Kota was a bit dtunned at what had just happend. She had just jumped at him and grabbed hold of him. This was awfully weird, and on his first day at this place no less. For some reason, her holding on to him like that made him feel really awkward. The tention was only broken when her Friend, Haruko finally showed up. Kota pushed himself off her and stepped back "it' was nothing, just a misunderstanding, right." Motoko just nodded back to him and forced a laugh "Yeah, just using him to escape that pest is all." The two laughed a little akwardly, and this seemed to make Haruko a little suspisous, but she didn't say anything about it. She turned to Motoko "So, let's get going to the beach already." Kota stepped in "If your going to the beach, would you mind showing me how to get there." Haruko stopped and stared at him in his trunks for a minute, then Motoko snapped in "Fine, just don't try anything fresh." The sudden change in tone kind of threw him. Was this girl really okay? How was he going to share a room with her. He shook his head "Of course not. I wouldn't do something so lewd." Motoko shot him a backward glance as she turned herself to face the school gate. She then looked away and started to walk "It's this way." Haruko continually galnced back at Kota, which only severd to make him feel a little less comfortable with the two of them.

It had been almost and hour since he left home and Tommy was on his way back. He was a little upset, knowing she was dead and seeing her were two very different things, but he kept up a strong exterior. It was getting close to midnight, he needed to hurry home, he needed at least a little bit of sleep before going out job hunting tomorrow. He was slowly walking the streets with his hands tucked in his pockets. He started to look around himself, noticing that despite the time people were still out and about. you had to pay attention, but they were there. This place was known for prostetution. That's probably why all those so called 'Whore' killings were going on here, this place was whore house central. He still couldn't believe there were so many out with all the killings that had been happening, but he didn't have time to worry about what they were doing. It wasn't his business to stop them, that was for the cops. Tommy was almost four blocks from home when he saw Chris, of all people, standing around outside. He looked to be waiting for someone, but who would he need to meet at this hour of the night. It was as he was passing by he saw a girl from school, Her name was Vala if he was right. She had quite a reputation at school, and not a very good one. Was she really the one Chris was waiting for? Tommy smirked a bit "Didn't think Chris'd be into a girl like that." He said to himself as he rounded the corner. He was just two streets away from home, when he saw another unexpected and much less regarded face, Ash. He still wasn't thrilled with Ash since he was such a dick to him at school, but Tommy wasn't the type to pick fights, so he let him go. But what was he doing? Was there something going on he didn't know about?

Name: Alldian "Al" Domonic Age: 137, appearnce of 28 Race: Vampire Class: Human turned Vampire Weapon: Sword and gauntlet seen in pic. Appearance: He also wears a long white cloak that conceals his sword. He is often commented on for his odd choice of attire for one of the night. Character snippet: The steam rose from the sewer holes into the dark night air. The steets were only dimly lit, while the alleys were elclipsed in total darkness. In this place was the world of shadows where monsters like Alldian came from. This was the home he had known for more then a hundred years now. He slid out of the shadowy realm that was the dark alleys of the city and looked to the adjacent street corner. As expected, one of the many women of the night stood on the street corner waiting for business. Al saw his chance moved in slowly, his motion was like floating as he moved with such ease. He approached her without a sound and his only indication to her was to set his hand on her shoulder. She jumped at first and jumped to look at him and scream quickly, but was soon soothed by the look of his eyes. She had been caught in his unworldly alure. He set his hand beneath her chin and began to lead her away, to the dark alley from which he appeared. Once in the cool sooth of his eyes turned to that which inspired terror in even the most frigid and couragous of men. She tried to scream again, but feel short to his fangs as they pierced through her neck. The breath was taken from her, as she huffed and moaned to the bite. She began to run cold as it he drew more from her, but her breath grew warmer. He set her limp body to the ground and drew his sword. He set it above her heart and drove it deep "Sorry darling, but this is not where you want to be. Have fun in heaven. Or hell, where ever it is your going." He pulled his sword from her chest and turned to leave, going further down the alley. He slowly glided back into the shadows, as he was swallowed up and devoured by the darkness. The story of his life, swallowed by the dark.

Sign Up RPG: High treason obscurer: Truth forgotten [M-VSL]
Starwind replied to Disenchanted's topic in Theater
Name: Dominic "Dom" Herannal Age: 26 Race: Human Gender: Male Weapons: He carries a large hand gun, as well as a pair silver katanas. Speacial powers: A skilled swordsman and marksman, with lightining reflexes and great speed. Appearance: Bio: He was only a child when the war was still being waged between the species. Unlike most humans, he holds no grudge against vampires, they did what they had to inorder to survive. It was a war, lots of people die. That's always been his philosphy on it, even though two of those who died were his parents. despite this he cared little for vengance or even rebellion. But he does live by doing what one must to survive. Living alone as a small child in this unforgiving wasteland of a world, he had to learn many trades quickly. For one who was relativly uneducated, the best jobs he would get were as laborers or a killer. He didn't like the idea of moving some freight around for the rest of his life, so the killing seemed to be the obvious chose. But what would he do to make money that way. In this time of desperation, two humans were more likely to go for an alliance then to fight or try and kill each other before a vampire or whatever other manner of beast. That was his inspiration for the perfect job. He did all he could to learn about the monsters of the wastelands, and most noteable the vampires. He set out to learn what it took to kill one and soon saw it wouldn't be much harder then killing off humans, with the right technique. He then set out and found the war vets who survived and learned the way they moved and the way they thought in combat. All the information he obtained was useful, but til he put it to use he'd never know how good it was for sure. One day when he was 16 he got his chance. He took what skill and knowledge he had and killed a vampire guard, just outside the limits of the city. After the first, more would follow. He too the lives of four in his first week, this gained him a good reputation with the humans living outside the city, and a bad one with pretty much every vampire, werewolf, and all other forms of monster living in this world. To this day he is attributed to the killing of almost 50 vampires, and just short of 70 werewolves. The monsters hate him, while the humans seek him. He does this to survive in the badlands, just as the vampire did when they took the earth from his kind. He is hailed, he is feared, he is Dominic the monster slayer. -
Kota felt a bit hesitant on his reaction, what was up with that girl. One minute she was his friend the next she was threatening him. Maybe she was bi-polar or something. Anyway, it didn't matter because the bottom line was that he would be sharing a room with this rather odd girl for a while. the bell had rung for the day, and maybe they were a bit loose on there detention policies here. That was probably why she blew it off. Kota stood and looked about the room for a minute "I suppose I should go get my things and bring them up." He left the room and went to the front office. The whole way down he collected a number of stares from many girls in the hallway. Was he wearing something weird? Maybe they didn't like new students here? Be it whatever it was, he tried to pay little mind to them and retrieved his things from the office. He had brougth all his belongings in a pair of large trunks. He grabbed the handle on each and proceded to drag them to the room. Once there, he set them in the room and popped one of them open "As long as I'm on break I may has well enjoy the beach." He said as he fished his trunks out. He changed there in the room, took a towel of his and was off to the beach where many others had already gone off to. It wasn't til he was already heading there that he realized he might encounter his odd roommate out there. He decided that it might be best if he try to be around that one as little as possible. On his way to the beach, he collected even more odd stares, and even a few whispers this time. What was it that was upsetting the girls here? And what did it have to do with him? He could see them turning red, like the girl in the office earlier. naybe she wasn't sick and was just upset like they seemed to be. He wasn't quite sure what to do for a moment. He stopped and set his towel down and heard an all to familiar voice yelling by the water.

How the woman's body is used. [Mature Topic]
Starwind replied to Citrus's topic in General Discussion
I can agree tha it can be done tastefully and I have seen it done so. but in this modern society that is slowly fading away. People want less taste and more brunt nudity, which often times I find more of a turn off then a turn on. I'm one much more for the more tasteful and elegant thing myself. I don't know if that makes me weird or not, but that's my personal preference. -
How the woman's body is used. [Mature Topic]
Starwind replied to Citrus's topic in General Discussion
The sad truth of the matter is that Boba's right. If it's what they want they can do it. I may be a teenager myself, but it doesn't mean I'm deep into porn or anything. It's true the female body is seen as a sex symbol, but that's been true for centuries, this is not just a recent thing. If you want a society that was heavily driven by sexuality would be societys like the Greeks and the Romans. Trust me they were mouch more involved with such things then we are today. I can understand why some would find it offensive, but in this free market society of ours, it's always been my philosophy that if you don't like it, then don't watch it, buy it or support it. The porn industry isn't going anywhere as long as men are men. Let's face it, in high school not a lot of guys are getting to have sex, no matter what they might tell. So to fill this twisted need they turn to porn as an outlet. And as long as this is true, which it probably always will be, porn will be a booming industry. As to why they would subject themselves to such things. your guess is as good as mine. It seems like it would be degrading. -
The shadows filled with light as the archmage continued in pursuit of Emilio. He wasn't sure how he was going ot fight him one on one, it didn't look to good. Suddenly he picked up a smell in the air, it was pure and sweet to his nose. It popped in his head, he now knew he had the edge with him that he could use. He stepped out form cover and looked straight to the elven archmage "Come on pal. Why don't you really bring what you got. I know you can do better." The mage turned red for a moment then smirked "Stupid demons like you aren't worth my time. I'm here for the Fujin king." The archmage let loose a large burst of light, engulfing the landscape in this endless void of pure light. As the light faded, the dull outline of Emilio could be seen still standing strong and firm. He was encased in a cocoon of water. The mage stepped back for a moment "WHere did you get that? Can you manifest water?" Emilio smirked "It's called an aquifer, and they're all over the place. A swamp must be near by." With that wicked smile of his the ground began to shake and rattle as the water beneath the surface shook free the earth began to collapse. The mage became very panicked and tried to attack again, but was quickly cut short but a speed burst of solid ice from the ground, bursting through his stomach. The mage sputterd a bit, then vomitted up a large amount of blood before going limp. Emilio drew the sickle from his gut and let him fall to the ground. Emilio was feeling quite good, a place like this was ideal for his fighting style. If only he could have another crack at that Leo character here. That would be much more interesting. But that wasn't important anymore, in the air he could smell Gale. He was getting closer instead of farther. As was Chrys and Grace. This was not good. Emilio shrugged "If he refuses to except help, then I'll just help him til he passes out and then we'll go back." The awater and ground settled around him and he walked off to find Chrys and Grace.

Kota stepped back a bit "How is it my fauly exactly?" He said in his calm tone, still seeming unaffected by the girls obvious temper "I mean if you han't been standing here, she wouldn't have gotten distracted and wouldn't have gotten caught." She was marching closer to him and he was begining to feel a confrontation coming "Listen, that was not my intention. I'm sorry if it turned out that way, but..." He was cut short by her "No excuses." She shouted as she popped him on the top of his head. He looked back up "That hurt you know." With that said she popped him again "That was the point you jerk!" She was begining to draw attetion as the teacher in the class then stepped out into the hall where the two stood. The teacher glared at the two standing there as the class watched the whole scene through the open door "Ms. Tsurigane, not surpirsing." The teacher turned to Kota "And who might you be? I don't recognize you." Kota stood straight and bowed lightly "I am Kota Tsubame. I am new to the school ma'am." The teacher looked him over for a minute then looked back to the other girl "So, are you here to retrieve your friend Ms.Tsurigane?" The girl nodded "I was hoping to." The teacher glared a bit at the two of them "Well, Mr. tsubame, your off to a wonderful start. The two of you can get to know each other better when you meet with me for detention with me this afternoon." The other girl jumped forward "Wait, but he was the one who started the whole..." The teacher stopped her short "That's quite enough Ms.Tsurigane." The teacher turned and went back into the classroom closing the door behind. The girl turned to Kota and glared a look of death at the still calm looking Kota.

This young, and obviously embarassed, girl was howing Kota around the school. He was taking in the scenery, so he might not get lost when he started his classes in the morning. But for today he had a free pass to enjoy the day and get to know the school a little bit better. He let his eyes wander as the girl went on telling him where they were and where they were going. He didn't pay much attention, but just soaked it in like osmosis. As they ventured down the hall he noticed a girl come running out of the building that was suppose to be the gym. He saw her throw something to the trash can, and miss the can at that. The girl guiding him seemed to be paying little attention to him, trying to keep him from seeing her face. He took this chance to see where this strange was in such a rush to go to. He followed the girl til she stopped outside a classroom and simply spied in, she was looking at someone. He walked up behind her and looked in over her shoulder to see what had her attention. He noticed the girl sleeping in the room, could that be the person she was looking at? He finally spoke up "What are you looking at?" The girl jumped and spun around in a burst. She sighed, then jabbed him in the stomach "What are you doing? you scared the crap out of me." She looked him over for a minute "Who are you anyway? I don't recoginze you." Kota bowed "I am Kota Tsubame. I just transferrd to this school." She looked to him "Shouldn't you be seeing the school or with the principal or something?" He just stood back up straight "I was with a guide, but then I saw you and decided to see where it was you were going."

Emilio washed in on the scene of Chrys holding the barely consious Gale. No matter how tough he was, he was still mortal with limits just like the rest of us. Emilio went up to him "Time to take a break. The fire girl is right, if we need to find him that badly, we can do it without alot of trouble. You need to recover first. Let's go back." Gale jumped "But we can't just let him go like tha--" He was cut short by Amer, who struck him one quick time from behind, sending him to dream world "Sorry pal, but there right. Following him would probably kill you." Emilio nodded to him as the other did. Emilio then looked to Chrys "You go ahead and take him back to the hotel. It might not be the safest place, but he'll recover there quicker then if we left him here in the woods." She seemed a bit hesitant at first, but then nodded "Yeah, he's still bleeding. We couldn't fix him out here." She took off to the air and grace went to leave with her, when Emilio spoke up "Wait a minute." She turned and looked to Emilio, who was still not even sure why he stopped her "I need to speak with you." Emilio was already menatally kicking himself for speacking up. She nodded and he waved her over so the two could talk in privacy. Once a fair enough distance from the Amer and Sarin, who were getting ready to go find a place for them to camp out for the night, he turned to her "Have you ever heard of a girl named Kamilla Torrono." Grace looked to his eyes for a moment "She was the one of me you knew?" Emilio turned his eyes down "Yes. She was the one I knew." He was bleeding out his own ear with his own self anger at this point. What the hell was he doing talking to this girl about her. She walked over to him "What was your relation to her?" Every cell in Emilios brain was shouting SHUT UP. DON'T SAY ANYTHING. But his lips moved "We were close."

What do you do when you have nothing to do?
Starwind replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in General Discussion
If I have nothing to do, I'm usually here. This is more fun then most anything else I can do at home. I can't contact many of my friends, at least before nine (Damn cell phone hours). Anyway, I find this place to be very interesting and spend most of the free time I have here. That or modifying my online journal account to let people know what I'm thinking about that particular day. Yes, people really do care about what I'm thinking. -
I just read it and I'm very impressed with it so far. The artwork kind of makes me think of ink painting the the way it's done. It's also alot like water painting. The lead, Asuna, is an interesting girl and an interesting chose for lead in a gundam series manga. I think any fans of the gundam series should pick this one up, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

Tommy sent his sister to sleep shortly after dinner, they were both worn out from the day. But Tommys work wasn't done yet, he still had to go to the hospital to arrange for what to do with his mothers body. They had decided that she wanted to be creamated along time ago, he just never imagined it would come so soon. Once he had set his sister to bed and he was sure she was out for the night, he slipped out and headed down town. They had probably already sent her body to the morgue, that was near the central district. That was about a good 40 minute walk from here, but he had no other way. He started on his way to the morgue to go see his mom when he saw a familiar face coming out of the record store just up the street a little ways, he stopped "Hey, Antonia." SHe stopped and looked to him "Oh, hey ther Tommy boy." She walked over to him "What are you doin' out this late? Not to cause trouble, right." She said taunting him. He smiled a bit "No, in all the chaos today, I haven't been to the morgue yet. I have to go there and see my moms body." Antonia looked to him and nodded "Alright. Your going to be okay on the way there right." Tommy nodded "I'll be fine. See ya." He walked passed her, then stopped as a thought hit him "Oh yeah, Antonia. I'm not going to be at school tomorrow. Figure I should stop in on that place you mentioned. I'll see ya after school tomorrow." She nodded and waved to him "Alright. You better be home when I get out of school. I figure for that little bit of help I gave you, you owe me another meal." Tommy laughed "Sounds fair. I'll be waiting. Mind you, it'll probably be left overs again." "Ehhh, beggers can't be choosers. See ya after school." She walked off with a casual wave over her shoulder and Tommy went about his way to the morgue to see his mom one last time.

Upon leaving the cabin of the plane and entering the terminal, Kazuma was quickly taken by two guards already waiting for him. The two quickly and casually moved alongside him, but Kazuma could instantly tell who they were and what they were doing. He was guided off from the rest of the group to retrieve his equipment in the far back room near the luggage terminal. They enterd through a closed, metal door labled with such things as "Do not Enter" and "Authorized Personnel" and what not. They walked in the door and the room inside was loud and dingy. A dull concrete grey, with the sound of the mechanical equipment running all around them. The machinery made the room both humid and very warm. A man, despite the heat and humidity, dressed in a black suit came out from behind one of the running gears draggind behind him a cart that held a his payload of weapons. The man wheeled it over and began to speak over the load machinery "These are the armaments you requested. I assume you know the rules, but for arguements sake. You are not to touch even a singel object on this cart til you are well outside the airport and off the grounds. If you do, one of the guards we have stationed along your route will gun you down, if neccesary. Do you understand." Kasuma nodded lightly and the man went on "Very good. If you should suffer any problems, you can reach me at this contact. If any of your comrades give you a problem, Mr.**** has given you permission to take them out. You will go to the mission point. From there, the team will recieve it's mission. After that...." The man pulled a small cell phone without any number pads on it. It had a single button that read "start" and "stop" the man continued "I will contact you with further instruction. This is strictly confidential, orders straight from Mr.****. If you divulge this information to anyone, even another of your own party, or give yourself away in any manner, you and the comprimise will be soundly and swiftly dealt with. Is this understood Mr.Uta." Kazuma nodded once more lightly. The man returned the nod and moved the cart over to him. Kazuma took the handle of the cart and slowly left the loud, hot and humid room, wheeling the cart behind him, his two guards from before following the whole while. Despite the fact they were in the room, they were standing so far back that they probably heard nothing. But, he would probably get the order to deal with them shortly after leaving the airport. He walked out to the others who stood out front waiting for pick up to leave the airport.

Emilio ran to the window sil "Damn it, he's as much an idiot as Achilles." Emilio ran passed Grace and headed for the bathroom. She walked in after him "What are you doing in here?" "I've been in a city like this before. It has plumbing, which means easy water. Sure it's not as pure as the stuff I brought so it's a bit lacking, but it'll do for what I have planned." He started the sind and the tub going, then turned to Grace "What are you still doing here? Go after him." "He said not to." "Do you do everything your told. You may respect his orders as a king, but let me tell you something. He's my friend, not my king. The only one who tells me what to do is me. Now either go down there and help, or shove off." She stepped back from him for a moment then went to the window "You want me to take you down don't y---" Emilio flew passed her out the window, surrounded by the water he had taken from the sink and tub, even though it wasn't very pure. He moved in a free fall to the earth, facing straight down. The girl was following behind, but she was much further up then he was. He fell faster and faster as teh world zipped past him. As he neared the ground he deployed his water like a bubble and caught himself in it, breaking his fall. He landed to the looks of all the people standing by the road. He also noticed a dumb struck Chrys and Amer, who seemed abit confused by his sudden outburst. Chrys marched up to him as Grace slowly approached "What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to draw more attention then we ---" "Gale's been injured. And of all things the idiot has gone on ahead, back to the forest. We need to go after him. You and wind girl her and get there faster, take to the skies and get it done, me, Amer and Sarin will be right behind." She nodded without another word and her and Grace took to the air to find Gale and where that injured idiot had gone off to.
-
Emilio and the others followed Gale to the rooms. They were on a much higher level, almost 80 stories up. It was an amazing veiw of the city, but that wasn't what Emilio was thinking of at the moment. He couldn't get this girl off his mind, not only was she the same race, but she even looked like Kami. What made it worse was the realization that he didn't hate or was even mad at Kami. Even after it all he was still in love with her. Despite the fact it was him who killed her. Once the elevator stopped the six got out and went to the far end of a seemingly endless hall. At the end were two rooms on opposite ends of the hall. Gale, Sarin and Chrys went in one and Emilio, Amer, Achilles and the new girl in another, Grace in the other. The room he had enterd was spectacular, it could pass as royal dwellings. The floor was solid marble tile with a gold floor moldings. The room was painted a light yellow color. It had three master beds, each easily big enough for four people. Emilio felt like he was back home, minus the over veiw of the city. It felt like his mothers palace under the depths for the northern lakes. He soon left the room and met with gale back in the hallway "It looks amazing. How about yours?" Gale nodded "It's quite impressive." Emilio grimissed a bit "But why all this special treatment? this is a rather extravagant way to say 'I'm sorry'." Gale shook his head "They haven't given us reason to suspect anything yet , so we should trust them I 'm thinking. Just stay on your toes and remain vigilant." Emilio nodded and turned to the room "Gotcha" Gale nodded and did the same. Emilio enterd the room where the other three were still looking around. Achilles looked a bit out of place, like he didn't know how to respond. Emilio walked up to him "Not used to this kind of place are you." Achilles turned to him "I've lived in the forest for three years, this is a bit of a culture shook to be happening all at once." Emilio looked about the room a bit "I can imagine. Anyway, Gale says we'll be staying put for a little bit at least. Just stay on your toes, not that I have to tell you." Achilles nodded and went back about searching the room over. Emilio noticed the other girl, Grace, in the back of the room near the window. Emilio stopped for a moment, then went ot the girl "Hey" She turned quickly to him as he continued "I suppose you don't know me very well yet so let me introduce myself a little more formally. My name is Emilio Batou, I am the demon prince of the great northern lakes." She stopped and looked to him for a moment, while he re-examined what he just did. Introduction wasn't his thing, so why did he make her the exception? Did she really get to him that much?
-
The group headed toward the now bellowing smoke rising from the forest. Emilio felt pretty comfortable, he knew Gale could handle himself. This however shifted when he saw the batterd and beaten Gale and the strange opponent, who seemed unharmed. This could not be a good sign, Gale was no weakling, but this guy seemed like he was just toying with him. He hadn't even broken a sweat. Emilio didn't feel to good about any of this. He didn't have much water left in the jug and there was no open source, he was gonna have to make this quick. Emilio waved Achilles over "This guy is a serious customer. Fight fast and hard. We'll do what we did to kill my old man." He looked back to Chrys and the new girl "You two give support." Then turning to Amer and Sarin "You two go around the back and we'll surround him." Everyone nodded and they spread out. The man stood frozen, but didn't seem even the slightest bit worried. Was he insane, or just too stupid to realize the trouble he was in? Or there was the more worring thoght, he was so calm because he knew the didn't stand a chance. Either way, the decision was made and there was no turning back. Emilio drew his sword from the jug and the five of Achilles, Amer, Sarin, Gale and himself, charged the single target at once. Emilio and Achiilles swung and him and were both caught by his spear. This was a disturbing sight that he could stop both them at once, with one hand no less. But then his back was exposed to Amer and Sarin, who then charged up an attack and fired. As the blast approached he seemed to disappear from sight, leaving Emilio and Achilles in the path of the two blasts. The two quickly jumped clear as they were nearly mowed over. Achilles got up and looked around frantically "Where did he go?" That was a good question, one quickly answerd by the thudding blow from behind, as he quickly struck Emilio then Achilles with speed that mad ethem seem as if he had hit both at once. That was impossible, how could anyone be that fast.

opinions on gun control/right-to-carry concealed weapons
Starwind replied to Dale_Valley's topic in General Discussion
If you had read my post ore carefully you could have taken not that I did mention pickpockets and the fact that they might not just take it from you. If the guy needs the money, why does he need it. I know you want to think it's some sweet ambitious goal like getting medicine for his sick mother of sister or something like that. The truth of the matter is more likely he's a drug addict. The odds of there being some extreme sircumstance behind it are actually really remote. Guys in this country who need money that bad usually resort to panhandleing, I see them all the time. They stand out with a sign that says thing like "Homeless war vet Needs food" or something along those lines. If he steals from you, then he's probably a really desperate guy. A pickpocket is more likely to stab you, while they're taking what they want out of your pocket. Why? Because if your bleeding and crippled you can't follow them. If they needed money bad enough to take it from you, then this is a man capible of almost anything. I only mentioned serial killers as a token to the idea that, if they could just go "Oh he stole from me, lets kill him." Odd are they would turn to that level of violence regardless of the situation at some point or another. -
I can already see them grannies on the streets.. "Oh no, he stole my purse, let's shoot the bastard!"
Let me reiterate this, if he was bold enough to steal from you, then the idea of killing you is probably already on his mind. If he took a ladies purse by force, odds are he'd also stab her when he was done and leave her. Even a pickpocket, lots of times here, will run up, stab you from behind, take what he wants quickly and take off running. Your explanation is ridiculous and unrealistic. Why? because your standard, normal, healthy human being has a harder time grasping the concept of murdering a another then the criminal in question. This has been proven with numerous tests done on the psycology and even the brain structure of noted serial killers. They don't think the same as you or me who would be much more opposed to killing someone. Don't take into account the idea that people will kill jst because they're able. If they can make the decision as easy as you have stated above, then they were probably already or were someday going to be killers. -
It all happend so quickly, it still hadn't registerd completely in his mind. Emilio was somewhere he didn't recognize and flet light headed and dizzy, like he had been sent through a whirl pool. He sat up and saw most everyone else, the only exception being Gale, he was nowhere to be seen. Emilio got to his feet and approached the new girl who still seemd a bit disoriented. He put his hand to her "Feeling alright." She looked to him for a moment the took his hand "I'm fine." Emilio pulled her to her feet and went to Chrys and Achllies standing not twenty feet away. He walked to them "What the hell just happend here?" Chrys turned "Your guess is as good as anyone elses. We all seem to have just awakend here." Emilio looked around "And what of Gale?" "We're not sure. We can't find him." "Is there a possiblity that he didn't get pulled into the void?" Achilles shook his head "Maybe, but unlikely. If were all here I don't see why he wouldn't be." Emilio nodded "Right. So what do we do now? Do you think we should pair off and start looking for him." Chrys shook her head "I don't know how good an idea it is to seperate in a place none of us are familiar with." Achilles nodded in agreement "She's right. It might not be as effective, but we should probably stay together, til we get our bearings." The three nodded to each other. Emilio looked back to the new girl who seemed to be standing off a bit, til Emilio waved her over. He brought her over and looked to Chrys "You two can both fly, why don't the two of perform a survey of the area from above." Chrys nodded and her and the other girl went to the sky. Achilles walked to Emilio "Do you think we can trust this girl?" Emilio turned to him "She hasn't given reason not to." "Are you okay with this, having another girl like that here?" "How do you mean?" "Kami, is this going to cause problems?" "No, why would it?" "Alright. Just make sure it stays that way." Emilio nodded to him and the conversation ended.

Kazuma turned his head to look to the window, he looked down to the open ocean beneath him. It was such an open vast world down there, but like his own life, was so distant for him. He set his head back in the chair, he kept his thoughts to the mission. He still wasn't sure why they would have kept it so hush hush from them, or why they would risk sending him with others, or even so far away. Did they simply not see him as a threat anymore? **** once said to him, after a thwarted escape attempt "Your a wild cat. Like those lions they capture from the wild and put in zoos. Ones like you are always the most fun to break. And I'll know when I've done it to. Your eyes will glaze and that fire that I can hear in your throat will die out." Was that what was happening to him? Was he the broken lion? Guess that was all that was left to him now. **** had promised he would do it, and he looks to have succeeded. Kazumas once firery gaze had become as frigid as ice, and the roar in his throat was nothing more then an echo now. Kazuma would have felt ashamed only six months ago, but now felt nothing for it. He had let himself doze in and out of consiousness on this long and wind numbing flight, but now he could see the main land beneath them. Soon they would land and they would begin yet another mission. Kazuma didn't think much of it, he had never worked with others before, but that didn't mean it was different. He'd kill again and then return to that small cell with no windows and a door which was so narrow one could only hope to fit there body through it. He felt the rattle of the plane as the decent began. The rumble in his stomach as the plane slowly dropped to the earth brought on the memories of all the missions of old. The blood, the cries, the tears, the fear, the anger, the sorrow all these were bi-products of his time spent slaughtering his fellow man. He was called many a time to kill even the innocent becaus they ahd been unfortunate enough to bear witness to his mission. The tires screeched briefly as the touched the tarmat beneath them. To this, Kazuma opened his eyes and looked to the terminal from which they would set off.

Your MATURE opinions on homosexuality
Starwind replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
At the heart of the matter I don't see why this is sucha controversy. True I can't speak from a religous point of veiw since I haven't fallen inot that group since I was about 8. But on a personal level I have no problem with homosexuality. I'm army enlisted and you find that a great deal of those enlisted are usually homo phobes, I just got to say. Is there anymore of a useless thing a person could be, to be all worked up and afraid of Homsexuals. I just find it all pointless. I'm straight, I'm not even a little bi, but I have nothing agains those who are. To hold something against someone for there sexual preference is senseless and sometimes it even becomes hateful. Gay marriage, why not. If it's something someone really wants to persue, sure more power to you. As it stands, I have no plans for mariage myself, and I mean lie ever. But if someone wants to they shouldn't be denied because of this. I thought we were suppose to living in an enlighten age, latly it's seeme more like the dark ages. The army is practically on a whitch hunt for gays and throwing them out of the army left and right. I just want to put forward my disapproval for this senseless attempt to hold down the gay community and say "Get over it." This isn't a new subject, this has been on every bodies radars for a while now, shouldn't we, as a society, be a little more comfortable with this idea by now then we seem to be. Just putting my thoughts in on the equation. -
opinions on gun control/right-to-carry concealed weapons
Starwind replied to Dale_Valley's topic in General Discussion
Well, I would just like to state I am in the army and I have handled guns before. I would also like to state this, I live in florida where, as of October, you can legally shot and kill a person in self-defense as long as you have reason to believe your life was in danger. I know alot of people here think that's horrible and what not, but it's better then the former. The old law said you couldn't assault an attacker in anyway unless you tired to run away from them. I know some of you are thinking now "But that's what you should do." Fine but let me say this. What if he has a knife or a gun himself? You get up and turn around to run and he stabs or shots you in the back because you didn't stand and fight. About three years ago a man in New York was being mugged. He retaliated and broke his attackers arm withhis bare hands. No guns involved here. The guy being mugged was then sued by the mugger, because it was later discoverd that the man was a martial arts instructor. How is that fair? I know alot of you are agains the whole idea of needing a gun to protect yourself, ut here in the states sick crap like that happens everyday. And I do mean everyday. Think about it, here in the US, everyday someone is mugged at gun point and usually killed after the fact, regardless if they gave them the money or not. At the end of the day, if the guy is desperate enough to mug you, killing you is just as easy in his mind. As a soilder, I am trained and leagally permitted to carry a gun on my person, and where I live it says I can shot somebody on the street if I feel my life is in danger, and that is only logical. I see none of you have probably never been faced with how brutal and senseless some of these crimes can be, but here in the US the muggers, robbers, and rappists hold nothing back. If they can rob you, mug you, rape you then killing you is just as easy as anything else. I know people say we live in an age of fear, and I'll agree to an extent that's true. But for one to be given the right to protect themselves like that is not a bad thing. Here's another great crime story from the USA. A cop came across a pimp beating the crap out of a prostitute. The officer stepped in and slapped cuffs on that pimp. And when her back was turned the same prostitute stabbed her in the back, leaving the officer crippled and left for dead in the street. Maybe it's not as bad there, but here it is. Your general public here does need a way to protect itself. Another story, one I was closely tied to. A woman in a neighborhood I used to live in was attacked by a man who was going to rape her. She managed to russel free and started to run. When she did he got to his feet and stabbed her in kidney. She survived and now she carries a gun with her wherever she goes. Here in the states the likelyhood of being mugged in your own neighborhood, or even by someone you know is about one in ten. Maybe you don't need to protect yourself, but the logic for our needingto his undeniable. I have showed you here that if someone can commit any form of violent crime, the next step (Being murder) in not far outside the spectrum. And when faced with that situation, running is not an option. And even compling can end in your death, so what is the answer here. If the police can't stop every criminal it is your duty as an american to protect yourself and be ready to do so. If someone breaks into your house, it is your duty to your famiy to decide who's life you hold in higher regard, the robber who will likely kill you and your whole family when he's done or your family. I think I've made my arguement. -
Meeting new friends and old alike, this was just one hell of a day this had turned into. The only down sid ewas now the arch mage knew they were there, but with these two with him they might stand a pretty steady chance of winning. The wind whistled and the air grew warmer, Emilio motioned to the other two "Scatter!" The three jumped, dove and flew free of the inferno blast that had been directed toward them. Emilio looked too Sarin "Guess we got to fight him now." Sarin smirked "We can handle this wuss." Emilio smirked, then turned his attention to the new girl. She was a master of the wind, just like Kami was. This was a little akward, it felt like a reunion with the dead girl. He shook this feeling off and he felt the air warm up again, and he then rolled clear of the blast. He motioned to the others "Sarin, flank the right side. New girl, take the rear." Emilio positioned himself in the front. The elfen mage drew his fire again and Emilio drew his water. He knew that straight one he couldn't beat him, but he might distract him long enough to give the others a chance to land a blow. The fire came at him, and all Emilio could see was the white, searing heat coming straight at him. He set the water before him like a barrier, as the fire made contact the water quickly began to burst into steam. As the mist settled, Emilio was still standing and still un harmed, but that couldn't be asured for a second attack.
