Well, if you've been keeping up with the RP, you know the king is dead and lots of fighting is going on and whatever. So, here's the crossroads... In a few days I'm going to have my character used the traveling glass and this will affect the other characters. If you don't want to play anymore, this is a good place to drop out. If you do want to keep going, just let me know! Also, if there are any battles(some of the characters are fighting in the castle) you want to finish before the traveling glass interrupts you, now's the time! Thanks! Hayama

Maius stood up and dusted himself off, making sure he had forced his face into a smile before he dared to look at Kyru. ?Of course, of course,? he assured her. ?I got a little carried away, that?s all. I wanted to take a walk to calm down a bit.? Kyru gazed at him suspiciously. ?Now, it has come to my attention that Kyryan ran off,? Maius stated, ?let?s go find her, shall we??

[FONT=Times New Roman][COLOR=DarkGreen]To think it had been in such a place all along? Neiro held the half-disk of glass. It was the same color, the same texture, the same weight as the piece of glass he was so familiar with, the one tucked away in his pack. The only thing strange about this piece was that it was resonating somehow. Neiro could feel it and hear it, like a soft hum. ?Is it reacting to the other half?? Neiro gasped. Stuffing the chunk of blue glass into his pack, Neiro ran from that room. He had to find somewhere to hide while he thought of what to do. It was a bad thing that these to pieces of the mirror were so close, a very bad thing. If anyone caught him and found BOTH halves of the traveling-glass, it would surely spell disaster. So Neiro ran down the hallway, he ran until the din of the continuing battle nearly died away. Stopping before an inconspicuous wooden door, Neiro opened it. Inside the small room were nothing but dusty scrolls and books. With a sigh Neiro slid down to the floor and set his head against the door. He felt sick. He should have felt better, after all, he had just avenged his parents and countless others who had been wronged by the king. Instead, he just felt sick. He didn?t want to think about anything, but the traveling-glass tugged at his mind. Neiro opened his bag and withdrew both the half Loki had given him and the half he had sealed away in the wooden box. Did he dare to break the seal?[/COLOR][/FONT]

Yup! Since Animerica died, they sent me a free copy of Shojo Beat. I read it and the subscription was pretty cheap so now i get it in the mail every month. I LOVE Absolute Boyfriend. I like Yuu Watase in general (good art, interesting plots, romance) so a new manga by her is great! I like the Baby and Me one too because its cute and being the oldest in my family, I feel the main character's pain when he's dealing with the baby. Oh, and I like Godchild because Cain is hot :catgirl: and I like how its sort of a blend of victorian CSI and horror stories. I skim read the others. The samurai-ish one and the volley ball one are okay, but the art in both doesn't suit my tastes and the plots bore me a little. :sleep: The only one i really don't like is Nana... too much drama. :animestun LOL

Despite the odds stacked against him, the king still smirked. ?You?re a brat from that pathetic forest village. I won?t give you what you want, I?ve told your people that already.? ?Oh,? Neiro said, his voice eerily toneless, ?you?ve made yourself quite clear.? He walked up to the king. ?You ordered our representatives assassinated, didn?t you? You silenced them.? The king flinched. ?Those two representatives were my parents, they were all I had,? Neiro explained coldly. He drew a sword from his belt. ?This was my father?s. I?ve always believed it was a sin to kill anything you weren?t going to eat, but I will gladly burn in hell for this revenge.? Moving too fast for the king to react, Neiro stuck the knife in the king?s neck. ?Consider this our declaration of independence,? he hissed. As Neiro withdrew the knife, he turned around. He didn?t want to see it, the blood. It made him feel like a child, but he couldn?t look. Neiro walked over to the nearest velvet curtain and wiped the knife off. He was blocking everything out? the garbled curses of the dying king, the smell of blood, the red stain he left on the curtain? he blocked it out and returned the knife to his belt. As Neiro walked back down the main isle of the throne room, past Loki and Edgar, the vines around the guards began to loosen. ?Have mercy on the guards,? Neiro whispered to Loki as he passed. With deceptive calm, Neiro left the throne room.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][COLOR=DarkGreen]Because all the knights were rushing to face the attackers, Neiro faced no resistance as he wandered the castle halls. He could hear shouts and screams and the clash of metal in the distance but he tried to shut it all out. Finally Neiro reached the throne room. No guards stood outside the door, so Neiro pushed the heavy, ornamented doors open. Instantly, a sword was at Neiro?s throat. ?Who are you?? the king boomed, glaring from his throne, surrounded by guards. ?I come from the village west of the great forest,? Neiro explained tonelessly. ?What I have to say to you is of utmost importance.? The king glared harder, but waved his hand, signaling for the guard to let Neiro go. The guard sheathed his sword and shoved the boy forward. ?What news is so important that you would come to me while my castle is under attack?? Neiro didn?t speak, but reached into his pocket. The guard was on him instantly. ?What do you have there?? the man shouted, his sword pointed at Neiro once more. Slowly, Neiro withdrew his hand from his pocket. He held out his hand and opened it, palm up. ?Seeds?? the guard whispered. ?What are you playing at boy?? Neiro turned his hand over and the seeds scattered all over the floor. ?Well, boy,? the king shouted, impatient, ?what do you have to say to me?? Neiro smiled a little. ?Let only me be free in this room, heed my command and restrain all who move against me.? As he spoke these words, this spell, the floor lit up with tiny green points of light? the seeds. The guard closest to Neiro shifted his weight uneasily and a blast of green light erupted beneath him. The guard screamed as a huge vine shot up from the ground, wrapping itself tightly around him. ?If you value you?re life, don?t struggle,? Neiro whispered to the guard. Seeing their comrade restrained, the other guards drew their weapons and charged the young sorcerer. Neiro ignored them and began walking towards the king? and the room was ablaze with green light?[/COLOR][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][COLOR=DarkGreen]When Neiro finally got to the castle, he found he wasn?t alone. Loki was there? slicing knights open left and right, knocking down the gates and entering the castle. The smell of blood was everywhere? so strong that it took all of Neiro?s self control to not be sick. ?This is my chance? the gates are open? this is my chance?? Neiro told himself. Ignoring the carnage, Neiro ran through the gates. When he reached the Crimson Slayer, Neiro stopped. Loki spun around and pointed his blood-drenched sword at Neiro. ?You aren?t a knight? why are you here?? Neiro took a deep breath in hopes of calming himself, but the dizzying smell of blood did not help him any. Instead, he swallowed hard. ?I have my own business here? Let me pass.? [/COLOR][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][COLOR=DarkGreen]?Have we? met? before?? Neiro repeated, understandably stunned. ?I... If we did, I don?t remember? I don?t remember you.? It was true that Neiro did not clearly remember the elf who stood before him, but there was something? a small tug at the back of his mind that told him this person was no stranger. Maybe he had been too young at the time to remember? or maybe it had been something so inconsequential that he just forgot. ?Kid!? Kenzai shouted with a slight smile, ?We just keep running into each other, eh?? Neiro sighed. ?I suppose we do.? Without even a goodbye, he turned to leave, praying the knight would not stop him.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[COLOR=DarkGreen][FONT=Times New Roman]Neiro sighed and dismounted the young brown horse he had managed to find. He gave the horse a good pat. ?You can go back to your master now, thank you for the ride.? The horse gave an energetic whinny and galloped off. ?Here at last,? Neiro said with a grin, looking up at the city gates. He silently fell in line beside a group of merchants and hoped for the best. ?What?s in the cart?? one of the two gatekeepers asked roughly. He looked the group over, his eyes narrowing when he saw Neiro. When the gatekeeper looked away, Neiro cringed. His green tunic stood out too much. Only people from his village wore green clothes? and his village wasn?t exactly in good standing with the king. The merchant bowed and lifted the cover of the cart to reveal piles of corn cobs. While the gatekeepers prodded the corn cobs, Neiro slipped through the open gate unnoticed. He quickly ducked behind a weaver?s stall and grabbed a shabby brown piece of cloth. ?Sorry about this?? he thought. He wrapped the cloth around him like a cloak, hiding his green clothes. As Neiro walked deeper into the city, he could hear the gatekeeper complaining to his buddy. ?Where did that boy with the green clothes go?? Neiro just grinned. Then, he turned the corner and his grin dropped right off his face. Kenzai and half a dozen others were standing right in front of him. ?I just can?t escape this guy, can I?? [/FONT] [/COLOR]

I just started watching this series about 3 weeks ago for no particular reason and through the magic of the internet I've seen through episode 48. I LOVE THIS SHOW! The characters are so different from eachother but all lovable. Wolfram and Conrad are my favorites. Wolfram because he's so funny bursting out in anger and Conrand for being an awesome swordsman and so hot! At first I thought Yuuri would be an annoying main character but after like 2 episodes I realized that I love him too. I think the show has a great balance of serious battles and hilarious situations. :rotflmao: This anime was WAY better than I expected and I'm so glad I started watching it. I heart sand pandas!

Kyryan?s blast had sent Maius flying into the nearest tree. The impact knocked him so hard that he completely lost consciousness. Inuyasha had managed to avoid any collisions with trees but the round of ?sits? he got from Kagome as punishment left him twitching on the ground. Sango approached Maius to check on him but Miroku blocked her path. ?It?s far too dangerous Sango! Please stay back until we are sure he has calmed down.? ?I suppose?? Sango began. Suddenly her cautious expression turned murderous. ?Is that your hand on my butt?? Miroku jumped back. ?Why so it was! Bad hand! Bad, bad hand!? Miroku laughed. ?Lecherous freak!? Sango shouted, hurling her Horaikotsu at Miroku. The monk dodged the attack and Sango caught her giant boomerang. ?I suppose he was just using the excuse of Maius being dangerous to cop a feel,? Sango thought. She knelt down beside the unconscious phoenix demon and shook him a little. More quickly than expected, Maius sat up, rubbing the side of his head. ?What happened?? ?You and Inuyasha had a little? um? fight, if you could even call it that.? Maius leapt to his feet. ?I didn?t kill anyone, did I? Please tell me I didn?t? not again?? ?Don?t you remember the fight?? Kagome asked. ?Did I hurt anyone?? Maius asked desperately. Miroku shook his head. ?No? everyone is fine.? Maius plopped down on the ground again, sighing with relief. ?That?s good. If I had hurt anyone? I?? ?What?s wrong with you?? Inuyasha shouted. ?You said you were going to fight me for real. Why are you letting that stupid Kyryan girl stop our fight?? ?I absolutely cannot fight you!? Maius shouted back. ?I lose all control in a serious fight.? ?I don?t care,? Inuyasha growled. ?SIT SIT SIT!? Kagome yelled at him. ?That?s enough Inuyasha!? Maius took that opportunity to get up and leave. ?Just a short walk to clear my head. I?ll catch up with you later,? he explained with a forced smile. No one objected and Maius left. When Maius was out of sight, he sank down against a tree and just sat there ?I can?t believe I lost it again? Damn you Father? I never asked to be a fighting machine.?

The waiting was getting to Ahru again. She found a small, flat stone, brushed the dust off of it and sat down. She glanced over at Felan to make sure he wasn?t causing trouble. He had plopped down on the ground and was tearing some twigs apart with all the anxious wrath of a bored little boy. Ahru let out an audible sigh of relief. She didn?t like being responsible for anyone else but by default she had been stuck with the cub. She gazed out across the disappointing landscape and, without really meaning to, let her mind wander. [COLOR=DarkRed][I]Ahru? that?s a pretty name. It suits you, I think.[/I][/COLOR] [COLOR=Sienna]Don?t say such stupid things.[/COLOR] [COLOR=DarkRed][I]Why not? Then what? What can I do to make you happy?[/I][/COLOR] ?Come back?? Ahru whispered aloud. Suddenly Felan let out a cry of surprise. ?GAH! It?s a? It?s a thing! Lady, come and look at this thing!? ?My name isn?t ?Lady? you idiot,? Ahru snapped as she made her way over to the Wolf cub. ?Hurry,? he whined, ?It?s gonna bite me!? She peered over his shoulder to see a small, ugly black creature pinned to the ground under his hand. The vile thing struggled and thrashed beneath Felan?s grip. The look on Felan?s face was a priceless mix of fascination and terror. ?I don?t want it to bite me?? He whined again. Ahru made a face and drew the knife the Crow had given her earlier. It was long, thin and slightly curved. She pushed Felan?s hand out of the way and pinned the creature down more securely. With one swift stroke of her knife the creature fell silent. ?You killed it?? Felan whimpered. Ahru glared at him. ?Of course. You said you didn?t want it to bite you.? Felan looked extremely distraught. ?It was just a little thing. You didn?t have to kill it. That?s just? that?s mean!? Ahru stabbed her knife in and out of the ground a few times to wipe it off. ?I have no pity for such wretched creatures.? ?But?? ?Your naiveté is sickening.?

[FONT=Times New Roman][COLOR=DarkGreen]Neiro had barely walked a quarter-mile before he dared to glance behind him. He was somewhat shocked that the knight was nowhere to be seen. There was some smoke in the distance but nothing that Neiro would bother himself with. ?I?m free of that knight at last,? Neiro sighed. He sat down on a fallen tree and opened up his pack. His money was gone now, lifted by some thief earlier, but he could deal with that. His most important possession, still sealed in its wooden box, remained safe with him. ?If I were to lose this?? Neiro shuddered at the thought of what would happen if the Traveling glass fell into the wrong hands. As Neiro closed up his pack again he heard a rustling behind him. A lone spider, separated from its brethren, leapt at him with its huge fangs bared. Neiro sighed. ?Good thing it?s only one.? He raised his hand towards the spider and focused his magic power. ?I?m not food and I won?t hurt you.? Neiro thought. Slowly, the spider backed off and scuttled away into the forest. Neiro smiled a little, proud of his successful and bloodless defeat of the giant spider. He shouldered his pack. ?Now, off to kill the king.? [/COLOR][/FONT]

What makes me choose to do one RPG over another is Character Design and Back Story. I have to like the plot and I have to have the inspiration for a character I actually like. But what makes me do RPG's in general is the writing. Writing is my hobby. I love coming up with characters and then writing about them. I do write longer things but its hard sometimes to get it finished. With RPG's you can take it one post at a time and the other players fill in the gaps. Its more fun I think. As an afterthought... I don't really pay too much attention to who is making/joining the RPG because I'm so focused on the plot. It does annoy me when people write a post and they don't have baisic grammar skills. I'm not perfect, I know, but I think my posts are easy to understand at least. I've had to re-read posts sometimes because it was so difficult to wade through the errors and ommissions. That doesn't affect me when I'm joining though.

With a sigh, Maius nodded. ?I suppose that?s good enough, yes.? Inuyasha turned and growled at Maius. ?That is NOT good enough. I don?t like all these people just showing up like this and expecting to travel with me. I would rather be alone than with all you newcomer weirdos!? ?That?s not a very nice thing to say, Inuyasha,? Kagome said with a frown. ?You used to want Miroku and Sango ang I to leave you alone and now we?re your friends.? ?Fine, fine,? Inuyasha muttered, ?I don?t mind the rest of you, but HIM?? Inuyasha pointed a clawed finger at Maius. ?I don?t like HIM at all. He seems like a liar to me. And I can?t stand his attitude! He?s worse than Koga and my brother combined!? Maius frowned. ?You may not like me, but I have not lied to you. You know far more about me than I know about you.? ?I was here first,? Inuyasha shouted. ?You said it yourself, you aren?t from around here. I don?t have to explain myself to you. Maybe you should just go back to where you came from!? Maius shook his head. ?I have something I need to do.? Inuyasha drew the Tetsusaiga. ?Fight me then!? ?I told you before?? But Maius got cut off by the irate hanyou. ?I said fight me, damnit!? Inuyasha lunged at the phoenix demon, slashing his sword. Maius dodged. ?I don?t want to fight.? Inuyasha attacked again. With a small blast of fire from his hand Maius deflected the blow. His expression had changed to something desperate. ?You?ll regret this, Inuyasha. Don?t challenge me, please.? ?Afraid to lose, bird-boy?? Inyasha laughed as he lunged with his sword again. Maius threw out a blast of fire that knocked Inuyasha back. He grinned darkly at Inuyasha. ?So you really want to fight me?? Two burning crimson wings erupted from Maius? back. ?You must really want to die.? Inuyasha leapt to his feet with a battle-ready grin. ?That?s more like it!? OOC: I hope this is okay? I was getting bored. Maius is sort of in berserker mode now!

Niero muttered, playing dumb. ?I think my grandpa used to tell me stories about that? the great fire wizard made it hundreds of years ago, didn?t he?? Kenzai nodded. ?You really think it?s real? My grandpa told some crazy stories?? Neiro sighed. ?It is real,? Kenzai explained, ?I?ve seen the other half.? Neiro feigned surprise. ?Other half?? Kenzai nodded again. ?After the wizard was put to death his two sons split the mirror in half. One half resides in the palace and the other has been lost for centuries.? ?Why bother looking for it then? What?s this ?traveling-glass? supposed to do?? Neiro asked. ?No one knows,? Kenzai replied honestly. ?Some say it cures any malady. Others say it grants wishes. Some people believe it contains all the wizard?s power and would enable the person with the whole mirror to control the world. The king thinks it will give him power.? Neiro couldn?t help but laugh, despite the fact that he was supposed to be ignorant. ?Why would the wizard call a power source ?the Traveling-glass? anyway?? Kenzai frowned. ?What do you think it?s for then?? Neiro narrowed his eyes. ?According to the legend I was told, it has the ability to do what has never been done before.? ?And that means what?? Kenzai sighed. With a shrug and a laugh Neiro turned around. ?I?m sick of going north. I?ve decided to go see the city. Either you come with me that way or you leave me alone.? [/COLOR][/FONT]

I started this journey with my own intentions and I want to finish it that way. I never asked for your help,? Neiro muttered. Kenzai frowned. ?Are you up to something?? ?No?? ?You?re an awful liar,? Kenzai sighed. ?I can?t just leave you now. You?re suspicious and you?ve got some pretty weird powers for a kid. Tell me what you?re up to.? Neiro was positively seething. ?Calling me a kid? How dare someone like you criticize me. At least I live on my own beliefs. At least I?m not some knight doing the king?s dirty work.? ?Eh? Is that how you feel?? Kenzai grinned. ?I don?t blame you. I don?t exactly like the king either. He?s trashed my family?s reputation and done things I don?t agree with? but It?s my honor as a knight not to betray him. ?Right now I?m looking for something. I started looking because my king told me to. I keep looking because I believe what I am searching for is mine by right.? Neiro studied the ground, considered what the knight had told him and then looked back up. ?What are you looking for?? Kenzai answered without hesitation. ?Perhaps you?ve heard of it? I seek the lost half of the magic mirror called the Traveling-glass.? Neiro?s voice left him. ?I?m in trouble,? he thought. [/COLOR][/FONT]

?They aren?t back yet?? Felan whined, looking around like he was lost. ?Are you sure we came back to the right place?? Ahru crossed her arms and glared at him. ?Doubting me, Wolf?? ?But they aren?t here?? Ahru pointed up at the hazy sun. ?The Jackal said to be back in an hour. It hasn?t been an hour yet. Just because we found something doesn?t mean they did.? ?Oh? But the place? What if this is the wrong place?? ?Over there are the rocks I wanted to make camp at earlier,? Ahru said, pointing at the small outcropping. ?And here are everyone?s foot prints. And with that nose of yours? can?t you smell everyone?s scent?? Felan nodded. ?I can! We ARE in the right spot. Do you always know stuff like that? Is it like a six sense?? Even as the Wolf cub spoke those words, they echoed in Ahru?s mind? in a very different voice. [COLOR=DarkRed][I]You read me like a book. Do you always know things like that? Is it your six sense?[/I][/COLOR] ?Sakis?? Ahru whispered. Felan cocked his head. ?What?? Ahru turned around and snapped at him. ?You talk too much!? He wouldn?t have wanted to leave an ordinary person to himself against these spiders, but obviously Kenzai was no ordinary person. ?This is my chance to get away from this knight!? Even as Neiro started to back away from the battle-enthralled knight he was starting to have second thoughts. This knight could use magic? that wasn?t exactly common. Should he stick around and get some more information? ?No,? Neiro decided, ?I can?t risk being found out.? With all the stealth of a forest animal, Neiro slipped away though the trees, leaving the spider-smashing knight behind. He honestly thought he had escaped Kenzai. Meanwhile Kenzai saw Neiro flee from the corner of his eye. He quickly turned the last spider into a charred, oozing pile of twitching legs. Kenzai gazed off in the direction Neiro had gone. ?Did he get scared and run off?? the knight sighed, ?I suppose I?ll have to go find him?? [/COLOR][/FONT]

He held the box out on his hand for a long time before finally whispering, ?My voice commands. Break thy seal.? With a small poping sound the once seamless box now had a crack running along its sides. Neiro lifted this newly-made lid and peered inside, unfolding a layer of small white cloth. Nestled firmly in the box, wrapped in the cloth, was half of a small glass disk. Neiro gazed down at his crisp reflection in the sliver-blue glass, brushing his fingers over it. With a relieved sigh Neiro covered the glass with cloth again and replaced the lid. ?Heed only me,? he chanted, ?Re-form thy living seal.? Obediently, the lid of the box melded with the base as if the wood were alive. Satisfied that his precious possession was safely stowed, Neiro placed the box in his pack. With one last glance around the tiny room he headed out the door. Niero brushed some of his bangs behind his ear as he bounced down the stairs and walked past the entrance to the tavern area. ?I?m returning the key,? Niero told the clerk seated behind a small desk. The clerk took the key and scribbled something on a sheet of parchment. ?That will be 23 copper pieces.? Neiro smiled. ?Oh, I?ve paid already. I paid yesterday.? The clerk scanned the parchment and shook his head. ?You haven?t payed.? Neiro?s smile faded. ?I did!? ?Not by my records.? ?I?m not going to pay twice!? The clerk smirked. ?Then I?ll have to tell?? He fell silent as dark figure loomed over him. The man was over 2 feet taller than Neiro and looked about 20 times stronger. ?I?ll pay for us both,? the man explained, setting a sliver piece on the clerk?s desk. The towering man turned to Neiro and ushered him out the door. Outside, Neiro jumped back away from the stranger. ?You didn?t have to do that. I really did pay already.? ?I know,? the man replied. ?But something you have to learn is that the clerk didn?t really care.? ?But that?s?? ?Dishonest?? The man interrupted, ?Of course it is. You?ll find that the closer you get to the city, the less honest people are.? He bowed slightly. ?My name is Kenzai.? Neiro held back. ?Why were you staying at the inn?? ?I?m a knight in search of something,? Kenzai explained. ?I stopped here to rest. What about you?? Neiro froze. A knight? In service of the king! This man was not to be trusted. ?I grew bored of my small town and decided to travel the kingdom. I?m finding it a difficult journey.? ?Where are you headed now?? In reality Neiro was headed east to the city, to the castle, to exact his revenge against the king. ?Oh, north, I think,? Niero lied. ?Then we can go together for a ways,? Kenzai explained. ?I?m headed north as well. Perhaps I can help you overcome your naiveté.? No matter how much he wanted to get away from this knight, Neiro knew that to disagree would look very suspicious. (please don't kill me for double posting, I'm doing it so people actually notice this post) OKAY!!!!! We're going to start a little earlier than expected but that's okay because you can take your time with this first post. Here's what we are trying to do... 1- Introduce your character... where are they? where do they plan on going? what are they doing? My character is initially traveling east towards the city but he's going to get sidetracked. The city where the king lives is to the east, the desert is to the south and the forest is to the west and north. 2- Meet up with other characters... Not everyone is going to be working together... some characters are going to meet eachother and decide that they want to travel together. Other characters would obviously prefer to be alone. My character will be meeing up with Kenzai at first and then getting sidetracked and probably meeting up with other people.
