A compromise could be that we list them (except for the last couple), but we don't say what the post requirement is.
I vote for doing it this way. Though with a few people around here already having hefty post counts, it just might let the cat out of the bag since people will be able to see it. Also you could give Raiha a custom title of Queen of Death to throw the others off and therefore keep the 8,000+ threshold a secret. :D
  2. Can I just say how much I adore how so far, the fights in this series aren't dragged out to eternity? I really, really love how they approach things in this series. That bit with the trickery on the clone's part was just totally fantastic. :catgirl: I can't wait to see the next chapter to see how Fei Wong is affected by that massive spell the clone cast. *bounces*
  3. skllngtn, how about you tell us a little bit about why you like the shows. Lists on their own are pretty boring. You don't have to do as much as necrojesta did, but just a sentence or two is a good idea.
  4.
IF you were my kid speaking to me that way I'd kindly remind you that I gave you life and I can take it away.
Though I do agree with what you said in general... You do realize just how creepy that part sounded right? o_O Anyway! SachiroUchiha, I'd have to agree with the others, anime like any hobby, comes after homework and all those little details that result in you actually being able to purchase it. My mom is fine with it but then that's probably because she knows when I'm watching it, my homework is already done. And since I have no interest in gore, nudity, fanservice, violence or language, she doesn't have to worry about me watching something that would be considered too mature for my age.
  5. Your name: Victoria Ann Almagest Your age: 14 Your connection to the Almagest or Achard family: Victoria is Leonhart Almagest’s granddaughter. Your portrait: Victoria Ann Your occupation/location: Victoria Ann is currently a student at CHAOS. Like any student her studies cover the basics. Since she was a small child, Victoria has taken an interest in airships and tends to focus on studies that pertain to that occupation. Her plans are to design and build ships in addition to piloting them. Your story: Victoria Ann is not gifted like other members of the family but she is bright and quick to pick up on what’s going on. It was this inquisitive nature that lead to her discovering proof that her grandfather Leonhart and her Aunt Catherine had been kidnapped by the fanatical group known as the underdogs, who were trying to overthrow the Czenoble Dynasty. In doing so she also, by virtue of borrowing ancient maps from the headmaster of CHAOS, discovered where the underdogs were located. In the three years since the revolution she has continued her studies at CHAOS in addition to helping with the care for Lucy, a racing chimera that was given to the Almagest family as a gift from the Archard family. Primarily, Gustave Archard, cousin to Vincent Archard who was killed during the revolution. Now Victoria spends her days attending school, taking care of Lucy, and designing air ship models that she wants to eventually build. She hopes, in due time, to go and visit Gustave where he lives in Anovia since she thinks of him as an uncle. To that end she keeps up a correspondence with both Gustave and her cousin Harrison who is serving in the Czenovian military.
  6. Since FMA is going to be having new stuff out, it seems like the best choice to me. So I have cast my vote. Guess that means I should actually watch it. :p
  7.
I would first like to point out that it was Israel that broke the ceasefire, on November 4th. On top of that, they never held up their end of the deal for the ceasefire, which was to end the 18 month long blockade on the people of Gaza. This led to rockets being fired by Hamas, which led to a response by Israel, and then more rockets from Hamas, and finally Israel's full-blown military incursion of Gaza. I have a lot more to say on this topic, but I will save that for another post.
I'm beginning to wonder why people don't read up on WHY things happen instead of pointing fingers. Please read this before you start on how Israel is to blame please. Six die in Israeli attack over Hamas 'tunnel under border to kidnap soldier' Here's the relevant part of the article btw:
A five-month truce between Israel and the Islamist rulers of the Gaza Strip was foundering yesterday after Israeli special forces entered the besieged territory and fought Hamas militants, leaving six Palestinian fighters dead and four Israeli soldiers wounded. The Israeli military described the operation as a ?pinpoint? raid to destroy a 250-metre tunnel that it said the hardline Palestinian movement was digging under the border to try to kidnap an Israeli soldier ? as it did in the summer of 2006.
Perhaps they shouldn't have been digging a tunnel under the border in the first place. So now they're the bad guys for stopping that? I sincerely hope you're not serious.
  8.
Believe it or not, there are rules, even in war. Sometimes some countries don't abide by the rules but they exist and are internationally recognized. It is a rather niave cynicism, prevalent amongst precocious teenagers (not saying you are one, just commenting generally), to think that all the laws and rules that bind us are thrown out the window during war. Which is why, rape for example, cannot be used as a method of intimidation. Or why the US didn't just throw a few nukes at the Vietnamese.
I'm perfectly aware that their are rules in war. Just as I'm also aware that part of the reason war happens is because people violate rules. Like in this case, the cease-fire treaty that Hamas deliberately ignored. :/ I'm not talking about all of the history surrounding this for the simple reason that both sides are very messed up. A question was asked that put the blame on Israel and my answer was that in this instance it was not their fault. People are conveniently forgetting, as James already pointed out, that Hamas chooses to do these actions regardless of the consequences. No country should be expected to just sit there and take being fired upon when the one doing so has no intention of stopping. They ignored their own cease-fire agreement after all. Making it clear that they had no intention of honoring it in the first place. Also, the other examples you gave are a bit pointless. I read up on how Israel has dropped pamphlets and used many means to inform people of impending attacks. I find the whole thing disgusting since Hamas clearly doesn't not care if their people are used as shields to perpetrate their pathetic agenda of wiping out another country and it's citizens. You make it sound like they are deliberately targeting civilians when that is not the case. If they were attacking without trying to keep the casualties to a minimum then I would agree, but that's not the case here. Sure the deaths in Israel may have only been one or two a year, but Hamas's actions with building a tunnel and firing 80 rockets in answer to requests to extend the cease fire, shows them to be uninterested in peace. Making Israel stop doesn't address the issue of also making Hamas stop their actions. And since when did those lives suddenly become meaningless since they are so few? I would hope any country would value it's citizens more. It saddens me that Hamas does not. My point stands. I do not see Israel as being at fault in this incidence. I do not see the actions as being out of proportion. It is caused by Hamas who is using their own people by hiding behind them like cowards. :/
  9.
Every country is allowed to defend itself but its actions must be PROPORTIONAL to the threat. In 7 or 8 years of pestering Israel with its pathetic rockets, Hamas has killed about 7 people in those attacks. In over a week of operations, Israel has slaughtered over 500 so far, and counting. The numbers don't add up.
lolwut? Since when was war or any form of conflict ever proportional?
  10.
Essentially this RPG will end with your character being "abducted" by the aliens, once your character escapes from the ship itself.
o_O Well I put up my last post. I didn't end it with the abduction since Sabrina and I decided to tag team. So her final post will include my character and she'll end it at that point. We thought it would be fun to do it that way. =P
  11. It was cold outside the ship, not terribly so but enough that Katelyn found herself shivering. It was her first time stepping onto another world. In spite of all that had happened, it should have been a little thrilling. But all she could think about was what Natalia had said about Arthur. She didn?t pay attention to the others who were helping Jeff since the terrain was uneven, making it hard for him to climb over rocks with his injured shoulder. She just blindly followed along, lost in thought. Arthur hadn?t looked like a terrorist. He had seemed a bit reserved to her but wasn?t that normal when you were with people you had never met before? He hadn?t even given her a second glance either. If he really was a part of the group that had killed her parents, wouldn?t he have been nervous around her? Did he even know about her? If he had followed the news at all, he would know. If he was a terrorist, someone like that would avoid her, wouldn?t they? The media had had a field day with the story behind why she entered the contest for a chance to be on the historic voyage. Katelyn had been annoyed at first and then she had just accepted it. Her parents would have been happy and that was all the mattered. The attention had died down shortly after the winners had been announced and everything had been pretty quiet in the months before the ship launched. Other than a few people, like Samantha and Natalia, no one had said anything to her. She looked up at the others who were getting ahead of her, though they had stopped as a barrier of rocks that had been pushed up by the ship crashing was in the way. The group was looking at the ground. ?It looks like Arthur went in that direction.? Viktor was saying. ?But that?s away from the ship. Why would he leave when he needs medical attention?? Natalia was looking at the tracks in the dirt and then looked back up and smiled kindly at Katelyn when she joined them. ?He probably didn?t feel up to climbing over the rocks here.? Jeff pointed out. ?But he?d have to climb up that hill to get around them,? Natalia objected. ?Sick or not, the rocks aren?t that high, it would be quicker to simply go over them.? Viktor shrugged. ?Does it matter? It?s cold out here so we should hurry.? ?You?re right. I?ll go first and take a look.? Natalia scrambled up until she could look over. ?It?s not that bad,? She called back to the others. ?The ground slopes upward so once you get over the top of the rocks its pretty level.? She climbed the rest of the way up. ?You ready Katelyn?? Viktor asked her. ?I?ll be right behind you and Jeff. That way if you accidentally drop something I?ll see it.? Though why she wanted them to go first made no sense. Viktor gave her an odd look and just nodded. Once they were up, she climbed up as well. Other than to make sure she had made it, the others said nothing and started climbing up the land that was slowly rising. Katelyn took a moment to look back down at the tracks that lead off towards a nearby hill. She stood there and stared in that direction for what seemed like an eternity. She turned and looked to where the others were. She could hear them talking but they weren?t paying attention to her. They were helping Jeff who in spite of the treatment was obviously struggling a little. The stuff she had put on him would stop the bleeding, but moving around like he was could cause it to start bleeding again. He needed real treatment. She looked back at the hill and then without really understanding why, she climbed back down the rocks and took off at a dead run, following the tracks. A tiny part of her mind told her she was being foolish, but the other part wanted to know. She had to find out if he really had been part of the group that had destroyed the factory her parents had worked in. She knew she was being foolish. If he was a terrorist, he?d kill her without a second thought. And yet, she couldn?t stop running.
  12.
Post Squeaker! [/FONT']
And done! *whacks you with a pillow* I'm sure I made what Crystal is thinking a little too obvious but oh well. At least I finally got the post up! I don't know why, but I kept getting side tracked by other things. o_O
  13. Crystal had gotten what she wanted and yet she hadn?t. She had finished her duty by escorting Erica Kendrick?s remains to the capitol, and she had handed over the two slaves Celestia and Jason to Commander James as ordered. She had argued for some form of ceremony for Erica though she knew the request would be ignored. The High Council wouldn?t look past the fact that she had led the Resistance for all those years. Crystal had expected it, but she still couldn?t help but feel disappointed. She felt the same about what had happened to Commander Landers. Crystal couldn?t vouch for what happened to other prisoners taken by the New Alliance, but she herself had never been mistreated or had her own kin used as leverage. Though saying she had kin was a bit of a stretch. She had alienated all of them long ago with her push to improve living and medical conditions for the slaves. If something were to happen to her, they wouldn?t care. There were very few people who did care. And only one that she was certain would actually do anything for her. Crystal tried to push the thought away. She didn?t want to think about it, doing so only brought up uncomfortable feelings of loss. I wonder if I?m the only person who even cares that Jared is missing. She imagined that Commodore Luciana did, but no one else. He had made too many enemies over the years. Stop thinking about it! She admonished herself, but it wasn?t enough and she couldn?t seem to get her attention back to all the reports she was reviewing for the research being done on Pharus. Crystal had requested that she be assigned to something else since she didn?t want to return to the Creator. Commander Drace had been released and somehow she knew that if she were to return, he?d find a way to pay her back for shooting him. It wouldn?t matter that he was guilty of violating direct orders from the High Council. Her few encounters with him had clearly shown that he did what he wanted and only behaved enough to keep his rank and to gain more. Commodore Luciana outranked him, but he had flagrantly disregarded her orders before and she didn?t want to be around when he did so again. Why they were allowing that failure to continue as a Commander was beyond her. She sighed. This isn?t working. Crystal stood up and turned the terminal at her desk off. She walked over to the balcony overlooking one of the inside gardens for the Council Center and sighed again. She had gotten what she wanted; she had been reassigned upon request. But now she was stuck in one of the stuffy offices in the Council center as she managed the research being done on Pharus. She didn?t agree with the research because it had been outlawed over a thousand years ago. The fools had nearly lost control of the Empire over the mental alterations and research being done to apply that to the slaves, and yet they still continued with the other in spite of that. Crystal turned and left the balcony, heading for the door to her office. Standing around moping over things wasn?t helping anything. Perhaps a walk before dinner would help. There was just enough time for her to make use of one of the larger gardens. She was not going to sit around and entertain thoughts that were heading down the dangerous path of wanting to do things that would cost her dearly.
  14.
In the meantime. Post Squeaker! lolz[/FONT']
I actually had a post ready the other day and accidentally closed my program and lost it. XP I plan on re-writing it up after school tomorrow. I was going to work on it this evening, but the site was so horribly slow that I gave up (I needed to look at a previous post for some details you see). Anyway, time to dash since I'm back to needing to get up early again. Bah!
  15. I see it like this: Look at me! I'm different cause I'm emo! [silence] Just the current attention seeking fad as others have said. Every person I've known who does it is just a brat whining for attention.
  16. I don't really know enough about the situation to say much, however, if this part is true:
The Israeli military says its aim is to take control of some of the areas used by Palestinian militants to fire rockets at Israel. Four Israelis have been killed by rocket fire from Gaza. "The objective is to destroy the Hamas terror infrastructure in the area of operations," military spokeswoman Major Avital Leibovitch said. "We are going to take some of the launch areas used by Hamas."
It sounds like the other side was the one to start the ruckus in the first place. So wouldn't that make them the one to break International law? If I'm not understanding this correctly, by all means explain.
  17. Other than to think the guy is an idiot, I don't have much to say. It's not like this Warren guy is becoming president or anything. =P And regardless of his inflammatory and idiotic statements, I think it changes nothing that he'll be there. Plus Obama can't please everyone, no matter who he picks.
  18.
I'll let Indi think up the devious ways in which Samantha might end up triggering this. :P
She did and... O_O Samantha has gone nuts. I mean she just
killed all five of of the engineers there without a second thought.
And yes I know she's not nice but... mean! >_< Anyway, once the holiday is over, I'll work on getting a post in. :catgirl: *wonders if Katelyn can take a baseball bat and apply it to Samantha's head* >_>
  19. Well like Darren said, we're getting snow and we had that crazy storm a few years ago that caused so many accidents. Though if one is honest about it, it was stupid people not slowing down more than the weather. This year there hasn't been much in the way of snow until about a week ago. Usually we get it by Thanksgiving. ^^ Not that I'm complaining, even though it's pretty, I hate being cold. Sometimes even though it snows, it melts by Christmas so all we have is chilly weather and dead looking grass. At least when we have snow, my dog likes it. That dummy will wander all over the place getting soaked just to sniff everything and eat it. XP So she's been having a blast since it started snowing.

  23. This is where I'm glad my mom gave me a normal name. XP Seriously, the kind of names given to those kids is beyond stupid. A thousand times stupid and then some. Those parents are attention seeking morons.
