I really, really liked both games, but they both had small things about them that I didn't like...For instance, the first game had no voice-acting ( :animecry: ) and this. Yeah, remember that from the second dungeon? Ok, it was a good idea, but...*shudders* The story was a little...lacking, I guess...but I never noticed ;) The second game's georama system scared me...A little too much freedom for me, I guess...but these are little things that would most likely never annoy someone else, right? But, on the up side, the game was all around awesome and one of the most unique games I've ever played.

"Mister, how do you get rocks to fly so high?" A little child asked through a loose tooth, eyes sparkling in admiration. Aidan made a motion with his right hand as if asking someone to sit and a rock, about as large as his head and floating in the air near the branches of a tree, slowly made its way to the ground, landing with a soft clink. Aidan looked to the girl who had asked the question, emerald eyes questioning her motives. Hmmm, is she asking merely out of curiosity? he asked himself mentally before replying. "How high can you make them float?" The girl sniffled. "Not very high...And I can only do little rocks. See?" She pointed towards a rock laying next to her on the grass and bit her bottom lip, concentrating all of her will power into making it move. Surely enough, the rock wobbled and lifted into the air, slowly rising to the same height as Aidan's flying rock had. Suddenly, the rock dropped and the girl swayed, falling into Aidan's arms. He frowned. "You shouldn't push yourself, Tari. You may have overdone it," he explained, standing Tari up straight but holding onto her arms to prevent her falling over. "Magic takes practice. If you want to do something great, start small." When he was sure that Tari wouldn't fall over again, he stood and picked up his small pile of books. "Mister?" Tari asked innocently. "I believe that it's about time that you return to your family..." Aidan replied, walking away in the forest.

Sign Up Duality (M-VL, S if you want it)

Here's to hoping I can still role-play! :animesmil Name: Aidan Age: 24 Gender: Male World of Birth: That Other One Race: Human Appearance: Aidan is rather short for his age, about three to four inches less than the average height. His hair is grey, cut short and slightly ruffled, and brilliant green eyes. Due to his hobbies, his skin is pale. Clothes-wise, he wears a loose dull red tunic, long brown pants, and black shoes. Covering this is a tan and brown manteau. His expression is usually one showing deep thought. [see attachment] Personality: Introverted, quiet, and always thinking, he rarely speaks unless absolutely needed, such as when he can't figure out a situation. In any situation, he'll analyze the actions and words of others to make sense of their motives. He doesn't trust easily and will only become social if the conversation's subject is suddenly turned to talking about magic. He's also very strong-willed and sometimes a little sarcastic. As an added note, he claims that his best quality is "Being able to keep [his] mouth shut when others fail to do so." Biography: Making a living from his magic expertise (Such as tutoring those who haven't quite caught onto it), his only really friends being writings, Aidan is a typical loner. He was an orphan raised by a book-keeper, starting his love of books. From these books he learned that he was fairly adept at magic. Generally, he sits alone in trees, reading and casting a random spell here and there, and dreaming of a world he thinks couldn't exist: One devoid of the boundaries even magic has. This is the only drawing I have of Aidan at the moment...Yeah...Just try to imagine him not...chibified... :animeswea Picture of Aidan {EDIT: Aye aye! I edited his age just a little bit there...Huh...oldest character I've ever played as before...O_o -
Yes, are the sign-ups going to be sometime soon? *starry eyes expression* I'd be happy to play as a character from the magic-y world place. Like Frankie, I barely know anything about military terms and the like... Hehe! Finally, a role-play that brings military, futuristic sci-fi, and fantasy together! :animesmil
-
Dang, you rock. :animestun You made the drawing look really realistic! I tried, failed a few times, then finally had a success at drawing something that can be considered a self-portrait, anime-style. Ta...da? I literally look like I just barely crawled out of bed...Lack of glasses...heh...

*Thinks hard, then grins* That is so twisted... Count me in! :smirk: I really like this idea. The first time I read through it, it was like..."Okay...?" But I've really gotten attached to it! I say do it!

I have a poodle. His name is Clancy. :animesigh I honestly don't know what to think about this dog...He's insane...but in a cute way! He's also the doorbell. We can now tell when someone we know is at the door or if it's someone we don't know thanks to the tone of Clancy's barking. I also have two rabbits. Well, they're actually my evil little sister's, but I'm the one taking care of them. One is black and the other, older one is white. The white one, Ivory, is scared to death of anyone but myself, and the little one, Ebony, used to be known as the Bunny From Heck. The evil bunny screamed at me!!! :animestun

Does everyone have an ocarina now?! :animedepr I had one too, but it broke about a year ago...Clay ocarinas plus great heights is not a good combination! And to stay on topic, OOT gave me the inspiration to get an ocarina as well. :animeswea Another video game that influenced me was Dark Cloud 2. Now I just want to go invent something...Like that automatic napkin poker...

I'm going to Cancun, Mexico in early August! *does a short happy dance* I'm a little worried about hurricanes, however...That and the heat. My dad checked the weather and the temperatures for that week will be 91, 91, 91, 91, 89, and 91. The 89 is a thunderstorm. :animeswea EDIT: Oh dear...hello hurricane... :animesigh
It amazes me how many people classify a "perfect" villian by such a horrible cliche. Cold and calculating? Hell, no. A[B] true villian is someone who knows how to get into your head and turn you about. It doesn't need to kill thousands of people or tear people apart -- it needs to turn you about. A sadist who can thumb through your brain like an open book would be my pick[/B']. He enjoys his 'work' and he knows how to ruin you forever. There's no stopping someone who is DRIVEN and motivated to do something, especially when this person knows what the hell they're doing. Someone distant and stoic will only look at something with a degree of professional knowledge; someone with a desire to destroy and obliterate you will be so passionate about it they won't think twice about anything.
Chaos, you rock. Thanks for mentioning the bolded text. Added to that, I think that a villain shouldn't TRY to be 'evil', but should seem to do it naturally. Evil laughter seems like a desperate attempt to seem evil to me. In fact, if a villain that I absolutely knew was bad came up to me with a smile and a wave, I think I would run in terror.

Writing Regret of a Shadow (with rating! ^^;) [E-PG]

A billion and two thanks to Lady Asphyxia for pointing out the rating system to me! > -
Well, video games have gotten me into sword-fighting...A lot...And that got my friend's into it a little bit, but not enough. Now, whenever I pick up a stick, they all run... :animedepr Anime, on the other hand...Huh...Well, if I had never gotten into Pokemon in 2nd grade, I would be one heck of a loner at school. So anime pretty much pushed my life in the right direction. :animesmil I've got a lot of cool friends now.

I refuse to named the state in which I live simply because every single time I say it some smart-alec has to turn it into a joke... :animeangr You can probably guess the stat just from that though, huh... :animeswea The city, however...can't even be called a city...The population, last time I checked, was 700. We have two stores and two schools, elementary and high school, and the closest Wal-Mart is about 30-some miles away. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I kind of like it here. Everyone knows each other very, very well. *a lone tumbleweed blows by and a coyote howls in the distance* Yep, that's about it...
-
The three schools in my town all have their own hierarchy that I shall now explain. *clears throat* Ahem! In the Elementary School, there are basically three groups: The mini-cowboys, the rebels, and those who just don't care. I was a Rebel! Rock on! We were constantly at mini-war with the Cowboys...Ah, good times, good times... In Middle School, everyone got along better, but the 'those-who-just-don't care-group' split into the 'people who everybody likes group' and the 'girls who like boys WAY too much group.' :animestun Me = Still with the Rebels. I'm still the middle of my summer vacation, so I'm not sure how High School will turn out, but it will most likely remain as it was. And am I hallucinating, or was this an old-thread-that-got-renewed...? I have a nagging feeling...*goes to check* EDIT: Ah, good! It wasn't! All is well! :animeswea

My taste in music, if anything, is very, very random. I hear a song and like it, I hunt it down, capture it, and stuff it into my collection. The three songs I'm listening to the most are, in order: In the Shadows by The Rasmus Inner Universe by someone-who-I-cannot-remember-at-the-moment-but-it's-the-ending-theme-song-of-Ghost In The Shell Hero by Nickelback, desperately trying to get inspiration for the remainder of a story contest entry. The rest is stuff like video game music, random rock, and whatever is pleasing to the ears at any given time.
