1.
Ah, you have succeeded in making me very angry... You are such a typical "I'm a goth because I'm depressed" person. Being depressed doesn't make you a goth, wearing black doesn't make you a Goth, either. God! It riles me so much to read a post like this. My mother can get depressed because of all the **** she's been though, she likes to wear black, but does that make her a goth? No! I wish people like you would stop clinging to stereotypes and labels like that, you only seem foolish and totally unoriginal. Don't you want to be unique? (Raiyuu, if this is out of order I humbly apologise but I'm sick of reading these kind of posts in this thread.)
Like I was saying, I'm not a labelling fan, but that is very true. Just because you wear black doesn't make you a Goth, it just means black is most likely your favorite color to wear. And being depressed doesn't make you a Goth, it sometimes makes you an annoying pessimistic. (key word-SOMETIMES) I think there are different definitions for the word, though, in different areas, so if this is wrong for most of you then I apologize, but....At the school I went to this past school year, you were considered a 'Goth' if you were Satanism in religion, listened to a lot of heavy metal or anything along those lines, dressed in pretty dark clothes (not always in black, though, just a lot of black and red, really), MAYBE were suicidal to some degree, and were pretty antisocial. At my school, having those attributes made you a Goth---but only if you had ALL of them (except the suicidal thing, but I mentioned that because all the kids labelled as Goths at that school actually were suicidal). Though, like I was just saying, just because you're like that won't always make you Gothic. It just did at the school I went to, though probably not at other places at all. But then again the school I went to was very hypocritical and I definitely bet they were wrong.
 2. Well, this was a funny yet random thing I saw--- My parents are divorced, and live over 700 miles apart, so we always take the highway to get from one parent to the other when visiting. Well, after visiting my dad for two weeks, we were on the highway to go home, when we see that some dark green painted limo is alongside us, and someone has their head sticking out of the sunroof, and-for reasons beyond my realm of understanding-a cat is clinging to his head. I dunno who the heck he was, but we all started laughing hysterically when we all saw that.
 3.
Can someone please gimme a hand. I am trying to use links from the otaku quiz area and it won't let me paste the link it gives you and still get the pictures in your signature! :animecry: Any ideas?
(I have an account on myO, but I never take their quizzes, so I don't know if this is an option, but I'll give it a try.) If you have an account on imageshack or photobucket, then save the picture to your computer and upload the picture into your account. If it's on photobucket (I don't know how it works on imageshack, I'm a photobucket user), then when you upload it into the page there should be three codes below it. Copy and paste the IMG code into your signature. And that's all there is to it. ^__^
 4. I'm not exactly an obsessive, athletic, sport's loving, jock-person, but there are some sports I am really fond of. For one, I have always loved soccer practically since the day I was born, but I don't think I'd ever be accepted on a team for it, considering I am as bad at it as the sky is blue. :animeswea Another sport I really like is baseball, which I used to never be into until my dad took me to a baseball game at Cinergy Field in Cincinnati before it was torn down and rebuilt recently. After seeing an actual live game I've really gotten into it, but like soccer and other sports, I like it, but I'm not god at it. Thirdly, I'm a huge football fan, hence my hyperactively excited personality when Superbowl Sunday starts coming around. But, for the third time, I watch, not play. Finally, the one sport I like and can play, is lacrosse. I never really knew anything about it until just this past school year when we took a P.E. unit on it, and it turns out it's actually a sport I'm good at. Sadly, the year was almost over when we took that unit, so I wasn't able to join the Girls' Lacrosse team, unless there's one where I'm living now. Not a lot of sports listed, but they're all my favorites.
 5. I recently moved in with my dad, who has no pets, but before I did, I had a dog. His name's Buster, and he's a black lab / collie mix. Why we named him Buster, though, is beyond me. Guess we just liked the name. He was a present given to me for my tenth birthday nearly four years ago, but when I moved, he stayed behind with my mom, stepdad, and brothers. As for any funny stories...well, I have two to share. First off, Buster has a nickname, and we call him "The Curtain Dog". Most people don't know why, but the reason is that, well...in the living room of my old house, we have really long curtains that reach to the floor. Buster has a habit of sleeping behind the curtains, and when he wakes up, he tries to poke his head out from under them, but ends up with the curtain covering his eyes, which is a really funny sight. Then, we also learned that he's a better mouser than some cats. During winter, we got a mouse in our home, but our cat we had at the time didn't bother trying to catch it. One day when we got back from visiting a friend's house, we actually saw that Buster was in the kitchen, growling, for some reason. We went in and saw that the mouse was out, in the middle of the floor, and it kept pawing at him, which made Buster keep batting his paw back at the little guy. This went on for about ten minutes, until finally Patches (she was the cat we owned at the time, but she ran away a week after this happened) comes in and scares it away. A week later, just before Patches had run away, Buster was the one to catch it, not her.
 6. I, like Japan, don't agree. Like her, I've met people with my name, and they are all completely different. My name is Ashley, and out of the 13-14 I've known, most were preppy, cheerleader-like people, a couple were completely Satanist, and one of them was a very kindhearted person. Also, I know people by the names you'vwe mentioned, and their personalities are completely different than how you said they were. For one, my stepbrother's name is Greg, and he is nothing close to a lying show-off. As a matter of fact, the Greg I know is completely honest, and he is pretty much a child's person, I've seen that little kids love him, and I've never seen him show off with any fancy words or such. And although I do know an Ian who is a hard worker, I also know another one who is the complete opposite, very lazy, and he's also an idiot. And when it comes to people named Edward. I knew one, he didn't freak out over every little thing. He was actually really fun to be around. And, finally, what you said about Ryan's has to be the one I agree with least. My older stepsister is married to a Ryan, and he is nowhere near how you described people with that name. The Ryan I know is a very cool guy, and like the Edward I know, he is fun to be around. As for the other names...I have no comments, because 1-I have never known anyone by the name Chelsea or Emily, and 2-my little brother's name is Jacob, but he's just a baby-a little to young to predict how he's going to be. EDIT-
How would you know he was honest? What if he was just a really good lier?
I just wanna say that if he tells me he's gonna take me to a mall in a week and actually keeps his word about it, or when he tells me he is going to a concert and shows me pictures he took at it, he cannot lie that much.
Well... At the very least, he'll get along with Bloodseeker.
:animeangr There is no predicting how someone will be based on their name. You might as well be saying that someone's little sister Amy's gonna hate everybody when she grows up. There's my case and point, and I shall say nothing further, as there is no point arguing with someone who apparently has a very limited trust factor to think that someone they don't even know could lie about everything. And besides, judging people on their names is proof that you people probably don't get out much.
 7. Almost a week ago I was living in Pine Bush, New York, or what my friends and I have called "Cow Farm Central" or "Crackhead City" behind its back. Which both are perfectly descriptive. Now, I live in Ludlow, Kentucky, and have yet to know anyone here, but that's because I just got here a few days ago. :animeswea
 8. I really hate being labelled more than anything (although my usernames in some sites usually have 'Punk' in them, but that doesn't make me a freaking hypocrite!), but sadly, it was at my old school. There, I was considered an outcast, and to some people Goth, and to others emo (call me emo and you will die a painful death), but on the bright side---everyone also knew me as the-kid-among-the-few-who-actually-have-drawing-talent. When it comes to what stereotypes ruled that school, poretty much three dominant ones. Preps, Jocks, and Ditzes. I was friends with many girls labelled as ditzy girls, but otherwise---just about all the popular preps and jocks were usually in the top ten on my 'To Kill List'. In short, the old school sucked straws, and at least now I have moved away to a state over 700 miles away. Though I'll miss my friends.
 9. The best ones I know are..... "I lost my library card, but can I still check you out?" - a kid asked my best friend that one. She laughed at him. XD "Is there an airport nearby or is that my heart taking off?" - heard that one on t.v. "You know how they say we only use ten percent of our brains? I think we only use ten percent of our hearts." - It's from that new Wedding Crashers movie. Not stupid, but I thought it was too cute not to post.
Baby, my love for you is like diahrrea: I just can't hold it in.
Good Ra, that's TERRIBLE! *laughs hysterically* :rotflmao:
 10.
Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum. My name is Marina and like many here i'm an aspiring manga artist. I thought I could put up one of my drawings and get some feedback from you guys, if you would be so kind to give me your opinion. (^_^) This is a self portrait that I made for my blog. But since I originally toned it to be printed, I had to resize it for getting it online, which messed up the tone a little bit, sorry. (^ ^); It was hand drawn and inked, then scanned and toned in the computer. Ok, please tell me what you think. Thank you! --- NOTE: I think I posted this on the wrong place. I should have put it in the Art Studio, I think, but I don't know how to move the post there. Waah. (>_
 11.
I've finally broke down and set to trying to figure out the only program on my camputer that can make banners. I don't think I'm that good yet, considering the time and that this is my first attempt but, I plan to get better. Well here's my first ever banner. Please don't critzie me by going easy on me because its my first try. I want to cold hard truth. What do I need to change? Do you like? Does the text look good? And any other things that you feel like pointing out. Oh and tell me if the image doesn't show up.
I personally like it. I'll admit, as said by Morpheus, the words don't exactly match up to the person's expression, but otherwise, I think you did a pretty good job. I'd give it, out of 10, a 6.
