1. Nate was just sitting there at the window of the hotel room. He was on the 40th floor of a rather prominent hotel, frequented by his normal clientel. He stared at the red sun rising on the horizon, just beyond the limits of the city. It was almost like he was in a trance. Like the world around his ceased to be and the only thing left was him and the red light of the early morning sun. He stood there for a few minutes with the a letter clasped loosely in his left hand and a glass of red wine in his right. Most would think it rather bad to be drinking this early in the morning, but it's not like anyone was going to stop him. He was all alone in his room. He soon came out of his daze and went to the wall by the window and pulled the blinds shut on the window. He set the letter down on a near by table and rubbed his eyes. He looked about the hotel room. He looked to the thrashed king size bed he had slept in last night and in it was the girl he had brought back with him. She wasn't the first and she wouldn't be the last. He didn't feel like waking her and instead collected his clothes and went ot the bathroom for a shower. He stood in the spray of hot water, still traped by the thought of this letter for a new "job" he had just recieved. Not only could he not tell where it came from, but it had no signature, nor contact information. It was less like a proposal and more like a demand. As unnerving as the letter itself was, he couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue in the idea. It seemed to offer a stable client base and could help him move forward to new thresholds in his career. He spent rougthly fifteen minutes in the shower before stepping out and drying himself off. He looked at himself in the mirror for a minute. The ran his hand through his orange hair and seemed to sone out for a moment as he did so. He snapped back to almost instantly. He shook his head and let his hair in it's normal mess. He picked his coat up off the ground threw it on over an old plain white-T. By the time he came back out of the shower, in much the same mess he was when he went in, the girl from last night had already woken up and was getting dressed herself. The two looked at each other for a moment. She smiled to him as she finished buttoning her pants and causally walked out the door. Nate stood there for a moment as if he was uncertain of what to do. He then simply continued about his business as if nothing had changed. Once all was gatherd and he was all set to leave this hotel once again, he again contemplated the letter. It said that if he was "prepared" to go to the roof. It seemed like a setup, but if someone was out for him, why not take him out when they left the letter on his bed. If they could get that close, they had no need to lure him out some where to take him out. Unless the angel was intimidation! There were to many pieces and no way to fit them all together. If he wanted to know, he would have to go to the roof and confront whatever wait there for him. Nate stepped out of his room, his duffel bag flung over his shoulder and his sword in his hand. He looked to the far end of the hall to his right and saw the elevators. He started to walk toward them and knew this was the moment of choice. What he did here would decide what happend to him next. Like there was any other chance. He was far too curious to let it end here. And with no hesitation or concern, he walked into the elevator car and headed for the top floor, from which, he took the emergency stair case to the roof. When he stepped out on the roof he saw no one standing immediatly in front of the door, or in plain sight from that vantage point. This made this whole thing feel even more like a set up. But still, he continued out onto the roof after only a moment of hesitation. Once out he looked around the back of the door leading to the roof and noticed someone in the far left hand corner of the roof, off set against the morning sunlight. Nate stood still for a moment and called out to the figure standing in the corner "Are you the one who sent me this letter!? Well, come on. Say something!" The figure didn't move, and he couldn't tell if they were facing him or the sun, but either way there lack of response both irratated and worried him. Finally after what seemed like an eternity of silent anguish and uncertainty the figure responded in a cold and emotionless over tone "Yes. I have been sent to retrieve you." Nate stood still for a moment. The tone of the person was almost robotic, but the voice was almost certainly that of a human. A womans to be more percise. The "woman" then moved forward, revealing a red cloak that coverd her face and the rest of her form. This was only making Nate even more irratable and concerned. The figure then half turned to it's right "The gate will lead you to the ship, sir. Please step inside." What gate was she talking about? The only thing there was the glaring sunlight, but still. He walked forward, as if he was truly going for this long hallway that was obviously not there. He stepped closer to the ledge of the roof and toward the sun. As he approached he felt the preassure on his feet seem to lift and the light seemed to be growing brighter as well. The colors of the light seemed to purge from red to white and then he walked on to this silver platform and standing in front of him was another young man, with yet another cloaked escort
2. I think for the most part that people have put too much concern into this. I do acknowledge that it is a genuine threat that needs to be dealt with, but I don't believe we are in any immediate threat of a mutaition and mass infection. First off, the cases in the US have been very limited because of quick containment and the all around limitations of the virus. The area it stands most prominent is in the middle east, which is the area in a much more immediate threat of a major out break. In this country I have enough faith in our polticians to know to cut off all public transit between us and them if the out break should begin. If nothing else, our politicians are great cowards and will cover there own butts pretty quick. However, the media in this country have done a fabulous job of making every body in this country paranoid about the "eminent" threat to public health and safety. One thing about americans is that they get real scared real fast, and the media exploits that to a great degree. Am I concerned, a little. I'll admit that it's troubling. But not for the epidemic potential, but rather for the fact that this virus has changed the face of terrorism. Consider it: Now a terrorist need only get through with a dead pigeon and he could kill thousands of people in an airport. The messy works of bombs are over. That is the source of my greatest concern.
3. I've gone by a saying that my grandmother taught me going up. "Always shot for the moon, cause if you miss you'll still land among the stars." I like to try for everything and always try to look at the out come with a positive light. No point in getting yourself upset. The energy you waste getting all upset and in a fit over something could be spent making up for falling short, by getting better.
4. Name: Delvin"Del" Age: 18 Gender: Male Personality: Calm, cool, and calculating. He has very little visible emotion, in fact the most common visible emotion he shows is in combat and it is a much more menical one, but is constantly in thought and examines people very closely. He is very choosey with those he trusts, but those he does deam trust worthy he will trust to within a fault. He is an intellectual. He is also kind and considerate, even if its' hard to tell sometimes, he does have genuine concern for the well being of his friends. Those who know him well enough have come to learn this. Race: Watcher- A race born to mortals, but cursed by the black mark at birth(i.e. the black mark is a black cresent moon on the back of the neck.) They are both cursed and blessed with the dark powers of the underverse. Creatures of perpetual chaos, caught between the worlds of light and living and darkness and death. Appearance: [See attachment] Weapon: He uses a light weight katana. White in color, typical of his races need for some kind of balance. He uses it to concentrate his dark energies. The sword acts as a conduit for his magic and also acts is his melee combat. He thinks fast and he fights fast, favoring great speed and agility to simple brute strength. Magic/Abilities: His magic favors more toward the dark side, with such spells that manipulate shadows and attacks that focus on a pure black aurora. Though his skills do dip into support magic he uses to boost his speed and strength to give himself and edge in combat.
5. Name: Alex Towman Age/Sex: 16/Male Race: Human Allegiance: None Allignment: Neutral Physical Appearance:Alex. He is about 5'9 and weights about 135 lbs. He's of a moderate build and has amber brown hair. Personality: Laid back and easy going. Loves to eat and just laze about for the most part. He is often critisized for his laziness and his lack of motivation to anything other then goot off. He likes to cause trouble and likes things to stay steady and calm. He is not a big one on change. He's a slob and has no form of cleaning habits. Pet Peeves: He hates strict rules and those who try to enforce them. He hates being told what to do. Special Possesions: He has the googles that belonged to his dad, who raced motorcycles. He also has the Kawasaki motorcycle his father left for him as well. Background: His mother died shortly after child birth. There was a tear and the bleeding wouldn't stop. That's all he was ever told about his mothers death. His father did alot of traveling, so he spent alot of time living with relatives. His father was a big name on the racing circuit and traveld all over the place for races. Alex had no real coddling or any kind of affection in his childhood, so he has developed a distance between him and his family. He watched his dads races on TV alot, he even saw his dads accident. It didn't kill him, but it left his in a wheelchair, which meant his career as a racer was over. Alex thought this would be time for him and his father to finally spend some time together, but whatever spark his dad had was gone after that. It was like part of him died on that course. He often watches that video over and over again, trying to figure out not just who or what went wrong, why it happend to him. Because of this the rift between father and son has grown only deeper. They live in the same house, living off his fathers pention and savings in a mild comfort. His father might be alive, but with how he is he might as well be dead. Despite this, Alex still holds onto his fathers old googles and motocycle. He's attending school and plans to go to college, but he doesn't really know what for. He has no dreams or asperations of his own. He just lives day by day, like he's just waiting for something to come along.
6. Aaron followed the soilder to the dark, subterranean cave that would lead them into the forest. They stopped at the entrance to the cave where yet another soilder stood ready to debrief the group of four. He looked each one over, then began to speak "Follow this cave through til you reach the exit, about 300 feet from here. It's a straight shot so you won't get lost. Move swiftly casue the defenses can't hold forever." And with a simple nod in reply, Aaron ran ahead into the cave and was headed for the exit which was already coming into veiw. They had done well to cover it, since all that was visible to signify what it was, was a simple ring of light. Aaron could hear the others coming close behind him, as he turned over the cover on the top of the exit. He jumped out of the hole and ran off to start flanking the enemy forces. He could hear the others doing the same as they too came out into the light. Aaron broached the right flank at about 400 feet from the gate. He threw himself straight into the fray with great vigor and speed. In a single black flash three soilders fell and the formation aroud them began to collapse at the sight. This was actually turning out well, with the loss of formation there strength against the fortress was but a shell of what it once was. Aaron had drawn off some attention and was luring them off course, only appearing briefly to strike and kill, then hiding in the forest. He struck in black slurs, with rapid movement that truly showed his monsterous nature. He had already struck down 14 soilders and he could hear the chaos as the others of his groupw were striking else where on the formation. But this was only the begining of there objective. They still had to find the commander in charge, who was undoubtedly bringing up the rear, near the center. Aaron decided it best for the team to regroup and strike as one on a single point. They were still missing one of there members, but they still had more then enough power to do what they needed to. Aaron turned to leave the battlefront and seek out the others, when he could feel the pull of Tollack on his consious. The blood of battle was his bread and butter. It was obviously getting him all whiped up in a frenzy. Aaron could feel him burning in the back of his eyes and mind.
7. Name: Demian Rowe Gender: Male Age: 26 Faction: Jade Dragon Race: Lexian. A race of beings that are referred to as the angels of the orchards. Beings born with wings, but are incapible of actual flight. The wings do werve to increase speed and agility, as well has jumping height and distance. Appearance: Demian. Personality: He is loyal and strong willed. He carries on, not in the name of his faction, but in the name of his family and friends. He aims to become the strongest and the greatest, and one day dreams to rise to the petal throne. His eyes reflect mercy into the souls of those he seeks to protect, and hardens with fear those who would stand in his way. Bio: Born in an upper class family, he was blessed at an early age with great fighting potential. His family was a long line of warriors and are among the four royal familes of the Jade Dragons. He was instilled with pride of his clan and of his kind at an early age as well. He was brought up so he might someday become the head of the family and take the Petal Throne. His father was among those who served directly under the head of the faction. Despite his high postion, his fathers only loyalty was to his family. He brought up Demian, teaching him to protect and conquer in the name of his family. And even shared with him a conspiracy to someday usurp the chiefton and take his place at the top. Demian was sent to train in the moutains of the mist to the north where he became versed in the ways of tatsu. Like those of his clan he took these values to heart and held them with the highest regard. They often conflicted with his up bringing, but he still held fast to the values his family instilled with him.
8. If your looking for another harem anime try "Dual: Parallel Adventure" It's from the same crew that did Tenchi Muyo. It's much the same style, with giant mecha instead of aliens. You'll probably enjoy it. It has a great sense of humor and alot of romance to it.
9. Aaron stood around watching as the numbers of people grew larger and larger. Three more people for his Delta Team had arrived and two more for the Alpha team. It was still kind of akward to think of it as "his" Delta team. Not only did he not know these people, but he also wasn't much of a team player. Hell, he was a one man team, what with Tollack and all. Aaron looked toward Vincent, then to Teris, and then to Daethios. This was the team he was suppose to lead into the depths of the forest against an unknown enemy, with unknown force. All he could do was wonder what might happen if Tollack came out in the middle of combat. His voice was still echoing around in his head, coming and going in spells. It was like a chronic disease. he could hear him "Come on, let me cut her. Just once, just a few drops of her blood." Aaron simply ignored him and kept his focus as Tollack continued on "These soilders stink of fear. I want to eat there pudtride souls. I want to taste the womans flesh." There was no end to it. Aaron was leaning off against the wall just beside the gate as they waited for the others, trying to remain silent. Tollack was feeling very talkative with a battle at hand and everything. Aaron had finally had enough, as he whisperd to try to avoid stares "Your not coming out, and your not going to put a mark on either of the girls." Tollack began to scream "Who said you could speak! This is my body, you just need to hurry up and go to sleep you piece of shit." The angry slurs feel out of audible focus. It was at this time that aaron realized that some of the others had turned there attention to him. To them he seemed to be just talking to himself, since they couldn't hear Tollack. aaron just glanced up, then went silent again.
10. Aaron found his way to the fortress without incident. Why he was cooperating with the warrior's guild was still unclear, even to him. This wasn't his normal thing, fighting with some organized, militaristic team, he usually preferd to be on his own, but the he couldn't just ignore the situation anymore. He was standing just in front of the large main gate. He looks up to the top of the gate and waves to the guard standing at the top "I am Aaron Tellis. I'm reporting for the mission." The guard waved back and the massive gate creeked it's way open. Aaron looked inside to see two others standing in front and to the left side of the gate. A young man and a young woman standing with each other. Aaron looked to the two of them for a moment and then proceeded inside. Upon entering a red haired gentleman seemed to appear and came over to Aaron and put out his hand "Welcome Mr.Tellis, I am the commander of this operation, my name is Rufus." Aaron looked to the mans hand for a bit, then hesitantly shook it. He then looked back to the other two then back to Rufus who continued on "These two will be on team Alpha, while you will be leading team Delta." He then went over to the blonde man of the Alpha team "This is Hiro, he will be commanding the Alpha team. If you have any further questions speak to myself or him." Rufus then nodded to Aaron as another soilder came over to him, whisperd something in his ear and the two then left. Aaron then looked to Hiro, the alpha team leader, and approached him "What is our mission?" Hiro then went over the mission objective with him, letting Aaron know what he was suppose to be doing with his team. It was at this time that Aaron started hearing Tollack again "This is crap. Why don't we just get to work." Aaron simply ignored him, as he usually does. Tollack kept going on and on, feeding thoughts of murder and death as usual. But Aaron was in control, so there was nothing to worry about, Tollack would soon get tired and go to sleep again. Hiro finished up the mission summary and Aaron nodded. He then turned from Hiro and went to the opposite side of the gate and awaited the arrival of the rest of his team.
11. It has nothing to do with being right or wrong Katana, it has to do with efficiency. Like I mentioned before, this initiative to get rid of them is done by these stupid, redneck, super patriots and them singing in spanish and waving Mexican flags is only hindering there cause. If they want to gain some leverage, then trying to hurt the economy will be a fruitless effort. If these guys were that up on the economy, then they wouldn't have re elected Bush. No, instead they need to be showing some grandious patriotisism. They need to look the most American American's, as stupid as that may sound.
12. I think alot of the protesters went about it the wrong way. You've got to remember who wants to see this bill passed. We're talking about these massivly patriotic redneck types and you have these immigrants waving Mexican flags and singing the star spangled banner in spanish. Listen, there's nothing wrong with having pride in you heritage, but if you want to get these people to let you stay here, you've gotta look like the biggest damn group of American patriots there has ever been. I don't know how many of you heard about this, but who heard about the protest on monday that failed, because 3000 people turned out and every singel one was and illegal, and was arrested at the protest. Like I said, it was a good idea that was largely poorly executed. That's my first complaint. Number two is, if you so deperatly need money, then what the hell are you cutting your sub minimum wage job for. If you need money that bad, your *** needs to be at work. Not protesting. You need to be earning money to feed your starving family. All in all, I know that most of the work in america is done by illegals, that's fine, I can deal with that. I'm not into the whole "There taking American jobs" crap. Yeah like any of these clowns wants to sell oranges out of a paper bag. Bottom line, If your an illegal, fine. But since your an illegal who doesn't have to pay taxes, then you don't get to vote, you don't get social security, you don't get medicare, and you don't get to use public sevices. It's a little something called paying in. If you don't pay, you don't play.
13. If you want something gory along with some sappy romance scenes, some comedy and some perverse torture, both physical and psychological, then might I suggest to you a series known as Elfen Lied. It has it's moments were it seems very tame, but let me worn you, the opening scene to this anime will set the mood for the rest of the series. I won't spoil it for you, you'll just have to go out and see it. There's lots of fan service, but it's done in such a digusting and perverse way sometimes, it's hard to find it in anyway arousing, let me just say. Still, this is a great series with some great plot twists. If you like gore and romance and even a little comedy, then you'll probably like this one. As long as you can deal with some of the almost frightening things done to the villians and the protaganists.
14. Derrick came in following Char. Derrick flung his silver hair over his shoulder as he watched Char make a beeline for the new girl. Ever the ladies man that one. He had a libido to rival a bull in heat. Derrick just watched him move toward her and smirked. He took the desk just to Char's right and looked to him "You never change, do you?" Char smiled his notorious grin "All in a days work. Besides, you know you'd miss it if I acted like a stiff all the damn time." The two chuckled a bit til there homeroom teacher made her appearance. They had Ms. Elker this year, one of the new teachers. This was gonna be a fun year. Either she would get used to there hellish attitude or she would quit in a week. Either way, it was all still fun. This lady however made it apparent immidiately that she wasn't going to take any crap "Alright slap heads, shut up and start listenting. I'm Ms. Elker and no matter how hard you think you are, I promise you that you don't even know hard yet." Derrick had never that many spines straighten at once. This chick even got Char's attention pretty damn fast. If all the new teachers were like this chick, they were in for one hell of a year. With that, Derrick leaned to Char with a grin "Scared yet?" Char simply retorted "You wish." Both of them new how much fun this new year would be. Finally, no more borin crap from the teachers.
15. I personally have always been a more of the flow like the water kind of guy. I too am involved in the martial arts and one of my favorites is San Sou, another chinese styly of kung fu. The movements are all very fluid and constant. Thinking of it like water is the way I was always taught. Just roll through everything, and when the time is right, slam down like a torrent.
16. OCC: I missed out on this one the first time, so I plan to be in there for this one. -------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Derrick Arsson Age: 17 Gender: Male Appearance: Derrick Arsson. His long silver hair is his defining feature, coupled with his dark choice of attire.(over look the wings) Personality: The calm and friendly type. He doesn't seem very expressive, but he carries a constant light smile on his face. He has an almost gentle and soothing air about him and is fairly well liked by most he meets. He generally keeps his thoughts to himself, but since he never really seems troubled, no one ever asks him about what's on his mind. He has that southern country charm. Bio: Derrick was born in a small town only a short while away from Savvanah Georgia. He was raised a down home country boy, born and raised on a rather large ranch. His home was the modern home of the old west. From early childhood he would care for horses, clean barn stalls, ride broncos, fix fences, feed animals, he's done anything and everything you can do on the farm. His family was a group of regular workaholics. Him and his two brothers took care of the afternoon chores while his parents worked the morning. It wasn't til he was 13 when his powers first revealed themselves. He didn't know what to do about it at first, so he tried to hide it from his parents, but it was only a few months later that they first noticed what was happening to him. At first they were horrified, thinking he was a monster, and even considered just getting rid of him. But once they came around they knew that he was still there son, and they wanted to help him through this hard time. They spent two years, but in the end they had no idea what to do with him. Then they heard about the school called Serentity Veiw. It was a place that handled people like Derrick, so they sent him out to the school so he could get his education and finally learn how to control the powers that were over coming his body. Powers: He has the ability to manipulate light. With this power he can affect how one sees as well as what ones sees. He can mask his visible presense and can even bombard other persons optic system with vibrant displays of color. When focused at a point in his hand it appears like a perfectly round mirror(Like one seen in pic).
17. Name: Aaron Tellis Age: 23 Gender: Male Race: Watcher. Born to mortal women and converted through unknown means, this race of beings are caught in a constant rift between the two plains of existence. Living in a parallel between earth and hell. They have amazing power, but there minds and souls are divided, each side in constant struggle for control. Position: Vagabond aka A wanderer Appearance: Aaron(Mortal form) (Demonic Form). Personality: (Human form) distant by nature. He seems almost discontent in any situation. He has no real allegiance and instead choices a life of solitude. He is neither cruel nor angry, he is just disconnected from everything. He moves and speaks like someone with too much weighing on his soul. (Demonic form) He is the essence of evil itself. He is cruel and sadistic without any remorse for the suffering he inflicts. He only cooperates with others when there is something in it for him, and even then he's not the most trust worthy. The defining trait that the two sides both share is there hatred for each other. Weapon: Black Moon Rising. This sword is not only his weapon, but it also acts as a medium for his dark powers. This is a weapon that is made from steel and infused with his own blood. A sword that acts as his servant, answering to his every call. Abilities/Magic: He moves with great speed and strikes with almost surgical percision. He uses the powers of the shodows of hell as his magic, if it can really be called that. He focuses this energy to th tip of his sword and releases it in a sudden discharge causing and almost tearlike mark to form. Bio: He was born in the shadows of society. Like the others of his kind, he was born to a mortal woman, but for some reason he was cursed with the shadow mark, a cresent shaped mark on the back of his neck. He was raised with only a mild neglect, like the kind you would give to an uninvited guest, but it was clear enough to him what it meant. They didn't want him, so he kept himself as distant as he could from them, being off on his own in the streets for the most part. Eventually he simply left the city and his home. He had no where to go, but it's not like he left to find some place to be. He much enjoys the simple life of the large and lush world on the outside. But it was here that he became more aware of his other self. He's still haunted by dreams of that mask and those yellow eyes. In his time he has had to survive the dark army and the elven war, but never once did he bring his blade up to fight. It was starting to feel like his sword was just for decoration, but no things feel different.
18. Name: Nathan "Nate" Rellis Age: 6 (24 in earth years) Species: Klausian. This particular bare a large resemblence to the humans of earth. The major difference only becomes apparent to those who visit their home world, or happen to meet one who is visting another planet. The gravity of there home world is warped by the oval like shape of the planet, making the gravity pool as one moves further north or south. This makes them stronger and quicker then average humans. They also are more durable then your normal person as well and have what would be considerd heighted endurance on any other planet since tehy have the relieved strain. They are a more aggressive race as to the fact that the species itself generates larger amounts of testosterone to encourage the neccessary muscles to survie in there home world enviroment. There technology is of a higher level then modern, but they are not the most developed planet in ways of combat, still favoring hand to hand over guns and other ranged weaponry. The planets orbit is much longer then earth, so there years are much longer. They managed to maintain a normal climate because of the unusually large size of there sun. Timeline/Date: 5083 May 23 Origin: Millcar city, mid north sector, Klausiana, Milky way galaxy Special Talents: Nate has a high perceptive capability and is able to read others by even the slightest changes in expression and manner. While this would normally make him well suited for a career as a detective, he would much rather use it as a weapon for fighting. This, in the Klausian society, is still very respectable by social standards. Weapons/Items: He favors swords of varing types, but he favors curved blades. He isn't terribly disciplined, but he's good at improvising. He always has his single Black Katana. He also carries a small, sun shaped pendant in his inside coat poket. Inside is a picture of a woman, but he won't say who she is. Appearance: Nathan "Nate" Rellis Personality: Agressive, but that's pretty characteristic of his kind. He's very straight forward and can catch on even to very subtle hints, even if the person doesn't mean to give them. His big pet pev is when people try to lie to him, or say something they don't mean, which is the same thing to him. He is a brutal critic and isn't very forgiving either. He chooses fists over words alot of the time, but isn't what you would call hateful. He's loyal to those few he considers friends and will go to any end for them. Biography: Nate was born in a small city called Millcar. It was a pretty simple town for Klausiana. They had all the things most towns did: restaurants, homes, schools, groceries, and a collesium. Cause on Klausiana the biggest thing of the week was the fight. Once a week the whole town would go to the collesium and watch a fight between two town members. It could be anyone, from anywhere, from any class. They'd fight four matches and then everyone would go back home. This was his humble up bringing. He was born fighting and would die fighting if he had anything to do with it. Even at an early age he showed a great skill for reading others and surroundings in even extreme circumstances. Many veiwed him as a genius, both in and out of the ring, but he wasn't the type to take to praise well. He didn't care much for school or teachers, but what kid does? He also had a nack for trouble and getting himself into rather ugly situations. When he was 14 his town suddenly erupted in a fire. No ones sure what started it, but whatever happend soon had the small town all a blaze in the night. Being so late at night, less then half of the towns people managed to escape. Nate was one of the ones who got out. But the rest of his family wasn't that lucky. He was fortunate enoguh to have snuck out that night to go to the collesium after dark when the fire started. After the fire he only appeared long enough to make an official report on what he saw and then he disappears from all public records for almost a year (equals 4 earth years). When he finally returns, it comes in the form of a body guard for hire. He works mostly with diplomats and the occassional celebrity. When he came back his hair was dyed orange and he had grown from a normal boy to the quiet and strong man he is today. The only things he had with him when he was found was the clothes on his back, his sword, and the locket in his coat. He never spoke of what happend to him and doesn't address it as important.
19. I read sigs religously. I have to see what someone puts in their sig. I'm just nosey like that. Does that count as nosey?
20. Dred cracked his knuckles and took up a strong stance "This doesn't sound promising. You said nasty right, but how big are these things suppose to be exactly." Katie seemed to think on it for a moment "There aren't any specific notes on them, there just described as large, ferocious beasts without any kind of consious or restraint." That was just perfect. Based on the last monster, he had a good idea what they looked like, but if these were small ones he didn't even want to think what the big ones would be like. The sound of thumping feet and heavy huffs could be heard echoing in there direction. The air was begining to grow putride as they drew closer. Dred was nervous, but he knew they had a pretty good chance, if he went all out on these things. The only down fall was he had never used his black aura with others this close. He had no way of knowing any kind of residual effect he might have on them. They mught be left paralyzed by fear since he couldn't focus it that well. Dred looked to Katie at his right, then back to Kylipso and Kim to the bach of both of them. He then looked forward as the figures began to come into focus through the dark. Dred then spoke out "You three try not to stand to close to me." Dred dawned, once again, his twisted metal gauntlets and the darkness that had permeated around them outside returned once again. Kim and Kylipso's immidiate response was one of shock and fear, but it slowly came down. Even the beasts approach was slowed by the aura. But Katie seemed to be holding up to it quite well. She was obviously much stronger and braver then Dred would have first expected. The beasts too soon recouped from the initial shock and charged after them once again. This time Dred jumped for the first beast, slicing the claws of his gauntlets across the beasts face. It stumbled a second but then lunged at Dred again. It scrapped at the edge of his already tatterd coat as he rolled clear of the beasts claws. He rolled out only to straight into the one directly behind it. As it leaned in to take a bite out of him Katie jumped in and crashed the monster atop it's head. Dred jumped to his feet and buried his fists into the bottom jaw of the monster and knocked it to the ground. Dred looked to Katie "Nice cover there, girl."
21. When it comes to designer clothes I'm about as indifferent as one can get. As long as it looks good and feels comfortable I don't really care who made it. I usually by most of my clothes at wal-mart and I buy alot of the non designer labels. but that's just me.
22. The basement of Kisuke's shop seemed to erupt with the sound of metal grinding. For an old guy he sure as hell moved fast, and hit even harder. Shun was locked off in the defensive. It might have only been a sword cane, but he sure could move quick enough with the damn thing. He moved the sword with a light grace and then came with such force to drive a thrust home. One would assume he was really trying to kill Shun, even though Shun knew he would stop as soon as he passed out. Shun kept up the parries and rolled about on the ground quite a bit. The force from blocking his strikes was enough to put him on the ground. But he was qick enough to not leave an opening in that time. This was starting to get rediculous, he wasn't getting anything but an ass beating. If he was going to get anywhere he was going to have to make a move. And in the instant that Kisuke thrusted for him, Shun dropped to one knee and jumped off the toes of his feet and struck with the tip of his sword. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shun would come to wake back in the upper level of the antique shop, with none other then Jinta, then child from hell, looking down on him. He had a very staisfied smile on his face "Enjoy your ass beating?" Shun just scowled back up to the little brat. His head was spinning and he ached in places he didn't even know he had. He couldn't even remember how it all ended either, which was the most irratating point. Shun just rubbed at his forehead with a feeling of shame and determination. It was shortly there after that Mr. Kudo came into the room with a rather large tray of food. The tray consisted of fried fish, miso soup with mushrooms, rice, and some carrots. He had Jinta leave and left the tray with Shun and left without a word. Not a big talker that one. Shun looked at the food and realized just how hungry he was and started tearing at the food like a wild animal. While doing so he heard someone else come in, and of all people, it was Kisuke himself. He came in with the same empty smile he always had plasterd across his face "You sure seem excited about the food." Shun just scoffed "Well, I've been here for two days and you psychos haven't feed me, so of course I'm hungry." Kisuke approached and it was at this time that Shun noticed a slight limp in his step. Kisuke then sat down beside Shun "Your just as reckless as ever. But if you hadn't done something as stupid as that, you never would have landed a single blow on me." Kisuke lifted his shirt and revealed the bandages that he had wrapped around his waist. Kisuke rose to his feet and turned as if to leave. He made it to the door and spoke again "Rest for the rest of the day, and tomorrow I'll teach you something new." With that said he left, and Shun was left to finish his meal in peace.
23. It was like falling back into the devil's lair. The person he met inside th old antique shop was Jinta, the brat from hell. This little red head found no end of joy in making Shun mad. He was a short little punk with a baseball bat, and he loved to smack Shun with it when he wasn't paying attention. The brat seemed to only bare respect for Kisuke, and only marginal respect at that. The brat just smiled as Shun was lead back through the shop "Hey there, dumb ass. Ready for another round?" Shun glanced back "Lay off you little shit!" Jinta just smiled on as Shun was lead away. The next familiar face was he found was the quiet, but equally annoying, Tomoe. She may have seemed shy and kind in appearance, but she was Jinta's sister and partner in crime. It was her almost depressed expression that made her seem so damn innoccent, but she had a firey temper and was always willing to do whatever Jinta had planned. As he walked by she said nothing, she just peaked at him from around the corner then ducked back. Then last, but not least, was Mr. Kudo. He was the house keeper and aid to Kisuke. He was a pretty big fellow, almost 7 feet tall and was built like a rock. Despite his appearance, he actually enjoyed his house work. He was like a giant house wife here. He didn't give Shun any imparticular greif, it was just this whole damn place. He gave a token wave to Shun as Kisuke continued to lead him along. Shunsuke finally reached the back room where Kisuke preceded to pull a rope and a segment of the floor rose. It was his basement. How and when he built was beyond Shun, but the basement of his house was atleast as big as the whole underground at his school. The ceiling of which was painted like the mid day sky, making the whole room feel like the out doors. The room itself resembled that of a baron desert, with only a few dried up, dead trees for decoration. Kisuke quickly climbed down the ladder and waved for Shun to come down with him, yelling all the while "Shunsuke-kun, come on down." Shun jumped down after him "Stop calling me that. I didn't like it when I was a kid, and I don't like it now!" The ever eccentric Kisuke was all to happy for Shun to be back in his midst. Shun would have gladly run a double round in the underground instead, but this was hi last hope. One more time. One more round with Kisuke. The eccentric Kisuke then drew a cane from his poncho and waved it about a bit "Well then, shall we begin? We both know what it is you want here."
24. It had only been a week since he receieved his orders to follow after the stargazers. This would mark Darrens third mission as a federation capatin. He sat in the catains seat on the bridge and simply gazed out into the dark vastness of space. He often enjoyed this simple activity. It brought him peace and a firm piece of mind to be able to see this great terrain before ihm that had no limit. The communtications team was fast at work relaying commands throught out the ship. They were suppose to follow, and if at all possible, capture these rogues. Darren had his head proped up by his arm, as he leaned in the chair. The comm officer called to him "The Stargazer ship is just ahead. ETA 4 hours." Darren sat up straight "Thanks. Relay to the rest of the crew that they are all to go to level three battle stations in preperation for arrival." The comm tech nodded and began relaying the message over the IC system on board the ship. Darren could hear the halls choing with the sound of the comm techs voice. Darren then looked to the helmsman "Take us to half of battle speed and maintain." With a nod back to him the ship began to build speed, slowly but surely. With that done, Darren leaned off in his chair and returned to gazing out the portside window into the vast vacuum of space. He played the orders from headuarters over and over again through his head. He wasn't sure why, but they siad his mission was of the highest importance so he took this mission very seriously. Or at least as seriously as he possibly could. Which didn't seem like much at all. He then rose from his chair and looked out to the bridge crew "Set system on auto pilot for the next two hours. I want all hands to rest up a little before we encounter the enemy. Tell the crew to maintains stations, but also tell them that the mess crew will be coming through with some refreshments for them in a little while." The comm tech nodded back to him as he left the bridge and headed down for his quarters for a little R&R before they made contact.
25. Fate. Destiny. These words meant nothing to him. And he found it quite troublesome whenever Xander would speak of his "fate". All Xarnock saw was an enemy with no heart and no soul. A being not worthy of the gift of life, and Xarnock would rectify this fault of nature. He fixed his postion and prepared for another volley of strikes on the Guard Armor. With a burst rush had was upon the massive beast in an instant and deliverd a single strong right. He fell back and Xander instantly followed in with a thrust to the same point. The two landed side by side and moved back following the attack. They had only managed to dent the armor of the beast, but it was a fine start. The still free floating arm came shooting after the two as it attempted to sweep them away. The two jumped clear, Xander jumping at the beasts body and Xarnock Jumping on the free flying arm. Xarnock held on to the arm and started tearing at it like an animal with the claws on his guantlets. The arm swung violently to get him off, but was having little success. It then tried to smash Xarnock by smashing itself on the ground. A rather cliche' move, and one that was all to easy to foresee and avoid. For as formidible as it was, it was not very intelligent, thus not a threat. Xarnock kept the free floating extremidy prepccupied for a little while til it diverted it's attetion back to Xander who was starting to crack through the Guard Armors thick hyde. As the arm turned and started at him, Xander jumped clear of the mighty swing. And in the moment that the beasts guard was down while it prepared to strike again. The two closed in on it and in a joint effort smashed throught the armor core of the beast. With a mighty groan the beast would fall and be done with. Xander stood with is usual solumn pride. He looked to Xarnock "This is what it means to acknowledge fate." Xarnock was unsure of how to answer such a crude and straight forward statment. He felt nothing for such ideals and cared little for those who bore them. He simply nodded to Xander and responded "The others should be finished soon. Find the keyhole." The two nodded to each other once more and seperated to search for the keyhole while the others dealt with the Grande Sphinx.
