winter seems to last way to long for my tastes. Summer is fun cause there is no school, but I hate how it gets too hot so it?s not as fun to have time off when it?s too hot to go out and enjoy it.
-
Well besides my usual love for anime, manga and video games. I just love to read. I love going to the library and getting lots of new science fiction and fantasy books to read. I also love to go hiking up in the mountains. I could do that everyday given the chance. ^_^

I really don?t think God has anything to do with the recent disasters or deaths caused by them. It may seem that the disasters are coming one right after another, but how can you truly know that? Compared to how long the Earth has been around we have very little in the way of records of the actual weather patterns that have occurred. I don?t think you can consider the past couple hundreds of years an accurate model on changes in severity of our weather since it?s not enough data to represent millions of years. It?s like asking one person out of a billion what they think and assuming everyone thinks the same. Statistically it?s just not accurate. Also, what has knowing alchemy got to do with God? And you say you have books but what books are you referring to? That whole statement really doesn?t make much sense. Just cause something is written in a book or published in something like a newspaper doesn?t make it true. I do agree that more could have been done to save people from the hurricane, many people didn?t want to leave New Orleans and others had no way to leave. I sincerely hope the government realizes that we need to sit down and work out a better plan for what to do to save as many people as possible the next time we are threatened by a hurricane. We also need to create a better plan for responding to a disaster once it has struck.

Forget the war on Terror- It's a War on Porn
Aaryanna replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I swear, sometimes I have to wonder just what is between President Bush?s ears. I?m beginning to think that it?s just hot air. *sigh* Sure I think Porn isn?t a great thing, but why are they trying to get rid of something that in many respects really isn?t an issue? I could understand if they were trying to get rid of the porn involving people who aren?t old enough, but for consenting adults? It?s just plain stupid! There are so many other things that are far more important, like the economy and the people who are so poor they can barely feed themselves. Or how about the problems caused by the recent hurricanes? If they really want to get rid of offensive movies, then how about going after broadcasting channels that are showing stuff on TV that only five years ago you would have never seen unless you went to a rated R movie? Seriously I could easily find lots of things that would be a better cause than to attempting to control adult films. -
I?ve been having problems too. It started yesterday when I tried to visit sites on myOtaku. I then found that theOtaku and OtakuBoards were running really, really slow too. I finally gave up as yesterday and today it?s so bad that quite often pages just don?t load at all. It took me forever just to get logged into OtakuBoards today. It told me over 10 times that the server couldn?t be found and other such errors that you get when a site doesn?t come up. >_< I can visit other sites just fine. It just seems to be this place that isn?t working right. I even tried it at school on a different Internet service and I still had the same problem that I?m having at home. Since I?ve never really had a problem before I?m assuming it?s because they are updating or fixing something here. At least I hope that?s the case.

Nice pictures, both of you. ^_^ Doukeshi: I like your picture, as it seems to be an abstract representation of a rose. The colors are bright and vivid and they flow quite well. I know that the specks are supposed to be there but I really don?t like them as they distract from the softness of the picture. What I don?t care for is the picture just doesn?t really come across as desire to me. It?s nicely done I just don?t care for the abstract conception of desire. If I didn?t know what the picture was suppose to represent I honestly wouldn?t have guessed it. Deucalion: I like how your picture fits nicely with the background colors. The over all colors are soft with a tiny hint of a glow and really go together. What I don?t care for is the font and colors of the words as they don?t seem to flow with the picture and look more like they were just put there. It?s nicely done but it seems more to me like she is simply waiting for her date to pick her up. It flows quite well, it just doesn?t seem to say Desire to me. I think both pictures are nicely done even if they don?t seem to fit the theme very well. My vote goes to Deucalion as I think they came the closest to the theme. Edit:
There is a person in the foreground you know, its not just a rose. I don't know if I'm allowed to address the meaning behind it, lest it detract from the actual graphic nature of the competition. There is meaning though.
I know. ^_^ It's just that the way the picture is done it comes across more as a rose than a person, at least to me anyway. ^_^
-
Wow! Both pictures are amazing! Excellent work! Both of you. Sun: I really love the relaxed feel of the beach picture. The colors you have chosen are soft and inviting. I don?t care for the yellow dots under materialism or in the corner as they seem to distract from the overall color scheme. Also the picture seems to be a bit washed out to me. I find I have to look closer and squint a bit to get the details in the picture behind the people up front. I like the font you choose for the words, but they do look a bit blurred to me. Still, it?s an amazing picture and I think it flows well. Ozymandius: If you were looking for a theme that literally screams materialism then you have found it. The bank receipt along with the mixed currency really conveys to me that materialism is everywhere. I like the border as it almost makes your picture look like the background picture for an actual check. What I don?t like is that the two dollar bill seems to be out of focus in some spots. I also find the background of coins behind the word end to be a bit off as it makes the n harder to see. The words fit well and overall the piece is quite well done. Now the hard part! Picking only one! Both pictures are really good, but I am going to give my vote to Ozymandius as I like the theme a bit better than the other one. It just seems to say materialism much better to me.

I got Tales of Symphonia this year for my birthday. I?ve finally beaten the game and I loved every minute of it. ^_^ I really liked the plot twists as it kept it interesting. As for favirote characters, well I just loved playing as Zelos and Lloyd and if you
choose Kratos for the cut scene in the Flanior then later he re-joins your party. Though I hate it that if you want Kratos in your party later you have to kill Zelos. I like both of them!
I also love the music and the battle system as well. It?s so much fun doing all the special moves. Other games have more complicated moves but I hate having to push the buttons 10 times in a special sequence just to get it to work. >_< I just don?t have the patience for that, so Tales of Symphonia is great as the shortcuts for the techniques are easy to use. My biggest complaint is the lack of anime cut scenes. One of my friends had loaned me the Lunar 2 Eternal Blue game before I got this and although it was older styled it had over an hour of really beautiful anime cut scenes in it so I was really disappointed that there were so few in Tales of Symphonia. Hehehehe! Over all it?s one of my absolute favorite games ever! ^_^ And I just adore Lloyd?s voice, but then I?ve always liked Robin from Teen Titans. ^_^
It's that time again, my dear children. ~_^
Okay! ^_~ Besides I just can?t ignore a request from someone with a cute Australian accent! ^_~
A) Which aspect of OtakuBoards do you find to be the most negative/confusing?
Well so far I can?t think of anything that is really negative. I admit that some of the controls confuse me a bit, but I think that?s only because I?ve never been part of an online forum before and not a flaw in the design. But it hasn?t really affected me as several of the members here have helped me with all my questions. ^_^
B) What is your favorite aspect of OtakuBoards?
I just love how nice everyone here is. I have never felt like a new member as I have always felt welcome here since I joined. I know that others have already said it but I love how there is lots of different things to talk about besides anime. I don?t always comment, but I sure do enjoy reading the different threads that pop up. ^_^ I also love how well moderated it is here as I hate Spam and flame fests, or whatever they call it. So it?s really fun to come to a place that has actual conversations! ^_^

What would you choose Love or your Dreams?
Aaryanna replied to WhiteAoiFox's topic in General Discussion
If I had to choose I would definitely take dreams over love. Maybe it?s because I?m still young or maybe I?m just different, all I know is I really could care less if I met someone and got married or fell in love. It just doesn?t seem important to me right now. As for my dreams, well I have so many that I can?t imagine ever giving them up. ^_^
