1. Honestly I don't see a problem with it myself, but it's really more on yourself and him on how it works. Everyone so far has beeen talking about maturity, but one must remember that certain people mature faster then others. Hell I'm already more mature then some of my friends at work who are in their late 20's. Plus they do say girls mature faster then boys do anyway, plus they also live longer too, or so they say. At any rate I think it lies more in how you and him stack up. There are two different ways of looking at age; you can look at immdidiate, which is how long you've been alive, then there's relative, how old you act and think. Your maturity basically. at 16/19 you might already be more mature then him, but that's not the point here. If you feel like the two of you are mature enough to explore a relationship, then more power to you for it. I think the only time age plays an issue is when the gap is unnatural (Differing once again to Anna Nicole and NAMBLA). at 16 and 19, there's nothing unnatural about it, and I find it perfectly acceptable. If he's really as great as you say he is, and you really want to have something with him, then make a move. But don't just take the words of those here on this site, it's not our lives, so we can't make a decision for you. We can only say what we think should be done, or what we think is okay. I say, do what you want, and do what you think will make you happy.
2. I had a discussion with a teacher at school recently and this was the basic topic, so I decided to bring it to ther boards. Which do you believe is a more pertinent threat, Global Warming or Terrorism? There are lots of ways to argue for either one, but I came to see what the fine users of the OB think on this subject. As frightening as terrorism is, I feel we need tos pend a lot more time then we have been thinking on ways to stop, if not at least slow, global warming. The very earth and all life on it is put in jepordy by this, and it's something we can act on. There are those who believe that global warming is a natural occurence and say that human interference has little to do with the global increase in temprature. However, I would like to point out that in the last six years our government has recieved warnings about global warming from the pentagon, the EPA, NASA, and even the vatican. Why aren't we taking bigger steps. Now then, let's talk terrorism. The fact of the matter is that this is a much more immidiate threat and can happen at a moments notice. Global warming may take years to do real damage, while a single terrorist attack can take thousands of lives in a few minutes. This is another man made initiative; mans hatred of man. This is never a topic to be taken lightly and we should veiw it as a true threat to not only our lives, but the lives all innocent people of the free world. I have put fourth my veiw on both topics and want to hear what the rest of you have to say. Should we focus on one more then the other? If so then why? They are both important, but which do you feel deserves the spot light of our attention.
3. I'm with Samurai on this one, if you mean cheating on your lover, then that really is pretty low. There's no excuse for it and its' not soemthing that should be or is easily forgiven. Even if youd didn't mean it to be, it's very damaging and is a complete betrayal of trust and love to do something like that.
4. The rumble in the air came to a suden end as Shun kicked the engine off on his bike. He set both feet on the ground, while he was still mounted atop the bike. He looked at the main building for the school and thought back to what had gone on in the underground this past weekend. It was Shun's turn to fight again, so he killed a kid by the name of Kazuki Tokame. He didn't know him that well, but ht knew enough to know that today was going to be a hard day. He had first hour with his girlfriend, who was at the match of course. She was probably still in mourning and would still be upset with Shun, even though he couldn't help it. Shun sighed "Oh well, time for another day." Shun stepped off his bike and pocketed his keys. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked on toward the school with the mob of other students, some still in a daze from the weekend. No matter how often it had been for them, there was no getting use to losing friends and family so often and so easily. Shun feared for the day his sisters would have to compete, but fortunatly that was a ways off, maybe they could find an alternative to this by the time they reached high school. Shun strolled into the building and looked about the hall to see all the faces of the students and teachers who had probably hoped to see him get killed in the underground. No one more then the teachers wanted him gone, but they just couldn't pull it off, no matter how hard they wished for it. This if nothing else made Shun smile. Did him well to know he was pissing off the teachers just by staying alive. Shun enterd his first period and his eyes almost instantly landed on Motoko Itsuzu, Kazuki's girlfriend. Her face was still streaked and eyes blood shot, she must have been crying all weekend. When she saw Shun enter the room she stared at him sith cold and empty eyes, like all the life had been sucked out of her. Shun continued on to his seat next to Toshi who looked to him "Your looking as disgruntled as usual." Shun turned to her "Did you expect any less?" He said with his trademark scowel on his face. Toshi smirked "Oh yeah, before I forget, there's a party at my house this evening. Try to show up on time, alright." Shun looked to her with a smirk in place of his scowel "Inviting me over on a weekday night. Got something in mind?" She then flicked him in the head "Don't flatter yourself. Just be there at 7 O'clock, okay. If your late I'll be forced to settle your libido once and for all." Shun looked back to the front of the room "Fine, fine. I'll be there on time, don't worry." Shun then slouched back in his seat and waited for the clock to get moving already.
5. I"m going tohave to go along witht he others before me and say that STD's have less to do with pre marital sex and more to do with protection. To try and keep this on topic, I have nothing against pre-marital sex, though I would liek to state that I am a virgin myself. It's just lke anything else in life; it's a choice. As long as you play it smart and rubber up, then there's really nothing wrong with it. Though I suppose this debate is probably much more based towards the relious ideals about whether or not it's okay, in which case I say no comment. I'm not a religous person and don't carry alot of what I think to be the excess baggage of christianty. I won't get into that exactly, but I do consider pre-marital sex to be part of that excess baggage. As such, if it's something your really willing to with and do then good for you, go for it. All I ask of my fellow horny teen male brothern, keep your twinkie wrapped.
6. I do assure it gets better as the story moves on. It makes a serious 180 and becomes something completely different around the 6th manga volume or the 20th episode of the anime. Getting to learn more about the soul reapers or Death Gods or for the more picky Shinigami, is actually very interesting. It's a very new kinda look at the after life.
7. I'd like to state that homosexuality wasn't always a repressed or negativly veiwed concept in this world. In fact in some eastern cultures it was once considerd to be a more noble pursuit then heterosexuality. The idea of completely devoting yourself to your fellow man, imparticular. There were times when it may have been a fad or a trend, but I don't think that really applys in the here and now. You don't recruit people to homosexuality, it's not the military. I believe that either homosexual/bisexual or your not. You don't just change sides of the spectrum.
8. I saw this series for the first time almost two years ago. It's to this day is one of my favorite anime. The art style is unlike any other anime I had seen up to that point. The constant moving staind glass affect, plus the differentiation in colors between characters in the scenes. That's not even tomention the almost entoxicating story. It starts out so righteous and ends on such a dark note. The whole thing was very dream like and I think tha't what erally pulled me in. All in all, I'll admit that there alot of people out there that probably would have a hard time getting into this one. But if you enjoy amazing art style with some trppy, if not all that deep, plot, then this my friends if for you. Plus, the Soultaker is just a cool hero. I like the cold, hard, anti hero thing.
9. Dred glanced to Kylipso for a minute then gave a light hum as if he were thinking it over. He then looked back to her "It didn't really have a name, or at least one we were aware of. The older ones just called it Utopia. It took me years to figure out what that word meant and why they called the valley that." Kylipso looked back to him along with all the others. Dred kept quiet til an almost anxious Quincy stepped in "And what was the reason?" Dred smiled and chuckled "Certainly a curious bunch aren't you." Dred hmmed again to himself "All of us who lived there were orphans. Either we were abandonned or our parents were dead. I was just like any other kid there, no parents and I didn't care or want any. We all looked out for each other there and got by just fine." Dred went quiet again, as if to build the dramatic pause. He let out a deep sigh "So anyway, the only way we got anything from the outside was through the older ones. The former residents who are now adults would return and bring new kids with them or materials. It was a pretty simple life. It didn't rain often, but thanks to the valleys bowl shape the little rain we did get filterd into the valley through the mountains. They were so steep that getting in was almost impossible unless you were familiar with the underground cave systems. That's why I'm taking us there, the valley mountains formed and umbrella over the valley so the damage would be minimal. There's water and maybe some food if the rasberries and blueberries are still growing by the creek." Dred stopped talking again and the group let it set at that for the moment. Even though they had stopped talking he could tell they were all still a little curious. They wanted to know more about his home, but they didn't feel like asking him anymore questions. Dreds arms were starting to feel tired from all the walking they had done with Leo. Dred looked up and in the distance saw the mountain crest just on the horizon. They were almost there, now they just had to find the cave and navigate there way through. The mountains still looked like they were intact; they were made of granite after all. This was a good sign, there might still be hope inside.
10. I was born a christian, but I am no longer one. I like to think of myself as an agnostic, I don't disbelieve in god, I'm just not sure if he's really there or not. Personally, chrisitians in this country are really starting to annoy me. How many of you are aware of the fact that they recently held a confrence in D.C. about the oppression of christians in america. Now, last time I checked, christians made up, what, 80% of the population. And nothing says oppressed like the regional suite at the omni regal hotel. But back to the topic. Do I believe in god, not really. Do I believe he doesn't exist, no. The bottom line is that I don't know if he's out there and I don't particularly care either. I don't need the invisble man in the sky to tell me right from wrong and that killing and stealing are bad. If you need a book to tell you that those things are wrong, then you have some much deeper issues.
11. Since hearing about Bleach coming to AS, I've been wondering who the voice cast is going to be. Me and Stark have been talking about who we would like to hear for these roles, but it's really only our personaly preference. Does anyone have know the voice cast for the english dub, or is still unknown. That's one of my chief concerns at this point.
12. Name: Maxwell "Max" Tellman Gender: Male Personality: Laid back and easy going. He has a strong sense of right and wrong. He spends a good deal of his free time just lazing about in the sun. He enjoys spending time on the beaches and by pools. He likes to think of himself as a ladies man, but isn't exactly smooth, he's just persistent. He's headstrong and even more cock strong, but he has good intentions. Rank: Soilder Side: Zeonic remnant Bio: Born back during the better days of the Zeon empire, he dreamed even as a child of piloting a mobile suit and flying out into combat like his late father. Despite wanting to be a soilder, he didn't seem much the type for it. He was calm, laid back, and peaceful. He didn't show any sings of agression of even anger toward those who had killed his father. In the colony's he could be found lying about in the open feilds and simply basking in the sun light. Then came the fall of Zeon. It was at this time that he realized that he had to do something. He knew that he had to fight back for his country and his people. When the remnant slipped off in the confusion of the ending war he took with them and left alone, having lost what was left of his family back in the final days of the war. Again, even in the face of this horrible event, he never showed any form of anger or outrage like so many others did. But what he held onto in anger, he put back into intense training. He started dedicating more and more time to practicing in his mobile suit and was preparing for the next strike against the Earth Fedaration. Despite there down troated position, this has not put stopped them from developing new and highly advanced equipment. High energy blast charge located in the center of the stomach. Dettachable units on back (as seen in image 3) which are wide range assault units. They can only move freely in space and can attack an enemy from all angles as long as they are within 3 miles of the Strike Freedom. On earth they act as support fire. 13. Name: Darrick "Dar" Kelston Age: 21 Gender: Male Personality: A bit anti-social, but not a thug or anything of that sort. He has a pretty explosive temper and a boastful streak in him as well. He loves to rub it in the face of his opponent when he's winning and likes to feign normality when he's losing. Despite these flaws, he's strong willed and has a righteous tendency, he just doesn't like to admit to this. He stands up for the little guy and enjoys the thrill of combat, esspecially when it's a cause he believes in. Species: Human/Shinigami (Death God) Description: Darrick. He is 5'9 and weights in at 175 lbs. Weapon: A pair of enchanted blades(ones seen in pic), capible of exorcising dark spirits. The left generates light while the other generates darkness, they are the chaos blades. Bio: Darrick was born on the out skirts of the forest and was raised in the esoteric society known as the shinigami. This was a clan of exorcists and self proclaimed "Reapers of the Wicked". few are even aware of there existence, only those in the highest levels of power know how to contact them and even then there is no guarntee of a response. Darrick was raised from birth to do this and is naturally talented as a Shinigami. He was the first to be born into the society in almost a thousand years, born to parents who were both Shinigami. As to this, he is highly regarded and many expect him to be the next head of the clan. He was entrusted with the chaos blades at the age of twelve. But to take such a powerful weapon is no easy feet. All Shinigami have to plead to an inner spirit for power in order to obtain a weapon capible of challenging and defeating spirits. He was no exception. He pleaded to the spirit within him and was nearly drawn in and absorbed by the chaotic energy within. When he emerged from his own inner hell, he had the power and the wisdom needed to weild the chaos blades. He was contacted recently from the king of the neighboring kingdom. He begged that one of the Shinigami to go forth into the forest and promised he would build them a temple in honor of them if they agreed and succeed. At first the head of the clan was going to deny his request, but Darricks curiosty got the best of him. He asked to be allowed to go personally and on his own. Not wanting to deny him the experience of a true challenge, the head agreed and let him go on this mission.

15. Sadly, mine would have to be sadness and depression. That's not to say I'm always depressed and unhappy, it's just that I feel those emotions much more intensely then the others. I can be mildly happy and excited, but I'm not very expressive, but I always have a high reaction to saddness and depression.
16. I've seen many give themselves titles including such ones as The Taskmaster and The weapon of Mass Annoyance. So I think it's about time I make mine known. SELF PROCLAIMED LEGENDARY OUTLAW
17. I'll have to go along and say that Princess Mononoke is my Favorite Miyazaki movie. For some reason it just grabs me and I get so involved in it no matter how many times I watch it. That's not to say that I haven't enjoyed pretty much every movie I've ever seen of his. I only recently saw Porco Rosso on TMC this January and that too was a pretty great story. But with me, like many others, my first Miyazaki movie was Spirited Away. This was one of my first anime movies to boot. I had seen a few different series up to this point, but this was the first full length motion picture anime. The artwork alone was mezmorizing and the story was beautifully done. All his films seem to be on a constant roller coaster, shifting from the more adventurous to the more light hearted. For me it's always an emotional roller coaster whenever I see one of his movies.
18. Name: Thomas "Tom" Delton Gender: Male Age: 24 Appearance: Tom. He stands about 5'10 and weights in at 175 lbs. He has a medium build and he isn't terribly athletic, but he's in decent shape. Persona: A mild mannerd and calm person by nature. He often avoids confrontation of all kinds and doesn't like to involve himself in bad situations if he can at all avoid them. He's a nice enough guy and likes to tell light hearted jokes every now and again to keep spirits high and tentions low. He usually has very deep thoughts, but is greatly underspoken so alot of what he has to say goes unsaid. He has a very righteous personality, always tring to do what's right. Biography: Thomas was born to a middle class family in San Diego California and moved to japan three years ago. He has simple roots with nothing terribly abnormal about his childhood. He was always quiet as a child and tends to be quiet as an adult as well. He found that he had a greater feeling of expressionism in writing. It was at this time that he knew what he wanted, even though he was only 10 years old at the time. He went to school for two years in the states and then decided to move over seas to get on the job training. His parents pleaded with him to stay in country, but Thomas had become disgusted with the decline of the media in the states and decided to move to japan, thinking he might get a good break there. He wanted to be a reporter and bring some truth to the world that seemed to be slowly slipping into a veil. He spent his first year as a freelance journalist, irking out a living on car wrecks and mediocre scandals. After a year of low living with no recognition, he finally got a job at the local paper covering politics. This was his moment, just what he was looking for. It was rarely ever very exciting, but in this way he was able to let himself be heard and get truth to the people. It was only six months ago that he first met Abel. They worked for two different papers, but he they saw each other as partners in trade so they kept in communication as often as possible. Abel was a tough notch journalist and always dug as deep as he could and Thomas respected that about him. The two foud themselves digging through the same piles of documents and photographs for hours and would then share ntoes on what they had noticed. The week before his death, Abel called Thomas saying he had found a big case and that he was going to need support. He said it would be kept in th eusual format and left in the usual spot. You see, for the two to keep in contact and exchange only the most damning stories and evidence the two would leave each other messages for the other to track, but not only was it hidden from plain sight, but it was also encoded so only they could read it. Before he was able to pick up the information he heard tell that Abel was found dead. Relation: A friend and colleague. Involvement/Role: Thomas was suppose to meet with Abel the night of the attack, but never got the chance. Abel had come across a new story that he hadn't shared with Thomas yet. Abel was going to drop a message to Thomas in a code the two of them had made together. Thomas wants to help find out what happend, but he doesn't know what it was that Abel was trying to deliver. IF only he could get a hold of the note.
19. My dreams are generally very psychodelic. I had a dream one time that I was playing with one of my cousins and we were jumping across this rainbow river on clouds. At the other side of this river was this large field of just purple grass and my cousin kept shouting to me something about the snake that took his wallet. God I'm a freak when I dream. I have no idea where it all comes from. Fortunatly I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do I see all these vibrant images.
20. Dred and Quincy set Leo down, they used a small patch of dirt and burnt cloth to support his head and leg. Dred looked to Katie "That's a good question. I can't imagine we'll find much refuge in this world. Or at least a civilized one." The group stood in silence for a moment or two. Then quincy looked off to the distance "Even if it's just a cave, we need some kind of shelter incase all hell should start pooring down from the sky again." "Yeah, so which way should we head?" Kay asked. The group held a bit more silence. None of them were too sure of what there next course of action should be, all options seemed kinda bleack. Dred was locked in thought when it hit him "We could go home." The group all turned to him with a look of confusion at this statement. Dred elaborated "I grew up in a valley far to the south of here. It's pretty well shelterd thanks to the almost umbrella like rock structure. I think that would be a good place to start." They all seemed in question for a moment, but they realized that none of them had a better solution to there problem. Dred and Quincy hauled up Leo again "If we leave now it will only take up twelve hours to get there, but we'll have to move quick." It was at this time that Katie stopped them "Wait. I thought that there was only a desert to the south of here. I've never heard of a valley like the one your talking about." Dred looked back to her "Trust me on this one. I know how to find it." And with nothing more said he waved a bewildered Quincy on and the two started off with Leo as the others followed them. Even if they made it there, they would have to do something about Leo. Even if it wasn't life threatening anymore, his wound was still debilitating. Carring him all that way would be a tough venture.

He feels like he's got nothing to lose, so he has no fear of dieing himself. It's killing that gets to him. No matter how many times he has been forced to do it he still can never adjust to it. Personality: An all around disorderly punk. He likes to cause a commotion and back talk teachers, or any authority figure for that matter, when ever the chance presents itself. Despite his rough and tumble way, and the fact that he never seems to stop scowling, he's a nice enough guy with a strong sense of integrity and a very selfless nature. Despite this, he only has a few friends because of his bitter outward appearance. Character Details: Shun gets heckled alot about his orange hair and this has even sparked many fights with peers, though he has tried to avoid killing them whenever possible. He has two younger sisters and a father who is a workaholic, so the three kids pretty much run the house. He's only really close friends with Toshi and they have had kinda on again off agian kind of relationships in the past, but is mildly aquainted with the other students in his class. 22. I have to say that I miss alot of the shows played in toonami's early days. I miss shows like Ronin Warriors and Thunder Cats. Yu Yu Hakusho is still on the line up, but it plays at 5 am on saturday mornings. I know this because I have the DVR so I've been watching. They have actually carried the series to completion this way since october. But by far, the show I most miss on Toonami has to be, no surprise, Outlaw Star. I don't care if they finished it, I still want to see it again. It was a good show and they can run it again. It's been too long since that last time I saw that particular series. I personally miss the daily toonami routine, and I am not a fan of this new thing they've got, Muguzi. That's Toonami's slot, that's where it belongs dammit.
23. Matt looked about a bit, he was standing with in this vast open feild. It was sealed off by high walls, though they seemed small from the distance in which he stood. He saw standing to either side of them, a whole parade of soilders, at least 60. To top it off, a girl, about his age, was standing next to him. She had deep black hair and a curvy figure and the green of her eyes almost seemed to shine. She seemed a bit dazed at first, but soon looked about and eyed Matt as well. Matt nodded "I'm guessing your just as confused as I am, right?" She nodded to him "Yeah. What are we here for? It looks like a military baracks." Matt took another look around to the soilders and the high wall in this otherwise tranquil feild "Yeah, it kinda does." He looked back to the girl "The name's Matt Trenton. How about you?" She smiled "Just call me Neko." Matt smirked and nodded back to her. He heard the boots ot ther surrounding soliders clap together. This meant that an officer was on approach. He looked up and saw a man, who appeared highly decorated with a number of badges on his chest. He his hand he carried a pair of swords with him, which he proceded to throw at the feet of the two them. It was at this time that he spoke in a calm, but commanding voice "Take these! You'll be needing them in the coarse of your training." Matt hesitated a bit, but slowly went down to take the blade. Neko on the other hand seemed all to excited to take up a weapon. The commander stood high and straight and shouted to the troops standing at both sides of them "Present,ARMS." The troops all rose in sync to a salute along with the commander. They stood in this state for a few moments and then the commander shouted "Order, ARMS." And once now all the soliders returned there hands to there belts. The commander walked forward toward the two and saluted one more time before speaking "Do us proud, you two." The commander then turned from the two and walked back to the head of the parade and started "On my command, all troops fallout. Fallout! Second rank, bring the sample." All the soilders with the exception of the second row on either side of the two, took one step back, turned on there heels and ran off the feild. The two remaining rows ran off ahead of the two and retreated into a smalldoor inside the wall before them. It was still quite a distnce off, but they reached it in only a few minutes. Matt decided not to move, he had a pretty bad feeling and didn't want to do anything to start trouble. In the distance, a loud, rusty creek came from the wall in front of them. This loud sound was followed by a thunderous thud and the sight of a massive, red scaled, behemoth of a monster. It had large red horns pertruding to the front of it's head in a curve and black fur on it's muzzle and forearms. The commander and all the other soliders had already taken off. Was this really what they wanted them to do? For as big as it was, it sure didn't take the damn thing long to come right up on them pretty quickly. You can move pretty fast when take huge steps. Matt and the girl drew there swords and split up. The beast snapped after both of them, it's breath felt like someone had just opened up an oven. It's breath also reaked of sulfur, it's was like rot or something. The monster looked to Matt and started to turn it's body to follow after him. All Matt could do was try and keep clear of it's mouth. When the beast turned to face him it took only a few moments for it to cry out in pain. When looked up he saw that Neko girl standing on it's back with the sword she was given, driven into the back of the beasts neck. It whipped around, but she held fast on the monsters back as it thrashed about. As the beast thrashed, Matt took the chance and jumped on it's massive forearm. He Moved along the arm and drove his sword into the monsters throat. One clean shoot, straight to the adams apple. The blood ran from the monsters mouth as the cries from it grew fainter as the air drained out of it's lungs faster. Neko jumped off it's back and Matt got down as well. The blood was all over the both of them. It was at this moment that he heard it. This sinister voice "Nicely done." Matt looked about rapidly, but nothing was to be seen. But this voice still left him with goosebumps, whatever it was. As if from thin air, the commander reappeared and approached Matt "I sense a great evil in this one. You'll be perfect for this one." It was at this moment that Matt noticed he was holding something wrapped in a black satin cloth. He set in front of Matt, who hesitantly took it from his hands. The commander saluted and turned away again. Matt unwrapped the cloth and underneath was a sword with a black scabard. Matt drew the scabard back and saw the black blade of the sword. It's image filled him with chills and dread, but he couldn't put it down. What was this thing?
24. For a first try, it was really good. My hat goes off to you. It was a little fuzzy, but it wasn't as bad as I intially thought it might be. Keep up the good work.

V for Vendetta

I just saw it not even an hour ago and I have to say that it's probably one of the better movies I've seen in the last year. That's probably due to the fact that I see a lot of crap, but still. It reminded me a little of "1984", or at least the society in which it is based. The term "black bagged" I feel was a nice touch. I love the wonderful work of illiteration in the begining from the man himself. I wish I could find the actual document of that. It would make a great quote, even if it is very long. What hits the hardest as for the fact that the world feels so real at aome points and seems so close to our own.
