Sesshomaru? Pretty boy? :animestun NO WAY! Sesshomaru came close to defeating Inuyaha in the beginning of the series without a sword. He deals with strong demons like a nuisance in his way and he could take out Naraku if he got to him first. Eye candy, I beg to differ. ~Jake~

Why is it that in some action animes the man in the relationship is stubborn to admit his love. And in some of the actual romance anime's the guy is so stupid and crazy over the girl that he acts like an idiot. I checked out some of those recommended romance animes and thought they we're dumb and flitty. POST OR REPLY BY -Emily- OF THE SSF
Aren't TNN and Spike the same? Spike being the new name for the station? -ArV
TNN shows movies while Spike has shows like MXC. Still, I haven't heard anything that says spike is going to have Hentai. POST OR REPLY BY -Rod- OF THE SSF -
Will Anime die with our generation? Looking back at my parents generation I see all the old pointless comedies that were popular at the time and are now forgotten. Will some of the Animes we love now be forgotten in the next few generations. I remember my father talking about the andy griffen show and how it was so popular back then. In the future will our generation of Anime be forgotten. Now some of the real popular old shows are still on the TV land channel, but those are the real popular ones, what will happen to the unpopular Anime, heck what will happen to the popular Anime. Some of these shows are too good to be forgotten. POST OR REPLY BY -Wes- OF THE SSF.
LOL, I don't get TechTV either. :P My cable service is annoying. I sure wish they'd trade out that stupid channel known as "TNN/Spike TV" for it: because I'd much prefer seeing Crest of the Stars to hentai, which I heard is going to be broadcast on the "new TNN." I even heard a rumor they were serializing Urutsukodoji. Now that's just SICK ::vomits:: Oh well. I guess I can just block the channel from my selection lol.
Are you saying TNN or Spike. Because i've never heard off TNN/Spike. If it is just Spike then they'd have to air Censored Hentai because it is basic cable and not something where you order it. POST OR REPLY BY -Rod- OF THE SSF -
Only anime is on YTV: Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, Beyblades, etc. This network only shows series that are geared towards children. This is due to its namesake Youth Television. It has the chance to redeem itself, but it seems to just continues to serve soccer moms and preteen dubbies. -ArV
Now I understand how Beyblade is geared towards kids and even some things in Gundam Seed could be called childish, but not Inuyasha. There is a lot of blood and for the most part the storyline is geared more for older people. Kids won't understand Miroku's perverted behavoir and I don't think those soccer moms want their kids seeing chunks of demons falling to the ground after Inuyasha runs his sword through them. If i make any spelling mistakes i blame it on the phone i'm posting this from and that it's 12:00 at night. If Inuyasha and Kagome had a kid, would that kid have dog ears? POST OR REPLY BY -Jake- OF THE SSF.
Lucky for people new to the series, the .hack games are $20 a pop, now. I wish they'd sell them in a box set or something for a cheaper price. It seemed like that was their original intention. I'll have to agree with you that they were my favorite anime video games. I played a demo of Ghost in the Shell and enjoyed it, but I'm rather broke and I haven't been able to justify paying for it until I can get it used for ten bucks, lol.
I bought them as soon as they came out, but i have to say it was $49.99 well spent in the long run POST OR REPLY DONE BY -Wes- OF THE SSF
That's not a "four corner pulled together", it's a bulging vein. I bet you spent all this time thinking of a way to describe it, too. I bet you sat there thinking, "I do say, I wonder what that thing there is?" I bet you've lost over a week's worth of sleep over it, total. Seriously, man, get a life.
*pinches your cheeks* : P
Have you ever watched an episode of Star Trek? I think those kids use about two and a half plot devices throughout the entire series. Tch. *rolls eyes*
That's a Vein? We'll that makes sense doesn't it? POST OR REPLY DONE BY -Jake- OF THE SSF

Why is it that in almost all anime's where there's a serious battle of good and evil that the bad guy always at some point has the upper hand, then the good guy says "you won't get away with this", then the bad guy says " oh, but i will", then the good guy gets a burst of energy and blows his butt to heaven? Why is it that every episode of Pokemon ends with To Be Continued... even if that episode had it's climax and the storyline for that episode won't continue? Why is it that every time a bad guy has his enemy (the good guy) is custody that he doesn't just kill him but instead gives him time to make his escape? Why is it that the cat in Trigun has such a big head and a way of always moving around from town to town so fast? Why is it that the good guy almost always seems to win? Why is it that Edward Elric is so short? Why is it that almost every main character of an action anime has to have gravity defying hair and fashion statements that cost $100s if there just going to get ripped in the next fight anyway? Why is it that Vash's yellow glasses can get broken but he gets a new pair easily with his low budget when here a pair of those glasses cost $100+? Why is it in almost every action anime the villan's always cocky and his/her laugh sucks? Why is it that anger is symbolized with four corner put together to make a cross and not just a red face or something more simple? Why is it that all these questions are completely pointless yet someone is bound to end up answering a few of them? POST OR REPLY DONE BY -Jake- OF THE SSF

Writing Favorite books characters
SilentSecurity replied to Ozymandius Jones's topic in Creative Works
I'm going t dig this up because I like it. My favorite character would have to be Prince Kheldar or Drasnia from David Eddings' series The Belgariad. I like Kheldar "Silk" for his sarcasm. He knows when to keep his mouth shut but he doesn't because he knows it annoys people. Silk knows his way around the country and most important of all how to slip away unnoticed. In the series after the Belgariad (which is the Mallorean)
after silk finds out his dear friend was murdered by a family ascending to the throne he goes on a killing spree of it's family members and doesn't think twice about the consequences
. Silk's skill with daggers is amazing and he can barter with the most hard ass shopkeepers and still get the item for half the price. This sly, sarcastic weasel faced man is my favorite book character. Second favorite would have to go to be Robert Langdon from Angels & Demons and from The DaVinci Code both written by Dan Brown. In Angels & Demons Robert a Harvard symbologist is whisked away to Europe to help solve the murder of Physicist Leonardo Vetra. The case ends up leading him through Vatican city in search of an underground brotherhood called the Illuminati. He's intelligent and is a quick thinker. What more could you ask for? The DaVinci code is a controversial best seller so it must have good characters right? Finally the bronze medal goes to Jason Bourne. He's suffering from amnesia trying to uncover his past while strange men chase after him trying to kill him. How cool is that! I'm talking about the Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. I loved it how Jason knew how to keep persevering despite the setbacks of having guys shooting at him wherever he goes. Even though he has amnesia he still remembers how to completely dismantle a gun in under thirty seconds. He's awesome. -
I'd probably go to Trigun. I like Vash's idea's on life and I'd probably like to talk with him no matter how much of an idiot he acts like sometimes. I'd also like to go to Case Closed and bring along a few DVDs of CSI and show them how it's really done. It gets on my nerves how Roger is such an idiot and the Police actually rely on him. I'd see if i could hitchhike on the Outlaw Star with Jene and just live there for a while working and doing whatever you do when you have the fastest ship in the galaxy. Then I'd finally put up a house in .hack//sign and live there. "The World" seems like such a cool place to go. Sometime in the future I'm sure there will be a good online virtual reality RPG and if it's half as good as "The World" I'd quit my job and spend the rest of my days eating, sleeping, and playing games ( oh wait...that's what i do now). i like the beginning song of s-CRY-ed, The beginning song of outlaw star, and the beginning song of cowboy bebop.

.hack is my favorite anime game. it lives up to the series and it gives you some insight into "the world".
i loved how you face "the wave" a series of bosses that are in The Epitaph of Twilight.
I just loved playing this game. I hated though how Star ocean can put two long discs into one box but .hack was four short discs spread out in four boxes, it's just how they ripped you off trying to make more money. Even though the series is expensive if you buy them brand new hot of the shelf like i did it's still worth it.

I'm going to have to say Project Snowblind. You get all these special powers like shielding and in the end you wind up with over 15 awesome weapons. You can drive tanks, cars, and these walking things called ogres that fire a group of cluster missiles. You can hack cameras, turrets, and all kinds of robots. My favorite part is a gun that fires out little balls that seek out and electrocute you're enemies. The online play is awesome and even though it's a single player game it's the best "teen" rated shooter for the PS2. I own Ratchet and Clank: Up your arsenal and i think it's great, but for me it's too childish. Project Snowblind has a gritty edge-of-your-seat style to it i just love. It's a short storyline but it makes sense and it's fun to play over and over again. I beat it three times in two days and loved every minute of it.
The favorite final boss fight of mine would have to be in Star Ocean Till the End of Time. That game was great, it always threw an interesting character at you all the time. The bosses always looked great too. But at the end,
when you go into the hall with all the clocks, and then you have to fight The Creator, its just amazing. He was so hard for me to beat, i had to go back and level up more and more, and by then i had some pretty neat attacks. I knew though, with Albel, Fayt, and Cliff, i could woop his butt. It was such fun.[/spoiler'] And i liked the fact it was real time. fun stuff...
Luther from star ocean did surprise me. Before all the bosses in the game we're a pretty easy kill but the second version of Luther devastated me.
His attack Insanity Prelude was amazingly efficient in destroying you're team. The hand like wings made him look awesome too! He's insane but he's got to be the best. The other bosses didn't prepare you for Luther's second stage.
Luther is the best final boss.

He's right, even though i must say Adult Swim has a good line up nothing else is carried. Those greedy ******** at the digital cable company want extra money for G4 then you'd have to pay even more for an extra box up to your room (if you live with your parents). A real problem is that local libraries don't carry enough anime. For people who can't afford to go out and buy every anime DVD they want to see libraries are the only option. I've visited a few different libraries around me and in different states, each had a marginal supply of anime. TV is great but you can only get so many shows, if libraries had a big collection it would solve that problem. If anyone is looking for a business idea an online anime library would be perfect. you could type in your billing address and name and have anime mailed right to your door. it would solve the no anime in libraries problem, you wouldn't pay extra for cable channels, and you wouldn't have to go very far to pick up your anime. with a $10 entrance few for unlimited anime it would be a hit. Until this happens the only solution if you really want the anime network is to get a lot of people sending e-mails and handwritten letters to the cable companies that don't carry it. We can keep chatting about it here, which is fine with me, but we still have the same problem until you take action.
