James now more concerned then ever, because he failed to find out who was injuried when he recieved a call from HQ. The y said a fellow agent was injued and they need medical treatment. He tured His Harley in a 180 and spead toward the location in a hurry lead by by HQ. He pulled up on a small apartment building that was under vicious attack. He ran up stairs and found there to be several Chaos waters in the room he flicked his wrists and two blades dropped from his sleeves he sliced his way into the room to see the apartment empty his phone rang again and this time HQ said they were on there way there and to retreat. James turned to the door and saw two more staring right at him and he threw to shuriken right at there face stunning them and then removing there heads with his blades. he was becoming exhausted and knew he could'nt fight much longer and jumped to the parking lot injuring his leg and limped on to his motorcycle to follow after the team that left. there may still be problems if they have injuries.

((sorry my networks been down all week, though don't worry i caught myself up)) James rose from his dull nap to find he had fallen asleep on the side of the school on an old bench"So much for class" he said to himself as he gatherd his things. He headed toward the exit thinking 'why hang around now', but by the time he got to the gate he had a change of heart and doubled back. As he headed back in he noticed some other kid leaving. He ran up to ask what period it was. The boy replied it was last hour. "Thanks" he replied in a light tone as he they started from each other James turned and asked for his name. "I'm Hunter" he said without even turning to ask for his name. James shrugged it off and went inside. As he entered he noticed that there was a girl walking around in the hall he went up to her and said "hey, do you know where Mr. Wlliams room is". She pointed donw the hall '#124'. "thanks" he said as he headed down the hall. He suddenly heared her shout out to him. "Are you new here she asked". "yeah" He replied " just transfered today". she shot him a weird kind of sutble gaze and kept going. He found it strang, but thought little of it. As he entered the class he heared the others over talking an incident at the football fields, James decided to check it out after class. Fifteen minutes in and he can't stand it anymore. He stands up " Sir I don't feel well can I get a pass for the nurses office" the teacher looks at him for a moment and said" fine take the pass and go". James quikly made his way to the football feilds to the police had arrived and that there was a great deal of damage. He knew that it was a Chaos eater at work, but more disturbing than that was healso noticed traces of blood. though light it appeared someone had been hit which he knew was really bad without first aid. He ran into the school hoping to find someone in the nurses office. he found the office empty and in shambles. Whoever was her came to take care of a wound. He tried hard to find someone, they were already in class or off campus. He realized that as enterd the building that kid Hunter was leaving. He thought maybe he was the one. He had no time to lose he had to find out where he lived and find him before he turned.

I, personally, am a nerd and I am proud. The only people who see anime as childish have never seen real anime. What I mean are the deep, compelling, bloody, and sexual anime which are numerous. I have noticed that most people don't care anymore whether you do or don't. For example I openly read manga in class at school and talk about anime with friends in class and no one gives a flying fart. It does me well to see people growing up and not tormenting a person for watching anime. this is truly the golden age ot anime, soak it up cause it may end at ant time.

"Why the hell am I here" James thought quietly to himself ad he did almost everyday. He began to walk slowly into the dark gloomy building. He knew why he was there he just didn't like it. As he entered he felt a cold chill run down his back. Now either it was the air conditioner or it was them. Either way he mantained his rather bland expression. He began to walk through out the building looking to 229 Ms. Currigans room. It didn't take to long and as he entered the room everyone up, giving him an akward feeling, as he hand his schedule. He moved to an empty seat in a room now filled with whispes he tried to ignore. He went straight to the back, as he usally did and immediately set his head down for a nap. I t was only minutes later another newbie showed. His name was kyle or something like that, he didn't bother to pay that much attention and went right back to sleep.

Name: James hollister Age: 17 You are: Agent Appearance: short brown hair with a white birth mark steaking across the right side. He dresses in alot of non-lable clothes and is kind of repeled by those who are into that sort of thing. Though his hair is cleancut he fails to shave and has a ruged face, though he can't actually grow a beard it seems like he tries or he just dosen't care it's hard to tell. he often carries a tired almost depressed look on his face and appears like he may be a burnoout. he wears heavy coats like dusters and trench coats though even tin the summer months though strangely enough he dosen't sweat much. He has emerald green eyes and stands at 5'9. Occasionally wears dark red round frame glasses and a black stetson hat. Personality: He appears indifferent to others around him though he actually cares quite a bit. He keeps to himself and sleeps in class alot, though surprisingly he does rather well in school to the dismay of his teachers who seem to resent this fact. He isn't one to take upon himself to just make friends, he seems content on his even though truth be told he does get lonly( he just refuses to show it). He's not a bad guy, once he is your friend he is willing to do almost anything for his friends, which are severly lacking. He has a good sense of humor and great tolerance and he hates anyone who bares any kind of prejudice. Though he enjoies human contact his true passsion is the great outdoors. He likes to hike, camp, fish, and boating.(shocking is'nt it).He is trusting though unfortunatly he is also alittle dense sometimes. Weapon: He has a set of short retractable blades in the long sleeves of his heavy clothes. In the coats in pockets of the coat carries throwing darts and shuriken. He is highly skilled and is very quick to the kill. no funny buisness when it comes to the mission.

Name: Kyo age: 17 Gender: male Species: Half-demon( Hawk demon) Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde and just past shoulder lenght Height: 5'9 Weight: 112 ( due to his blood line. like a bird he has a lite build and skeleton, though with how tough he is it's hard to tell) Weapons/powers: He carries a long straight blade, a family heirloom, made from the silver feathers of his grand father. He has powerful talons on his hands and silver wings with razor sharp feathers. Cross slash, a swooping attack using his powerful arms and talons. silver swirl, he spins rapidly in mid-air launching his razor like feathers in all directions. He too is a time traveler. Background: Born in the northern mountains he lived in seclusion for most of his life, though a half-demon he still appears very different with his wings and all. He left home, well ranaway is more like it, when he was 12 and lived amonst the people he had been deprived of his whole-life. He had to dress heavily to cover his wings and gloves for his talons. He lived in this way for many years til' his sixteenth birthday, which he of course celebrated alone. He was filled with a cold forbodding feeling from head to toe. He was drawn and repeled by this feeling and knew no matter what it was it was bad. Personality: He is kind, though very detached due to the fact that he was ostrsized from society due to his odd dress and odd behavior regarding his past and family. Though he is rejected for it he has great pride in his family line and what he is. He always carries his sword with him, a fact which occasionally causes trouble with the police. He tries hard to due the right thing even when it;s not clear what that maybe. He is sincere in the things he does and say. Mission: to find this terrible forboding energy and rid himself and the world of it. -
I am and avid fan of the manga but I feel the anime difers from what made the manga so great. The manga was good becauuse Daisuke seemed more like a teenage kid than a romantic hero (which lets face it, don't exist). I thought that the way that Daisuke and Dark differd in their priorities really created a sense of conflict which, to spite the evil artwork in the anime, made the world seem more chaotic. Plus Krad seemed far more sinister, he wasn't formal or refined he just seemed almost innocent, yet ommninous at the same time. Overall I find the anime inferior to the manga. Sorry fans of the anime, IT IS.

Anime Dating Anime Characters: Would You?
Starwind replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
If I were going to date an anime character it would have to be Madlax. For those of you who don't know who Madlax is, she's a hired gun with a calm and cool attidue with a killer bod. She's a girl who can look out for herself and I respect that in a girl, she can look out for herself and is not shy with her sexuality if you catch my drift. She would be the only anime girl I'd go for. most are to needy or just down right abusive. She's the one for me. -
I have almost finished the entire series and I have to say it is one of my favorite animes of all time. SHELL BULLET ROCKS. For those of you watching it on Adult swim and are still relativly new I promise things only get better. New enemies and new alliances are made. I wish I could have alter power, then no one would screw with me man. YEAH!!!

If I were to pick the best anime storyline it would have to be Neon Genisis Evangelian It wins my vote because of how they take a simple story, destroy attacking monsters in giant robot, and made it amazingly deep and involving. They have numerous plot twists, every character has some kind of back story and the whole idea of where it ends is a little creepy in a lose-lose kind of way. That's not to say that it's the only good one, it's just my favorite. I also enjoy Outlaw Star( can you tell), S-cry-ED, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, FLCL, Madlax, and I even like DBZ

I have both a set of step-parents and a set of real parents. My real dad watches DBZ, and has the complete japanese uncut version as well. My step mom is really kind of indifferent. My step dad despices it, denouncing it as childish cartoons though he refuses to watch them with me( I know one episode of Evangelian, Harlock saga, or Soultaker would change his mind on how childish they are). My real mom poses more of a quiet protest, though she understands they are anything but just another normal cartoon so I over look it. I don't understand the objections against anime, though I respect anyone who genuine dosen't like it. What upsets me are people criticizing who have never even seen one, and yet they know enough to say "it's bad for our children" and " it's promoting violence against others". The biggest group involved are our government who believe violence on T.V. is the problem with America, not the declining economy or the decay of the public schooling system but violence in anime and video games is this countries problems. These people need a new topic and parents " LEAVE YOUR KIDS ALONE AND LET THEM ENJOY ANIME" instead of giving them a hard time for it.

I am now and will always be anime nut, but of all anime I have three favorites. Number 1 is S-cry-ED, I first saw the anime in mid 2004 and fell in love, ALLTER POWER ROCKS. Next is the legendary Neon Genisis Evangelian, I first saw this series in late 2000 and at first seemed like another gundam Knock off, just more giant robots, but as the story progressed it became obvious that this was much more than that, the orginal story and plot twists are what really got me. Finally Soultaker, I first saw this macabe piece of work in 2002 and the awesome powers, monsters/mutants, and fights is the selling point on this one for me, though I did enjoy the character development and the dark atmosphere. Those of all anime are my favorites up to this point.

Anime Which Animes Are Dubbed Best/Worst?
Starwind replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Otaku Central
My favorite dubbing of all anime has to go to Neon Genisis Evangelian. I really liked how they portrayed the characters, I mean all the voice actors really came into their rolls. Esspecially Tiffany Grant as Asuka, I mean she actually used some German dialouge and Asuka is german. How much sense does that make. Rei was also pprtrayed wonderfully, Amanda Winn caught perfectly Rei's dull and droll personality. Spike Spencer did a phenomenal job as Shinji Ikari, I mean that whiney, obnoctious tone and always complaining, it's almost identical to the tone from the original( Though aliked all the girly screaming on his part in the english edition more). Next on my list of my favorite character voices is Alison Keith as Misato, she really came to life to me through Alison (Probably because I know someone like Misato and she portrayed the voice and personality beautifully). their is so much more I could say but unfortunately my hands are starting to cramp, but still of all anime Evangelian has the finest dubbing I've heard. -
Anime I have a question about animes in america.
Starwind replied to rascalkitten's topic in Otaku Central
As bad as the crossover from manga to anime may seem it's reasonable in the case when the anime is released before the end of the manga. Sometimes to ad new edge to the series their needs to be changes. The methods used to create tension in an anime is different than the one needed for a manga. The crossover process is not as simple as directly mimicing the manga, sometimes you need total scene changes. Doesn't mean it can't be annoying... but still. -
I've never known a game worse than Superman 64. That game is a sin against gamers everywhere, they took a good idea and made it awful. Between the clunky controls and the inane story line I felt my eyes bloating in my skull.
-
Is their a time for the release or is it still in th dark. I'm a serious .Hack fan so I'd like to know anything you can tell me.

To say precisly what age I was I'm not sure. I think I was 5 when I first saw Trasformers. During my early days I fell in and out of anime without realizing it. I have over time slowly traced back the shows I watched to see how much anime I really watched. I know now that this was no coincidence that I fell in love with anime.
-
My only real complaint aganist the anime/Manga crossover process (The way in which a manga is turned to anime) is so clumsy sometimes. For example, I'm a fan of the Love Hina manga, yes I'm a guy so laugh it up, but not the anime. It just seems like they try to change it to much sometimes thats my only real grievance. P.S. Naot all anime is based from Manga, sometimes it's the other way around(examle is Neon Genisis Evangelian, if you read the ending commentary to volume one of the manga they mention the series was already half way to completion by the time the manga wa released. Thought you'd want to know.)

Anime Dating Anime Characters: Would You?
Starwind replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
I don't think I could ever date a an anime character. Sure their are some hot ones, but they all seem a little over the top to me. But one to be avoided at all costs is Asuka from Evangelian. At first in the series she seems like the comic relief of the series, but slowly, as the series goes on, you get to see how truly psychotic she really is. She's obcessive and just cruel to not just Shinji, though he is a panzy, but to everyone around her.(To get a better idea of how truly psychotic she is watch the directors cut episodes and the truth comes out) -
My first anime experience happend when I was 8 when I first saw DBZ, then I got swept up in the pokemon craze(Ah, days of foolish youth). In the sixth grade, long after I had fallen from the pokemon and DBZ craze, I was exposed to Zoids: Chaotic Century and I've been adicted ever since
-
I start this to say I know most peoples first anime experience was Pokemon or BDZ or Digimon. Mine was actually in 1998 when afriend showed me an episode of Neon Genisis Evangelian which is why anyone who reads my previous posts will see I favor it over most other. I post this find out how and when my fellow OBers found their way to anime, no matter how they may have come across it.
