Starwind

The ceiling to the shrine ripped open and Shun took flight from there on his black wings. He soared through the air with a great speed, headed to the sight of the dark clouds. He arrived to see Lee pinning Mailynn to the ground, Shun brought his sword up and a flash went loose. Lee glanced back slightly and got clear of the blast. Shun could see him muttering something to himself but he only picked up on one word "enemy". Shuns' eyes grew black "FIne, if I'm your enemy then come at me." Lee jumped for him and swung with his sword. Shun lifted his sword with the handle facing the sky and the tip facing th ground and interecpted Lees attack. Shuns hand trebled and then he set his other hand on the sword and flung Lee off him. Shun pointed his tip to Lee again let loose another dark blast that caused the building wall behind Lee to crumble to small bite size pieces. Lee had managed to get clear, but Shun held his position, unwavering in his determination. Lee stood staring at Shun, who waited for Lees attack. They had become consumed by each other, one darkness feeding off the other. It was as if at that moment noone else existed in the world. These were two men consumed in hatred, two forces forever destined to stand against each other. Shun brought his blade up and called out to Lee "Come at me. Or would you stand there like a coward and except the fact that you are not strong enough."

Tommy awoke the next morning sleeping next to Kiya, who was still sleeping. He got up and dressed himself then kissed the sleeping Kiyas fore head. He went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast. He cracked a few eggs and started to fry up some bacon to go with some toast. he turned to the window and could feel something pulling him there. Then as suddenly as this feeling appeared it was gone, Tommy brushed it off as a residual effect of the chaos of only a few days ago, he had been feeling pretty strange since then. For some reason he kept thinking of that strange sensation, but tried to stay focused on cooking, trying not to burn anything. He kept wondering on what happend to the statues remains and what was that dragons connection to Striker and was that the end of it? He couldn't seemed to stay focused on the topic at hand, so he just cleared his mind and began to set the table for breakfast. It was kind of strange, he had always just eaten alone until he met Kiya, she had given his life new meaning and seemed more eager about the morning. He had finished setting up the table and breakfast was ready, he smiled at his work "Guess it's time to wake up Kiya." He then turned and went back to the bedroom to get her up for breakfast.

Emilio was filled with a combanation of rage and joy that she had stepped up to him. He watched her take off flying to the edges of the camp "This is what I've been waiting for. She'll make a fine opponent, she has real guts. Unlike the slime here." He walked after her slicing soilders as they scrambled to gather there weapons or escape. Emilios translucent armor flickerd red against the flames of burning tanks and tents. He walked after Chrys where she sat in a tree next to the mortal known as Achilles. He appeared to be injured, but he was unintreseted in him, he wanted Chrys and he wanted her to fight him. He was driven by his blood lust to figth an opponent like her, one who didn't fear him, one who would fight without running. He stood at the base of the tree and looked up to her still siting next to Achilles "Woman, you have shown me your true colors. When I first met you I figured you for a coward for teaming with mortals, but now I see you for what you truly are. Come down and fight me, I have searched long and hard ofr one such as you." He smiled as she turned down to look at him with a look of surprise and anger on her face. He smiled "I only joined to find a challenge worthy of my effort. These soilders are pathetic, I want to fight you, someone with no fear."

Rob walked down the staircase, not looking at the man to his right. They walked in stride and finally reached the bottom, which must have been 300 feet beneath the room they started in. Rob walked and the second rack on the left had his name above it. As the commander had said, it had all he had requested. They had his desert eagles and berreta pistol, as well as his M-16 A2 rifle he had requested, he had become quite fond of this weapon in basic and always kept one with him on missions. Aside from the things he had requested there were a few extra things, inluding some grenades. He picked through them "These aren't really that great for urban combat." he said to himself as he set them back on the rack. He reached on to the rack and pulled out a couple estra clips for his beretta and one extra clip for his M-16 and started to mount everything in with his holseter.

Emilio was quiet pleased with his handy work, he had managed to turn this boring night into quiet the little party. He watched as the others disappeared into a shadow. He stood up "Guess I should go to. It'd be rude if the host didn't show up to the party he helped start." With that he jumped into the water and quickly rushed after them. As he reached the camp nearest to the river he launched from the water like a torpedo and slammed through an inactive tank. He had used the river water well and had crafted him self some armor, a crescent spear, and a long katana. He watched as it seemd the others had beat him there "What ashame to be lat e to the party. Oh well, I'll just have to make up for lost time." With that he jumped into one of the tents and began butchering the three medics and the two injured soilders there. He laughed and split his way heading for all the medical tents, there was mo mercy on the field of battle. He watched as injured men scrambled to escape there beds to leave as he savaged there body, literally shredding them "Don't fight a war unless your willing to die a most brutal death." He began to laugh as the injured men began to scream in terror.

Shun was locked deep in his own mind, lost to the shadows of the unconsious world. He trembled and tried to move, but could only feel cold. His friends were fighting Lee and he couldn't do anything to help, he couldn't even save himself. H heard someone, someone close. He heard "You have to make it.... your the guardian." Shun was losing it, he was overcome with guilty. Shun shouted into the darkness "I'll do it. I'll sell my soul if I can save the ones who are so precious to me." For a moment, silence. Then from the darkness came a laugh "Good... now we can be free again, as it should be. Now know true power." SHun felt a surge of cold flow through him, like his blood had turned to ice. was this what darkness felt like? It didn't matter anymore, all that matterd was helping the others and if he could do that, then all the consequences were worth it. He Rose from the bed and glowed with a black light engulfing his body. He could here the voice "With this power we will destroy evil." Shun began to laugh with the dark spirit inside. As the light sub sided, he could see Makai standing at the edge of the bed staring at him, as he had once again changed. however, this time he seemed far more menacing, both in appearance and in presense.

James watched the smoke clear "Dantes always got to put his two cents in." James laughed a little, then set his attention on his mother again. He whipped his chains at her as she took back to the sky. As she did James diverted them to catch he ankles. He leaped to the sky charging her once again, his mother drew her strength in again and prepared to strike. The blast fired and James crossed his forearms in front of his face. Once the blast came within a few inches, he pushed his forearms forward like a pair of scissors, catching the blast. He locked it in his arms and began charging to his mother again. He spun his body and threw the blast back at her she flew over it and as she did James took the high ground above her and drove the barb of his chain into her skull and out of her bottom jaw. He swung her on the chain and slammed her to the ground. He brought his knee crashing down on her limp body, he then set his hand on her forehead and a bright flash comsumed her body. James looked down to the ground "Now you can rest peacefully mother." As he began to rise again his body began to tremor violently "No. Not now, why now?" He said as he fell to one knee "I've taken on a lot of hatred. I have to hurry." His body trebled and horribly as he got back to his feet.

James heard a blast come from the gate, he turned quickly to see it was shrinking away. The doorway had been destroyed, it didn't matter to him, he hadn't planned on living through this anyway and hell was all that was waiting for him. He turned and marched waiting to see who else that bastard would send after him. He was still here, that voice that guided him for so long, the one who tempted him, he was waiting at the castle, laughing at him. James was filled with a pure hatred, that was beyond comprehension. He marched forward and a smell filled the, otherwise putride, air. It was a familiar scent, it comforted james. Where had he known it from. Like a rock from the sky it hit him and jumped to the air as a set of long claws shot from the ground toward his chest. He managed to make it clear of the attack and looked down to see yet another woman standing there. This time he knew who it was "Mother, it's been a long time." The woman began to cackle like a hyena. She looked up to him with these dark eyes "My sweet boy, come to your mother. I'm going to send to sleep, now do as mother tells you." She lunged to the air at James and swung with her claws, she didn't seem much more menacing then his sister, he would purge her quickly and move on. he drew his chains and struck with unspeakable force, latching them to his mothers arms. She pulled at them, but couldn't wriggle free, James closed the gap quickly and intneded to make his first blow the last. He was moving with great speed and percision, as he drew to the final few feet he saw a flash and was over come with a burning as a powerful blast pushed him back and drove his to the ground. He looked up and saw his mother floating in the sky, holding a glowing purple orb "Now now, mommy dosen't like it when you try to hurt her. It's about time a gave you your punishment." She dropped the orb on to James who tried to hold it, but with little success. The energy seemed to burn like nepalm, even after it was gone he could still feel the burning. Why was she so much stronger then his sister?

Shun was on the brink of consiousness, he couldn't feel anything anymore. he had lost too much blood. Everything seemed really dark, he could hear a commotion down at the ground again, he had failed to kill her. He couldn't move, but he knew it was his responsibility. As he tried to struggle to his feet he could feel a chill run down his spine, like he had been touched with ice. he started to hear a voice "I can help you. You want to save that girl, just pledge yourself to me and I will give strength to destroy all your enemies." Shun froze for a moment, could this really be true. he hesitated "Your the darkness inside me aren't you. Sorry, no deal. I don't bargin with evil." THe voice in his head started to laugh "What other choices do you have, stay here and let then die or except me and help them." Shun was filled with anger, he hated this voice, but how could he deny it, he was useless the way he was. Shun swallowed the dry air in his mouth "The answers still no." The voice laughed again "That didn't sound as assertive as last time. Don't worry I'll be waiting for when you change your mind." The voice disapated as Shun sat trembling in both pain and fear. Or maybe it was because of how cold he was feeling, either way, he knew he was in a bad position.

Tommy layed down on top of her and began kissing her chech then he worked his way down to her neck. He started toatake her shirt off and he whisperd in her ear "Don't worry, noone will disturb us this time." He looked into her eyes and they smiled at each other. He started kissing her chest and started to take her pants off. He ran his hand along her bare inner thigh kissing her chest lightly. SHe put her hands in his pants and began to take his pants off. He wraped his arms around her and undid her bra nd pulled it off her as she took his shirt off. She set her hand on his shoulder and pushed her way on top of him.

Emilio floated in his absolution with the water. he could here the voices from the camp, but it was just Sarin and Gale, Chrys was there too, but she seemed kind of discontent from the others. Emilio shrugged it off, it was no business of his. He was about to fall asleep when he heard the word 'soilder', this caught his ear and he began to wonder if maybe there were some more near by. He started to float up stream, sure enough he found a few stragglers gathering water right by the river about 500 feet north of the camp. Emilio smiled "Yeah, there right in the zone of no escape." He slowly let the water creep up to there feet, letting it draw ever closer. Once it came up the the third man standing four feet off the waters edge, he pulled them sharply, quickly and virtually soundlessly intot he water with him. the men thrashed obout trying to reach the surface, but were locked in postion. Emilio floated in front of them and started to crush there bodies with a intense preasure. He watched as the first ones eyes ripped free of his skull adn the blood soon started to fill the water. Emilio laughed as the men toiled and died a most horrible death.

Sarah drew her hand back and with a sweep over the ground a sudden fissure ripped open under James feet and he took to the skies. His sister took off after him and he threw his chains at her she rolled and evaded them. James pulled back and diverted his chains into her back. She remain un detered and dug her nails into James stomach, her nails felt like they were as hard as iron and burned like they were molten. James brougth up his foot and heel pushed off him then threw his chains to her again. Shr gabbed them and James used them to pull himself to her, he drew back his fist and slammed her across the face witht he back of his hand. This sent her twenty feet in the other direction, but she managed to maintain flight. She rubbed her check and looked to James again "So you'd kill me a second time? Your the one who belongs in hell brother." She said and charged him again. James was having a hard time fighting her with all his strength, he was the one who sent her soul her as a sacrifice. She was here because he gave her to them. James remained firm, he wouldn't question himself now, she was now the enemy and he would destroy her if he had to. As she drew closer James brought his knees up and smashed her in the face. Then he grabbed the back of her head and he plumeted to the earth and buried her in the ground with one powerful slam. He grabbed hold of one of her legs and pulled her free of the ground, as she came free she immediatly dug her nails into his stomach again, aiming for the same spot. James cringed for a moment, then booted her in her stomach. He jumped forward and meet her fallen body with a fist, crushing the ground beanth her. He picked her up by the the collar of her shirt and looked in the eyes. She scowled at him again "Well , go ahead and kill me. I know that's what you planned on doing." James looked at her and smiled for a moment. He set his hand on her head "Don'tt worry, I'll make this right." There was a flash of bright energy and when James opened his eyes he looked up as the white light faded in to the dark smoke "I have purged your soul, go to heaven Sarah. I'm sorry I can't do better then that." He looked back down tot he ground and started to march again. His family was down here and he knew this was goin to just one long gauntlet of horror, having to fight loved one after loved one.

Shun heard an eruption and jumped up in the bed, he saw Toome was gone. He transformed and took on his guardian role again, he could tell that whatever was happening it wasn't good. he ran out the door and went down stairs, it was the woman from earlier. He could see Tomoe and Hitomi 'there not ready to fight her yet' he thought to himself. Shun stepped forward "Hey bitch, I'm your opponent. Unless you'd rather run away with your tail between your legs rigth now." The woman scowled at Shun "This is my chance pay you back for the embaracement of before." Shun drew his sword and charged her. He gripped it with both hands and swung straight down as she slid to the side as she did before, but Shun had learned from their last conflict the way she fought. In mid swing he diverted it tot he right to clip her shoulder. She let out a ylp and Shun smiled "Didn't think I'd fall for your tactic twice in one day did you." Shun gripped the sword with both hands and set it above his head, the tip pointed to the woman. The woman crouched and Shun charged, as he drew within striking distance she disappeared. Shun halted and looked around "Did she run? No she's still here, but where?" Shun felt a light wind and spun about in just enough time to get stabbed in the ribs with about two inchs of dagger. Shun screamed as it pierced his flesh. The woman began to laugh "I told you I'd kill you this time." she said as she tried to force through Shuns grip to push the blade in further. Shun groaned, diverting all his strength to his right hand to stop the blade. He set the tip of his blade over his blade against the inside of his rigth leg. He took a deep breath "Here goes trouble." With that he plunged the sword through his leg and caught the woman int he abdomin. She froze for a moment then fell to the ground. Her grip on the dagger loosend and Shun capitalized by plunging his sword the rest of the way through her gut. Shun drew the sword back and pulled it out of his own leg, as the sword came free he started to fall to the ground.

Shun jumped through an open window at Tomoes, he walked in and headed to her room "You look pretty beat there Tomoe." Shun said smiling. She smiled back at him "Thank you for going through the trouble." SHun just smiled and laughed "Don't sweat it. Besides, if I was any kind of guardian, you wouldn't have gotten hurt like that." he said as he set her down in her bed. he put his hand on her breast and kissed her "you take it easy for a while. AS for your gift, I'll give that to you when your better, I want you on your A game cause it's gonna be one hell of a night." he said with a smile and he started to walk down stairs. He heard her call to him, so he turned and went back up stairs "Yeah, is there anything you need me to do." She looked at him and smiled "Yeah, could you come lay down nex to me." Shun smiled and laughed "Now are sure this is the time, you should be resting." She laughed "No, I promise, I just want you to stay." SHun smiled for a minute staring at her with those big puppy dog eyes "Okay, but you need to rest." She rose he right hand "I promise." with that he cralwed in to bed next to her and set his arms around her stomach "Now rest." She giggled "Yes sir." he layed there holding her in his arms and he began to doze off with her.

Tommy walked in and watched as Kiya dozed off. he looked at her and watched her sleep, as she did he ran his hand through her hair. He moved in next to her and fell asleep by her side, clenching her in his arms. He smiled and leaned up to her ear "I love you." then he kissed her cheek. When he woke up he noticed she had turned over and was now holding on to him as well. She smiled "Good orning sunshine." she said with a smile and then she kissed him. He set his hand on her face again and got up from the bed "I'll be taking you back to my place tonight. You can stay with me for a while." He bent back down to her and they kissed. After he finished he took her in his arms and walked outside to the caravan who was prepareing to leave.

Shun walked to the unconsious Lee, he bent over and picked him up "He looks okay. How did you do that?" She looked at Shun and smiled "that's my secret mister guardian." Shun smirked "Hey, I'm still new at this. til only an hour ago the most unique thing about me was my uncanny ability to sleep in almost any position, now I'm a guardian of a ninja shrine and a master of sound." Shun said to the girl. He looked to her again "We haven't been very fomally introduced have we, I've seen you before, but It's rude for a man to not introduce himself properly to a lady." He coughed a little "My name is Shun. And you are?" She smiled to him "My name is Mailynn." Shun put his hand out and they shook on it. Shun hiked Lee up pn to his shoulder 'well now that were formally introduced, I suppose we should get our friend here back to the shrine." With that said he quickly jumped to the air and was followed by Mailynn. Shun jumped over head, as he traveled he looked downa nd saw that Tomoe was still down there. He turned to Mailynn "Here you think you can handle him, I need to take care of Tomoe." She nodded and he passed her the still unconsious Lee. Shun jumped down to where tomoe still lay unconsious herself. He set his hand on the side of her face and started tapping her. She groaned a little then looked up to the relieved Shun "Good to see your still with us. You took quiet a blow." She sat up and rubbed her stomach, she then snapped back to her senses "What happend to Lee?" Shun quickly put his hands on her shoulders to calm her "Don't worry, he's fine and back to his old self again." She sighed and layed back down. Shun picked her up "I'll take you back home now, okay." She nodded and Shun jumped off.

Emilio shrugged "I guess I'm not much better, I like sleeping in rivers, but then again I'm a Kappa." Emilio turned and went to the river again. He turned to the group I'm going to the river again. I'll be back in the morning." Chrys looked to him "What if we get attacked in the night or you get attacked when your alone?" Emilio sighed "I'm not far away so if you get attacked I'll hear it and if some one is stupid enough tot attack a water demon in water they deserve the slow death they will reiceve." Emilio stretched and walked into the water and slowly disappeared beneath the surface.

He had finally recieved the orders he was waitng for, The order to go home and deal with the crisis. Rob was charged and ready to go, he was going to bury his size 12 in some ass. he walked into the room and saw two other privates, both women "Hello ladies". He walked in and noticed that he was dealing with two E-2 privates, him being private first class gave him rank, even if only slightly. He took his seat and set his feet p on the table "So when are we suppose to meet our commander?" Occ: I said it before I'll say it again, There's no such thing as private second and third class. James stood back and watched as the two sisters went at it "So, Jory's like us. Kind of surprising." WithThat being said, James turned and headed for the castle again. He looked ahead to see a small army of eatters standing in front of him "Well, you guys don't learn you lesson do you?" James let his barbed chains roll down. He braced himself for there charge, when he noticed they were parting in the back to front motion. Something was coming to front, toward James "Well, looks like we have a new fool ready to fall into nothingness." Then someone walked through the croawed and spoke to James "Trader, you did this and now you will pay." James looked ahead, unable to see the persons face "Who are you and why do I care?" The person began to laugh and walked closer, there image coming into focus. It was another woman "You do this to me." She said over and over again. James threw his chains at the person. She grabbed the chains and dropped them. She flicked her hair back and spoke again "Is taht anyway to treat your little sister?" She jumped forward and dug her nails in to James black skin. James looked to the girl 'it can't be Sarah, it just can't' She jumped back and landed roughly twenty feet away "Come on big brother, kill me like you did before."

Shun rose from the rubble, he was imbedded in the wall of the building across from the department store. SHun looked around "Damn, that bastard has that idiot Lee eating out of the palm of his hand. I have to find him before it's too late." Shun pulled himself free and fell to the ground below "You cam run Lee, but you can't hide." He rose his hands around his ears and listend. He could hear Lee's heart beat, it was heading north "So I guess I'm going north." Shun picked up his sword and jumped up to teh roof top and started to run after Lee, before he did something he would regret fo r the rest of his life "You may have caught me off guard, ut don't expect me to lie down and except what you've done you bastard." With that Shun started to skip across roof tops and heading north after Lee.

James stood back as the hideous beast began to kackle. James realized this was an issue that Dante had to deal with himself, he stepped back and charged the gates instead. As he reached the gate he turned to Dante still staring down the devil "Hey, I'll see you on the other side." and with that said James walked into the void and marched ahead. It was like marching through a tunnel of fire, but it felt cold at the same time, like he was hot on the outside and frozen on the inside. He cold see the shadow at the end of this tunnel. He walked out into a world with a charred sky and large castle on the horizon "I guess this is as close to hell as a human is allowed to go." He walked to the castle, as he neared he could hear the eatters watching him, they were waiting for something to happen. James reared up his ear and heard a whistling, some thing was coming at him. He leaped to the air as a large spear hit the ground and demolished three eatters hiding over a ridge. James turned to look to where the weapon had come from. Floating delicatly in the air was the woman who had tried to seduce him earlier. She began to laugh "I knew you'd come eventually, now you can join me forever." She hurrled the weapon at him again. James rolled through and teh spear went right past him "Don't think you can control me like last time, this time I'll kill you." She smiled "I'll enjoy bathing in your blood and in your final moments you beg for me to hold you in your final minutes and I will hold you to my body as you grow colder and colder." James cringed "well, sorry to break your heart, but I don't beg for mercy from the merciless." With a whip of his wrist a pair of shains dropped from each wrist and had a large barb at the end of it "This time I'll see to it that you and your master decend to hell together."

Tommy set his hand on her forehead "Maybe it's better you not remeber. anyway, It's good to see you up, you've been sleeping for two whole days." SHe began to sit up and Tommy put his arms around her "I was really worried about you." He felt a sense of relief he couldn't describe in words. He held himself together, trying not to cry "You just rest, okay. I'll go get you something to eat." He stood up and kissed her one time then left. he went outside and saw what was left of the shrine, he walked to Flint "It's not going to be safe here anymore." Flint glanced to him quickly "I know." Tommy put his hand on Flints shoulder "I'll take Kiya back to my place. We can take the caravan, it'll go there and we'll be at my place in about 18 hours tops." Flint looked to tommy and nodded "Okay, I'll try to investigate where the statue went. dring the night, while Tommy, Flint and the others went to Kiyas aid, someone stole the remains of the dragon statue. toommy nodded to Flint and went to the fix something for Kiya to eat.

It wasn't til he saw that the ones he was taught to hate were not entirely evil, that his vision began to clear. He could see that he wasn't helping he was making things worse. It was at this time that he rose again and helped banish his own gang for the tyranny that they had envoked and the tyranny they had him preform under a false premise. Appearance:below Weapon: He carries a powerful septer, a monks staff. The edges are razor sharp and he uses it like a spear. Power: He carries the power of increased physical strength as well as the power to munipulate and create fire.

Emilio looked on as the others set up there camp. The girl, Chrys, looked up to him "Hey, aren't you going to help?" She sounded quiet irratated. Emilio looked to her "There's a river not far from here, about a mile north. I think I'll stay there tonight." Chrys scowled "What, were not good enough for you?" Emilio sighed "That's not it. I'm a Kappa, I prefer water to a tent. See you guys later." Emilio walked off, still coated in the now drying blood of the soilders he had killed. He walked north to a knee deep river. He crouched down and began to rinse the blood off his clothes. He stood back up from washing himself off and looked around to the trees and the forest, hearing only the sounds of nature "Now this is my kind of place." he fell back into the water and it was as if he merged with the water itself, as he disappeared in the very shallow water.
